Jordan laid in bed, next to his soft and beautiful mate. Mikaela. He was dreaming of ocean water and white sand, him and her just in one another's arms underneath the hot rays of a distant star. Her tail running up and down his thigh as he ran his fingers through her hair.

This was a pleasant dream indeed. It was as if out of no where that the sky began to turn a dark crimson color and the ocean receeded deep within itself. Jordan could feel a tainted shift in the area and Mikaela disappeared from his side. He could not believe what was going on, was this a dream or was it reality?!

The ocean turned into a giant monster of dark black water, with an open mouth aimed towards at devouring the half-breed warrior. "It is time to face your final challenge. If you choose to run from it, you will perish. The Order has never had one make it this far, this test will either kill you or make you an elite member in the telepathic society. Good luck".

Jordan listenened to the booming voice, he was not sure if he was dreaming or in some illusion created by the grandmaster. It was odd yet familiar as if he had heard it from somewhere else in the past. Now was not the time for diving into the past, now was the time to over come this illusion and wake the fuck up.

Jordan began to fly into the sky, and the water beast began to give chase. Its jet black body was chasing him through the land and over the mountains. Jordan let his aura burst around him in an attempt to flee from the beast. But he could not gain ground away from it. He continued on this route for what seemed like forever, until finally the monster had caught up to its target.

Jordan noticed his reflection and his eyes were red in it, right before it hit he could feel a darkness enter his being. The monster engulfed Jordan on all sides and ran him into the ground...

Jordan woke up with hot beads of sweat falling off his brow. He felt weakened and every now and again he could feel a sharp pain strike out in unison all around him. As if he were being stabbed by a thousand blades at one time. He shouted out, waking Mikaela beside him who jumped up and was wondering what was happening.

Jordan clenched down into the fetal position, Mikaela tried to sooth him but only did so partially. Now it was Andrasta who was trying to maintain a connection with her kindred spirit and calm his nerves. She did a good job at it for Jordan finally came out of the fetal position and began to move out towards Adana and her cabin.

Mikaela tried asking what happened, but Jordan was having a hard enough time making it towards where Adana had been sleeping. Andrasta communicated with Mikaela and told her of the dream, none of it made sense to her and she was now fearful of her mates life. Andrasta assured her that she would not let anything happen to Jordan, that he was going to be fine. After help from Mikaela getting down the hall, Jordan finally reached the silver door that would open into the quarters of Adana.

"Adana...please I nee...d...Guidance now"!

The silver door flashed up into a space not seen by the human eye and Adana stood in her nightgown before the group that had now been assembled. Jordan and his commotion had woken others from their sleep and all were intrigued as to what was happening.

"Jordan...I now sense that Andrasta is not the only being that resides within you...Andrasta how do you not feelt that demon in his fleshly being? Is it trying to hide from you? Jordan come in, we shall see what it wants with you and if we can coherce it into fleeing from you..."

Jordan came inside, followed only by Mikaela. The rest were told to go back to bed and worry about their own health before Adana had put a curse unto them as well. Mikaela smiled, she knew it was Adana's way of showing her affection for the ones she cared about.

Adana, I did not feel it enter this body. I can only see a bright light which is clouding my own vision from Jordan, whatever it is it has severely dimished my bond with Jordan. It must be black magic. A damn strong one at that., Andrasta had reached out and touched Adana's mind explaining what she had felt and seen.

Jordan sat at a table, beads of sweat still falling from his brow. He felt fatigued and tired. Something was not right, that much was apparent. Adana sat for a short while before getting up and grabbing a book from a shelf. The cover was leather bound and pages seemed to be a thousand years old.

She then set out some candles and began speaking in the ancient language. Jordan was only told about what happened next...

The candles began to flicker with excitement, and as if being commanded from a being outside of the normal realm of existence they ran hotter and brighter than ever. The three were in a circle and Jordan had stood up at the table. A twisted voice was all that came out, this was not Jordan but something else...something evil.

"This is a test created by my master. If Jordan does not pass it, along with his friend who I am now apart of as well, they will both be drained of their life force and die. This is the ultimate test, never given to a Kanassan or Alien before. The Grandmaster commands me and it. This is for them, and only them. Andrasta, you are a powerful foe...if you help, so be it. As you are fused with Jordan and therefore the being I am no attached with is as much apart of you as you are him. If you refuse the test, then you will simply die Jordan. So choose..."

