One of Kami's hands rested upon Perrin's cape covered shoulder and the other upon his staff, “Hmm. Outside of West City. There is a Saiyan. Test him.” “The same way I tested Zero?” Perrin knelt down on the edge of Kami's tower, his fingers grazing the tile gently. Kami nodded, providing Perrin with permission to go. Quickly, he leapt from the tower's edge, and streaked across the sky, so high above the clouds. Immediately, a flush of energy rippled through Perrin's body and propelled him across the sky at terrific speeds. Before long, Perrin neared the city and let his energy flutter away, simply dropping from the skies. Air pounded Perrin's eardrums as he fell to the Earth, breaking his fall at the last second with a ripple of energy, which placed him gently onto the balls of his feet. All around him, dense forestry thrived. Thick tree roots protruded from the ground and wound their way around mossy stone. Foliage filtered light away from the rough forest bed, bathing Perrin in darkness. Step by step, the Namekian's heavy boots clattered against the ground, scraping peat from its resting place and snapping fallen twigs and branches. His ears peeled back against his head, beckoning and toying with the musical sounds in the air. He toyed with the symphony, tuning out various pieces of the chorus until he could single out the closest thing to humanoid footsteps as he could. His head drifted up, turning against his neck to follow the sound, and thus he hunted the Saiyan precariously. His long, sleeveless robe hung below the tops of his boots, warming him against the damp air. Various scents drifted through his nostrils; some heavy and earthy, while others were light and sweet. A sigh escaped his jade lips, breaking them apart in a gentle smile. On Namek, nature was in abundance, and he had missed it. Kami had sent him to this forest to observe a Saiyan, and although it were quite an odd place to find a Saiyan, Perrin would follow his Elder's direction. He would test his target's power and ambition and determine the best course of action from there. Calmly, his hand gathered his robe and tugged it about his body, continuing his search. Kale wandered through the thick brush of the forest in seek of the exit he had been told about. By this point he had followed the path the being who introduced himself as Android 16 had made out into a portion of the forest where the sounds of the city could faintly be heard. It had been some time since that meeting, however, because Kale needed time to think and recover. Step by step brought Kale closer to the city, but slowly the steps seemed to start echoing. "What in the world?" Kale asked himself, and came to a halt as soon as he entered a small clearing. He looked all around the area, and listened carefully; someone else had to be here. They had to be close, and all the time Kale spent in these woods recent made him certain of that fact. "Who are you? Come out, and show yourself!" A simple shout with a strong tone performed during a shift into a basic fighting stance. One little defeat was not enough to break Kale's confidence, and he was already more than prepared to deal with whoever or whatever might come out at him this time. "If whoever this is wants a fight, they won't win. There can't be that many people stronger than me around here. I've always been the strongest." Kale thought silently as he awaited an answer. Little by little, Perrin combed through the forest, following little more than whispers amongst a battalion of noise. Finally, as if answering against the odds, a voice echoed through the forestry, beckoning Perrin towards its owner. Perrin stepped into sight of the young Saiyan, his body swathed in white and black. His eyes scanned Kale momentarily as he adjusted his cape and robe back to expose his black clothing and jade arms from beneath. In what little bit of light that shined through the thick branches, a well polished gauntlet shined. Finally, the Namek's silence broke. “You must be who Kami-Sama sent me to seek out,” He spoke plainly as a faint glow covered his body, swirling and coming to an accumulation within his palm. The energy solidified into a bright glow, expelling more light around them than naturally filtered there. Little by little, the ball grew to surround his fist, and finally expanded into a spiking ball of power. For a moment, it stayed just so, until finally tightening into his skin. Suddenly, Perrin bolted towards Kale, his long arm swinging around for the Saiyan's abdomen. Immediately, Perrin's heels locked against the ground, providing him with a momentous shift. From left heel to right toe, Perrin spun around his opponent's body, where his other fist thrust for his opponent's spine, twice. Finally, with a flourish, Perrin spun around in a complete circle, his leg twisting around for a swift kick. He constantly pulled his power back, with no intention of causing any real damage to Kale. “Kami-Sama said to test you...” he stated, breathing deeply, “Let us hope you don't disappoint.” WC: 274/651 A1: Blast Punch (17,289pl) A2: QAx2 (2xJab) A3: SA (Roundhouse)

