Jordan looked around at the forest of illusion. Nothing to be seen, the dark vast tree filled area was pure darkness. The creatures that dwelled here had magical and mental abilities that far surpassed even the Kanassans. This is what sent Jordan on the hunt to begin with. He could feel Kamatayan close at hand. They were all in close proximity of the foul beast. Jordan himself was a mere forty feet, or so he had estimated by sense, from the beast that had wrecked havoc all along the eastern lands of the Kanassan people. Always retreating into the forest after devouring a hoard of Kanassan innocents. Children, women, men…It did not matter. This beast was a threat, one that the people of the planet could not protect themselves from. Jordan had received another S.O.S only days before. The people were desperate, and had heard how he and his friends took out an ancient dragon. That maybe he could help with this beast. Perhaps this beast had been the key to the sister village only a few miles south of it. Jordan sank into his fighting stance. It was time to become one with nature and his surroundings. To defeat this foul beast, to ensure the people of this planet were safe from its intentions for all of time. Or at least until another, heaven forbid, ever took its place. For all Jordan knew, it was the only one of its kind. An ancient evil that somehow survived the dark vacuum of space. Jordan woke up from his bed, letting his arms outstretch and touched Mikaela softly upon her side. Her soft skin tingled as he let his finger tips run down her back and softly over her tail. “Good morning my love.”, Jordan said as he rolled over and cuddled up next to his life-mate. Mikaela batted her eye lids at her mate, and raised her hand delicately over them to rub out the fairy dust that had settled in from the nights sleep she had just been awoken from. With a lazy smile, one that you know of from waking up to the man or woman that you love in this life and seeing them next to you day in and day out. “Good morning Jordan, how did you sleep babe”? Jordan yawned and leaned in to kiss her on the forehead, letting his lips slide down her left cheek and close to her ear. “Wonderful, with you by my side. I love you”. Mikaela arched her neck and took his lips to hers. Creating a moment of heaven between the two lovers. Time seemed to stop in its place, while the moment was extricated longer than it would have been on any other day. But this was special, these moments were what made the couple work. All of existence could kiss their ass, for right now it was about them and no amount of time would take that from them. Jordan smiled and kept his eyes closed, muzzling his mate’s nose with his own. Mikaela did the same. Holding one another closely, only the sound of silence and love in the air. Unfortunately it did not last as long as they had hoped, for the alarm began to buzz and the silence broken. “We are up Angelica…You should know this…”, Jordan said with a sound of bitterness in his mouth. Apparently Angelica did not care to respond. For she was programmed to do a job and she was going to fulfill all her duties. Even if it meant waking the captain and his mate from a picture perfect moment. Jordan kissed his mate once more on the forehead and moved himself from the bed, letting his feet his the cool ground. He cracked his knuckles and popped his neck, always sticking with routine…it was a Saiyan thing any how. Jordan moved from his bed and put on his gear, it was time to train before the day began. He moved silently through the halls of his ship and into the gravity training room. It had been a week and now was time to up the gravity to times fifty normal gravity. Jordan grinned as he pushed the button and felt the altered atmosphere press down against his shoulders. Jordan then spread his legs shoulder width apart and with a convulsion, he split into two beings. Jorlece soon appeared and grinned. Doing a few stretches before their training would commence. “Two hours and then we begin the day”. Jordan nodded his head, and his partner set into an attack. Using all the speed he could muster, even at half power was still quite impressive. Jordan parried and countered. The two had been doing this for several weeks and became very in tune with one another’s fighting style. It improved both exponentially as fighters. Soon the alarm chimed and it signaled the two sweaty and battered warriors that two hours had passed and chow was essential for the next portion of the day. With a violent twist and convulsion once more, two became one individual self once more. Jordan made his way slowly to the button on the machine and pushed it off. The atmosphere returned to normal and all that weight lifted off his shoulders. Jordan felt light as a feather and stronger than ever. He liked training in gravity, made him focused and when he hit a planet in a battle that gravity he could sift through rather easily. Made him lethally fast. Jordan ran his hand through his sweaty hair and felt refreshed. He figured it would be best for a quick shower before chow…Jordan made his way back to his room, where he found Mikaela naked and already in the shower. He could see her shadowy figure through the steam and quickly joined her. It seemed Jordan wanted a bit more exercise and took his shower for a full hour with his mate. Soft moans could be heard coming from the room as well as feral grunts. Soon the couple finished up their intimate shower and both dried off and reported to the mess hall together. Hand in hand. Jordan grabbed himself and Michaela a plate of food, while she grabbed two waters. She glowed as she walked around the room and a few of the crew members only grinned. As they knew the love life of their captain was rather enthralled. More so than most beings they had met in their life time. The often wondered if it would sustain through the ages… Jordan returned to his mate and sat down next to Joni. They exchanged brief pleasantries and began to devour their food. It was a good morning, good food and great loving. Jordan figured the days events would be typical. Nothing