OOC: TRAINING MODE ACTIVATED: Welcome to Alex's DBZ RPG! As this is your first battle in this RP, I will be showing you the ropes on how to properly perform combat on this forum. Notice that all Out of Character (OOC) comments have the 'OOC' tag before them to differentiate. Typically, you start out your post by describing the in-character (IC) events that your character is performing, thinking, seeing, etc. Essentially, this is where you get to weave the story narrative into the combat. I'll start us off. Personal fame and expertise aside, the Earth Defense Forces was probably just as big of a fan of the legendary Hercule Satan as any other organization or person on Earth. Indeed, his renown was so well-known and respected that he was practically regarded as the leading guardian of Earth--for the most part, anyway. So, when the Earth Defense Forces offered to help Hercule train by allowing him to battle against their currently top-rated security android--or otherwise known as the Robotic Bodyguard and Combatant Series Four Model One One android--it became almost a gesture of good will for the hero of Earth. Even if the legendary Mister Satan turned them down, it was still one of the many, many messages he likely received on a day to day basis. Rubic, himself, was oddly unsure of why exactly he was going to engage in a training simulation with Hercule Satan. Of course, the android had a personnel file on the individual, noting his conquests and notable achievements--but the reason why was still something of an elusive piece of data for the android. Still, at the end of the day, all Rubic needed were instructions and commands, and when he received his orders to engage in a training drill with the Legendary Hercule, the android agreed and prepared for the battle. Of course, Hercule was known for hardly going anywhere without being followed by a large amount of press, so the battle was expected to take place in a relatively public location, just beside one of the great lakes of Earth. Not an overly impressive battlefield, but Rubic supposed it was selected for its aesthetic value. The android prepared himself for combat nevertheless, eventually activating all of his combat systems and routing power to them. When Hercule arrived, the android merely nodded in greeting before speaking. "Greetings. This unit is known as Robotic Bodyguard and Combatant Series Four Model One One. This unit may be referred to as 'Rubic'. This simulation will provide valuable insight into combat capabilities and readiness. Training protocols have been activated. Attention: Safeties are in place to prevent unnecessary injury and harm during this simulation. In order to end the simulation, the word "LEGEND" should be spoken in a loud and clear voice. This unit will continue to attack until simulation programming ends or until the safety word is called out," Rubic said. The android suddenly tilted his head to the side until an audible 'click' could be heard. Then, all at once, the android assumed a battle stance. "Begin Simulation." ===== OOC: Thus begins our battle. As always, the person with the highest speed is the one to begin the fight, but sometimes, this can by changed...especially in sneak attacks or other special cases. Make sure you speak to your opponent about this. Typically, when you are the first to post in a battle, you will take a -1 penalty to your number of actions. Most characters start off with THREE actions per post. Now that we have the IC section taken care of, it's time to list out our actual actions and other technical data. First, you should lead off with what actions you are taking. The following is what Rubic will be performing: ACTION 1: Power Up! ACTION 2: Activate Tiger Claw Stance OOC: Power Up increases your ki and power level from their base starting condition to full (when used for the first time). Tiger Claw Stance is a type of stance that can be learned. Each stance does different things, but all require an action to activate. As you might have noticed, most characters typically start off with 75% of their ki...which also means they start off with 75% of their power level as well. Now, in order to operate at your full ki and power level, you will need to spend an action to POWER UP. Some folks wait until later on in the fight since the lower your ki is, the lower the drain on your stamina is for using ki attacks, but we'll go over that soon enough. Now, speaking of stats, make sure you copy and paste your current stats into the field below your actions. Make sure that everything that gives you a battle bonus to stats is listed in this section, like so: Base -> With Battle Bonus PL: 51150 -> 52710 KI: 25575 -> 26355 SR: 6452 -> 6472 SP: 6562 -> 6582 TU: 6643 -> 8806 SA: 6222 -> 