Kenpachi narrowed his eyes at the figure he was currently watching. The female fighter was currently in the middle of flying... where? Zaraki didn't know, and he really couldn't have cared... TOO much less. All that was important was that he had finally found her. He had been spending far too much time looking for this girl; he only hoped that she could put up a decent fight. He had been itching for a battle ever since he arrived here. And just because it was an itch he couldn't scratch until he was able to get this damn eye patch off didn't mean that he wasn't going to keep himself entertained. Kenpachi threw himself forward, covering ground quite quickly... the woman was heading somewhat in his direction, but he was already correcting himself, heading to intercept her just a few hundred yards from where she was now. The hybrid warrior smiled brightly as he suddenly turned his run into a massively quick upward ascent by pushing off extremely hard with his right foot. His momentum skyrocketed him toward his target, feeling the wind brush by his bell-laden hair as he soared toward his target. "HEY YOU!" Kenpachi shouted at the last moment, as he was only a few feet away. His head plowed through where he had predicted the woman would be, and Kenpachi spread his arms shortly after he passed there, slowing his ascent and quickly turning it into a descent. "I heard you've got something pretty unique; either hand it over, or give me enough fun that I feel like leaving!" Kenpachi shouted, drawing his blade. The sound of it sliding against the sheath rang out, before he slashed downward as his momentum reversed, directing himself back toward the female fighter and bringing the sword down as hard as he could with his right arm. Kenpachi vanished in mid-fall, after his blow was finished. His form began to re-appear just below Kasume and off to the right, cackling as his blade slashed through the air twice, once vertically and once horizontally; the blows were so fast, so powerful, that the blade seemed to glow as the light from the sun glinted off of the rough and jagged steel.

So much to take in! So much was going on. The demon girl could only wish that she were in several places at once. For all the magic she possessed, all the spells that existed within her knowledge, and all the wishing she could do; Kasume was still but one person in the world and so only existed in one place. The forest she had come to know and love, serene and secluded had been flooded with witch hunters, all beckoned by the one enchantress Morgana. She could go back there and dispense of them if she truly wanted. The witch band had been removed. She saw to that. But it was so much more complicated than that it would erupt one’s head into a migraine to explain. The demon girl knew she couldn’t stay in one place. Eventually the path would return her to Kyro beside the pure-hearted guardian Kento. Eventually the fight would reach the tipping point and there she would be as the cause; the lead cause of it all. All of this was true because Baba had foretold it. Kasume’s desire for the enchantress’s graceless fall remained at an all-time high; a high that would not settle until she had basked in the results leading to said desire. However, the fates were never kind to her in this aspect. There was always some element of opposition ahead of her. Some fool who decided to get in the way. The demon girl could smell it in the air at the breath of dawn. Today would present an opposition. Where, however, she knew not. But she knew there would be an opposition. Her tongue tasted the humid air of Dew Cove, her mind centered in meditation as she basked nude within the hot spring deep within. Nothing less but the best for this woman. Nothing! There were riches in the civilized world that could not compare to the one the ones presented by the Chalice of Natural; that’s the wild for those unsure of this expression. The gods feasted upon such a chalice. She knew of some that appreciated the natural state. Lana was such and was probably off feasting upon the land her powers oversaw in the first place. It felt like time was slipping by at the slowest pace. She could swear upon a spiritual manuscript she’d been there for most of the day. But only an hour and half had transpired. An hour and forty-five minutes if time had managed to slip her a curveball. Suddenly she opened her eyes, those hazel eyes of hers, and glanced to the edge of the spring. She did believe it was time for her to step out. If one had gazed about the spring they’d find no trace of clothing shed by the female demon, yet somehow she was nude. The girl cracked a smile as she sunk into the high temperature water. Neck deep, she waded across to the other side until she came across some natural stairs beneath the water. She began to ascend the stairs, lifting herself from the spring. As she did, steam covered her body from above her chest to her upper thighs. She vacated the hot spring. That’s when the steam began to take form upon her body. Clothing was appearing simply from the air, quite literally. A black shirt produced itself upon her, covering the chest but exposing the navel area showing off her trimmed abdomen, fitted black pants to cloth her buttocks and thighs but her feet remained exposed. Drops of water dropped off the edges of her still wet hair as she continued to walk. She soon saw rays of sunlight, signs that she would soon exit out into the open. She continued to walk, hardly in a hurry. Her face expression was stoic with the only signs of life within it were her periodic blinking of the eyes. Soon she would move into the stunning light cast down by the sun itself. There she would stop and allow the sun’s light to focus on her, like the star of a show only she had no audience; yet. Slowly she moved her hands in a bit of wing spread as she stretched herself. She now postured herself there wearing her trademark black gown. She sniffed at the air and smiled. Oh opposition! A majestic mountain range lay in the background of a vast beautiful forest, much different than the one her home had existed in. Kasume had only actually visited this place once before. It could be her new residence. That hot spring certainly might see to that. But she wanted to see more. So the demon girl took herself ahead on a tour. Or at least that’s what she wanted to do. The smell of the air had changed at that moment. Opposition! There was the looming feel of a threat in the distance. Opposition! Her mind instantly reminded her of her original thought upon waking to this day. Opposition! Yes after much time being allowed to pass, the day would finally give it to her! Opposition! And so she was left knowing that she would have to deal with