[Saiyan Gains] Chishan was floating in a tube of healing goo. There was no doubt it felt funny but he was unconscious so it didn't matter. Around his neck was fashioned an odd metal necklace, something one of his saviors had surely created for him. And hanging from the claw attached at the end was his Gem of Telepathy. It was dull for a moment, the thick blue liquid bubbling around it. But someone demanded a spar and the gem responded. As its core began to blow with a pale blue hue, the Saiyan it was attached to was transported spiritually to a brand new battlefield. His eyes opened. He was standing on a wide metal platform, railings running along the sides. Dark smoke billowed around the large beam, from the active volcano down below. Chishan moved over to the railing and looked down, heated air rushing up to greet him. He pulled his head back, his nose wrinkling uncomfortably. Across from him, a powerful presence began to appear out of nothingness. It caught the Saiyan's attention immediately, as he recognized the source of the power... "Well, look who it is." WC: 189 |

[Saiyan Gains] Pan's entire week was pretty messed up. It was difficult for her to attain the somewhat legendary half-step that most Saiyan warriors only dreamed of. Even she could still only dream of the actual state of pure power, for now she'd have to settle for the state that was filled with more rage than strength, her aura flaring white with maroon electricity crackling across the exterior. When she appeared, she stared at her opponent and a devious grin spread across her face. This was probably worse than the disappointed noise that she'd given at the end of their last battle. "You. You've gotten stronger." She said, the grin still present. "This is going to happen." She gave what could only be described as a roar as she powered up to full, the lava surrounding them bubbling up with her massive spike in energy. "King Vegeta taught me this." She raised her right hand, pointed her open palm at him and said, "Big. Bang." A massive sphere of red-purple energy appeared in her palm, growing very large very quickly before it let off and fired off towards him. Not waiting to see the result, she blurred her speed and aimed a pair of rapid strikes straight for his stomach, trying to catch him off guard. She figured he would probably dodge or block the first attack somehow, but thought that the secondary attacks would have a better chance to hit. Her speed in this state was wonky, surprisingly fast then almost back to normal. It was very clear that she hadn't mastered this form yet. Luckily, even in her base she was likely faster than her opponent. WC: 276 |

Chishan's eyes narrowed as Pan grinned and, for lack of a better term, 'greeted him'. She had clearly noted how much stronger he had gotten since their last meeting. "You as well." He said coldly, as he observed her own large gain of power. His eyes ran over her body with his senses, collecting information about her ki and strength. To the untrained eye, one might confuse this for checking her out. A split second later, as his mind, he held up her right palm directed at him. A momentary quizzical look donned his face before he realized what she was doing. So...this must be some big important Saiyan technique, he thought, recalling the same technique being used by the Saiyan veteran Bardock in the Magma tournament. Energy began to build into a massive orb in the girl's hand. A surge of air and the Big Bang Attack was flying towards him, propelled by her spoken words. His face illuminated with the same red-purple hue as the incoming sphere of ki. With great force, he pushed off the metal platform and sailed into the air above. The blast tore through the air where he had just been and crashed into the far side of the volcano, melting the hard refined plank of metal and tearing off chunks of the rocky border. In the air, Pan reappeared in front of his ascending form. His eyes widened in surprise as she lunged forward and connected with a flurry of strikes in his stomach. Sneering, feeling the swelling building in his abdominal, his hands flew forward and grabbed the woman by her wrists before she could pull back her arms. With a powerful yank, he attempted to pull her into a rising knee strike to her chin. Following up, his hands released her wrists and came together in front of him. Yellow energy began to glow around his fingers and with one last internal push, he fired a combined energy wave aimed for Pan's chest. He also allowed the igniting of the blast to push him back, giving him so distance away from her if he didn't manage to hit her. Though it didn't matter. He knew she was dangerous up close and far away. WC: 372 TWC: 561 |

Pan's speed had failed her at the last minute. Her two punches had connected but the opposing Saiyan was quick enough to grab her arms and yank her down into his knee with a reverberating crack that echoed throughout the volcano's depths. When her foe released her, her eyes were wide and it was apparent that Chishan had done something. She was so stunned by whatever it was that the next attack, his distancing and still damaging burst of energy, smashed into her chest and sent her flying. She recovered herself with just enough control and rose back up with crimson blood trickling down the side of her mouth. She finally opened her maw and revealed the real damage of Chishan's knee strike. A single tooth fell from her mouth, which she caught as she looked at him. "You knocked one of my teeth out. You knocked. One of my teeth out." She roared with ferocity and her pupils faded, her aura crackling between white and golden for a split second. This was what sheer rage felt like. She stared at Chishan with her pupil-less gaze and said, "I've spent a month in the Fire Temple. I've learned to master the most volatile element there is. And boy-o, let me tell you something, fire's several times more dangerous than you ever thought. Speaking of... do you know what magma is?" She raised two fingers and summoned all of the energy she could muster into this attack. Beneath them was a rumble of melted stone. A gushing burst of magma rose from the depths, followed by another, and another. The entire bubbling surface below them was beginning to rise extremely quickly and as Pan landed on the metal surface she finally answered a simple yet difficult question that she'd been wondering since she learned the technique. What happens if you use Bakuhatsuha inside a volcano? The answer was confirmed. An eruption. WC: 320 TWC: 596 |

