OOC: TRAINING MODE ACTIVATED: Welcome to Alex's DBZ RPG! As this is your first battle in this RP, I will be showing you the ropes on how to properly perform combat on this forum. Notice that all Out of Character (OOC) comments have the 'OOC' tag before them to differentiate. Typically, you start out your post by describing the in-character (IC) events that your character is performing, thinking, seeing, etc. Essentially, this is where you get to weave the story narrative into the combat. I'll start us off. The training area was quite an interesting facility. Typically, the Earth Defense Forces kept an arm's-length of distance away from those warriors that would train on their own, but in this particular case, the Earth Defense Forces took a special interest in an individual named 'Trunks'. Either way, the situation was considered and it was eventually decided to invite the warrior to the Earth Defense Forces Headquarters to spar against one of their androids inside the virtual reality simulator. While the combatants were real individuals, the terrain can be simulated to suit any environment desired. Trunks' opponent, as it turned out, would be their Robotic Bodyguard and Combatant Series Four Model One One android, otherwise known as 'Rubic'. Essentially, the android acted as a security force for the well-being and safety of Earth against various high-powered threats. In a way, the android was being used in this training simulation to gauge the power of this newcomer named 'Trunks' and determine if he was, indeed, a threat to Earth or not. Everything seemed to be two-pronged with the Earth military these days. Once the combatants were in the room, the white-painted robot looked up towards Trunks, analyzing the Saiyan with his advanced sensor suite. Everything from bone and muscle density to estimated combat capabilities ran through Rubic's processors as the android began to formulate possible ways to fully gauge the Saiyan's abilities without bringing him too much harm. In a way, this would also allow the android to test out several new combat sub-routines that he had developed for just such occasions. The android--though the word was relatively mis-used. Rubic was far more mechanical than a regular android--nodded to Trunks. "Greetings. This unit is known as Robotic Bodyguard and Combatant Series Four Model One One. This unit may be referred to as 'Rubic'. This simulation will provide valuable insight into combat capabilities and readiness. Training protocols have been activated. Attention: Safeties are in place to prevent unnecessary injury and harm during this simulation. In order to end the simulation, the word "NOVEMBER" should be spoken in a loud and clear voice. This unit will continue to attack until simulation programming ends or until the safety word is called out," Rubic said. The android suddenly tilted his head to the side until an audible 'click' could be heard. Then, all at once, the android assumed a battle stance. "Begin Simulation." Immediately after that, the android closed the distance between himself and his opponent and lashed out with a pair of punches. ===== OOC: Thus begins our battle. As always, the person with the highest speed is the one to begin the fight, but sometimes, this can by changed...especially in sneak attacks or other special cases. Make sure you speak to your opponent about this. Typically, when you are the first to post in a battle, you will take a -1 penalty to your number of actions. Most characters start off with THREE actions per post. Now that we have the IC section taken care of, it's time to list out our actual actions and other technical data. First, you should lead off with what actions you are taking. The following is what Rubic will be performing: ACTION 1: POWER UP (to Full Ki). ACTION 2: Two Quick Attacks (Punch + Punch) OOC: As you've probably noticed, you're getting attacked, but that's okay. There are multiple ways you can avoid or mitigate damage, either through blocking attacks, dodging them, or even countering them. In this particular case, however, I would suggest blocking the attacks, but it is up to you. Then, after that, you can respond by a few of your own physical combo attacks as well! As you might have noticed, most characters typically start off with 75% of their ki...which also means they start off with 75% of their power level as well. Now, in order to operate at your full ki and power level, you will need to spend an action to POWER UP. Some folks wait until later on in the fight since the lower your ki is, the lower the drain on your stamina is for using ki attacks, but we'll go over that soon enough. Now, speaking of stats, make sure you copy and paste your current stats into the field below your actions PL: 40972 KI: 20486 SR: 5186 SP: 5201 TU: 5356 SA: 4956 VI: 4988 OOC: Once you have your stats posted, its easy for people to reference them and get a general determination on how the ebb and flow of battle might go. Now, you will need to list your equipment that you have equipped on your person: Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) OOC: Most of Rubic's gear is mostly irrelevant at this point, since they only amplify training rather than in-battle stats. So I only listed those that actually influence the battle. This is also where you would list prepared items--or, items that you have with you in case you wish to use them during the course of this battle. For a training battle, there's not really any reason to have readied items, but feel free to have a few with you just to get into the practice of doing so. Now it's your turn! |