too lavish or adventuresome. He walked by the rejuvenation chambers to check on the two warriors he had beat upon battle and they seemed to be healing just fine. He grinned, as he wondered about their intentions and place in this universe but quickly came back to reality and headed for the other wings of his ship. He like to make his rounds and ensure his crew was good to go. Which they always seemed to be. It made work easy, Jordan then completed some simulations about possible battles in space and found it to be noon rather quickly. Time to eat once more. Jordan continued on towards the chow hall, and ate his lunch quickly. It was only sandwiches and chips. Nothing decadent, just enough to do the job. Jordan thanked Cordai for the meal and went about his business. The next few hours seemed as if they passed on slower than an hour glass poured the sand from its make. It was near around dinner time when Jordan was being haled to the bridge. “Always got to catch me before dinner time…”, Jordan thought to himself as headed towards the bridge. He walked quickly, but silently. His mind began to wonder what it could be…could it be the southeastern village once more? Or was it something new…could it be connected? Only time would soon tell, for now it was time to discover what this was all about Jordan had a slight grin on his face, he was hoping some sort of new adventure awaited for him on the bridge of the Adalricus…. The crew seemed to be doing their evening tasks while Jordan was oblivious to anyone around him. His thoughts were now purely set on the village they had saved from the oversized Kassack that had been hunting them all down. Jordan could not help but remember Kamatayan's report on the child and the illusion he had projected towards him to get away from the Saiyan warrior. As Jordan walked his way to the bridge he could feel Andrasta swell up with emotion. Something seemed to be bothering her as well, and in light of being haled to the bridge she too had begun to think about the village they rescued and that this might be the case once more. Perhaps we should take Karas and Kamatayan back and investigate further Jordan? I think something else is wrong, I continue to reach out to that portion of the planet and feel nothing but a void. Where the Kanassan people should be glowing with vibrant energy and thoughts. Especially after such an accomplishment, ridding them of the evil Gorgon that was terrorizing them for God knows how long... Jordan listened to his companion, and took her words to heart. Something indeed was wrong, something had to be done. Perhaps Gorgon was only the centerpiece of this mystery. Perhaps something, or someone was behind the void that was now prevalent in the minds of the entire village. Aside from the elder's themselves. When Jordan had reported back, they were all teeming with joy and seemed to be acting accordingly. About as usual as any other Kanassan Jordan had met on the planet thus far. Nothing seemed awry and he had left as quickly as he had came. But now something was egging on at the half-breed. Something that was not just going to go away. It was time to round up the guys, and go do a bit more investigating of that village. Jordan finally made it to the bridge and he had seen a video log with a human in it. A Kanassan was next to him and the human speaking for him as Jordan walked onto the bridge of the ship. “Jordan, we have heard news from our brothers in a southeastern village you and a few others seemed to visit the other day. They said you would be our greatest chance at ridding ourselves of this foul beast. And possibly it could cure the mindless mystery they are trying to unravel at the moment themselves…Would you and your men be willing to look into this beast and eradicate from all existence for us? We are helpless and in desperate need of saving….”, said the human standing before him. Jordan grinned, his response was simply put yes. He proceeded to ask for the coordinates of the village and where to begin. Jordan was supplied with all the information he requested and soon cut off the link between him and the human standing before him. "Angelica, open up a communication link with Kamatayan's ship". Jordan then saw his friend standing in front of him, beads of sweat dripping down off his body. Jordan raised his brow briefly, seeing all the scarring on the saiyans body was something new to Jordan. He quickly woke himself up from his state of mind and proceeded to talk to his ally. "Hey Kama, I have just gotten news of another beast running amuck around the eastern lands of the Kanassans. I think this may be connected with Gorgon and the southeastern village, and possibly the reasoning on the report of the mindless child. I think you, me, and Karas should go do some investigating of our own. I do not think killing Gorgon was the key to unlocking their minds and possibly spirits. If your up for a little adventure and mystery, meet me over here at the ship. We will leave in an hour or so. Should give plenty of time to shower and grab something to eat before we head out. If you want some grub, Cordai is cooking meatloaf tonight. It is pretty good, your welcome to your share as always". Jordan listened to his friend's response and ended the link after the pleasantries were done and he had agreed to come over to the ship. It would not be long, Kamatayan was a prompt soldier. A man of his word and one who did not seem to keep anyone waiting. He only disliked other races that had not earned his trust. Saiyan or not, for that matter. Karas, Its Jordan. How would you like to go and investigate a little mystery. That village seems to be out of whack and I figure that: you, myself and Kamatayan; can go on ahead and solve this one. It would help out this village as well as the other and give us something to do. If your up for it. We are going to be dining and grabbing some chow before we head out to the village. If your willing, come grab a plate with us. We will leave in an hour. Jordan released himself from the mind of Karas and let his thoughts become his own. Jordan had figured