6242 VI: 6258 -> 6278 DET: 393 -> 393 CHA: 391 -> 414 INT: 854 -> 859 OOC: Once you have your stats posted, its easy for people to reference them and get a general determination on how the ebb and flow of battle might go. Now, you will need to list your equipment that you have equipped on your person: Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (6) + 4 Trophies OOC: Most of Rubic's gear is mostly irrelevant at this point, since they only amplify training rather than in-battle stats. So I only listed those that actually influence the battle. This is also where you would list prepared items--or, items that you have with you in case you wish to use them during the course of this battle. For a training battle, there's not really any reason to have readied items, but feel free to have a few with you just to get into the practice of doing so. Now it's your turn! |

Hercule jetted along in a small private air craft. It was himself and four other hired agents inside of the metal bird. Sitting next to the window, on the right side, he peeked out and looked at another ship that was flying parallel to them. On the side of the following orange craft, in bold black letters, read: ZTV. Herc smirked at the site of it and then turned his head, facing forward once more. He hadn’t told a soul about the special training that he was undergoing through the help of the Earth’s Defense Forces, but somehow the media managed to find out. They were very good at doing that. And, even though the afro capped hero loved the attention, he still found the constant surveillance annoying from time to time. “Sir, we’ve almost reached Lake Supreme,” shouted the helmet wearing pilot from the cock pit.” Mister Satan simply nodded in response and carried on with his in depth thoughts. Ah, Lake Supreme, I remember it well. I couldn’t think of a more perfect place for this exercise. That deep blue water and mountainous horizon takes my mind away every time I see it. The wide open shore line, with massive boulders randomly jutting from the ground, and those tall timbers clustered about and all around the lake, I can’t wait to see it all again. He carried on with his memory all the way up until he felt the rumble of the plane as it began to land. The tall, mustached Earth hero unbuckled himself and stood from his seat. He walked a few feet to the back of the plane and began taking off his weighted training gear, stripping down to just a brown loin cloth. He kept his battle axe strapped to his back which was held on by a leather strap that wrapped all the way around his hairy, bare chest. He was primal and savage like with a wild look across his face. He’d never felt more ready or more determined for anything like this before. As the current world martial arts champion and the defender of planet Earth, he owed it to the people to take this training seriously and get as strong as he possibly could; always striving to do his very best. As the private jet screeched to a stop, Hercule was already at the door waiting to exit. He raised his naked leg, his knee almost touching his bulging pectorals, and jacked it forward, bursting the oval hatch from its hinges. Jumping from the craft, he landed in a low, golem-like, crouched position. He scanned around the area, searching from left to right, until his eyes fixed upon an android that was standing over by the lake shore. It had to be it, Herc thought as he took off toward it. He was told that he would be meeting up with an artificial training partner and that was about it. There was no clue as to how strong this thing would be or what his name was or anything, but the earth fighter knew one way to find out. Satan galloped like a mutant all of the way over and leaped upon top of large boulder that was just several feet from his opponent. Low and behold, a camera crew and several journalists were right on the champ’s tail, not missing a single beat of the display he was showing. Playing to their ever watchful eye, Herc turned around with a big, cheeky smile, and gave a thumbs up to his fans that were watching at home. The media crews ate it up and began gawking back at forth at one another. “Wow, the champ has gone cave man on this one,” spouted one of the suite wearing yuppies. “I know! Isn’t this great,” spat another. The champ turned his attention back to the android which then started speaking, captivating all of the eyes and the cameras that were huddled around the battle field. He listened to the mono tone robotic voice, but only understood very few of the words like; its name being Rubic and LEGEND-which was a safe word or something like that. The greetings and instructions didn’t last long, but Hercule was sure the droid was finished by the type of fighting posture he