The candles died back down and Jordan came to, he had no recollection of the statement he had just said or the candles burning any brighter than what they were at the moment. Adana all the while flipped through her book, and finally stopped.

"Ravonish.", Adana said, "That is this demon's name. It is an astral spirit who feeds on Ki and life energy. Jordan you must take a battle to him in the astral realm. And from the looks of it, Kamatayan must do so as well. I am sure when you project your being, you will find his power amidst some where in that realm.

Whether or not this is a test for you to take singularly or with your friend is a mystery. For it is now up to you to complete this challenge, or die. He is a powerful demon spirit, be careful young one".

Jordan stared blankly, and another pain struck him from all sides. "Fuck it, lets do this!", Jordan cried out. Mikaela and Adana moved him to her bed and he lay in it, now was the time to fight in the astral realm and save his own life from harms way.

Before Jordan was off, he received an image of a wirey old Kanassan with white furs covering his body. "Good luck young warrior, Ravonish is a powerful demon I command. Ja'vei and Ja'rel told me you and Kamatayan were ready for this trial. Although no other has yet to of completed it...So good luck once more, and if you survive I look forward to shaking your hand in person".

Jordan then closed his eyes and became translike. He was in his meditative state, projecting his Astral self into the realm which was needed to battle this demonic posession....

Kamatayan
Legend
Earlier that day...

“It is good to see a Saiyan such as yourself willing to help us,” the commander said.

After finding out about the trials and tribulations of this mountain on Kanassa and realising that it had become a prison the Saiyan realised that what this mountain had become was the ultimate environment for survival of the fittest. Here species had grown far more powerful in centuries than most would in millennia. He sought to test himself in these conditions and environments. The spiders in the tunnel here had been fearsome but they were still limited by a fragile form. Not everything would be so.

“We've done a lot here in the years that have gone by, but now the forces that surround us threaten to force us off the mountain,” the commander explained the dire situation here.

“Well I'd be happy to help in anyway I can,” Kamatayan offered his assistance freely in exchange for the chance to enjoy some combat.

As Kamatayan gazed around he noticed that this outpost was particularly weak in terms of being able to defend itself. The buildings and structures were wooden. The trees often provided a connection between the buildings meaning a fire could take down the entire outpost from the inside. As much as he would enjoy the combat he knew these Kanassians really did need help getting more time to protect themselves.

“What can I do to help?” Kamatayan queried.

“There is a threat to this outpost far deadlier than the spiders you cleared in that tunnel. Cyclops, native to this world and one of the first we began to imprison here. Just to the south east they live down a steep slope they are the mauling clan. They aren't the only clan of cyclops to have ended up here but they are the closest. Our main charge has been to keep an eye on these particular cyclops in order to make sure they do not escape. With setting up this new outpost though we haven't been able to keep them in check recently. I would like you to head down there and slay as many as you can. Be warned though, as strong as you are they have remarkable regenerative powers,” the commander would have the Saiyan kill them – but not all of them for fear something stronger would simply step into their place.

“Very well it will be done. I will thin their ranks out without decimating their population. I shall return shortly,” Kamatayan said with a smirk.

Stepping out of the building he took to the skies. However, as he got just a few feet in the air he was overcome with the tremendous strains of gravity. Quite what it was he could not tell but it felt like it was even more intense than the seventy times gravity he had recently been training at. The higher he tried to push the more intense the gravity became. It would appear as though it were some kind of magical property of the mountain itself or put in place by the Kanassians to prevent them from scaling the stone and trying to escape. It would take the Saiyan a few moments to adjust but he soon found a height at which he could fly and still comfortably move.

As he begun to descend into the ravine he spotted the first cyclops. Pale red skin, a large white horn protruding from it skull. Very little in the way of clothing, and rather muscular yet at the same time a bit on the tubby side too. Probably more due to surviving the colder times and the times when food were scarce because whilst life and crops were growing plentiful up at the outpost down here in the ravine it was desolate, barren rock. A few shrub bushes grew but there was little land to till and grow crops from.

