I remember the first time I joined this site (back in December of 07) the site had apparently been going through some rough stuff, community wise. People were fighting a lot, a lot of enemies, hating, blah, blah, blah. That's when a dedicated member decided to make a thread in which he gave a little bio of himself, asked other members that felt like it to do so as well and hoped that with that the community would be more united. To date, the community and the game itself have changed a lot, the community is much better than it used to. Hell, I came back after a couple of months and was welcomed with open arms by old friends and new friends. With that thought in mind, I believe there is always room for improvement, so I was thinking that maybe we could try that again, make the community even better and even more united. Anyways I'll begin... My name is Erik Daniel Perez Almonte, or you know, just Erik Perez. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and I'm 17 years old currently entering my senior year of high school. For those who don't know where that is, it is the same island Haiti occupies. We're, however, two separate countries, our roots are Spanish since Spain colonized our side of the island and their roots are French since France colonized their side of the country. Strangely enough, when the terrible earthquake hit Haiti, we weren't as affected as them. All we felt were some minor aftershocks in the city and a little heavy shakes closer to the border. Enough Geography! As I said my name is Erik and I'm Dominican, but I did my elementary/part-of-middle school years in U.S.A. My father is a very accomplished businessman and due to his work we have had the need to move a lot over the years. We lived in Miami, New York and Arkansas (very briefly), until about 7-6 years ago we stationed ourselves back in Santo Domingo, where I'm living now. Due to this unique situation, I'm fluid in both English and Spanish, when I speak Spanish I have no accent and vice versa with English and why I can (I like believe) write some good stuff. As I began my pubescent years (12 years old) I cared little for my grammar, since I had moved to Dominican Republic and had many friends that struggled with English (English is taught everywhere, plus I was in a school that's main language was English) I showed much disregard when it came to grammar, I believed proper pronunciation was enough. My teachers would praised the way I wrote, they saw the intentions of the things I wrote, but said my intentions were ruined by my lack of grammar. I didn't pay much mind to it, and I still enjoyed writing stuff up, let it be thoughts about certain topics or maybe just some story that came to mind. My lack of regard for grammar heightened itself when I dove in deep into what was the internet lexicon, I started using 'u' instead of 'you', etc. I had been surfing the internet since I was 6, usually for games and such, but at that point is when I really got into communities and what not. This disregard continued till I joined this site. At first when I stumbled upon the site I thought it was an actual game, like an actual downloadable game that had MMORPG elements. I surfed through the site and was baffled by what I found, and became even more baffled by what I found in the forums. Nevertheless, confident on my praised writing skills I tried to join in. Again completely disregarding grammar I applied to join, hoping it would be received with praise. Obviously it wasn't well received. I check it out now and I can't believe I ever wrote so sloppy and with that much error. Anyways over the years I've come and gone from the site as different personas (Boku, Zorn, Goku Jr, Dante Amano and most recently Janix Mido). Each time I joined back I made a batch of friends and further improve my writing, forming what I'm today which I'd like to believe is a fairly decent writer. I apologize, for I was rambling on about my writing history, but I just wanted to share how I got into writing. You know a bit about internet Erik, lets meet outer Erik. When I lived in U.S.A. I played a lot of Soccer, all the years I spent over there I played Soccer anywhere I went. It was fun, it made me happy. When I came back to Dominican Republic, the school I joined didn't have a Soccer team or anything, which made me get into Basketball for a few years. I never took the game too seriously, I used it more to hang out with my friends and have a good 'ol sweat. When I entered 8th grade I just got fed up with Basketball and flat out quit it, gaining interest in other things. Right around when I entered 8th grade I didn't just quit basketball, I got to going to clubs and drinking. Yes I know it seems crazy an 8th grader clubbing and drinking, what the fuck? But yes its true. In my country the law is highly disregarded and the police is very prone to bribery. So yeah, I got to have my fun at a very young age, which in turn have turned me into a hard-to-get-drunk person at 17 years of age, drinking whiskey on the rocks whenever I go out clubbing. I'm proud to say I've never done any drugs nor have I smoked cigarettes, not by lack of opportunity I might add. I've been offered Weed, Ecstasy, and every time I go out most of my friends offer me a smoke. This party life I've been living for the last few years has been great fun, I've had my way with plenty of girls my age and partied hard with my buddies. What else can I say... I have 5 siblings, Federico and Augusto (twins, 21 years old), Maria (11), Gianmarco (6 years old) and Erika (3 years old), A.K.A. my princess. The only people with which I'm fully related to are Federico and Augusto, the others are half siblings. I'm proud to say I live with my father and very proud to say I despise my mother. Don't want to get much into it, but she nearly broke down our family and created division. I'm glad to say I live with my father and she lives in U.S.A. with her husband, good guy, I feel sorry for him. I enjoy all music, except for screamo. My favorite bands/artists at the moment are Yellowcard, Sum 41, Blink 182, Shwayze, One Republic, Drake, Nickleback, Coheed and Cambria, Death Cab for Cutie, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Say Anything, Chester See (exclusive Youtube Musician), Something Corporate, if I go on I'll never finish lol. At the moment my relationship status is at its complicated lol. Some women are crazy. Not in the good way btw. My dream is to become a writer, I want to major in Creative Writing in a good Liberal Arts College in U.S.A. I have no idea to which however. Eh what else... My biggest fear in life is a double edged sword, I never want to be alone, but at the same time I don't want to be surrounded by fakeness, thus I only trust a very select group of people. So yeah you just got to know who I really am lol. I could probably ramble on even further but the point is share, not scare. I hope to stay for very long in the site this time around, be as helpful as I can and just rp with everyone I can. Feel free to share whatever you want in whichever volume you want. |