he would come, there was not much else going on in the ship and adventure and a mystery was always fun to decode. No one would pass it up. That much Jordan was sure of... Twenty Minutes later... Jordan was sitting down in the chow hall by himself, he felt the presence of only Kamatayan enter the room. He did not even have to look up or stop eating. Jordan simply reached out with his mind and greeted Kamatayan. Telling him to grab as much as he would like and take a seat. They would keep on schedule and get the hell out of dodge as he had stated in his original message to both the battle hardened warriors. Jordan watched out of the corner of his eye as Kamatayan took what he wanted and devoured it within moments. Jordan smiled, warrior's appetites never ceased to amaze him. They were always eating and training. Rarely sleeping though. Jordan figured it was because they did not want to let their dreams run wild with creativity. But that was neither here nor there. Now was the time to finish their meal and get heading out for the village that needed some help recovering their sanity. Jordan had gotten up and threw away his tray, with Kamatayan following suit and before he knew it Jordan was on his way out of the ship with his compatriot following him close at hand. "Well, might as well get to cracking this case before the sun comes up. Look for anything out of place fella's". The group then launched themselves out of the hatch door and followed Jordan towards the new village. Their aura's flared around them, with Jordan in the lead. It would not take terribly long to reach their destination. Within about an hour the village was in sight and Jordan began to slow his pace. Letting the other two come to his side... Kamatayan had received word from Jordan about the excursion they took just a short while ago. The fight against Gorgon had been one that was incredibly tough and difficult until they realised the beast had flaws by genetic design. What looked intimidating and dangerous to others, especially other dragons were a source of exposure for Kamatayan and his friends to exploit. He was already on board for this next expedition out into the wilds of Kanassa to find out more. Having eaten aboard Jordan's ship Kamatayan already fully clad out in battle-gear. His scouter equipped, his mind sheathed by his mask of a thousand horrors. Even though he had already been granted the slippery mind technique by the Soothsayer Ru'ketal the Saiyan wanted to be certain that nothing was capable of breaching his mind. This additional security would be wise to avoid complete detection by the other telepathics out there. The time was upon them to take flight and explore the planet once more in search of what they needed. It took a considerable amount of time for them to reach the village but this was to be where Kamatayan left the trip. He turned his attentions towards Jordan to inform him of his own plan regarding all of this. Finding what was the cause of all this was to be important yet if they all turned up at another village then Kamatayan felt whatever force was behind it would get suspicious. “Jordan, I'm going to check further out in the wilds. See if I can find anything of interest there. I think we would be too likely to alert whatever is responsible if we all turn up together. If Gorgon was only the tip of the iceberg as you suggest then we will need to be well prepared to face this. I want to find the extent of the problem in terms of its range so I will look for a few other small villages beyond the forest of illusion and see what they are like,” Kamatayan said as he changed direction in the sky. Taking a more direct southerly route. Kamatayan swept around a large mountain, feeling the presence of some nearby he had travelled quite far south on this world. Further south than any of the Kanassians like Ru'ketal, Ja'vei or Ja'rel mentioned of being worthwhile. In these most extreme, distant territories though it was often where you found true relics of Kanassian history. Things changed very quickly as he reached the south western part of the mountain. Being so far south this part of the world was quite dark. It wasn't cool though, it just seemed that even now at this stage of day the sun had not become that prominent. Landing on a cobbled path the rain pattered subtly against the path and soft, marshy ground around him. With a shallow stream just behind him these lands certainly were marshy – perhaps it was the atmosphere and air here that also shielded out a lot of the light. It was quite hazy here and the air certainly felt different when breathing it in. As Kamatayan took a few paces forward two Kanassian guards came walking down the stone stairway. This was seemingly a small outpost that was here to keep watch or to protect something. These Kanassians were slightly different though, each wielding a small axe to hand. This seemed to be different from the usual way of Kanassian combat. They also wore a binding armour rather than loose robes. It seems these Kanassians were used to seeing combat a little more than their Northern brethren. “Who are you?” the first Guard asked. “I'm Kamatayan, a Saiyan visitor to your world just exploring and learning more,” Kamatayan replied. For a moment the two guards went silent. Staring right through the Saiyan with a vacant, blank expression. It would seem that the telepathic network wasn't as natural a thing for these Kanassians as they took a few seconds to get the information they needed. Finally though he turned his attentions back to Kamatayan with the glossy, glazed over look vanishing from his eyes once more. “So we see, then you are free to enter, perhaps you can be of help to us as you have been so many of our brethren,” the second guard said to the Saiyan. With a courteous nod between the three the guards turned and assumed their posts at the top of the stairway once more. Kamatayan began to make his way up the stone stairs, flanked by two large stone walls. The size of the stairway and the walls had masked what was inside this little outpost. As Kamatayan made his way up to the first tier