Chapter 1: The Reunion
Aimee begins her quest with Ru'ketal. It begins with her experiencing a reunion with her father and being introduced to her younger self. The chapter ends with them all hugging each other and enjoying a family moment.

What I was listening to when I wrote this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG2o3wWtrsU

-------

"I promise to unlock your psychic potential if you can endure my mental attacks," said The Legendary Soothsayer Ru'ketal.

Aimee took a deep breath. She nodded, gently.

"Let us begin." The Wise Man then glanced to his right. The voice of a giggling young girl could be faintly heard. Aimee heard the voice as well and turned her head to have a look as well. She saw nothing but forest around them. No light. No silhouettes in the darkness. No movement.

More giggling could be heard behind the trees ahead from an unseen girl. It was getting louder. Aimee looked at Ru'ketal and shot him a curious look. She saw that he was still looking in the direction of the voice. Suddenly, a girl popped out of the forest and stepped into the moon light. She was running towards them. Aimee squinted her eyes and was taken aback by what she saw.

No, it isn't possible. It can't be

Her suspicions were confirmed when a second person stepped from out of the forest, a person she was very familiar with. She put her right hand to her mouth and felt emotions well up inside of her soul.

"I'm going to get you! I'm going to get you!" The voice of Aimee's father cried out as he chased after the younger Aimee Matsuyama. He wore a blue dress shirt and jeans while the younger Aimee wore a white dress.

"Daddy no!" She said happily, laughing as she tried to run away from her father.

"I remember this." Aimee muttered under her breath as she watched on. "This was one of my earlier childhood memories. I was five years old and playing we were playing hide-and-go-seek." Aimee smiled, beaming at the nostalgia.

Aimee's father caught up to his daughter, grabbed her and picked her up, and rose her high into the air. He spun her around while he held her in his arms. They were both laughing and smiling together. Mr. Matsuyama then put her on his right shoulder.

"Time to go home and see your mother. Dinner should be ready soon."

"Okay daddy! I smell something good!"

"Yeah, must be that rib she is cooking up. Did you have fun today?"

"Yeah!"

The older Aimee ran up to them as they were about to leave. The temptation to get a chance to talk to her father was too much. This experience was too emotional for her. She hadn't seen her dad in years, and missed him very much.

"Dad! Dad!!"

Mr. Matsuyama turned around and looked at the older Aimee. "Can I help you?" He asked.

"It's me, your daughter!" She said, tears flowing down her face.

"My daughter?" Mr. Matsuyama replied, confused.

The younger Aimee shyly hid behind her Dad's legs and peeked out from behind them.

"Daddy, who is that?"

"Do I know you?" Mr. Matsuyama asked, curiously. He put a hand to his head, and rubbed the back of his hair.

"Yes! I'm your daughter. I haven't seen you for so long!"

"My daughter is right here." Mr. Matsuyama replied, looked down at the younger Aimee. "Sorry, I don't know you."

"It is hard to explain."

"Come to think about it, you both have a striking resemblance." Mr. Matsuyama looked at both the younger Aimee and the older one. He then looked back at the older Aimee. "Are you really my daughter?"

"Yes!" Aimee looked down at her younger self, smiled and crouched down on one knee. She extended her hand out to her younger self. "Don't worry. I'm you, at least when you are fifteen years older."

"Really?! You are so pwetty!" Replied the younger Aimee, smiling. She stepped out from behind her father's legs and gave her older self her right hand.

"Nice to meet you!" Both Aimee Matsuyamas shook hands. They both smiled as they both finally were introduced to each other.

"What about me, your father, hmmm?" Mr. Matsuyama put his right hand on the top of the older Aimee's head and rubbed her hair.

"You haven't done that to me for a long time." Aimee then embraced her dad with a bear hug. "I missed you so much!" Tears streamed down her face.

"Has it been that long? Come on, I must be around when you're older. Your old man wouldn't just fall down and die." He replied, hugging her back and holding her in her arms while she cried. He comforted her and they enjoyed a peaceful silence between them. The younger Aimee joined in the hug as well and hugged both her father and the older Aimee from the side.

"I love you dad," said the older Aimee.

"I love you too, my daughter."

"I love you both!" said the younger Aimee.

Chapter 2: Father and Daughter quality time
They reach Mr. Matsuyama's house, who sends his daughter ahead of him while he and the older Aimee catch up on some things. He hears the story of what happened to her after he passed away and he challenges to a sparing match using their gems of telepathy

"I have so many questions I want to ask you!" Spoke Mr. Matsuyama to his older daughter. "First, how are you even here? Why don't you come join us for dinner. Your mother will want to meet you!"

