When are we eating?
Ayakon had brought his ally to train under Master Roshi and had found himself taking a week to train as well. Roshi always had a few new techniques to teach him and could easily talk the Changeling into staying for a little while to learn.

Just like last time Ayakon had trained with Master Roshi, the venerable old Turtle Hermit had a request for him. Ayakon was considered by some to be a great warrior. He could master techniques just a bit easier than most and could adapt his tactics to battle as many opponents as necessary. As such, Roshi considered him a good warrior to put his less seasoned students against. Ayakon would harm them and possibly take them to within an inch of their life, but he'd also do his best to teach. So, like before with Kularian and Rem, Ayakon's services had been requested yet again. Shortly after his battle with the two warriors, they'd rocketed up to greater and almost legendary heights. Perhaps same would happen to the warriors he was to fight today?

For now, he stood on Sevii Island, just a few kilometers from Master Roshi's house, dressed head to toe in battle gear. His icy gauntlets exuded a mystical energy that slowed any combatants, either through fear or caution. His armor looked like it had once been Saiyan modeled, but had several modifications of Ayakon's own. Various tricks and movements could deliver stimulants and boosts that the Changeling might need. He'd sacrificed most of them for this particular battle, figuring that it would more or less be a peaceful one, compared to his last battle. All things considered the only way this battle could get that bad is if someone decided to crash this party.

Ayakon settled into his crush stance, bringing his right arm to guard his mid-section while holding his left out in front of him. His legs were at an even distance apart, bent slightly at the knee so that he could take off as quickly as possible once his opponents arrived. He'd give whoever they turned out to be the benefit of the first action, as Ayakon would likely be playing defense for the majority of this particular game. Moving his arm from its resting position at his gut, he adjusted his Scouter to let him know of any incoming arrivals. While waiting for his opponents to present themselves, Ayakon closed his eyes and waited.

Zero didn’t want to live on this planet anymore.

Ayakon had assured the friezan fugitive that he would be training under one of the wisest masters in the galaxy. A human by the name of Master Roshi, titled the “Turtle Hermit” by the natives, had been drawn as a powerful human in the changeling’s mind. Upon introduction, however, Zero had been let down by the discovery that the so-called champion was little more than a frail old man, addicted to pornography and happy to spend their training sessions sunbathing. Whatever powerful techniques the Brumal had referenced had seemingly been forgotten to make room for pick-up lines and sexual images. Everything seemed downhill from here.

Not to mention the ice-jin found the overheated sphere to be populated by a disgusting culture. This was not a race of warriors or wise men, to be sure. The most dangerous battle faced by these barely-sentient beings was driving to and from strange restaurants to wrestle grease-soaked food from uniformed window attendants, who Zero assumed to be police or government representatives charged with rationing food to the obese citizens of planet Earth.

To his relief, training had been cancelled this morning for what was likely another disappointing set-up. Old Man Roshi alleged that there was a powerful fighter newly arrived on earth who would test the youngling’s current power. Zero highly doubted that any creature harboring respect for the tortoise tamer carried an ounce of power in his bones, but some small spark of hope made him believe that any company was better than that of the sweaty old coot. Thus, he had re-entered the Kame House to prepare himself for the battle ahead.

The ex-noble removed the weighted clothing that donned his wrists, legs, head and armor. On the off chance that this was a challenger of merit, he did not want to be held back by the training equipment. If his visiting rival was not, perhaps he could direct a lesson today in changeling brutality. The thought elicited a chuckle from the grumpy reptile. It would be quite nice to kick an ass fresher than the ancient teacher’s.

Re-emerging from the pink shack, Zero was shocked to see his rescuer Ayakon posed for combat on the beach. The last Celsian felt a rush of excitement and adrenaline. This would be his chance to observe the source of the Brumal lord’s tremendous power. The odds of victory were not quite favorable, but he had learned from his recovery following King Cold’s death that coming back from the fringe of death could awaken hidden willpower and strength. His body, recently turned to changeling soup by the friezan emperor’s fresh corpse, had been remodeled into a wall of ice. Eager to test the brand new body against his savior, Zero took his own stance across from the god-like lizard and began to gather his energy.

The trademark shadow erupted and peaked into a field of black static around the forgotten son of Icer. Though he was hardly one for warm fuzzies between the cold-blooded, he was genuinely happy to see his traveling companion. Humanity was far lonelier than the old glacial cave, now the tomb of Ari, that he had once called home.

All right then. Lets get started.

Perrin sliced the sky open with his body. His arms tucked tight against his abdomen, allowing him as little wind resistance as he could manage. It seemed like hours had passed since Kami's wrinkled hand was lain upon his forehead, pulsating partial visions of the day to come. He was sent off of the Lookout with instructions to give aid to one of two fighters.

He hadn't been on the planet long, and already he felt himself being ran ragged once more. Even so, when the sandy bar of Sevii Island came into view, he could feel his determination wash over him again. He had been given a vision that showed where he was to go, and so little information about the combatants that he had no idea who he was about to lend his assistance to....again.

Within moments, he was within eyesight of the two combatants, and he couldn't afford to waste any time. Having aimed his flight towards the taller of the two fighters, Perrin released his energy from flight and plummeted through the air at incredible speeds. Faster and faster, he spun, arching his fist back. Energy surged from his core and into his knuckles, peaking as he spun to swing for the taller Changeling's jaw.

His potent power flushed to his skin again, keeping him from slamming into the ground after swinging his fist. A cocky smirk covered his face, unaware of the unbelievable power difference between himself and Aya, but regardless he let his energy blaze from his body, collect within his palm, and expel itself through his outstretched palm.

Heavy boots pounded against the loose sand as he sprinted away from Aya, heading for Zero. Several feet away, he rolled forwards and caught himself on his hands. Residual heat from his palms packed and hardened the sand under his weight, giving him the spring he needed to land beside Zero with enough force to spin back towards Aya with a flourish of his cape.

“Hey there, ingrate. Kami Sama said you could use a little assistance,” his knife edged grin widened, baring razor tipped fangs, “so you better bring your A game.”

