The night sky was clear, and the stars brightly lit up Borage’s surroundings as he lie on his back in the middle of a farmer’s crop field. He was beginning to enjoy everything about this planet, from the moon to the mountains and oceans. It was paradise compared to the wasteland he came from, and he realized this. He came to the farmer’s field every night, it wasn’t much, but the hay bells were quite comfortable to lay on.

He stared at the moon, something he hasn’t done in a long time. Only a small portion was showing, which was a good thing for the farmer’s home, for if it were full things wouldn’t be so peaceful. Borage hadn’t transformed in so long, he has almost forgotten what it feels like, though considering he was always a mindless beast, he didn’t mind staying in his normal state.

He began to drift to sleep, but was attempting to fight it to keep the farmer from finding him in the morning, since he always woke when a feathered dog let out the most annoying sound when the sun rose. His eyes were bouncing back and forth between shut and open, til movement caught his eye in the distance.

His eyes widened as he noticed something that resembled a bat heading his way from far out in the distance, something Borage was incredibly disgusted by. He watched it as it flew closer and closer, realizing how its arms were separated from its wings, and unusual thing for a bat. He sat up, his hair standing up on his arms and neck from just the thought of it touching him. Then, as it came closer, he saw its face.

“What the hell is that?” A startled Borage jumped to his feet, paranoid this bat wasn’t a bat at all. He took a few paces back, trying to take cover in what little darkness he could find..

After finishing his "work" at West City, Tambourine had to hea back rowards Roshi's place to show him the money he had earned as a certificate that he had worked. What Tambourine wasn't considering, was that Roshi could think that the money was stolen, and that would lead into an unfortunate chain of events. But that wasn't on his mind at the moment. He just had to fly back towards Roshi's place.

The problem was, even if the old man's map was simple enough for Tambourine to understand (and he did, from the island to the city), the demon couldn't figure out how to use the map "backwards", from the city to the island. So, as always, he ended up flying in circles, elipses, and non-defined geometrical shapes until it was way too late.

The feeling of the night, the feeling of darkness surrounding was something Tambourine just couldn't get used to. Back on Namek, it was always daytime, as the planet had three suns. The night was a whole new experience, and a terrifying one at that.

He landed in a crop field, without even knowing where he was. He just wanted to get back to Roshi's to get the power he was promised. Then, the demon looked towards the stars, disgusted.

"The Earth is so pathetic!" he muttered, talking to himself, "it has hundreds of suns, but their light is pitiful!"

Little did he know that there was another being lurking in the shadows nearby...

Borage watched as the creature landed in the crop field. He had never seen anything like it before, wondering where the hell it came from. He was weary, not knowing if this thing was friendly, or if it would try to digest his bones.

Borage eased out from where he was hiding behind the creature, studying it before he said anything.

"This thing can talk?!" A startled Borage thought to himself, at first skeptic to what he had just heard. He stood still for a moment, sizing up the creature, trying to tell if it was here to feed on the farmer's cattle, or had saw him from the sky.

He began to step towards the creature, slow and steady, he got closer and closer. As he was feet away, Borage made a terrible mistake. He didn’t see the stick underneath his foot as he lowered it down, and the cracking noise it made could have been heard a mile away with how quiet it was.

Borage just stood there, knowing he was caught, but not knowing what the creatures intentions were, he just prepared himself for the worse. He hoped the creature wouldn't want to try and kill him, he didn't want to be dinner for this beast.

"Hi there," Borage stated as the creature turned to face him.

At the sound of a fragile piece of wood breaking, Tambourine's instinct kicked in instantaneously. Namekians had tried to take him by surprise countless times in the past, so the demon could recognize a sneak when he heard one. Or, it could be a wild animal. However, his supposition proved to be true when he turned around and saw a creature closely resembling a human.

Quickly, as this humanoid character spoke a pair of words towards Tambourine did not pay attention, he jumped right towards the "predator" to turn the perceived situation around. After jumping and getting closer to the enemy, Tambourine extended his right arm and attempted to grab him by the neck and push him to the ground, without getting his hand off the neck.

"Why are you trying to kill me!?" yelled the paranoid demon.

