Keep in mind these times are for monday-friday regardless. The boss is changing our schedules up to do things differently at work. Just wanna get people's thoughts on the matter. Don't forget to tell me why you chose what you chose. My current shift is 8:30am - 5:30pm. |

Which shift will make you more inclined to answer PMs and do staff work? And I'm not being snarky, I'm serious. Take the shift that meets your offline needs, but will also give you more time to devote to the site. The fact that you're even asking us for our input means the site means something to you, which is why I factor it into the equation. |

It's time the hate was ended.[/align] As of 09/22/12, I was rendered incapable of posting or RPing on ADBZ. I promised I would aid in the site's prosperity so long as I was humanly able. Now that I'm not, I'm gone. My password's set so I can't come back even if I want to. Bye. | |

7am - 4pm I currently work similar hours to you and its just so restrictive. There is no time before work to get anything you need done because most places open at 8 which usually doesn't leave enough time to sort it and then get to work. At the same time most places close at 6 again not giving you enough time after work. A 4pm finish would give you time to sort other things in life after work before coming home, but would necessitate earlier nights. |

I say keep your current hours. You're not up at the crack of dawn and you'll be home to spend the nights with your wife where as if you were to work 1 - 10 you'd get home, crawl into your bed and sleep until you need to go to work the next day. Really it all boils down to "Do whatever you need to to keep Kas happy". |

7-4. Keep your evenings free. Frolic in the sun, and dance in the autumn leaves. Also, you can have dinner ready when kas gets home.

I can answer this better than anyone: Keep your current shift. 7 AM start means you'll be up at 5-5:30 (which I know for a fact you hate and I'm gonna hate it for having to help you get up which means it becomes my wake up time too). The subways are still running on late night schedule which means you'll want to be on the train by 6am at the least to factor in the late night schedule. Plus SINCE it will be late night schedule the R train will be running as a shuttle and you'll need to come off the train at 36th and wait for another train. So no more one-seat-ride to work. Even if you go for the D train you'll still have to get off and wait for another train since it doesn't go to downtown Manhattan. Keeping your current shift means you don't have to make any adjustments to your lifestyle (and mine). You're used to getting up at 7 and getting your bus around 7:45 to get to work on time. NOW that being said, I could suggest you take the 1-10pm because you're a bit of a night owl and stay up to 12-1am usually no matter what. But you'll be hard pressed when it comes to your eating schedule. I like the 1pm-10pm because I don't have to deal with Rush Hour either way but as Karas says by the time you've gotten home you'll probably not feel like doing anything after. I say keep your shifts as is unless your boss forces you to make a choice in which case go with 1pm-10pm because you're miserable before 7-8am. |

I voted to keep your current cuz it is the most ideal. It would suck to wake up earlier but it would also suck to get out later. |

Okay, just keep your current shift man. 1. I have to wake up at 5:10ish to get to work and that's fucking BULLSHIT. That i have to spend two hours in the dark, often times outside, at work is just ball busting. 2. If you take the 1-10pm shift, *sniffles* I will never get to see you except on weekends. So yeah, it might be the same old same old, but what most people hate to admit is that consistency in lifestyle often stablizes their mood and makes them happier in the long run. A man with a dependable scheduel is a dependable man. |

I think it depends on how you get to work and how that would change if you do change your shift. My shifts usually are a 7-7:30 start and that's fine now, since it only takes me ten minutes to walk to work. However, before that, when I wasn't living near work, I had to walk an hour to get to the train station, then pay out for a half hour train ride. So, I was having to wake up at 5 to 5:30 just to get to work on time, which in the Winter was horrible, because it was dark, and I hated walking an hour in the dark in a town which is common for drugs, stabbings, assaults, etc. If, however, you can get to work easily and it doesn't take long, then working the earlier shift is good, because it allows you the afternoon and evening to relax. Personally, I'd never take the 1-10pm. Knowing that you have work during the day is a horrible feeling, and the first half of the day just goes too quickly. |

There's also an old saying that goes, "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife." |
