It had been at least an hour since the landing on the strange planet. Using the navigational computer yielded the information that it was a planet called Mortoseth. Junior had unveiled the ship in hopes of gaining some rest and valuable training. After all, he had not come alone. Seated at a table inside was a young impressionable teenager. Having taken the time to properly groom himself, he now sought to amuse himself with some simple magic tricks involving a deck of cards placed in front of him. The deck in question was being spread out with a single motion of his fingers within his hand. It seemed like the typical ‘pick a card’ trick. But then with another simple movement of his hands, he re-stacked the deck in the palm of his hand. Then he managed to close his hand over the entire stack for a moment. He opened his palm again. The deck had vanished.

The young man cracked a slight smirk, closed his palm and then shifted his index and middle finger, revealing the Ace Of Hearts between them. Close and open extending his ring finger he revealed the Ace of Spades between his middle and ring finger. Then again he did it revealing the Ace of Diamonds. One missing, he thought to himself. He placed the cards face up on the table. Then, he did the open and close of his left palm, revealing the Ace of Clubs between his fore and middle finger. The full set.

“And now for the rest,” he uttered to himself.

He waved his left hand closely over his ear, and then down before his heart. A sharp motion of the fingers and he spread out the rest of the deck of cards in his grip. The boy placed the deck back into stack position within his hand. Then placed the deck face upon the table and used his hand to evenly spread the cards over the table still leaning upon each other. As he about settled himself with having successfully performed a feat of magic, the foot steps of someone else reached his ears and brought his attention up. Emerging into visibility was the one Hiiragi Junior. The boy noticed a look of focus in Junior’s eyes as he passed by. He seemed to be going somewhere.

“Ittekimasu,” he spoke.

The boy at the table immediately replied, “Matte, sensei!”

Sensei; the boy was a student of Junior’s. Junior turned to him and raised a brow.

“Daisuke-kun?”

“Ya wa doko ni iku?”

“Ikutsu ka no kuki ga hoshi. Mata kimasu!”

Junior walked out after that, leaving Daisuke pondering. He followed him to the exit of the ship where he found his teacher seated upon the Flying Nimbus. The two said nothing this time. Junior merely waved and let himself take off into the sky. As Junior moved further and further from sight, young Daisuke’s eyes narrowed.

Sensei’s mood is strange today.

As the passing thought came and went, the boy cracked a grin. His eyes shifted back to the inside of the ship.

“Still, while sensei is away...”

The boy presented a nonchalant manner as he walked by his table, picking up his cards. He returned to his chamber in the ship and opened the closet door spotting a chest on the floor. He opened it and his grin broadened.

“Perhaps the magician will play...”

--------

Junior’s mind was heavy. A lot to do. A lot to think about. He still found himself preparing for the day Kento returned to administer a special test. As much as he wondered what the test could be, losing focus on the here and now to ponder it seemed like a waste of time. A lot of his time now was spent training Daisuke. WIth the general absence of Gosai and Jared off chasing adventures of his own, the boy felt the need to set his own path. This meant resolving his doubts and moving on. After all, he couldn’t teach what he hadn’t learned himself. Flashing back to his earlier life was slowly but gradually putting him back into the right mindset on things. He was meant to be the beacon of light, a symbol of hope; a hero. The clouded mind must be cleared.

For someone who couldn’t fly, Junior did a good job of doing most of his thinking in the air. It was strange to be in the air thinking like this on a world he’d never seen before. He should be alert, senses tuned into the surroundings for danger; and those in danger themselves. Junior hadn’t done any real heroics in some time. Admittedly because he usually required the confidence given to him by Gosai or someone else. But the courage to do right always came to him on his own when he was younger. Why did that have to change? Besides Gosai did not seem like the type of person that wanted someone clinging to him for strength. And Junior should be past the stage in which he had to be this way. That in mind, his senses reworked themselves. He began to to focus on the world that was Mortoseth in hopes of getting an idea of his environment.

“Urgh!”

Junior’s expression became morbid. Dark powers all over the place and a sense of helplessness polluted his focus. This planet was a hostile one. He suddenly became concerned for having left Daisuke alone. Turning back was an immediate plan of action. But then his senses were further polluted. Mentally he directed the cloud to take him down. As he descended, darkness began to dominate the area. It was as if he crossed the borderline to the night itself. He leapt off of the cloud and landed upon a rock structure elevated above the rest of the ground. Then he peered out along the now darkened landscape. Junior almost felt frozen in place. He sensed something out there that was...familiar. As his senses homed in on this life force, the boy’s brows quivered, clearly out of his own fear. Junior could feel it deep within his gut that he knew what it was. But he hadn’t sensed something like that since....since...

Someone's watching.  I know it.  But who this time?  I watched as Jack was hauled off by police officers.  Could someone he works with be trailing us?

Junior tried to remain calm.  That way he could sense the energy of whoever it was that might seem suspicious.  His biggest concern would be these two.  All else just seemed to not matter to him.  The surroundings faded by way of a mental illusion cast by his own efforts.  He was this deep into thought.  The pair of eyes upon him felt uncomfortably close.  That's when he realized it.  Head turning slightly to the side, he noticed from the corner of his eyes.  A man had been standing there this entire time looking at them.  He was the one! He wasted no time revealing himself either.

Are you having fun over there with your friends, boy?

Junior's face went cold as the lenses of his glasses glazed over.

And who are you? Junior's thoughts seemed to reach back.

My name is Cold and you have something that belongs to the Cosmic Empire. I have come to collect this relic and your life, along with your friends if need be. Face me now in mortal combat or accept your grim fate and leave that relic upon the table beside you. What say you, little man?

As he thought.  With Jack dispersed of, the next contender seemed to step up.  But the scary thing about this one seemed to be the fact that he had a great deal of power housed within himself.  This was a terrible moment indeed.  Such an enemy appearing now posed a threat not only to himself but the two friends he had with him.  What's worse, he could possibly expose the secret Junior had been hiding from Shaira and Lex for all this time.  Their safety and his secret seemed to be the brunt of his concerns.  But Shaira and Lex seemed completely unaware of the darkness looming in their direction.  That is until Shaira looked up.

"Junior? Are you ok?"

Junior had no idea how to answer her.  For it seemed no matter what he decided to do, this "Cold" person was determined to antagonize them.  Lex was now looking at him as well.

"JR? What's up dude?" Lex asked.

Junior just shook his head.

"Nothing.  Was just thinking you two looked a little tired."

The two looked back at him, confused.

"Huh? I feel fine, Junior." replied Shaira.

"Me too."

Junior's glasses were still glazed over as he stared at them.  In a moment's notice however, the two felt a jolt of impact against their neck.  The impact was enough to bring them unconscious.  Junior was rather nonchalant at this point.  It was safe to say Shaira and Lex would not regain consciousness for some time.  Luckily they had just finished their food.  One concern was dealt with.  But now he was left with the other.  Now he turned to face this guy.  The dragon ball was then drawn from a pouch he had attached to his belt.  He held it up for the man to see.

