1 he has no idea who he is or where he is going

2.it could have been a pawn on the other line so even if brings the hireling down the mastermind is free to do it again with a classic inexhaustible supply of pawns ti be on the other line should they be on the phone with an awesome friend who pose a possible threat to them.

3. he is giving threats to a man who has his daughter and could easily kill her on the phone and disappear leaving no trace and even more so making the possibility if he is a pawn of a mastermind operating behind the scenes so if hair or other genetic evidence of the acting party has no effect on the one behind it.

Have you seen the movie? He speaks that way because he is confident in his abilities. His whole thing is tracking people. He says he can do it because he can do it.

it was a pawn on the other line. He still worked his way to the friggin top. He wasn't after the entire syndicate. He wanted his daughter and that's it. Iirc he doesn't even get his daughter's friend back. He only wants his daughter.

No kidnapper who actually wants something will kill due to what they probably feel is an empty threat. In this specific case, you don't throw away potential slaves because someone says grrr.

That's a goddamn awesome monologue, possibly one of the best in recent cinema history. There's a reason it's being spoofed by pretty much everyone. Liam Neeson doesn't threaten. Liam Neeson promises.
"I want interaction but this is going to be a real battle, possibly to the death depending on how it goes." -Revan, on Aya.

You are right after further inspection and introspection.

I think I can attribute this list to me subjecting myself to famed criminals rather then action movie criminals and this villain is no Al Capone or any sort of be all strategist who has done this for years and knows what he is doing and who or what to look out for at all times before acting out the plan. he is just an action villain tenancy to some how get away with any crime they commit in broad daylight and the protagonist goes on a one person crusade to do what they set out to do and prove a threat and not a cushion for the well funded heavily manned organization's goon squad's bullets.

All and all it was my bad still chop it up to my looking deeper then an action movie typically goes. If the criminal group was cold calculating and good at covering there tracks as the big named criminals of history there would be no movie thus I need to suspend my disbelief and think of many action movie antagonists as the B teams.

I seen a bit of the movie it looks awesome but I cant find it anymore outside of bits and pieces (legitimately I mean).

In the end the thug on the other end could have simply hung it up without saying anything.

All in all good movie from what I seen and I am being unfair at the antagonist because I am thinking on the lines of infamous criminals, those who get away with there crimes for 9 years in modern time and not action movie criminals. But going against that way of thinking turning my brain to action enjoyment this movie does seem epic with awesome moments of action and emotion.

Once more I over think in action scenarios. Criminal expertly covering his tracks= no movie or a line of movies tracking and doing all that can be done to track down the desired result.

Sure out of what I seen I say sequel would be justified and would set the antagonist to be brilliant evading the protagonist for a movie. But this isn't Red Eye so there would be no reason for the main criminal to take such a threat told to him by a messenger seriously... until his men start dropping like flies.
