((Edit is just adding in the Ref)) [Combat Rune, Battle Recorder] Kularian let out a light sigh as he left the island of the turtle hermit. Roshi had called him to his island, and Kular had arrived, fully ready to train or fight, as those were the only reasons that he knew of that Roshi would ever call him out to the island. However, this reason was actually neither of those, which is something that Kularian was rather grumpy about. He'd showed up, fully energized, ready to go and whomp some people around, when he'd been told differently. Apparently the last time Kular had fought there, against the robot, Rubic, he'd done a grand old job of wrecking the island, and Roshi didn't want that a second time. This time around, he'd called in a favor from a farmer friend of Roshi's that the old man had helped out in the past. The farmer had a wide open field that was, at this time of year, really not being used for anything and so Roshi had asked if they could use it for the battle. The man had been hesitant, but apparently Roshi had agreed to let Kularian be used as a mule for a day to help get the fields back in order. The warrior had balked at that, but he supposed that it wouldn't be all bad. After all, he'd helped Olam back on Namek farm the hell out of his fields, and that wasn't something that was too difficult. In fact, it had actually been kinda fun. He shook these thoughts from his head as he came to see the field below him, and the warrior that Roshi had scheduled for him to train. From the sky, Kularian simply ceased using his Bukujutsu technique, falling down from the heavens as a comet of flesh before he flipped around once, slamming both feet and his fingertips into the ground a short distance away from the other fighter, before he stood up to his full, rather imposing height and smirked, looking over at the male who stood a short distance away. Kular couldn't get a read on his power level which meant either that he was synthetic or able to mask his power level. Either one was interesting. Oi, I suppose you're one of Roshi's students, eh? Kularian asked as he stretched, cracking his neck a few times before he looked over at the male. My name is Kularian, and Roshi asked me to give you a crash course in melee fighting, so here we are. The man ceased his stretching before adopting his fighting stance and then darted forward, throwing a few practice blows at the fellow, just trying to test his reflexes and speed. Kularian was pulling his punches as best he could, at least until he could tell just how strong this guy was.

Goken had not expected to have yet one more thing to do under Roshi before leaving Earth. He expected to leave that very week, but suddenly, the old geezer had come up with some last training exercise for the white-haired android. Something about getting to now true fierceness. Following the master's instructions, the android went to a far away field near to some farm. What will this thing be about? Goken wondered, warming up throwing a couple of punches. He was not one to back down from any challenge, so there he was, standing ready to face whatever Roshi could throw his way. Still, he was poorly prepared for what happened next. A man... or a half-wolf man, to be more precise, landed just in front of him, falling like some comet crashing in the land. Goken was unsure of what that could mean, but had not much time to sort it out. The scouter in his head quickly warned him about something that really scared the usually cocky android. The warrior he was facing was over 120,000 Power Level. What the... he thought, but regained composture before the man introduced himself as Kularian. He quickly threw away his weighted jacket and put on his battle armor, doubting it would do any good in this match. Well, yeah... I'm a student of the old turtle. I was about to leave this place, but I wondered... why not have an extra-special match before leaving? Suddenly, the man was all over him, throwing punches and other forms of attacks. His chance of defending was pretty slim, but the android was willing to push himself to the very limits. He moved as fast as he could and managed to avoid block every hit with quick, subtle movements. The last one was a harsher blow, though, and Goken was only fast enough to dodge it by less than the length of an eyelash, or less. In short, the wild fighter was in a whole different planet in terms of power and skill. Nothing he had faced before, counting both Vlad and Shiruva, could compare. And, worse of all, the man-wolf was holding back a bit. Not like I'm gonna go all sissy now, am I? he asked himself, readying his body for a counter-attack. He tried to slip through the warrior's defense and land a couple of light punches on it's body. After that, he would follow with an uppercut aimed at the feral combatant's jaw. As he approached Kularian, Goken felt a curious shiver on his back. This was the ultimate challenge, he could see now. There was virtually no chance for the white-haired android to take this one with him. That caused him, at the same time, indescribable fear and a wild, pure rush of passion. The risk was so great, so tremendously obvious, the android was now more aware of his life than he had ever been. This is it... I doubt Roshi expected me to win, but I'm sure there's a lesson hidden inside this fight somewhere. Or maybe I just pushed his buttons one time too many... Words: 521 ACTIONS 1- Switch equipment (Weighted Cape off / Battle Gear on) 2- Defend against Weakened Combo 3- Quick attacks x2 (2 punches) [Rest is just describing what Goken would do next]