"This is what you want right?"

With the snap of his wrist, Junior hurled the ball right at him, confident his antagonist would simply catch it.

"As far as I'm concerned the ball isn't worth the trouble to simply defend it.  However, the pass you make at the lives of me and my two friends I just simply couldn't allow."

Same guy. It had to be. Was he after Junior again? It seemed doubtful. Last time this ‘Cold’ had managed to sneak up on Junior almost entirely without detection. This time he was clearly occupied and Junior thought of himself to do something to catch this monster off guard. Once he settled his nerves, it was decided upon. This monster was most likely antagonizing someone else by now if Junior could detect him already. He wouldn’t do it to anyone else. Promise made! A shade of black was present over his eyes as he sat there with his head hung, hair moving slightly about. He leapt off the rock surface, now sliding down the side of it toward lower ground. Once there, only a trail of dust could be seen as he blazed off toward his target. Junior had the breathing pattern of someone in angst. The biggest motivation for what he was doing was pure determination and courage. His training with Kento had been about facing and absolving his past; forgiving himself for things he truly did his best to handle only to come up short. Finding the power to believe himself capable again.

As he speedily approached his target, he would begin to gain visual. His eyes grew wide the moment he did. He was really doing this. Junior intensified his glare and pressed on. His ears listened in on his own foot steps. He heard none. Silent shoes, they most definitely were. Junior couldn’t even hear himself running. That was perfect. It meant that Cold wouldn’t either. His power was kept low to keep whatever means of detection the monster had from going off before Junior wanted. Now all of this was a matter of timing. Junior raised his right wrist over his face before turning on angle, not losing speed, not changing his breathing. He threw himself into a back flip all the while his clothing began to morph quickly until he hands appeared wrapped in bandages, his pants became shorts, and shirt lost sleeves. He landed off his backflip back to back with his foe. Then he jumped up no more than two feet and allowed his power to surge to 75% of its full extent. Then with a vicious spin and cocking back his left fist, Junior shot his fist square ‘round for monster’s unsightly face cheek, hoping to make bone-crushing impact or some equivalent thereof and rocket the foe off like a soccer ball for the winning goal. He could only hope there was something solid for Cold to crash into. He was also glad this wasn’t soccer or else he’d have been penalized for using his hands.

He landed on the ground in a crouch. Junior heard something in the air. It was the approach of Nimbus. Junior started bolting in a solid sprint, the nimbus now coasting by his side in the direction of his foe. He jumped upon the cloud, energy ignited, and went soaring only a foot over the ground to close the distance. Junior flipped himself off when he got as close as necessary, momentum still pushing him as Nimbus took a sharp right before shooting off into the sky into the clouds momentarily. With he forced his legs forward with hopes of crashing into Cold’s body with both his feet. Then his body took a sharp jump forward, Junior spinning himself around like a top. He landed upon the ground, feet skidding. His hands went to work relieving himself of the bands on his wrists that then dropped to the ground with a heavy thump. He then threw his arms out. Eyes on the ground in front of him, Junior channeled mental focus. His hands went up. With them he willed two pillars of rock to emerge from the ground and break off before attempting to collapse them down on the monster.

The finishing touch came in the form of Junior working his hands around the air as if trying to form a sphere of sorts. The air contained in this spot was rapidly heating up. Junior waved his hands in this way until the air was so hot in the focal point that a literal ball of fire appeared. The ball was held before him to behold. Then he allowed it to drop toward the ground. It met his foot before getting the chance to touch ground. If it was to touch anything it should be the monster. He launched with a sharp kick of the right foot; flawless soccer kick form in display. As the ball rocketed forth, he jumped back not wanting to be hit by any stray sparks from the impact of the ball and its following combustion.

Then he simply bent his knees, claw-formed his hands and positioned them; Right hand vertical in front of face, left hand horizontal over torso. Tiger Claw form. For the time being he could not sense any other life forms around. Perhaps he caught this monster before he could get started. His brows still quivered, nervous as his mind still recalled what he was up against with this particular foe.

As Cold walked along a path near Mortoseth’s famous mushroom farms, he found that he was pleased with his decision to identify himself to the masses. They treated him with the sort of reverence that one only found in the oppressed masses of a subjugated world. Thus far he had managed to avoid making an example of those who annoyed him. There had really only been one outstanding person in that category; a chef in the head of the local government’s house who had been fired by said head of government as soon as Cold’s distaste was made known. The King still wasn’t sure if letting the fool live was the best idea. The masses might begin to think him weak and able to be deposed if he allowed them to stop fearing him.

Cold turned to Sierra, who was walking half a pace behind him. He was about to request that his paramour return to the royal guest apartments and wait for him when something hard and cold collided with his cheek and sent his entire eight foot tall frame skidding and bouncing along the path towards the stand of trees that ringed the nearest mushroom farm. Irritated to his immense core, Cold stood up and removed his cloak, dropping the sodden garment into the mud and glaring at his attacker.

Junior.

The human warrior jumped onto what looked like a yellow cloud before zooming at the Changeling King and springing feet first towards Cold’s broad chest. With the trademark sneer crossing his face, Cold turned his body side-ways to narrow his profile before attempting to seize the boy’s ankle. The counter utilised the boy’s momentum as Cold aimed to swing the boy over his head and face-first into the ground behind him. At the culmination of his attack, Cold released his grip on the boy’s ankle and moved away to the stand of trees.

“Pilot!” he barked, not wanting any connection with her to be apparent, “return to the ship and record this bout. I want to show the people of planet Earth what happens when their heroes trifle with the PTO.”

In the meantime, Junior was on his feet again and was concentrating heavily in order to tear out what appeared to be two monolithic pieces of the planet’s crust. The stone soldiers towered above even the behemoth Lord Cold under the power of the human youth’s mind.

Nice trick.

At the youth’s command, the towers collapsed down upon the Lord of the PTO, surely crushing him to death. Except that Cold was almost a thousand years old and wasn’t going to be undone by some stupid parlour trick. The real King of Cruel was standing some twenty metres away watching as his afterimage was obliterated by the pillars.

For his part, it appeared as though the teenage pain in the ass was unperturbed as he formed a fireball in his hands before kicking it in the King’s direction. Much to the chagrin of the target, his scouter picked up no qi reading from the ball and Cold found himself wondering how the hell Junior had managed to do it. Irrespective of how the kid accomplished the feat, Cold had no desire to get hit by the flaming ball of death and made a snap decision that he wasn’t sure would work. Crouching as the ball grew ever closer, Cold’s shovel-sized hands scooped up two large chunks of the cold, gloopy mud. He straightened and put the two chunks together in preparation for his defence. Then, as the fireball was about to hit him, the King projected the entire mass of disgusting, squelchy filth at the fireball. Not wanting to be in proximity when the two collided, Cold dashed backwards until he was in the shade of the grove of trees.