of the outpost it was clear to see there were numerous Kanassian warriors. Looking an awful lot more like those who had seen fight against the Saiyans in ancient times than their contemporaries up north. Kamatayan turned his attentions left to something that caught his eye. A large blue feathered bird with red plumage. Kamatayan stood a considerable six feet tall but this bird was at least double that in height and probably treble in length. Staring in awe at the bird as he approached the bird did not react as one would expect. It did not fear Kamatayan, yet at the same time it clearly did not trust him. Large, razor sharp black claws were in a position easily capable of striking. As Kamatayan took a single pace closer to examine the beast its head quickly lowered and its wings spread widely with a piercing screech and an intent stare from the bird directly at the Saiyan. A Kanassian woman quickly clamoured across to settle and soothe the bird. She was donned in a more relaxed outfit it would seem so not everyone here had warrior duties. Or if she did, perhaps she was just 'off-duty' as it were, a concept alien to Saiyans. “Don't worry, this is a war bird they can get agitated around strangers,” She said to Kamatayan as she soothed the bird back into its more upright position. “I haven't seen war birds anywhere else on Kanassa,” Kamatayan said wondering why he hadn't seen them before. “We used to have thousands but as our technology advanced they became more exotic pets, and when we did finally need to call upon them a large quantity were slaughtered at the hands of invaders,” she continued to explain, so it seems the Saiyans had thinned their numbers out. “I see, still, such an ancient and historical ally to have must be nice,” Kamatayan said, in awe of the beasts size. Kamatayan was taking in the sights on this first tier of this little outpost. It was battle ready but it did not seem to be in the conventional sense. Not so much like they were trying to stop anything from getting in, but rather trying to stop things from getting out. As Kamatayan wondered how Jordan was faring so far he turned his attentions towards the next embankment of stairs. Another narrow flight flanked by large stone walls. He would soon venture up there. wc: 1200 Kama total: 1200 PS total: 3789 |

Kamatayan ascended the next flight of stairs. This level of the outpost was vastly different. A couple of buildings that would serve as places for them all to reside. More tellingly though there were a few cooking pots, braziers and forges here. The kinds of places to feed and arm the guards who littered this place. As well as countless storage boxes filled with who knew what. It was tight and compact with the cover further up the stairways. In the middle of this platform though there seemed to be one item of luxury of sorts, one thing which didn't fit in with this ever vigilant, prepared for battle outlook. A small water feature present in the centre of a stone structure. Bright blue crystals illuminating the area with its slightly eerie light. It was a nice touch but as Kamatayan gazed beyond it he noticed the side of the mountain now. The mountain had changed from jagged rock to huge outward spines of sorts. It made it seem impossible to climb up but as he looked closely the rock was fashioned in ways that made it dangerous and for anything large it certainly had the potential to be used a spike rack. This was not natural though, clearly it had been done by the Kanassians... or something else but as he gazed up into the sky they dominated the skyline. Most arching backwards behind him and out of the outpost they were so large and endless in stature. Kamatayan became far more suspicious of this mountain now. He had already noticed it seemed more designed to prevent something attacking from the mountain, but now the mountain seemed more like it had another purpose itself. Clearly some grand thought and design had gone into this. It was most confusing and worrying as he looked up realising the scale of this. Even the smallest of the shards were around thirty feet in length. The largest were probably in excess of five hundred. Kamatayan moved up from this tier, expecting to find himself on a third. Now however he had entered a narrow channel, steep stone flanks littered with the spikes. Nothing of number could rush down here, and any slip would see a force getting impaled on or decimated by the spikes. Several platforms were constructed into the stone to act as sentry points and as flanking positions it seemed. Tiny garrisons in truth for probably five or six men. Illuminated by eerie crystals Kamatayan continued up this steep bank. It was on such a severe gradient he realised the strategic value now. Anything rushing down here would be incredibly likely to slip on the loose gravel like path. Anything being careful would be vulnerable to a charging attack. Having the high ground here was a disadvantage. It was designed to be so. A strange gap had appeared at a slight bend in the path, it too a tactical ploy of sorts. It would look like the path could continue on that way, in the dark conditions where crystals had conveniently been left absent from. The rock was smooth and slick with gravel around it. There was little traction as Kamatayan peered over the side he could see more spikes down below. A true death trap that had probably caught out a great many who had tried to escape. The Kanassians had clearly been cunning with how all of this had been set up. The outpost was only manned by around twenty or so guards but it the sheer effectiveness of battle on this terrain probably meant each individual was worth a hundred men when you factored in their telepathic and telekinetic powers too. As Kamatayan continued to trudge up through the loose gravel and shale stone path he eventually did come to a third tier. From here the outpost below was completely hidden. The path genuinely did look like it led directly into the spike pit. Turning his attentions forward once more this tier was very different. A narrow cave entrance with a handful of guards here. There