Hercule landed just outside of the massive warship, the Codex, with both of his boots touching down simultaneously upon the thick concrete pad that supported it. It was the first time the human had ever set eyes upon Rubic's mode of transport and he took a few seconds, looking it up and down and from side to side, to take in its overwhelming mass. Then, once having enough, he made his way over to an entrance ramp that descended from the center of the crafts under side.

Once inside of the component and screen filled bay, Herc looked around for the robot Rubic. The Champ had scheduled a special training session between the two. They'd had a couple of encounters before and each time Satan could help but notice the quality of skill that was product of those meetings. That was the main reason he was back for more. Mister Satan was particularly concerned with with his ki attacks and that was to be the topic of the days session.

There was only one thing though..... he couldn't find the artificial anywhere.

"Yo! Rubic, are you here," Herc called out as he turned a corner and proceeded down a corridor.

The Codex was a marvel of engineering as far as human technology was concerned. Utilizing images and knowledge on the proud Saiyans and their powerful warships, the Earth Defense Forces had attempted to build a ship that was capable of performing the same functions as a Saiyan Warship with about two thirds the bulk, attempting to emulate the battle prowess of the inspiration without sacrificing much in the way of crew space. The original product of this was the Remora-class Cruiser, a relatively powerful ship in its own right, but due to the limitations inherent in its design, it only possessed about half the firepower of a regular Saiyan Warship while holding on to the rugged and plentiful space for training simulators and crew quarters. Judged a failure, the Earth Defense Forces had moved on to other projects to more effectively emulate the battle prowess of the Saiyan Warbirds, however, they continued to produce Remoras in relatively small numbers for troop training and transport. The Codex was one such Remora-Class Cruiser, capable of transporting many soldiers to a battlefield, though it was horribly under gunned for its class.

Regardless, Rubic had been assigned a Remora-Class Cruiser for his uses in the event he would need to travel through space to different planets on assignments, though to be honest, the android had not needed the use of the ship until recently. At the moment, Rubic was currently overseeing the crew of the ship as well as the operations of the ship, making sure that everything was in tip-top shape in the event that the ship would be needed. If current events were any indication, that time might be soon.

Eventually, however, Rubic was informed of someone’s arrival on the ship, the world-renown martial arts champion, Hercule. Of course, Rubic deterred from his normal schedule in order to meet with Hercule and conduct a training session with the human, more for the human to learn more about combat, but Rubic had estimated that there was a chance that he himself could learn more about Hercule in combat.

As such, Rubic eventually found Hercule wandering around the corridors of the ship. After a brief conversation, Rubic led Hercule to the impressive simulator room on board the Codex, millions of holographic emitters lining the walls of the room. With merely a nod, the android was able to simulate the environment to any Hercule wished to fight in. When the task was done, Rubic assumed a combat stance and waited for Hercule to make the first strike. “Begin Simulation.”

After a short while of of searching the maze like ship, Herc finally found his robotic friend, Rubic, or perhaps it was the other way around. Anyway, the Champ greeted the walking computer with a smile and an extended hand.

"Rubic! How's it going man," he said as he connected his hand with the droid's cold, metallic grip.

Rubic's grasp was unexpectedly strong, crushing the humans hand as soon as the friendly gesture commenced. Herc managed to curl a strange smile up the side of his cheek, but on the inside he screamed like a little girl. His hand felt as if it was a toy car that was in the process of being crumpled by monster truck. The battle bot's sheer strength never ceased to amaze the world's champion.

After recoiling his throbbing appendage, he subdued the pain and followed Rubic to the most amazing battle sim room that he had ever seen. He couldn't help but notice all of the the devices that lined the wall. He had a pretty decent hunch as to what they were, but he still had to ask.

"Are those holographic projectors I see," he asked, marvelling like a kid in a candy shop.

"Affirmative! What is your scene preference," Rubic responded.

"Hmm...," Hercule thought it out for a brief second before replying with his choice. "How about the beach? With lots of hot babes around! Can that happen?"