The King was no scientist, but he expected one of two things to happen when the two masses collided. Either the mud would harden and arrest the movement of the fireball or the fireball would superheat the water and the entire mass would explode. As it happened, it was the latter and Cold had to step behind the tree to avoid being further showered by globs of mud. Largely unscathed except for the icy kiss of the first attack that the youth made, Cold was wearing a grin of arrogant enjoyment when he reappeared from behind the tree.

“Didn’t I kill you already?”

Even as Cold was speaking, he was removing the training amplifier from his belt and strapping the magic staff in its place. Junior was no slouch when it came to martial arts and using a training assistant wouldn’t do the king any good in the destroying irritating humans department. And speaking of destroying irritating humans, Cold seized a grenade from his belt and flicked it at the human before dashing along in its wake and forming a buzzing disc of energy en route. He feinted with a lunge at Junior before throwing the homing disc and springing into the air. The momentum of the dash carried the King beyond the human and out of his eye line. When Cold landed, there were two of him and both sprang to keep up the attack on the human irritation. While the illusion tried to stab Junior in the midsection, Cold threw a qi-enhanced punch at the middle of the teenager’s face.

Junior had two things he could say people knew about him. Number one: He was intuitive. The boy had an eye for detail and a mind for speculation upon many platforms. Two he was quick to act. When hesitation didn’t hold him back, the boy could snap to action with ample ability and a mind determined to get the job done. If god was willing, both would see him through this safely. He had too many reasons to return safely from this and there wasn’t enough time to cultivate a list at the present moment. Junior never felt his heart beat this fast before as he approached Cold on his cloud. It wasn’t fatigue. It was pure anxiety. His mind was fresh with memories of the last time. Now he had been presented with a chance to redeem himself and recover what he had lost that day. The wheels turned hard to put Junior in the frame of mind he would be in when he was trying to piece a crime together and catch the perp. He couldn’t afford to miss one detail.

This triggered a series of logic that he processed quickly. Despite catching Cold off guard with that punch he had to take note of the time between his moment of departure and moment of arrival upon the target. There was ample time for recovery despite the speed of approach and when Junior flipped off his nimbus cloud he had a moment of intuition that filled in the blanks for him. The possibility of retaliation held true as he caught sight of Cold’s body budging while the world was spinning during his somersault. He extended his legs for the double drop kick but then he sharply forced his upper body to curve forward, eyes locking with those of the devil for a blink before he had gone into the spinning top motion and hitting his skid with both feet. In spectacular reflex display he narrowly avoided having his legs grabbed. Now time skip, because what happened next was already apparent.

Quote:

He felt no impact from the back fist.  Junior'd been dodged.  He couldn't say he was surprised though.  That back fist was a test strike.  Most likely, Cold had been able to follow it with ease.

Another moment of that last battle flashed in his head as the monster was on the move. Evasive, quick, deadly! Junior was a fool to think this would be anything other than an uphill battle. Junior’s eyes glared through the flying mud that fell just out of his reach. He held his stance. Watch him! Junior’s passing thought. It came from the voice of instinct. Don’t move rashly. He had to remember what came of it all the last time. He had to use it as insight for the struggle ahead. His knees wanted to shake. But he wouldn’t allow it. Fear would not cave him in this crucial moment. Instead it should fuel him. Junior stared practically through the arrogant monster’s grin, almost sneering as he laid eyes upon it. The environment was not as it seemed either. As day light cast itself over the land, Junior realized he was near some kind of agricultural site. Like the village on Namek in the fight with Vier, this place was in danger of destruction based on the actions of himself and this monster. He most likely had no remorse for any turmoil that could turn up here. Junior highly differed. As his glare intensified, he attempted to connect with the nearby people of this land.

Clear out! Get as far from here as you can! Take nothing with you…! Go now!

Junior could only promise to do his best to preserve this place as best as possible. On top of that he’d make the effort to restore anything lost if at all possible. As long as lives could be saved, anything else was forgivable. He felt some relief when he could hear background sounds of people trying to get themselves and others away. To think Junior had t his much influence. Or perhaps someone had paid witness to the opening events just now. His mind was so focused on Cold earlier he did not even realize his environment. Thankfully, he was better aware now. Good timing because Cold was ready, removing his added attachments to resume. Junior knew he would go on the attack soon. But his posture was upright so Junior was not getting more than one possibility in his mind: a straight forward dash.

“Didn’t I kill you already?”

“Teme!!! Ore wa sukoa o kaiketsu suru!” Junior growled out.

Cold was off in a blitz of retaliation. Junior held his position as his eyes paid attention to the hand going for the belt strap. The monster snatched something and hurled it straight for Junior. It hit the ground triggering another memory in Junior’s mind.

Quote:

Suddenly the adversary’s view switched from him to Gosai altogether and Junior’s other brow peaked as well.  His mouth opened, displaying his sudden surprise.  Junior turned his head in Gosai’s direction shouting.

Gosai-kun! Ki wo tsukero!!

Too late! The item was chucked and a strange pulsation emitted from the detonation that came after it.

As the green colored pulsing energy reached him so soon would Cold. The grenade was a genuine distraction for the sole purpose of leaving him less reaction time. But it was enough for Junior to toss himself into a spinning jump straight upward, having seen the dangerous technique that was lobbed at him. Jumping straight up put him in an interception path with Cold. He used it to his advantage by thrusting his fist upward in hopes of wedging his fist solidly into the torso, stopping his spin at the point of fully having his fist fully extended upward. His little jump was enough to get the disc moving past him so he could safely land upon the ground. Whatever offense he was interested in following up with was going to require more effort if he wanted it now…or so he hoped. Junior touched ground and turned himself only to find himself faced with two of the same adversary. He’d done this before, only three of them the last time. But only sensing energy from one of them, it meant the other was some kind of illusion.

Neither of them gave him a chance to really look into the matter. Both sprang in an instant. But in doing so, Junior was given an opportunity. Knowing full well the monster would do his best to close distance, Junior put on a display of speed and coordination. He threw himself backwards into a series of back flips. One, two, three, four! On the fifth he sprang up into the air where was joined up again by the flying nimbus, tuned into Junior’s thoughts. In an upward ark, Junior soared over the tyrant’s position. He upside down on the flying cloud as he did, eyes on the enemy and his double. He sprang off the cloud landing on the ground facing their posterior. Junior thrust his left hand upward, applying his mental kinetics again. A solid turf platform about 20 meters wide was ripped out of the ground. His other hand had a grenade of his own. Junior lowered the pitch of his voice as he glared at his enemy.

“Oi, purezento da!”