assumed. The proud hero of the earth then stood real tall and straight, still mounted atop the cumbersome protruding rock that he had first latched onto. He resembled a tall and bold statue of a Greek god as he stood there, hands clinched tightly beside his hips, his muscular body, chiseled and mostly naked, and his afro and crotch cloth flowing with the lake side breeze. Hercule Satan raised his finger and pointed it directly at mechanical fighter, making all of the cameras zoom in on his majesty. They could feel it; tough and inspirational words were on their way and they were going to catch every single one. “Alright guy,” the champ said with his finger still pointed and chest puffed out like a robin. “I’m not too sure about all of what you said, but that’s not important. I’m here to train and get stronger on behalf of all of the people on this planet. For your assistance and experience here, I thank you as does mother Earth. So ready yourself Rubic, because I’m gonna come at you with all I got… That’s a promise!” The champion of the world wasted no time starting the bout and launched himself from the raised stone and toward Rubic. His bare, right foot led the charge and rocketed forth aiming for the target’s chest. Directly following the powerful drop kick, Herc planted that out stretched foot forefront and just inside of his opponent’s firmly planted, metal boot, shifting all of his weight forward and into his next attack; two quick jabs. The blows were intended for the left and right cheeks of Rubic, and Hercule sent them straight ahead as fast and as hard as he could. Stances do not take an action to activate. Rubic is not correct in stating this. He technically wasted an action there, just letting you know, stances are free actions...such as supressing/unsupressing among other things. Continue. Rubic, if you told your last training battle a stance takes an action please ensure you let him/her know differently. |

OOC: @Broli, ah, interesting. I had not known that part. I did not touch on stances with my previous trainee, but hey, learn something new every day, I suppose. The android had been largely stoic for much of the Great Hercule's entrance. This was not because the android was not impressed; Rubic was incapable of emotions or empathy. He simply was not designed with the purpose of regular human interaction in mind. He was, in the truest sense, a war machine, a construct built for the sole purpose of battle. Thankfully, his developers had had the foresight to design the android with a training mode, allowing the android to spar, battle, and train other warriors if necessary. Such as the case today. Hercule then stated his intention to give this battle everything he had, which was a relatively efficient method; After all, most organic beings needed to push their limits in order to become stronger, and if that was why Rubic was present at this training session, then so be it. The android literally did not have much of a care in the world except his orders. Regardless, Hercule wasted no further time, immediately jumping to the offensive, the legendary martial arts master leaping towards the android with a powerful flying kick. Even now, the android's computational abilities were at work, calculating trajectories, probable force of the kick, and a whole manner of other variables near instantaneously. His robotic brain was like a torrent of activity as thousands of calculations were made in order to react appropriately to the attack. At the last moment, Rubic sidestepped the flying kick and lashed out with a punch towards Hercule's bare chest--nothing overwhelming, of course. The android was still attempting to measure up just how powerful this warrior was as well as what his physical limits were. It would not do to inflict unnecessary harm right out of the gate. Of course, the martial arts master was likely not to underestimated, the man still managing to lash out with twin punches towards Rubic's head unit, causing the android to take a step back before re-engaging Hercule. The android followed suit, lashing out with his own pair of jabs before finishing out his relentless attack with a round-house kick towards Hercule's mid-section. ===== OOC: Excellent, you went on the offensive! As you've probably already seen in the battles section of the website, most physical attacks are done with physical combos, such as a pair of QUICK ATTACKS or a singular SPECIAL ATTACK. Such attacks are usually based off of STRENGTH and are a good way to soften up a target or--if you have a high enough strength stat--really wear them down. ACTION 1: Counter A2 (Punch) Free: Take A3 ACTION 2: 2 Quick Attacks (Punch + Punch) ACTION 3: Special Attack (Roundhouse Kick) OOC: You will notice that Rubic