RP with me, dammit!
|
I think this is no place to form enemies (out of character, of course). I mean, if you are desperately trying to battle someone to prove your superiority, the quality and enjoyment of the RP drops a lot (in my opinion, of course). Yeah, lots of us are evil characters, but let's keep the evilness in-character ![]() About myself: Being in this RPG, among other things, is part of my secret nerd life. Not even my famiy would understand how I can do such an unlikely thing as writing anime fictional stories based on a show I watched when I was little, instead of playing CoD or football. So, my identity is a secret, just for the sake of being paranoid. I'm studying to be an engineer, and since I moved to college I think I'm developing a strong case of No-Social-Skills. I live in Chile (South America) and can speak spanish and english because of videogames. I've been playing drums for 6 years, but I kinda stopped improving 4 years ago, and stopped being motivated (and almost stopped playing) 2 years ago. I've been in a relationship for almost 2 years, and it's honestly one of the best parts of my life. I have 4 siblings... And I don't know what else to say. Happiness and rainbows to everyone. |

Ha, my nerd is more outer than inner. Still, I'm gonna opt for anonymity as well. The reason being that I'm studying to become a high school teacher, and we all know every kid these days is an internet detective. Not that I'm ashamed of my nerd hobbies (everyone knows I was into competitive Pokemon for example), but still. You don't want to be that teacher among pupils. So, I'm 21, and I live in Belgium. As I said I'm studying to become a high school teacher, specifically for English and history. And yes, that is exactly why I grammar nazi the living hell out of the roleplay school forum No better way to get practice in!My hobbies are quite nerdy: watching television shows and movies, occasionally anime, writing and reading, playing videogames. @ Tambourine: I know exactly what you mean when it comes to ASS (antisocial syndrome :P). When I first attempted higher education at another university (for linguistics and literature) I was that weird guy who never socialized and sat alone in classes. When that failed I changed universities and made a promise to myself I'd get past that. Just be around people for the first few weeks and test the waters. When they get comfortable being around you and you around them, you can start being yourself without being judged I made friends here now and it even helps my education, since they motivate you and you can exchange notes etcetera. Not sure if you needed that advice, but I'm throwing it out there anyway! I figure many of us must be introverts. |

What the hell, I'll join in ![]() Hey, I'm Jamie. I live in England, I won't go into details about where, as most of you probably wouldn't know anyway, lol. I'm 19, going on 20 (In October) I joined the site back in 2008, I believe, joining as Garlic Jr. I was pretty immature at that point (despite being around about 15 or 16) and got into a couple of arguments, the most notable being with the Gokua of the time. I also tried to change the appearance of Garlic Jr multiple times, which led to much trolling, and I eventually gave up my attempts to make GJ my own. I re-joined again in '10, I recall, but not for long, and obviously re-joined about this time last year, and hope to continue. I first got into DBZ when I was 10, by a friend of my brothers, and eventually found this site, and much like Janix, I thought that it was a downloadable game ![]() Ever since I was young, I was pretty athletic, so this prompted me to always participate in the 100m when it came to sports days. I also joined an Athletics club, but I gave up when I started doing martial arts, which I actually regret now, as I think I should have continued sprinting, rather than some dumb self-defense class, which eventually screwed me over. After High school, I went to College (Which is the British equivalent to Senior School in the US, I think) and studied Sport, as I wanted to be a Personal Trainer at the time. Though, for unfortunate reasons, regarding money, I couldn't pursue it, as I needed to pay for the course, and neither me, nor my family had the money to pay for the course. This led to me dropping out of college in at the end of the first year, and starting work in retail, which was actually quite difficult, given that there are barely any jobs about. I did eventually get one, thanks to a friend, at the beginning of December last year, and ever since, I've been saving for an apartment, which has been difficult, because finding a roommate is tough. Back to sport, I'm a huge Formula 1 fan, and have been since I can remember ![]() I also used to train in MMA, mainly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but I also did some Muay Thai as well. I competed in a couple of BJJ tournaments as well. Currently, I want to become a Game Developer. Not the actual computer side (Design), more the imaginative part behind that. My life on here is pretty much my nerdy side, which I relish, and probably enjoy more than a lot of things, considering that I don't drink, smoke or anything like that. I have the occasional night outs with friends, but not the typical club/party type. I have a girlfriend, whom I've been with for 2 years now, and though she doesn't know, I will be proposing come the end of the year ![]() I think that's all, apart from that I'm a big fitness fan, and try to exercise and keep healthy. I can't think of anything else now... |