The first thing he did was lob the grenade at the monster, first pulling the release trigger off with his teeth. Pleased with the detonation of the little orb, Junior then focused upon the rock platform, which he sent flying after him next in hopes of revealing which of the two was merely an illusion. He managed to act just before electrical green sparks began to start dancing around Junior’s body causing his body to constrict. Junior grimaced, knowing it was the effect of the grenade launched at him. Unlike the time he witnessed it used on Gosai, there was no sign of aide to cover him in the moment of weakness.

The icy kiss of Junior’s first strike had long since faded to nothing, but Cold found himself wondering what sort of sorcery had been involved. Ice should have had no bearing on a Frost Demon, yet the Changeling King felt as though he had dodged a bullet. It was a curious sensation indeed and one that was repeated when his go to move was somehow avoided. What was worse was that the same curious sensation accompanied the impact of the boy’s fist against the broad, rippling chest of the strongest changeling. This human boy was a slippery little gnat and had gotten a lot faster since Cold took him apart last time.

While he was taking refuge on his irritating yellow cloud, Cold wondered if it was possible to kill such a thing. It appeared to have some sort of intelligence, which suggested that it could be. The thoughts of murderous intent were sadly cut short by the appearance of Junior’s own personal grenade, which appeared to do exactly squat to Cold as it burst at the ground between him and his illusion. When the clod of dirt and grass came falling down, the King knew that his trick was fooling no one and cursed the long-dead Saiyan for learning such a worthless move in the first place. Were Muten Roshi not immortal, Cold would have sworn bloody vengeance on him then and there.

The King of All Changelings shimmered into almost nothingness, his body no more than a blur to the most powerful of the few brave bystanders who wanted to see the hated Lord Cold be taught a lesson by a human pipsqueak. Using every ounce of effort available to him at this juncture, Cold shifted to the right in order to narrowly avoid the dirt as it slammed down upon the hapless illusion, which flickered and died with Cold’s lack of interest in maintaining it. Growling in spite of the fact that he was still of a superior race, Cold found himself growing frustrated with the slippery antics of the irritating sub-sentient.

“Dodge this,” he muttered with a snarl, springing into the air using just the immense strength of his tree-trunk sized thighs to close the gap between the two. When the gap was closed sufficiently, the King muttered the magic word to make his power pole extend and thrust the weapon directly at the irritation’s solar plexus. Even as the paramecium was dealing with the shock of the staff attack, Cold was charging energy in his fingertips. Once the attack was sufficiently deadly, the King released it on its way. The atomic blast moved at a blistering pace, bathing the ground around His Exalted Highness in a mauve-coloured light. It too was aimed directly at the centre of the human’s chest and with any luck those standing behind the irritation would have just as good a view as those in front as it burrowed through his chest and out the other side.

All this happened in a fraction of a moment and it was at this point that the King hit the ground with a thud. All around him the air began to swirl, its particles excited by the charging of energy within the King. His aura began to glow with lavender and mauve light as the qi rolled off him in waves. Those who were keeping an eye of the battle leaned closer, for things were about to get interesting. Lord Cold had powered up.

For his part, Cold was interested to see how Junior dealt with his staff. The boy carried no weapon of his own and it was important that he be made to see the error of his ways before the King ground his face into the dirt in front of the hopeless denizens of Mortoseth. The attack itself was quite simple. Cold spun the weapon with a flourish before stopping the spin and thrusting the end of the staff at Junior’s chin at the same time.

Junior could happily rest upon exposing Cold’s real form if not for the fact of the constriction placed upon his body. He had the stasis grenade to thank for that. It was a most inopportune time. Cold took advantage of Junior’s moment of immobility closing the distance between them with a simple leap. The horrifying creature placed an all-too-familiar weapon at point blank range and uttered the words, “Power Pole Extend!” at the same time as Junior spat through his teeth, “Son’na!!” Then it happened. The blunt edge of the staff projected itself right into his solar plexus region, painfully forcing Junior back, the sound of his agony hailing across the air. His face was pale trying desperately to regain enough mobility to do more than prevent the pole from impaling him. It promptly imprinted his body against the side of a nearby house before it ceased extension.

Junior could only be so lucky to have experienced just this. The wall caved enough that Junior was able to get free of the pole. It was the first time it had been used against him. Somehow he missed the one he bestowed upon Daisuke, now. Pulling free put him directly in the house where he sensed nobody present. But there was no time to do any sort of searching around. A glaring light presented itself; sourced from a dangerous approaching energy. Junior’s eyes witnessed its speedy approach. HIs mind assessed his level of danger and his body took a course of action.

Gomen’ne... he thought as he shut his eyes.

VRUSH! Junior plowed right through the roof off the house with single jump. That hard head of his saw him through the concrete or whatever it was made of. As he gained altitude he witnessed the energy crash right into the house below him. His eyes widened and a gasp exasperating through his lips. That home was obliterated without any resistance at all. It wasn’t right! A scowl of frustration appeared on him as he began to take the blame all his own. That house should never have been touched. He should have stood in the way of the attack and protected it! Junior’s feet landed upon faithful nimbus once more, having mentally called it in to catch him from falling. A rush of smoke was rising into the air and nimbus moved Junior forward so he could survey the damage for himself. Someone had just been made homeless. Junior found a little comfort in the fact nobody was present inside. He sighed. Then he was jolted back to attention the of the source problem. Cold.

His energy was rising. Junior looked over and could see him, body illuminating. Electricity coursing around him. Junior’s brows quivered, remembering the last time this fiend called upon his latent power. Junior approached his foe from the sky just a couple of feet before lowering himself to the ground enough for a jump to place him safely down. Junior stared into the eyes of the devil once again. He was just about ready. Junior took a slight glance around. To his observance the remaining homes were all behind him. There was the presence of those who had decided merely to get some distance instead of completely evacuate. It pieced together quickly. Junior was this monster’s example. By fighting here, he intended to reinforce his element of fear instilled in these innocent people. It...wasn’t...right! Junior’s fists tightened as he stood upright, eyes on the monster in question. His anger presented itself in a cold glare that would send icy chills up the spine of a normal man.

This didn’t seem to have any effect on the monster. His power pole had been retracted. Since it hadn’t been put away, Junior assessed it would be put to use again. A rush of wind tossed his hair a little. But Junior stayed still. Cold on the other hand took to the offensive once more twirling the staff about in his had in his speedy approach. Then he thrust the staff forward. Junior’s eyes narrowed just before he felt the sting of the attack square on his chin. His head snapped back and he felt his body be forced back. Skid marks were present on the ground showing he kept his feet planted. He’d skidded back maybe two feet just then. His face trembled as he had his eyes closed. A moment of silence as a rush of wind pushed between them. Then Junior’s mouth proceeded to move.

“Ore no batsu da...,” he started with a low whisper.