countered one of your attacks. As described on the website, you will have a number of counters during each battle. These counters allow you to mitigate an enemy attack (usually blocking or dodging it) while allowing you to make a follow up attack in the same action. Counters are useful for preventing damage to yourself and inflicting damage against an opponent, as counters are very difficult to avoid. As you take damage, your vitality will decrease--however, there's no set formula for determining vitality damage from taking hits. As such, it is typically helpful for Referees (the ones that actually determine the damage) to list what attacks have damaged you and how powerful the blows were. I'll list the damage I have taken below so you can see an example of it. Keeping a list is just generally useful for a Referee so he can estimate just how far down you are in vitality. Base -> With Battle Bonus PL: 51150 -> 52710 KI: 25575 -> 26355 SR: 6452 -> 6472 SP: 6562 -> 6582 TU: 6643 -> 8806 SA: 6222 -> 6242 VI: 6258 -> 6278 DET: 393 -> 393 CHA: 391 -> 414 INT: 854 -> 859 Damage Taken: 2x Unblocked Quick Attacks (@ 1050 STR * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) OOC: Don't worry too much about the damage that Rubic can inflict--many physical attacks can be avoided or blocked for reduced or no damage. Just because Rubic has used POWER UP, does not mean he's using his stats to full effect as he tries to figure out how tough Hercule really is. Some opponents may not give you the same luxury, though, so make sure you stay on your toes! In Rubic's case, not only is he more focused on efficiency (least amount of output for greatest effect) but he also has programmed safeties in place to prevent unintended injury. Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (6) + 4 Trophies OOC: So, since Rubic is attacking Hercule, feel free to dodge or block or take attacks as appropriate. You will notice that taking damage does not take up an action, so if you're planning a complex set of attacks, you might have to take a few blows to have the actions to do it. This might also be a good chance to use Hercule's DYNAMITE KICK as well! Now it's your turn! |

Rubic's Roundhouse kick sent the champ flying backwards. Herc's bent back led the way with his arms and legs straight out and following. After several feet of the painful soar, he touched down and rolled and flopped until he slid to a halt, tilling the green grass everywhere his body touched. It took a second for him to stand up, but an enthusiastic smile covered his face as he did so. For some reason, unbeknownst to him, he rather enjoyed the blows from the robotic opponent. It had to be due to the lack of competition as of late. Petty crooks and week martial artist were all that the hero had been able to come across and it was beginning to become boring. The android in front of him though was different though. Though they were only a few blows in he could tell this was going to be interesting. "That was very good," Hercule said, wiping a trickle of blood that ran from is bursted lip and down to his stubley chin. He took a second, regaining his fighting stance, and thought about the previous series of attacks. He learned very quickly that a head on attack wouldn't work so well. His punches connected with the droids chin, but it seemed to hurt Herc's knuckles more than his opponent. Rubric retaliated so fast that he couldn't remember if he was struck by one punch or two; a sign of a good fight brewing. Mr. Satan wasn't sure, but he felt as if the android, Rubric was holding back either some or most of his true power. It was hard for the human to tell since his energy detection was no use on an artificial. Though he couldn't sense it's strength out he could always feel it. Hercule knew he would need to perform at his peak if he expected the training bot to act accordingly. He dropped his fists by his hips and clenched them tightly, his veins bulging by consequence. His teeth gritted and showed with his lips curled upward and his thick eyebrows crunching together. A low rumble of a growl sounded from his core and bellowed out of his mouth, gaining volume and grit every second he held the roaring note. He felt his powering surging. Every fiber in his body reached its maximum, but he wasn't finished. Herc kept pushing his limits, still yelling and clinching his bulging muscles tightly until an explosion of white, translucent ki exploded from within side of him. The flaming energy lapped up and utterly consumed his body. The flames spewed wildly and gave a visible image of what was going on with the energy inside of him. It was very intense. "If at first you don't succeed, try again," he screamed as he charged forth at Rubric, kicking mulled