this thing…this opposition! But ohhhh if she had only known the nature of this opposition beforehand! If she knew who it was! If she knew where it was coming from…if she knew! IF SHE KNEW!!! Her body was starting to react. Burning! Her right hand went to her left bicep. Burning! Traces of red were starting to form there as she felt the start of the sensation traveling to her brain! Burning! The female let out a grunt. She knew this sensation. She was all too familiar with it. In the height of her mind becoming excited, becoming fast paced, becoming…primal! She raced off into the forest. Her heart was beating, she could swear she heard tribal drums in her ears as she moved along, going from the ground first into the trees! Crossing the tree branches, moving further to the sky without levitation! She had to move! It took her! Instincts! Leading the way, instincts were driving her body to perform one simple act! Movement! The redness on her left bicep continued to make its appearance and she could feel something burning into the flesh area as it was appearing, her birthmark! Her breathing was becoming hyper as she picked up speed and she moved as quickly as she could. It would soon be upon her! The opposition! WISK! Into the air with a spring so high, she rose above the tree tops and nearly startled the birds. She landed upon the highest tree and jumped again into the sky arms out straight, legs stretched back and her hair whipping about. That’s when she heard it! The sound! "HEY YOU!" it came… Simple as that! The next she knew she was being flushed off to the side as another crashed into her. Then they descended, through the trees, her ears becoming filled with the sound of snapping branches, rustling leaves and peeling bark. Her world was tumbling about as she spun feeling the other presence against her body, her opposition! A branch parted them on the way down and you could hear the crashing of their bodies landing upon the ground. She had landed on her side and was rising to her feet, her hair a mess and covering face to some extent, exposing her lips and nose to the opposition as she appeared to be staggering to her feet. Then she heard it again. "I heard you've got something pretty unique; either hand it over, or give me enough fun that I feel like leaving!" A male voice! She had been dropped to the ground by a man so savage. Kasume had only time to lift her head once more before he ravaged her again this time with a solid blow of the fist to what could only be her chin had she not moved to avoid it. She lifted up and flipped backwards, her hair whipping about and her gown fluttering as the breeze guided her body in the air. The woman hadn’t tried to register his words. Not yet. She needed to get herself on the straight first. Her hands and feet made contact with the ground first as she heard the sound of steel being drawn. Her head straightened out to look upon him or what she thought was him, with only her left eye being unobstructed by locks of free flowing hair. The sound of moving steel filled the air as the man swung his steel attempting to slice upon the female like she were the equivalent of cheese. Then silence ruled the moment and he could see his result when he went to look. Her only regret at the moment was that she would not get the satisfaction of his initial reaction at that single moment; the moment when he realized he invested so much into the swing of the blade just then only for there to be nothing in the wake of it but her laughter. It echoed as one would expect it to in the midst of a forest such as this one. But she was not present within eyeshot at that moment. “Leave? Hehehehehehe! You think you’ll be leaving on your own? Hahahahahahah!” Her voice heightened, the laughter growing louder and louder until it seemed omnipresent. The wind whipped around as if it were becoming angry, or perhaps stirred by the demon girl herself. Then there came the sound of the leaves as if something were stepping on them. The laughing persisted only now it was becoming less omnipresent. There was a source direction finally as it was being allowed. Suddenly she appeared simply walking out from the leftward position, her hair still a mess, head moving in a tremble that could only be from her allowing it to move during her laughter. Her gown was receding at that moment and a reddish gleam was present upon her left bicep. Her right hand moved to try and cover it but the glowing slipped through her fingers. Yes, the birthmark’s burning and glowing were all too familiar to her. Such only became active in the presence of another with demon blood. The gown’s recession continued until the woman was revealed to in the pants & shirt that were previously hugging her body. Present upon her feet were red boots, upon her arms red gauntlets and gloves upon her hands that exposed the fingertips. Yes, her magic was doing all this, as it had done hundreds of thousand times over. Her hair lifted and seemed to tie itself into a ponytail leaving several of the strands hanging in front of and beside her face. The hazel and reds of her eyes were gone. There was nothing present but a sinister red glow and a face expression so animalistic that one would be able to say her humanity was fading. “Let me tell you something. You’re not leaving on your own. Hehehe for you see, it is actually you who is in possession of something unique. I want it and you’re not leaving till I get it.” The red glow in her eyes faded revealing her hazel eyes with a glowing redness around the pupils. She looked at the birthmark. “This birthmark is throbbing. It’s telling me to drink the chalice…the one that contains your blood!” The demon girl threw her head back and screeched like a banshee, letting her demon side come to control. Then setting her glance back on him she snapped forward at him, almost seeming to be gliding across the ground. No she was just that graceful. The heavy jungle beat was present in her ears and mind, telltale of what her current mind set was. Primal. Her hands had adjusted to claw posture and now she swarmed upon him with intentions of harm. She’d jump if not for the thread of the blade. She did a wing spread of the arms, hands glowing at the end. “SAGURA DESIO GORUN SAKUN!!!” she shouted the spell. She swung her arms in an attempt to cross them. As she did two solid streams of dirt followed the motion and she stopped leaving a foot of distance between. The dirt streams crossed in front of her, spiraled around each other and by the forward thrust of the demon girl’s hands went straight for her prey. She thrust her hands to the side again, hands aglow. “GYEN SEN GORUN SAKUN!!” She pulled the dirt from the earth once more again in stream form. As if she were