Prove Your Worth Difficulty: Easy Description: The only master on Planet Frieza, Frost, is very picky about whom he trains. His mission for you is to travel to the underground encampment of Ignus and murder three aliens who stay in the Lawe Inn. If you do this for him, Frost will deem you evil enough to be trained. Reward: +400 zeni, +2 DP, +10 all stats, +2 Rp Credits Bonus: +20 all stats, -1 Alignment Part I “Searching” Frieza had reached a new height of power. He could now use his first transformation. This new power would allow him to to exert his control over others, but it was not enough to rise to the reigns of galactic conqueror. His power was raw and undisciplined; it would not serve him unless it was fully under his control. As much as he hated to admit it, he would would need a master, someone to teach him how to channel this power. There was only one person in the galaxy that he could hope to train him. It would have to be Master Frost. For one thing he was already here on the planet. He was supervising some top secret strike force that Frieza’s father had assigned to the planet. Though Frieza was technically the ruler of the planet, Frost was the ranking member of the PTO forces for the moment, which effectively put him in charge. He would show respect to Frieza has long as he didn’t step out of line or try to exert authority over him. It was more to it then just the ease of location. Frost was one of the most powerful changeling in the galaxy. If anyone could teach him to not only master the use of Ki but also the use of his transformations, it would be him. With this in mind he arranged a meeting with Frost. Frost of course received him as the ruler of the planet, but Frieza could tell he was holding him up from his task at hand. He walked into Frost command room, where there were several videos of different training groups undergoing the most intense sessions. These men would be the ones to user in the PTO reign over the galaxy, with Frieza as their leader. It would only be a matter of time.... Part II “Assignment” “Ah, lord Frieza, I have been awaiting your arrival since I was first informed you were on the way,” said Frost as he rose from his seat. “Here my grace, make yourself comfortable.” He moved to the side of his seat and indicated with his hands his command chair. Frieza knew that Frost could snuff out his life in an instant, so he was merely playing the role assigned to him by his father. What surprised Frieza was that there was no mockery in Frost’s voice. Here is a man full of duty and respect. He would remember this when it was his turn to reign. “My lord Frost, let us talk in the privacy of your chambers,” said Frieza, also playing his part by recognizing Frost’s status. He had no intentions of asking to be trained by Frost in front of the men that would one day kneel at his feet. The two walked out of the command room down a long corridor. Random soldiers that were also passing through would stop and stand at attention rendering a salute. Frieza was quite sure it was more to Frost than it was to Frieza, but no matter, he would one day rule the galaxy by himself, and they would know his power. It was not too long of a walk before Frost stopped and open a door to his chambers. Frieza had expected his room to be huge and befitting a kind, such as his own was. However, Frost’s room could have passed for that of a monk’s with only a single floor mat, pillow and blankets. “You look surprised Frieza, did you expect more out of my room?” he asked as they walked in. “Actually yes, it's a lot more simplistic than I would have thought.” “Such is the life of a warrior. Now what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?” “I need you to train me. I know that there is far more power that I can wield, I just need to learn to focus it.” “Ah, so it’s training you are after. I was wondering how long it would take for you to come see me.” He seemed to be lost in thought for a few seconds, as if wondering if he should say what he was thinking. He continued, “Frieza if you wish to train under me there is an assignment I have for you. It will not take much time on your part, but it is not something I can accomplish on my own. It is,however, something I expect you to accomplish without the aid of your vast resources. I need you to go to the Ignus encampment and destroy the three leaders there. They are usually found in the Lawe Inn. Do this and I shall train you.” The Ignus encampment housed a resistant force to the PTO. This would significantly help the PTO’s efforts in securing this region of space. Part III “Departure” I was not an unfair assignment, but Frieza hated this idea of doing grunt work. He knew that his power was nothing compared to Frost, so in essence, he was the grunt. So he simply bowed and said, “If that is the price of admission, so be it.” He walked out of the room and half an hour later he was back in his chambers. It was a marvelous room, fit for a king. Frieza knew that he would probably never submit to monastic lifestyle like Frost had, even when he surpassed his soon to be teacher. He valued his treasures to much. It was his art collection that he would hate to give up. It was a sign of real power, the rarest pieces of art in the galaxy under his control. He had a computer terminal in his quarters that he used to gain intel on the Ignus encampment. He did not expect to find much, seeing how this rag tag group was on the run and striking out at the PTO whenever there was an opportunity. He could never infiltrate the group as his face would be known, but he could sneak in there. Fighting his way out was a much better options than fighting his way in and out. So that nobody knew he was gone, he would sneak out in the dead of night. It would cause to much commotion if people knew that he was