grass high into the air from his bare foot shoving off. The aura enveloped fighter sped forth heading directly at his opponent. His eyes were narrowed and focused in on his target, but his mouth brandished a sneaky smile. He had something planned, something that would hopefully catch the adversary off guard. Reaching a short span of about five feet, the champ exclaimed loudly, "Dynamite Kick!" And, before the words were even finished, Mister Satan had teleported at maximum speed to end up behind the metallic combatant. He sent the signature kick right toward Rubic's spine, hoping his second kick proved successful. If so he would obviously scream, "detonate," which would initiate the explosion of ki that the attack was known for. When Hercule managed to regain his footing, the android began to walk towards his opponent. It was not a method of intimidation, really, as the android was not really built for that function, but it was more to close the distance while conserving as much power as possible. After all, there were those that could hide their true power levels from Rubic’s built-in Scouter, so it was merely procedure for the android to observe his opponent as much as possible to determine his true fighting potential. Even now, Hercule was rating at around forty five hundred fighting level. Respectable, and quite above the normal average for really any human being on the planet, but to be perfectly frank, it was no threat to Rubic. However, the android needed to see how high that fighting level could go. As if his wishes were answered, Hercule began to focus his own energy and an aura of white surrounded the warrior. The android stopped walking for a moment, his sensors ablaze with new information that needed to be processed, including the quickly-rising power level the android was detecting. Five thousand…Six thousand…Just over Six thousand, two fifty. The android was, honestly, a little surprised by Hercule’s jump in combat capabilities, and when the hero of Earth started to charge towards Rubic, the android lowered himself into a fighting stance once again, ready to fight his opponent. However, just at the last moment, the android raising his arm to block the incoming attack, Hercule’s visage flickered and disappeared, only to reappear behind the android. Rubic was not quick enough to react to that change of position, unfortunately, and the powerful kick (and resulting explosion) forced the android through the air and onto the ground, roughly ten meters away from where he had been standing a moment before. Damage results poured over Rubic’s vision as he was given accountability of all that had been damaged: ATTENTION: REAR BACK ARMOR DAMAGE AT EIGHTEEN PERCENT. ATTENTION: REAR BACK MUSCULATURE DAMAGE AT TWELVE PERCENT. ATTENTION: SPINAL INTERNAL STRUCTURE DAMAGE AT TWELVE PERCENT. ATTENTION: INTERNAL SYSTEMS DAMAGE AT TEN PERCENT. A whole slew of such information was fed to Rubic’s consciousness, the android processing the information in less than a second before the android reacted and responded to the damage. He lacked the internal damage repair systems that some androids possessed, but Rubic was nothing if not rugged. He quickly sprang to his feet before turning his torso towards Hercule, one arm raised towards his opponent. Rubic’s left arm, clenched into a fist, was pointed straight at Hercule, and nothing happened for a quick moment until the rocket thruster on the back of Rubic’s forearm ignited, sending the arm straight towards Earth’s warrior hero like a missile. Regardless of the success of the arm projectile, Rubic immediately then raised his right arm, a small device folding out of that particular arm to reveal a small gun barrel. ACTIVATING ENERGY BLASTER. In the next instant, Rubic fired off a particularly weak energy shot—more to see just how tough or agile Hercule was than anything else. It was a very quick, if very weak, energy shot, more suited to helping take down enemy infantry or helicopters rather than skilled martial artists, but it would be a challenge nevertheless. After that, the android ran towards his opponent and lashed out with another lethal punch from his remaining arm === Free: Take A3 ACTION 1: Rocket Punch (DR1, Speed and Strength Doubled For this attack only) ACTION 2: Mesposo (DR1) ACTION 3: Special Attack (Heavy Punch at 50% Strength) OOC: Okay, let me explain how ki attacks work. To calculate battle fatigue, you simply do thus: 1) Take your ki stat (current level, either 75% or 100%). In this case, your 100% ki stat of 6258. 2) Select a technique. In this case, you are using Dynamite Kick along with Aura. We’ll just combine these for now, though you are accurate in how much % of ki you have used. Very good! 3) Multiply your ki stat (6258) by the ki cost of Dynamite Kick and Aura. In this case, it would be 6258 * 3%. So in your calculator, you would press 6258 * .03. 