Ayakon smirked as what would turn out to be his first opponent arrived, watching the younger Changeling land and take his fighting stance. "Zero, what a pleasant surprise. I knew that Master Roshi would find suitable training for you and I'm glad to see that he has. " Ayakon could sense another presence approaching, this one seemed prepped for battle as well. He made no indication that he had felt the sensation, merely continued talking. "You know, when I started training under him, I thought that he was just a perverted old man. He quickly became one of my favorite mentors. I know that you and I are very different Changelings, but I hope that the same happens for you as well." Just to his flank was the roar of a body slicing through air with controlled speed. The Changeling kept in his stance for a moment before the slightest of movements began.

Moving with all the grace that the Changeling could muster, Ayakon continued to speak, "The key, I think, is to relax," He leaned backwards just before Perrin's attack would strike him and reached out with his left hand, grabbing the Namekian's wrist and inserting his own force into the diagonally-aimed descent. Shooting his right hand out twice, Ayakon delivered two quick punches to Perrin's gut before releasing him to continue his landing, all of which happened in the time that it took Ayakon to inhale before he continued his speech, "because only when he senses absolute relaxation does he let his real words of wisdom flow. He taught me a few interesting techniques, ones that I couldn't have learned otherwise."

His Namekian opponent recovered quickly and threw a seemingly effortless burst of energy at Ayakon. Likewise, the Changeling dropped his stance altogether and leaned backwards, using his tail to balance him as he went almost completely horizontal in order to dodge the blast of energy that ended up sailing harmlessly over his chest. He stood back up and continued, "His influence is unique and he's the one that taught me to enjoy the thrill of battle, rather than seeing every single encounter as a life or death fight. Though you may face your end in battle some day, it doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it. Don't you agree?"

Once Perrin had greeted his ally, Ayakon continued, "I see we have a new entrant into this battle. It seems that Kami-sama saw fit to introduce me to another opponent. My name is Ayakon, Lord of the Brumal clan. A pleasure to meet you, my Namekian adversary. Let's get serious then, shall we?" Ayakon braced himself, taking a classic martial arts stance with his legs shoulder width apart, his elbows at his sides and his fists clenched. He wasn't powering up just yet, instead he was focusing on aligning his body and mind completely for just a few moments. He'd yet to call upon this technique in a true battle situation, but figured this would be as good a time to test as any, "KAIO-KEN!"

In the blink of an eye, he rushed Zero and Perrin, landing himself just between the two of them. Moving with speed that seemed impossible, his arms struck out as though they'd multiplied by four. Each. The Changeling struck at Zero first, lashing out at opponent four times before shifting his stance and striking at the Perrin. With every four strikes, he'd move to the other opponent, making himself a bit predictable but not reducing the damage of his strikes by one bit. Hit after hit towards each foe in a fury of physical attacks aimed at every weak point imaginable. The end result was no less than twenty-four strikes towards each opponent before the blazing red aura faded from Ayakon. The Changeling jumped backwards and took a defensive stance, waiting for any sort of reaction from either his new Changeling friend or the Namekian whose name he didn't know.

The Changeling's voice was filled with excitement. The battle had finally truly begun! In a positively venomous voice he said, "Hold nothing back."

I must say, Ayakon, so far my most difficult training has been a trip to the “XXX” store. Fighting you seems greater training than all of the old man’s lessons combined. The Brumal’s compliments to Master Roshi gave little consolation to the up-and-coming lizard warrior initially, but the sequence of actions that followed the taller changeling’s talk changed the Celsian’s perspective completely.

To both of their surprise, a verdant meteor was falling in offense against Ayakon. The powerful renegade continued his casual conversation in spite of it, offering short bursts of wisdom before moving eloquently out of Perrin’s path and returning the greeting with two punches of his own as the namekian executed his landing. The insect alien attempted a follow up energy blast that the pacifist lord avoided with a circus balancing act. The grass stain took his side with some unnecessary flamboyance and then made his introduction.

But wait- Zero had seen this creature somewhere before. His mind traveled back to the throne room of Frieza as recreated by the enchanted gem. The setting had heavily dampened Perrin’s sense of humor there, and a wounded Celsian heir had exited prematurely.

But the jade challenger had done something else in their surreal meeting; he had offered to help Zero. That had perhaps been the first time any being had offered him help. Zero wasn’t sure if it had been heartfelt or simply another strange branch of Perrin’s comedic style, but the notion had still touched his heart while he had been entranced by the Emperor’s chair.

Now is not the time to consider your own softness, fool, the changeling reprimanded himself. Despite the odds of this friendly match, the appearance of an ally rather set him off. The comedian offered another jovial stab at Zero, which was funny only because it was his spectral father’s new title for him. From a nobody, the insult carried little weight.

Feigning himself as a stranger to the alien, he replied tersely, You may call me Zero for short. You will soon regret interrupting this bout. It was not a threat from the ice-jin fugitive, but a warning.

Ayakon finished his initial lecture with a dark tone that jerked Zero’s full attention from the new teammate. Recalling the insane speeds he had witnessed in the battle between Ayakon and King Cold, he realized that he had wasted valuable time talking to Perrin for even a moment as their opponent summoned a cloak of red ki. The first attack was imminent. Doubting his capacity to move in time, he simple threw up his arms in an “x” guard. Not a second later four crushing blows landed against his limbs. Another four came after a short interim. After sixteen such blows, the soreness in his arms finally gave way for the last 8. The impact swept him off his feet, sending backwards a few meters before he managed to redirect the flight with his tail. The appendage curved against the ground and guided his body into a back flip that helped the weaker changeling to find his footing.

Zero took a moment to survey the damage inflicted on his form. The bruises ached, but had not cause the brutal agony King Cold had lent him during the affair on Frieza. Ayakon had clearly restrained himself, if only nominally, to facilitate a balanced fight from his students.

The last son of Celsius had his own technique to try out. It wasn’t as if hiding it would yield him some opportunistic, shocking counter as the fight progressed, so he supposed now was as good a time as any to unleash it.

Glacier’s son shifted his posture into a horse stance, pushing his arms back past his hips until his wrists were tucked neatly at his sides. This would be the first time he used his first transformation in battle; it was the perfect opportunity to test its full potential. The lizard youth closed his eyes, focusing on the abyssal energy at his core and willing it to expand with the rhythm of his breath. The energy was made manifest in a shroud of black fire that flickered with the unsteady bulging of his muscles. Finally finding the connectivity between his flesh and spirit, he bellowed an involuntary roar to cover the moment of pain as his anatomy reformed.