Kamatayan silently dropped behind one of the cyclops, it was at least four times his height and probably closer to ten times his weight. Punching the cyclops right in the kidney area the huge creature dropped to one knee with a 'grarr' like grunt. All that happened however was its grip tightened on its mace-like weapon. Bone and metal smashed together to form something rather gruesome in appearance and deadly in practice. As the cyclops rose to its feet Kamatayan unloaded with a barrage of punches. The leathery red flesh of the cyclops absorbing it all quite comfortably.

“Seems you're tougher than I thought...” Kamatayan said pausing for a moment.

“Good...” he then continued with a smirk on his face.

The cyclops turned flailing an arm that struck the Saiyan and sent him staggering back. As its rather vacant black eyes locked on him, its face adorned with tattoos the cyclops managed to utter a few simplistic words that the Saiyan would understand. As it came charging forth with the mace raised above its head Kamatayan quickly realised that the cyclops mace was larger than him.

“Me smash! You die!” the cyclops shouted in a deep, guttural voice as it bounded towards the Saiyan.

It's movements were clumsy though, oafish in nature. Kamatayan knew that taking a hit here would seriously hurt him but so much of the creature was exposed. Kamatayan got down low and sped forth with his speed being something the cyclops would never have seen before. Using his shoulder he went straight for the cyclops left knee. The grunt in pain was far more audible as the beast tumbled and began to fall over. It slipped over the side of the post and onto one of the large spikes. It writhed in agony for a few moments but it was soon painfully clear that this cyclops was vanquished.

“Hmm... I was barely able to hurt that thing then... I better check how strong they are,” Kamatayan said to himself pressing the button on his scouter.

Most of the readings were coming in between forty and fifty thousand. Power levels indicating that they were indeed fearsome opponents. If he were to engage more than two at a time it would probably be his undoing. He did realise now why it was quite so important for the Kanassians to keep their number in check but also they were afraid something stronger, from deeper within the mountain would take its place if they were eliminated entirely.

The average Kanassian would stand no chance against one of these though, probably even twenty or thirty Kanassians wouldn't. Obviously at some point in the history of these people individuals like Ja'vei, Ja'rel and Ru'ketal must have been far more common place. The order of Sal'juk probably took a major role in helping to force and shape this mountain into the prison had now become. As Kamatayan gazed further down into the ravine though he could see the next cyclops coming up. This one was different however...

This cyclops had small sparks of electricity encircling its torso. In its hands it wielded something more fragile, bits of wood bound together to form a staff. The staff wasn't at all suitable for melee use. It had a strange bluish hue to it with a slight crackle of electric too. This cyclops was not a cyclops of physical means. Looking at its build it was still large but far more flabby, built more for insulation and having energy reserves in the leaner times.

Kamatayan was much more cautious about approaching this one. The static charges flickering around it looked dangerous and unpredictable. There was no clear path through them and even though it looked very susceptible to physical attacks this was for a single reason – it never needed to be able to resist them. The cyclops had evolved in manners that suited their strengths as they would overcompensate, in most cases at least, for their weaknesses.

Kamatayan knew it would draw attention but he also knew how to prevent it being a problem. The Saiyan examined the rocky cliffs of the ravine and could see that the wall which didn't have spikes could be made to collapse. The thunderous roar of cascading stone and such would keep his presence masked. Waiting until the cyclops had retreated underneath a rocky overhang to rest in the shade the Saiyan saw his moment. Charging an ion beam cannon he used both hands to maximise the power of this blast.

The greenish energy shot forth from his hands into the stone, burrowing deep within the rock it then exploded. The explosion just caused the sound of crumbling rock to ring out through the ravine. The cyclops shaman was crushed under it and hundreds of cyclops poured out of the dwellings below. Part of their settlement was crushed under the weight of the rocks sliding down with tremendous force. Easily killing dozens of cyclops in the process.

“Ravonish!” The ravine boomed with this call from the Cyclops.

What was a Ravonish exactly? The cyclops were chanting it continuously so it seemed to have some importance to them. They congregated in the ravine getting louder and louder with each passing moment. The very walls of the ravine began to shake, the spikes of stone quivering and collapsing, smoothing the sides out. The ravine was beginning to take on a new shape, not some pit of death but a valley where slopes were forming.

