Guilty By Association

The sun was burning at the highest point in Earth’s blue sky, casting an immense heat wave upon the desolate valley below. Red dirt stretched in either direction endlessly with only the mouth of a canyon to break up the charred landscape. This place was far from the crisp cool blue oceans Earth was known for. No, this hellish place was greatly removed from the comforts of an ocean breeze, or any sort of water; resting hundreds of miles inland from the coast, Chaos waited silently here in the Diablo Desert.

Heat radiated off the ground drawing thick beads of sweat to form across his brow. The Emperor-to-be couldn’t have cared less about such trivial things as heat, his arms folded neatly across his broad chest and his crimson eyes trained on a distant figure. Below, the figure moved among the shadows to stay cool but finally came to a stop at the heart of the canyon where the shade was greatest. This person was certainly extraordinary, if not for the immense power the Regent could sense spilling from him then because he was the only other living thing for miles. Nothing else moved but the blistering breeze of the desert that jostled the sand and weeds. And it was no wonder why. Not many creatures he had came across would last long in these unforgiving conditions which told Chaos two things. This man was very likely tough, and he was desperately seeking some alone time. Was he hiding? Training?

It didn’t matter.

Chaos descended towards his target while unfolding his arms. To be honest, Chaos had taken an interest in this person before he had ever stepped foot in the desert. This person had been with that Namekian, Rem, when he took on Tapion. That alone was enough. This man’s blood would soon stain the dirty desert floor because of his stupid friends. His boots kicked up a puff of debris as he landed silently.

He cocked his head to the right while examining the man across from him. For now the poor bastard was in his own world and luckily oblivious to Chaos’ presence. He could have offered an introduction, it would have been common courtesy after all. The Regent was beyond talk these days and he just didn’t feel the need to waste his word. After all, what good can pleasantries do for a dead man?

Long confident strides carried him across the dusty canyon floor until he was within striking distance. His lips curled into a malicious grin as his right hand shot out to grab Sai by the back of his head while his left hand went for the back of the thigh. His muscles flexed as he tried to lift his enemy over head only to drop him down across his right knee that was also shooting upwards.

He released his grip, allowing the man an instant to recover. Behind him several crimson ripples filled the air as the invisible door to the Regent's collection opened. God he had to find that Namekian prick. His eyes wandered to the sky as more than a dozen blades poked through the portals and took aim Sai. Various bladed weapons glinted menacingly at the poor soul, each weapon reflecting the light in impossible ways. Where could he be? Would this get his attention? His eyes shut and he sighed before he brought his right hand up to snap.

The crisp sound echoed out through the hollow cavern, and with it came a violent maelstrom of steel easily capable of turning a city block into a pincushion.
I hope you’re watching. Swords and spears, tridents and katanas, bladed weapons never seen before on Earth all shot out of the Gate to pin Sai against the canyon wall.

A thick cloud of sand and dust filled the air as the volley subsided. His eyes focused on his prey with his right hand taking aim. His Ki pressed against the air around him, slowly carrying him out of the mouth of the gigantic canyon where he could see Sai and anywhere he may try to run. A crackle of indigo traveled down his arm where a black orb of energy had gathered in front of his palm. The tiny sphere was densely packed with an enormous amount of energy but was easily stable under this Ki Master’s hand. He didn’t even care to tell this man why this was happening; that he was guilty by association and that the company he kept would ultimately lead to his death.

The stench of dirt and sweat invaded his nostrils reminding him how much he hated this part of Earth. With a mere thought the black orb erupted into a massive wave of energy that fell towards Sai like a deadly waterfall. The darkness flooded the gaping maw in the planet, easily filling it for several miles. From horizon to horizon the entire mouth of the canyon was filled with a black inferno until everything was ripped asunder. A concussive blast of immeasurable scale rocked the planet and tore one of its most recognizable landmarks into a flat crater. The silent reaper peered down from the uncaring sky, dark locks of his raven hair lifted up in the shock-wave to accentuate the eerie red glow that traced his irises.

Sai was still alive, he could feel it. Hopefully he would survive just long enough for his friends to arrive.

He still couldn't do it.

Sai was unable to stop himself from hitting the sand, limbs heavy with sweat and fatigue. How long had he been out here in this blasted landscape? He couldn't even remember. The whole point of putting himself through this had been to try and pass the thresh hold, to finally surpass his limits and become a super Saiyan. So far those limits had been proving more than his equal despite his willingness to hurl himself into the natural dangers of this place.

After a few minutes of rest, he slowly climbed to his feet. This was probably the worst thing he'd tried in his quest for transcendence. Despite the harsh conditions of the desert, something Sai had been sure would let him finally break through that wall, the form and it's awesome powers seemed to have eluded him once again.

“This isn't working.” He mumbled to himself as he wiped sweat from his brow. “Better just head home. Kular might have some id-...eh?”

His scouter began beeping suddenly, displaying a power level reading in his vicinity. More interesting was the way it was reading from BEHIND him. Before he could chance a look over his shoulder, he was suddenly yanked up by his hair. Something solid slammed into the mid of his back, sending waves of pain shooting through his body. Sai couldn't stop himself from letting a pain cry loose, a few flecks of blood flying from his mouth. Were it not for the sword he had strapped to his back, his spine might have actually broken. Mind racing from the sudden attack, Sai began to see something. Sharp objects raining down at him from above.

When the would-be-tyrant was done he hurled the other Saiyan through the air, letting Sai roll across the sands a few dozen feet before Sai managed to get his legs under him. He looked up to his attacker, unable to hide his annoyance. A humanoid, his hair being ridiculously spiky and his face bearing two red marks. Sai was sure he'd never seen this particular fighter before. His assailant hadn't even introduced himself. That was fine with Sai, he didn't have too much to say to this fellow.

The crimson vortexes that appeared behind his assailant moments later caused Sai to shift into a readied stance....until he saw the swords appearing out of thin air. The reflective glint of worked metal cast beams of light across the desert, making whatever this was supposed to be seem all the more intimidating. Psychic vision still fresh in his mind, he threw himself through the air to his left, avoiding the first volley of blades as he touched down on the sand again before drawing his own.

They're fast, but not impossible to keep up with. The aim is likely to overwhelm with the sheer number of them. Unfortunately for you, whoever you are, this attack isn't as much overwhelming as it is wildly impractical.

He drew air deep into his lungs, focusing on the weapons as they poked through their little portals. When they began to move, so did he. The zweihander came across in front of him, hitting the first weapon to near. The unmistakable sound of metal crashing against metal filled the air, sparks falling to the sand. Sai spun with the force, bringing the zweihander around again in a wide arc with all his strength behind it. The pressure from the swing alone sent those about to touch him spiraling through the air in other directions. Sai exhaled, taking the zweihander in one hand. His now free hand shot out as he took a spinning step and bent his knees.

Something passed over his head, he didn't quite see what it was but it didn't matter. His arm arched up, free hand wrapping around the weapons hilt. A spear flew towards him as he began to rise, Sai adjusting the zweihander so the collision sent it shooting off to one side. The other weapon came up diagonally, scattering yet more of the assault. Sand began to fill the air as this continued. When it subsided, the Saiyan remained in the position he'd started in, panting heavily from the effort of attempting to stop the attack. His zweihander gleamed in his right hand, no worse for the wear. In his left, however, were the remains of a massive axe, the thing having broken under the effort of deflecting so many attacks.

“Wi-...wildly impractical....”

Though he'd felt good about defeating the blade storm, a sudden jolt against his senses caused him to glance in his attackers direction. Above him was some kind of ki attack, enormous in scope. The massive energy attack he was preparing had MORE than enough juice to wipe Sai, and probably the entire desert, from the face of the planet. With any luck, that wouldn't come to pass. But seeing as his luck usually just made things worse, Sai had grown accustomed to bringing insurance. His left hand shot into the pouch at his side before coming back into sight with a yellow scroll in its grip. Taking hold of the loose end, Sai waved his arm, unfurling the scroll to reveal yaidratian writing. The world seemed to warp and bow from his perspective, Sai watching as the scene of his attacker firing his blast changed to a view of his attackers exposed back. The scroll, having expended its energies, burst into flames. The Saiyan released it as the flame took it. He doubted he'd ever find its like again.

Sai couldn't help but wonder who this guy was, what he'd done to make him so angry, or how he'd obtained quite that much strength. Wait....

Rem had spoken once of some would-be-tyrant that he, Kular, and some other members of the league had angered. His name was something ridiculous, Sai couldn't quite recall that part.

“You must be...uhhh.....Anarchy, was it?” He shouted before he drew air into his lungs, free hand again digging into the pouch at his side. A battle cry escaped the Saiyan, drowned out by the energy that flew from his mouth. Another followed as Sai fished in his pouch, finally finding what he was looking for before pulling his hand back into sight. His arm reeled back as he again drew air into his lungs, another blast escaping his talk hole as he whipped a stun grenade in Chaos direction. Except not, because apparently I can't do that cause of actions or some shit. “So what do you want with me?” He asked before firing yet another blast from his mouth.

Anarchy?

The Regent arched a single eyebrow pondering the mistake before chuckling. How could one be so foolish? This man was standing there, facing down the Regent of the cosmos and he couldn’t even get his name correct? Blasphemy!

He should have corrected Sai but he wasn’t concerned with cute quips or silly puns. A series of images flashed in his mind. His mind had touched his opponent’s and in doing so he was seeing was what would come. He twisted his body in the same instant Sai let out a deafening cry that would precede the energy wave. The first blast sailed harmlessly past his shoulder and into the distance. However, the next three came unexpectedly and each slammed painfully into his chest knocking him to the flattened desert floor.