Trunks had arrived in the past only a day before getting an invitation to the Earth Special Forces building. He had never heard of the ESF in the future. That either meant it never existed, thus time had already changed, or they were not that important. He thought about this a long moment. He concluded there might be other options; after all, he did not know everything about the past. He never had a history book to study from or access to the galactic web. The world was already destroyed by the time he came around. He decided that maybe the ESF might be of some help to him and so he set out to meet them. At the very least he could decide if they were worthy of his trust and could help him, or they would be a burden. He knew that he was not a very powerful Saiyan, but he also knew that he could become a force to be reckoned with. That was one of the reasons he allowed his mother to send him through time. He could potentially prevent the apocalypse and he could train. Training to higher levels than he was at now brought about to much attention in his time, but not here. He would be the strongest Saiyan that ever lived. He arrived at the building and entered a room. The assistant that lead him to the room told him the test was one everyone had to go through. He felt his eyes squint at that, what test? There was an android standing in the room with him, giving out instructions. He called himself Rubric. Trunks could feel a chill running down his back; could this be where it all began? Suddenly, Rubric was rushing at him. The speed the android came at him was impressive, far faster than he ever expected. Rubric first punched slammed into his shoulder, and for a moment he thought it was going to give out on him. By pure luck he managed to block his second attack, though it did not feel much like a block. The power of the blows made him take a step back, as he struggled to not stagger completely off balance. He knew at that moment he had to give it everything he had. There would be no room for error. He tensed his muscles and raised his power to the max. He stepped in towards rubric and threw a punch and an elbow of his own. Action 1: Block half of action 2 Action 2: Power up [to full ki] Action 3: Two quick attacks [punch + elbow] OOC: First off, thanks for doing this with me, I am learning a lot. Second I just have two questions atm. 1, how do we determine damage and 2, if I were to use an attack that uses ki, does that effect my power level since it is a drain? If so how does that help or hinder my stats? PL: 3,784 Ki: 1,892 SR: 433 SP: 443 TU: 1,128 SA: 518 VI: 433 Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) |

OOC: No problem at all! I'll give you the lowdown on using ki attacks here in a moment. It was strange to Rubic how now there was another 'Trunks' in this world. He had already met one pink-haired Saiyan before named Trunks, but...this one was computing as slightly different. Older, wiser, perhaps. Not precisely stronger, if his scouter was anything to go by, but there were some hidden variables in Rubic's scans that were not processing properly. Perhaps that had been the power surge that the Earth Defense Forces had detected earlier yesterday; The possibility of a time traveling individual was not grossly improbable, after all. In fact, the probability that this individual was from the future was relatively high at eighteen percent. However, there were other probabilities that rivaled it as well. He would need far more data to ascertain who this individual was and where he came from. A clone was just as probable. Regardless, the android calculated a very high chance of success against his opponent, but he was still caught off guard a little bit by his opponent's counter attack, the android raising an arm to ward off the punch and elbow. The blows were not exactly impressive--Rubic was made of titanium, after all--but it still forced the android to take a step back from the blows all the same. With that, the android, pushed forward once again, lashing out with a pretty powerful kick towards his opponent's mid-section to throw him off balance. Then, Rubic followed that attack up with multiple attacks from his fists! ===== ACTION 1: Block Trunks Action 3 ACTION 2: Special Attack (Kick) ACTION 3: Quick Attacks (Punch + Punch) OOC: Okay, let me explain how ki attacks work. There is no precise way to calculate damage; That is for the referee to decide. Suffice to say that the higher DR (Damage Rating) an attack has, the more inclined you need to be to either try to block it or dodge it. There are some techniques that can block ki techniques which might be worth investing into. Now, to calculate battle fatigue, however, you simply do thus: 1) Take your ki stat (current level, either 75% or 100%). In this case, your 100% ki stat of 1892. 2) Select a technique. In this case, your only offensive technique is energy dan. 3) Multiply your ki stat (1892) by the ki cost of energy dan. In this case, it would be 1892 * 7%. So in your calculator, you would press 1892 * .07. 