Then he lifted his head back to normal position and looked into the eyes of his attacker, hair now completely dangly over his left eye. His right eye showed cold anger, his lips scrunched into a scowl. Then his lips finished the sentence coldly and slowly with a growl present in his voice.

“Jushin shimasita...” - My punishment has been received!

Junior took note of signs of the grenade he tossed starting to show some kind of effect. He allowed the blow to his chin as punishment for allowing that home to be destroyed. Now he aimed to punish the monster for destroying it in the first place. With an outward thrust of his arms, the boy turned two arms into eight. Cold anger on his face turned into outrage. He was interested only one thing; lashing out! Junior pushed past the power pole ducking low trying to get past the full extension of Cold’s deadly arms, then up right again with a vicious right hook aimed at the groin region. His left fist, quickly followed quickly attempting batter against the torso region. Junior threw swings, wild enraged swings again and again; right punch, left punch, right punch, left punch! The general pattern as he attempted to batter and bruise the monster’s midsection. Each fist aimed to deliver a message upon connection. Feel it! Detest it! Regret the actions of your past. Understand the feelings of those that suffered at your hands. Hope for forgiveness! Doubt your way of life! Pray for mercy! Pray for change!

Junior let his anger flow through him as he remembered the danger this heartless fiend laid upon him in his friends in Crashtown. Intensifying in the form of tears and the “DA, DA, DA, DA!” he screamed with each punch he sent flying; left, right, left! Same pattern hopefully driving the monster back every swing. Away from these homes, these farms that did nothing but provide for the people; as well as the people who worked for the harvest and lived for peace. He wished those of innocence viewing this struggle would begin to feel signs of hope for better. Those of evil, he hoped would fear the consequences of their past deeds and take this chance now to change their ways. Or he would come for them too with the hand of punishment. Junior provided himself a mental count, 16 strikes that ended with the projection of his right fist. Junior rage drove itself further as he took a crouch, then lunged his left elbow diagonally upward for Cold’s chest cavity in hopes of keeling him forward. Sharply ripping himself into a spin he had his right fist swing right fist lunch straight for the cheek bone. Feet touched the ground, he crouched and turned his right side. He left his same right fist come slashing upward attempting cut itself over his chest and continue traveling right up to the devil’s neck; a fierce uppercut for the finishing touch of the attack.

Into a backflip he went from there, allowing his feet to slide in position once more. He was panting from the sheer intensity of his anger. As his memories flashed with images of the unconscious Shaira and Lex he had died protecting that day. To think Cold had actually tried to harm them at one point in the battle. Unforgivable. Junior’s palms went face up at his side as he focus his power. His feet sunk into the ground about two inches just then. He flashed his gritting teeth as he focused purely on Cold. Junior let his rage intensify the energy he was focusing until finally he pressed two fingers to his head and shut his eyes. His voice roaring.

TAAAAAAAIIIIIIIII...YOOOOKKEEEEEEEEENNNNNN!!!!

His body became shaded in black, an energy of white outlining his body. Then it beaconed. A blanket of whiteness, cast by light equivalent to a dozen suns washed over the area. Junior’s body vanished within but his roaring voice was still present as he screamed out with the attack itself. With any luck the monster would be caught without his eyes and still be staggered by the vengeful strikes that came before it, now this. Junior continued his retaliation, looking as if he were going to sprint. But then his body vanished as nothing more than a trace of wind and a blur. He became visible again to the monster’s behind, his feet off the ground, left leg swinging toward his back. His left hand supported him on the ground as he attempted to deliver the strike before rolling to the side, and doing a single back flip. Junior landed into a crouch and had his back turned to the monster as he uttered, “Bakuhatsu suru!”

A rush of wind and dust pushed at his back as an explosion occurred hopefully damaging to the target in question. Up went his hands once more taking a piece of the ground in front of him, a decent chunk of the ground once more, making sure not to pull up any of the farm land itself. He stood up, sharply spun around, took aim and threw the piece of rock at his target before he took four steps back and kept his eyes focused and senses tuned for his enemy’s movements.

It was with no small amount of satisfaction that Cold felt the vibrations through the pole as Junior destroyed the side of the house. A brilliant tactician, the King knew that such a thing would drive the would-be hero to distraction and it was that distraction that he was counting on. The follow-up energy attack obliterated the house and did substantial damage to those around it, but it was with decidedly less satisfaction that Cold observed Junior emerge unscathed. Nevertheless, the plucky youngster would blame himself for that too.

The elation that Cold was feeling as a result of his success was short-lived. He wasn’t sure if the grenade was exerting a delayed effect or if the icy kiss of the whelp’s gloves had finally done something useful, but the backstory didn’t much matter at this point. All that mattered was that Cold couldn’t move a muscle. In spite of his situation, laughter burbled out of the King’s lips and sounded more horrifying than it should have because of his current muscle spasticity. Grunts of air being released accompanied each strike, but with no muscle control the King couldn’t cry out or wince as each blow hammered home. One single strike caused a negligible and easily forgettable amount of pain, but dozens in the same place sent fire through the King’s ribs. The final strike left the King lying on his back, at which point he could finally move again.

“You aren’t the brightest human ever made, are you?” asked Cold, the laughter returning in spite of the flames of pain licking at his ribs and neck, “my species descends from the lizardfolk … there’s nothing here.”

To illustrate his point, Cold rubbed his hand across his perfectly smooth groin area. It was a source of great discomfort for a human to be struck there, but a lizardfolk’s genitals were safe beneath his leathery skin and safe from such human tactics. In spite of the lack of discomfort, Cold resolved to administer a dick punch of his own so that he could enjoy the spasms of pain that would rocket through the human’s body afterwards.

When Junior assumed a familiar fighting stance, Cold once more cursed the shitty job that the Saiyan had done with retrofitting this scouter with an eye shield. There was little to do in this case except cross his arms in front of his face and kiss his vision goodbye until it cleared. This solar flare was more powerful than most and the King’s arms were smoking when he removed them from his face. Not that he could see the smoke; he could feel the temperature differential against his reptilian skin.

“Oh no,” mocked Cold, running around as though he was panicking, “I’m blind, I’m blind; what have you done to my beautiful eyes?”

The rest was lost to another great shout of laughter that boomed from the massive chest of the monster.

“I can still see you, boy,” he said, glaring at the human with sightless eyes.

Junior blurred into insignificance at this point and in spite of the fact that Cold’s extra senses allowed him to see the boy, he was far too reliant upon his eyes for such a strategy to work well in the long term. A kick impacted against his back and an explosion followed soon after, sending the King into a tumble. In order to come out of the tumble, Cold tucked his legs in and sprang to his feet once his orientation was appropriate to do so. As he landed in a fighting stance, his senses alerted him to the fact that Junior was calling upon his mind-powers again.