He landed with a thud kicking up sand and debris in his wake. He grit his teeth as he rolled and gathered his balance. The Regent stood tall and his crimson eyes burned with malice. A bead of sweat softly plopped from the bridge of his nose but the salty liquid evaporated before touching the blistering ground. It seemed his enemy wasn’t just going to roll over and die. And that....that would make things so much more interesting. Black Ki erupted around him, the fires of Hell itself twisting around his form to enhance his strength to even more absurd levels. With it, Chaos could feel the raging thrum of hunger it brought; the hunger for souls. He smiled sinisterly beneath the twisting mess of raven hair. Behind him twin portals rippled into existence with two black and indigo chains hissing through the air towards Sai with the intent of binding him. These treasures from the Gates were very special and far from ordinary chains. They were not made of any physical material, but rather from densely packed gravitons capable of holding the strongest warrior in place it they didn’t crush him to dust instead.

Amidst the noise and confusion caused by the chains another small device shot out of a portal behind Chaos. The tiny bomb erupted just in front of Sai sending a debilitating shock towards him. The Regent crossed his arms ignoring the dirt stuck to his sweat thick hair. His eyes lazily traveled upwards as another massive series of portals rippled like dozens of stones tossed into a pool of blood. Various weapons poured out in a violent wave that carried the Regent’s need to force Rem and his super friends into action. Perhaps he needed to step things up a bit to get some attention. As the torrent of steel erupted chaotically the Regent made his move, the static-y sound of his speed teleport the only hint he had moved. He was gone.

In the blur of speed Chaos’ right hand retrieved a double-sided blade from within the Gates. He came up with frightening speed and the sword at the ready.

As the last of the weapons neared the target Chaos appeared in front of Sai crouched low with his weapon held in both hands and pulled back. The ancient blade glowed brightly and reflected a brilliant spectrum of color as it waited to taste blood for the first time in millennia. The following flurry of swordplay was a delicate dance of precision and force. His muscles tensed and flexed with each masterful strike. A stab for the throat. A slash across the abdomen. A cleave towards the leg. The Regent managed seven devastating strikes that seamlessly blurred into a single elegant maneuver that would leave most men in a pool of decaying mush.

Sarge of ADBZ
Sanara had heard the call of battle, and his blood had boiled. His memories of the last encounter with the scummier side of the universe still raged quite fresh, and he had the mindset to slay everyone in his path that so much as smelled of their taint. But it had not been until he had actually set foot on the battlefield, until he looked at the figure of his foe and his mind flashed back in earnest, that his rage truly crept in. Sanara's aura was visible around him, his power scarcely able to be restrained with the hatred he felt coursing through his body, lighting each and every cell into an adrenaline-fueled blaze of ki.

He had to restrain himself, however - much as he wanted to dive into battle, much as he wished to lose himself in the frenzied dance that was a true battle and let himself free of all his constraints, Sanara knew that his ally needed his help more pressingly. The Youko's hand seemed to leave his sword with such reluctance that his fingernails made a whining scratch as they peeled off of the hilt. That was the last sound Sanara made before he started a course through the air - for Sai.

He gave no words of warning or greeting as he reached the Saiyan. He barely even grunted an acknowledgement of his presence before he grabbed the Saiyan by his left arm and shoved, throwing them both far to the right. As soon as both of their limbs had been off of the ground his aura took over the rest.

The chains that had fired forth from two portals were borderline dogged in their pursuit. Sanara's efforts were almost for naught as the chains closed in on them, still attempting to wrap around the Saiyan. But Sanara had other ideas. His hand returned to his sword, drawing it free in a smooth glide out of the sheath. Sanara's hand felt good against the metal, it felt right, and it gave him the sense of confidence he needed as he turned around and barreled toward the chains, leaving the Saiyan behind on the ground.

Sanara's ebony blade flashed white in the sun for just a moment or two as he slashed at the chains. He didn't try to cut them - he didn't even know if he could, but with the grace and purpose of a trained swordsman he twirled the first chain to reach him until it was firmly wrapped around the second, entangling them both; the rest of the chain following through the gate was piling up, as Sanara kicked at the ball of wrapped chains he had formed and booted them several dozen yards away.

Sanara glanced at the Saiyan behind him. He gave no words, and even if he'd wanted to, he wouldn't have had the time. His scouter was already signalling a barrage of incoming attacks. But it didn't matter. Sanara was resolved - this wasn't about revenge, justice, or even righteousness. This was about cold, hard truth. A truth he would deliver with steel.

Sanara's hand slowly lifted the blade as his scouter continued its rapid pinging, and then, in one movement, he spun on his heel and slashed repeatedly, the flat of his blade impacting, again and again, as he deflected twin blades, and a variety of other weapons. His sword never hesitated, never wavered - each blow was as powerful and as efficient as the last, making the bare minimum movements to defend against each new attack. His scouter's beeping actually came in handy for once, actually - as the weapons came for him, he was able to determine which were on trajectories that would miss the Saiyan, and simply moved out of their way. Almost a third of them he was able to dodge like that, using little or no effort thanks to the three-dimensional map of his surroundings.

It wasn't until the final blast had fallen that Sanara stood, blade still in hand, eyes locked on his foe. He was done protecting now. He had decreased the defending that the Saiyan would have to do dramatically, the only thing he'd allowed to slip by was a grenade his blade had missed by fractions of an inch. Chaos himself was attacking the Saiyan, in a way that Sanara would have a difficult time getting between. Not that it mattered; Sanara was done with his defending. Now he was focusing on his offense.

Sanara's sword hand was dangerous, but the blue light in his left hand was even more so.

"Move. Now." Sanara's mental command was a bit ragged - he was not very experienced in the ways of mental communication - but he was sure it would at least come through clear enough to get the point to the Saiyan. Sanara ran forward at high speeds toward the evil, black-haired man that was attacking Sai, muscles tense and taut as he threw his attack forward with all his might.

A blue wave of ki erupted forward, hurtling toward Chaos with the speed of itself and the speed of the running Youko added behind it. Sanara kept up the beam only long enough to reach its true potential, before he allowed it to drop. As the last remnants of the light from his attack faded, however, it was only to be replaced by a high-intensity but very dark light emanating from his blade. Sanara's scouter kept him on target, identifying the Power Level of his foe even during the brief fractions of seconds where he lacked direct eye contact because of his own beam, leading his blade toward its intended target at full force and velocity.

Sanara could not say how many times he cut. If it were not for years of dedication to form and skill, he might've lost his cool completely and abandoned himself to a berserker rage that would've cost him all hope of landing a blow against anyone with a modicum of ability. He poured all his desire to win behind each stroke, aiming for vital regions like the kidneys, heart, throat, and lungs; even one or two at the soft spots on the man's skull. Sanara felt somewhat lighter, as if he had managed to relieve himself of all the anger that had been weighing him down since he first was called to battle, and when it was over, he was still left with a small smile.

Because once again his left arm held something incredibly dangerous.

"Return to sender," Sanara mused to himself, barely above a whisper, as he threw the same brand of grenade that had slipped by his defenses earlier right into the black-hearted Saiyan's face.

Kularian landed on the ground, looking around the planet.

Earth.

He had left here... so long ago, it seemed, that he didn't even recall when it was he had left. He'd gone on some of the most intensive journeys of his life, then, and had come to achieve a level of power that he hadn't even dreamed of. His very body was so severely powerful that it was honestly a touch absurd. He had enough strength and power in his frame to decimate entire planets with a single punch. Looking down at his hands, he closed them, slowly, before closing his eyes.

Why did he have this power?

In the recesses of his mind, lurking in the darkness, he could feel the madness that Quon had given him. On Kanassa, the old people there had done a number on his mind, and were able to help him to seal it away, to a point. However, the cage that held it was rusting, slowly but surely. It was better than the wooden box he was trying to hold it in there before, but it still barely kept it back. His mind was clear... for now. He knew that Sai was here, somewhere, but he wasn't sure exactly where. The call back to Earth for the Justice League let him know that... and he was curious if Rem had gotten the summons, but somewhere in the back of his mind, he doubted it.

He wanted to see the man again. To apologize for what had happened. Tempers flared after their loss to the ones that came from the Cosmic Empire. The discussions between Kularian and Rem had been especially heated. There was little that could have been done, really. Both the two of them were headstrong, dangerous and had a large level of power. What that led to, really, was the two of them nearly killing one another before Rem left them all behind. Kularian had done the best he could, (given that he was under the Madness of Agnul'Zon) to lead them, to try to continue doing right but... he had no idea how much of what he had done was actually real, and how much damage he'd done to the world around him.

The madness that gripped him kept him from being able to turn back into his humanoid form, leaving him permanently within the wolven one. It was unfortunate, but he didn't mind; he'd become rather fond of what he had now. Still... as he looked down at the claws on his hands, and the blood on his fur, he wondered just how many people he'd destroyed with them before the Saljuk people had been able to right him.

"Sai... where the hell are you?" he grunted, before his scouter began to beep at him. He tapped twice, before he realized that it had located Sai's power level... and another one's as well. A cold rush went through his system as he realized who it belonged to. This was that Chaos fellow, it had to be. Anyone with a power level of that size could not simply be a random fighter. And, as he began to move, he felt that the Sanara fellow was also en route, sensing him as well before he gave a growl, lifting off and taking to the sky.

"Goddamn he's fast," he murmured under his breath as Sanara pulled away from himself as the other continued to draw away from him. As the lust of battle, of revenge, started to flow through him, he felt that familiar, feral anger starting to come back towards him. He wanted to hunt, to kill, to find the man who had nearly killed them all and rip his throat out. It didn't matter to him that the fellow was this much stronger than he was... he wanted to kill him. To rend him to pieces. There was a sudden spike in power, and Kularian's eyes widened; he didn't want anyone to die... not without him killing the one known as Chaos.