The girl's aura flared a powerful bright yellow and her eyes glazed over in a chalky white. For a moment, Chishan saw himself in her; when the evil in his mind had taken control of his body. Maybe she forgot that in this astral realm nothing carried over but she sure did get angry at her tooth falling out. He'd be lying to himself if he didn't feel a little proud for knocking the girl down a peg. But as she spoke to him, she mentioned something called a 'Fire Temple' and his mind latched onto it. Fire Temple? What is that? Sounds like a place that might be able to explain why I now have the Aspect of Fire inside me. As his mind pondered, his eyes noticed the girl's fingers raising again. A move she had used against him and done severe damage to him. But inside a volcano... Chishan had survived a lot in his lifetime. He'd even managed to not only resist a Fire Elemental's touch but also absorb its energy into his body so he could use it for his own purposes. But boiling hot magma? Shit, he didn't have time for that. As her technique triggered the massive explosion, Chishan's own fiery aura burst around him and he shot further into the sky. The eruption shot up after him; the hue of fire started to nip at his feet. He could feel the intense heat getting closer and closer to him. As he moved, his hands passed in front of him in a blur, gaining energy from each point hit. He wasn't sure why he was doing it. I'll be lucky to survive this, was the last thing he thought before he was surrounded in inferno. Minutes later, the storm of lava had died down, having been sprayed all over the mountain top. The platform had been mostly incinerated; pieces of molten metal hanging off the edges. Pan hovered about the lava, her training proving fruitful in her survival. She had seemingly won... Until Chishan materialized behind her. His armor had been scorched almost to nothingness; all that truly remained was the top half of his leg armor, though it had been severely melted as well. Patches of his skin were severely burned, smoke rising off the fleshy, gooey spots. But all in all, he was in rather good shape. His bare chest was heaving, taking in deep breaths as he fixated on the girl. His hands shot forward, palms out and fingers stretched to the sky while his forefingers and thumbs touched. He stared at Pan from between the triangle and spoke though his raspy breath just before his Burning Attack tore through the sky at the girl's back. "Let me show you what I learned." She'd stood on the platform until she could no longer take the heat. Even her resistance had limits. As the first volley of molten rock shot into the sky, she almost rode it into the air, creating a barrier of energy using the ki below her feet in order to keep her from catching on fire. Thankfully her time in the Fire Temple had granted her one special ability: The tattoo that had been permanently engraved along her back, that of a great fiery serpent, had some sort of mystical and inexplicable power of keeping her clothes from succumbing to the heat. It had worked in the Fire Temple and had seemingly continued to work outside of it. So even in the moments that she was purely surrounded by heat, her clothes only suffered the mildest of singes, her Saiyan armor remaining in tact and relatively untouched. She stood with her arms crossed when Chishan arrived and her scouter blipped a little indicator that the warrior had arrived again. "You survived that? Now that's impressive." She turned around just in time to see him firing off a powerful burst of energy straight at her. In an instant, she'd flicked her wrist and the silver bracer on her right forearm had expanded outward into a circular shield. She braced herself in midair with her ki and allowed the energy to smash against her cover, sending it harmlessly away. "That's what you've learned? Come on, boy-o, you'll have to step it up a notch." And in an instant there was only her shadowy afterimage right where she'd been standing. The true Pan was now right below Chishan. She rose upwards extremely quickly, sending an uppercut straight for his jawline, and followed it up with a spinning back kick aimed at his stomach. Rather than attempt anything else, she backed up and looked him over, "You look about done. You wanna call this one?" There was the same note of frustration in her voice, as though she'd been expecting to do a marathon with him and he'd collapsed after the first few miles. She crossed her arms and awaited a response from him, whether it was a vicious last ditch attack, verbal, or simply the act of him falling out of the sky. The last thing she wanted to do was outright pummel someone who was clearly done. Their environment had done the work that she'd intended to do, and there was very little that she figured he had left in him after an attack like that. Still, she was certainly opened to being surprised. Especially by another Saiyan... WC: 436 TWC: 1k+ |

His attack had failed, easily reflected by the girl's technologically advanced shield. She had mocked him again, her Saiyan pride rising above his feeble attempts to truly hurt her. And to add injury to insult, she simply speed teleported an uppercut into his jaw and a powerful blow to his stomach, leaving him curled over in the air. She backed away from him, offering a chance to end the match there and then. You look about done, she had said, possible concern in her voice though the disappointment rang louder. She knew she had won, she had better techniques, she was a damned Saiyan warrior that REMEMBERED her training. You look about done. His head hung over his chest and his arms hung limp at his side, pain swelling in his jaw and in his abdominal. Not too mention the burning sensation over his severely punished skin. He hadn't used a whole lot of his ki...but damnit if his body didn't hurt. He could feel his mind looking back with the slight hope his gem would call him back. You. Look. About. Done. "No" The word boiled up out of his mouth, a vocal rebellion against his better senses and his pain. His head snapped up, his eyes blazing with determination. His fiery aura burst around him and for a split second, a flash of pure yellow streaked around him. His hands coiled into fists, electricity sparking over his body. He met her gaze, those eyes that were hoping for a good long fight. A smirk crossed his face. "No. I think we're just getting started, sister." A ominous mixture of his own voice and the voice in his head blurted out the words, beyond his control or comprehension. His actions though...he had full hegemony on that He burst forward, crossing the short distance between them in a flash of flaming movement. Within proximity, he burst into a full on rage attack, fists flying at the girl's torso, shoulders and face. Four strikes aimed for the forehead, cheeks and jaw moving downwards. Four more strikes for the gut, the sternum and each shoulder. He mimicked from his memories, remembering how Kularian had assaulted him. But there was something more... Suddenly, his hands pulled back and shot out again, taking their position for another Burning Attack. Each hand strike, no matter blocked or connected, had been part of another ritualistic pattern to gain energy for another ki blast. And, from point blank range, the Burning Attack was loosed from his hands for the girl's chest. WC: 425 TWC: 1449 |