THANK YOU FOR CONTRIBUTING. My name is Beau, I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I'm 29 (soon to be 30) and grew up in Wyoming. The town I lived in was a shithole full of bigots and racists, but I escaped to the beautiful North Land when I was 18. Ya'll know about my character and that I like writing, so I won't bother with any of that. Some peeps here think I drink far more than I actually do. It doesn't bother me to be known as the site drunk or an alcoholic, it's a funny running gag and I wouldn't have the reputation if I didn't drink a lot. The truth is that I do drink often, but I rarely get drunk. I very much enjoy having a cold beer (or two) after work to wind down the day. I'm having one right now. I suppose I should also mention that I can rage it up with just about anyone... my tolerance is quit high and my reputation for drinking large quantities isn't unfounded. I just wanted to set the record straight for those who might actually believe when some joke that I have drinking problem. Went to college for business, hated it, and drank myself out of school. Went back for IT (network administration) and worked myself out of school, because I'm not one of those lucky people who can somehow work and attend school full time. I'll finish someday, I reckon. I worked in retail sales for several years (electronics and cell phones). Learned some very important verbal communication and interpersonal skills to go along with the excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills I've always had. I loved it for a long time, but slowly grew to hate having to deal with problematic customers. I eventually ditched out of retail sales completely because I could no longer make myself say the things I needed to say to make the customer happy instead of the things I wanted to say. Now, I work in a saw mill with some of the craziest motherfuckers on the planet. It's loud, it's dangerous, it's the most physically demanding job I've ever had... I LOVE IT. I get to use a chainsaw every day. My primary responsibilities at the moment include tallying the packs of lumber we cut, keeping track of all the daily footage totals, but mostly... moving the packs with Komatsu WA180 front-loader like this one. I love driving that thing, it's like diesel powered heaven. I'll be learning to run the re-saw machine next, which will make me one of only three people in the building able to operate it. Do I want to work in a lumber mill for the rest of my life? I dunno *shrugs* ...it pays the bills and I love it... who knows? Like Tambo, I am also a drummer (you can find a pic of my drums in the picture thread). I practice every opportunity I can, which hasn't been much lately because I would probably be evicted for excessive noise (but I've recently invested in a full set of practice pads/mutes I'M EXCITED FOR THEIR ARRIVAL). I've been playing for about four and a half years. I'm passionate about writing and learning music. One of these days I'll record some drum covers for you guys. There's also the possibility that I'll be starting a band with my downstairs neighbor who is a wonderfully talented guitarist. I. Love. Fishing. It's my favorite activity next to drumming. Sitting on the bank/in a boat with the sun on my face and a beer in my hand is equally enjoyable to sitting in an ice-shack with a heater ripping and a beer in my hand. I haven't been going as often as I would like, but I just had the chance to fish a nice little trout stream a few days ago.. we killed the brook trout. <3 I also enjoy hunting. We had a conversation the other day in cbox about meat and I stand by my words- food tastes better when you kill it yourself. Hmm, what else... something ya'll might not know about me... hmmm... well, I have an irrational fear of the ocean (seen Jaws too many times as a kid). Fuck the ocean. I also have an irrational fear of flying which I've learned to control with large amounts of alcohol. Protip- There is a very delicate line which must not be crossed. If you drink too much, they won't let you on the plane. If you don't drink enough, you might sober up before landing. There's more, but that's all I have for now... if I think of anything else I want to share I'll post it up later. |

Hey. My name's Ben. I've played on this RPG since late 2010 and I love it. I have enjoyed writing since I was nine, when my family got its first word processor, but I had been doing various forms of story telling for as long as I remember. Usually for fun and not very well thought out. I came to this site towards the end of my college career and have found the community here to be immensely talented and dedicated people, whose strengths have strengthened me. For that reason, I hope to stick around for a while. In real life I'm a mid-to-late-twenties, still not graduated college student who recently married a wonderful woman who happened to be seven years younger than him. Her family was condoning, I didn't rob anyone of anything.... On a mostly unrelated note, I'm also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon), which I am proud of. Unfortunately, I moved to Utah, USA for cheap school, and I'm not so proud to be related to the great Red State. Believe it or not, my religion and location/political environment are not strictly connected in my experience, since I was born in Texas and raised in North Carolina. I've only lived in Utah for four years, well after I finished high school. I have a passion for China. I lived four months teaching English in a city which is closer to Shanghai than farther, and loved every minute of it after the first three weeks of incomprehensible culture shock. From that experience I learned that I wanted to teach and that I should probably learn Chinese. Sadly, while I feel educated enough to recognize a dozen languages, I can only say a few words in any but English. I did knock on doors as a Mormon Missionary in Sydney, Australia for my full two years. Well, what else? I selectively watch anime. I read almost anything someone puts in front of me, but I rarely pick up books on my own. And I desperately need to finish a movie script for my final Capstone Project at my university. Instead, I'm writing to you guys! |