At this point a powerful mind probed into the Saiyans own. It had breached even the powers of his mask of a thousand horrors. It was not an evil presence he could feel though which was a relief. It probed his mind, getting past his defensive barriers with relative ease. It was not painful though nor did it drag up the most painful of memories – this presence was simply exploring. Once it had a good view of who Kamatayan was it was ready to speak.

“You and Jordan are the greatest students of our order and we need you both to be here to stop the forces of evil from reigning supreme on Kanassa. The cyclops beneath you are attempting to summon a Ravonish into our realm. You must disperse them before we are overwhelmed. That mountain would not hold a Ravonish,” the voice said before fading from the Saiyans mind entirely.

Kamatayan quickly devised a plot that would disperse the group below. Rising high in the sky above them the Kanassian sun to his back the Saiyan grinned. He knew just the technique to utilise here. Bringing his hands up to the sides of his face the suns energy passing over him, around him and through him he began to augment this energy with his own ki. Feeling the energies spike to tremendous levels he could feel the heat building in his hands.

Releasing the pent up energies it bathed the ravine below in mind-boggling solar energy. Pure, potent sunbeams penetrating each every one of the Cyclops eyes. The chanting for Ravonish soon ended. With an abrupt scamper most of the Cyclops began to scurry back to their dwellings in fear of the potent sunlight that had just blinded them and caused so much pain.

- - -

Following the incidents atop the mountain Kamatayan had followed the mysterious voice that had invaded his mind to its source. Of course, Jordan was already there. Before long though they were both taken into the astral realm, separate from one another but faced with a very dangerous proposition. The Ravonish were on the cusp of escape, the order of Sal'juk had been keeping them locked away for so long and finally they were beginning to give way to the demons.

The struggle had raged on for what felt like hours as Kamatayan was finding himself outmatched and out powered at every turn. Kamatayan was breathing heavily but he knew that he had what it took to do this. He just had to find a new way to approach it. Using his intense mental mastery the Saiyan was able to rejuvenate himself within this realm. However, this was not enough. He knew that this demon was far more powerful than he was alone.

He suspected that it was also the same for Jordan. Instead of being limited by the usual restrictions upon them both they were in the astral realm. They could do anything their set their minds to. Instead of trying to defeat the Ravonish before him alone he came up with a master plan. To fuse himself with Jordan would give them incomprehensible power as well as shatter everything the Ravonish had been able to ascertain about the two as individuals. Kamatayan fused his astral form with that of his Saiyan comrade, allowing him to assume direct control of their attacks from here on in. The Ravonish had been deceived and misled into thinking they had easy prey. Now they would see true Saiyan might.

Jordan transported himself deep within the plane of the Astral realm. The only being with him was his faithful companion Andrasta who was forever bonded with his own soul. Jordan looked around, the environment was shady and a blood stained red seemed to highlight the rocky plane itself.

Jagged rocks lay all around him with patches of smooth ground to get a foothold from. Jordan began to search out with his mind who else was in this created world, obviously made by the demon itself. Jordan soon found the beast that was known as Ravonish. It was a vial creature indeed.

"Well Andrasta, lets take this fucker out once and for all. Send it back to hell where it belongs, for all eternity to enjoy the pit of acid that awaits to seep through its skin.", Jordan said softly knowing Andrasta was listening to his every word and thought. Also he had thought Ravonish would hear and be subjective to badgering and get him out sooner than later.

Jordan searched with his mind, every knook and cranny that seemed to protrude out like razor icicles, hell bent on drawing blood from someone, or something in this plane of existence. It was then he had felt the demon's chaotic mind and mischevious thoughts. Jordan's instinctual thoughts began to guard themselves, with the technique he had just mastered from Ru'ketal.

Ravonish could not penetrate that barrier for all he tried, so now he took a more direct approach. Jordan tried to do the same to the creature, but it appeared to know the same tactic. Jordan withdrew his presence from the monster at bay. It seemed this battle would be dealt completely upon instinct and wit.

The demon appeared before Jordan and began to fight, throwing punches and kicks in the same manner that Jordan had seen his own self throw at him while he was self-training with his deca form. Jordan blocked and dodged everything he saw, it was oddly familiar...very familiar.

Jordan was evenly matched, the creature had thrown out every counter and attack that Jordan would of thought to do as well. It was as if he were shadow boxing in the mirror. Jordan continued to batter and wail his heart and soul out, but the demon was continuing on in the same fashion. Not seeming to be worn whatsoever.