an artist, she attempted to mold the dirt above her head, creating a giant sphere of pure dirt, solidified into rock upon her whim. Her senses remained locked upon the presence of her prey. She strived to the right moving the sphere across the air above her. Then she willed it forward attempting to strike him once more. She’d follow him to claiming the capture. The heavy beat of the drums continue in her mind as she continued pressing forward, her eyes gave off a glow. “MUSA HAKYU GORUN SAKUN!” The dirt lifted beneath her feet and she stopped moving them. The dirt carried her forward as she flashed her demon like fangs, growling all the way. She was surfing the dirt toward him and crouched low with her arms crossed before her face as she tucked her head. The moving dirt arched itself downward and she sprung at him giving a roar as she did, aiming for a simple body crash against him, hoping to take him through several trees; hell even one if she could manage it. The terrain was becoming a mess quickly. Kenpachi listened to the strange things the woman was saying, but didn't really care for too many of them... in fact, as she spoke about a chalice, and Kenpachi's blood, he felt himself getting a cocky smile. "I don't know what the hell you're talking about... but I like the way it sounds." Zaraki's feet shifted against the earth, soft shuffling sounds emerging as his sandals roughly slid across the dirt. He adjusted his stance while the woman started to make strange hand motions. The earth rose around her, earthen hues in sharp contrast to the greenery surrounding them, the air filling with the constant sound of rocks and dried clumps of dirt banging against each other. Kenpachi just looked on, a bit of confusion on his face. "So... do those count as ki... or not? Should I hate her for using them?" Kenpachi sighed, shook his head, and decided to move on, disregarding the answer. He shook his head, and the sound of metal on metal filling the air, slightly louder as the bells hung upon each clump of hair began to rattle, giving the battle a near festive sound. Two streams of dirt that the woman had been melding suddenly twisted around each other, interwoven and being thrust in his direction. Kenpachi narrowed his eyes, watching it spiral toward him... and he felt a brief moment of joy as he realized just how fast it was traveling. Kenpachi held his blade up. Tiny speckles of light covered the ground around him as each individual scar of the blade caught its own glimmer in the sun, then faded away - as the dirt stream collided and covered the blade. Kenpachi held the blade firm, but the dirt stream was powerful enough that he had to plant his left arm against the flat of the blade. Some of the dirt scattered, flying into the air or into the ground below, but more of it plowed into Kenpachi's chest. The force was diluted, almost gone, but it didn't mean Kenpachi appreciated having mud rubbed all over his robes for several seconds. Kenpachi slashed his blade through the air the moment that the stream ended. Mud flew off, splattering on the ground with a very unappealing noise, mostly freeing itself from the blade. Kenpachi rubbed it a little, cleaning off the excess, while muttering both to his opponent and to himself. "You know, I don't suppose you'd be willing to come over here..." Kenpachi looked up just then and realized that his lapse in concentration on his foe would be quite costly. And painful. A massive sphere of earth, hardened to ridiculous proportions, plowed into Kenpachi's chest, throwing him backward. He let out a wheeze of air as he felt the sphere hit and fell backward rather quickly. Thankfully the sphere, being round as it was, was rather content to roll off of Kenpachi's chest as he fell backwards, its momentum carrying it off of him. Kenpachi stood up, rubbing at his chest, smirking a little bit as a few drops of blood began trickling out of his nose. "Not bad... you're pretty powerful... guess I don't need to take it easy, huh?" His body began to shake slightly, as Kenpachi let down his mental barriers. He stopped holding himself back... and felt his strength start to increase. Kenpachi looked on as the girl started charging at him, and his excitement roared. His golden aura rose around him as he unconsciously started to lose finite control over his own power, releasing everything he had. "Now THIS is what a real battle is about!" Rather than shy away from the incoming attack Kenpachi plowed straight into it, drawing his free hand back and thrusting it forward, intending to drive it right into the skull of the charging girl. The air around his fist rippled, the strength behind the blow so great that energy and force were gathering around it.

Had her body skipped a beat she'd have found herself rolling on the floor after the reckless body crash. However she was well compensated for by the target when he crashed into her. The force of the collision somehow provided the necessary spring to allow her to stand firm upon her feet once again. The cat always landed on her feet after all. With a simple brush of the hand, she knocked her ponytail back where it belonged; behind her. She could feel it. Power was starting to surge within him. Begin the fight for life! The demon girl's tongue ran visibly over her upper lip and she put on a grin. The girl felt her left foot sink a little into the soil as she moved it backwards in preparation for the next move. Realizing the opportunity placed upon her, the demon girl shuddered and began cackling once again. The girl's hand moved up and rested upon the summit of her skull where the man's attack had crashed into her. Call it recoil for her reckless charge. The pain was a rush. Truly Kasume's demon side was masochistic to feel something like that after taking a hit. A moment to settle down came just then. She took a deep breath and looked to the man, getting the full impression of his form. Her eyes shifted to the blade and then she frowned slightly. The lady brought no such weapon along with her. But she didn't really need such a thing. She hardly worried about it. However in the big picture of her thoughts the concern was there. Still she remained more interested in what his blood tasted like if anything else and just how she would serve herself with it. She took a step forward and made note of the man's active aura, his excited glance. She hadn't seen a man look so clueless in some time. With her instincts still driving her, the only thing she could really do was press forward. Some of the dirt was moved as she pressed forward. Back on the attack again! The drums hadn't stopped. She gave up on them. They wouldn't fade well until after this was over. All she could do is be swept up in