Aimee was put inside an empty tomb filled with stone blocks. She watched as Ja'vel magically moved a block of stone and sealed the entrance, and as he did, the tomb began to fill up with darkness.

It was black. Pitch black. The girl gathered some ki into her palms and formed a ball of light. She used her mind to keep it condensed together and allowed it to leave her palm and float in the air.

"That'll do it. Now I have some light."

The light from the ki ball radiated and filled up the whole room, giving her the light she needed to complete her task. And this was the easy part. Now it was on to using her telekinetic mind to move the blocks without them falling in upon her. She focused her mind on Ja'vel and attempted to meld her mind with his.

"You want further instruction, do you now. Alright then. No harm done. About this task. One more time, then you will be on your own. This is no ordinary task. You can only use your telekinetic powers only, and you must use them to move the blocks. And not only just move the blocks but to also make sure that the tomb doesn't cave in upon itself when you do. Otherwise your mission fails. And you will get injured. Maybe. Maybe not. Doesn't matter. What makes this quest interesting is that I have set it up in such a way as to make it like a puzzle. There was some entrance pieces that will allow you to begin, and as you begin to unfold the tomb and move the blocks you will realize it isn't that simple. You need to be careful. Good luck to you."

Hmm. Now all I need to do is to find one of the blocks to begin this quest. Aimee looked around at the many different blocks and pondered which one to begin. She looked at the ceiling. Should she begin with the corner stone at the top? Nope. She decided against it. She looked at the sides. All the pieces looked equal.

Time to test the telekinetic powers and see how unstable everything is.

Aimee focused her mind at one of the blocks in front of her. She pushed it forward and it didn't seem to move. She then focused her mind to pull it out, and as she slowly started to pull it with a tug using her mind a quacking noise could be heard, followed by dust and small debris from the ceiling falling down to the ground. Aimee wiped the dust from off her head and decided to check all the blocks.

No, not this one. Or that one, She said, playing around with block after block. Eventually she found one that didn't make the roof seem like it would cave in after she moved it a few inches.

This one looks safe. I'll give it a try. The girl took her sweet time to pull it out. Even after it was half way removed nothing happened. Then the whole block came out. Aimee used the force of her mind to propel it in the air in a similar fashion as bukujitsu allows herself to propel her body up into the air using ki to push against the ground. As she raised the block, she felt a heaviness overcome her mind, causing her to drop the block. It fell to the ground and smashed into several pieces.

"Fuck. Moving things with my mind is going to be much more difficult than I imagined." Aimee walked over to the rock, picked up one of the pieces and examined it's weight. She was curious since it seemed light in her hand yet very heavy in her mind.

"No problem. I just need to train my mind to become stronger. I suppose this is also what this trial is about."

Aimee clenched her fist and shot it forward. She opened her palm and focused her mind on taking out the two blocks above the gap in the wall. She could feel the weight taking a toll on her mind and causing her stress and strain when she exerted her mental force against the blocks.

'It is only two blocks. I can do it,' she thought. She watched as the two blocks slowly came out. Everything seemed well at first. When she pulled both blocks out, she held them with her mind and pulled them down to the ground, then gently put them next to her.

After that she took a deep breath and bend down. Then she exhaled and relaxed.

'That was more difficult than I thought. So far so good. I thought this quest would be more difficult.'

The girl looked ahead at the tunnel she had created. Standing outside was Ja'viel. He smiled and motioned for her to come out.

"I did as you asked, so did I pass?"

"I still have one more task for you."

"You do?"

"Yes. I just wanted to see how well you could use your powers before the actual test."

Aimee's eyes widened. "'Actual test'?"

"So, before I get into it, how did you find using your telekinetic powers to move the blocks?"

"It was a bit of a struggle, like lifting weights. I could feel the stress overwelm my body, but otherwise it felt good."

"Good. The test you're about to do is dangerous. The tomb will actually cave in if you move the wrong blocks. And this time the blocks will be smaller. And the tomb will be bigger. Your job will be to get out. And unlike the last one, there will be more blocks, rubble and debris to borrow ourself out of. Do you think you can handle this test?"