were a huge amount of first aid here presumably because here the guards were very active on a day to day basis. Making his way to the entrance of the cave a weary Kanassian stood guard at the entrance. He was gazing intently into the cave, seemingly watching for any and all movement. As Kamatayan walked up along side him he could hear the faint scuttling and movement within the cave. More than just howling winds, something was definitely in there. The weary Kanassian turned to the Saiyan, glancing over him and realising he was ready for battle. “Our commander wants this tunnel cleared out so we can trade with the harbourage on the other side. I can not leave my post here though and can only attack the spiders when they try to leave. Are you up to clearing out the tunnel? You look like you might be quite capable and I've heard about you on the telepathic network... but these are some of the most dangerous spiders on our planet. We can't kill them just yet and are waiting for a concerted effort from both sides, but if you could clear it out we could deliver reinforcement and first aid to our comrades on the other side,” the Kanassian sentinel said. This was all rather presumptuous of course but Kamatayan nodded politely. He was more interested in seeing what challenge these spiders could pose him. If anything could actually successfully navigate the sheer drops and overhangs of this mountainside it probably would be spiders. Kamatayan hadn't really come across any spiders yet on Kanassa, perhaps they were exclusive to this region? Either way, Kamatayan wanted to clear through the tunnel and find the commander on the other side. “I'll be through to your commander shortly. I'll tell him to send word once there so he can organise the reinforcement effort,” Kamatayan said with an arrogant smirk. As he entered the cave light quickly began to diminish. There wasn't much coming from where the outpost lay anyway. The scuttling sound of shuffling legs could be heard all around though. The sounds reverberating through the tunnel. The air grew damp, it tasted of death and smelled even worse. The Saiyans scouter could sense life forms up ahead, their power levels coming in between twenty and twenty five thousand. Powerful creatures, far more powerful than the average Kanassian. Entering with trepidation he knew the spiders would be sensitive enough to each movement he made. At the same time though he knew he had the power to dispose of them with relative ease. Kamatayan powered up, his aura flaring wildly and illuminating the cave. The size of the spiders it revealed as phenomenal however. They easily stood a foot taller than the Saiyan with large dripping mandibles. Poison oozed from their fangs as they salivated over what they expected to be their next meal. With his aura providing light and revealing the grotesque spiders it also revealed the egg sacs on the walls. Who knew how many spider younglings were in there. One thing was certain though, the Kanassians would have a whole lot more troubles on their hands if these were allowed to hatch because once the hunger set in there would soon be a large amount of spiders bearing down on whatever forces were stationed at both sides of the tunnel. Perhaps they knew this was likely, hence why they asked Kamatayan. Besieged by spiders Kamatayan fended them off in clutches of two or three at a time. Ploughing deeper into the dark, dank cavern of this tunnel. Fighting his way in ever deeper and the smells getting ever worse his scouter flagged up something terrifying. A power level of one hundred thousand. A much larger, more mature spider. It's mandible bigger than the other spiders alone. It had quite clearly taken considerable offence to Kamatayan killing its young. Kamatayan powered up into his giji form. The pale light that had previously illuminated the cave now gave way to a stronger, flickering red light that bathed the spider making it look even more ferocious and evil. However, the spiders all had one weakness. Their legs were large and gangly. They were easily broken. Kamatayan powered forward and whilst the spider had quick movement it was not able to stop the Saiyan from grasping and snapping its limbs. Quickly incapacitating the beast despite its power and tolerance for pain it was fragile. As the spiders legs twitched as it tried to move them it was incapacitated. It was no longer worth trying to finish the beast through direct means. It was defeated and it knew it. Kamatayan tore the egg sacs from the walls, piling them all up on top of the maturer, larger spider. His plan to end it all was cunning and devious. Charging his energies for several seconds he continued to push them further before unleashing a scalding solar flare through the cavern. Purifying it with the burning solar energies. The egg sacs caught alight, and the end of the spider would be through flame. As Kamatayan reached the other side of the cavern it was a much different environment. Far lighter and not barren rock but soft ground, trees and foliage. Several placid animals roamed the area but the Kanassian commander was the first there greeting him. As Kamatayan emerged stained with the blood of spiders and his armour splattered with their failed attempts at injecting poison the commander knew immediately that he had been successful. “Good work! That tunnel is our only lifeline right now,” the commander said to the Saiyan. “No problem, I enjoyed it,” the Saiyan replied. As the two made their way along the relatively short path towards the next outpost it was clear to see that this one had not been quite so long in the planning. It still had narrow passageways between stone embankments but it was not as well constructed. There were trees nearby which could in theory be used to bridge the gaps or provide access to the outpost. “I'm sure you wonder just what is happening on this mountain,” The Kanassian said. Kamatayan nodded, it had seemed most odd. This mountain seemed to have more varied life in just a few hundred yards than most of the rest of Kanassa had in miles of its expanses of land. The foliage too was more