her instinctive aggression and attack...attack...attack! Watch! Eyes on her! Don't blink! She didn't have much distance to cover. Act! React! No need to think! The time spent thinking was time she could be vulnerable. She hated being vulnerable! Loved it when others were however. The feminine demon let out a ferocious screech as she moved her hand with the fingers tucked against her palms. She thrust them forward for the man's chest hoping to force him backwards into a stagger. Once again she attempted moving upon him as she turned the wrist of her right hand upward and jabbed at the currently exposed midsection of his body. She aimed to turn into him and be close enough so she could align herself with him and push off the ground just a bit. From there she could drop the left elbow into him and strike once more, all the while her legs flipped into the air continuing her motion so she didn’t lose any momentum. This simple motion provided her with enough kinetic motion energy to finish the jump. She simply had to twist and bring them down quickly enough to be on her feet again. She also needed to be facing him to boot. Nimble be the demon! Quickly move the girl! Feet planting, balance granting! Focus sustaining, advantage maintaining! Moving herself in a rhythm was key especially with the powers that be; providing him with the ability to provide resistance. She assumed he had the stamina to be persistent and move defensively as she moved offensively. Still she aimed to find the spot and she'd stop at nothing to remain on top. So she needed the shoulders next! She did her best to align herself comfortably and reach out for them letting her power and technique do the rest. Using them she aimed to press him on the ground with force, forever keeping in mind the drawn steel. That blade could do much to her if he knew how to use it. She would do well to stay ahead of it providing him with little room to make use of it. She was fine like this, making it hard for him. Making work for the use of his precious blade! Making him work to get his moment! Making him work for the unique thing he mentioned at the beginning of the skirmish: That unique thing which was apparently the cause of it. She needed to at some point find a moment to ask him just what the hell it was he was after. But at the moment the only thing she cared about was inflicting more harm. Her eyes glowed as did the birthmark. She could feel it continuing to throb on her bicep, steadily driving her into more animalistic nature. Her last remaining thought for the moment was this: Pure heart, where are you to stop me now? All the while adding to this assault a simplistic side kick at his kidney zone. Actions: Free: Boar Attack Taken 1: 2x Quick Attack Combo 2: Elbow Drop (SA) 3: Shoulder Slam (SA) 4: Kidney Kick (SA) Ki Used: 0 Projected Damage Taken: 2.7% |

The blow that hit Kenpachi's chest was powerful - quick, but powerful. The blow that followed through, just as much so. Kenpachi took a step back, and then another, using the slight momentum to shift his weight and regain a fighting stance as the girl launched herself at him once more, slightly in the air, driving her elbow through the air and downward toward his body. It hit his sword arm, nearly popping his shoulder out of place, but Kenpachi pulled away as it came down, keeping it from inflicting serious damage to his ability to wield the weapon. For now. Some might have thought it would end there, but Kenpachi had been prepared for the follow-through - this girl was like him, aggressive. He loved it. As the next blow started coming he twisted his body to the left to allow the shoulder to skim along his body, just ruffling the edges of his robes. His arm tensed, veins, tendons, and muscles all rippling through in near perfect clarity through the skin as he returned the blow with his own. He drove his entire weight forward, intending to drive the tip of his elbow into the woman's neck, near the base of her spine as she fell. But the girl didn't hesitate to continue the attacks, even then. She lifted her leg up and drove it into Kenpachi's side - his robes were hardly of use to dilute the force of such a strike, and Kenpachi bent sideways from the force of it, feeling his innards shifting from the concussive wave traveling through his body. Kenpachi wiped at his mouth, still smirking at the woman. "I think I like you... you're pretty tough, and you know how to get up close and personal. I can't tell you how long it's been since I had someone who fought like a real warrior!" Kenpachi's golden aura rose dangerously with his words, and a golden arc lifted along his blade, as his power traveled through it subconsciously. Kenpachi closed the minimal distance that had been opened between them by the kick and sliced horizontally across the girl's torso, driving the blade's ragged edge as hard and quickly as he could. With years of training behind his hands, Kenpachi switched the blade's direction and brought it down to his waist, driving it forward, the blade pointed up as he slashed it up from below. The blade glistened with a deadly shine, catching the light of the sun as it tried to find itself a new home in this woman's body. Kenpachi forced the blade through its swing and back into position, trying not to give a moment's pause, always moving, always seeking to deliver the next hit or to receive one to keep his adrenaline flowing. He drove the point forward this time, straight at the center of mass of the girl as if to impale her very soul.

Her body moved. His body moved. The demon girl loved the dance of combat. She didn't expect him to stand there like a rag doll and take the abuse. He was taking some of it though which was good. He also managed to throw some back. This meant progress and that she was efficient in her movements. The demon girl was pressing him for action and she could tell he was feeling the heat. Such was the nature of a reversal move that he had managed to land upon her neck, forcing her to stagger out of her grace. But as she had quickly regained it and finished her part in the combat for the moment, the demon girl had done well in showing her absolute persistence. Suddenly there was a moment of ceasefire. The demon girl had pulled back from her target. She somehow felt the need to place herself upon the sturdy branch of a nearby tree, leaning against it with her arms folded. Her glowing eyes were fixated on him. She noticed a look of excitement upon his face. Could he be enjoying the moment? Intriguing that he seemed to be enjoying it. He seemed to live for combat. Which meant all she was doing was giving him a thrill. Fun and games! Fun and games! But in this one someone was sure to get hurt. So what was next?
