The night passed slowly on Planet Vegeta. Red sands whipped up and around the human known as Tien, creating miniature tornadoes of red dirt. A nice breeze passed along the man's shaven head. It felt relaxing and cool, just like the night sky above him. Open sky with no moon was always a relaxing sight for the human. It let his mind wander, out into the seemingly empty universe. Of course, the human knew that it was not empty, and there were many fighters more powerful than himself. The way he knew this? Simple. Tien had a special gem known to many as a portal between realms, and this one led to the Astral Realm. It was a wondrous land of empty space, waiting to be developed by a being's mind. The beings who mostly filled up this realm were fighters from all over the universe. They came here to meet another warrior from anywhere else and fight until one can go no longer, or one does not wish to fight. Grabbing his own gem, it began to glow red as the human let his consciousness flow into it. The red light enveloped Tien as he was transported to the Astral Realm, preparing to fight whoever may be waiting for him. Upon reaching the realm of fighting, he found nobody in wait. Frowning, the human developed terrain into a field on a floating island. There were numerous other islands of the same type, floating above nothingness. Fortunately, each island was very thick, a good 2 meters of packed dirt being pushed upwards by the forces of this realm. Sitting in a cross-legged position, Tien carefully surveyed the 3 other islands around the one he was one. He let his aura flow around him as he did this, powering up to his maximum in preparation for his next fight. Something told him it would be big, and Tien would need to work hard. WC: 320 |

Quon shook his head as he pushed his way from the wreckage of the factory he had just destroyed. He had been given a separate mission after to destroy it. Suimana wanted the memory chip from the computer, Luna. He dragged himself back to the speed and slumped into the seat that allowed him to piratically lay down. He was forced to press the auto pilot button as he then placed in the location. The gem in his hand flared to life for a moment as he decided that he may as well go to the realm it would take him. Obsidian light overcame him before it dropped him off on a sandy beach. The Paladin had his power suppressed from the moment he arrived to around fifteen thousand. He cracked his neck as he looked around and checked his cloak- on the inside, the saber-like rapier rested, hidden, to the right side of his hip. On the left, the sword he'd gotten from Earth. He nodded to himself as he turned to look at the only power in the area- thus easy to find. It looked very much like a human, except for that third eye. He rose an eyebrow a movement before he said, "Quon." That was all he said before he jumped at Tien- or rather, he knew this being as just 'human' as he drew from his left hip with his right arm. The sword slashed from the scabbard and was slashed at this human's chest with the fierceness of a lion that attacked its meal. The second attack was no less brutal in its attempt as he lashed out with a leg (he had landed after the sword attack). The final attack was a swift three punches aimed at his opponent's stomach, kidneys, and solar plexus. All these attacks were aimed to test his opponent's reaction to a quarter of his speed.

His new opponent appeared in front of the human, a fellow human perhaps? No. The man appeared more bestial than man, it could only be an alien. Tien only felt a power of just under above half his own from the man, however he knew something was wrong about that. There was another level of depth to the man that Tien could not sense. He knew it was there from two things. The first being the air of confidence surrounding him, as if he knew he could not lose. "Quon," the man said. That was the second thing. The way he said his name sent shivers down Tien's spine. It was unnatural, causing the human to physically shake. But he did not back down yet. Tien wasn't going to expect to win, yet Quon could possibly be planning on staying hidden in his power, only using a fraction of his strength. Focusing, Tien felt his muscles tense and relax as he prepared for Quon's first attack. He didn't have to wait for long; the alien wasted no time in slashing at the human. The sword flew towards the human's chest, yet somehow the human stepped back in time to evade. "Tien. OOF," the human said, feeling a kick land on his upper body. This Quon was certainly flexible and fast to go from a sword slash to an upwards kick. Three fast punches also made their way into Tien's gut, diaphragm, and kidney. Letting out another groan, the human shook himself before regaining composure. Backing away from the opponent, Tien decided distance would be a good thing here. He summoned ki to his hands, and let lose a fast array of ki blasts. They were concentrated on Quon and his surrounding area, aiming to cover the man in a swath of ki. As the human released the last of his blasts, he slid forward in preparation of a physical attack. Drawing his fist all the way back, Tien reached his foe at about the same time the last of his ki blasts would. Fist extending moments later, a strong right punch was aimed at the humanoid in a side stance, minimizing his own body surface area to stop a potential counter. Grinning, Tien thought his attack pattern was fairly clever. However, he couldn't have been sure if it would work or not. All he could do was hope. WC: 404 TWC: 724 |