varied in its nature and as Kamatayan gazed around there were strange multicoloured lizards with wings making their way between treetops. They had webbed feet though suggesting a more amphibian side too. Large cats prowled the perimeters, resting in the shade the large spikes provided. Various smaller animals made their way between trees and small holes that served as their homes as well as a variety of birds. “This mountain was untouched by the invaders millennia ago – it is all that remains of the ancient Kanassa we now will never see again. However, it also serves as a prison. Keeping in all the species who would be dangerous to Kanassians and have either attempted to wipe us out or would soon do so. It has kept Kanassian people safe, but weak. Those who are here survive by strength alone meaning that we have extremely powerful entities here,” the commander said. “I think some of them may be escaping,” Kamatayan asserted boldly. “You do? Why so?” The commander asked. “Myself and some others fought a large dragon called Gorgon not long ago,” Kamatayan said before the commander interrupted him. “Gorgon... Gorgon has been imprisoned here for thousands of years... how and when did he escape...” the commander said horrified. “He had been in a slumber for a long time... It made him easier to defeat than if he had been alert and ready for us,” Kamatayan said respectfully. “But we thought this place inescapable. We have been losing control of the mountain though... each passing generation of Kanassians aren't as great as warriors as those before. We have a few outposts here but are losing contact with one another and not getting to keep a check on all the residents. If Gorgon has escaped I wonder who else has?” the Commander said still in shock. The two conversed for a while checking on and eliminating as many beasts and individuals from Kanassa's vault of criminals so to speak trying to work out just who it was that may have also escaped with Gorgon. Kamatayan had been sharing all the information he was gathering directly with Jordan. It would then be down to Jordan to work out what was best to do with this information and how best he could help those people within that village. It seemed Kamatayan was to have his hands full dealing with the numerous problems that had arisen here now. wc: 2159 Kama total: 3359 PS total: 5348 |

Kamatayan had told Jordan of his plan to disperse from the group and continue on with his own investigation, he has set his scouter to record and forward all and everything that had been found out to Jordan's own. Jordan continued on by himself to the eastern village. Which seemed to be closing in rather quickly, according to the coordinates it was only about five miles out from the saiyan warrior. Jordan entered the village, descending slowly and peacefully at a sluggish pace. He did not want to cause need for panic. For a mob of telepathic Kanassans was no fun in any way or form. Jordan walked up, surrounded by a few stronger Kanassans, towards the elder's hut. Inside was the human he had found to be on the communication link S.O.S that had been sent out to begin with. Jordan only stood and listened to the puppet begin to speak. Jordan could tell it was a Kanassan who was speaking through him, for the logic and way he had talked was not a human's way at all. Not unless this human had been raised in the Kanassan network from birth...in any case, he did not seem to be threat here and Jordan dismissed the history of what he claimed his existence to. He wanted bare facts and a lead upon which to begin. Jordan had not heard from Karas, and he was going to have words with him as to the reason why he chose not to join him and Kamatayan. But for the time being it was time to investigate and take out this benevolent creature from the face of the planet. All the while Jordan listened to the facts and last sightings of the foul beast, while deciphering what Kamatayan had under his own belt. Apparently he had been through a series of levels of a prison and made his way past a slew of angry man-eating spiders. It seemed his journey was shaping up into a far better and more adventuresome than his own. For now he was just being told fact upon fact, or at least it was from this village's point of view. He was most eager to get on with the hunt and get rid of this terror that was controlling so many. Jordan contiuned listening, patiently, to the council and its ambassador talk about the beast that had been plaguing them for the past three weeks now. It was grander in power than all the beings Jordan had heard of or seen thus far on the planet. Save a few allies and himself. He grinned when he learned that its power level was some one-hundred and ten thousand. It had meant that it would push him into his transcended state. To push him to his own limits. Jordan could not wait to expell the vermon and take record of this in his own log aboard the Adalricus. After a good long while of talking and debating over the creatures last known where abouts Jordan finally was released from the council and sent outwardly towards the forest of illusion to where the smell of blood and death cursed through the air. Jordan could hear his feet crunch on the small bones left over from Kanassan people, or other beasts that ruled within the depths of the dark forest. A smirk came over Jordan's face as he felt the presence of the "warrior" Kanassans begin to fade from him, and it was him only left. He knew they had no chance at helping him and they took the smart route to live and fight another day. To let Jordan have his chance at this monster and take it out from the forest himself. It did not bother Jordan, just made him chuckle to himself. It would be a good test of his own strength. Jordan continued on through the forest, relying upon his telepathic abilities to guide him towards the fresh kills that the beast had just devoured. The forest spoke to him, however softly, it still had reached out and touched Jordan's mind. He continued to trust the route they had showed him. He was soon came upon a ravine where he had to cross a body of