Confirmation. He was enjoying the challenge. All of that was well and good. However the hunger inside her still remained. She was still feeling the burning sensation of the birthmark on her arm. Just when she thought she could place it out of mind, it was there to remind her, intensifying in its throbbing and its sensation. It forced her to place her hand over it and give a scowl as she knew her demon instincts were trying to drive her forward again. Patience dear thirst! Soon the chalice would be ready for the drinking. "As demon as I am, I'm still a woman who appreciates flattery. But your fate is still sealed. Hah!" At the sound she made toward the end of her dialogue, she flipped herself into a handstand on the branch and swung down to the ground as her target brought out more power. Down on one knee and a hand she quickly took notice of his posture. His attack ready posture! He prepared to bear down on her. Only a handful of men did she willingly allow this. This one was not one of them. His body moved! Her body moved. Blazing speed reached in a matter microseconds, she seemingly vanished as he drove forward. His turn to lead the dance of combat once more as he attempted to slice her with the cold steel of his blade. Drawing her blood was not going to be easy if she could help it. Clap! The first instance of her visibility came with her hands smacking the ground as she did a 180 flip upon the ground using her hands for support. Twice more she smacked the ground with her hands as she back flipped away from him. A hand went to her forehead as a flashing white appeared in her eyes just then. A premonition struck her of his next attack. So struck an idea of how to manage it. But it was time used; enough to bring her face to face with the man once again. He spotted her rather quickly then it seemed. So his body moved! Her body moved once again! She stepped into him drawing sheer resistance into her arms and hands. Her hands would be so bold as to press against the flat edges of the blade as he drove it forth, barely directing it to slide to the left of her precious body. The next of this was an amazing show of upper body strength and balance as he brought it forth again. She went for the flat edges again with her hands. Clasping against them she brought her legs up and actually did a handstand on the sword for what had to have been less than a moment. She used her legs to drive herself into a tumble in the air, tucking her head and legs as close to her chest and torso as she could until just before the landing. This way she could touch ground with her hands and feet. Nimble be the demon girl! She quickly spun upon her left pivoted foot and snapped her knee forward hoping to catch his spine. With a jump she sought distance again, her eyes and palm glowing as she conjured more of her witch magic. "SAGURA DESIO GORUN SAKUN!" A shadow loomed over her as forced her hands forward. Two streams of pure dirt arched over her head and crossed around each other before seeking to drop down on the man with heavy impact intended. Meanwhile she landed on the ground, hands still extended forward awaiting the result where he either defended himself or found himself the victim of a mud flow. ![]() Kenpachi tried to turn around to catch the girl, but before he could a knee planted on his spine, focused mostly on a handful of vertebrae because of the awkward position that he was in. He felt a massive wave of cracks go up his back as the woman moved away from him, once again. Kenpachi grunted, rubbing his spine and twisting a little bit side from side. "Not bad... think you gave me this year's adjustment..." Kenpachi slashed his sword once, testing it. He could feel every ounce of his body readying itself for more. He liked this girl, even more than he had at the beginning of the fight - she really knew how to brawl. "Demon, eh..." Kenpachi said, a little to himself but loudly enough that he could be easily heard. "Maybe that's why you fight so well. We've got a little of the same blood in us-" "These demons are a different breed... like nothing you've seen before." Kenpachi grunted, holding his head with one hand as a flash of the Youko came to him. Sanara... the one he'd been trying to find for months now. He shook the flash from his head. These weird visions were getting more frequent, but not always very long. Unfortunately, it had distracted him long enough that he hadn't realized there were two very large streams of dirt coming his way. Kenpachi felt all the mass of Earth pouring on top of him. But as the rocks, hardened dirt, and mud fell on his head... Kenpachi felt his body rising up to meet the challenge. He was suddenly feeling stronger... yes, this was it. He hadn't had a chance to let himself go like this in ages. Kenpachi was just about warmed up, now. As the last bits of Earth fell, Kenpachi now nearly invisible surrounded by the mud, there was a long moment of silence. When that moment passed, however, it was like the entire world had exploded with raw energy. Kenpachi's aura burst forth from his body with such vigor and force that it sounded like a hundred rifles firing simultaneously as every ounce of mud and dirt he was covered with was suddenly, violently, uproariously thrust away from his figure. A blinding yellow light emerged, jagged, uncontrolled, but just as powerful as any other, as Kenpachi's aura literally had to force energy out of itself to keep sustainable. The yellow wave dashed across the ground toward the demon girl, ripping the grass below it into tiny shreds. Kenpachi stared across at the girl, dangerous light gleaming in his eyes, brighter even than the sunlight glistening off of his freshly cleaned blade. "Come on then, girlie... let's have some REAL FUN!" Kenpachi laughed loudly, almost cackling as he charged forward. His body flickered and he vanished from sight for a moment, for those too slow to keep an eye on his speed, but then appeared directly in front of the girl. Like camera flashes there were seven brilliant streaks of light as his blade struck, not once, not even twice, but seven times in rapid succession. Kenpachi could feel every pounding hit, whether it struck something solid or merely traveled through the air, and each strike only added to his tremendous thirst for blood and battle.

