Champion I, Human spar bonus

Hmm... What to do, the triclops thought, pensive in his boredom. Spaceship flights were always boring. He had done extensive training, but he still didn't know what else to do. There was only so much one could do with themselves for training. A sudden idea entered the man's head; he would travel to the astral realm and face an opponent there. Who would he fight? The human had an idea...

Grabbing hold of his sparkling red gem with a large bear-paw sized hand, Tien releasing his soul's energy into the gem. It would do the hard part for Tien; the gem sent Tien's mind and soul to the Astral Realm, a place where the fight never stopped. It was the one place that the human could reliably come to for a good and honorable spar. It was also the place where Tien had met his friend Ayakon, and where they often sparred. It was his intention to have another spar with Ayakon tonight.

Sending out a pulse of mental energy, the triclops called out for his changeling friend. AYAKON! Come, I need to spar, and we have not sparred for a while. I wish to see what training you have accomplished, my friend. Perhaps you can give me some tips as well. I will be waiting, come when you are ready...

Looking around him, Tien saw the white and undeveloped terrain around him. Deciding to fix that, the triclops summoned an arena in place of the white land. To top it off, he placed a crowd of fake supporters in the stands. They sat on white stone benches, waiting for the human's foe to appear. It wouldn't be long, the human was sure. He released the tension in his entire body, and let an aura of ki surround him. Tien would need all the power he could muster to defeat his friend in this spar. Only the lords knew how powerful Ayakon had become in the weeks without contact from Tien...

Champion Lv I

The sands of Yaidrat stirred, moments before a Changeling burst through the ground, emerging from an underground Temple of unknown origin. He shot into the air and raced for his ship. The red tunic that he had once adorned was now seared onto his flesh, a second skin that was now irremovable. As soon as he arrived back at his ship, he headed towards his quarters and found the red gem embedded in his normal armor glowing. "Apparently I have a call." He touched the gem and transferred himself into the astral realm.

It was seamless. He landed to the thunderous applause of the supporters and looked around, "Ah ha..." He grinned, "Master Roshi told me of these... tournaments, aren't they? There's quite a big difference from tournaments on Frieza, in that no one is shouting for either of us to die." He looked at Tien and pressed his Scouter, "My goodness, my friend, you have grown powerful, haven't you?" He took a battle stance and said, "Let's see exactly how powerful."

Giving Tien a moment to prepare then charged at the human, firing off a quick jab then a back-knuckle both with his right hand, aimed at the human's chest then chin respectively. He shot out an open palm with his left, aimed at Tien's chest again. Bringing both of his hands back in an instant, he spun in a full circle at close range and shot a side-kick at the human's stomach. Though he had yet to transform, or even power up to his full, it seemed Aya wouldn't be going easy on Tien this go 'round. He took a step or so back and waited for the human's response. The look on his face likely told the human that he'd have to bring his all as well.

His friend and opponent met him in the arena. After a little bit of talking, Ayakon clicked his scouter to find Tien's new power. Of course, as he was doing this, Tien was standing in awe at his friend. As Ayakon said, "My goodness, my friend, you have grown powerful, haven't you?", Tien could sense that Ayakon's base power was about 1.5 times as strong as Tien's own. "Me? I've gotten strong? Have you seen yourself?" Tien said, preparing himself for the attacks he could tell would come soon.

The crowd started to cheer, and that seemed to be the queue. Ayakon rushed forward, closing in on Tien. There would first be punches, the human could tell that much. His eyes were good enough that he could see the punch to his chest coming, but his body was not quite fast enough. A dull thud sounded as Tien's armor was hit, vibrating through the metal coating and still hurting Tien. The scary part was that this was only one of a two-part combo, and the second part hurt much more.

A backhand slapped Tien across the face, yet he could reduce the pain slightly by rolling with the attack. As he felt the backhanded attack bruise his face, Tien looked at Aya once more to find a third attack. This one appeared to have much more force behind it, but fortunately for the triclops, it was slightly slower. Yet not slow enough, as he felt a palm strike smash into his chest again. It was the same spot the initial punch had landed, leaving Tien coughing in surprise.

Roaring, the crowd cheered even louder. They obviously liked the sight of Tien on the offensive, but the human wouldn't have any of that. Letting out a shout, the human set himself in the perfect place to hold against the incoming kick. It was only for a moment, but Tien's body seemed to turn to steel, and was unharmed by the kick as he stopped it with his bare hands. Eyes smiling, Tien left his mouth open, and even split it wider. Ki welled up in the back of Tien's throat as he breathed ki energy, firing a blast of power at his foe.

Backing up, the human panted for a moment. It was obvious that Tien would have to work very hard to fight Ayakon anywhere near even grounds.

"I've seen naught but myself for quite a while. I suppose it's like getting accustomed to a certain temperature. After a while it's just there." Though Tien managed to mitigate the damage a little, his first three attacks met their marks, though to his surprise and delight, the three-eyed warrior outright blocked his final blow, the kick meeting only the human's bare hands and nothing more. "Very impressive." Ayakon grinned.

As he stepped back, Tien's grin grew wider and he realized a moment later what the human was preparing for. He brought his hand back and said, "Oh we really should discuss my family's history." As the stream of energy fired from Tien's mouth, Ayakon smacked his hand upward just before it would hit him, redirecting the attack upwards and turning it into a harmless (but pretty) explosion in the sky. Ayakon jumped backwards a fair amount, giving Tien room to dodge his next attack. Given what it could do, he didn't want to obliterate his ally. He pulled a hand back and said, "I'm going to show you something the likes of which you've never seen, Tien Shinhan."