4) In this example, the number would come out to 187.74. Ignore the decimal numbers (.74), so that you get an even 187. 5) You now subtract 187 from your Stamina and your Power Level (but your Ki stat stays the same). Stamina protects your other stats from being drained whenever you use ki. Therefore, your stamina would go down to 566. Starting out, you can't use a whole lot of ki techniques until you've built up quite a bit of stamina. Therefore, it’s very important that you build up stamina during training. 6) After using Dynamite Kick and Aura, you would effectively be at 93% ki. Essentially, you would show the fatigue of your own attack with something like the following: Power Level: 5,726 -> 6,258 -> (After Fatigue) 6071 Ki: 2,863 -> 3,129 Strength: 784 -> 1,050 Speed: 708 Toughness: 673 Stamina: 753 -> (After Fatigue) 566 Vitality: 653 You'll notice that your Stamina is going down with each successive Ki attack you perform. While your Ki doesn't actually go down, you only have 100% to use in fights. That's why, periodically, it's wise to use POWER UP to keep it high as possible so that you will always have ki to use. If your ki reaches 0%, you cannot use Ki Attacks until you POWER UP again. Like I said, your Ki stat doesn't actually go down, but remember that your Ki usage is limited by your Stamina. If you run out of Stamina, you can still perform Ki attacks, if your Ki is above 0%, but the drain that would normally affect your Stamina affects ALL of your other stats as well. Bear this in mind when getting into a protracted Ki battle against opponents. Now, your Ki stat never actually changes, but your Power Level does. So, as above, you would reduce your Power Level by the same amount you lost in your Stamina. It's a little confusing, but you essentially have TWO Ki stats. One is the actual hard numbers, and one is the Percentage (%). The percentage (%) is what you have available during battles and this starts out at 75%. Starting out, however, the actual number stat is, indeed, at 75% (so at the beginning of battles, your Ki and PL actually start off at 75% their normal stat number. Once you power up for the first time, however, it will go to full. The higher your power level, the greater the damage output of your techniques. In this case, you’ve listed the % correctly, excellent! Base -> With Battle Bonus PL: 51150 -> 52710 KI: 25575 -> 26355 (98% Ki) SR: 6452 -> 6472 SP: 6562 -> 6582 TU: 6643 -> 8806 SA: 6222 -> 6242 VI: 6258 -> 6278 DET: 393 -> 393 CHA: 391 -> 414 INT: 854 -> 859 Damage Taken: 2x Unblocked Quick Attacks (@ 1050 STR * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) 1x Unblocked Dynamite Kick (DR 1 w/ 1050STR, 3129KI, 6258PL) (*90% due to Saiyan Armor) OOC: Now, you will notice Rubic's Stamina did not lower even though he used Ki attacks. While his ki still went down, androids such as Rubic do not take fatigue damage the way organics do, meaning that instead of his Stamina limiting his ki attacks, Rubic's ki usage is based strictly off of his % of ki. Instead, Rubic's Stamina effectively acts as a second Vitality stat for taking damage. This is important to note in the event you go up against androids in the future, as they are tougher to take down and have a far larger window to work with Ki. Androids still have to keep using POWER UP in order to keep their Ki % up as high as possible in order to keep using Ki attacks, however. This is a lot of information to digest, so let me know if you need something explained. Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness. Decreases damage dealt to you in battle 10%.) Arms: Saiyan Gauntlets (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Legs: Saiyan Boots (Increases toughness by +200 in battle) Fighting Style: Defensive (level 5) + 4 Trophies |

Hercule was confident and all smiles. He stayed ready in his fighting position as he watched his opponent smack face first into the ground. It was a direct hit and it worked exactly as the Champ had planned, but not well enough to knock the droid out of the fight. Quickly bouncing to his feet, Rubic turned toward the earth guardian and pointed a balled fist at him. Satan was baffled at first. Why was he trying to through a punch so far away? He then heard a noise that sounded similar to an ignited fire cracker. He raised a brow and squinted his beady eyes, trying to figure out what was going on. Before he even realized it, a metal fists with just a foot from his face. "Awe man," he said, realizing there was little to no time to react. The quick thinking hero reached out with both hands and did the only thing he could do, intercept