The sand at Zero’s feet kicked up like a veil around him at the climax of the transformation. When it settled a new changeling had taken his place. The new body stood around eight feet high; where the Celsian’s base form was short and puny, the new visage was mammoth-like. The natural armor on his chest and hips had disappeared, now only present on his hips. It was unnecessary now that his jet black hide had thickened considerably, and its absence revealed a purple accent coloring on the ice-jin’s chest.

There wasn’t a chance to attack now. No doubt his metamorphosis had called too much attention to his presence, and strategy was all-important considering the enormous gap between their power levels. Even his transformation had only been an effort to endure more of Ayakon’s abuse. Posture straightened and weaknesses reinforced, Zero crossed his arms and waited for an opening.

”Regret?” Perrin scoffed slightly from behind his brash mask, his hand rubbing where Aya had pounded him so quickly “I'm sure I'll be fine. Kami wouldnt send me here just to--”his voice was cut off as the larger of the two Changeling's bent backwards and dodged his attack as if it were nothing, “.... Tell me he didn't just completely dodge everything I did.”

Perrin's quirky, yet cocky smile soon faded, twisting into a grimace of pain. His conversation with Zero was cut short as the other Changeling seemed to appear out of thin air and began unexpectedly began pummeling Perrin, ferociously. Aya's mits buffeted the Namekian's verde body a good sixteen times before he picked up the rhythm and began to guard effectively.

Already, his muscles were tightening in bruised protest, and he knew holding back wasn't going to get him anywhere. As his little ally scurried off, probably running away and leaving Perrin alone, he himself slunk back and quickly tossed aside various pieces of clothing. When he was finished, his broad body warmed in Sol's rays, leaving Perrin with nothing other than a white hooded robe and black bottoms. His toes wriggled in the sand for barely a second before he burst forwards, toward Aya once more.

Like before, Perrin tumbled, using his hands to compress the sand into a solid mass long enough to spring upwards, propelling himself even higher with a flush of energy to his skin. Before he landed, his eyes caught sight of Zero, just as the sand began to settle, ”Well, you got taller,”he joked, landing gracefully on his toes, and spinning around at Aya's back. A flush of energy surged through his body and into his fists, where it pooled in thick and heavy amounts.

To many, Perrin's next move would have been lightning fast. To Aya, though, he more than likely came off sluggish. Perrin's form changed as he moved across the sand, using its loamy form to cover his footwork. His upper body shifted one way, then the other as he faked a left, and swung with a right, purposely missing Aya's chin by enough to give him room for his real attack.

Covered by Perrin's cross-over right maul, the jade brawler's left swung around, extending from his body like thick tree roots. As it came underneath Aya's body, it took a ninety degree turn upwards, shooting for the abnormally tall Changeling's throat.

"Extend!!!!" A yell was heard ringing all around the area. This would give Ayakon just the time to look up. He would see a shockwave spread out from the distance which broke past his vision by just a few inches. In an instant, whether he dodged Perrin's attack or not, a large pole almost instantly crashes toward his body. The attack was too much in the same tune of Perrin's mystic attack and it would give Ayakon the instant impression that it was a comrade of the green man.

The pole instantly shortened itself, but on the end which the holder held which brought her close to him. It felt like it was instant to her, but to the quick and agile Ayakon this would seem like she was walking Speed 1 on a treadmill to nowhere. She spun the stick and grabbed it into a better attack form and before she started striking at the Changeling she smiled a little. For some strange reason she didn't sense a killing intent from this enemy in-front of her; it made her hold just for courtesy. She knew he would have his awareness of the situation updated in his mind by now, and instead of going for a strike she instantly put her Power pole back into the clip-on pieces on the back of her hip.

Her body shimmered and a thin film of ki covered her body in the form of a Body Barrier. "This looks like fun. I can't believe Perrin would face off against a powerful foe without me!" Aria floated to the ground and stood in a basic stance only a few feet to the side of Perrin. She looked over and saw Zero and the knowledge of everyone's power levels filled her computerized screen. She had plenty of reason to be worried about their opponent. Ayakon wasn't showing off any intent of killing and it eased her mind a bit more than when she faced off against Kleus or Tor'aak, but she knew this was still going to be a brutal battle on their end.

"His power level is staggering. I am getting a small headache."

After announcing that she broke the small stand-off and advanced toward Ayakon. Upon clashing with him, she spun her body and took hold of the Power pole. It extended only slight this time and it was more noticeable. She swung it while being a few inches away and aimed at his neck.

RP award time. Giving it to Perrin, surprisingly. Mostly because of the deepness to which he described everything in his second post, though there are some grammar issues with the first. But yeah. If you need help adding that AIM me. Good job to everyone else.

When are we eating?
Unfortunately for Ayakon, the thrill of having used his Kaio-ken technique in battle for the first time had left him with a sudden emptiness, as though he'd come off of a caffeine high instantaneously. The surge of energy filling his body had replaced adrenaline momentarily, leaving an empty hole that took time to replenish. In these precious few instants, his adversaries had gotten their shit together and even managed to reverse the situation on the Changeling Lord.

Before him stood Zero's first transformation, something Ayakon wasn't even aware that his one-time ally had acquired. This made Aya proud in a strange way, as though he was watching Zero grow in strength in real time. The bladed adversary did nothing for the moment, merely hogging the spotlight while the Namekian attacked from the side. Before Ayakon could turn to sufficiently block the maneuver, he saw the Namek's arm shoot out like an ever extending serpent, seemingly heading to attempt to trip him. At the last minute, however, the rapidly extending limb shot upwards towards Ayakon's throat. Thankfully the Changeling had his head down as he watched the arm fire at him. As a result, the Namekian's appendage struck him hard in the chin, causing Ayakon to stumble backwards a step.

This, in turn, grabbed Ayakon's attention enough for the extending pole to strike him square in the chest, sending a brand new shockwave of fear throughout Aya. For the briefest of instants his mind flashed back to King Cold's extending staff and he thought that the King of Cruel had returned from the depths of Hell far too quickly to be possible. When the strike failed to do King Cold levels of damage (merely causing a ringing throughout his armor as opposed to immediately bruising him), Aya realized that it must have been a new foe and turned his attention to-- Android. The lack of beeping from his Scouter and general lack of tingling the base of his skull confirmed it. Ayakon grimaced. With one shining exception, the Changeling generally disliked all Androids. The beings bothered him in more than one way. When the next extension came towards him, Ayakon had the presence of mind to jerk his upper body to the right, dodging the attack before it could hit him.