After thoroughly reading each post, I still found it difficult to choose a winner of the RP Award. You both are great at staying IC and not spamming 'Block' and 'Dodge'. I read it over again and still didn't come much closer to just handing over the award. One thing that stood out for me was Kasume's ability to make me feel like I was reading a dance of death. This round goes to Kasume. Kasume and Kenpachi, keep up the intensity. |

The demon girl’s form was nearly flawless it seemed. There she stood with the fight currently under her control. She was highly aware when advantage was hers. However she felt little satisfaction from it at this time. Perhaps it was due to the fact that despite the challenge he was presenting, this man was still an obstacle in the way of her true objective. To boot there was the thirst for demon blood burning into her. The birthmark’s radiant glare was still highly visible. She swore she could feel it sending jolting sensations throughout her body. She needed to satisfy this thirst soon. The woman seemed to be panting a bit. From fatigue? No. The urge for her target’s blood was growing stronger. Surely her demon side self would be in full control soon, yes? She was bad at waiting. How long before she could wait no more? She could feel her heart thumping faster and faster! Ever eager! Ever craving. Her brows were twitching and subtle grunting could be heard if one was practically with their ear no more than 6 inches away from her face. Patience! Just a little longer. She shook her head. She’d lose it soon surely. She had to do something. She took a step forward, looking like she was about to move into her next attack. Her arms now moved closer to her chest, hands open. Eyes on him like the delicious banquet he was going to make himself out to be soon. She could feel every fiber in her body screaming out to her to attack. But before she could, she sensed it. Her senses triggered to the feel of some strange uprising power and she let her brows sink and her body froze all signs of motion. That’s when she saw his body explode with power and she slightly winced at the gleaming light he was generating. “GYUH!” It happened before she even realized it. Her body snapped back as she felt the imposing force of something that could be described as pure ki energy. Her feet had lifted off the ground. She soon felt the back of her body make impact against the ground and go sliding backwards. Clothes singed! Smoke rising. Indeed she had been hit with ki full impact. She sat up quickly and shook it off. "Come on then, girlie... let's have some REAL FUN!" Kenpachi laughed loudly, almost cackling as he charged forward. Indeed he was coming at her. But what was this? Power risen? Had he unleashed again? Indeed and without quick enough haste she’d be feeling his man power without restraint. Her eyes glowed as her mind shifted through countless spells contained within decades of the woman’s knowledge in sub-micro periods of time to find the one capable of handling this one moment. It came out of her pocket. A pill of sorts and she had the chant to unlock it at the time it did. “Siru ge ten fosso!” It split open and a thin green veil of light encased her as she stood up in time to have the man before her, ready to press himself against her with another forceful strike. She saw flashes of light, the kind that could only be generated from swiftly moving steel. She heard its sounds from making impact and while she could feel the force behind the blade staggering her backwards each time it slashed at her, the veil unleashed upon her body provided great protection. She finally jumped backwards in need of some space. She raised her right hand slowly up to her face and sneered at the target. There was an orb in her hand, one not conjured by her own power. With a flick of the wrist she snapped it at him, launching the orb across the air to land upon the ground in front of him. There, it exploded unleashing traces of stasis energy, a present to her prey. After that her mentals went black. The void appeared and she could see her demon self. With those glaring red eyes and sinister appeal, she too reached out her hand, letting her fingertips touch the fingertips that belonged to her human self. Let. Me. Quench. Time was up. She had held it off as long as she could. But it would be denied. Her other entity was not to be denied. Their fingers intertwined just then and their palms touched and she felt the throbbing once more as her head snapped back forcing her to scream again. The light at the moment exploded creating an intense glare. There seemed to be a humming in the air. Then she appeared visible again still with the glare behind her. The shirt and shorts on her had turned color by way of a mix of white and red. There seemed to be elegant wings spread behind her back. But it was merely an illusion of the moment. Her hair wafted in the wind as the demon girl hovered above the ground with her head still slightly back. Her eyes were closed and she felt warm. She soon felt her body lowering to the ground until her feet made contact. Then she lowered her head until she could stare straight ahead. Her hair settled into place and she opened those eyes once more. Red glow! Begin the awakening. In wake of this, the atmosphere was beginning to change. Clouds were starting to cast the area in shadow and a breeze was beginning to pick up. There was a rumbling noise in the background, thunder! She pressed her hand over the birthmark once more. It was an instinctive action of course causing this. “The birthmark is burning! It yearns for demon blood, the soul of another! Let me hunt for your soul and quench the thirst!” Her eyes widened as if she had just received a blow to the stomach. However such was not the case. Her demon self took hold of her consciousness. The power she tasted was as divine as wine from the golden chalice. She needed to bask in it! The birthmark shot a glowing red beam into the sky hitting the clouds that responded back by striking her with red lightning. Her form was visibly lost in the light that generated from it once she was hit. Her screeching was drowned out by the roar of the growing storm further noised about by destructive funnel clouds forming over the forest around them. In the intensity of this powerful rush the demon girl’s only trace of humanity was in the form of a tear that formed within her left eye. No more restraint. The demon girl, filled with uprising power herself emerged from the light. “In response to your last statement… Yes, let’s have fun!” Then again her arms rose up at her side as if doing a wingspread. But this time something followed. Her eyes gleaming and her hands glowing, found herself drawing in power. The woman began to cackle once more this time with the storm intensifying as if laughing along with her. That’s when it appeared. Before her was the presence of a strange glowing orb. A closer look at her would find that she was actually drawing power from the orb itself. Her eyes stayed on him, looking sinister all the while. There were red streaks present in her now free falling hair. The change in her power and form had snapped it out of the ponytail and was now standing halfway upon end, the red streaks glowing in reaction to the surging power. Clap! She brought her hands together now projecting them forward. “Catch…” she whispered The strangest whirring noise and implosive boom was heard. The trees behind her collapsed under the sheer force that seemed to be released as this forced beam of pure red light unleashed itself toward the opponent from her own hands. The