The android simply gave a nod and.... Boom, the room morphed from a shiny metal cube and into a beautiful beach scene. Herc couldn't believe his eyes and blinked twice to confirm what he was looking at. The sight was was the most magnificent and perfect scape anyone could imagine. The sound was all there; sea gulls squawking, the noise of the tide crashing in, the sound of fun and laughter, and everything to boot. Even the smell and taste of salt was present in the air. Finally, squishing his feet up and down, he realized that even the sand felt real. It was more than the Champ could comprehend in just a few seconds and he could have spent all day experiencing the sensations, but there was training to be done.

As Mister Satan cut his eyes back to he training partner, he realized that it was already in a fighting pose and ready to go. Hercule slipped into his stance as well and locked eyes with his combatant.

"Okay Rubic, today I wanna work on perfecting the aim and technique of my kind attacks. So, in just a second I'll launch a simple blast and I want you to dodge or block it and let me know what you think. Okay," Satan commanded.

"Noted. Simulation begin," was the artificial response.

The Champ then straighted his posture and extended his right hand forward. He exhaled a slow breath and the us his inner kind to form a small orb of energy in the middle of his flattened palm. "Ha," he exclaimed as he fired the glowing attack, doing his best to target Rubic.

The scenery around them was certainly fitting with the martial arts champion’s desires. According to Rubic’s calculations, it would be quite aesthetically pleasing to the organic eye, with the sea crashing against the shores of sand, with the various holographic civilians running to and fro in their bikinis. Most of what made this place pleasurable though went right over the android’s head, mostly due to the fact that Rubic was far more focused on the training at hand. Rubic understood why Hercule was here, and all in all, Rubic deactivated most of his aggression modes and focused on defense. If Hercule was here to practice his ki techniques, the robot would at least ensure the human had the opportunity to do so.

Eventually, the world champion began to focus his ki, his chest deflating from exhalation, but his muscles bulged all the same from concentration. Even now, Rubic could follow the paths and patterns of Hercule’s blood flow, noting an increase in his body’s metabolism as he focused his energy into a projectile, muscles twitching ever so slightly in order to fully control the orb of energy. Then, the orb was launched in Rubic’s direction, the attack traveling straight and accurately. However, Rubic moved only one arm in defense, slapping away the attack into a harmless direction into the sea. Normally, one would be worried about one of the holographic projectors being damaged by the ki blast, but each was heavily shielded against such attacks, resulting in little to no collateral damage. This facility was meant to take a beating, after all.

“Calculating. Focus energy towards center of energy orb. Do not focus on target, but rather, focus aim and speed to go through the target. The resulting Placebo effect, as well as additional momentum, will speed the energy attack faster. Speed and accuracy is more important than sheer power,” The android informed Hercule, the synthetic warrior barely moving from his defensive stance. “Focusing of energy should not be with fingers, but with wrist and forearm muscles. You have greater strength in those regions of your arm than your hand, which will allow you greater control over the projectile as you are launching the attack.”

Hercule sighed as his he watched his energy blast get knocked away by the battle droid, Rubic. His aim was close, but there was still something he was missing. There was something that he wasn't getting. He was slightly frustrated by his attempt and as he pulled his cannon back toward his body, he straightened his posture and placed his hands upon his hips.

"Damn it! I don't get it?!? What am I doing wrong Rubic," he asked almost desperately.

As if the battle bot was prompted to do so, it instantly began spouting instructions and critiques about his form and technique. The Champ listened intently and did not want to miss a single word that was given. He had no problems with receiving instructions, in fact he welcomed the useful advice that was given to him. That was what separated him from a lot of the other humans that were masters of the martial arts. A lot of those guys were no it all's and that's why they were weak and not the champion of the world.

After listening to the instructions, Herc confidently reformed his fighting position and slowly concentrated on his inner ki. He breathed very slowly and fell the warm energy rise up and into his hand to were an orb of ki formed. He then remembered what Rubic had told him and focused primarily on his wrist and not his fingers. With the information still fresh in his mind, he fired off the ki blast and launched it Rubic's way. Everything about it felt better, even from take off. The blast was straight and true. The training droid was truly a good instructor.