They started walking back to the forest.

"I-I'm not sure how to explain," replied Aimee, glancing back at The Wise Man, who no longer appeared to be there. Aimee suspected this was all part of the mental attacks that were being sent her way and she was curious about how this would unfold. Still, she enjoyed her moment with her father while it could still last and decided to just go along with the whole simulation and keep him in the dark.

"What I don't get is how come there are two of you. I've been with my daughter all my life and I never had dreamed of an encounter like this. Did you travel back in time?"

"You could say that."

"I'll take that," He replied with a grin, winking. "By the way, do you still have the pendent that I gave you?"
"You mean this?" Aimee took out her neckless with the green gem of telepathy in the centre. She showed it to her father. He smiled.

"I continued our family traditions after you and mom passed away."

"That's great! Want to have a go when we get home?"

"Sure. I'd love that!"

They entered the forest and walked down a marked path that took them away from The Wise Man. Soon a light appeared in the distance. Soon they were in the clearing. The setting was no longer that of the Forest Of Illusion, though it was beside the house. On the other side of the house was a view of Earth as Aimee had remembered it. There was the mountains and a view overlooking the horizon and a valley off in the distance.

"I remember this house. We lived here and would always train in the forest in the ways of our clan and family traditions. Then we would come home and eat a great meal that mom cooked," spoke Aimee out loud as she reflected on her past.

"Aimee, why don't you run on ahead and tell your mother we are arriving home. I want to speak to your older self privately about some things."

"Okay!"

Younger Aimee ran to the house, leaving both the older and her father alone for some catching up to do.

"You said I passed away? I don't want my daughter to know about some of the things you may want to tell me. She is still a child and has much to learn."

Aimee smiled and reflected back to her childhood memories of her father.

"This is weird, considering I remember exactly what you were like when I was a kid. I remember you as being a very loving and happy father, yet you kept me in the dark about many things until I was about two years older. Yeah. You passed away after mom died."

"My wife died?! How!"

"By a fire. We came home one day and our house was on fire. After that day you were very cold to me and extensively trained me in ways of our heritage. You taught me everything. You may have taught me how to sense ki at this age in order to find you if I ever became lost or how to use the gem of telepathy, but it wasn't until a year or two later in which..."

Mr. Matsuyama smiled and he put a hand on Aimee's shoulder. "I don't need to know anymore about how your mother and father died. I need to know how how things turned out for you. It will put me at ease."

"Well, after you passed away I continued in our traditions for some time. I grew up alone and was independent. Then when I became of age I went to school and graduated. After I graduated I joined the West City's police force and also worked out of the East City's local department as well. I had a few boyfriends. Eventually I was dispatched to an island, where I found out that there are people who live on other planets. I took part in this epic battle, and when it was over, this man named Raiosu and I formed a team called Earth's Z Warriors. I then quit the force and sought out training with a renowned master named Roshi. He revealed to me that you also trained under him. I became very strong and continued to work with the local police forces of East and West City. One day I encountered a very strong individual who caused chaos, destruction and mayhem in West City. I defeated and saved the people from further trouble. Eventually I trained under a renowned individual named Kami, used The Room Of Spirit Of Time, and fought against an odd-looking creature, who I ended up killing. A lot has happened since I was a child. That sums up a lot of it. I used the gem handed down from our fathers as a means to contact my alliance mates who are spread out through the galaxy."

Mr. Matsuyama's mouth dropped. He stood there speechless. He then smiled and put his hand on his daughter's shoulder. "I'm proud of you. You have done well. And I can sense that you are quite strong too. You must be hiding your true power if you trained under Roshi-sensei as well."

"Yeah, you're right about that."

"Show me your power. Let's have a quick session."

"Okay." Aimee took hold of her gem of telepathy and activated it with her mind. She watched as her father took hold of his gem of telepathy and did the same thing.

Chapter 3: Aimee Matsuyama vs Mr. Matsuyama (Round One)
Aimee and her father begin their match on Kame Island. It begins with Aimee going on the offence and her father defending. They exchange physical attacks in a close combat match and fail to land an attack on each other. After gaining some distance between them, her father goes on to the offensive and uses a speed teleport to get to her side to unleash a few physical attacks. Aimee relies on ki sense to react to his speed and movements, and after countering with a round house kick, he father blocks it and pulls her off balance. He then uses fires a kamehameha wave while she is still in close proximity and lands is successfully. Aimee was forced to unsuppress some of her power level and rely on kiai in order to block out most of the attack

Aimee found herself on Roshi's island with her father. Within their proximity was the Kame House. A gentle breeze brushed past them and she could hear the waves crashing against the beach's sandy shores.