land and poor unfortunate plant life were evaporated away as this power boar itself toward the demon and a gleaming light projected itself from that area of the forest. Kasume held her position despite the backlashing force that shifted her feet backwards against the dirt as her clothes and hair whipped around helplessly beneath the surging winds created by the attack. ![]() The woman's defenses were strong. Kenpachi flexed his neck, letting the joints crack and pop. He gripped his sword tightly, even harder than usual, allowing every vein in his right arm to come to the surface as he flexed his muscles. This was good. This was great - this was a workout. He hadn't had a battle this entertaining in a very, very long time. But it still wasn't enough. Kenpachi's left hand went to his face, slowly, almost out of habit. He scratched at the eyepatch on his face, wishing, desperately, to tear it off and show this woman his real power. What had become an impairment he placed on himself for fun had become a curse ever since that damned Youko sealed it onto him. His hand tightened around the band tying it around his face. The patch lifted off his eye ever so slightly - and a searing pain shot through Kenpachi's head. "Bastard... I'll get back to my full strength, one way or another..." Kenpachi grumbled. The girl had taken a surprising number of hits, considering that she hardly looked to be injured. Then again, her defense had been nothing short of superb. Kenpachi himself had taken a few hits, but he had never really been one for defense. The pain just kicked his adrenaline even higher, made him fight even harder. Made him enjoy everything that was going on so much more... That is, until a red orb of light started growing. Kenpachi frowned, looking quite disdainfully at the approaching beam. It was moving quickly - too quickly for him to easily dodge, normally. But he wasn't interested in normally, not right now. Right now, he just wanted to hurt something, or someone, for ruining his battle like that. "Missed me," Kenpachi said - very likely too low for anyone to hear considering the massive attack that was barreling his way - as he placed two fingers to his forehead. While the deadly red attack washed over the area that he had just been, Kenpachi was hurtling through space and time instantaneously, finding himself almost directly behind the girl. He sneered at her, raising the right side of his upper lip and shaking his head. "Pity, here I thought you had some kind of honor." Kenpachi readied his blade, bringing his anger and disappointment to bear on the girl. He gripped the handle firmly as he swept himself forward, bringing his body in a spinning motion to add as much momentum as possible, swiping the cutting edge sideways toward the temple of the woman. As it passed her, he turned it around, actually reversing the handle in his palm with a sleight-of-hand motion and reversing the stroke, bringing it back toward her neck in a backhanded slashing motion. Kenpachi blurred, his disappointment and annoyance so great that as he moved that he didn't even bother to laugh, to smile, to speak. Ki attacks were a sign of weakness, and though Kenpachi was usually one to play around, he would stamp this out wherever he could. His body flashed, twice, once just to the left of Kasume as a wave of pressure and force lashed out from his blade, vertical and deadly, and then again as he appeared on the opposite side, countering the first slash with a perpendicular second attack, horizontally attempting to split Kasume at the waist, both attacks meant to meet right in the middle.

In moments she would understand the results of her blast. No decrease in the target's power level. Pity. She missed. The demon girl planted both feet upon the turf, watching the smoke settle, waiting for the moment she could lay eyes upon him again. The energy had done a good job of clearing away much of the forest. Luckily her sacred cove was in the other direction. Her mind quickly rewinded back to that hour she spent nude in the hot spring. Somehow she yearned for it again. It was going to feel heavenly after all this. For now eyes on target. Where are you, devil? Smoke cleared, vision presented. There he was standing within breath's range of her upon her blind side, not a scratch upon him from the beam. Indeed he had dodged. She actually didn't bother turning her head toward him, a flash of light generated from the snap of red lightning in the sky that formed the background behind her. A breeze tossed her hair to the side as her very being exuded comfortable power. Redness formed a dense glowing pair of circles around her eyes, her pupils glowing as well. Her lips parted slightly showing a bit of hunger as the demon girls's brows hung a bit low. She then closed her eyes and let her lips press each other and form a smirk. "Did you like my warning shot?" She declared it simple as that. Warning shot! The working storm lasted out another bolt of red lightning. This time it whipped the ground just beside her. Her right leg felt the splatter of dirt upon it. The storm responded to her words presenting an element of doom; his doom! She could feel it. She had regressed him to a disgruntled state. Angry be the prey. Shall he start lashing out for his life now? Should he choose to she would be prepared to meet it head on, until the moment she thirsted for was upon them. Emotions bubbling, dare he move to strike once more. "Pity, here I thought you had some kind of honor." Insulting words from the man of the hour; his last hour. That's when she knew. His anger would have him move. Her eyelids lifted, her smirk erased. She spun around meaning to make haste. Plain to see, clear as day...the opponent had spun around, his blade to swing away. She stepped in close, her right knee dropping to the ground, her left hand moving up to meet his swinging left forearm to apply opposing force to his swing. She kept her head hung low and tilted to the side, eyes high...eyes high! Her right palm shot up to his right forearm. There she gave the strike just below the wrist with the heal of the palm. With enough force she'd dislodge his grip on the sword or merely force his momentum into awkward position. Either way, it was a solid sharp rising palm strike to his wrist to deflect the range of motion. More work for the target, desperate to land with a retaliating slice of the sword. As he now had to readjust himself to continue any momentum. But more work for him meant more time for her. As he drew his arm back for the next strike she rose her hands for his wrist giving a twist, attempting to overbear her strength onto his motion again strike with knife hand into the cusp of his arm where bending was capable while she pressed her back against him to keep it straight. With any luck it would be a disable to what appeared to be his strong swinging arm. She did a high jump from there, attempting to parry over him. Her landing was sought to be a good 10 feet away. Continue the chase dear man. His fury would drive him onward. She knew this. But as he turned, he vanished, leaving her with lash-batting time to decide upon an action. Evasion. Her body moved, donning the cloak of invisibility her accelerated speed provided; using it to quickly bring herself around his dangerous slashing technique that aimed to cut her twice it seemed. The demon girl had displayed her witch magic earlier on. Here she displayed her physical capability, determined to make sure the blade never touched her fair skin, let alone slice into it. The clap of her feet was then heard as she placed herself back to back