Kularian's eyes alighted with a renewed vigor as he watched the other fellow dodge and weave his way around the attacks, taking a few glancing blows but, for the most part, staying out of harm's way. That was good. "Not bad, not bad," Kularian said with a grin, ready for the incoming counter attack when it came, a few attacks flickering towards him. He wanted to see just how strong this fighter was, and the power that he had within that frame. Kular still was not sure if the fighter was an android, or simply one that kept their power level cloaked at all times, but regardless, he wanted, needed to see its strength. And then the blow landed, slamming into his chest, and Kularian gave a slight grunt in response. The warrior wasn't bad, but he had a lot of work to do to catch up with the warrior's natural potential. Kular flickered back, then, judging the warrior. "Roshi tells me you've got promise, but so far from what I've seen, you've got a bit of promise, but you need more... you need more power," Kularian finally stated, not sure what else to tell the male. "Roshi can grind you into the ground if you let him, but every training he gives you just readies you for the next step." Kularian briefly recounted some of the chores that Roshi had made him do, the harder ones, that was. "When Roshi kind of figured out that I was strong... one of the first things he made me do was move a mountain that obstructed his view of the sunrise." Kularian smirked, remembering how long it had taken. "It had not been easy, but every time I thought about just stopping, I remembered everything else that had happened and had gotten me stronger." Giving a slight grunt, the warrior shook his head, before looking over at the white haired male. "My name is Kularian, by the way, of the Justice League. We had a movie out, you may have seen it?" he asked, looking over at the other. It was a fair question, as most people had known about the Earth's Defense League of Justice before it became shortened to just the Justice League, and the movie that had been put out had only increased their popularity. There was a time when they worked off that, but not so much anymore. Shrugging, Kular moved himself forward, curious to see what this other had in his ability. "Let's see what you can do!" he roared out, before he flickered forward, throwing a quick flurry of attacks, followed by a hard right hook. From there, he flickered to the side and fired a pretty standard combination that Roshi taught most of his students, before following it up with pivoting straight kick, aimed right at Goken's jaw. "Come on! Show me that Roshi's doing a good job in training the next generation!" he roared out with a grin, eyes lighting in excitement. Even if he was stronger than this other fighter, he'd learned not to underestimate the new generation.

Kularian was fearsome. Period. Very few things had truly caused Goken to doubt, and this was definitely first one of the list. The Top One. He took the hits without even blinking; that was no surprise at all. What was really amazing was his calmness. Even Vlad, back then at their first meeting, had been more serious about the match. This Kular fellow was just... playing. A lesser man would have felt offended by that attitude perhaps a greater man too, but to Goken, that was actually a blessing. He was fully aware that, if the wolf-man unleashed his full power, he would easily defeat, if not completely obliterate, the partially artificial man. After receiving the punches, the feral warrior began to talk about the old Turtle. Goken listened, and then he replied: Well, I doubt he had ground me at all, for he barely spent any time with me. I guess he doesn't like white hair, but, hell, that's his choice. Even if he was joking with Kular, he was nowhere near serene. In fact, anyone would see he was trembling. Maybe not anyone, to tell the truth, but certainly a keen eye would find out the small tremor in his hands. I had to beg, threat and even kidnap a girl just to get him to teach me the Kame-hame-thing. In the end, for some reason, I just could not. Ironic, huh? Then the movie comment came out. At that moment, the android was not really focused, but he remembered watching the flick... or the trailer... he was not entirely sure. Yeah, that movie sounds kind of familiar... I used to think it was just a movie, though. Never crossed my mind the fact you guys really... existed. My fault, actually. I used to be pretty much a jerk back then. Sadly, the conversation ended just there, and Kularian resumed the combat. Goken didn't flinch at his quick moves... not much at least. I could show you better that he trains the next-gens if he had actually spent any time training me! Goken thought. Kularian's attacks found their mark, as the android was just not fast enough to defend against them. This fight, so far, was a bit too one-sided for the taste of the half-machine defender, and it would remain so until he could grow some backbone and begin fighting back. Determined to at least last more than a couple of minutes, he focused on the movements Kular performed next. The combo was something he had seen before, in some other students there on Kame Island. Of course, the guys there were slower and almost doing it as a Kata of some sort, but still, the pattern was well known to Goken. Exploiting that, he was able to somewhat block the hits, that caused some damage even so. Still, better to have sore arms than torn intrails... Then came a taunt. Goken was not in the right mood to come back with a witty reply, but he forced himself to show at least something to the stronger warrior. That said, he needed to get away; Kularian would butcher him if given the chance. And