4) In this example, the number would come out to 132.44. Ignore the decimal numbers (.44), so that you get an even 132. 5) You now subtract 132 from your Stamina. Stamina protects your other stats from being drained whenever you use ki. Therefore, your stamina would go down to 386. Starting out, you can't use a whole lot of ki techniques until you've built up quite a bit of stamina. Therefore, its very important that you build up stamina during training. 6) After using Energy Dan, you would effectively be at 93% ki. So, if you wish, go ahead and use Energy Dan against Rubic for one of your actions just to go through the motions and steps. Once you get into the flow of battles, this will become second nature to you. PL: 40972 -> 42432 KI: 20486 -> 21216 SR: 5186 ->5206 SP: 5201 -> 5221 TU: 5356 -> 7174 SA: 4956 -> 4976 VI: 4988 -> 5008 Damage Taken: 2x Blocked QAs (Opponent's STR: 433 * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (level 5) + 4 Trophies OOC: It's usually a good idea to list out the various attacks you've blocked or taken damage from in a 'Damage Taken' column like what I've done here so that the referee can determine damage as he sees fit. As you see above, I've added my Battle Bonuses from equipment into my stats using an arrow. This lets the referee know whats going on. It's very important that everything you do in a fight is clearly annotated for both your opponent and the referee so that there's no confusion going on. You'll also notice I listed my Fighting Style as well. Typically, anything and everything that can influence a battle has to be listed in your first post of a battle, but I'm introducing things slowly to you so you don't get lost. Essentially, the Defensive Fighting Style improves Rubic's toughness even further, as do the four trophies. You can see how small boosts here and there can make a difference in stats. Well, now it's your go! |

Trunks was not quite sure why this machine was trying to fight him. Well, he guessed it did not really matter at this point, he could find out the details later when this match was over. It seemed like Rubric was analyzing him and his abilities. He knew that probably would not help the Earth Special Forces opinion of him, seeing that in this time his power was not vary high. It was his lack of real training that was his downfall. He never really had anyone there to show him the ropes. Still, he had the heart of a Saiyan and not just any Saiyan, but he was a descendant from the royal line. He would give this little battle everything he had. Everything was required of him now. The android had thrown off his attacks like they were a child’s play thing. Rubric was coming at him again, ready to attack. Trunks was just barely able to get away from a kick towards his midsection, but the unrehearsed movement of avoiding the attack caused him to stumble slightly. He couldn’t avoid the two punches to his chest. The blow was painful; even more so with the knowledge that he was wearing pretty good armor. He wasn’t sure that he would be able to fight this machine. The difference between them was too great. He remembered a code word the machine said to say, in order to stop the fight. He hesitated for a second. His mind was made up, he jumped back and high into the air, gather what energy he could muster. He rained down a small fury of blue energy beams towards Rubric. Dirty was flying up into the air as he landed, not sure quite where his foe was. For some reason he could not sense where Rubric was. Action 1: dodge action 2 Action 2: Energy Dan Action 3: None [could think make this fit within the story] OOC: So do I show the drain from the Energy Dan and recalculate my Ki/Pl? What did you mean by I’ll be at 93% ki? PL: 3,784 Ki: 1,892 SR: 433 SP: 443 TU: 508 -> 1,128 SA: 518 VI: 433 Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Damage Taken: 2 QAs (Opponent’s STR: 5,206 *90% From armor = 4,685) |

The attack had been, quite honestly, a little unprecedented for the android. He knew that attacking an enemy from below with an energy technique was typically a smart tactical decision, but the android was unable to identify the technique until the individual known as 'Trunks' was in the middle of using it. Rubic himself had the technique in his repertoire of abilities as well, though there was clearly not enough distance for Rubic to use the technique to counteract Trunks' attack. Therefore, Rubic defaulted to the next most plausible method of stopping the attack. As such, small nodes across Rubic's metal body lit up with green light until a small sphere of energy surrounded the android. "Activating Reactive Shields," The android declared in his synthetic, grating, and metallic voice of his. The blasts from Trunks' technique impacted harmlessly against the barrier the android had made for himself, the android remaining perfectly still until Trunks was finished with his attack. Now that the Saiyan was finished, Rubic raised his right arm towards his enemy's position, a small gun of some sort emerging from his forearm. ACTIVATING ENERGY BLASTER With a sound that was akin to an energy shot, the plasma bolt emitted a shrieking sound as it left the barrel of Rubic's arm and towards Trunks. Rubic was able to see through