with the prey. Her arms were folded, blackness shading her eyes as her hair hovered over her eyes. The wind danced around them. The thunder clapped above them twice and red lightning danced between the clouds before them. "Honor is for those that don't use ambushing to confront me!" she hissed. Her arms spread apart, thrown out as she wanted. The hands, first displayed flat out now appeared with the fingers bent into claw form and the bangs of her hair lifted. Her eyes displayed to be nothing but glowing red. Her body's glow became more profuse. Her mouth opened and she displayed rage upon her face screeching at the same time she did this. Forcing her elbow backwards twice she attempted to batter his kidney zone before spinning around and attempting to lay a swinging hammer fist upon the side the side of his head. She aimed to keep him close as her hands kept the claw formation. This made it easy for her to strike at him with the brunt of two knuckles with both hands. Her arms went simply AWOL, producing the illusion of eight limbs swinging at him. The two-knuckle jabs came first; one for the nose, the second for the throat. The third for the left kidney, the fourth for the right. She unleashed the next four attacks in the form of knife hands. Thrusting first with the right hand for the temple, then an undercut of the left knife hand for his adjacent arm pit. Then her she proceeded to attempt thrusting her knife hand strikes into his torso, right first then left. She continued to pressure him from there, not even daring to distance herself at this point. Kenpachi's abdomen nearly seemed to implode on itself as he felt the blows coming, both of them powerful, sending jolts of pain up his spine, the electrical impulses lighting up his brain like a Christmas tree. He smirked through the pain - that was when the third blow came and smashed into the side of his head. Kenpachi heard a loud ringing noise like he'd just been hit with an explosion and felt the world around him start spinning a little bit. In a way it helped - as eight quicker, less painful blows rained down, it helped to dull the still extensive and extreme pain. Kenpachi felt the final blow, practically impaling him on the outstretched fingers, and he grunted as the woman withdrew - if only by a few inches. Kenpachi looked up. His mind was cloudy - between rage, pain, and sheer joy, he was really getting into this. He never really thought through much of his plan anyway. His aura flared a little with raw excitement as he charged into battle. "Someone who can light a fire in me like this... I haven't felt so good in a long time... you really know how to fight! I like you, woman!" Kenpachi shouted as he lashed out. His aura swirled around each punch, unconsciously adding a massive force behind each blow, causing every strike Kenpachi threw to carry the weight of a freight train in addition to his normal hits, the air literally exploding each time his fist reached its maximum reach. He struck five times, fairly quickly in succession, each one in a more vital area than the last; he struck at the woman's right shoulder, then her left, then at her organs in a quick uppercut. He drew his right fist back all the way and threw it straight into her chest, aiming for the spot directly above her heart, and then brought his left hand around in a hook, directly at her temple. Kenpachi's eyes were literally glowing, casting a golden light of their own as bright - or brighter - than his aura, bloodlust so evident in them that it seemed to cast a pallor on the otherwise brilliant life around them.

Pace increasing, intensity rising! Her body moved at him. He answered her charge with one of his own. Their speeds intertwined, shifting the direction of the battle's current stature. His actions seeking offense while her body moved quickly upon the defense. The only trace of their bodies were shifting winds generated by their sharp movements and the sudden jerks of the trees within in the forest. To add to this was a speeding trail of dust indicating they moved closely across the ground. One could only wonder how they shifted around such closely nit trees without injuring themselves. The answer: utmost coordination. The demon male would find out quickly how his coordination matched with hers as he kept pace in an effort to catch her in the midst of intended close combat. His first strike snapped out like lightning, the fist embodied with the power of his own churning heated ki. Like something swifter than even the wind she moved, springing off of a single tree with the palms of her hands and the push of her feet, leaving his fist to collide with the stem of the tree. But he couldn't stop there, not if he didn't want to give her the lead to continue her own pacing. No, he must continue to pursue. Even if she was fast enough to evade him. She got the idea he understood this as he continued to chase her. All the while getting to see her swiftly move around the trees like the Homosapien that she was. Adept to maneuvering in a forest setting such as this one, she was attempting to own the battlefield as part of her fighting technique both defensively and offensively. He threw the next like lightning as well. She flipped herself. Colliding impact, again with a tree. She had herself attached to it just above his fist by the hands and feet. The tree snapped under his power and began to collapse. She swung herself using the stem of the tree before it collapsed too fast. Then from there it was time to continue on. "Someone who can light a fire in me like this... I haven't felt so good in a long time... you really know how to fight! I like you, woman!" This battle was filling him with utter glee. Enjoying moments was certainly important enough. Especially when they were possibly their last. Finally a clearing was upon them and she stepped out into it first with him charging full speed. He lunged his fist upward in an uppercut to which she shifted to the side of. But his movements for that moment had proven to be more fluid than hers as she then received the blow to the chest forcing her backwards across the dirt. Her feet were quick to touch the ground. Then she caught it to the temple and literally face-planted into the dirt going sideways. She sat there, letting the dirt settle upon her face while she had her eyes closed. The stinging of the blows were settling themselves as well. Suddenly she moved. Her legs first as she moved to rise up on her knees. Then again she stabled herself with her hands. A decent portion of her hair hung over her face producing a black shadow over her eyes. Her lips were slightly parted as she sat there for a moment. Then suddenly she turned her head toward him. The glowing reds of her eyes shined through the messy mop that was her own hair. She stood up on own two feet as her hands were illuminated by her own power. "Arumente zintazo goreten kosazare..." chanted her voice below the breath. She turned and started moving toward him, her feet picking up the pace to quickly close the distance. "Insurate Irrumeniti..." Hands over face, fingers spread evenly, body sized up to his, energy peaking and space between them quickly receded. Her lips and vocals finished the chant with intense fire and the words, "SOLAR FLAREEEEE!!!!!" She released the words! The words triggered the power! The power triggered the light and the light quickly sought to blanket their position. The light itself could be a beacon to anyone traveling airborne above the forest. She sought to have him right then and there. For the attacks he dealt to her, her was an attempt to return tenfold.