He hit the ground just as he saw Sanara's beam shooting forward, the force ripping outward, dwarfing out Kular's power. No matter. The wolf reached into his bags, setting down a device that would keep his prey from running. A line shot out to the left of it, moving in a circular field, before the entirety of it came back around to the right in less than a second, and a huge, glowing dome appeared over the arena. "Perfect..." he growled before he felt his adrenal glands pumping out more and more of his body fuel was burned. In response, he gave a howl of delight. On all fours, he shot forward, his speed ripping across the field and, just as Sanara began his strikes, he thrust his hand at the man's hamstring, looking to completely cripple him.

However, the foe's armor prevented him from being able to rip the hamstring right out... but he did nick it at least; it'd slow him down. The wolf hit the ground and slid for several feet before he rolled back up to his feet. However, his feet still lay on the ground, sliding still further from his foe, putting a good forty feet between them.

The warrior gave a roar as the red energy began to build up at the ground beneath him. "I'M GOING TO RIP YOU APART!" he roared outwards, letting his aura expand for a moment as the yellow eyes shimmered a few times before going completely white as the brilliant scarlet aura that whippd around him seemed tom ake his fur turn that same brilliant color. "KAIO KEN! TIMES THIRTY!" he bellowed, the wolf howling outwards as the ground shattered beneath his feet, the deserts sands blowing away almost immediately, revealing the rock beneath, which could not stand the raw power of his transformation.

"HHRRRAAAAHHHH!" he bellowed outward as he took a few running steps, the power of his Kaio Ken ki wrapping around him, armoring him, protecting him. The aura exploded outward, a veritable explosion of shocking force ripped forth from his body as he shot forward, closing the comparatively small distance in what seemed to be an instant. "CHAAAAOOOOOSSSS!!" the beast roared, fully possessed by nothing more than raw bloodlust as he attempted to simply put his arm through the opponent's chest.

Chains. That seemed much more practical.

He could see the point in this technique. The chains likely couldn't just be bashed by a sword to make them fly off course. It was also unlikely he could just grab the damn things, what with how unfriendly they looked. Gritting his teeth, the saiyan shifted into a ready stance with his knees bent. He wanted to be ready to run when the linked whips started flailing about. When they actually moved, however, their speed caught him totally off guard. “Damn...” Sai muttered as they closed in. He couldn't help but stare at Chaos, noting several of those god damn space swords or whatever they were poking through the little crimson ripples again. He could use the instant transmission technique, be out of ways to teleport for the day, or he could bank on a miracle.

Fortunately fate didn't give him time to decide. The sudden appearance of Sanara heralded the end of the chain danger, the swords being taken out as well in some flash of bullshit. The saiyan couldn't stop himself from sighing before moving to stand beside Sanara. The grenade slammed into his chest, but the crystal around his neck lit up brightly in response. Though that didn't stop the sword attack from suddenly launching his ass across the desert until he slid to a stop. Pain wracked his body, causing him to roll around for a few moments. Finally he took a huge breath, climbing back to his feet before heading back towards Sanara. A look of grim determination painted his face.

“Hey.” Sai said as he tightened his grip on his zweihander. “I could've done something about all that...probably. But thanks anyway, lord ferret.”

His gaze returned to Chaos, a frown crossing his face. The Zweihander clinked slightly as Sai raised it, pointing the blade point first at the would-be-tyrant. “It's fine if you don't want to answer my question, Disarray, but I'm not about to just lay down and die. If you want my head, you'll have to fight for IT.”

The end of his statement came out as more of a grunt than a word, Sai unable to keep his tongue in proper place as ki surged through him. The power caused an aura to flash around him, blowing sand away in all direction. His hair suddenly leapt upward, taking on an orange tint. “HAAAAA!” Sai bellowed, shifting stance into a more traditional 'power up' posture. The aura surged higher for a moment, the ripples caused by the force of his energy intensifying before calming.

The saiyan stood quietly for a moment, taking stock of himself. A dissatisfied grunt broke the silence finally. Even faced with an opponent so powerful as this man, he was still unable to surpass the threshold.

I'll just have to work twice as hard to make up for it.

“KAI-O! KEEEEEN!” Sai roared, the aura around him erupting into a furious red light. His free hand again flew into the pouch at his side as Sanara hurled his grenade.

God, the things almost empty.

When it returned this time it held a silver ankh of simple design in its grip. “On planet Tayou, a dragon is the symbol of justice.” He declared, pointing the ankh in Chaos direction. "As one who possess an affinity with the beasts, I'll gladly judge your ass in their stead!”

Oh, and Kular was here now too. Neat.

...like rats.

Yes yes yes yes yes.

This was it. They were always so predictable-- the so called “heros”. The familiar power level had arrived arrived in the most cliche fashion possible, at the last second, narrowly and heroically rescuing the weaker man. His lips curled into a sick grin when his eyes confirmed what he felt; Sanara, the fox man, was there to save the day. Again. Sort of. Again.

Truth be told, Sai had already taken the full force of his Kuzu Ryu Shen and narrowly avoided getting a grenade to the face. His eyes widened in surprise when Sanara’s powerlevel suddenly began to spike and a blue light began to emanate from his left hand.
Really? This again? How many times... Sanara was prepared to unleash a staple in the hero arsenal; the Kamehameha. If he had to pick one, his favorite had to be Tapion’s. Something about the red hue made it ever so unique and so much more dangerous.

Sanara ran forward and Chaos’ muscles tensed, taught as iron cables before springing off into a speed teleport beyond Sai. The red flames of Hell mixed with his own black aura as the denizens of the underworld assisted his movements, the familiar blue foe suddenly flying towards him. His image blurred like a smudge against reality as he moved out of the destructive wave. An instant later a massive plume of dirt and smoke filled the sky where the attack detonated against the barren desert.

His image flickered across the battlefield as he moved with as much speed as he could muster in his current form. Sanara slashed and stabbed in a well practiced flurry of rage and precision, but Chaos bobbed and weaved through the strikes, backing away from his assailant while twisting away from the black blade and parrying with his own blade. Most of the fox’s slices cleaved clean through his after images, but the Regent escaped unscathed.

He shook his head which sent fresh droplets of sweat flying through the air. The heat was really intense in this part of the earth and the big dome in the sky certainly didn’t help things...

Wait.

A stasis field?

This was it! He couldn’t see him, but Chaos could feel the other arrival, too. Another familiar Ki, though Chaos didn’t learn the beast’s name. A tinge of pain behind his leg caused him to nearly buckle over and his eyes shot back just catching a glimpse of the rabid animal rolling away. The Regent turned his focus totally to the dog. It was a rather fascinating thing. It looked like something you’d see in an old time earth B horror movie, but he could not deny there was something about it. His eyes sparked with interest when the fury warrior’s energy suddenly skyrocketed and a vibrant red aura flared to life around him.

He was trapped in a cage with the entire zoo. To the left, the fox and a monkey. In front, a wolf. What a freak show. A laugh, low and hearty echoed out in the empty dome. He couldn’t help it, he had been dying for this moment and they played their parts so well. They even locked themselves in! Fortune had truly smiled upon him. For now, he couldn’t revel in his revenge yet. His legs loaded up, prepared to move as the mad dog roared his name and suddenly burst into a mad dash towards him. The wolf’s hand tore directly through the chest and came straight out the backside...

...of another after image. The tricky Ki manipulator narrowly avoided the vicious strike but now it was his turn. The ground rumbled gently as if something massive were awakening from a deep slumber. That rumbling erupted into a deafening crescendo of wind and collapsing rock as the crater they stood in, turned into a full on sphere thanks to the dome above, began to drop under the magnitude of his energy. His shirt disappeared in a shower of crimson particles momentarily revealing his dense form fitting armor before his muscles suddenly doubled in size. The skin stretched tightly against the sudden increase, his veins stretched to their limits to provide vital fluids to the massive muscles. A black light surrounded him forming a column stretching to the peak of the stasis field. The energy shield flickered and struggled, but kept the monstrous energy at bay-- for the time being.

Silence befell them. Nothing moved. Chaos stood alone between the triangle of warriors with an ear to ear smile. With nothing more than a mental shrug, a dense orb of indigo Ki burst into life around his body in a four foot radius.

Thank you all for coming.

As the last word left his lips in a whisper, the sphere around his body erupted outwards at terrifying speed. His laughter echoed out loud over the concussive force to mock the fools efforts. Like a nuclear bomb detonated within a hurricane, the Ki tore outwards in all directions pushing away from his body desperate to grind the wimps bones to dust against their own pathetic barrier. He was feeling good. The heat and exertion were certainly taking a tole, but he could mask it for now. He took a deep steadying breath as the effects of his attack subsided to reveal what would possibly be left of the day’s heros.

Denial was such a sad thing. The drow's eyes narrowed as he placed a hand on his blade as he stood near the enterance to the desert. He supposed that there was a battle going on in the desert; a large battle. But his muscles ached. It was not really the whole of the parties there, but one there. Kularian; that man had defeated Quon. He had, in fact, handed Quon his only loss. The Soultaken had yet to pay back the alien. Now, even so soon after his release, he felt he could do it. The blade hung at his side floated slightly as his body moved swiftly through the sands. He looked more like a land missile that streaked along. With a grin spread across his face, the Soultakem could only think of one thing: kill Kularian in revenge!

And even as Rei neared the battleground, he noted a barrier set up away from the others. Well, no matter. The warrior concentrated on Kularian's ki signature: with all of the concentration placed on him, he closed his eyes a moment before the Soultaken noted the ki signature of the one being attack rise significantly. An advanced attack? He would just have to arrive after it is fired, or risk being caught in it. Though he could not be for certain, only a fool would allow themselves to battle three against one without the ability to attack all at one.