"Android…" Ayakon muttered, doing all he could to contain himself and maintain a calm composure. Thankfully he won out this time and remained as calm as he could. The Changeling looked at all three of his opponents and said, "Alright, we're getting towards making this a fair fight." He leaned forward ever so slightly, preparing to charge when he suddenly disappeared from mortal sight, leaping high into the air and cupping his hands at his side,  "Let me show you the fruits of training with Master Roshi!" He began to charge energy very quickly. "Ka… me…" A small sphere appeared in the center of his cupped hands and he eyed Perrin, the strongest of the group. If any could stand this attack, it'd be him. "Ha… me…." The energy supercharged itself and the light began to stream through the holes between his fingers. Twisting his hands towards his foe, he shouted, "HA!" And fired the massive attack straight at the Namekian. It was a light show, as powerful as it must've looked. Ayakon retained the sense of mind to pull the ki away from his opponent at the last second so that even if the Namek took the attack head on, it'd only severely harm him rather than kill him. Ayakon's intention was not to murder.

With a flash of energy he was gone again, now on the ground and several meters away from Zero, "Don't think you'll get off light. You've yet to attack me this entire battle. I saw bravery in the fight against King Cold. Don't disappoint me!" Ayakon pulled his hands to the side again and, much more quickly this time, charged the energy and shouted, "Kamehame-HA!" before firing a light blue stream of energy at his foe. This one he released immediately. If Zero wasn't careful, this would overwhelm him. There had to be a way, Ayakon figured, to force Zero Celsius to engage him.

As he left his foe to deal with the attack, he looked at his final opponent and said, "You look like a good test subject for my newest attack. Let's see how this works." He held his hands up at shoulder level, palms pointing upward as though he was preparing to lift something quite heavy. Rather than lifting, he formed two fuchsia discs of energy, one in each palm, and held them until each began to spin with the sound of air cutting surrounding the blades themselves. Launching the one from his left hand first, he sent the right one just after it, both homing in on the android in an effort to slice through her hard metallic frame. He had less control over this one, but his intent still wasn't to murder her, unless she proved to be a real and deadly threat.

Breathing heavily ever so slightly, Ayakon watched his foes react to his attacks and waited for their reactions. Hopefully this would herald something interesting.

From his post, Zero took a moment to observe his comrade’s recovery and response to Ayakon’s vicious assault. Naturally, the grossly underestimating comedian had a joke for every occasion. Lord Celsius ignored the passing comment from the namekian. The grasshopper jester began his counterattack, leaning on the mystic racial abilities granted by his violet blood. Admittedly, had the attack been meant for the weakest of this company it would have proven an effective lightning strike. The wasteland prince knew better. All the same he waited for his opportunity; hopefully when the Brumal moved to dispatch his foe there would be an opportunity to strike.

But then, as quickly as Ayakon’s kaio-ken strike had transpired, a surprise double offense shook his opponent’s groove. Perrin managed to trick the greater ice-jin with illusory melee. As Zero was gathering the speed for coordinated aid, a familiar strike reigned down from above the focused trio. Fresh from his battle with the emperor changeling, King Cold, who employed a similar weapon in his combat, the confusion made the ex-heir start. For a moment it seemed that Celsius and Brumal were at arms once again; each poised himself to target their common enemy. The youngling’s ki bursted with anger and dire dig for power for a second encounter, when a small humanoid female came into view.

Aria struck him as one equally as foolish and confident as his current sidekick. Had any of these fools even met a changeling before? Ice-headed as he might have been, even Zero was not foolish enough to count himself among his elders: King Cold and Lord Brumal. These were veritable dragons; a casual sky attack was hardly enough to dent or upset their command of the battlefield. As expected, Ayakon hardly gave notice the wounds inflicted against him. All the same, something about the newest entrant had clearly caught the legendary exile’s attention regarding the being named “Android.”

Zero actually wondered a moment if he should move to his changeling brother’s side. The upset gave him cause to believe, if only briefly, that this creature had inflicted some insult upon the creature who had rescued him from Frieza-sei. But Ayakon of Brumal gathered himself in the end, once again sharing attention between all of his challengers. The gesture gave the Celsian a moment to collect his thoughts and calm; as he was growing more and more sensitive to paranoia and hallucinations, the transitory cacophony had kept him still despite the tugging to and fro of his mental faculties. He almost lost his hold again when his better disappeared from view once more.

In the battle with King Cold, Lord Zero had been little more than a bystander. The differences in power between himself and the two bitter rivals he had observed had been too great even to make a dent in either source. What efforts he had mustered had been completely useless. He had simply watched then; thunderstruck by the clash of two reptilian titans. Awe overtook him once more as the Brumal reappeared in the air and prepared a massive attack meant for his namekian partner. The crisp blue wave was absolutely magnificent. Zero’s own mastery of ki was a parlor trick in comparison. Caught up in idol worship, Prince Celsius fooled himself into the role of spectator until the beam had run its course. The brightness of the kamehameha wave faded and the beach regained its normal hue, his mentor finding solidarity across from Celsius as the beauty of the technique became less than a dream. Ayakon, who in the changing lights appeared more as a shadow, spoke out, bringing the statue-like changeling back to grips with the situation at hand, though Zero only caught the last part,

Don’t disappoint me.

In flashes like snapshots, the firstborn son of Glacier watched the setting flicker. One instant he was at the kame house, the next the thunderclap of his migraines ripped him across planets and worlds, back to Frieza, where his father stood in full glory next to the tomb of his underling, Ari- a glacial cave that he had once called home. In trained reaction to the pain, black sparks of electricity whipped out from around the last surviving Celsian, heralding a ki that matched the morphing ghost of his father while contrasting the brightness of his current opponent’s energy.

It made no difference who was summoning the blast. There was no such thing as a friendly fight between changelings. Whether it had been a friendly spar, or his climactic battle with King Cold, Zero had never treated any battle as anything short of a death match. The surreal landscapes and faces convoluted by trauma could hardly persuade the use of less force. The two-faced shadow before him echoed the chant that had unleashed the first magnificent stream. Another sharp crack emitted from the static blanket which danced around the patriarch’s ki.