The three eyed human seemed scared of Quon, yet he was not all that harmful- at least to those that are good in nature. However, he didn't feel that from Tien. The sword would slay those that decided that evil was their way. He released a low sigh after his attacks missed and landed. His opponent obviously decided that it would be best to go to a ranged scenario. He was calm as the attacks flew at him and he pushed off from the sand, straight up like a bullet that misfired from the gun. His impression of Tien was a neutral soul. Yet he seemed destined for evil. Rage gripped parts of Quon's muscles as he free fell quickly towards Tien as the last few ki attacks went for his location. He saw Tien move and his form started to appear and disappear as he came from above with a heel kick in a counter to Tien's strike, as he aimed to break Tien's attack shoulder, the one that he seemed to favor. The Paladin wasn't finished either. He quickly landed and then thrust a hand up to Tien's chest as he roared mightily, and unleashed a ki blast right their at point blank range. He then moved forward and flashed out a punch, infused with Ki as he sent the attack at Tien's solar plexus again; it would show Tien the difference between going with an attack that was powerful, and a little attack without ki infusion. He finished the combo as he brought his knee up as he grabbed for Tien's head- his intent was to place his knee squarely into Tien's forehead, where that strange third eye lay. He jumped back after that and narrowed his eyes at Tien as he observed his opponent's movements after; Although he was fairly confident in his powers, his strength had been reduced to half that of his opponent's. He supposed he would let Tien feel more of his power. He released the power to double Tien's, his hands at his sides as he slipped the blade back into its hip scabbard. His arms then went up into a ready position, no smile on his face.

Confidence quickly left Tien as his foe jumped over his energy dan, escaping the entire attack. It had seemed to be wasted ki, and the human wondered if he could defeat this man? Tien could visibly see his opponent's muscles tighten as well when he moved to counter Tien's second attack; a leg was spinning towards his shoulder. If the attack hit, it would certainly break Tien's shoulder, and incapacitate him for the remainder of the fight. But he wouldn't quite let that happen. Quon's leg struck down at the human, heel aimed at shoulder. The distance between the two became ever smaller with each passing moment, heel moving fast than Tien could get away. Fortunately, the human managed to divert the attack to his arm as opposed to the shoulder, and at such an angle that he wasn't hurt as much. There was still a good chance that Tien's arm bone was bruised, but that didn't mean he couldn't still fight with it. The man named Quon landed as Tien pulled himself up from the ground, and the human found a ki-infused punch landing in his solarplexus. His eyes, all three of them, went wide as the punch impacted. Surrounding ribs were definitely broken, to say the least. Tien's body was flung back a good 10 meters, and he almost fell off the floating island that he resided on. Suddenly, Quon disappeared in a flash of speed, and a hand was wrapping itself around the human's head. But instead of touching Tien, a head grab and knee attack met blue haze and shadow, the zanzoken technique that Tien was taught when he studied on planet Vegeta. "You are merciless. If that is the case, I will unleash my full power in this attack as well. HYAAAAAAAAAH!" Tien roared, power flickering in two of his fingers as the human hovered above the ground. Focus was not something the human lacked, and now he was exerting it to his maximum. It was taking his full mental capacity to not pass out from overexertion. An invisible spark of ki flew from Tien's fingers to the island below him. A sudden explosion, and the whole island was gone. Ki erupted from the land, swallowing everything in a large spherical radius whole, and burning it to ashes. He could only hope that he encompassed Quon as well. Tien landed on one of the nearby islands, panting and entirely out of energy. He had plenty of ki left, he just lacked the power to use any of it anymore. "But I guess you still win, Quon," Tien said, lying on the ground of his island, exhausted. He just hoped his enemy would keep from attacking again. WC: 456 TWC: 1180 1. Partial dodge action 2 2. Quon thought back to how he had killed Shaoran. The half blood traitor to the Paladin order. It had been easy, once he dropped his power. And yet, this one seemed more spirited. He wasn't 'evil' per say, but he did not act like someone who was 'good'. At least by Gnar's standards. The Paladin pulled the sword in his hand back as he looked at the human. He seemed to be ready to do something... the heel kick was averted, but the blow had done enough damage. He landed on the sand and watched as his opponent moved off the island. He jumped off the island its self and used his pure speed to move to a different one as the attack was forced onto the other island of sand that he had been on. The Paladin looked up at Tien as he floated in the air and muttered something about winning. He jumped over to the island that Tien was on and pulled up his sword. He looked down at Tien with a cold look before he placed the blade near the human, green ki flowed from himself and into the human. After a moment, he pulled the blade back and turned from Tien as he replied, "Mercy does not belong on the battlefield. Principles must be stuck to. Cast aside personal pride to make your ideals come forth. I do not know your circumstances, Tien, but I do know this; you fought well." Well, that was rather subjective at this point, but he wasn't about to say anything about that. The blade was placed back into it's sheath under his cloak as the Paladin continued. "Know this: beyond knowing ones self and one's enemy, one must know their ideals. A man, or woman, who fights without an ideal fights for nothing. They have no goal and nothing to put their energy towards, as a spear," He decided that his Master's lectures may be wasted on his soul; it was time for him to return to the order with his report. His image faded from the sandy lands to return to his weak body.