"Kame House, eh." Aimee said, grinning.

"I thought we'd have a father-daughter moment here. Then we can relax in Sensei's house and chat inside. I always wanted to show you this place but never had the chance."

"Well here we are, together."

Aimee bowed before he father, who did the same thing. She took a few steps away from him before turning around and dropping into a generic fighting stance. She raised her forearm guard and moved most of her body weight on to her back leg.

"Ah, the "L Stance". I haven't taught you yet. You have good form." Mr. Matsuyama dropped into the same stance as his daughter. "Let's see what you can do."

Aimee took a deep breath, closed her eyes and cleared her mind. She was only at a tenth of her power, which worked out to be five thousand battle power. It was the same as she had remembered her father to be at.

"I remember," Aimee said opening her eyes and looking back at her dad, "that you were this strong. And it seems you still are."

"This should be fun."

Aimee leapt forward into a full spring and headed for there dad. She sent out a fake jab for his face, then used the momentum to bring up her left leg and swing it as a round house kick for his face. Her father moved his forearm to block the fake and quickly used his other hand to block the kick that came his way. Now in a good position to attack, he took a step forward and shot his right hand out as a jab for Aimee's face. She blocked it with her hand and stepped backwards. Both of them exchanged punches and blocks before breaking away to get some space between each other. Both fighters dropped back into their respective stances.

Mr. Matsuyama then leapt forward and glided through the air towards his daughter. Aimee could sense his fast movement and presence arriving to her left side even though her eyes could see that he still had yet to reach her. She side stepped away and moved her left arm to her side to block what she could sense was an imminent attack. Aimee felt two punches collided with her forearm followed by a kick, which she pushed away with the same arm and moved in to deliver a round house kick of her own. He reappeared visually as he moved to block it with his forearms.

"You're quite fast!" Mr. Matsuyama said, praising his daughter. He then grabbed Aimee's leg and pulled her forward to throw her off balance. She fell for his trick and tumbled forward. Her father exploited her weakness by going in for the attack, first by delivering a karate chop to her neck, followed by several punches to her neck and face. He dropped down into a squad, cupped his hands together and began to gather energy in his palms.

Caught off guard, Aimee unsurpassed her battle power and shouted out loud as the attack came her way. The beam was mostly dispersed but part of it engulfed her entire body, leaving her scratched and damaged in its wake. Her clothes were torn and steam was rising from her body.

"Lucky shot I guess. Come on. Show me what you can do, Aimee. Don't hold back."

"Easier said than done."

"Don't worry. I won't judge you or think anything bad. I want to know how good my daughter has become--how much you have surpassed me."

Aimee smiled. "That was pretty cool what you did there. I was fighting you at the same power level as you and you threw me off and fired off your kamehameha when I didn't have time to get out of the way. You left me no choice but to unsupress my power and block it."

Mr. Matsuyama put a hand to his head and rubbed his hair. "I'm flattered. Happy to know you can still learn from me after all your years. The beauty of countering an opponent is to get them off guard. The Kamehameha technique as you should know can be easily dodged from a distance, but if used up close against an opponent who has been put off guard will make it difficult for him to recoup and counter with a ki attack of his own to ensue a beam struggle or to dodge. I take a tactical approach to fighting. I would like to think you would as well."

"I do. Fine, I'll show you what I can do."

"Make me proud," Mr. Matsuyama replied, grinning.

Aimee unsuppressed her power and reached seventy-five percent of her full potential. Her hair changed from pink to blue. She dropped into a full squat and summoned the rest of her power from within. A white aura exploded around her as she reached her full power, causing her hair to become blonde. Her father looked with a proud look on his face as he sensed her true power. Mr. Matsuyama dropped from into a full squat as well. His hair changed from pink to blue, then, as an aura exploded around himself, his hair became blonde as well.

So this is your true power, Aimee thought to herself as she sensed her father's ki. It was half as strong as her own.

"I had no idea you were this strong. I have never seen your hair change to blue, ever. This is great. I'm honoured to be able to see you become blonde today."

"I'm proud to be able to use my full potential against a worthy opponent."

"I'm not done yet."

Aimee transformed and showed off her hidden power. He form became that of a silhouette with pink, blue and red blended together like some sort of cosmic humanoid. Light, taking the form of steam, cascaded like mist down her body. An aura of brilliant colours displayed by her form surrounded her like a candle flame.