The pair of warriors released their ‘Has’ in chorus, Ayakon to announce his smaller wave and Zero to release a rebel yell that, in the deepened voice of his new form, shook the entire island when colliding with his elder’s attack. It was monstrous, signaling the awakening of brutality that had lain dormant after a grievous wound left by King Cold. The shadow flames flared to meet the azure beam which turned black and dissipated once introduced to the sonic wall crafted by the droning roar of Glacier’s son.

The merciless chill of Patriarch Celsius himself ignored the warm rays of the sun; bloodlust had cut the lingering image of earth and replaced it with the storm that had framed Zero and Ayakon’s previous battle on Frieza. There was no Brumal to speak of in the Celsian’s ruby vision. Glacier, his own father, was the youngling’s opponent now. The black and blue ghost turned to attend to some other chore. That absolutely infuriated Zero. The target would come to regret his flippant dismissal.

What happened next had to be fast, which was handy considering the all-out nature of Son Celsius’ temporary insanity. Whilst Ayakon was preparing his final action, Zero clenched his massive fist, pumping it with the furious aura that was burning through him. Taking flight with supercharged speed, he appeared behind the preoccupied opponent, crossing his right arm in a ki-fortified punch across the back of Lord Brumal’s skull. Allowing his massive body’s momentum to spin around in full, the transformed changeling aimed a gun-shaped hand for the base of his father’s neck and released his own onyx laser point blank towards the tender spot.

The sudden burst of energy pulled the world back into vision; he was on Earth again, and the misnamed mark of his rage was Ayakon. It was not a moment of softness but clarity, and assuming that he was able the maddened warrior facilitated some distance between the strongest of the troupe and himself. Despite his satisfaction with his combo, the sudden loss of perception and control was a tad unsettling,

What is happening to me?

For one long moment, the world froze for the once damned Namekian. A blue beyond blue filled the crescents of his prismatic eyes. Every question Perrin had ever asked himself flooded his mind in that instant. Mashes of the simple and the most complex thoughts wrapped together in smooth and fluent processes until he landed upon one.

Is there a God?

For the bulk of his life, Perrin teetered on edge between atheism and faith. He was agnostic; unsure of whether there were truly an omnipresent being watching over an existence to which was created in such unbelievable chaos. Tears stained his cheeks, burning his flesh night after night as he lay awake, begging for acceptance from the race that cast him away like trash. Commonly, his body shook in loneliness and fear. Could there possibly be such a God who could leave a child alone as he had been? For the first time, just for one brief moment, Perrin was given his answer.

Instinct wrapped Perrin's body, warm and soothing, as his arms crossed over his chest. The azure light filling his eyes seemed to flush him with life, feeding him with a cobalt hued energy. All around his body, digging its way deep into the sand, a thick and blue shell of pure force surrounded him, taking the massive expulsion of Ayakon's spirit head-on. Sweat poured down Perrin's eager face as he felt his very soul fighting against Ayakon's wave. He could feel his barrier beginning to crack under the pressure, but was well prepared. As the back of his shell ripped through the sandy ground, the front began to fissure, and just as it cracked apart, Perrin disappeared.

Even as he appeared to Ayakon's side in time to watch him forming and whipping bladed disks at his ally, it was clear Perrin didn't escape everything. Smoke rose from his heated body, and he growled his feral and ferocious roar. His feet, bare to the flesh, pounded against the coastal turf, pressuring the sand to conform to him. Like a bolt of lightning, Perrin's claw opened up, his arm extending downwards to gather up a large handful of the microscopic glass, and as he approached his opponent; occupied by Zero, Perrin let loose the gravely substance in a cloud of blinding fury.

To his knees, Perrin dropped, shredding cloth away from his pants and bloodying his jade flesh to the ground in glass of the beach. Dipping down on the beach, as he stopped mere feet away from his opponent, Perrin's body ignited in a rapacious onslaught of pure and unadulterated fury. Electricity tore itself from the Black Guard's skin in a terrifying ripple effect. Below and around Perrin's body, the super-heated sand burst outwards in jagged spikes; immediately glassing over. Further out, so much as a foot, Perrin's electrifying energy sizzled; turning every grain of sand within a hundred foot radius into a solid sheet of glass and surging deep into everything within his field.

As his dome of lightning began to fade away, Perrin was left kneeling atop a shelf of shimmering glass, his chest heaving. A peaked and jagged smile peaked the corners of his lips, baring a single fang, glinting brightly in the sunlight.

Purple rings of death called the little woman. It felt like hours were passing by and her surroundings were a grey hue. She could see the very slow glitters of tiny shards being swiped into the air. Perrin was aiming to blind the changeling and she saw, for only a moment at that, Perrin’s eyes cross hers. That was when everything froze up to a complete stand still.

He’s going to need my support.

Everything quickly caught normal speeds. The florid razors were coming in at her rather slow. So this was a new technique of his; that meant he had a more fresh experience with this attack over the others and that could be troublesome. She could feel the countless hours of practice Ayakon had put in perfecting the formation of each tiny blade. Her first reaction nearly mirrored Perrin’s as her indigo colored shield exploded from her already shimmering blue body shielded physique to form a solid barrier. The first blade broke against her barrier and she felt impact. Snaps formed like roots at the sway of the energy disk.

Pain…this is amazing

She did not pay attention enough to know how the sand in her attacker’s eyes had affected him. Her attention was set on the second circular buzz saw which was not going to speed up nor slow down its pace. Her own anxiety had gotten the best of her as she rushed head-on.

Crystalline spikes of glass erupted from the ground and it was a beautiful sight. The sun glittered off of the makeshift crystals and almost put Aria in a stand by. Now was now that time to but won over by such natural beauty; she had to act now before she clashed with the death cutter. In a furious fit of speed she disappeared and reappeared right into the forest of crystals. She hid well from Ayakon’s view, though she already knew that the proud royal’s eyes had followed her every step of the way, just like the Kiezan had done so. The blade followed her path and sliced the glass cleanly and caused a lot of the spiked pillars to start sliding down and crash onto the ground and shatter.

Aria positioned herself in-front of Perrin, and the Kienzan was charging at her like a wild bull. She pulled a large lump of air which caused her stomach to slightly protrude from her white robe which was identical to the Namekian. Her cheeks puffed out for a quick second and then suddenly an ear shattering scream broke from her now widened mouth. The scream slowly broke a part the Kienzan, slowing it down even more than it was advancing earlier. Slivers of energy dispersed into nothing in that slow instant of a moment.

