A faint ghostly light poured forth over the dark landscape in slanted and hazy jets. Standing above them and amongst the darkest of the shadows stood a blacken cloaked figure. The only features visible: the merest outline of his body and the glint of violet energy held in his eyes. The violet orbs shifted back and forth as he beheld the shadowy realm laying before him. Craggy masses of earth hovered in the darkness with seemingly no support. Gravity simply did not touch them. Mounted on their rocky isles sat homes massive in size and complex in structure, a man on any world would pay a hefty toll to live in such an abode. Pouring from their foggy windows was the only light that filled the otherwise abysmal world. Osiris felt right at home while he scanned for an opponent from his rooftop perch. After a few moments he spotted a glimmer of red hued flesh. His pupils shifted and focused in on the shape of a changelings standing near one of the houses in its pale, haunting light. Taking a few steps forward the demonic vessel spread his arms and allowed himself to fall over the edge of the shingled roof and into the seemingly endless night. A few seconds of silence passed. The darkness retracted in horror. Burning with an intense aura Osiris streaked across the chasm between the two islands. The trip did not last long as the pallor warrior slammed his feet into the edge of the island the nameless changeling was standing on. With a great heave he pushed the earthen mass downwards flipping the thing over. As the isle reared up and started to flip over on its agitator, the half demon lunged forward to attack. Hopping the sudden and violent upheaval would throw his opponent off the youth charged ki into his fist. A gauntlet covered hand shot forward to grab the changeling by the shoulder. An instant later the blast punch swung forward aimed at the grey flesh of the alien’s chest. Osiris wanted to generate enough force to smash his rival into the rocky platform as it was almost coming full circle in its rotation. __________________________________________________________ Actions for clarification: Powerfly through all of them. 1. Special attack @ island to flip it over 2. Special attack @ Ayakon - grab attempt 3. Blast Punch @ Ayakon to drive him into the still flipping island. WC: 364 |

Peace. Occasionally the astral realm could be a place of retreat, a place where one could gather their thoughts and meditate, even though the Changeling knew that upon entering the astral realm he opened himself up to attacks from anyone that managed to enter his astral space. While his eyes were closed, a world surrounded him. A shudder at the base of his skull told him someone had entered the area, but his mind was completely blank even in this realm and so he was unaware or unresponsive to such entrances. The Changeling was quiet as a shrouded figure barged towards him. His form remained unresponsive until he was grabbed, at which point his eyes opened wide and he looked into the violet eyes of his opponent. A small smirk spread across his face. The punch to the gut happened too quickly for him to feasibly react, so he flew to the now upturned island. At the last moment, Ayakon flipped around and clung to the surface that, just moments ago, he'd been standing on. As quickly as he hit the ground, he sprang back off of it and aimed a retaliatory punch to his new opponent's face, charging it with ki just as his opponent had done. Whether the attack connected or not, he used the force of the punch to spin around and right himself, putting himself into a proper fighting stance. Without speaking a word, he rushed forward with a total of eight strikes to various weak points of the average humanoid's body, his hands moving with lighting speed and expert precision as though this particular series of strikes had been practiced time and time again. Within seconds of each strike, he repeated it, for a total of sixteen strikes within a few seconds. Whether any of them had connected was yet to be seen, but Ayakon knew where to hit and how to hit it, generally speaking. He hadn't said a single thing, and as long as his opponent didn't, he wouldn't either. He kept himself close to his opponent, trying to keep the fight physical and not get ki mixed up in anymore than it already was. WC: 359 Buku throughout. Free: Take all. 1. Mastered Blast Punch 2-3. Like a statue his face was completely unmoving even as the heavy impact of his punch landed whole heartedly. It wasn’t going to be enough though, not even close. The demonic vessel could feel the resistance of his opponent’s body refusing to collapse underneath the attack. It was exhilarating to know in the first seconds of engagement, this combat would be truly testing. The changeling rebounded off the overturning island rather than crashing into it. His movement’s speaking to practiced skill as every action lead smoothly into the next. Before there was much time to react, the grey alien was mounting an attack with his own shimmering fist. Osiris didn’t move, he didn’t have to. Pallor flesh suddenly blackened and mutated violently. A dull spiny mass of horn like material erupted from the side