So, the prediator would just have to wait. Te drow stopped outside the barrier he calmly waited in a crouched position until he felt the outward exslosion of ki. It was then that his body flooded through the barrier. His body moved instantly as he flashed into the battle scene with a black cloak around him and long, blond hair with his back to the one that had released the attack, "I don't know who you are, or your goals. But lets make this a better fight. I've a grudge against the wolf man, so I am your ally. For now."

He was no time in sensing out the opponent's locations after the Nuclar Shockwave was finished in its powerful wave of destruction as his senses had picked up a much weaker foe that he should kill first; that would make the fight much easier on himself and this other person. He merely said, "Rei."

And it was then that the blade flashed out from the sheath as he appeared in front of his first victim, his mouth flashed a devilish grin was spread across his face, "Hey there little one." And that was followed without pause by a slash of his sword in a cross formation on the Saiyan's back that he would love to see carved into the back of certain foods. Even a Super Saiyan was no match for his pure speed. No, not even Kularian had handled the speed of his vessel in the last fight very well until Quon had gotten sloppy. And the alien was not done, however, after the first set of slashes. The second slash was another cross formation that swiftly cut that could break mountains. Even now, the Soultaken was not finished with his target.

He placed the blade down, the only pause in his flurry of attacks that seemed to have happened all at once. The strikes that followed were a mix of slashes and stabs as he aimed for the organs of the Saiyan, as well as the neck and the heart. He would not allow this prey of his to leave without taking damage, or rather, more damage. His wolf-like nose caught the smell of what must be Saiyan blood. No slashes could, after all, be left as just scratches and not draw some blood. "You'll be a casualty of war, young one," growled the Soultaken. Rei would not deny the wolf within; this desert would be awash with blood or ashes, this day.

Vast destruction, raw power

Sanara could see what was coming his way, and he had to say, he was not terribly fond of it in any way, shape, or form. He had to move, and fast - and the rising power of Chaos only reinforced the message. Instantly the Youko was on the move, pushing himself to the very brink of his speed, voyaging beyond the immediate field of battle, pressing himself all the way to the very edge of the barrier around the battlefield and throwing all his energy outward. The blast had scarcely reached here, at the very edge of its power; Sanara's aura alone protected him from rest of the energy, only a somewhat intense heat reaching him. Sanara stood, sideways in the air with his feet on the spherical dome, and used a combination of his scouter and his keen eyesight to figure out where his foes were, and the best way to perform his next maneuver.

"Dance, my little toys, dance," Sanara thought with half of a mental smirk as he let his feet leave the dome and sprinted off toward the distance.

It took him a few moments to regain the distance he had put between himself and Chaos, but when he did, he came with a vengeance. Sanara's arms wove a tapestry of glowing ki in their; no less than six balls of ki were fired into the air, two particularly large in comparison to the others. Sanara felt heavily taxed by the effort, but he was sure it would be rewarding when his foes felt the power raining down upon them.

Sanara smashed his fists together, and one after the other matching pairs of orbs began to smash into each other. First the smaller ones, sending dozens of ki beams arcing toward both of the enemies that Sanara had targeted, seeking them out at every possible moment, each one guided with a somewhat impressive amount of accuracy when considering sheer volume.

When the first barrage was just finishing its last hurrah, Sanara slammed his palms together again. Now the larger orbs, compensating for how his foes had moved, smashed once more, sending long waves of ki radiating out toward his enemies. The air was almost alive with the vibrations caused by the mass of energy being released, and Sanara's sensitive ears were ringing. But he gave no rest, no quarter; the second that he felt the second Kakusandan petering out he fired the third, final volley, sending dozens more just in time to (hopefully) wear down the defenses of the two fighters.

He was panting, but pleased. Sanara knew a barrage like that would not be so easy to defend.

[Loyal, Joining Chaos & Rei]

It was apparent to anyone who could sense energy or even people with Scouters: Hell had come to Earth.

Normally this would be exactly where Starrk wanted to be, but the massive exchange of power levels, combined with him not being in his immortal form made the entire situation a bit more dicey. Still, he couldn't allow a battle this enormous to take place without getting a piece of the action. Especially now that he'd gained an actual thirst for battle, he wasn't about to miss out on the opportunity to test his rejuvenated demonic skills.

Moving with his usual speed he followed the power levels of some of the most powerful fighters currently engaged in combat. One of them, he could feel was familiar but not the same. It wasn't a power level he had tangled with but one that Ayakon had met. It took him a moment to pinpoint it, but once he did he felt at ease. Kularian. The warrior was somehow not himself anymore, there was an erratic feeling to what Starrk picked up from his ki signature, and it seemed almost as though it couldn't be considered the same purpose. Still, the ki signature that it was battling was much larger. Not quite as great as the one towering above everything, but extremely large in its own right. Ayakon had once met Kularian in the field of battle. Now, it seemed, they were going to have a spiritual rematch of sorts. In order to do so Starrk would have to align himself with a figure that felt so dark that it almost felt like his demonic home, as well as another that simply felt… strange. No matter, an ally is an ally until they are an enemy, the demonic warrior thought as he appeared just outside of a massive barrier that seemed to be shielding the warriors from the rest of the planet. Perhaps this was someone's way of minimizing the damage that the world would sustain.

It didn't seem to be working.

With a single step the demonic warrior blurred out of sight and appeared on the opposite side of the massive barrier, continuing to walk through as normal. As he took each step he let his aura unflare so that his energy could burst out into the greatest that it could reach. He quickly scanned the area for friends and foes, locating who was fighting who as the energy of a massive burst of energy dissipated into thin air. The evil one, Starrk located and acknowledged and the one with the large blade, those two seemed to be working in tandem against Kularian, a Saiyan (judging by his hair) and another figure that… felt somewhat familiar, in an extremely unsettling way. Two against three? Unfair odds, the Demonic warrior smirked, his aura unleashing completely as he removed his hands from his pockets and prepped an attack. As he moved with blurred speed into the fray, he began to chant an ancient spell that he'd used against the warrior known as Tapion. As he neared his initial target, he chanted, "Mihi opus ad arcessenda potestatem… Mihi opus ad arcessenda potestatem… Mihi opus ad arcessenda potestatem!" With both hands open and ready to hold the energy, black portals appeared in Starrk's palms, drawing forth ki from Hell itself.

And in a blaze of speed he reached the one that unsettled him so, hoping to catch him off guard as he seemed to be recovering from whatever massive storm of ki he'd created that Starrk had just missed. As he rushed passed the first warrior, he released one sphere of burning red-gold energy straight at his foe. He stopped outright when he reached the Saiyan and fired off the other deadly burst of burning spherical energy straight at this weaker one. Ensuring that his mind was open in case any of the others tried to jump him, he stood sideways with only his head cocked and facing the weaker Saiyan, his hand on the hilt of his blade as he was prepared to fight full-tilt from the beginning forward. Not completely without manners, he gave his opponent his customary greeting.

"Yo."

A blood-thirsty grin was plastered across his face as he approached, the distance between himself and Chaos melting away as his arm pulled back... ready to tear the man apart... And then he struck air. His body seized up as he gave a low growl, not understanding what had happened, as his force moved straight through the one known as Chaos, but he had missed. No... he had definitely hit his target. The wolf whirled, his eyes going wide for a moment as the hazy image faded away from where he'd struck. Zanzouken. The wolf spat; he hated that technique.

The wolf's body, then, felt a sudden flash of insight. He could not say, for certain, where this had come from, but he had long since learned to trust his gut feelings. Kularian leapt upwards, his body twisting through the sky as he landed on the top of the dome, just as a burst of raw energy burst across the ground, something that he would have been certain would have killed him, if he had stood around to wait for it. However, he turned, pushing off of the wall as he rotated through the air, spinning once before he slammed his feet into the ground, sliding several feet.

His form halted for a moment, as a warrior stepped through the status field that he had generated, and seemed to lock eyes with Kularian for a moment. However, even with that being said, the wolf had no idea who this one was. Apparenty, he felt as if he were someone that knew the wolf, or at least, seemed to. However, the wolf's yellow eyes flickered from one to the other, as that one seemed to make a beeline for Sai. Kular grunted, before another stepped through the gate, and he arched a brow. "What the hell is this?" he hissed aloud, before the warrior started to unleash some hell on both Sanara and Sai, all of them seeming to leave the wolf unchecked. "Time to kill a bitch," he growled, a feral grin spreading across his features.

His body still burned with Kaio Ken, and he moved then, flickering quickly across the field of battle, his claws glowing with crimson energy. "HRAH!" he roared out, as his form seemingly melted from where it was from, and he reached Chaos first, his body slashing outward with those claws for the briefest of moments, trying to dig deeply, before he vanished, this time aiming for the dark-skinned one that was using his blade against Sai. And still, moving at a break-neck speed that was barely possible, and wouldn't have been if not for the power of Kaio Ken, he was gone again, dashing along the ground, before he reached the demon, his hand thrusting outwards as well.

And then... he moved again.

The wolf's body flickered as he attempted to tear into Starrk first, wanting to rip the man's bowels from his stomach before the wolf's body pushed faster and faster, sacrificing power for speed as he reached Rei. He did not hesitate, stricking viciously with those claw-like weapons of his before he was gone again, in that briefest of instants before he approached Chaos, still moving at that speed that likely would have liquefied another warrior of lesser caliber. But all these gathered here... were strong.

And then he struck outwards with his claw, speeding past the man before turning as his claws dug into the sand. It was then he released one of his hunting nets at Chaos, the wolf slamming down one claw into the ground as he did so, as his body was still moving away from that breakneck speed. However, the claw digging into the ground allowed him to slow, and he looked directly at Chaos, the three-point stance still holding. His eyes were gone, replaced with the white emptiness that came with his use of Kaio Ken.

"Going to kill every single one of you." The words carried no threat, but a promise.