"Yeah," Aimee replied, confident. She beamed a smile and nodded.

"Alright, so let's get on it, grasshopper! I believe in you," Said Ja'vel, encouraging Aimee. He motioned for her to step forward, even bowing with hand motions for emphasis.

Aimee hurried back into the tomb and, once she was inside, turned to face the wise man.

"Ready?"

"Ready," Aimee called back. She then watched him unleash a fury of hand motions. Suddenly the tomb became sealed once more. She also heard the sound of rocks crashing down.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Boom. Crash. Tumble. Crash. Crack. Rustle. Boom. Thud. Thud. Thud.

Aimee quickly went to work. She focused her mind on the blocks sealing the gap that previously allowed her to exit the tomb. She pulled the blocks forward, rose them into the air, and placed them on top of the three other blocks that she had moved earlier. She then looked back at the tunnel entrance only to find rocks and other debris covering the entrance.

'I'm game,' She thought to herself with a confident grin. Aimee pulled the debris toward her, but to her dismay it moved forward like a landslide and engulfed the tunnel entrance.

"fuuuck!" She cursed out loud. She then realized this could prove to be a vexing task that would be a lot more difficult than she envisioned.

Aimee walked up to the debris and had a closer look. Lots of fine and snaller rocks.

'Hmm. I'll need to be careful. I learned my lesson. Can't rush this task."

Aimee began to use her mind to pick up rocks. She started off with the smaller ones and, when she saw that the debris still stayed where it was, began to move the bigger once. Slow she began to clear the tunnel, moving the rocks and bigger ones to the side.

Now that the tunnel was cleared, she had to be careful or else the tunnel would cave in. She continued to dig her tunnel even deeper into the debris. Eventually the rocks she moved became bigger and bigger. This was like a game of Jenga, where you started off with a solid structure and slowly made the tower even higher by taking a piece and positioning it on top of the structure.

*******

Conclusion:

As Aimee dug her way out of the tomb using her telekinetic powers, she eventually came to bigger rocks. The bigger rocks became bigger and it became even more difficult to make her way out of the tomb. Eventually she made her way out safely. Ja'vel congratulated her for a quest well done and invited her to join him for an afternoon meal.

Ja'vel led Aimee down through the corridors of the temple. As they moved she admired the interior and the design of it. Her stomach rumbled.

'grrrrrrrrr'

"Come to think of it, I am pretty hungry!"

Ja'vel turned his head to glance at the human. "I thought you would be, so I went ahead and had lunch prepared before hand."

"Sounds good. That was nice of you."

They both continued to walk through the temple and soon arrived to a large room. It was a cafe, which a finely polished oak interior along with ferns decorating the interior. Harp music was playing and there was a fridge nearby along with cupboards and drawers. A kitchen was also in the room.

"This is our casual eating room, where we have our breakfasts, lunches. Not our dinners. Our dinners are more of a formal affair, though we do sometimes eat dinner in here when it is deemed to be casual. Much like your customs on Earth, no?"

Ja'vel walked over to a bridge, took out a plate with cheese, crackers and spinach dip. He opened the cupboard and took out a glass of wine.

"Wine and cheese! Straight from Earth, from West City."

He popped the cork from the bottle of wine and poured the red liquid into two wine glasses.

"Please take a seat Aimee. Sit anywhere you like," The wise man said from where he stood in the open ended kitchen. Aimee took her seat at a table next to a wall. Near her seat was a fern.

"Where did you guys get these ferns from?"

"From Earth, my dear." Ja'vel called out. Aimee watched him leave the kitchen with the stuff in hand and the glasses of wine along with the bottle, on a tray, and walk over to where she sat. He placed the stuff on the table and then proceeded to sit down.

"I have another test for you," Revealed Ja'vel as he took a sip from his glass of wine.

"What kind of challenge do you have in mind?"

Ja'vel leaned back in his seat. "I've seen what you can do. You completed the easy task of using your telekinetic powers to free yourself from a tomb of rock and stone blocks. You still have a lot to improve on, but it is a start. I'm confident enough now to challenge you to a battle of telekinetic arts. Do you feel your up to it?"
