Love The Patch, Hate The Action Rule.; here's why.

Reasons:

1)
So yeah. Kot was going to face Hal. (this is an example)

If Rem and Kular alone take him on (130kish pl) we have a better chance of beating him than
If Rem, Kular, Sai, and Kenpachi jumped him (220k pl) Because by the new rules. Our alliance, at our strength, gets exactly 0 actions per turn.

Hal is still getting 5 or more.
If just vs Rem and Kular, we get 4 actions to his 5. And we are a MUCH weaker team than with our buddies.

2) If General Blue (being a human) jumps ANY battle that is 1v1, pops a saiba, and decides to just pull a sanara or Future trunks and sit there. The person he jumps for AUTOMATICALLY loses, because they instantly lose 2 actions per round.

3) Insta Clone just became worthless. Because both the player and the clone lose 1 action, meaning the clone gets 1 action, and you lose 1 action. For a net gain of nothing.
Edit: Insta clone is less than worthless, actually. It is a detriment. Because it is half your strength and steals one of your actions.

4) It has become profitable to run around without friends and to NOT be newb friendly. This is an RP that is based around increasing activity by having people group together. I will probably never fight with (on the same team as) a person much weaker than me now, because me losing 1 action is far more significant than some 4k newbie with 2 actions being completely worthless with his suikens.

There are probably more. People need to get friends, or henchmen need to be loosened up so more people can use them. (neutrals, good). Don't make alliances suck and friendship suck!

I agree with this. People can now screw you over by joining your side and magically draining your actions.
I don't know why this rule was needed in the first place.

A minimum action count of 1 or 2 could be implemented, however, the rules is needed.

I don't remember seeing very many gang bangs in DBZ. If this makes them a rarity, then good. I'm glad. Even so, handicap matches were never supposed to be about drowning your opponent in actions they can't defend against. Now you have to ACTUALLY use tactics to battle someone, even in a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1. Not just overwhelm their ass.

I also don't seem to follow the logic that someone joining your side isn't worth it now. You forfeit 1 action to get someone with a separate set of health, another ki meter, another set of moves, and the chance to perform partner attacks. I think that would be worth losing 1 measly action over in most cases.

It would be interesting if you could tag team to remedy this. As in, each team has a number of actions and can divvy them between fighters as they wish, ie. One team mate or two gangs up on the single opponent, the remaining teammate just "rests," and doesn't use any of the team's actions. When the other two are tired, they swap.

If you are in a battle but not participating, such as standing there on the sidelines watching it (like Vegeta watched Nappa fight during the Saiyan Saga in DBZ), then you don't take away any actions.

One question, though. Can this action removal be optional? (from the solo party, of course)
As in, if I'm fighting 2 guys with way lower power levels, and decide to make the fight more even, could I grant them those actions?

It was ruled that you can't do that. If there's no open slot on the other side, you can't hurt your allies. If there is, you automatically switch teams.

I actually like that it makes it a little safer... I actually figured most of my fights would end up me getting jumped by 2 or 3 people...

In a 1 on 1 of roughly the same power its pretty even, in a 2 on 1 where they are your power and have 6 actions rather than 4, you just get smashed... Where if they have 4 I can at least attempt to fight back.

This does make it a bit harder for smaller players to swarm a big guy though.

What's funnyis like only two of those did all the gang bangers attack at once...otherwise it was rather alternative tag switching.

Well that's only the white ones really. Which kinda proves the point that it makes no difference if you team or not, it doesn't matter as combat might devolve into tag-teaming. Which means that the gang bangers losing is even higher than presented in this thingy. So gang bang isn't really that bad.

CASE CLOSED -- THIS RULE IS BAD.

I don't have a problem with this rule. But then again I'm not so worried about trying to organize swarm teams to beat one person that I should. My game isn't changed by this rule.

I wouldn't mind tag switching rules. To allow more combatants for alliance mates and such. If all 7 of my alliance is standing around, sure... I can see that they might see all 7 of em bumrushing the guy as dumb- because then theyre getting in each others way.

Maybe changing loyalty passive? Cuz, personally, i absolutely hate the idea that some random nobody i've never met can join my battle simply because he is apparently 'loyal' to me?

I'm with kasume on this point. Just build up your character, and writing ability and you shouldn't have a problem In battle...

Strongest active player on the board is evil. Evil can use Saiba's. Saiba's not affected by action rule...

So... Evil, now better than ever!

This is very true.

On the other hand, students probably don't count either, since those are considered less than Officers, but who knows. Doesn't matter anyway since they leave if you take a sabbatical in the ND >_>