Jordan continued on until his mind was weary and only his senses alerted him of his friend Kamatayan. It was then that he had heard a mental message telling him they should combine their strength and abilities into one. This being the Astral realm, anything was possible. Jordan nodded his head at his encoming friend and the duo paired together.

With a convulsion, the two became one. Jet black hair, styled short and trimmed. Their body marked with a familiar tattoo of scarring from Kamatayan's mold. Their eyes fierce, one blue and one green. Signifying the act of a single fused person.

Their voice was like a mix tape, as if their vocal chords wrapped around one another and continued on as a single penetrating unit. Jordand raveled in the power and the tenaciousness that was a pure blooded Saiyan. He could now understand the disdain the race had for other races, that it had to be proven the individual was worthy of the power that the Saiyans could easily tap into.

Jordan learned much by this process of his Astral self and Kamatayan's intertwined and weaved into this new super self. The demon had no idea what it was getting itself into. How would it handle the duo? Only the next few minutes would decide. Jordan now stood on the even ground as Ravonish was floating into the sky.

It seemed he was at a shell shock. Not knowing what had just happened. Not knowing what to do. For now this new being had the skills of both warriors, which would they use at the time? How could he mirror them, when they could turn it around and do a complete three sixty on the demonic creature.

Jordan smirked, confident that his fused union with Kamatayan's astral projection was the key that would open the door to victories door step. The demon was the first to attack...Jordan was prepared and launched straight back into the devilish beast.

The astral realm sifted between the pair of combatants, much like rain splitting the layer of oxygen through the sky. The powers collided, Ravonish first to attack, Jordan used a mixture of the technique of both Jordan and KAmatayan combined. The potent combination caused a reaction that was not known or computed by the demon on the attack.

Jordan and Kamatayan quickly began to over take the foul demon and batter him to all hell. It was like watching bruce lee cut through his enemies with the mixture of ancient arts and his own unique style of hand to hand combat. The demon was now out classed and out matched.

The combine power of the two warriors was overwhelming him to the degree that his astral form began to disperse. His arms were the first thing to go, disentegrating into the air as if he were nothing but digital data.

They pressed on and continued, the next thing to go were its legs and finally the body. Leaving only the head, a duel pair of eye blasts were projected out. With which Jordan had deflected back directly into the foul demon. The demon found its demise at its own attack. The head dispersed into a million pieces of matter. Dark acidic blood splattered the remains of the astral realm.

Jordan and Kamatayan defused and were standing alone in a plane that had changed into a mimic of the forest of illusion. Before them sat a scruffy white haired Kanassan.

He sat hovering above a rock with a blue aura that lightly blanketed his own self. He blinked a few times as the duo walked towards him. They had finally passed his trial of vanquishing the demon known as Ravonish.

Who would of thought, two young Saiyan blood could of taken on one of the most powerful demoic forces known to this universe...Great things should be procurred through you two. If you come to the hidden temple; your masters and I will be there to acknowledge and give you both a great gift. Something that we have never relinqueshed to anyone before. Due to your bravery and unique way of thinking and defeating what no one had ever done, you have earned it and its power.

So return to your bodies, you have ridden yourself of Ravonish. No pain and no death shall come of you, you have done the Kanassan people a great deal by destroying what we could not. Quickly now, you are needed elsewhere in the universe. We have not much time.

Jordan and Kamatayan looked at one another, it had seemed the great grand master himself was talking with them in the Astral realm. That now it was time to return to the temple and recieve a gift that, not even they knew what could do for them in the unforseen future.

Jordan nodded to Kamatayan and he quickly returned to his own body. He was surronded by his crew and his mate. They were waiting patiently for the story, Jordan only got up and told them he would let them know of what happened when he returned. For he had to go one last time into the forest and visit his masters of the mind.

The crew stood in silence as Jordan walked back out of the ship and took off into the sky. He sped through the forest and realized that the entire order was assembled, awaiting as if in a traditional ceremonial line. Jordan lightly touched down between two columns of Kanassan warriors. Kamatayan was close behind him.

The duo walked side by side towards the entrance of the temple that trained the members of the new order they belonged to as well. Leaves and flowers swirled all about them, through them and above them. They swirled about in spectacular display of tekinetic designs and circles.