the rocketing hand. It was better than letting it pummel his beautiful mug, he thought. Herc planted his feet firmly into the soil below and locked his elbows tight and grabbed the speeding fist with all of his might. "SHMACK," sounded the colliding hands. Even though Mister Satan's grip was tight and his stance real strong, the hurling fist was not stopped. In fact, his hold was so well that he was carried along with the fist on its course and all the way into a very large rock. The crash was explosive, sending chunks of rocks everywhere. Hercule's grip was set loose and landed him in the rubble he helped create. Herc was on his back a top chunks of broken rocks, but he wasn't able to stay there long. He urgently felt sensed an oncoming attack and quickly rolled to the right just saving himself from being fried by the energy ball. He exited the roll with a slight hop that landed him back on his feet. He looked rough having multiples scratches around his body and his tattered loin cloth hanging on by a thread, but he reassumed his fighting pose. Just as he raised his fists to eye level and clinched them tight, Rubic had already made his way over. The powerful android unleashed a devastating punch that Hercule had no prayer of dodging or blocking. All that he could do was take it and fly with its momentum. The Champ soared up and away a good twenty to thirty feet. He vanished into a thicket of trees were he was abruptly stopped by a massive tree truck. "THUD," sounded his limp body as it slowly oozed down to the thick and rooty base of the mighty oak. His breath was heavy and his consciousness seemed as if it was trying to fade out. He'd never been hit so hard before in his life. Out of no where, thunder crashed and rain poured from the sky. The loud godly clap of thunder snapped Herc from his daze. He looked up, receiving droplets of water from the overhanging branches above; it was refreshing. He was already exhausted and bumped up pretty good already. The thought of quitting felt nice, but he knew he had to press onward. Reaching up, Satan latched onto the chunky tree bark and shakily pulled himself up and on his feet. He leaned against the thick trunk for few seconds, regathering his scrambled thoughts. It was a good thing that this was a training battle. Had it been a real fight, his opponent was sure to have already made his way over to the hurting fighter. Hercule assumed the bot was waiting for a retaliation. "Well, here we go," he said as he pushed off of the over sized plant. Hercule ran as fast as his newly acquired limp would permit and darted out of the woods. He charged so fast and so hard that he made it back to Rubic in no time. Using his forward progress to carry him further forward, the Champ swiftly dropped to the ground and baseball slid right at the android's feet. He didn't stop there though and used his momentum to spring up with a sharp knee to the abdomen of Rubic. Whether or not the knee was successful, Herc's next attempt was to lock up with the artificial and try to grapple with it. Hercule wins the rp award. If you want me to calculate damage, i shall...but get with rubic and try to come to common grounds on the subject. A ref, in a perfect world, should only have to give out an rp award. If the two parties cannot come to an agreement about the rules/damages/stat calculations. That is when you ask my ruling on such things. Continue, or pm me about making a ruling on damages... |

OOC: Excellent, you've won the RP award, Hercule! What this does is that it increases all of your stats by 15% (or just multiply everything by 1.15 in your calculator). While in some battles, the RP award might not be that great of a bonus, but in other fights, it can mean the difference between victory and defeat. In those types of fights, always give it your all! As for damage, dude, don't worry too much about it since we're in a training battle, but if you want, we could just say Hercule and Rubic are down to 50% vitality. No worries. Rubic had done the calculations and ran the numbers. By his estimates, Hercule was likely quite fatigued and possibly quite injured, especially when he attempted to stop the android's rocket punch attack like that, and the sheer blow Rubic slammed against Hercule was nothing to scoff at either. It was highly likely this match was slowly coming to a close, and in fact, probability was determining a ninety percent chance of victory for the android. There had been no real question of that, really...after all, he was the strongest android ever built by the Earth Defense Forces, and while Rubic was incapable of feeling emotions such as pride, it had been, after all, carefully calculated. Even then, however, Rubic slowly approached Hercule, giving the