Aria did not stop her scream though. She continued to push air out of her lungs and the high sound frequency shattered nearly all of the makeshift glass and sent various pieces of jagged and sharp edges toward her newly found adversary. Soon her breath started to run out and she pulled in a breath of desperation and then gasped a little. She stood between Ayakon and Perrin now of course and it was as if she was shielding her companion.

“Are you alright?”

Despite her own question, asked as if she was fine herself, she showed to be leaking from various non-lethal slices that came from the smashing of the first Kienzan.

When are we eating?
Ayakon grinned. His flurry of movements seemed to have spurred his opponents to retaliate. First came his strike at Zero. The oversized Changeling had dispersed his energy beam with a frightful explosion of ki that only hinted at the type of energy that Zero had stored within him. Ayakon turned his attention to the Changeling as the warrior blurred his speed and dashed around behind Aya. The Changeling Lord waited until the right moment, sensing the energy building up in his opponent's fist. At the last moment he spun his leg behind him and shifted his position so that instead of Zero hitting his intended target, his ki-charged fist met with Ayakon's own.

The Changeling had, at the last moment, overcharged his fist with a blaze of light blue energy that mashed into his foe's causing a stalemate of energy that reverberated in waves across the island. Quick as a flash the larger Changeling had jumped back and fired a beam of energy at Aya's throat. The lethality of his technique surprised Ayakon and it was all the Changeling could do to defer to his superior physical fortitude in order to prevent the beam from piercing his flesh. Zero managed to get the shot in, causing Ayakon to stumble backwards and clutch his throat. He coughed once and stood back up, showing a burn mark on his neck, "Good!" The Brumal Lord said, "You're getting in the mix. Maybe next time try it without the crazy eyes. You need to keep your head in battle, or you'll definitely lose."

Next, Ayakon turned his attention to the Namekian and his… Android compatriot. They seemed to be working in tangent more than Zero, which the Changeling Lord found more than a little interesting. Both of them seemed to use a specific technique to minimize the damage from his attack. The Changeling watched through his Scouter and saw the electronic display of [Recorded] before the warrior had to react to their next attacks. When the Namek controlled and overwhelmed Ayakon's beam, the Changeling grinned, but wasn't expecting the Namekian warrior to appear right at his flank, ready to scoop up a handful of dirty fighting and toss it straight at the Changeling. Ayakon took the sand to his eyes and stumbled backwards a few steps, "Augh! Sand, really?!" Even as he spoke he could feel Perrin's energy rising higher and higher beyond its current level. Ayakon's instincts kicked in and as the expanding energy dome touched the Changeling, he seemed to absorb it into his body, turning it into a flaming aura of protection. "You'll have to try a bit harder than that. One of the Nameks used that move against me when I was visiting your planet."

Rubbing his eyes furiously to clear the gunk out, Ayakon almost fell victim to the burst of ki carrying waves of glass straight at him. He opened his eyes just in time to see shards flying at him and held his hand out straight, forming a gravitational center at the very middle of the barrage. Clenching his fist, he sucked the glass in towards the epicenter of his miniature black hole, creating a large dangerous crunching sound as he turned the glass into harmless (or perhaps more harmful) dust. With a telegraphing wave of his arm, he shoved the destroyed glass behind him far into the ocean. Where it probably eventually got into some drinking water.

"You're all very creative and you show signs of getting more and more powerful." He said calmly, "But I must warn you that if we continue beyond this point…" His transformation came about without any effort, merely a pause in speech. His horns pointed almost straight back as the change started. He began to bulk up and grow in size until the Changeling had reached about eight feet and his muscle had multiplied several times over. Hunching over ever so slightly, he said in a deep booming voice, "I'll have to start to get serious." The red aura of pure flame surrounding his eight foot form made him look positively devastating.

A solid “crack” sent a jolt of pain through Zero’s arm as the weaponized punches connected. Celsius grinned and bared it, continuing his first assault. The one finger blast had connected but elicited little more than a cough from the greater changeling. Lord Brumal was thrilling to watch regardless of whether or not the smaller lizard was winning or losing. Recalling Ayakon’s capabilities in the battle against King Cold, Zero was perfectly aware that the ice-jin was dispatching the trio without accessing his full power.

The hallucination had ended as the infuriated assault finished, but the son of Glacier was still dizzy from the vision. He found some solidarity in his rival’s advice. Widening his focus to the setting and his companions, he noted that the duo had probably battled together many times before. Their moves were in sync, each anticipating the response and strategy of the other. Zero secretly wondered if either of them understood the kind of power that Ayakon possessed, but even their ignorance was admirable and both warriors seemed to have more sophisticated ki techniques than his own.

After their common rival had finished dealing with the magic tricks performed by Aria and Perrin, he took a moment to applaud his challengers before invoking the changeling birthright of transformation. This was not the same form Zero had seen the god-like reptilian use in the battle against King Cold; no doubt this was a lesser change that would allow him to keep the upper hand in this bout. Zero and Ayakon looked quite alike now, aside from issues of coloration.

Ayakon’s metamorphoses had always impressed the Celsian remnant. They came to him so effortlessly, and the final one that he had observed upon their meeting had been a manifestation of the pristine power harnessed by his idol. The awe that overtook Zero upon observation of the warrior had not lessened at all for this display.

Perrin was sprawled on the beach, Aria taking a defensive position between their foe and her friend. No doubt he was exhausted from the techniques he had exacted upon Ayakon in the last few rounds. The lull in combat killed the element of surprise, but Zero hoped that rushing his opponent would signal his comrades to join him. In an effort to warn them, he uncharacteristically announced his offense,

Let the insect nap. No sooner than the words left his mask, the hellfire ki blasted him from his current position towards the newly transformed changeling. His fist was drawn back as though to deliver a momentum-powered jab across Ayakon’s face, but at the last moment he turned and lashed out with his tail like a bludgeon with the intent of knowing his target winding. He tried to guess where the Brumal would land, flying quickly up and angling down, he raised a spiked elbow and charged it as he would a typical punch, though this time redirecting the ki to his spike. Not the friendliest gesture, but he assumed that his once-ally would not take offense to the lethal nature of changeling combat. It was a longshot, to be sure, but if he managed to stab the lizard he would retreat slightly, giving himself enough room to charge another blast from his finger.

It was up to Perrin and Ari to help him; alone, the assault was not quick enough for Ayakon to have much trouble interrupting.