Unfortunately, Cold’s senses couldn’t divine the location of the rock and his scouter didn’t care that a great hunk of the planet was flying at him. There were only two options and both of them involved the rock hitting him. The second seemed like a much better option and thus Cold sunk into his forbelean stance. It was a pose with a low centre of gravity that allowed the King’s vital centres to be protected in the event of an attack. The best part about this was that it never failed to stop such an attack. As soon as he felt the impact of the rock, Cold erupted from the stance and shattered the rock into dust that filled the air around him and completely obscured him from view. If he had to be blind then why the hell shouldn’t his opponent be?

While he was obscured by the cloud, Cold drew his arm back as though he was preparing to pitch a baseball. A green orb of qi appeared, reflecting off the dust particles directly around it but barely visible to even Cold himself. Once it was sufficiently powerful enough, Cold let it fly. The orb immediately split into three smaller discs that dissipated the dust around them and emerged from the cloud at three different angles. By the time they got to the now very visible Junior, Cold’s eyes were working again and he watched for the outcome of his attack with baited breath.

As soon as the middle disc was close enough to the boy’s face to obscure his vision, Cold dashed along in its wake in order to attack with the katana that had just found his hand as he stowed the power pole once more. The matte black, balerion steel blade reflected no light and would cut through just about anything if it was given the chance. In this case, Cold was aiming to open up the irritating little sod from his right should to his left hip in order to spill his guts and ribcage out onto the mud.

All right, first thing's first. Once again, Junior's critical is effective. (twice) So KC will lose two actions for his next turn.

I'm also going to rule that Resilience does not block a telekinesis attack. Resilience blocks physical combos.

Now for the RP bonus.

KC: I'm impressed. You've come a long way since you're days as Eski. There's still room for improvement, but I was still pleasantly surprised nonetheless. Unfortunately, it was not enough to override Junior's rp.

So with that, I'll be awarding Junior with the RP bonus. Add 10% to your stats and if the battle lasts another three turns, I'll regrade this as necessary.

Junior could feel the transfer of his anger to his enemy with every blow he connected with. Perhaps finally he could resolve his doubt and become the person his family loved again. As the effects of the solar flare began to wear off, Junior knew that Cold would be preparing more to try and devastate him with. Junior needed to stay focus and realize his fight was somewhat efficient. But all he could think about was the enemy and how danger he proved himself to be last time. The past fight was really driving most of his actions. Junior couldn’t say he knew this man inside and out. But his cold murderous attitude, the shrill enjoyment he got out of oppressing those that could not fight; he was well aware of these feelings. Many others like him existed. When crushed beneath the sheer power of these people, the helpless cried out the loudest. Even if it couldn’t be heard, a look in their eyes was all that was needed to feel their pain. He couldn’t stand such pain!

Junior sat in the heart of a planet full of people feeling this pain. Their pain was his power, somehow. As he silently promised that their cries would be answered, Junior shifted his position a little bit. He wanted to be sure he had utmost balance. Whenever Cold moved, Junior should be moving or preparing to move. With the sense of Cold’s energy surging it was almost a certainty his next attack was coming. Junior’s arms started to tremble, his mind wondering what was coming next. As the monster gathered his precious energy, Junior’s eyes frantically shifted around, formulating his plan A should he need to try to make some distance. As the enemy drew closer to finish of his preparation, the boy soon came to grips of how much energy he had focused. There was sheer destructive power that could cause more destruction to this undeserving village. Junior had one of those strange jolts to the brain, the kind one got when coming to an idea. His eyes narrowed again.

The environment itself disappeared. Blackness! In it were only two people; himself and the dust-shrouded Cold. Junior had to tune everything else out to get this right, and hope for the best. Once the energy was finished being gathered, Junior took a wild guess at how soon it would be put to use. Suddenly the cloud dissipated as some strange green orb came bursting through as if shot out of a cannon. The energy had been put to use immediately. Junior had almost allowed himself to think it would be as straight forward as it appeared. Two other orbs were on the move as well, coming at him from different angles. Wait! They weren’t orbs! They were energy discs. No time to do anything complicated. His arms were thrown out and he closed his eyes focusing his body. The speedy attack would crash into him soon. He felt a surge through his body and opened his eyes. An ominous white glow was present in them as the attack smacked into his body from the front and two sides, giving the impression of a direct hit at first. But then his body had green surrounding it. He almost looked radioactive.

Growing from the bowels of his vocals was an intense roar that went from subtle to mid pitch as he focused on the power currently threatening his well-being. His palms were wide open and trembling as he tried to hold his form. His face looked intense. His head could explode and no one would be surprised. The glow in Junior’s eyes reached a boiling point and suddenly his palms became closed fists. Junior withdrew his arms sharp, holding the fists at chest level before letting out a vicious, “HAAAH!!!!” The energy around him flickered and flashed first. His body seemed to ignite in a blaze of fire. Now he was there, center of the inferno glaring at his opponent. He seemed to be struggling with it at first. The foreign energy was still settling but it was no longer a threat, now surrounding him as burning flames. But as soon as this attack had been dispersed with, his situation became dire with the presence of Cold towering in front of him with a sword drawn.

“NANI!!!” he shrieked as the blade came swinging from the side at his midsection.

It was a critical moment in time as his body seemed destined to taste the cold blood thirsty blade of his attacker. The blade sure enough managed to make its full swing, guided by the hands of Cold. The monster would then get to see Junior’s body upright, face frozen with fear. It seemed like a clean swing. Suddenly, his body began to fizzle, like a clear TV image slowly becoming distorted. Then slowly it faded away before his very eyes. An after image! Cold’s sword swing passed through an image of Junior. There was the sudden noise of a plop and Junior’s grunting off to the left. Junior appeared there hitting the ground with a drop and roll where he appeared to be on his back. He was panting as one would, having just escaped a brush with death itself. He could not forget the dangers of sword play. Responsible for some of Junior’s special bio make-up, Junior had come to detest enemies who made sword play a big part of their battle strategy.

He stood up again and whipped himself about to face his adversary once more. His body still had burning flames surrounding it. Cold looked like he might be having trouble moving after that attack. Or perhaps he was still feeling the solar flare from earlier. Either explanation did not seem relevant to him at the time. Instead he took the chance to try and deal some punishment for the sword swing. It seemed to have worked before. There was no harm in trying again. Producing his arms as eight once more, Junior made the vicious dash to his opponent hoping for a repeat of his last angry performance. Their difference in high made it easier for Junior to simply stick to the mid section with his enraged fiery swings. This time the boy erupted on his target with a different combination of quick blows. They were contained, controlled and sharp instead of wild and angry like last time. He threw the shots at the torso once more trying his best to maintain a visual of Cold’s body in case of retaliating reaction. Right hook, right hook, right hook, left straight! Then he alternated left hook, right hook, left hook before finishing with a right jab to the center of his torso.