some types of smoke and debris due to his advanced sensory suites, particularly in this case. It was a very speedy attack, though not very powerful. Once again, Rubic was here to test Trunks' abilities, not to overly injure him. With that, Rubic fired the energy blaster again in Trunks' direction. ===== ACTION 1: Reactive Shielding to block Action 2 ACTION 2: Mesposo ACTION 3: Mesposo OOC: Essentially, you would show the fatigue of your own attack with something like the following: PL: 3,784 -> 3,652 Ki: 1,892 (93%) SR: 433 SP: 443 TU: 508 -> 1,128 SA: 518 -> 386 VI: 433 You'll notice that your Stamina is going down with each successive Ki attack you perform. While your Ki doesn't actually go down, you only have 100% to use in fights. That's why, periodically, it's wise to use POWER UP to keep it high as possible so that you will always have ki to use. If your ki reaches 0%, you cannot use Ki Attacks until you POWER UP again. Like I said, your Ki stat doesn't actually go down, but remember that your Ki usage is limited by your Stamina. If you run out of Stamina, you can still perform Ki attacks, if your Ki is above 0%, but the drain that would normally affect your Stamina affects ALL of your other stats as well. Bear this in mind when getting into a protracted Ki battle against opponents. Now, your Ki stat never actually changes, but your Power Level does. So, as above, you would reduce your Power Level by the same amount you lost in your Stamina. It's a little confusing, but you essentially have TWO Ki stats. One is the actual hard numbers, and one is the Percentage (%). The percentage (%) is what you have available during battles and this starts out at 75%. Starting out, however, the actual number stat is, indeed, at 75% (so at the beginning of battles, your Ki and PL actually start off at 75% their normal stat number. Once you power up for the first time, however, it will go to full. The higher your power level, the greater the damage output of your techniques. PL: 40972 -> 42432 KI: 20486 -> 21216 (98%) SR: 5186 ->5206 SP: 5201 -> 5221 TU: 5356 -> 7174 SA: 4956 -> 4976 VI: 4988 -> 5008 OOC: Now, you will notice Rubic's Stamina did not lower even though he used Ki attacks. While his ki still went down, androids such as Rubic do not take fatigue damage the way organics do, meaning that instead of his Stamina limiting his ki attacks, Rubic's ki usage is based strictly off of his % of ki. Instead, Rubic's Stamina effectively acts as a second Vitality stat for taking damage. This is important to note in the event you go up against androids in the future, as they are tougher to take down and have a far larger window to work with Ki. Androids still have to keep using POWER UP in order to keep their Ki % up as high as possible in order to keep using Ki attacks, however. This is a lot of information to digest, so let me know if you need something explained. Damage Taken: 2x Blocked QAs (Opponent's STR: 433 * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (level 5) + 4 Trophies |

Trunks waited for the smoke to clear, slightly uneasy that he could not pinpoint Rubric’s location. It had to have something to do with him being a machine; there was no other way to explain it. He knew this would be a perfect opportunity for a surprised attack, so he was hyper alert for anything. He had never felt such tension, but this was really his first fight. He was trying to be alert, but not so alert that he would miss anything. He knew that he had to keep his focus. He did not see the beam. Nor did he hear it. Rather he sensed the energy coming at him, clearing its way through the smoke. In that split second he realized that he could not sense the machine, but he could sense the energy the machine produced. It was not a comforting advantage, but something was better than nothing. He had just enough warning to respond to the beam. He was able to smack it aside, but another beam slammed into his knee. He was fairly sure Rubric wasn’t trying to hurt him right now, but it was far more painful than the android probably meant for it to be. Trunks realized that he needed to train hard if he was going to fight any mechanical creature. The machines from his time had to be three or four times Rubic’s power. It was no wonder they were able to destroy his world, his future. He breathed deep and controlled his breath on the way out. He was not sure he had much left to offer this fight, but he would go down swinging hard. He rushed in clearing the smoke away with the speed of his movement. He found Rubric, closing the gap with a kick, and then throwing a punch. He did not want to give him a chance to use energy again, so he made a grab at him. Action 1: Deflect [1/1] action 2 Action 2: Quick Attack [kick + punch] Action 3: Attempted Grapple PL: 3,784 Ki: 1,892 [93%] SR: 433 SP: 443 TU: 508 -> 1,128 SA: 518 - > 386 VI: 433 Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Once his initial salvo had been fired off, the weapon extending out of Rubic’s arm recessed, retreating inside Rubic’s forearm again and allowing him full control of his right hand again. However, just as this occurred, Trunks rushed through the smoke, his kick slamming into the android’s metallic chest, causing the android to stumble back a few steps before taking a fist across