His chest continued to heave slowly as Perrin began to stand, watching as their foe swapped effortlessly into a new form, giving the trio a warning. Little by little, the muscles in his face began to bunch up as the trickle of energy feeding from his core opened up into a flood of force. All around him, streams of sand began to drift their way upwards and around his invisible aura, as if an hour glass had begun feeding backwards. By now, he assumed Aya's little machine had registered his battle prowess as it jumped somewhere around his maximum. In a sudden burst, the sand shot outwards as he completed his regenerative power restoration; possibly setting himself up into a pique form he hadn't grazed thus far.

His changeling ally challenged the more powerful foe, though the difference in strength was so staggering, Perrin couldn't help but think he was perhaps naught but an insect to Ayakon. Oh the irony. With his energy teeming from his body in waves, Perrin took advantage of his little stinging comrade and breathed deeply in preparation for what he was about to do.

It started with a snap of electricity bounding across his swollen muscles, and quickly arced into something much more furious, his voice so low it could barely be heard above the crackle of pure power across his body, “Ma....”

He continued gathering energy. Muscles twisted and wound their way tight around his arms and back. His chest puffed, filling every pore with the fantastic golden sheen, “Sen...ko...”

Finally, the energy reached its maximum, throbbing and pulsating through his entire body as it stretched his very limits to places he hadnt visited before. In a premeditated snap of aggression, Perrin's vein-coated arms snapped up, bracing his hands against one another. Immediately, a massive golden ball appeared and, without warning, shredded the air apart, “RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

His voice resounded around the area; a battle roar exploding from the Black Guard's strained throat. His eyes shined a rainbow of color, reflecting back the light held within his own Masenko.

Her Barrier was nearing its last bit of life as the gravity based attack smashed into her. Her knees buckled and she almost screamed from the pain of the attack, but she chose to keep her voice silent. She never wanted to show to Ayakon that she was someone that weak. She knew she couldn’t move; it would have put Perrin in danger.

Let the insect nap.

Her ears twitched as she heard the changeling. She pulled her breath in deep and she showed the first shred of emotions on her doll-like face. Her teeth bared and her eyes shifted to the side along with her head so that she could see Perrin. Her scouter was ready to vomit as his numbers began a rise. Again those words nearly haunted her.

Let the insect nap.

She was still a tad bit confused by what Zero had offered to her. Where in the world was this insect and why should she allow such a troublesome little thing even breathe anymore? She had half a mind to actually search around for the bug, but her eyes soon fell on the attacking Zero. Zero seemed like he was the type to be able to hold his own, but this proud warrior which faced all three of them at once was not a person you just ‘hold your own’ against.

Her scouter was crying every time she had Ayakon on her screen. The transformation and the crushing of her glass spears had already brought her scouter to his knees. She wanted to comfort him by turning it off, but she needed to keep this information running through her process.

Maaaaaaaaaaa…..

He is going for a Masenko. I should aid him. I think I will look for this fabled insect later on.

Her body quickly peeled to the right side of Ayakon, making it properly her going left, just as she heard..RAHHHHH!!!!! coming from Perrin. A perfect jump out the way would at the very least give Ayakon a surprise. Her eyes changed from blue to gold as she stared at the massive beam of light which headed toward the enemy changeling. She allowed a smirk to grace her features. With the two attacks heading to him from two separate beings this gave her the opening she wanted.

This is suicide

But nonetheless she was sure her scouter was in much more of a bad situation than she was about to place herself in. Her eyes went from that golden color she held from the Masenko to a red color and bursting from her eyes in nearly an instant was two thick beams of red from her eyes. Just as the beam started to fade into little beads of energy, the little droid girl’s scouter displayed the difference of Ayakon and her in distance and gave her a time frame at which it would take for her to get as close as possible to him.

She didn’t care how much her scouter begged her not to do it, she disobeyed. Using what she felt was her last burst of speed, that little engine that could disappeared out of thin air like a magician. Everything slowed down to her for that moment as she flew with all her might toward Ayakon. She studied his eyes and she saw her professional he was; his pupils were bouncing around like a bouncy ball. She stopped right as she got near him and it wasn’t for her attack.

Let the insect nap.

“Perrin is green! That makes him the insect!” It all made sense to her now. She was supposed to make sure the green man had some time to recover and that completely changed her thought process just by a slight margin. She snickered a little; she was going to tease Perrin about this later on. Since she had wasted so much time thinking she thought to only point her palm and let loose a superfast and pretty much unavoidable Mesposo strike toward his face.
She wasn’t going for damage; she was going for more distractions to give to her foe. If it were Metal against flesh which has been trained to crush such metal which would win in a back and forth non-stop fight? Obviously, it would be that flesh, but Aria didn’t want to believe that as she pulled her fist back. Her eyes flared up and her scouter beeped. Many would want to think the scouter was doing actual work at the time. Unfortunately, he was just beeping only to communicate with a near-by junk yard on scrapped metal prices.

The oversized Changeling watched his opponents scramble for their next round of attacks. Apparently they thought that he was going to continue going easy on them. They were going to learn the hard way that the Changeling's first transformation came with a certain lack of control. As his opponents sprang for their attacks, he drew himself up to his full height and prepared for their attacks.

Hearing his Changeling adversary's statement about leaving Perrin be, Ayakon shook his head and said, "Your allies are your lifeblood, Celsius! Never abandon them!" As the Celsian Lord attempted a feinting attack, Ayakon caught sight of his attempted fake-out and when Zero lashed out with his tail, Ayakon extended his leg to the side ducked down as he and delivered two extremely hard kidney punches to the Changeling adversary. As Zero retreated temporarily, Ayakon prepared for the next attack. The telegraphed elbow strike was easy enough to get beyond. With his superior speed, the Changeling slid backwards across the sand. He seemingly effortlessly evaded the bladed limb, aiming an elbow strike of his own at Zero's skull before he redirected Zero's momentum against him, throwing the lonely Lord hard into the ground. Zero recovered quickly enough to hit Ayakon with a burst of ki that smashed into the Changeling's chest armor.

Leaving Zero in the dust temporarily, Ayakon turned to Perrin who, despite his damage, had powered up to full and was charging an attack. Ayakon glared at the Namekian. The attack that he was using was one of Elder Guru's specialties, one that Ayakon had used quite often not too long ago. As he charged up his attack, Ayakon noticed the Android to his side was charging up her own attack.