Junior went and did three back flips for some breathing room. He had his feet planted, upper body angled and eyes on Cold. His body began to illuminate as he put focus on it. This was going to drag on for some time. It became clear to Junior at this point. If he was to truly defeat this foe, he was going to have to do it with his best. The boy’s body became engulfed in yellow to the point it was all that could be seen at first. Then his body appeared as rippling shadow in the midst, glaring glowing eyes bearing down on his foe. This time he spoke to be understood.

“It is not the same as last time, monster. I will not permit your evil on this world or any other. Welcome to your defeat! I am your host. Sometimes, the focused martial artist, Kung Fu Junior! However my true form…Doragon Chi!!”

The yellowish energy expanded and flickered, burning wildly. Then this energy seemed to be drawn into Junior himself until he became visible again; his appearance now a sleeveless brown Jacket over a white t-shirt, lightweight brown pants and the silent shoes. He pointed at the adversary, making his final declaration.

"Team Satisfaction Leader, Hiiragi Junior! You will change your evil ways or be destroyed!"

Intro finished, Junior came out of stance, his right hand extended outward, projecting his mind. Several chunks of rock elevated themselves over the ground in such a way they were like stepping stones for skipping, each one of a foot higher than the other. Sharp coordination and speed took Junior racing over these floating stones toward his enemy until he reached the last one. From there he jumped into the air, doing a 180 as he flipped upside down. Right hand projected at Cold from the air with his left hand grabbing the wrist. He commanded a shifting force project sharply onto Cold. It produced itself as a sudden rush of flames at his back while Junior completed his jump four feet away. Junior’s next attack was something of a bold one. He sprang from the ground at Cold, betting it big time on this one. He curled himself into a ball and went spinning at him. It was a move he figured only Gosai would be crazy enough to attempt; Flying Human Cannon Ball!

The hands of the King clenched involuntarily into fists as his attack fed the power of his opponent and allowed him to create a shield made entirely of flames. With the accursed gloves of the whelp making Cold feel sluggish and unwell and the solar flare still exerting its effects over his inner ear, it was safe to say that the Lord of the Changelings had seen better days and had more successful encounters. After this latest spell of dizziness, Cold found himself on his back once more, the pains in his body having intensified during the episode. If this was Arctica’s doing, the physician would find herself without a head.

It is not the same as last time, monster. I will not permit your evil on this world or any other. Welcome to your defeat! I am your host. Sometimes, the focused martial artist, Kung Fu Junior! However my true form…Doragon Chi!!
“I rule this world, whelp,” replied Cold, his voice a deathly whisper, “what you are doing is committing treason.”

As the waves of qi energy washed over him, Cold began to get the idea that his situation was becoming untenable. This Junior Hiiragi had become much more powerful during his time in the Dead Zone and if something drastic didn’t change, the outcome would be very different to the last time the two had fought.

Team Satisfaction Leader, Hiiragi Junior! You will change your evil ways or be destroyed!
“You, Hiiragi-Junior-Sir!, are a racist as well as a dissident,” replied Cold, “I am the King of the PTO. My culture is one of strength above all else. My ‘evil ways’ as you put it are simply strength in my culture. I am stronger than all others of my kind, so I am rewarded with rule over all others of my kind. Perhaps I will visit Earth and dismantle your precious democracy, since it doesn’t sit with my political views.”

Apparently Cold hit a nerve, for moments later Junior disappeared. Aside from what looked like a blur out the corner of his eye, Cold couldn’t see the irritating bigot. He did see the flames though, having turned to regard what he thought was Junior but turned out to be a rock. They came at him so fast and Cold could do little but scream with equal parts fury and terror and hope that his brain managed to come up with the kiai that he needed to save himself from the flames.

As it happened, his brain still functioned sufficiently for that to happen.

It was then that Captain Hiiragi of Team Racist did something that was completely out of character. He curled up into a ball and shot at Cold as fast as he could. But then Cold’s surprise turned to pleasure and his trademark smirked once again crept its way across his battle-damaged features. Junior’s spinning cannonball meant that he had to take his eyes off the former Cosmic Emperor. In the blink of an eye, the katana was back in its home and Cold’s favoured weapon was in his hand once more. He extended the butt of the weapon into the ground and launched himself into the air. As soon as he was above Junior’s projected path, Cold retracted the weapon and stabbed it like a spear at the back of his hated opponent’s neck.

“I suppose since you showed me yours,”, Cold began, standing with an expression of indifference on his face in spite of the multitude of wounds on his body, “and considering the fact that I’m not a racist usurper or a rude scumbag, I should show you my true form.”

Without waiting for an answer from the smirking sneak thief, Cold concentrated upon the power that lay dormant and restrained at his core. His species used these transformations in order to survive and now he was casting off the shackles of restrained in the hope of doing that same thing. As the power began to emerge, cracks of white light seemed to appear all over the shell that was Cold’s most restrained form. Like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, Cold’s true form emerged from his restrained form in an explosion of light that was all flash and no substance. His power level had increased tremendously, but was still not high enough to rival his opponent’s. But it would have to be enough.

The duo was approximately the same size now, able to stare eye to eye and the King was doing just that as he walked towards his foe. He was much calmer in this form than he ever had to be before. As he walked, Cold’s eyes glowed red with power, a vestige of the Frost Demon side of his evolutionary line. His hand strayed towards the hilt of the katana, but still he did not draw the weapon. Time around the two seemed to slow as the King of Cruel slowly walked towards the enemy.

When he stood perhaps five feet away, Cold ceased his walk but his hand still rested on the hilt of his katana.

“You have come to Mortoseth and attempted to commit regicide. Such a crime does not go unpunished in the Planet Trade Organisation. Do you have any last requests before I carry out your sentence?”

Cold paused for a moment to allow his foe to speak, his entire body fading to a pale blue colour as he stood completely motionless. If these were to be his last moments, Junior might never know how the King defeated him. But in the end, it was all very simple. Cold’s offer of last requests was a ruse designed to split the boy’s focus. At the last moment, he had used the afterimage technique to hide the fact that he had raised a single finger in order to fire a Death Ray at the centre of his foe’s chest from point blank range.

A change was gradually washing over Junior. Amidst the will to fight, Junior was steadily becoming what he used to be. Confident, well-focused, nearly unflinching, happy! The belief that he could protect those around him was returning. Junior couldn’t have been happier to have it back. It seemed like ages since he felt this way. Enemies of his recent past seemed capable of stealing these feelings from him. They certainly had for a time. But staring in the face of Cold, he understood that the circumstances were in his favor. Despite his strong self-doubt he’d made progress. Still he could not ignore the fearsome power that was contained in his opponent. To keep his advantage, he assumed this monster to constantly have a trick up his sleeve not already accounted for. A detective had to have an eye that never missed detail. That didn’t mean he always did.