his ‘jaw’. At this point, the opponent closed in for close quarters combat, and the android decided to comply. The android seemed to excel fairly well in these tight confines of melee combat anyway. Rubic stepped in towards Trunks, throwing out a series of punches and elbows towards Trunks’ chest and midsection, mostly looking to wear the Saiyan down rather than heavily injure him. Against most Saiyan opponents, it seemed like the more they were hurt, the angrier they became, resulting in their power levels to change. This was what Rubic was hoping to provoke in order to get the most accurate reading of Trunks’ approximate power level for study and analysis. After all, if he was a threat to the Earth, it was probably far better that he be identified now rather than later. This way, they could at least analyze his combat style and act accordingly. One his barrage of melee attacks was finished, Rubic would attempt to uppercut Trunks against the jaw, hopefully throwing Trunks into the air and onto the ground on his back. ===== Take A2 and Initiate Grapple ACTION 1: Two Quick Attacks (Punch + Elbow) ACTION 2: Two Quick Attacks (Elbow + Punch) ACTION 3: Two Quick Attacks (Punch + Punch) ACTION 4: Two Quick Attacks (Elbow + Punch) ACTION 5: Special Attack (Uppercut!) Excellent, you started a Grapple. This is as good a time to explain them as any. Of course, they’re discussed on the website, but if you have any questions concerning them, let me know. Essentially, everyone in a grapple will gain +2 actions, but they all have to be physical attacks or blocks (for the most part anyway). This means that ki attacks cannot be used in a grapple, meaning Rubic can’t keep pounding away at you with Mesposo or anything similar to that. Good call. Note, that even if you start a grapple, your opponent gets the first say in it, so it can be a little risky, unfortunately. Remember, Special Attacks (such as Rubic’s Uppercut) only has a 50% chance to hit, but if it does, it causes Stun which can end the grapple and leave you open to an attack. Make sure you block SA’s while in a grapple (or some other form to mitigate them). Trunks realized he made a horrible mistake by trying to make this a physical fight. He had never been really strong and going up against Rubric, who had so far bested him at everything, was not working out well for him. Before he could make a move he was hit four times, two in the chest, and one to the side of the head and once to the check. He was trying to maneuver but the attacks kept coming. He realized Rubric wasn’t just using his fist, for his check was defiantly struck with an elbow. Another four blows came at him. He managed to block to punches coming at his face, but an elbow caught him in the arm and that was enough distraction for Rubric to get a quick punch in on his face. He saw and uppercut coming at him and just barely managed to get out of its way. He needed to respond now, before more blow came at him. He knew for certainty that he could not survive another round of fury like that. He threw four punches at him, giving him every ounce of strength he could possibly muster. He realized this was a do or die tactic, but it was his only option left. OOC: I forgot to mention this last time, but essentially, after each participant has posted three times in the battle (and every other three times as well), the Referee will post the RP award. What this does is that, if you’re out-RPing your opponent and you get the award, you will receive +15% to all stats. In some fights, it might not mean much, but in closer battles, it can mean the difference between victory and defeat, so always make sure you’re putting your all into RP’s during battles Most of Rubic’s initial assault appeared to be successful, despite Trunks’ best efforts to ward off the android’s attacks. It was clear how much the Saiyan was struggling with the fight, and slowly, the probability of victory climbed higher and the overall combat rating for Trunks went down. It was clear to Rubic that the man he was facing off against was not going to be any kind of threat against Earth—especially when the planet had defenders like Rubic on guard—but there was still something else. Trunks’ tenacity was not exactly uncommon, but after that punishing assault, Rubic had estimated a forty percent chance his opponent would surrender. Oddly enough, his opponent merely went back on the offensive, slamming powerful blows towards Rubic. The android raised his arms in a cross pattern guard, the first punch slamming into his metallic arms without a problem. Then came the second. The blow managed to create cracks—very small ones, really—in Rubic’s plated armor. Already, Rubic was detecting damage reports across his systems from the blows, but he stood fast and took what was coming. Then the third blow landed. Deeper cracks emerged across Rubic’s armored arms, the damage reports revised and resent to Rubic’s central processor for analysis. WARNING: DAMAGE TO EXTERIOR ARMOR AT 50 PERCENT WARNING: DAMAGE TO INTERNAL STRUCTURE AT 10 PERCENT WARNING: DAMAGE TO INTERNAL ARM SYSTEMS AT 10 PERCENT WARNING: DAMAGE TO ARM MUSCLES AT 10 PERCENT Then the fourth blow came. The blow was strong enough to make a sizeable dent in Rubic’s right forearm armor, the crack splitting down the entirety