Mr. Matsuyama looked on, silently. He chose to say nothing as he grinned and admired Aimee's true power.

Aimee pounced forward and vanished from sight. She reappeared less than second later delivering a power punch to her father's nose. Blue ki radiated from her knuckles as she delivered it. The blow send her father flying from where he stood across the ocean before them. She seemingly vanished from where she stood and appeared above Mr. Matsuyama, moving alongside him as he glided in the air above the water. Aimee raised both her hands above her head into a hammer fist and slammed them down against her father's body, sending him into the ocean waters below. She waited for him to rise up to the surface of the ocean.

"I couldn't even sense you coming. You're too fast for me I think. And now my body hurts, though I know it is an illusion." Mr. Matsuyama said as he rose from out of the water and hovered in the sky.

"Do you want to continue?"

"No no. I think this will be good. I am definitely no match for you." Her father said, humbly. "Let's go see your mom and have our dinner."

Aimee awoke to find herself in an unpleasant situation. Her father's house was lit aflame, engulfed in a gigantic blaze. The glow of the fire drew her attention and she could see innards strewn about. Up ahead was a dead body of a pink-haired girl with a pink-haired man standing next to the corpse facing Aimee's mother. A sword was in his hand. In front of the man was Aimee's mother. Emotions swelled up within her. Instinctively, she ran over to them and yelled to get the man's attention.

"Stop! What are you doing!" Aimee's face went ghostly white as she saw the man pierce her mother with the sword in his hand. He then kicked the women to the ground.

"No!!!!" Aimee rushed over to the stranger, but before she could lay a hand on him, he turned around and pointed the tip of the Demonsbane sword at her.

"No. It can't be. I don't believe it."

The man turned out to be her father. He said nothing. He stared coldly back at her.

"What have you done! You would kill your own mother?!! You would even kill me! Me! I thought you loved me!"

"I had to do it, Aimee. You told me I would 'pass away' in the future. You surpassed me in the spar. I had no choice but to take matters into my own hands and shape my destiny. I don't want to die. I don't intend to die."

Aimee clenched her hands into fists and screamed at her father.

"I want to curse you so bad right now for what you have just done. You! You! You!" She began to cry.

"Me, what? Come on, say it. Say it!"

"N-no. I won't curse you," Aimee said, falling on to her knees as tears streamed down her face. "You're still my father."

"That's right!" Mr. Matsuyama inched closer with the blade in hand. "I'm your father." He then reached Aimee and brought the sharp end of the blade to inches within her neck.

"Excellent, excellent," spoke a familiar voice. Aimee looked up to see it was none other than Everest, The Count Of Greyfa.

"N-no. How? I don't understand. You're working with him!?"

Mr. Matsuyama took a deep breath and exhaled.

"This was all part of my plan, Matsuyama Aimee. You remember how I placed a seal on you, don't you? Remember back to our battle that fateful day when I let you live."

Aimee's eyes widened. She had completely forgot about it.

"I've been working behind the scenes all along. I've been watching you from the shadows. This whole quest is part of my grand plan. I used the Wise Man to lure you out into the open. Now you get to see who your father really was. Mr. Matsuyama is a deceitful murderer who doesn't hold to his traditions. He clings to power, and life. That is why I am so appealing to him, you see. I am the one master he has yet to train under. I can ensure that he lives and doesn't 'pass away'."

Aimee transformed and emitted a bright flash that engulfed the whole area in a white blinding light. As the flash faded away, Aimee could be seen standing. The Count and Mr. Matsuyama stood blinded by her power.

"My father would never do any of this. None of this is real."

The Count and Mr. Matsuyama both laughed together.

"Aimee, my daughter. This is reality! You are truly in denial."

"I haven't forgotten about my quest! This isn't the first time I've experienced these illusions in this forest. That is how I was able to join the Order in the first place. Ru'ketal I know you're behind all this. It all makes sense. This must be your first mental attack against me. I wondered how you were going to do it. Now I realize you're exploiting my emotions and memories to attack me."

The Count and Mr. Matsuyama then vanished, along with the burning house and the dead body of Aimee's younger self. Also gone was the setting in which her house was located. She was now alone in the darkness of the forest with the moonlight being cast down upon her.

Good job, Aimee. You've completed your quest successfully and withstood my mental attack. Come meet me outside of the forest and we can discuss how I will unlock your psychic potential. Start walking to your left, head straight, and then you will see me out front where you had left me."
