I am going to have the game format be an emphasis of 60% roleplaying and 40% narrative. Players who join the campaign will have to first pick a side, then take up the role of an NPC. There will be limited roles such as a commander while other roles such as "Ground Infantry" will be open to all. The game will flow exactly like Axis and Allies, except that NPCs can affect the outcome of things and gain military ranks. There will be custom powers for Greyfa and Mainland respectively and technologies can be researched. There will also be strategic targets. Mountain passes for example will make tank battles difficult to do. Each soldier will have responsibilites in the war to micromanage various things and tasks. Squad leaders/soldiers have the ability to request for reinforcements/money/naval bombardments/bombings ect--while the commander or someone in charge can do actions in their round of posting to approve of it and roleplay dispatching his forces for attack. Battles will be done via dice rolling, so situtions of life and death will be sometimes out of an NPC's control and responsibility will lie with the whole army to strategize. Soldiers can also refuse orders and mutiny but will be subject to consequences. |

There will be a scoring system similar to COD/Bf3 based on what you do, which serves to advance your rank as a soldier. Everyone will start out as a private of course. But you get to pick your position depending what kind of experience and rp you want. For example: There may be only 1 Tank Battalion leader since only one is available for this campaign. In the future there may be more. As you progress in rank, you ultimately get better army positions too and more responsibility. Greyfa will have 1 Battalion of 10 Tank divisions, (represented on the game board as 10 tank pieces). There will always be a minimum of 1 tank division (1 game piece) being dispatched to single territory if tanks are to be moved, for example. 1 tank division represents 5 tank squads of 25 tanks altogether. However, military positions can override actions. There is an exception to the 1 division minimum rule---NPCs. They have the option of breaking orders if they are a squad leader or single tank for example. More info is to be posted. |

The idea about the units is subject to change because i don't have an exact number of military units that will be involved by each opposing side at the moment. -Tank (has a gunner and a driver) - Tank Squad Leader gives orders to tanks in his squad - Tank Division Commander gives orders to the squad leaders in his division - Tank Battalion Commander gives orders to the Division Leaders in his Battalion - Tank General gives commands to the battalion leaders - Command Of The Army Division gives orders to all his forces and is what you call the human players who would play in games like Risk/Starcraft/Axis and allies. People of higher authority can always override the commands of their subjects. People who want to participate have the option of disobeying commands, but they risk consequences. For example if they are ordered to attack a territory and you are playing as a Tank gunner and decide to flee your tank and act as a rouge infanty with or without your tank driver, you can do that. If you are a lone tank and decide to flee your squadren and attack a territory alone, you can do that. But keep in mind that you won't always know where the opposing forces are and could find yourself having to take on an enemy squad of tanks! Or a battalion! Or the subject of an airstrike. You play your NPC as your role depending what kinda role you want. If your a tank squad leader, and go rougue for example, you risk your own forces mutinying your orders in favor of a higher authority in the army. Get my drift The point of this saga is not to win, lose, die or stay alive per se but to have fun and try to complete your objectives

Sure Dev. One way or the other, there will be a War arc whether it involves Greyfa or not. |