Kale's eyes carefully scanned the area, watching, waiting for any sign of life; soon they finally spotted it. A jade skinned being, coated in white and black; such a strange sight. At least for Kale. There was no time to worry about that for now, though; the atmosphere around the area already reeked with the desire to fight. "Who the hell is this Kami? and why does he know about me?" Kale questioned with lingering memories of the monstrous man from his past running through his mind; perhaps Kami was that mans name. It was unlikely, but this jade skinned being knowing of his presence here was enough to concern him. "You don't waste any time." A simple comment spoken seconds before Perrin's rush, and that rush was a fast one. Expecting a sudden attack, Kale quickly shifted his weight, and slid a foot back to side step the first punch. Kale attempted to follow up that shift, but Perrin appeared to be too fast; causing a small surge of pain to move throughout Kale's spine as two jabs met their mark. In a matter of seconds a kick followed up the jabs, and found its way into Kale's freshly exposed side; nearly causing him to wince from the sheer surprise of it. "Disappoint this," Kale said sharply with a strong attitude as he flew up into the air, and with a flick of his wrists, two balls of light rushed down toward Perrin. Both seemed to explode over Perrin; covering him in smoke. A quick shift in Kale's weight mid-air, and a soft glow of light in his palms sent out another two balls of light toward Perrin; one for each of his sides. Suddenly, immediately following the beam balls, a faint glow coated Kale's body as he took off through the air around Perrin and charged with great speed and strength through the smoke toward where Perrin's spine was last seen; aiming to slam into it full force. The first two balls of energy collided, dousing Perrin in a smokescreen, and though most likely meant to cover up Kale's next attack, the veil was not needed. The second set of balls rounded in on his sides, and Perrin had no intention of budging for the warrior of such cocky blood. It took mere seconds for the two balls to pierce the cloud of smoke and, after slamming into their target, expel a heated explosion. As the dust settled down a bit, clearing way for Kale's attack, a shimmering blue case of pure energy wrapped and warped Perrin and the area within a foot radius of his body. A tight smirk tugged his jaden lips upwards, providing a gleaming opal smile. His head turned slightly to the right with Kale's explosive approach, but it was ended before Kale could make contact. Perrin spun on his heel, relying on Kale's speed to place him close enough to lace his index and thumb around the boy's peachy wrist and, with a heave, topple the boy over his own body and across the peat matted forest floor, effectively countering the boy's attack. However, Perrin had no intention of stopping there. While he would not cause the Saiyan any permanent damage, unless he proved to intentionally have ill intentions, he would not spare him incapacitation. His long and muscular arm stalked the boy closely, his large hand balling into a solid fist. However the boy landed from Perrin's judo throw, he would be greeted with Perrin's abnormally elastic appendage. Kale's eyes widened as the jade smirk appeared on Perrin's face as if he were unphased, and suddenly Kale was left feeling like a ball as his body was thrown and bounced around uncontrollably. As if the throw wasn't enough to warrant this feeling, in came a fist out of nowhere that struck Kale the second he tried to get up, and the moments that followed were beyond Kale's ability to even follow; it was all just too quick and painful. "Unreal" Just that one word found its way out sometime during all the attacks. Soreness and pain flowed through Kale's body like his own blood by this point, but that would not be enough to stop him; determination had already set in too strongly for that. Kale's arms slowly dropped to his side, and his hands began to glow. "Enough of this!" Kale shouted as each of his arms lifted into a throw, hurling two beam balls toward Perrin, each of which would seemingly miss at first glance but they each crashed into the base of the trees causing a large one to start falling. Kale quickly took off into the air and sped around to meet with the tree, and send it tumbling down over Perrin. Knowing that still wasn't enough, Kale pushed himself off the Tree after the impact, and flipped through the air; hands glowing as he fired off a barrage of 4 more beam balls all without any delay or hesitation. There was no intent to kill behind any of these attacks, not even a hint of one; just pure frustration and an incredibly strong desire to win. ![]() (I'll put a better picture up later. I wanted to do it but I got super lazy near the end -_-) You two make it tough on me. You just had to make me the judge, huh? Okay well lets get to the RP Award. For now my boy Perrin will be snagging it and I think the deciding factor in that has been his wordplay. I grasp the sensations of grass against my ankles when I read him walking through it. It was close nonetheless, so don't get me wrong. Kale you were just a small difference away from it; you might take the next one.