The Cosmic Emperor
Roleplay Guide
They’ve come to snuff the rooster

It was shocking to think that somebody would willingly get involved in the titanic showdown in the desert dome. His senses felt the Ki and a moment later his ears heard the voice of a newcomer; a man who had quite the grudge against Kularian. The Regent did not turn around to face his momentary companion, a simple nod and a single word were his only response.

Chaos.

Whatever Rei’s intentions, he would make a fine ally for the time being provided he stayed out of the way. He smirked at the three warriors that made up the other team. They had made plenty of enemies and people seemed to be flocking for a chance to wreck them. Even now his sharp Ki sensing skill could detect the young fool from their Namek confrontation battling it out with two Cosmic Lords. His eyes widened ever so slightly as he was hit with an intriguing amount of information from the simple scan; the entire planet seemed to be teeming with power! Over a dozen massive powers had gathered across the globe with the largest levels of power radiating from the west.
It has already begun! Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of his blond haired partner dashing off to handle the weaker warrior he had first encountered.

Loud, long, booming laughter filled the dome as both Kularion and Sanara had played their parts as predicted. But what truly ignited Cosmic Regent’s bellowing laughter was not their futile resistance to the Empire nor that they were mere ants scouring the Cosmic Empire’s picnic table. It was the fact that these men thought they actually had him, that they actually assumed for a moment that they could contain him and even defeat him! He nearly gave an ovation at their tenacity, but failure was not something worth praise no matter how much effort is put forth. Standing sideways against the dome and somehow unscathed by the all-encompassing nuclear wave of destruction was Sanara, an especially familiar foe who had dropped down and moved to attack.

His attentions turned fully to the fox-eared fighter when his power level began to steadily increase.
Let’s see what you have up your sleeve. Half a dozen orbs of vibrant yellow hovered high into the crest of the dome where they remained for a few scant seconds. He let out a chuckle none could hear over the sounds of battle, but Chaos was familiar with this technique. His second-in-command, Kakarot, had used it while battling alongside the Regent before.

A deep red flame coalesced around his black and indigo aura imbuing his body with the power needed to see the barrage through. He watched as the first pair of orbs became one before splitting into several smaller spheres. The sky literally rained down energy, but the storm of energy was little more than a mist in comparison to the hellish attack he had unleashed moments ago. If they could find space to move so could he. His feet dug into the dirt, his legs preparing to spring into action. He ran in the opposite direction of Rei hoping to stretch the attack too thin to be very effective. As he moved several orbs detonated behind him as they crashed into the rocky floor mere inches from his heels.

His eyes shot over his shoulder at the devastation that followed him as he became aware of the next wave splitting above them. This round was much deadlier but just as slow to start. Even with his current momentum carrying across the battlefield he knew the risk of getting hit by one of the deadly spheres was too great to chance. His eyes narrowed with determination and the air was again filled by the static sound of his speed teleport sending him flickering across the desert at a mind numbing pace.

A thick trench formed in his wake and small critters began to pimple the face of the battlefield where ever he would appear and disappear and a deadly Kakusandan would strike. Hot air filled his lungs as he took deep labored breaths. He slowed slightly as his muscles began to fill with the lead weight of fatigue. The third volley was upon him already, nipping at his heels and closing in, coming so close to touching him.
Shit. He couldn’t keep the pace up forever and it seemed he would be victim the deadly embrace of Sanara’s attack.

Oh well.

He slid to a stop as several orbs erupted in a line towards him. It was true, he could keep running, and he could try to dodge every single orb. But the battle savvy warrior had too many techniques at his disposal to be so...predictable. Just when a dozen or so orbs seemed to finally hit their mark, the avenging rain of God to eradicate the universe of evil, something changed. There were no detonation, no destruction, no pain. Every ounce of Ki left in the air that fell towards him changed to small flames at his beck before converging around his figure in a raging inferno. The flame was so intense it drowned out the colors of his aura and instantly turned the ground around him black and burnt.

Fool! Did you think that would work? Do you not remember who I am? Or was all of your intelligence stored in our hood ornament?” the Regent chided.

His eyes turned to the wall of the dome where it seemed they had another guest. Even this man seemed interested in dishing out an ass kicking to his three opponents. It was remarkable. People were literally lining up to handle these heros. Granted, the Regent had wanted to keep all the fun for himself, motivated by revenge rather than business, but he was pleased with the events so far. Perhaps these two men were motivated for the same reason he was; the other team had a debt to pay and it was going to be paid with blood.

Chaos became aware of another spike of energy and his crimson gaze instantly went to the source; Kularian. The rabid warrior rushed towards him prepared to strike. He had to admit it, there was something about this fighter in particular that held his interest.
Let’s see what you’ve got, mutt. Drowned out by the intense flame raging around his form, Chaos’ black aura condensed to an impossibly thin layer of Ki that traced his body perfectly. His energy molded into a makeshift second skin just as the feral fighter was upon him. Several powerful strikes slammed into him. His eyes widened with surprise at the sheer violence of the attack. The wolf’s clawed ravenously and valiantly, but most of the assault could not compete with the Regent’s adamantium plated diamond armor and the layer of Ki covering his whole body. If not for those two fact...well, he’d rather not consider that especially in the heat of battle. Lamenting what could have been, good or bad, was useless during a conflict. All that mattered was the now.

And now Kularian was on the hunt again after attacking the other two and he was coming with renewed gusto. Chaos’ second skin flickered for second before he breathed a single curse. His defenses at full power held up decently against the weaker assault, but now his body shield was waning and the wolf was attacking more feverishly than before. He was knocked backwards with each strike as claw met fire met diamond met Ki. The Regent’s lips pulled back to reveal his perfectly white teeth. He snarled as bruises formed all over his body. The intense fire around his body licked the wolf’s fur each time he came in, the best offense he could mount while not actually attacking. The roar of flame and the echo of destruction in the distance was deafening. This man -wolf- was indeed something else. Here he had detected Kularian’s power as much lower than his, and yet this beast seemed to have raw physical strength on par with his own! Astounding.

He watched Kular rush off to the other fighters who had joined him. Deep, ragged breaths filled his lungs as he shook the fatigue and pain from his mind. His rugged hand idly massaged his sore hamstring noting how it limited his movements. He spat and cursed the wolf’s name once more. He could feel the tender spot loosening up but it would take a little bit of time before he was back to full mobility. Luckily he was able to continue moving at his top speed with the injury, just not for as long as he would like.

The sun was directly overhead casting its blistering rays over them. Crimson eyes surveyed the combatants holding the desire for one thing- death. Perhaps if they had gotten on their knees and begged for his mercy and repented for their sins when they met on Namek he would have been willing to let them live on as slaves to the Empire. But not now, not after the transgressions they committed against their god.

Saiyan Sword Master
It was by no accident that he had ran into Kularian, even on this battlefield. As the wolf had become a crazed whirlwind of madness, it was only through the efforts of the Spiridon that he could remove what the deity had planted. After that, of course, it would be up to the wolf. If he was alive after this, but he doubted that he would allow the man to live. No, there was little interest in that. "I suppose that I'll just have to slay the best," the Spiridon growled lowly.

There would be no Belle to stop him, and no worthless servants to argue for their master. Of course, after his offense, it was time for defense. The Youko attacked with a large fountain of energy from the sky; while he was using such an impressive area of effect attack, it was one that Roshi taught. The Soultaken hunkered down into a crouch and merely smirked as the attack rained down towards him. And then his sword was raised; the very energy that had fed the blast was now being drank up by the Soultaken. It was simple and it felt revitalizing to eat up this ki, though at the same time he was disgusted that he was taking in the Youko’s energy. Nasty traitor energy, though he would use it.

And it seemed that Sanara was not done. Another wave of energy adjusted, but merely to his position after the first attack had allowed him to easily see this coming as he was already looking at the sky. A low chuckle rang from the Tiste Andii as he growled, “Useless.” His form flowed, as he made his movement that of a river stream as he darted. To and fro, the attacks of the Youko, while impressive in size, was not really aimed, it seemed. It seemed more like a machine gun from the sky, ‘spray-and-pray’, if one would. And that, friends, was useless against the Soultaken.

Countless times had he encountered these tactics in Kurald Galain; the realm of his people. What a fool, that Youko believed this would defeat him. But of course, however, even as he screeched to a halt for the third attack, he was on the move again, this time as the wind. He moved not to and fro, but this way and that, in seemingly random directions. And his sensory net was blanketed through the battlefield as he finished the dodge. Ah, he was wholly relaxed the entire time. Why should he, after all, stress because of an attack that had just sucked so much ki from his opponent? A smirk spread across his face; fool. He would have to pay-

“Whoa there,” he taunted as his form slid back- nearly caught by the talons on the wolf’s hands. A fox and a wolf…he found that somewhat ironic. The Spiridon landed back as he muttered, “It seems that Kularian’s madness has grown fiercer than I had thought.” But, of course, the mad wolf was more predictable than not. While before he had been the type to attack a little less out of control, the madness seed had certainly sprouted and bloomed well. The Spiridon watched as his new alley, one he had not noticed earlier, was attacked. He’s never seen the demon, but it was clear what it was.

The pale skinned elf smirked as Kularian went to strike the man once more with that mad rush before he returned to rush at a second chance for Rei; and he was very much ready. As the second rush came in, the drow crouched low before his form slid straight for and then to the side of the claw attack- as the arm had started, so he had moved to the side.

But he was not finished. Even the wolf was not finished, but Rei had other plans. He rushed faster than the wind as the net was tossed at Chaos. Though Rei would usually not have defended against such a thing before, he knew that they needed to use Chaos’ power to win this fight. Amethyst ki flared around the drow as he drank up the ki that was used to create the net. His smirk went from ear to ear as he snapped, “No, no, little wolf. You are mine! Quon was my avatar while I was asleep. Its time you and I settled the score that was cut short that day.” Of course, Kularian had used much of his ki in those twin attacks. “Come, Kularian; will you be a coward and back down? Or face what Quon really was?”