Jordan and Kamatayan walked slowly, knowing this was a special event. Having all the order around them performing, in unison some sort of ceremonial tradition. Apparently this had never happened before, but being telepathic it made it easier for them all to work in unison.

The two warriors walked down the rose petal path into the ancient temple, the petals laid the way like a beacon to the room they were to be given this "great" gift that no warrior had ever ascertained before them. Jordan was excited to see what it was. So excited he was completely oblivious to Kamatayan as he walked beside him down the two columns of members from the Order.

A sentient being walking in a white robe headed through a temple that gleamed of silver and gold through two columns of dragons had rose petals and sun lillies floating around him in magnificent display of swirls and circles. The being's skin radiated off the sun and reflected back upon the many dragons scales next to him as he completed his march into the temple.

He walked down a long hallway, fires lit aside the wall to light his way into a main chamber. The chamber had a woman and another brilliant Golden dragon. Remarkable in size, the fire danced upon its scales as if they were in a winter musical. The sentient being, which resembled that of a scaley walking fish knelt down before the awesome dragon.

The woman took laid her sword upon his shoulders, not in a threatening way...but more of respectful nature. The being continued to bow and let the sword touch harmlessly upon his shoulders. The dragon gave a loud roar, victorious in nature. As if he had just completed a deadly hunt. In simultaneous accord, the resounding dragons outside heeding his call and roared in return.

It was only then that a sash appeared to fly out from a chest in the center of the room. It glistened and gleamed a brilliant green and blue. The sash magically wrapped around the white robe of the being and fastened itself into its very fabric. The roars from the dragon again went off, like a hord of trumpets declaring victory at a football game.

"You have been given a gift from the most ancient and noble of beast. Do not do harm with it but only good. Pass this down to your children. This demon you have defeated will rise again, and when the time comes...you shall have warriors who can stand up against it. They will not be of your race, but of a different sort. Do not be indifferent, for the dragons sought pass your own blindness as well.

They have trained you in everything they know of the mind. They have even rewired your offspring so that it may come naturally to them. This is a gift for your deeds in exceeding all tasks before you. Do not forget this ceremony, for it is to be offered as a tradition for when that time comes. For the dragons will disperse throughout the universe and lay in the shadows. Watching and waiting for the time to strike the evil forces that lay dormant themselves.

So take a mental snap shot of this very moment. Do it and do not forget it. Teach it to your children, but do not perform it until it is merrited. Now rise, and do great things.", the woman said as some sort of white aura emitted around her and surrounded the other. The other arose and let out what seemed to be a war cry...

Jordan rubbed his eyes and realized he was walking down the same steps that were once glorious and covered in gold and silver. He realized that Andrasta had just revealed yet another secret into her mysterious culture and heritage. That it was the dragons who gave the Kanassans oversight. Or at least that is what Jordan had gotten from the day dream he just had.

Little one, I was a mere hatchling when this ceremony had taken place. Our eldest of the race took it upon himself to rewire the works of the Kanassan people so they could be the minds in the universe other than us. We imparted that knowledge so good could be done with it. Some sort of evil thing had happened and the people had no way of defending themselves, so my race gave this one kanassan the ability to help. And help he did. It is the grandmaster to which is about to award the same sash he was those almost three thousand years ago...

Jordan gasped for a moment. It had been almost three thousand years since that day the GrandMaster had received that message and was prophesized of this moment. It was a true honor to be undergoing this right now. Jordan opened his mind and let this memory pass onto Kamatayan to understand the gist of exactly what was going on. It was important that he knew this as well.

A few minutes later the two Saiyan warriors were kneeling before the Grandmaster and being offered the sash in the same fashion. Now, you are masters of Telepathy and Telekinesis. None rival you in this area. Take it and do only good. For it is the reason we had recieved it as a gift from some old friends of ours...Now it is time for you two to be off and do these great things. The universe is in peril and it is time for our heroes to stand up and fight for her. Make the order proud, if ever you need an answer do not hesitate to call. We will help with whatever we can...

Jordan heard more war like cries all around him and he joined in. The place was jarring with the booming voices of Saiyan and Kanassan alike. Jordan did not hesitate he shook Kamatayan's hand and went his separate way. His eyes flashed and gleamed of accomplishment and joy. Now it was time to go and help out the universe...but where?