Another set of low class balls of energy whizzed towards Perrin, spiraling around one another before colliding with the base of a tree behind him, sending the monstrous oak tumbling. For a moment, as the bolts of energy missed him, he gazed in wonderment. Try as he might, Perrin couldnt understand why his Earthen Elder had sent him to gauge this monkey. Regardless of his reasons, Perrin could not bring himself to question the man who's arts hard assisted in taming his inner demon. Caught unaware in his own thought, Perrin barely returned to the battle in time to watch as Kale collided with the tree, sending the wooden avalanche raining down upon him. His brow crowned downwards, bending and breaking over the bridge of his nose as both of his arms braced against his body. With both hands sprawled open, palms bared, the Namekian took the tree head on, locking his feet in place. Wood splintered against his hardened body and, feeling the results shake through him roughly, Perrin released himself in a furious expulsion of power. Moss ripped from the ground below his body and wood splintered apart within his hands, disintegrating in a cloud of sawdust. Four more balls of purity slammed into his chest, barely causing Perrin to stagger back a single step as he released his true power. Finally, breathing deeply to adjust his body to the sudden alterations, he disappeared from sight. With the faintest of signals to let Kale know he had appeared behind him, Perrin released his focused attack. Both of his hands launched masterfully in his customized art form. His right hand, flat and palm up, struck forward, pinpointing a spot on Kale's back where his ribs split from his spine. His right hand extended further, diving in to collide with Kale's liver with a straight-edged chop. Energy resounded and reverberated from his hands, so much so that the very ground quaked softly to the tune of Perrin's inner song. It was the first time he had the opportunity to use his newly developed technique in combat, and knowing the effects it was designed to have on an opponent's body, it very well could be the last time he would be given the chance to use it this day. If not for seeing it with his own eyes, Kale would think the scene unfolding before him were impossible. Everything he threw at Perrin hit its mark beautifully. The tree, the blasts, everything; yet it barely even seemed to bruise him. Having become so shocked by the scene, Kale nearly failed to notice Perrin appeared behind him, and just as he turned around the attack struck him full force with a devastating impact. With his eyes wide, and everything seeming to slow down Kale coughed up a little blood and stumbled back. The stumble would only take seconds to anyone else, but for Kale it seemed like minutes as his eyes slowly scanned over Perrin and the forest. Nearly everything appeared to be a jade green, or a wood brown; even Perrin's skin held that jade color. It was sickening, and easily enough to ruin the peaceful and relaxing elements of the forest clearing this entire fight had nearly destroyed. Time slowly began to appear normal to Kale once again as he nearly dropped down onto his knees while hunching over and holding his hand over the core of his body. "I... can't.." Kale said with slow, heavy breaths. He didn't know who he was fighting, or how this mysterious jade skinned fighter would react, but he knew surrendering would be his only chance at survival now; and that had to be better than simply surrendering to death its self. "I can't... go on anymore." Kale refused to fall completely down onto his knees, he would not bow to this man, and he would not fail to stand on his own feet; that'd be even worse than admitting his defeat. The sun began to set as night fall approached, and Kale awaited the reaction of his jade foe; a reaction that would decide Kale's fate. WC: 305/1138 ---------- 1) --- 2) --- 3) --- Ki used: 5.8% |

His reverberating blow struck home, felling his opponent in a single blow. Heated energy continued to pour out of him, his body temperature overly hot. A wrinkle of amazement rippled through Perrin's face as he watched Kale fall, yet refuse to collapse to his knees, “Saiyans are such a destructively proud race,” he muttered softly, barely a whisper to Kale's ears. His hand outstretched, resting upon Kale's shoulder. The energy rippling through him could be felt through Kale's skin, warm and soothing, “I believe I've found out what Kami-Sama wanted to know. You need not fear for your life. I understand the fear of being alone, and not knowing.” Perrin slowly backed away from Kale and began to turn towards the direction of wince he came, his hand raising up to wave to Kale as he walked away, “Stick to your path. You'll find your way out of the darkness. Just try to learn some humility. You never know what wolves wait to devour you outside of his forest.” Within moments, the shadows of the forest swallowed Perrin, leaving Kale all alone to himself, and he made his exit quietly, his feet dancing across the forest floor without so much as a snap of a twig.