of the youth’s face, neck, and shoulder creating an impromptu bio-shield. Not a moment too late the fist struck the new growth and was utterly denied a chance to inflict pain as it rebounded off its target. As if the force of the impact had scared it away the mutation receded back into its host’s body taking with it the transferred energy of the changeling’s blast punch. As one horror disappeared another rose to take its place. Unnatural flames erupted from the armored warrior giving everything in the immediate area a strange violet hue. It was the result of Osiris’ immune system burning off the excess Ki. There was no thought, just instant preprogrammed instinct. Amethyst eyes widened as he saw the next attack coming. It wasn’t the slow hey maker he had just been dealt. In fact, the youth couldn’t think of a time he had seen someone’s hands moving so quickly. With reflexes straining Osiris’ arms crossed in front of his chest and his knees came up just in time to try to cover up his most vital areas. Then it came like rain, no, like hail. Over a dozen blows so fast that the half demon couldn’t tell when one stopped and another began. They just kept falling, over and over again. Fighting against the urge to fall back and flee the pallor warrior leaned into the violence of the onslaught. The flames around his body licking hungrily after each blow in an attempt to transfer and spread over another victim. “Enough!” the vicious grow escaped between bared fangs. The flames around the black gauntlets suddenly intensified and then solidified into ruby colored blades. With vicious force Osiris ripped his arms down in an attempt to carve an X straight into the changeling’s chest. He wasn’t sure if he had actually landed the blow, but his feet immediately extended back downwards and spread out into a well balanced stance as the Ki emanating from his feet mimicked solid ground. ______________________________________________________________ Still be flying. 1-2: Resilience+Transmute energy 3-4: Shittily try to block that flurry of attacks----mostly failing. 5?-6?: Ki Sword+ Vast Cross+ Inferno Sabre+ speed teleport - Yeah I am serious. Also, I have a question about that last part actually. Maybe you can clear it up for me. The first action in which Ki sword is formed, it can be attacked with correct? I always assumed it was like blast punch and that as it was formed it was also striking. Not sure, didn't think it would be a huge deal anyway since this is a spar and we are just fucking around, but your thoughts/opinions would be nice. WC: 466 TWC: 830 |

When he was a child, Ayakon had been afraid of fire. Fire is necessary for most living things, Changelings notwithstanding, but growing up on a frozen planet tended to create an unnatural fear of flame. Over time, intense training and time in the Temple of Fire had accommodated the Changeling to the flame. Now, as each and every strike passed through his opponent's burning shield, it only encouraged the Changeling more. It would have been a lie to say he didn't feel the flame threatening to consume him through every strike, but his speed and acquired resistance against the flames gave him the power he needed to surge through until his opponent's forceful shout caused a momentary ceasefire. Ayakon remained still until his opponent solidified a blade around his gauntleted hand. His opponent struck with a quick X-slash across Aya's chest. Fortunately for the Changeling, he knew the same technique as his nameless opponent. As the first bladed attack neared Ayakon's chest, it may as well have ignited an invisible sphere of lighter fluid around the Changeling, as he sprouted his own burning aura, dampening the attack as it crossed through him and only tearing through his armor rather than slicing deep into his chest muscles. The nameless warrior's movement was so quick that this was all the Changeling had time to do. Not giving his opponent the chance to continue, Ayakon rushed forward in a street-brawling technique, attempting to shove his shoulder into his opponent's sternum and knock him off-balance, trying to throw him off of the stance he'd just taken and prevent a prepared attack. He recovered from the attempted half-tackle, placing a firm step on nothing but his ki, as the two of them were still enacting this battle in mid-air. With at least a bit of space created by the attack, he spun around and delivered a back-knuckle to his opponent's jaw with his right fist. Ayakon prepared himself for another attack but before he threw a punch or prepared a tiger claw, his eyes widened and he realized something. Within a few moments, he blurred his speed and disappeared from sight. Because the island wasn't done spinning. WC: 358 TWC: 717 Straight up flizzyin' 1. Transmute part of Ki Sword/Take other damage 2. SA (Bullrush) 3. SA (Back-knuckle) 4. ST+GTFO before the island smashes into him. --- My understanding is that ki sword is a summon, meaning you use it on the turn you summon it. Since you know sword techs and sword techs can be used with ki sword, you can use them on the turn you create your sword. It's no different than drawing it except you're making it. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any evidence of such. Slight edit: That was just a relocation. We can go one more round to both get to 1k+ before we're done with this. Osiris almost smiled as his ki blade flickered out of existence and a body of flames burst into existence. Almost. A well muscled shoulder, burning with the same hot energy that surrounded the demonic vessel, plowed into his stomach. Osiris sprawled his legs to avoid a takedown, as odd as that notion was midair. With a great heave he pushed off the Changeling and back to a more defendable position. His midriff ached with a dull bruise, and stung with a sensation similar to intense sunburn as smoke billowed off his silver breastplate. There was no time to think about that though. Another attack was on its way. An unusual one that almost psyched the well honed warrior out. The grey and red alien spun once more showing off his agility. Everything about the attack screamed ‘tail strike’ to the pallor warrior. His leg lifted bring his knee up to meet his elbow as shin and forearm created a barrier. The balance simply wasn't right. There was no tail strike. Instead, a backhanded punch bludgeoned against the half demon’s wrist and then cheek. With his leg stiffened to take a blow, Osiris had made the mistake of bracing his body against the wrong style of attack. The youth kart wheeled over once and then snapped himself back to a proper position. When the world stopped blurring though, all he saw was the loaming island within feet of him. Sometimes, knee jerk reactions are the best solutions. The half demon felt the ki sword reforming after it had momentarily been drained of its power. Torquing his torso in a half circle a huge arc of blazing energy leapt from his blade. Thin and condensed, the arcing attack swept forward and sliced into the massive chunk of earth. The heat of the flames softening the rock and the hard edge of ki biting into it like mere flesh. A gap opened up between the two halves as the continued their tumble. Shooting forward Osiris laid his body out and snuck through the two foot clearing as a blur of movement. On the other side he ground to a halt digging his heels into the ki enriched air. Turning he watched the island sink into the abysmal darkness below. It was as if the pallor warrior had severed the invisible force holding it in place. It wasn’t hard to find the still blazing figure of the changeling. With another flash of blurred movement he was upon his worthy adversary. The ki sword completely abandoned in exchange to a more personal strike. Osiris brought his right hand crashing down in a hammer fist aimed at the same shoulder he had taken to the stomach earlier. The attack was hidden in no way though. Fast and forceful . . . but blunt. There was an expectation it would be blocked. The amethyst eyes locked with his opponent. The youth nodded his head with a slight air of approval before uttering two words, “Next time.” With that the gem that had brought him into the astral realm flared brightly, dragging him back to reality. _____________________________________________________________ Ballin' in the skys 1. Take first attack 2. Parital block second attack 3. Cut Island in half and ST DODGE! 4. SA hammer fist WC: 518 TWC: 1,348 - oops OOC note: You will take the win for this. It was a nice spar. You can wrap it up how you want and I will change the title before sunday. |

The Changeling's shoulder strike connected about as successfully as he expected, showing that occasionally breaking form could be useful for a sudden attack. The follow-up was more successful than he anticipated, which the Changeling owed to having a tail rather than being successful with his precision strike. With his disappearing act, he had time to float above his opponent and keep an eye on his reaction. Ayakon watched from a safe place above the island as his opponent made quick work of the island. Elimination of the giant landmass happened with a flick of his arm and completely destroyed the threat. The Changeling had barely a second to get back into a ready stance as his opponent relocated to his immediate presence. The sharp tingling at the base of his skull directed him to his opponent just in time to bring an arm up and firmly block what appeared to be a blatant and blockable attack. Ayakon's eyes met the amethyst ones of his opponent and he gave a firm nod to his opponent's statement of another match between the two of them. As the warrior disappeared, Ayakon turned his back on his former location, closed his eyes and crossed his arms, returning to his state of meditation. Next time indeed, my worthy opponent. The world around him crumbled, turning back into the white abyss it had been before his opponent's welcome interruption. With the nameless warrior gone, all the Changeling had was to replay the quick and rough sparring match in his mind. Every blow traded, every move taken was replayed endlessly until Ayakon learned what he could have done to be better. The next time they fought, the Changeling would be better prepared. WC: 283 TWC: 1000 OOC: Thanks man. Good spar. Hopefully next time I won't be so choked for words. |