that's why Goken jumped up and away from his rival, charging some energy in his right arm and firing a round of Red Sparks to the man-wolf. The small ki projectiles would not cause serious damage to Kular, but that was not their objective. Goken actually hoped that distracted the man, so he could speed-teleport behind him and punch him in the back. It was kind of cowardly, but... well, Kularian was fearsome. Period. Kularian gave a slight smirk as he heard the man's retort to his. So he had been trained a little by Roshi, but not a whole lot. In fact, from what this Goken was telling him, Roshi hadn't really done much at all for him in the way of training. That was, to Kularian, a little upsetting. The white-haired warrior had potential, that much Kular could tell just from this basic little fight they were having. The man's eyes watched the other, eyes flickering over him. Kularian had no official style, no stance, nothing that in any way resembled an official martial art. Everything that he did, he learned from experience, or from watching others, finding what he liked and incorporating it into his style. And thus, he had since picked up on having a keen set of eyes, able to read his opponent in any way that he could. One of those things that he noticed was the subtle shaking in both the man's fists and his voice- he knew Kularian was powerful, and was afraid. At the other's words of the Kamehameha wave, Kular couldn't help but shake his head. I'm similar in that way, at least I think, Kularian spoke, holding a hand up where ki welled in it before he tossed it upwards, but as soon as it left his hand, it immediately exploded, a puff of smoke appearing in its place. My ki is too volatile to use like a lot of you warriors do. I can't shoot energy out, I can't really do much of anything outside of a good old-fashioned beat down, he said with a grin. Back then? Kularian asked, arching a brow, not entirely sure what this fellow was referring to. Something changed in you, then? he asked, before he saw that the other was starting to get ready for a fight and that is when he had launched his attacks. He knew that the second set of attacks would be avoided; he'd chosen that combination on purpose, but what happened next, he had not expected. The storm of ki projectiles came towards him, and, if it weren't for the constant sparring Kularian did with Rem, he might not know how to deal with it. However, as the repeating energy blasts was one of the Namekian's signature moves, Kular had more than enough experience with it to settle into a stance, his arms splitting at the shoulder, giving him a new set of arms as he batted away the ki blasts, sending them away. However, before he had a chance to do much more, he felt an attack striking him in the back; a heavy blow, even. The warrior grunted, taking a step forward before he turned, striking with all four of his arms as he attempted to knock the other away from himself, before he rushed forward, following up with a grin. Not bad, not bad! Use everything to your advantage! There's little fairness in fighting, especially if ever your life is on the line! If you're fighting to the death, make sure you're not the one dying! he called out. He threw a feint at the warrior, trying to get him to fight how Kularian did, which possibly held a little hubris for him to assume that his own style was the best. He wanted him to react, not anticipate, because in anticipation, you would only be able to avoid or block if you were correct. With reaction, if you saw your opponents' movements ahead of time, and read it as it was happening... you never ended up wrong. To test, as the feint retreated, he came in with a left hand, palm open, aimed at Goken's chest.

Goken needed no more reasons to admire Kularian, but when he saw his arms split and deflect every single Red Spark, he was more than shocked. Now he has four arms? You gotta be kidding! Still, he went on and managed to land a solid hit on Kular. Nothing that would end the fight, but it was something. Perhaps Kularian could bleed too, only that much more was required to hurt him. I guess no one is a god, except gods... an maybe not even them. In any case, Kularian seemed happy with the fact that Goken was not entirely predictable. The wolven warrior had an attitude the android liked. In some way, he identified himself with the feral brawler. When Kularian explained briefly his impossibility to use Ki energy in the way most people he had met by now, Goken was pretty amazed. Not like you need that, anyway. You're something else, man... For a little moment, Goken imagined what would happen if he had the same thing; then he would never learn the Kame-hame-ha. He quickly dismissed the thought. This was not the best moment to ponder that stuff, because the fierce fighter with four arms, and four hands and twenty claws was at it again. A couple of hits. Goken took them, trying to roll with them with little success. Then the fighter went forward and launched a new offensive. Goken's body was bursting with adrenaline; his senses were working at 150% percent, so he had not much problems seeing through the feint. HE blocked the palm, but began wondering how much longer he would be able to keep up. Decided to get the most of himself, the white-haired android threw a couple of hits at the wolf-man's sides. After that, he again moved away from the wolf and used his Optic Blast at full power, hoping that would help a bit. ![]() And the fight is going amazingly well, folks! Very good effort on each side! One the one hand, we have the android, Goken, doing quite a bit of great personal development and a lot of good effort to try and keep his opponent on his toes, regardless of power level difference! On the other hand, we have the alien, Kularian, a beefy melee monster to be sure! While his RP position has been a lot more challenging, he's doing a very impressive job at it! A really hard call to make, but this robotic judge will have to award fifteen silver points to Kularian for this round. Keep it up, battlers! |