water. The only problem was, there was the lesser cousin of the foul beast that dictated who got to cross. Jordan smiled, easily sensing the power of this creature, a lagoon long necked orange beast. No telling how large and to what depth it touched the bottome. Only that it had crooked sharp teeth and blood stained its lips. This was not the beast Jordan had been sent to take care of, but it would help the Kanassan people if it was brought to justice. Jordan eyed it slowly as it circled around the depths of the water, carefully watching Jordan. What are you doing here...This is my river, none shall pass. All shall die. Die at the fangs of my mouth and into the depths of my belly. You have ventured into a land that you do not fully understand Saiyan. Go back, not even your Oozaru form shall save you from my wrath. I give you one chance to flee. Do it now! Jordan could then feel Andrasta rise up and reach out into the mind of the prehistoric beast. She was feral and fed up with its imputence. That would be its undoing. For Andrasta was the most ancient of creatures and she did not allow such talk exist, from no one. I am bound to my kindred spirit, I am a dragon. My mother, Coral the Swift. And my fater, Jakalti the Silent Assasain. I am Andrasta, the Keeper of Peace and Dreams. You shall fade from existence for your meniacle tongue. You damned creation of the cosmos. Remember these words, now it is time to die. Jordan could feel his joints being moved in a uniformed motion along with Andrasta. It was as if she were directing his actions at the most swift and eloquent way of defeating this creature before him. Before the creature had gotten a chance to defend itself Jordan blasted his aura and power flew to the creature. Below its jaw he thrust his hand, in a knife like fashion, into the beasts soft spot below its chin. He reached in and grabbed a hardened rock that beat like a heart. He ripped it out and let the acid drip from his hands. His own hands protected by the incarnum magic that he could feel Andrasta had begun to flow from her soul in a protective measure for Jordan's flesh not to be ate up by it. Jordan launched himself into the air and threw the now slowing "heart" into the wilderness for whatever small creature to devour for a meal. The beast before him fell lifelessly into the river. Sinking into the depths of the black water below. Jordan could not believe how swiftly and quickly he took the life of that being. It was indeed necessary, but he still could not believe how much his soul was interwined with Andrasta. It was truly a unique feeling. He could not explain to anyone...perhaps Mikaela, but for now it was something totally to himself. Jordan continued on from the river, letting the past remain where it lay and on to the next creature that had been haunting the Kanassan people of the Easternlands. Jordan continued to monitor the footage sent forth from Kamatayan. Soon they would be near one another once more and complete this necessary task that had been requested of them. It was only right to get it done in a timely fashion. As they were both soon to depart this world in search for other treasures that existed in the known universe.... Jordan traversed the forest of illusion quickly and silently, even the natives to it were unaware of his presence...mistaking him for the wind itself. Jordan smirked, the hunt was on and the prey was getting closer with every beat of his heart. With the help of Andrasta and her fiery attitude, no beast was too big or too strong to subside his path. Jordan caught wind of fresh blood at that moment in time and changed course, for it was the smell of a Kanassan. One that was freshly split, and unfortunately for this guy it would mean death. Jordan figured he could not save them all, but one was more than enough to fuel his jets and get him within range of the creature at bay faster then someone snapping their fingers and doing the cupid shuffle. Before Jordan could reach the beast and its feast, he had found himself in a dull void, nothing being emitted...nothing at all, no power level near him. Nothing, no life or anything of the sort. It was rather curious, but soon interuppted. As if something familiar snapped him out of it. It was only the signature of his good friend Kamatayan, for he came back to his senses. As if he were in a day dream and nothing was shaking him loose. It had to of been the beast that was ever close to him. Thank the heavens for Kamatayan getting there when he did, otherwise this battle would be short lived and Jordan would be visiting the next dimension quicker than he had hoped to do so.
Without any regards to Kamatayan, Jordan launched himself towards the direction of his foe. He yelled out in a feral tenacity that only Saiyans could of known and harbored. Jordan reached his maximum power level and then sky rocketed as he ascended past it with his transformation. His auburn hair and crimson aura was flooding the scene with lights that could only be described as "cherry" red. One could see Jordan's shadow covering a vast amount of distance towards the creature that was his prey. Jordan's ascended state made him just around one-hundred and twenty thousand. The beast had a chance, but a slim one. And if Kamatayan was quick enough, it had no chance. Although Kamatayan being a Saiyan, Jordan knew he would let the fight roll one on one before he would jump in. Especially given the fact that Jordan was stronger than this foe before him. It was a pride thing, that only Saiyan warriors understood from one another. They would only gang up on a beast, if it had disrespected one well enough and if it were immensely stronger or wiser... Jordan continued on his route to justice. He reached the beast, its shadowy figure was still hard to make out, but it was huge. Bigger than a Titan could of dreamed of growing to. Its tail had spikes and its legs were horned as well. The outter exterior felt as if it were made of a dense alloy that could not be shattered by anything in the known universe. Jordan did not care, he ran his hand along the hardened skin and felt for any