When are we eating?

[Champ LvII & C-Rune] Starrk didn't generally search the astral realm for partners. He was generally in the habit of sleeping all day in the gravity chamber and, due to the proximity to Ayakon's old astral gem, was occasionally dragged into the astral realm in his sleep and forced to fight against people. He would generally choose to fight rather than just sit there, mostly because when people came to the astral realm they were looking for a challenge, and Starrk figured it would be more bothersome to remain completely still until they left. Such is the thought process of Coyote Starrk. So as his subconscious thoughts transferred him into the realm of the mind, he found himself waking up in the dead forests of his own Hell Realm. The trees here were technically alive, if that's what you wanted to call them, but they still looked to be rotted out and decrepit, and were definitely worse for the wear after several millennia without sunlight. It was simply the fact that they couldn't die that kept them alive. Laying on the stiff uncomfortable dirt for a while, he began to feel a power level signaling that someone had joined him. He couldn't quite pick up how strong it was yet, but knew that someone was in the realm with him. Figuring they could probably see him, he elected not to pretend to be asleep and raised an arm, saying, "I'm here." He didn't get up yet, however, because… well he wasn't going to do that until it was absolutely necessary. The demon's power was probably noticeable before his actual physical sight, since he was laying on the ground. But since Starrk couldn't suppress to his base form, he was always pushing more towards full power than anything else. This wasn't meant to be an aggressive display, but rather was due to the fact that he couldn't not. WC: 309 Actions in no particular order... 1. Majin 2. Lay there. 3. Lay there some more. 4. Consider laying there some more and then do it. Tact. (0/2) |

[Saiyan stuff + Combat Rune] Kakarot's boredom was getting the best of him once again. Training hour after hour, day after day without a real challenge to break a sweat over was maddening. Donning his usual black armor, he stood just outside his ship where it was parked along with his fellow brothers' ships on a large island. Silent Lee was still inside the ship, standing still as a statue after an intense training session. That alien was the only thing even mildly entertaining when there wasn't anything else to look at. Something needs to go down. Like, now. At that thought, he felt a pulsing vibration on his chest where his black gem was embedded in his armor. He grinned and remained motionless as the gem took him away to the Astral Realm. Once he arrived, he took in the dark, twisted environment and searched for his opponent. For once, he put no thought into where he hoped to spar or who he wanted as his opponent. The gem must have done all the work. Or was it my opponent. Whoever it is has good taste. He waited just a moment to see if his opponent would jump out and surprise him. Since no one appeared, he split himself in two and sent his clone off to his right to search for anyone waiting. Before long, both Kakarots heard someone call out and make their presence known. It sounded lazy and nonchalant, so it was a safe assumption that either the opponent wasn't taking the spar serious at all, or he was all powerful and just wanted to get it over with. Either way is fine with me. The clone of Kak was the first to spot their opponent and stepped from behind a twisted tree. He stared down the waiting warrior and waited. WC= 300 |