leaving. So just after 0200 local time, he made his way into the hanger and set accorse for a moon orbiting the six planet in the solar system, where Ignus was waiting for him. Part IV “Hunting” It was not a long journey, Frieza had not even left the solar system. The light of the blue sun that sustained this system casted a erie gleam on on the moon Formic, where the Ignus encampment would be. He planned on sneaking in and be back by noon Frieza local time. His ship landed and it was dusk on the surface of the moon. Since Frieza had just come from a place that was early morning, it felt to him as if he was repeating his day. His on board computer found the base in no time, why hadn’t they cloaked their base from systematic scanning? It dawned on Frieza that it would make sense to have two bases on this moon, one that was cloaked and the other that was not. Yet Frost had said the three leaders, whose names were Julian, Andrew and Hyrum, would be at the Lawe Inn. Why would they not be in the cloaked base? Of course, whoever came here would come to the same conclusion that there must be a hidden base and that would be where the leadership was. These men were hiding out in the open, it was a bold a very calculated move. Frieza respected it. Frieza was not powerful enough to just blow the entire camp to shreds, nor could he proved he killed the men he was looking for. He would have to find the inn, confirm they were there, and destroy them. He took off in the direction of the camp. The inn would be easy enough to find, as well as the men inside if they were there. Frieza, however, doubted he could fight his way in and out. He may be a ruler of a planet and a changeling to boot, but he was no so powerful enough to be uncontested. He knew only that he would find a way. Part V “Assassin” Frieza was laying low just on the outskirts of the encampment. The town seemed to be busy, but there was not a lot of people in the encampment. Then he realized his problem, they had scouters and probably knew he was there. What a careless mistake. Now he had wished he had brought his scouter, but it was no use worrying about the past. He was pretty sure they could have only known about him for the last five minutes and probably did not track his ship landing, for it was designed to not be picked up. Reinforcements might well be on the way, but since they were not here yet and it did not see as if there was many people actually in the village, Frieza would have to charge in there. He began to build his power to the max and his figure grew another feet in size. His horns bent at a ninety degree angle and shot up as he completed his transformation. Not only would it terrify those waiting on the inside, but it would give him the chance to go in there with everything he had. In an instant he was already in the camp heading for the inn. Five guards standing outside noticed him at once. An alarmed sound and they drew blasters on him. Fools, Frieza thought to himself. Blasters would do nothing to him. He could he the commotion in the background as cries for more people rang out and a full fledged battle was beginning. Frieza quickly made short work of the men guarding the inn. He also made sure to blast a hole through the door in the process. More men were inside and a few were beginning to flank his retreat. He jumped high into the air, turned around and unleashed a energy dan attack. This battle would not last long. Part VI “Apprentice” The battle did not take long. Why had we not just simply wipe these fools out if Frieza himself could do it in minutes. The men who gathered in the street were burned and dead. A few energy attacks and punches through a heart here and there took care of the men on the first floor. Frieza was about to smash through the roof of the first floor to begin an attack on the second, when he was kicked back out into the street. As he caught himself and rolled backwards onto his feet, he saw three men were distinguished uniforms. These men would be his targets. They were estimated to have a power level of 1,500 but he was betting that they were closer to 2,000. If they combined their power into a single fighter, then Frieza might have cause for concern, but as it stood, it would be a massacre. One of the men placed his hands behind him and charged a beam attack of blue energy. Frieza waited for him to unleash it and before it made it to him he slapped in away. In an instant he was in front of the attack with and elbow to the man’s face. Before the man could really react Frieza placed his hand behind the man’s head and drew it down into his knee. With his other hand he placed it next to his rib and fire a beam that would go through him and kill him. One down two to go. One of the others charged at him from behind, but Frieza turned quickly and blocked the punch. He followed up with an elbow to the ribs and then with his ki threw the man back while holding onto his arm. He could hear the sicking sound of bones and tissue separating. The man’s scream of pain and agony was music to Frieza’s ears. With the man’s own arm Frieza rushed and beat him to death with it, his weakened state offering no resistance. Frieza turned to the other man who was charging up a ki attack. Frieza threw the bloodied arm at his next victim and as he charged energy into his own hands, he used a speed teleport to appear in front of the man. He released the energy from the attack, taking the man’s head right off. That was all of them. Whatever resistance was left in this town was hiding for their lives. Frieza turned to the Inn, and with his ki, completely destroyed the building. Reinforcements would be on their way, but Frieza would not be there when they arrived. He would not even be in orbit around the moon, and he was sure lord Frost would be please. WC: 2,180 |