Kularian gave a slight smirk as he took in his opponent's style. He wasn't one to let one thing go, and even in the face of a stronger opponent, he was not willing to lay down and die. He was giving his all, even in th eface of adversity, and Kularian couldn't blame him at all. That was how he was. He wouldn't back down from an opponent no matter how strong the bastard was, regardless of how much he was outmatched. He'd let everything go, fight til his last breath because dammit, that's how it worked. The android seemed to launch onto the offensive, there, and took matters into his own hands. He leapt forward, intent on attacking Kularian, but the warrior had felt that, as of now, Goken had seen what could be done with power, had seen where true strength was at and what it could do. And now, it was time to show the android what happened when you took that even further. As the attacks came in, Kularian stepped into them, stepped past them, right into and inside Goken's guard before his open palm slammed out, catching the android in the chest, sending him backwards. "Everything that you've seen until now, Goken, has only been a fraction of my true power." The android seemed to try, in desperation almost, to fire a blast of raw ki from his eyes, aimed right at Kular. The warrior gave a low growl as the blast approached, and then unleashed a resounding howl at the blast, causing the attack to dissipate somewhat, before Kularian inhaled once, and took another breath before unleashing another wave of it, the entirety of the blast fragmenting, breaking apart until there was nothing left but open air between Kularian and Goken. The warrior smirked. "Time to show you what you can truly aspire to!" he roared out as he began to raise his power, the warrior's white aura began to flicker and dance as he let out a primal scream. The entirety of the ground around Kularian began to shatter and crack as he unleashed that might. Kularian did not know control, did not know restraint, and that was reflected in the way that he powered up, a vast undertaking of simple, raw energy exploding outwards in the most unrefined, reckless sort of way. And then it came. Kularian's hallmark, the one thing that made him stand out from everyone else came to pass. "KaioKen!" he roared out, his voice booming with the raw power that his form held as that white aura turned a deep crimson, the man's countenance now enhanced by the red, flame-like aura that surrounded him. "Show me what you can do, Goken!" he roared out, power radiating off of him in uncontrolled waves. "Show me what you can do when you fight against this kind of power!" the warrior roared, before he shot forward then. He had an arm drawn back as he shot forward but just as he was about to strike, he vanished from sight, appearing just behind the other, lashing out with a vicious sweep before he stood and, presuming the sweep hit, while Goken was still airborne, he drove both palms into the man's chest, sending him flying away from himself. Kularian was already there, where Goken was headed towards, waiting for the arrival of his current fight. "This is what you need to aspire to! This is the power that you will need to unleash!" he roared out as the warrior streaked towards him, though not of his own volition as Kularian released a few strikes at the foe, just a quick combination to stop his flight and send him sprawling to the ground. Such was his thought, anyway; he didn't know whether or not the attacks would succeed but given that he was now operating at (close to his) full power...

AS Goken had never ever been a man interested in science or stuff like that, there were few things he knew about how the cosmos worked. How hot a sun was, for example, was a piece of knowledge he didn't had. But he was meant to learn in the rough way, as Kularian was igniting his true power... or perhaps not yet his all, but still more than needed to actually trample on someone such as the android fighter. Goken contemplated in awe how truly mighty was the wolf-man, and how impressive that Kaio-thing was, as his Scouter revealed a huge increase in the power of Kular, right after dismissing his Optic Blast. A moment ago, Goken was faltering, but right now he was completely overwhelmed, only by looking. He knew this was the moment when a wise chap ought to say I yield or some crap like that... but Goken was not a wise chap. He was not foolish enough to think he could win, though... but he was curious about how truly mighty Kularian was. This is the real deal, he says... I wanna know. In any case, he didn't knew that much. The first hit was coming at a velocity that had nothing to do with his previous movements. In fact, Goken almost even failed to notice the hit. In the end, the mighty claws of the man got him at the very first hit; after that attack, Goken's body was forced to divert all it's energy just to keep him alive. He went through the whole, terrible ride that was the man's combo, and when it was over, Goken was just barely conscious. D... He could say nothing more, as he slipped into some kind of sleep that was more like a black fog coming down to him. -DEFEATED- ACTIONS: 1-Got Knocked Out. 2-Stay Knocked Out. 3-Fail to Recover from Knock Out.