man at least some time to get back onto his feet. This training session would soon be over, perhaps, mostly due to the spectacular landing the martial arts master had performed when he was sent into that rock. At that moment, there was thunder and clouds above, and the android looked up, noticing the precipitation falling from the sky. Oddly enough, the android must have lost track of time during their battle, as the rain clouds had already moved in from the North. Perhaps here was not the optimal location for a battle... At that moment, Hercule was charging towards the offense. Rubic immediately assumed his fighting stance once again. Once Hercule was in range, Rubic lashed out with a vicious haymaker and-- Only for Hercule to slide underneath the android and slam his knee into the android's abdomen, causing the android the stumble back a few steps. There was an impressive dent in Rubic's mid-section armor, cracked and caved, right in the center of the android's torso, and once again, the android's vision was filled with the incoming damage report...but it was not long enough to overly distract Rubic from the fight at hand. At that moment, the Earth's Champion moved in for close combat...an area Rubic excelled at. With the martial arts master at such proximity, Rubic lashed out with a series of vicious punches, elbows, jabs, and knees to try and wear down his opponent. The aim was not to overly injure Hercule, but rather, to just wear him down until he was ready to stop. == Free: Take A2 ACTION 1: Two Quick Attacks (Elbow + Jab) ACTION 2: Two Quick Attacks (Knee + Punch) ACTION 3: Two Quick Attacks (Punch + Jab) ACTION 4: Two Quick Attacks (Knee + Elbow) ACTION 5: Special Attack (Uppercut) Excellent, you started a Grapple. This is as good a time to explain them as any. Of course, they’re discussed on the website, but if you have any questions concerning them, let me know. Essentially, everyone in a grapple will gain +2 actions, but they all have to be physical attacks or blocks (for the most part anyway). This means that ki attacks cannot be used in a grapple, meaning Rubic can’t keep pounding away at you with Mesposo or anything similar to that. Good call. Note, that even if you start a grapple, your opponent gets the first say in it, so it can be a little risky, unfortunately. Remember, Special Attacks (such as Rubic’s Uppercut) only has a 50% chance to hit, but if it does, it causes Stun which can end the grapple and leave you open to an attack. Make sure you block SA’s while in a grapple (or some other form to mitigate them). Base -> With Battle Bonus PL: 51150 -> 52710 -> (After Damage) 49571 KI: 25575 -> 26355 (98% Ki) SR: 6452 -> 6472 SP: 6562 -> 6582 TU: 6643 -> 8806 SA: 6222 -> 6242 VI: 6258 -> 6278 -> (After Damage) 3139 DET: 393 -> 393 CHA: 391 -> 414 INT: 854 -> 859 Damage Taken: 4x Unblocked Quick Attacks (@ 1050 STR * 90% due to Saiyan Armor) 1x Unblocked Dynamite Kick (DR 1 w/ 1050STR, 3129KI, 6258PL) (*90% due to Saiyan Armor) Body: Saiyan Armor w/o Shoulders (+500 Toughness + 12% toughness.

Hercule's head and body jolted violently from the android barrage of attacks. It was as if he were being slaughtered by a machine gun and that's exactly as his body felt it not worse while the jabs and elbows and punches struck. The champ could do nothing but go along for the ride and he did so until Rubic's last blow arrived, which was delivered in the form of a swift uppercut. The champs limp and tattered body lifted and soared through the air. He reached a peak height of at least fifteen feet and continued his aerial flop until a distance of fifty was reached. Mister Satan's body crashed hard upon the earthy soil and bounced twice before coming to a mangled, pretzel-like rest. The champ lied there still and unconscious for a minute or two. Thousands of dreams race to his head; he could have live four life times in his stupor. His dreams were vivid and happy until everything went white. Satan struggled opening his one, unswollen eye. For a second he was unsure of where he was, but slowly and surely it all came back to memory. He coughed as he tried to speak, "Hack! Legend." His words were barely audible. He hope his training partner would be able to make them out. Being in the state he was, he surely couldn't take another assault like that one again. The battered hero tried mustering all of his strength just to stand up, but it was no use. He smirked as he wriggled his arm from behind his head and down to his loin cloth which was somehow still attached. He pressed a small red node that was linked to the rope around his hid. The little red light began to flash and with that being his last and final action, he sprawled back and waited for the chopper to arrive. WC: 314/2,656 |