"This has to end... before the planet suffers any more."

Sanara's eyes were cold. Their glossy silver irises seemed to almost reflect a dim red in them, a remnant of some smoldering hatred that was only just keeping itself in the recesses of his mind. But for once his mind was focusing on something other than the past. He could feel it in the air around them - latent ki, something that normally he would have chalked up to the massive amounts of power that were being released during the course of the battle. But this was different. It could've been his imagination, could've been a simple flaw in his barely present ability to sense ki... in fact, he hoped dearly that it was. But it felt more like a ki that had not been disturbed in thousands of years was being released; not used, not burned up, simply fading away into the thinning air around the battlers.

Like the planet itself was dying.

Earth had seen its fair share of turmoil over the millenia, of that there was no question. But how much more could the planet take? Rarely did fights of this caliber happen... and if his scouter could be believed, they were not the only ones engaged in such a battle. High Power Levels, spiking in patterns only the heat and passion of bloodshed could evoke, were rising everywhere.

"For the glory of the planet... for the sake of these people... We claim victory, NOW!" Sanara shouted, more to himself than anyone. He didn't care about being heard, about being noticed. He planted his feet, and made his resolution final as his aura rose around him.

Sanara saw the attack coming at him - through his scouter, mind you, but he saw it nonetheless. His eyes widened at the size of it - not up to his standards, perhaps, but impressive nonetheless. And then the attack was on him, a massive explosion of fire and power, consuming everything in its path-

And then Sanara reappeared, outside the radius, though barely. Whatever remnants of the afterimage he had left were scattered to the winds by the power of the blast, fragments of ki and light. Sanara took a deep breath, his lungs burning slightly from the exertion. The crater that had been formed by the impact of the attack was nothing to scoff at, and it reminded him just how dire the situation could be if things weren't turned around in a hurry.

"I just hope the planet can take a little bit more for the sake of our fight."

With that last thought the only dark cloud over his new determination, Sanara's aura began to rise. His black cloak fluttered in the wind as he let loose a cry of sheer jubilation and utter release as the last vestiges of restraint he held were loosed, along with the vast majority of his remaining power. Sanara's blue aura sent dirt scattering in every direction, temporarily shrouding the Youko in a spray of clay and mud.

When the spray cleared, the Youko's aura was down, but it was not for lack of power. Instead, every ounce of his body was condensing energy between the palms of his hand, where a bright blue orb was beginning to rise.

"Build the ki, mold it into the perfect rotation."

Sanara's feet shifted, and his power rose significantly. He could feel the power of another arriving, and he knew that he would need to react. He couldn't use this technique as he had hoped to... but it would still prove just as effective, perhaps more so. Still, he grit his teeth. This Power Level was new to him, foreign. The fact that this kind of person could still get people to fight for him was a sickening sign of the corruption in the universe.

"You must maintain absolute control over every particle of your energy, do not let it waver.

The ball of ki in his hand was shimmering from three separate points, but the sphere never once wavered, nor did the edges so much as flicker. As if in slow motion, he saw his hands moving forward. He was somewhat near the center of the action, keeping an almost equal distance between his foes as much as possible, well within striking range of an attack like this. Assured that by the time he fired none of them would move to a range at which dodging would be made easier, Sanara finished the thrust forward.

"And when the time comes, you must be able to separate the ki. Mold it, and do not allow it free reign, or all the energy you have built up will be wasted in a single, unstable shot."

Though he hadn't practiced with the technique as much as he would've liked to, Sanara could feel the energy at his fingertips and knew he had the necessary control over it. He could already tell it would work as he reached the apex of his thrust, toward the new arrival.

Sanara's hands drew back, but only halfway - then, just as quickly, he drove them forward. His silver hair shone a light cyan in the light he was creating with his attacks as he threw all of his energy into a beam directly at the dark Hybrid who they had been fighting the longest. Then he drew back, the blue beam now only shining with just one of its three lights, and fired the last of it at his weakest foe.

His energy was only then finally, truly expended; he stood with a tired look on his face and a massive, sudden headache, ready for whatever came at him next, his feet already resting on their fronts, ready to send him sprawling out of the way of any sudden maneuvers by his foes.

When are we eating?
Now this was what it was like to truly fight.

Heat emanating from pulses of world-shattering energy, auras that could crush a normal mortal freely pulsing as people with the ability to shatter bones with a thought were testing their might against each other. Starrk knew right away he was on the lower end of the strength scale around here, but of course that didn't mean that he couldn't do his best to keep up. A burning ki headed straight for him told him that he was about to get his first dose of extensive power, the likes of which he'd only met when he fought Tapion. His aura hardened into a protecting shield of ki in order to nullify the energy that the bestial warrior was using to attack, and at the same time he moved with outrageous speed in an attempt to evade and block the first and second strikes of a warrior that his ki-giver had once considered an ally.

He couldn't keep himself from being completely hurt, of course, but with any luck he could keep away from the brunt of the damage. Following after the wolf-like warrior, Starrk broke off from his path as the beast headed straight for the armored warrior. Starrk himself stopped just to the right of the evil one, halting just as the warrior had dug into the sand to halt his movement. He prepped himself for an actual technique but before he could, he felt something coming, something extremely big.

The demonic warrior's eyes widened as he felt a quickly gathering ki with a deadly aura coming at him. Damn. Coyote Starrk waited until the last moment, well aware that the power level of this foe was much higher than his, and that it would take precision to avoid this technique. The three beams came at him and his allies, barreling towards them with massive power. Starrk squinted and waited until the last moment before he threw himself to the side, leaving a free-standing version of himself that glimmered with a blue-grey aura until it was devoured by his foe's massive beam. Starrk recovered from his roll and landed on his feet, taking an instant to wipe the loose sand off of his outfit. He looked between his two remaining foes and said, "Well then, I guess it's time to get serious. How bothersome." He spared a moment to scratch the back of his neck before he unleashed himself completely.

He allowed his aura to flow freely, his ki completely unfettered and his energy unbound. His power level rose rapidly and as it did he allowed himself to gather energy from the realm of hell, pulling it straight into the jaw bone that hung on his chest. The bone began to grow bright gold and Starrk prepared himself to receive it, rushing at the bestial warrior that had so far been a more than fair opponent. He threw his arms out wide and in an instant the energy had transferred from his chest to his arms, forming two massive spheres of golden ki. As the energy transferred, Starrk ran up to Kularian with all the speed that he could muster, leaving a series of mirages in his wake that made it difficult to tell where the real coyote happened to be, and when he reached him he threw his hands together at the wrists, muttering, "Difinitiva… Destello." And combined the two spheres into one gargantuan golden beam that he aimed to use to obliterate the bestial man.

Even as he did, he knew that such a thing wouldn't be the final nail in this warrior's coffin, so as the energy flowed he continued to move himself, swirling around the warrior (but obviously not mixing with his own energy), and removing his weapon from its sheath yet again. He moved with all the speed her could muster, leaving after images of himself in every movement as he aimed for Kularian's weak points, attempting to hit his heart and lungs with three rapid strikes, then a hard horizontal slice to the base of the neck with the intent of severing the spine. The remaining three strikes went to nerve clusters in the shoulders and solar plexus. When Coyote Starrk got serious, he really aimed to kill.

Pulling himself back for a moment, he pulled from his inner reserves to recover energy. One of the benefits of being from Hell was that you had quite a few ways of recovering your ki.

The Wolf landed after his brutal barrage of attacks, feeling that while he had some blood on his claws... it wasn't nearly enough. That other one... the one that seemed to be after him, he had felt its power coming towards himself and Chaos, actually raisin as he seemed to have drained the electricity from the Net he had thrown at Chaos, turning it into raw power. He grunted; the ridiculousness of these people would never cease, from what he saw. What had started out as a simple murder of the man that had fragmented and destroyed the Justice League was now ridden with people who did not belong here, in this battle.

He growled low, fur standing on end. He simply wanted to slaughter them all.

However, at that moment, his scouter began to beep, indicating to his left. He turned, stance opening as he saw the demon beginning to approach him. A sphere of dangerous, golden ki was held in each hand, and as he continued to draw closer, Kularian began to wonder of whether or not this was some form of the Beam Ball technique he'd seen Rem use on a number of occasions, or if this was something else, such as a variation of the Big Tree Cannon he'd seen Trunks fire. It was either going to end up being a duo of spheres, containing destructive force, or forced together into a single globe of death, and fired outward, a ray of unrelenting, uncaring force, destroying all that stood in its way.

The wolf's eyes then seemed like they were beginning to decieve him, as he saw not one, not two, but several of this demon as he moved, the other trying to use the power of his speed to leave behind those transient, souless images of oneself. Time seemed to slow as the man approached, and Kularian, still under the effects of a KaioKen, increased that output by five hundred percent, letting his own mind and body start to overload with the sensory input information. Even still, his eyes were not reliable, and thus he used his other senses. His ears twitched as they heard the footfalls, the slight bursts of wind and ki whenever the opponent moved, and his nose follwed the trail, able to sense when and where he was zig-zagging, putting together a rough pattern of where the demon might land. A familiar scent, that one... but the wolf had no time to ponder it.

And then, in that moment, all sound stopped, all movement seemed to slow to a crawl as he heard no foot falls, just a bit of a chant, which indicated to Kularian that the attack nearly about to come. He began to move then, his feet trying to take him to the left. However, even the enhanced speed that he had, the power that was available within him was not enough to fully overcome the power that this one had brought to bear against him. He felt a searing pain in his right side as he avoided (thankfully) the majority of the beam, glancing down at his side to see a solid inch of fur and flesh simply seared away. Thankfully, the virulence of the attack had seared the wound shut... at least he wouldn't have to wrory about bleeding.

