Gohan stood over the body of the man he had just killed, breath coming out in gasps, heart beating a rapid crescendo in his chest. Another person dead, at his hands. He had no idea why this time, no idea who the person was or why the eye had been so insistent about leading him across what had seemed like half of Avalon to find him, and then forcing Gohan to fight him, or die from excruciating pain along his nervous system. So he had fought him. The strangest thing had been the fact that the man had apparently known Gohan, or perhaps the eye. He had looked straight at Gohans face when he had exclaimed 'you' and started to attack. It could have gone either way, but considering what had led him there, and the utter fear on the face of the guy who had never met Gohan before... yeah. Gohan was a 15 year old kid. No one should see him and instantly be terrified of him, that was a bit of an advantage he used whenever he could- that folks tended to underestimate him because of his size and age. Anyway, he stood over the corpse, breathing hard. Blood trickled down his head, rolledover and to the tips of his eye lashed, and then dropped down past his eyes to land on his cheeks where they continued their trailing path down his face. It was over. At least it was over. Or not... Not even 30 seconds after the man had died Gohan was beginning to feel a compulsion on his mind, a pull to go somewhere else, to do something else. The eye... the eye was gaining strength against him, or had apparently decided that Gohan was sufficiently cowed to its wills and desires and wasn't giving a damn about hiding its true intentions anymore. It was simply demanding he did things. This had to stop, soon. It had to. he wasn't sure if it could take full control of him, but he had a feeling that if he didn't stop it soon, he just might stop being himself soon- and that was something he really didn't want. He needed to be him, he needed to be Gohan. He had to get rid of the eye, that was that. It was becoming a nuisance, no longer worth the boosts it provided in battle and when he was fighting and shit because of its constant desires to have him do shit and run into troubles, and apparently now it was ramping up to wanting him to fight and kill its enemies or something. The worst part was that he was never going to find out who he had just killed, probably. The man had died before he had been able to tell gohan, and that pissed the boy off. he at least wanted to know who the hell it was he was killing. Gohan growled, deep in his throat, as he felt pulled. Then he felt something else, felt the sudden rush of ki signatures and minds in his own minds eye, and knew what the other wanted. Gohan hadn't even been on avalon a fewq hours, and yet the eye was wanting him to leave, to go somewhere else. Why? Jeezus, didn't it know he was only a person, and they got tired and shit and needed a break. It had been days since he had rested, it had been days since he had eaten. He needed a break before the eye ran him to death simply though having him continue to jump from world to world on whatever these little errands and assinations were. 606/606/606 |

Gohan knew he had no chance to reject the desires of the eye, and with a great sigh of anger Gohan went ahead and began to concentrate- locking the signatures of the people that the eye was giving him in his mind. Then he placed a finger to his head and disappeared- reappring on a strange, and utterly different world than the one that he had been on. It wasn't like Namek or Mortoseth either, so they were definitely getting their travels miles in... "Where the hell am I?" Gohan asked himself, knowing the eye wasn't even going to deign to respond to the fact he was talking, much less actually give an answer back to him. Whatever, he would figure it out before long. Once he saw some of the inhabitants and some of the signs... He appeared outside of what appeared to be a city in the distance. Gohan felt the compulsion to walk towards it, and did just that. Even as he entered the city limits, however, he felt the eye pulling him somewhere else totally. The thing had another target for him, apparently, and was going to pull him towards it. With a sigh, Gohan went along. Before too long he began to see people in the waing light of the morning on this new and strange world. He was still unsure of where the hell he was, mostly because the aliens were all so different from anything he had seen before thgat he just couldn't be sure what the fuck they were. He went ahead and consulted the scouter that he kept on his wrist. With the eye on, these days, he no longer needed a scouter in battle- what with being able to directly sense energy and the fact that he could read peoples minds, sort of. So yeah, he had gone to wearing his scouter like a wrist watch mostly as a communications device, watch, and general electrical doohickey that he could take advantage of when the plot required, like it does now. After scannjing a few of the people the scouter went ahead and told him that they were known as Kanassans. They were a race of people with some seriously advanced mental powers and shit. He wondered how they stackedup against his own piwers with the eye. They, apparently, weren't the ones he was after tho. Cuz Gohan kept feeling the compulsion to go in a certain direction, turn down a certain street, and go about his way until he was entering a small diner. Strange, to think that the eye actually wanted him to get some food and was sending him here with its compulsion. It wanted him to sit near the large, plate glass window near the edge of the room. HE did so, and took advantage of the situation by ordering some food. While he waited his eyes scanner around, and he noticed a building across the street. Even as he watched someone went inside. He tried to read the sign that was over the doorway, but of course it was in another language that wasn;t his. He scanned it with his scouter, because the plot says it can do that, and saw that it said something about some guy named Xer and his house of riddles or someething. It was quite weird. Gohan shrugged, andby that time the first course of the breakfast he had ordered had arrived and he set to work, eating with a will- only occasionally actually checking the building across the street to see who was going in or out. And that was when he saw him... Vash... Gohan spat out his hashbrowns and got to his feet, surprised as hell to see that guy here. He had just fled namek hours ago, trying to get the fuck away from the guy. How the hell had he actually beaten Gohan to Kanassa! "I gotta get the hell out of here..." GOhan muttered, throwing down some bills on the table, heading out of the diner, and walking rather fast in the opposite direction of the shop that Vash had just entered. That was when his brain began to convulse with pain. The damned eye didn't want him to leave! What the fuck! Vash was super strong, he could kill Gohan! he had to get out of here. Just a few hours ago Gohan had been forced to FLEE vash because of the eye. Now it was forcing him to stay near to the fucker? Fuck that. Gohan began to fly away, gritting his teeth in pain as the pain got worse and worse... He knew... he could not flee... But he tried anyway. 771//1376//1376 |