of the arm section of armor. Rubic was forced to step back a step or two, already revising his power level estimates of the warrior known as Trunks. He could put forth quite the effort when he needed to, apparently—but the damage done was no where near enough to incapacitate the android. WARNING: ARMOR BREACH ON RIGHT ARM. INTEGRITY AT SEVEN PERCENT. WARNING: DAMAGE TO INTERNAL STRUCTURE AT 40 PERCENT. WARNING: DAMAGE TO INTERNAL COMPONENTS AT 20 PERCENT. WARNING: DAMAGE TO ARM MUSCLES AT 30 PERCENT. With that, the android moved his arms away from his head and chest, armor fragments falling off his arms, revealing whirling gyros, synthetic myomer muscles, electrical components, and even parts of his Carbon-Nanotube skeletal structure. But the android was not finished yet, and the simulation had not finished either. Rubic responded with his left arm, the hand curling into a fist. All kinds of mechanical winds and noises emitted from the android’s arm as he retaliated with a single, powerful blow! ACTION 1: Block A2 ACTION 2: Block A3 ACTION 3: Block A4 ACTION 4: Block A5 ACTION 5: Special Attack [Power Slam] Base -> After Battle Bonus -> After RP Bonus (if any) -> After Damage Report PL: 40972 -> 42432 -> 51434 KI: 20486 -> 21216 (98%) -> 25717 (98%) SR: 5186 ->5206 -> 5986 SP: 5201 -> 5221 -> 6004 TU: 5356 -> 7174 -> 8250 SA: 4956 -> 4976 -> 5722 VI: 4988 -> 5008 -> 5759 Damage Taken: 2x Blocked QAs (Opponent's STR: 433 * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) 2x Unblocked QAs (Opponent’s STR: 433 * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) 4x Blocked SAs (Opponent’s STR: 433 * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (level 5) + 4 Trophies You'll notice that you now have an action advantage over Rubic in this Grapple. It's not exactly a big advantage, but now he's only able to dish out one or two attacks to your three or four. Gaining an advantage that way is always a risky sacrifice, and typically, you'll want to take one or two attacks at a time rather than a lot all at once in order to better manage the damage, but in this case, you're doing quite well. |

Trunks could feel the harden exterior of Rubric bending under the force of his blows. He knew, however, that it was not enough to ensure a victory from this battle. The only thing left to gain was a horrible crushing defeat, and he knew now that could come at Rubric’s pleasure. He had learned a lot for his first battle, concepts that would save his life in the many battles that were sure to follow. He was still unsure if Rubric and him were future allies, but he would have to thank him nonetheless for the experience he gained here today. Suddenly Rubric slammed a fist into his stomach, cracking the armor and sending him flying backwards. He coughed up blood and realized that Rubric had been holding a lot more back than he had realized. He stumbled to his feet, knowing that his opponent had just dealt the victory blow in this match. He nodded his head towards the machine and said, “You have pushed me beyond my limits. Thanks, I think I have learned some critical survival skills today.” He smiled and then ushered the key word to this confrontation, “November.” He knew the battle was sure to end now, but at least he was alive. OOC: Yep, that's perfectly fine, as far as I know. Some people might be sticklers about it, but I personally don't see a reason to keep posting battle stats when the fight is over. Congratulations on your first Training Battle! I hope this Training Battle has given you lots of insight and information on how to battle on this website, and I look forward to seeing more of your exploits! With the safety word spoken, the Android ceased all movements, as if he were a statue for a few moments, until the android seemed to relax its stance and let its arms hang at his sides. "Training Simulation Complete. This unit hopes you have gained valuable experience in this combat scenario," The android said in his unfeeling, emotionless, and synthetic voice. To say Rubic was devoid of emotion was probably right on the mark; He was purpose built for combat and training, not conversation. Still, he bowed his head towards Trunks as protocol required. "Shutting down simulation room and combat protocols. Receeding to combat readiness green. Have a nice day," The android said. At this moment, the android was instructed to leave the simulation room and go to the repair station for a needed tune-up and repairs. Even if this battle had been no real threat to his well-being, the android had obtained quite a bit of valuable combat data from the Saiyan. Even if Trunks was inexperienced and otherwise relatively untested, today allowed Rubic to re-evaluate certain systems and outputs for later revision. At the very least, Rubic would be far more prepared for Trunks if the event ever arose that he became a threat to Earth. Doubtful, however. From Rubic's calculations, Trunks would be nothing but a boon for Earth's Defense. Perhaps... When the android left, a medical crew came in to escort Trunks to a bed as well as help him with any injuries he might have. Of course, they were apologizing profusely, saying that Rubic was just a robot and did not have concepts like emotions or empathy. After all, he was just a dumb machine. Pay it no mind...