He grunted as he landed hard, rolling once before coming up to his feet, just in time to see that demon coming at him again. A snarl emanated from the wolf's maw as he hardened his fur, wearing it like a secondary suit of armor as the blows came in, fast and furious. The strikes were slim and rapid, meant to strike at weak, vital points in order to cripple. He grunted, his fur able to stave off the worse of them, and he managed to catch two of the strikes, the ones aimed at his heart and spine, enout with his hand to push them just outside of that vital point range. They still stung, but the wolf was used to stings; it was the serious blows that really rattled him after a moment. But still, he was getting sick and tired of this one always in his face. "Get OFF!" he roared as the red aura flared around him, anew, as he thrust out a fist, the sheer power rippling from it actually transferring the force of the fist into the air molecules, which swam forward, all aimed directly at the Demon's face as he took that breather.

And then, Kularian gave a howl of ferocity and rage as he suddenly vanished from there, covering the short distance as he left that demon behind, his eyes still holding for only one prey: Chaos. His form moved across the landscape in a blur of motion, before he started to channel the rage into raw power. "GET OUT OF MY WAY, LONG EARS!" he roared at the one that stood between himself and his target before flickering around to the side of Chaos, and he threw out his first, rage-filled strike in a rising liver blow, aimed to weaken the entirety of the man's body in a single strike before, as he finished his ascent, the left claw hurtled forward, aimed to rip out the man's throat with those claws of his.

His side ached, painfully, but he ignored that flaring agony now. He didn't care if he lived or died in this fight; all that he wanted to do was to see Chaos put into the ground. Alongside himself if necessary. The other two that were attacking him... they weren't important, not to Kularian's vengeance. Mere nuisances, really. He wasn't much speaking, now, his voice simply a low, rumbling growl as he finished his onslaught, not bothering to move from Chaos' proximity, leaving the three of them standing in a tight circle, it seemed like.

Nobody makes me bleed my own blood! Nobody!

Explosions tossed dirt and thick black plumes of smoke into the top recesses of their cage. The entire world was being torn asunder by the titanic clash of super powers. It was turning into quite the spectacle locked away in their little chunk of hell and Chaos was relishing every second.

His eyes snapped towards Sanara when another burst of energy began to radiate from him. In a flash a burst of bluish Ki was hurled towards him but he was more than prepared. Inches in front of him a crimson ripple in space took the powerful attack head on, twisting and swallowing the massive amount of energy whole. The portal melted away revealing the Regent’s menacing figure completely unfazed. Ignoring a shouting voice, he through his head back to laug--

Ahchk!

A fresh wave of pain exploded through his body and spit flew free of his mouth as an impossibly powerful punch managed to slip past his defenses. He let out a an animalistic growl so animalistic that could have been mistaken for the wolf’s. Icy pain snaked through his neck when Kularian’s attack found its mark but narrowly missed a deadly strike thanks to the Regent’s dense armor. Even so, the sheer physical strength behind the attack knocked him off of his feet and propelled him several yards back. He caught himself mid-role with his right hand and flipped back to his feet. He was disoriented but he was still breathing.

His fingers gently felt the tender spot on his neck and felt something warm and wet. While the beast’s claws had missed Chaos’ throat they did manage to sink and drag across his jaw bone and up his cheek. A fresh gush of blood flowed to meet his fingers and pool at his neck where his armor began. He winced when the digits dabbed at the wound to asses the damage confirming that he’d live. His opponents though...their lives were another matter entirely. His eyes twitched when he pulled his fingers away and gazed upon the dark liquid coating them. Dark crimson orbs snapped towards the headstrong prick. They...just...never....learn...They never...stay...dead....

He glanced at the broken body that once belonged to the poor bastard Chaos had used as bait. The one these heroes had tried and yet again failed to save.

"
Don't you idiots get it? You've already failed! Look at your friend! I can already feel his life force draining away."

A black pillar of energy touched the tip of the stasis field as Chaos’ power manifest in a twisting maelstrom of raw Ki. The earth split and deep fissures snaked outwards from where he stood. The violet glow outlining the dark column cast an eerie light over all the combatants as finally he had released the full extent of his power.

Another portal opened just in front of and above him where his outstretched hand waited. He smirked as he caught the black instrument from Hell. The Demon Horn let out a silent trumpet that was inaudible to mortal ears. They would hear it though. All around Kularian the shadows suddenly began to morph into ferocious shapes and grotesque monstrosities. Blood thirsty howls grated against their ears as the denizens of Hell swarmed the wolf intent on holding him in place and allowing the Regent to free his soul.

The black horn erupted in a brilliant shower of crimson particles and returned to the Regent’s treasury. One more item would be pulled from his massive collection. His fingers snatched the hilt of a sword poling out of one of the familiar portals. The black double-edged weapon glowed with a deep indigo from its tip to the chain that hang from the handle. He gave one last sauntering gaze at the wolfman who had drawn his blood. In the next instant he was already upon his target with the dark weapon at his side ready to swing.

He circled the beast, hacking and slashing, stabbing and cleaving at various angles. A deep trench formed a near perfect circle around Kularian’s position, all the while Chaos was not more than a black blur that crackled with crimson energy. He hoped to inflict has many cuts as possible without actually killing the fierce fighter so he could drag out his agony even longer. He escaped watching his friends get destroyed on Namek. Not this time. No, he would have a front row view and then maybe he’d learn his lesson, a lesson Sanara never seemed to understand. UT ain’t nothin’ to fuck wit.

Ignorance; it was something that the Youko must have been. Ignorant to the fact that he had just thrown out large quantities of ki in an attempt to slaughter the lot of his allies. A low growl came from the lips of the Tiste Andii as he rose his blade up, the single edged weapon flared with energy. His allies were all on the attack after some quick defenses. While he was, in truth, the defense. That was all about to change! The betrayer decided that he was going to try and save the Earth; well, as it was, it seemed he was the one that was damaging the Earth. Pockets and craters where the first three had landed all around the ground. So, he did not understand the nonsense that the Youko was spouting. Victory? How foolish. Even heard, it meant little.

But then the Youko fired beams at the trio gathered against their now-standing duo. Not only was he rude, but he seemed to like to waste even more time. The Tiste Andii backpedaled as he brought his blade up as the blue beam drew closer and closer at an alarming speed. He was forced to draw out the capsule that he carried with him as he crushed the item; unlike many other items, this one served an even greater purpose. A barrier of artifical ki flared around his being as the Tiste Andii growled. The attack slammed him into the barrier, but that was the most that it would do to him. For now he was angry; and it was not to come out well. His aura flared in an absense of light; darkness from the Kurald Galain portal granted the drow strength in this fight, even as he had defend from these powerful attacks.

But Sanara was not his target, even if he was annoyed by what the Youko had said. He seemed to tilt like a drunkard as his sword fell on the ground as his body leaned to the left side before his body flowed towards Kularian. The Tiste Andii watched as the attacks of his demon combatent and Chaos unleashed their attacks. As soon as Chaos' attack ended, his body and another split; the two moved back and forth with the same speed, mirroring each other before the both of them slid in towards the space that Kularian attacked within. The illusion struck out with a fist aimed at Kularian's face. The real Rei attacked him from all over the place. His body was as a tornado as he flowed all around Kularian with a flurry of punches and jabs with twin fingers aimed at the wolf's pressure points. How gloriously brutal this attack was, as he aimed to shut down Kularian by overwhelming him with delicious pain.

The attack ended as he backed off after seconds, but he had little time to think of his previous actions. As his right fist retracted, his arms suddenly thrust forward as he aimed one punch at the kidneys of the wolf with the force of an ox on a rampage. The second blow was aimed to break the right arm of the wolf as his arms blurred with the very speed that these fist struck all at once for the final blow as each aimed a punch at a vital area, bar his hear. Honestly, who attacked the heart without a weapon?

Even then, Rei was not finished! The fury of the wolf may have just exspired, but the influence left by it was undeniable. His body heaved with a heavy expulsion of air before he roared, "Ora ora ora ora ora!" His fist flew like snake strikes as the Hassuken blurred the deadly knuckles that he rained upon Kularian's body; left cheek, right chest, left thigh...the list of targets were muscled parts of Kularian's body that were replied in to power the beast. Of course, these were only meant to hamper the wolf in his next barrage.

But, he was finished with Kularian. He decided to take other matters into his own hands. He jumped back once before his body shifted as he grabbed his sword from the ground and smirked as he roared, "Ready, Sanara? Revenge will be mine!" Revenge for what? That would likely be a valid question. Well, the answer was simple; ignorance. He had left Eternal Sin without trying to help save it. And that, that is what Rei could and would never forgive Sanara for.

"This isn't going how I'd hoped..." Sanara muttered to himself. They weren't losing, not yet anyway - by all means, he himself had yet to take a single blow from their foes. But it was a losing battle; with the Saiyan down, they were outnumbered, and they didn't have the energy to keep fighting like they were for too much longer. Furthermore, what he had hoped was the last attack of the battle had been quite easily evaded for the most part - only the weaker of the three fighters took anything at all, and he had some Capsule Corp tech that reduced the power of his attack significantly. If he hadn't put as much energy into it as he did he wasn't sure it would've done much of anything at all.

And now the fighter was running at him. Sanara narrowed his eyes - by the way the fighter approached, it seemed fairly obvious that he was going to try to stay in close, cut to Sanara's absolute minimum range, and barrage him with physical blows.

Sanara would be having very little and none of that.

The Youko spun on one heel and dug the other through the air with all due force, aiming to land it somewhere along the ridge where his jaw met the top part of his skull. That dealt with, and putting some extra distance between himself and the fighter to be safe, he looked around the battlefield.

Kular was being assaulted - first by the newest arrival, then the darkest hybrid. Sanara bode his time, waiting until his ally had put quite a bit of distance between them - he would have no chances after this. At least, probably not; he could never be absolutely certain what would happen in the heat of battle.

