(Human Bonus)

Gasping for air, Krillin swam back to the island. Roshi’s training had gotten outrageous, the intensity of it all growing every day. He didn’t even know HOW to to swim four days ago, now Roshi had him swimming 4 miles a day, before breakfast! Krillin lay in the sand, catching his breath and letting the sun dry him off.

Several moments later he finally got to his feet, but the second he turned around, Roshi was there, clutching a small brown bag. “Can’t I have breakfast first?” Krillin moaned, but his request was simply denied.

Ever since Krillin showed Roshi the gem he had received, he had him fighting on it at least once a week. Krillin took the bag from him, wandering back inside. He went to his room, dried himself off, changed into dry training clothes and let the gem take him away.

The transition didn’t sit well with him, so he closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind during it. Moment’s later he felt the surface below his feet change, the air salty. He could hear the crash of water on rocks, and when he opened his eyes he saw what he expected. He was on a dark gray slate ledge, appearing to extend only a few hundred yards around. The sea crashed into it on all sides, spraying it’s surface with rapid drops, some large enough to sweep somebody away, if they caught them right.

Krillin looked around, his opponent not here yet. “And to think I just dried off..” he muttered, then awaited the arrival of whoever he would be fighting today...

[Saiyan Gains]

For the first time in a long time, Chishan actually meant to use the Gem of Telepathy.

Most of his recent instances with the gem had been accidental (or beyond his control, as it was while he healed in the rejuvenation chamber) but he was determined to find a familiar foe in the realm. He had gained much in power and wanted to prove it to one of the first fighters he ever encountered. He smiled as he laid his hands on top of the solid crystal and let the glowing green light take him far away...

In a flash of movement and blinding flashes, he was standing on a cliff-side overlooking an ocean. He could feel the spray of the salt water as the waves crashed against gray rock and showered the top ground with the liquid.

And standing in front of him...was a short human.

Chishan frowned and cocked his head, confused and a little let down. The words crept up and leapt out from his mouth, loud enough for his opponent to hear.

"You're not Kularian."

Finally, after several moments of mindless wondering about his opponent, someone appeared. Hi was taller than Krillin, but that was no surprise. He sported a couple of scars on his face, one jutting over an eye socket. Probably lucky he didn’t lose that, Krillin thought to himself. The man looked like he could be a human, but his hair was much more spiky and a very deep black.

“You’re not Kularian..” The strange man finally took notice of Krillin, but seemed to be disappointed.

Confused, Krillin responded, “I’m not... what? I’m Krillin. Are you a human? I honestly never get to fight humans. Always big green dudes, or one time it was actually this android, but I think he tried to kill me. Which is outrageous, it was just supposed to be a friendly spar, right?” Krillin went on and on, not caring if anyone was listening, he just missed having somebody to talk to, Roshi was certainly never much of a help in that aspect.

“So... who do you want to start her off, huh?” Krillin asked his sparring partner while sinking down into a clumsy fighting stance that looked to give him an off-balance disadvantage than anything else.

Well, he's a weird one.

The inner voice and his own spoke in tandem internally as the man in front of him rambled on and on. He was energetic, Chishan would give him that. After a little (alright, long) bit of dialogue, he finally fell into a fighting stance that was...determined, at best. I did come here to fight... he thought. His knuckles cracked as his hands closed into fists and he fell into his own, more refined, fighting stance. His eyes met Krillin's.

"The name's Chishan. I'm a Saiyan. I hope you're ready, Krillin." He spoke gently, meant as encouragement. He didn't want to intimidate the poor fellow into submission. After all...

It's supposed to be a friendly spar.

His orange aura blazed to life around him, loudly pulsing in the air. He felt energy surging through his veins, building power and strength as it did so. Upon feeling his tank fill to the brim, he let his visible energy dissipate and he let out a long, drawn out breath.

"Alright. I'm ready." He said coolly, the thrill of battle twinkling in his eyes.

"Attack."