Starrk looked up at the warrior that appeared. He'd felt his energy split up but could still feel a surprising amount of power emanating from him. From his hair and general appearance, he got the sense that this was a Saiyan warrior. "You're a Saiyan huh? I killed a Saiyan earlier this week. He was really weak. And last week too, there was one. He was all rage and no power. Are you guys still the most powerful race or did I miss something?" Letting out a tired sigh, he then said, "You probably want to fight... That's usually why people come here." And then he was standing up. There was no visible in between, he was simply standing up with his hand on the hilt of his blade. He'd apparently felt enough power from his Saiyan opponent that he knew not to take him lightly, despite his remark about the Saiyans becoming much weaker. With a flash of his sword he struck a diagonal slice across the form of the Saiyan that he could see. Following that, he re-sheathed his blade in the same moment a sphere of bright blue energy charged in the center of his chest. He murmured, "Kamehameha." The energy expanded immensely in a single instant, and fired off into a beam headed straight for the warrior. Almost as quickly as the attack had been launched, he glanced behind him and said, "There are two of you. The multi-form spell right?" He held his palm straight out behind him, firing bursts of wild energy at the dried out trees in order to start a fire and smoke out the other half of the warrior. He turned back to the original fighter and straightened up, turning sideways as was his traditional stance against an opponent. Doing so kept him a slimmer target and allowed him to move as quickly as he needed to in order to dodge or evade his opponents. WC: 326 TWC: 635 1. ST+Weapon Attack (Spd: Dafuq) 2. Charge 3. "What corner of the universe are you from? You obviously don't know who I am," Kakarot replied. When the sword strike came, the Saiyan warrior didn't flinch. He quickly bent his knees and pushed off to his right in a white blur, barely avoiding the strike. He wasn't a fan of weapons anymore, though he still had a collection of his old toys aboard his ship. Then, a bright blur light coming from his opponent kept him from getting lost in thought as he had a bad habit of doing. One day it would get him killed in a most violent manner. The blue wave required a bit more speed with which to dodge, so Kakarot moved in a blue blur to his left, leaving an afterimage in his wake. The beam passed through the hazy figure and struck a group of trees, shattering them into wooden chunks flying in the air. It was then time for the Kak clone to react to their opponent's next attack. With ease, the second Kak met each ki blast with one of his own, causing an impressive explosion between the triangle of combatants. Still moving at twice his normal speed, the first Kak placed his hands shoulder width apart over his chest. His clone moved with equal speed right next to him, leaving another blue afterimage behind. He then mimicked the motions over his own chest. I've always wanted to do this. A massive, bright golden orb formed in front of each Kak's chest before they merged them together. Their eyes stung from the golden beam forming after having adjusted to the dark environment. Once the orb was ready, both Kaks fired the beam in perfect unison, sending the wide beam toward their target in an attempt to swallow him whole. Once it was released, they dropped their hands and took in deep breaths, once again in perfect unison. There had been something that Starrk had been destined to see. In the world so separated from his own, and with his full potential drained from the transfer to this dimension, it was bound to occur eventually, and just happened to happen now. He'd found someone faster than him. Rather than throw a bitch fit or simply lose the ability to comprehend what was happening, he took it in stride that he needed to step his game up. As the two golden beams smashed into him, it seemed to destroy him. However, from the center of the explosion came a sound much louder than the blast itself. A deep, resounding, "No." And the ki that had threatened to envelop the demon was knocked away by sheer ki energy that grew around the warrior and crackled like lightning, his aura glowing white as his full potential had been released. Starrk stared at his opponent in an almost deadly glare then casually dropped his head and scratched the back of his neck, "Goodness. I've met someone who's pretty powerful. How bothersome." He extended his hand from his original position and pointed it at the first half of the Saiyan warrior, thumb extended upwards as though he were mimicking a gun. At the last moment, his body blurred with speed and he appeared much closer to the warrior. The tip of his finger glowed with energy for a split second before Starrk said, "Colosal Ion beam." The beam fired from his finger tip and hit something. It didn't matter what, it would hit something eventually. The resulting explosion would level the forest. Not done with his offensive attacks, Starrk composed himself and moved through the explosion, gathering up to spinning discs of ki with relative ease and firing them off towards the opposing Saiyan's ki signature. It was difficult to tell whether he'd be able to deal any real damage, but his show of power was only beginning. As the explosion settled, Starrk was standing completely still with his hand on his blade, ready for whatever was happening next. He was sure something like that wouldn't take out a warrior of this magnitude, but if he'd caught him by surprise, he hoped that he'd at least winged him. "You'll have to forgive me for not knowing you," Starrk finally offered, "I'm not really from here. Starrk." The last word was apparently his name. Or he'd simply found something very obvious. I should have seen that coming, Kakarot thought as he saw his attack dealt with in a most simple way. Both Kaks witnessed the increase in power from their opponent. Their reaction was that of sincere interest, simply because it was no surprise that he was holding back. Both Kaks tried getting out of the way of the beam, jumping away toward their own sides. Unfortunately, they were both clipped on their sides as they dodged, the impact sending them several yards away from each other. That much didn't matter, and they quickly became one, significantly powerful warrior once again. That bastard. The Cosmic Butcher was done screwing around. There was better things to do on Namek and for some reason, this guy just rubbed him the wrong way. Sure, he showed skill. Sure, he had confidence that seemed to be lacking in many of Kakarot's astral opponents. What rubbed the Saiyan warrior the wrong way, however, was hard to point out. It might have been a combination of those things. Either way, he wanted to get back to his ship on the shit hole of a planet, Namek. He knew he couldn't die in the Astral Realm, so he wanted to leave his opponent on one last thrill ride. As two energy discs went for him, he grinned and stared them down. One energy disc struck his abdomen, getting stuck and continuously ripping apart his insides. The second energy discs collided with the first, causing it to go deeper into Kakarot's abdomen and severing the nerves in his spine. The pain he felt was indescribable until he finally lost feeling and faded from the dark forest. He awoke outside of his ship, gasping for air and running his hands over his abdomen where he had suffered what would have been a fatal wound. He would remember the man's name, Starrk. Should he see him again, he would introduce him to a whole new world of pain. WC= 616 + 327 = 943/1,000 |