Both of Sanara's hands raised at once. In his right, a grenade was clutched - one that he threw at the weakest foe, the one he had put the distance between. In his left, he raised a mystical artifact that he pointed directly at the darkest warrior. A glowing blue light gathered around the tip, signifying the activation. As a similar glow started to build up around the dark warrior, Sanara wasted no time in taking action.

His body blurred, his ki signature disappearing only in time to reappear several yards away and directly behind his only remaining ally on the battlefield.

"Sorry," he grunted, knowing full well the personality of this man. But he gave him no chance - he wrapped a limb around the waist of the wolf and threw two fingers to his forehead instantly. "But we're not sticking around to fight a losing battle."

With just that, Sanara focused all his energy into throwing them outside the barrier. Their forms blurred as he transported their very beings across space and time, directly through and to the other side of the Stasis Field Generator surrounding the battlefield, safely outside the line of fire, several hundred yards away. Sanara grunted and yanked on the wolf man's arm, relying on the raw shock he hoped he had inflicted to overcome the man's strength - he wouldn't be satisfied until they were several kilometers away. They would gather the rest of their alliance before going anywhere.

When are we eating?
The beam of golden energy dissipated and Starrk's sword strikes hit some of their marks, but in the end the bestial warrior was still up. Of course, a warrior of this caliber would take quite a bit more to take down. In his fury, the wolf-like creature let out a roar of power before punching straight at Starrk with an amazing amount of power. Almost too much. Starrk was back on guard in an instant and transferred the energy coming at him into a fiery aura of his own, managing to stay on his feet but being forced to take a step back as the wolf launched himself at the most powerful warrior on the battlefield. The third one came in to join in the fray and Starrk readied himself to attack again, but before he could everything changed.

And a quick scuffle later the fight seemed to be over. The strange swordsman grabbed Kularian and seemingly forcibly transported him to the other side of the barrier, attempting to get themselves free of the battle. Cowardice. As his power level began to rise, something welled up in Starrk that he realized he hadn't felt for a very, very long time.

Fury.
Pure, actual, fury.

Is that what this feels like? He grinned maliciously and realized the only way that he was going to keep his opponents from escaping was to destroy the cage that they'd tried to leave Starrk and his circumstantial allies in. And, of course, now he had to stop them. He wasn't about to let this new-found aspect of emotion be wasted on calming down or whatever else. His power level was rising and it was all he could do to keep it in control and stabilized until he could reach his target.

He raced towards the edge of the dome and shouted to the other two, "You're going to want to get back. I'm going to aim this as best I can, but it's still far too much power to control completely." As he reached the edge of the dome his power level hit its maximum, almost hitting the peak that it'd reached just moments ago. This time, however, he couldn't control it into one single beam. He tried to aim it through his arms, shooting them outwards against the barrier and shattering it like fragile glass. However, the energy came out like a fractured dome, shooting just about every way that was possible and making sure that the cage had been broken.

He lowered his arms and continued to run towards the two foes that were now yards away. He reached them in only a few moments, holding out his hands and charging a sphere of burning blue energy in his open palms. As he reached them, he leaped high into the air over them and fired off the energy attacks as he reached the pinnacle of his leap, shooting one sphere of fiery ki at the wolf man and the other at the swordsman. He ended his jump with a bit of flourish, spinning to face them as he landed, now standing a reasonably safe distance in front of them. He was breathing quite heavily but with his hand on his blade. He looked between the two of them and asked, "Are you two going somewhere? This fight is just getting interesting. Surely you'd like to stick around."

It wouldn't be difficult to see that he'd used up quite a bit of energy at this point. Remarkably, however, he still seemed quite ready to keep going.

No matter how many times Kularian attacked, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to force these bastards down to the ground. They kept managing to turn his attacks against him, no matter how hard he tried to force them into the ground. A low growl rippled outwards from him as Chaos, still reeling from the blows he'd taken, managed to pull out that blade and rush forward at the wolf. His body was weak, and he felt as if he were on his last legs, yet the wolf would not go down, not this easily. "KAIO KEN! TIMES TWENTY!" he roared outwards, the fiery aura resonating around him as he pulled up his arms, forcing his body to dictate where the attacks were taken, trying to lessen the damage to the majority of his form.

And then he felt the other approaching him, and could tell that there were two, with a single glance. That... would not be something that he would want to deal with, as he simply moved from his location, transposing himself a fair way across the field. He panted, more than a little out of breath as his form continued to erupt in flames. Yet the other was not done, the elven warrior approaching him yet again. However, even with the fact that he was mostly dead, as far as his endurance went, he was not done yet. He was still the master of hand to hand fighting, and none had the gall or skill to defeat him when it came to this deadly game. As the other approached, using the technique that Kular himself was quite familiar with, in using eight arms, he also knew its weakness- to keep up that deadly speed, one had to sacrifice defense to the abdomen. And thus, Kular's fist snapped outwards, and while it seemed to only contain one fist, it was a trio, all in a single punch. The force that he struck with was incredible, as it slammed into the other's stomach.

It was then, that his Kaio Ken faded, yet it seemed that his immediate counter attack on the elven warrior had dampened his resolve somewhat, as the next set of attacks, even with his weakened form, he was allowed to find yet another loophole in. The strikes were too formed of speed, and not enough of skill, it seemed to the melee specialist, and he avoided the initial strike simply by guessing (correctly) the path of the incoming attack. He read it like an open book, his form sliding just a few inches to the left, allowing the attack to skim the air near his skin before countering this attack. A single, powerful strike from his left fist, followed by a pair from his right, aimed at chest and jaw, served to force the other one back, to give him breathing room.

And then Sanara grasped him from behind. "NEVER!" he roared outwards, bursting free of the fox-man's body just before he vanished, leaving Kularian alone here. Sai was already dead, and Sanara had abandoned him in the middle of combat. His formed seethed with rage as a low growl emanated from himself. There... there was not a way that he could win this, even with his dangerous power. There were simply too many components, too many variables, and he had not the time or the ability to fight this many at one time.

However, it seemed that the Demon... he was not one who wished to let Sanara go. Kular glanced at Sai, and a dark, wolfish grin spread across his face before he charged forward, his form rippling across the battle field as the other pulled together an enormous amount of ki. "SANARA! TELL NOVA!" he roared outwards, the strange warrior from across the universe the only one that Kular felt would have a chance. He was reckless enough to perhaps find a way to destroy these heathens, and put an end to their fighting. "HRAAAAAHHH!" he roared out as his own form intercepted the ki attack, leaving the Status Field Generator safe, giving his ally enough time to escape.

Kularian, on the other hand, felt his life slipping away. The attack had... well, it had been brutal, and as he had not time to construct a defense, to try to stop some of the damage... he looked over at Sai. "See you soon, bro," he croaked out, before his eyes closed, and his soul vanished from this plane of existence.

MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY

A deafening explosion filled their confinement and with it came the tortured cries of a fallen hero. Chaos’ arm came up to protect his face from the heat and debris feeling Sanara get further and further away.
Where the hell do you think you’re going? His other hand took aim towards the retreating nuisance but after a few moments he understood it was too late. Sanara would meet his fate another day.

Another burst of heat blew his hair back as the aftershocks from Starrk’s impressive attack subsided. He sighed and dusted off his armor. In the distance he could still make out the twisted form of Sai, while he could only imagine what remained of the wolf-man. He took a step into the air and hovered smoothly to Sai’s motionless body, completely ignoring the two men who had joined him.

His feet touched down a moment later gently knocking a puff of dirt into the air. He knelt next to the battered Saiyan body with his sword still in hand and still dripping with Kularian’s blood. With a violent yank Chaos brought Sai’s body off the ground to stare into his milky white and now soulless eyes. A quick flick of his blade cut through the soft tissue of Sai’s neck, easily knifing through arteries and vocal chords and exiting cleanly. The heart must of stopped quite some time ago and the crimson mist produced from the decapitation was rather unsatisfying. Sai’s body hit the sand with a wet thud before collapsing in a pile of bone and gore. The Regent clenched the head for a moment longer until he tossed it into the air where a portal appeared and stored the trophy with all of his other treasures.

Now, onto more interesting matters. He turned back towards the other corpse and flew over at a quicker pace, worried the others may already be exacting their revenge. He was pleased to find that the other’s were more concerned with the coward who had made it to the other half of the world by then. They turned out to be pretty useful, something he would keep in mind. He landed with his feet on either side of Kular’s lifeless body. His smirk inverted, his expression turned dark, and he reached down and lifted the beast up by the fur on his chest. He tilted his head to the side, letting out a snarl as he regarded the furry pain in his ass.

See you in Hell.

The Regent growled, then grabbed onto the wolf’s skin with a strong grip and pulled back. The entire burnt hide came off in one snap like any animal pelt. Kularian’s intestines and other organs, along with a geiser of blood, fell to the ground and Chaos dropped the corpse. His hand wrapped tightly around the charred and gore covered fur, gazing at it how an artist would regard their final touches.
This will do just fine.

Just as with the head before the werewolf hide disappeared into a crimson ripple in space until he needed it. He flicked his hand a few times spraying the dusty ground with blood. At this point he wasn’t even sure whose it was. It could be his own as more continued to ooze from the fresh cut that would surely scar down his cheek and neck. It could be the decapitated Saiyan’s, or the skinned wolf at his feet. Honestly, he didn’t care. He got what he wanted-- mostly. His felt for Sanara. If he thought he could stick his nose where it didn’t belong all the time and not pay the price, he was wrong. Dead wrong. With a final glance to the two gentlemen who had intervened, he gave them a knowing nod before lifting off and exiting the area when the stasis field final flickered and faded from existance.

Sai - Dead
Kularian - Dead
Sanara - To be continued...