I gave him the chance to begin, he still offers it to me. Confidence? Respect? I guess it’s time to get this going.

Krillin nodded in agreement to make the first move and that he did, thinking it could be a good chance to start a fight off with a bang for once, rather than his typical route of immediate grappling which hadn’t worked so well thus far.

He rushed forward at his opponent, jumping from side to side, hoping to throw the saiyan into a daze, or at least get his complete concentration. When he was about ten feet away, he jumped at his opponent as if to go straight for a kick to the head, but at the last second he sped above, aiming both hands downward.

“AGHHH!” He hollered below as his palms developed ki balls and he threw them at his opponent, one after another. Satisfied with his attack, he watched the ground closely, where his target was located, anticipating the next move.

Chishan's stance stiffened as the human charged at him. The zig-zag pattern was a clever trick, the Saiyan admitted, one he wished he had utilized in his battles. The brown orbs tracked each movement as best they could, though the scouter over his left eye chirped as it marked the movements of the human.

The distance between them became tinier and tinier and suddenly, his opponent leapt at him in a jumping kick. His arm swept up to knock the strike away but it never came. Instead, the human soared into the air above. His eyes followed his ascent, watching the palms of his foe begin to twinkle with ki.

"Two can play that game." He said softly as the ki balls rained down on him. Smoke shot up from explosions, blocking the Amnesiac Saiyan from view. Seemingly, he had taken the brunt of the attack.

But alas, his body reappeared above Krillin's as he materialized out of his speed teleport. Falling down past the floating human, his body spun with his left leg thrust out, a flip-kick meant for the top of the head. Now slightly lower than his opponent, his energy took hold of him and slingshot his form up into his target, a knee outstretched and in line to crash into Krillin's sternum. Completing this, his right arm pumped forward in a front punch for the forehead.

"I know you can do better than that. Show me everything you got." He said, repeating the words he had heard from Kularian.

He watched the smoke, waiting to see hit opponent materialize out of the shadows, eager to see if his attacks had caused the trouble he had hoped for. He waited, but to his surprise his opponent never appeared. Just the he sensed the power level of his opponent had appeared behind him!

He spun around, defenseless in surprise, the foot of the saiyan connected with his forehead, spinning him and causing him to keel over slightly, grasping his head as he felt it swelling into a sizable goose-egg. His opponents attack wasn’t over, as Krillin received another blunt blow from the knee of the man this time, knocking him backwards. He caught his mistakes of leaving his body open for attack and anticipated more.

Chishan did come back for more, Krillin caught his opponents fist just before it his his forehead, but he could not clutch the hand entirely and it quickly left his grasp. The saiyan spoke to him, kindly. He seemed to know Krillin could fight better than this, and so did Krillin, but he couldn’t figure out why he was doing so miserably. He came back at his opponent slightly more fired up this time.

He came out with a couple of swift jabs at Chishan’s ribcage, following up with a wound-up elbow, aimed for the saiyan’s nose. He finished his attack gliding backwards, holding up his hand with a single small ball of ki, releasing it just to see if the golden blazing beam ball would land.

His words had ignited a torch of determination under his opponent. The man let his emotions run wild and he came in for another assault. The Saiyan grinned as his body fell into a defensive stance once again, just in time for the now attacking human.

The human's fists shot forward, crashing hard into his armored torso. The blows sunk through the padding and resonated through his bones. His eyes watched the finishing melee strike and reacted to it, his head pulling backwards to allow the sharp joint to pass innocently through the air in front of him. And as a finisher, his foe shot backwards across the plain and let loose a ball of ki.

"Not bad. You've got a lot of potential." Chishan said softly, his ribs beginning to throb in a dull soreness. But his stance let no hint of this. And as the small ball of energy made its way to crash into him, his right arm swung across his torso, swatting the blast away. It sailed into the sky and disappeared into the clouds.

"See you next time." The Amnesiac Saiyan said with a nod of respect, before his body was sucked back into reality.