As soon as the creature turned around, Borage knew this was about to get ugly, and it was far bigger than it looked from farther away. He hoped this thing would be calm and civilized, but he could see the look in its eyes. He braced himself for anything, debating on fleeing from the start, but he decided he’d just see what this thing had to say.

Then, out of nowhere. Borage was taken off guard as the creature lunged toward him reaching for his throat. He was able to catch it’s wrist as its hand gripped his throat, keeping it from adding to much pressure. As the creature pushed against him it

Borage had to use nearly all his strength to remove the creatures hand from his throat, trying to keep it from overpowering him further. He realized this ‘thing’ was stronger than he anticipated, but he knew he may be able to hold his own, if it’s just long enough to escape.

“I don’t want to kill you, so let me go!” screamed the saiyan as he shoved the creature’s arm away from his throat, and raised his foot and attempting to front kick the beast square in his chest, simultaneously pushing himself away from the creature, to get some distance between the two.

Tambourine got kicked away from his supposed assassin, setting themselves apart. With only that single kick, Tamboourine was able to somehow size up the power of his opponent, which wasn't very different to his own. However, there was a difference. The saiyan was wearing some sort of protective armor, which made him more fit for fighting; unlike Tambourine, who only ever wore a pair of pants and shoes.

"Can I trust him?" he thought, after hearing the man's words, "Does he really mean no harm? Or did he just back off after he lost his chance to kill me from behind?"

Without a word and with the same pissed off face, the demon rushed forward and positioned himself right in front of his foe, trying to deliver a pair of quick blows aimed at his chest.

Borage waited, hoping this creature would just take flight and get the hell out of his hang out spot. Then all of a sudden the creature lashed out, and delivered a combo of punches to Borages chest. He could feel by the speed and strength he was closely matched with the beast, as punch after punch connected to his battle gear.

Borage stumbled back, and reached out and attempted to grab his attacker by the wrists, and slung his head forward trying to drive his forhead where the creatures missing nose should have been. He then leaped in the air, flipping backwards while attempting to slam his right foot into the creatures chin. As he he landed he prepared himself for the winged monstrosity to retaliate.

He knew his actions weren't helping the creatures initial assumption that he was trying to kill him, but Borage wouldn't allow himself to be attacked so violently. He liked the ferociousness the creature presented, maybe he could use this time to gain a little experience and possibly gain an ally in the process.

After successfully landing both of his fists on the opponent's chest, Tambourine couldn't help but notice the resistance of the armor the former was wearing. He began to wonder if he could get something like that for himself to help him in the future.

In the middle of his thoughts, his wrists were grabbed and a headbutt landed on his face; making the demon take a step back and put his left hand on his face, but on top of it all it just made him angrier. So, when his foe jumped into the air and brought his leg forward, Tambourine attempted to grab it by the ankle and swing the whole guy over his head, making him crash on the ground.

As Borage was flipping he felt the creature grab ahold of his ankle. He attempted to resist but to no avail. His course drastically changed as he saw the ground coming up fast, with no way of avoiding it. The ground crumbled underneath the force of his face and torso, luckily saiyanz were known for being hard headed.

He lifted himself up using his arms, and rolled away from his opponent before any further damage to his complexion was done. Borage rose to his feet, brushing off the dirt and grass from his battle gear.

"You better hope that doesn't stain," a frustrated Borage stated as he focused his attention back on his winged attacker.

Borage lept towards his opponent, and began to become parrallel to the ground, tucking his legs to his chest. As he reached the creature he outstretched his legs, attempting to drive his heels into his foes chest.

The opponent launched himself towards Tambourine, right after receiving a powerful blow. The demon noticed that he was no normal human, or at least above the average. However, Tambourine was able to place his arms in front of his chest fast enough to let them cushion the hit that was coming towards him.

The winged demon was pushed back and fell to the floor, but got up shortly afterwards. After that, Tambourine came to the conclusion that this man's attacks held no murderous intent, they were just self-defense; just like the contrast between the namekians he had attacked in the past and those that had attacked him. It was a strange feeling which he didn't admit to himself.

So, the demon gave one final glare at his supposed attacker and turned his back towards him. Then, he summoned his purple aura and used it as a propeller to fly away from the field. He had to get back to Roshi's place, after all.