He pulled his hands back and charged something very familiar, "Ka...me...ha...me...HA!" He fired a burst of energy. Tien had likely seen Ayakon's Kamehameha attack before, so he would likely notice the dramatic change in form. As usual, this beam was blue and about the size of Ayakon's open palms, indicating that it was the normal version of the Kamehameha rather than the suped up one Master Roshi had taught him. Nevertheless, one strange thing remained about it. As it traveled towards the humanoid, it was laced in a spiral form with fire, as if the attack itself was threatening to ignite.

As he poured power into the attack, he watched Tien's reaction. He never intended to actually fight Tien, therefore letting him in on this particular secret would likely never come back to bite him in the tail. But whether or not he was interested was another thing. He wasn't going to force the Fire Temple on his human ally, but he did figure it would do him some good if he chose to go.

"Thank you," Tien said, grinning back at his opponent after Ayakon made his remark. The human still felt a spark of pride as the changeling complimented Tien, and he became confident again. It didn't matter what the difference in their power was. The triclops felt he could win this bout, if he were lucky. He became slightly less confident as Ayakon knocked away the mouth blast at point blank, but Tien was still confident nonetheless.

Ayakon hopped back about 5 feet before cupping both hands and placing them at his waist. A blue energy was charged in his hands, and Ayakon muttered 5 syllables. "Ka.... Me.... Ha.... Me.... HA!" The blue energy was short forward at Tien, but the human could sense something else in it. There was a spiral of flames through the kamehameha, a fire that would ignite Tien, as well as burn him.

As the flaming kamehameha wave flew at Tien, he stood forward, holding his arms in an "X" shape. The human reshaped the energy in the kamehameha, changing the power and form of the Kamehameha wave into a shield of fire, surrounding the human's body. Flames licked the dirt and ground, and the crowds were Ooh-ing and Aaah-ing as the human transmuted the Kamehameha into a shield. Smirking, the human saw Ayakon watch for the human's next move. With any luck, he would have to do more than watch.

Flashing forward at his maximum speed, Tien attempted to throw a punch at his foe's jaw, followed by a knee attack at Ayakon's gut. As Tien had moved in to attack, he attempted to swing around and grab his foe in a bear hug. Although he knew he wasn't strong enough, Tien would attempt to squeeze the air out of his foe, while still on fire as well.

Hmpf. I do so detest that technique. Unavoidable, I suppose, but I do hope Tien at least noticed the important part of the blast.

Ayakon slid backwards as Tien charged at him. He was used to people moving quickly, so as the three-eyed human rushed towards him, and as the human reached him, Aya had shifted into his final form with astounding ease. Apparently part of his recent training had been mastery over his released state. As the human's fist slammed into his jaw, he stumbled back, feeling the familiar searing of flame against his cheek. The knee to the gut hit his bare stomach and echoed with the same burning aura. Ayakon all but laughed, "I do not fear the flame anymore." When the human wrapped his arms around Aya, the Changeling shook his head, "This was a bad decision." He made sure to keep his arms up and out of the reach of the human's crushing grasp, so that his next moves would be possible.

The constant flame causing his flesh to cry out in pain was unavoidable, but Aya was determined to show his resistance to the human's burning aura. He pulled his fist back with the human squeezing him, and aimed a point-blank punch at the human's face. Not caring whether or not the human let him go (even continuing his onslaught if the human continued to squeeze him), Aya let loose another hard punch, and another. Still not releasing his full potential, his speed was enough to aim punch after punch at the human, determined to stop only when Tien was on the ground, but ideally stopping before he killed the human and sent him out of the astral realm.

Even if Tien had managed to stay stuck to Ayakon (in which case the Changeling would've been extremely impressed), Aya said, "Once I leave the realm of the mind, I'm going to transmit coordinates to your ship. The location of a Temple on the planet Yaidrat that shouldn't be shared with anyone. Spend some time there, if you can. It will do wonders for you."

Tien smirked as his flaming shield pressed up between himself and Ayakon, Tien's bear grab successfully ensnaring the changeling. Then, something that the triclops did not expect happened. His opponent transformed, while still in the human's grasp. Roaring, Tien kept a firm grip on his now-bulkier opponent. "I do not fear the flame anymore. This was a bad decision," Ayakon had said. Tien noted how his opponent reacted very minimally to Tien's flaming barrier, and suddenly, the human noted a sharp pain in his gut. And again.

It would appear that the changeling was forcing Tien to let go, yet the human refused. He maintained his hold, or so he thought he would. A third punch landed in Tien's gut, and he felt worse than ever. Ayakon was immensely powerful at this point, and had the power to rip Tien to shreds. It seemed as if Ayakon would be doing just that. On the fifth punch, the triclops' body had become so numb that he simply let go on impact, and was sent flying.

Landing in the dust, blood had covered the man's face from his failed attempt at persevering the onslaught from his friend. As Tien had let go, however, the changeling turned and faced the human. The crowd that had been cheering until moments ago went silent. The human thought for a moment, wondering how the crowd of people that was created with his imagination could react to the fight. And then Ayakon spoke.

He spoke of temple under the earthy land known as Yairdrat. The changeling would send Tien coordinates for this place. Supposedly it would make Tien much stronger, and test his resolve. This was good, the human liked a challenge. And if Ayakon could do it, Tien would not back down either.

"Very well, my friend. I am headed to Yairdrat anyway, so this works out finely. Perhaps we may meet soon again, Ayakon. If not, I bid you well until we do next meet. But I must say, you do always destroy me in these little bouts of ours. I need to get stronger... Yes, stronger..." Tien said, finishing in a soft voice. As he trailed off, his body disappearing from the Astral Realm. He reappeared in his ship, and a short while later, he received coordinates from a Behemoth-Class Carrier shuttle -- the signature from Ayakon's ship.

Thank you, friend. I will enjoy my stay in this temple you spoke of.