“Go to Kanassa,” Master Rota had said, a dying wish from the creature that had helped Vash to gain the amount of control that he had over that bastard Kimahla. Vash did his research. Kanassa held secrets of telepathy. The very thing he had been using to both incarcerate the minotaur as well as working on developing a way to borrow power from the creature without the mental prison being weakened at all. The research he had done on the subject kept coming up with one name in particular. Xer. What a strange name. Who or whatever it was, it seemed to be a real up and comer in the telepathic community. If he was ever going to be able to start on this journey he had set up for himself, it would begin there. There were even coordinates for Xer’s location on this planet. How convenient was that? His ship flew over the massive forest of a continent that covered a good portion of the planet. It was nothing but jungle it seemed. Large trees so thick that you couldn’t see the ground of the planet what so ever. It would seem landing in a spot like this was going to prove to be much more difficult than he had thought in the first place. He did a quick couple of scans and stuff on his ship’s computer. Gohan was on this planet. Somewhere. Of course he was. It had seemed that the two were destined to be bonded together. Tied together through strings of fate. The fate of Trunks in particular. The boy that almost lived. If only Vash had gotten there sooner. It was that incident that had unraveled this chain of events that had pitted these two warriors against one another, to an extent. Gohan, a misguided youth with a mysterious past, and Vash, the demon who is determined to bring Gohan to some kind of justice. Punishment wasn’t the optimal goal here for Vash, he would much rather try to help reform the boy. But, if it came down to it, Vash had the intestinal fortitude to do what was necessary to make everything right in the universe. Vash programmed the internal computer to just kind of hang out in space until Vash called for it. He figured he might be here for awhile. Who could really know just how long it was going to take for Vash to get the kind of telepathic mastery he was aiming for. Once Vash jumped out of the craft and made his descent towards the umbrella of branches and leaves below, he pressed a button on a remote, and the ship disappeared up into the sky. Vash crashed through the upper canopy. Much to his surprise, the trees were much larger than he had thought, the branches were wider than he was. He had to contort his body all around and dip and dive all the way until he met the planet’s floor. Much similar to master Rota’s set up, there was a small, humble looking hut nearby. As long as the information he had received was indeed correct, than this was no doubt the home of Xer. WC 530/530/1,906 |

This Xer person was truly worth the journey to this planet. Master Rota knew exactly what Vash was going to require to achieve the kind of security with the minotaur that he had wanted. As soon as Vash got within ten or fifteen yards of the hut, that’s when he heard it. “I’ve been waiting for you, Vash...” a voice rang, but it was on the inside of his head. Telepathy. Nice. “Don’t bother knocking, just come in,” the voice called out as Vash stopped right at the door and raised his fist to begin to knock. Well, the thought now seemed silly, especially as this Xer guy knew he was coming the whole time. “Don’t say a word,” Xer said as Vash came into view. “I know exactly what you came here for. Master Rota was one of my best, brightest pupils I ever had. He doesn’t just send anyone my way. It’s a shame that he has moved on, he will be sorely missed.” The next few days kind of ran by like a blur. It was similar to his training with master Rota, but, at the same time, it was much more intense. After a bit of studying and some great guidance from Xer, Vash came up with a more permanent plan that would not only create a better restraint system for the minotaur, but at the same time allow the minotaur to feel a little more free and thus slowly begin to work Vash over to his good graces. A labyrinth system would be built inside Vash’s mind. Plenty of traps, turn arounds, dead ends, and riddles to solve in order to both confuse and occupy Kimahla at the same time. This way, the minotaur would feel as if he were working towards something. What he didn’t know, however, was that Vash was able to change the labyrinth around at any time that he desired and change up the different traps set in place, thus making the labyrinth impossible to solve. Vash could feel it. This was going to work. And over time, he may even be able to barter with the minotaur, an exchange for the beast’s power as long as Vash would give hints. Yep, this was going to work. All that was left to further his psychic prowess. Further training under this new master Xer was going to be required. WC 397/927/2,303 |