The Changeling Lord had to coordinate himself quickly in order to take care of everything properly. He looked over at Perrin first as the Namekian fired the attack. With only a single hand to spare, Ayakon cupped it at his side and shouted, "Kamehame-HA!", firing it from his palm at the Masenko with the intent of sending the attack back at the Namek. While he wasn't intending on overwhelming him as he had with King Cold, Ayakon had gotten to the point where he wanted to knock the Namek out cold and figured that a reversal of energy would do that better than anything else.

Holding the burst of energy from his left hand, he kept his right free to knock away the thin beams of energy that the android was firing at him. She persevered, however, and like an annoying little wasp zipped towards him and fired a quick, weak but somehow still painful sphere of energy at the Changeling's face. Ayakon grimaced in pain as though he'd just been stung.

When the little android attempted to throw a punch at him, Ayakon shifted to the side (still holding one arm out to carefully control his Kamehameha) and delivered a hard punch to the android's face before reaching down slightly and grabbing the arm that had been offered to him, spinning around slightly and throwing her at Zero in an attempt to damage both of them and hopefully keep them both down for the count.

"I can do this all day. The three of you, I think, cannot." The Changeling said in his new deep voice. "Your respective masters didn't send you to die. You've learned much in this battle, all of you. Don't test your luck."

As always, the decision to hope for competent warrior companions on earth had ended in failure. Though the tail end of his attack had sloppily gotten off against the Brumal lord, Ayakon had neatly outmatched him in a few utilitarian strikes. Two kidney punches, which he recalled were the preferred targets of King Cold as well, left him in pain and slowed his momentum enough for Ayakon to redirect Zero’s movement. The Destroyer’s elbow made a whopping dent in Zero’s mental presence. The last son of Celsius landed on his face, but managed to roll onto his back. For reasons that were purely emotional, it felt a little less humiliating. Ayakon stood above him, but the blow to the head was putting the world in flux once more.

His venture through time and reality came back to mind. Now he was on the floor of his manner, where his entire family had abandoned him to die after he made the second choice to protect them. Above him stood his father, powering a massive blast of ki to blow him out of his life and pride. Just like in that moment, Zero was prone and severely misconfigured. Ayakon was getting more serious; those strikes were meant to hurt. Lord Celsius took a moment to collect himself, waiting for his body’s reaction to the pain to go numb. The hallucinations kept him from focus, and the flashbacks kept the world spinning. That was all without mentioning the miserable headache from his he currently suffered. Zero turned his head towards the opponent.

Ayak… Words came slowly and with difficulty. Zero could not quite perceive it, but some were even a little slurred, as though the Celsian had simply gone on a binge and now laid drunk on the sand of Roshi’s Island. Blinking deliberately, to soothe his migraine, he finally managed to blather out his surrender to the constantly shifting form in front of him. The hazier his mind became the harder it was to remember that it was Ayakon, and not his father, who stood over him.

Glacier… I’m… down…

One hand.

One hand is all it took for Ayakon to not only hold Perrin's golden beam at bay, but begin to swallow it as if it were a pin entering a cushion. He had only had a single struggle between energies, before, and it had been on even ground. If he were going to live, not allowing himself to succumb, Perrin would have to act fast.

Immediately, his beam flickered away, letting Ayakon's beam of energy loose. A rumble formulated within his throat, and released in the form of a thunderous roar; shaking and ripping apart Aya's uncharged Kamehameha wave. Though he certainly didn't have enough in him to do it again, Perrin wasn't the type to give up, regardless of the odds; and it was that belief that shocked his psyche into his final move.

While Ayakon was wrapped up in countering Aria, Perrin took the advantage. An abnormal energy welled within his stomach, oozing out in a thick and vicious way. His breathing became labored immediately as he brought both of his hands up, forming both of his hands into a triangular shape. Within the delta sign, Perrin's hands exuded an outstanding glow. His eyes settled on Aya, ready to end this; one way or another.

And then, Perrin's life changed.

Zero lay down his arms, admitting defeat. Aria was thrown like a ragdoll. Perrin truly believed that, if he sacrificed his life, he could drag this Changeling into the depths of Hell along with him; but breathed in one fact. Aria, his partner, would most likely not have entered this battle if not for him, and the pain she was going to suffer at Aya's hands was not worth victory. Seconds before the frozen fingers of death could wind their way around Perrin's heart, he released the energy he gathered for his life-ending beam, and dropped to his knees, sweat pouring down his flushed forehead.

“I yield, Changeling. Just leave Aria alone,” his voice was wary and weak. He was unsure why Kami sent him to assist Zero or fight the other changeling, but he was absolutely sure it wasnt to get himself or Aria killed, “Please.”

He was on a different level now. He was actually on this different level a while ago, but this was when he was being serious. Her fist slowly started to come down on the changeling. Aria thought this was the moment she had. Zero was attacking him from one side, but instantly he was dealt with and with too much ease to even believe in. Even then the changeling was locked in a ki battle with her comrade. She definitely was going to land her punch on Ayakon now.

That was how her thought process had gone until she saw those cold and deadly eyes plummet on her very soul. It was as if her world collapsed and her fist shook and hesitated. Her metal heart took an abnormal heart beat and suddenly she was frozen in place. Was this another moment of fear she was experiencing? Her eyes were as round as a perfect circle and her pupils were stretching out. She felt the cold flesh against her warm metal skin and she almost went insane with the difference of power she was feeling.

One hand still in a ki beam struggle; just how much concentration does this guy have? Is this the fruits of her training that Master Roshi wanted her to witness. After all Ayakon was a student of the old man at a point.

“I can get this strong?” She managed to say out loud and near Ayakon. After coming to such a realization she smiled. Now she knew there was no way she would win this fight. Even if ‘they’ won, what as the point of such a victory when Ayakon could hold his own against all of them? This was amazement to her. Before she was completely thrown she whispered to Ayakon.

“Thank you”

Her heavy body was thrown and she felt her back smashing into something before she hit the ground roughly. Her body shield cracked under the pressure of the blow but that saved her from losing consciousness. She slowly gathered herself to her feet after a few minutes of lying there. She got up to seeing Perrin surrendering. So Perrin was worried about her, but she didn’t know how to take those words.

Was she starting to become a burden to Perrin?

”It goes without saying. I also surrender”