weaknesses. Jordan was quicker and more agile, along with stronger and wiser. Jordan quickly made out this monsters weakness with the help of Andrasta. This beast needs to be taken down by the belly, at its softest point we can pierce it with my help. Now get it to stand upright and we have it at our mercy. Do it now Jordan! Jordan listened to his companion that dwelt within his flesh and soul. He reacted by doing a flip in front of the beasts mouth baiting it to reach out for it. Elongating its full figure to be harder to contort and master its own relexes and balance. Jordan smirked as he felt the mind of the beast, it was choosing to clamp down and devour him. At this point the beast raised up on its hind legs and prepared to claw and bite his way at Jordan. Although Jordan had a different idea. As the beast raised up and began to shut its power jaws, Jorda reached his two fingers to his head and instantly was beside the beast at the softest portion of its belly. "Time to die". Jordan let the powers of incarnum energy and light flood into the back of his palms, Andrasta providing the muse herself for the technique. Jordan then transferred his own chi into the mixture and brought it forth through the back of his knuckles into the middle of his palms. When the time was finally right, Jordan thrust his hips forward and let the beam fly towards the beast. It was powerful enough to pierce through its belly and out of its back side. Sending chunks of flesh out through the wilderness and a loud tenacious growl could be heard for miles away. After a few seconds of moaning the beast fell lifeless down to the ground, where it would decay and become one with Kanassa after years of degrading into the biology that was around it. Jordan grinned, his tactic worked. Better yet, the ryuu beam did the trick. It was his first time ever using the technique he had learned by practicing with Andrasta on trees in the forest of illusion. And it worked brilliantly. It was only when the breath stopped from the beast that he noticed Kamatayan beside him. Jordan nodded to his warrior brother, he gave him thanks for accompanying him in this journey and unraveling another secret piece of the pie that was Kanassa. He knew he did well to help the people himself and his journey was unique in its own way. Jordan bid him farewell and flew back towards the eastern village to give them the news.... Jordan flew back towards the eastern village, he had just defeated the evil beast that was now being decompounded by nature itself to become one with the planet for ages to come. The wind caught through the warriors hair and he continued onwards toward the village that had sent out the S.O.S to begin with. To tell them their problems had been exterminated and they could continue on about their life as they had once used to. In relative peace and harmony. Of course on a telepathic planet with a network that had been interconnecting to every specie on the planet, it would be hard to live in peace and harmony... In any case Jordan continued flying about, making no stops and hit the village within an hour. He had much debate with Andrasta about their next course of action and ultimately decided that they would wait until the grandmaster of the planet would challenge them to their test. The ultimate test in telepathic abilities. It would be the last trial on this planet and then it would be time to head for Vegeta-Sei. Finally Jordan swooped into the council chambers and told them of the story. Of all Kamatayan had discovered and his ultimate victory over their monster that had been on the loose for the past several weeks. The puppet stood their and continued to relay the message from the elders to Jordan, which now was beginning to make him wonder; but it was of no consequence and Jordan let it go. The leaders and village gave them their deepest gratitude and held a banquet in his honor, Jordan ate to the high heavens until he had his fill. He was happy and content, had finally gotten to see some action and test out a new technique on a beast that was one of the strongest creations on the planet. His ascended form and technique proved to be over powering, even to something with over twenty-thousand power on top of his own. Finally the Kanassans had begun to wear down and begin to head into their huts for the night sleep. Jordan was offered one, but he refused telling them that it was a kind offer but he had to get home before his woman had him sleeping in the dog house. The Kanassans wished him peace and prosperity, something that made Jordan grinned. For his path was one of servitude and a life full of danger. Although he had heard rumors that a warrior could still be at peace, even if he had a life time of blood shed on his hands. Something Jordan could relate to, for he had never slaughtered innocents... Jordan took off into the heavens and returned himself to the Adalricus. It was a good end to a hardy few days. It seemed to of gone by so quickly. That no one was really aware of him being gone. For the rest of the crew was preparing to launch off the telepathic fish world. Everyone had their fill of the planet and this was the final measures to getting ready and onward to new adventures. First they would have to venture back to Vegeta-Sei and see where the army and the King had stood with him about being gone and learning more from the other known planets in the universe. Jordan had a lot to look forward to and a lot more mysteries to uncover. For now it was time to lay next to his mate and let his dreams over take his eyes. For sleep was now set into motion, and that was one thing hard to divert. Jordan closed his eyes and was gone before the wind blew the chimes outside in the trees. Mikaela softle cooed and wrapped her tail around his hips and brought him closer to her warm body, Jordan kissed her softly on the cheek and whispered into her ear that he loved her and was back from his adventure. That the next few days they would be off to Vegeta-Sei and to their home for a short while. At least until they had gotten word on what the King would bequest of them.