Junior knew his cannon ball would force a move out of Cold. But since Junior hadn’t taken the time to run possible scenarios before doing it, he was leaving himself to be taken advantage of. Junior felt his body forcibly be straightened out by sharp jab of what seemed to be the power pole against his neck. He hit the dirt sliding. His body bounced into a roll before he sprang up again and straightened himself out. He landed on the ground facing Cold and rubbing the back of his neck. Mistake #1. After watching Cold commit to attacks of great risk, Junior making one of his own seemed foolish. But the outcome of the situation found its way into his memory bank and thus sat comfortably there for next time. Cold was now in a posture of his own.

“I suppose since you showed me yours, and considering the fact that I’m not a racist usurper or a rude scumbag, I should show you my true form.”

Junior didn’t know whether to take offense or to find it absurd that this monster had just called him racist of all things. He contemplated on relaying the actual definition of the word since Junior harbored no actual hate for his foe’s genetic make-up; simply his actions. However, the idea of doing so was a complete waste as Cold started focusing his energy. Junior raised a brow as he noticed white cracks of light appearing upon Cold’s entire body. The power he was drawing out was causing his body to change. Junior’s brows quivered and blackness replaced the surrounding area; merely symbolism in terms of his own focus upon the opponent. Cold had changed form in their last bought before laying a merciless assault upon him and his friends last time.

Quote:

An eerie silence swept over the battlefield as the smoke and dust in the area began to clear.  Slowly the Human body that Cold had possessed started to become visible. The vessel appeared to be just laying there, slumped over on the ground. Its head was twisted around to the side and now facing the opposite direction it once was.  His jaw was broken in three separate pieces and part of his spine was hanging out the side of his neck, both wounds spewed blood out on to the ground. Even the Dragon ball had dropped to the ground.

A shaded object moved out from under the possessed Human and stretched across the ground, several feet away from its broken body.  The shadow like figure quickly formed together in a perfect circle on the ground before breaking apart in to three. Slowly Cold began to manifest in his real body in three separate places as he rose to his feet from the darkened obscurities. His former vessel then shriveled up like a prune before finally bursting in to a fine dust that dispersed itself easily amongst the light breeze. The Dragon ball still laid there motionless in whatever remnants that still remained of the possessed corpse.

The Changelings three toed feet griped tightly against the ground as their cloaks parted at the center in unison, shedding light on their dull silver shaded armor. Their arms then reached up for the hoods of their garments and pulled back to finally reveal their grotesque facial features to their opponent.  The three of them stood silent for a moment allowing the young man to bask in the view or their identical forms.

Was this really happening all over again? He feared it to be so. Suddenly, the wheels of Junior’s mind clued him into the obvious. This change was different from what Junior witnessed before. Cold hadn’t used a vessel this time. He was changing his very body. Junior prepared himself. Like last time, Cold had been holding back. Junior’s change forced the monster’s hand. But this was good. It meant that till now, Junior’s tactics were causing him difficulty. But Junior wondered what this change meant for him. Knowing it couldn’t be anything good, he ran the idea that this foe would do a drastic show of offense to showcase his true form’s power. He’d been struggling this far. It was the only thing that made sense. Junior looked away as light glared from Cold’s body as the final piece of his transformation. Junior could feel the sudden different in his power now as opposed to before. It was too noticeable for Junior to take lightly. So he planned for the immediate future, his body now starting radiate with a pure white energy. Cold was walking toward him now, the same as Junior had done the first time they met. His footsteps stopped only when they were about five feet apart. Junior’s eyes paid a momentary attention span to the creature’s deadly weapon.

“You have come to Mortoseth and attempted to commit regicide. Such a crime does not go unpunished in the Planet Trade Organization. Do you have any last requests before I carry out your sentence?”

Junior wanted to say it right then and there. But he couldn’t help but notice the change of color on his opponent’s body. Thus he could only suspect an attack coming moments from now. His fists tightened and his eyes narrowed, mind taking into account the beginning to current time of this entire confrontation. There was now a terrible energy brewing from the opponent’s body, too big for Junior to play with. Junior shut his eyes and felt his body shifting a great deal, a second and a half before he felt the sharp release of a dreadful power that had been gathered. Following the projection of the energy a momentary eerie silence took place. Then there was a dreadful explosion in the distance, almost nuclear; capable of wiping off the map anything that was contained within. Light from the explosion even reached their spot, tell tale to just how devastating it had been. A sharp noise would have their ears ringing for sure for a while. Then all became silent as nothing but a giant mushroom cloud could be seen in the distance. Whatever was in that area was surely non-existent now.

Junior seemed to have been taken out by the attack once eyes could gain visibility on Cold’s position once more. But the observation had only been allowed for several more moments at best. For now he reappeared several feet to the enemy’s blindside. Hands and knees on the ground, he seemed frozen. That devastating power was meant for him. It would have done the trick had he not moved. Junior should have been happy to escape death. However, he was only angered. The power beneath that attack was too much for Junior to have tried to redirect. So again, someone else suffered from this battle. Junior slowly rose to his feet. Once standing again, Junior’s cold angry eyes laid upon Cold once more. His feet were slid comfortably into position.

“I give you one last chance to change your ways and help me restore what you’ve just destroyed. Then, I will do whatever it takes to make you suffer for everything you’ve done. And so you know I mean business…”

Junior held something up in his right hand. A bag! It was a simple bag, containing four sensu beans. Junior was in possession of his own supply of sensu beans. This bag belonged to Cold himself.

Quote:

Junior’s body shifted and moved himself forward.  He placed himself only two steps behind his adversary at first.  In the process of recollecting his posture, Junior noticed something on his enemy’s body that he himself possessed.  A pouch.  There was only one thing that could be inside that small bag.  Junior realized then why the monster had no problem releasing such a terrible attack.  His quick hands reached for the bag and proceeded to relieve his opponent of its contents before jumping out of sight.

Junior dumped the beans into his own bag and tossed the empty one aside. Then he concealed his own bag away.

“Surely, that attack must have cost you a good deal of power. Wonder if you’ll do it again with these out of your possession. Now, I’ll proceed to punish you for the lives that may have just been lost now.”

Junior’s body began to radiate energy again. His turn now! Junior almost started when suddenly his brain pulsated. It was unsure why but he was reminded of the energy disk thrown at him earlier. It was a dangerous technique that he should not dismiss for the future. He committed his mind to making sure of it. For now it was his attack! Junior took a lighter from pocket. No, Junior was not a smoker. His father would beat the living hell out of him for picking up the habit and Shaira would disown him. Very bad things for him. With a flick up the thumb, Junior 'lit' the lighter. There was no flame but a strong hint of gas was present. Junior took the deepest breath he could muster focused some of his ki. With a forceful exhale, Junior exerted his breath through the emitting gas and, voila! A bursting stream of flames projected itself at his enemy. Figuring Cold would see this trick coming, Junior was plotting his intercept course. After finishing the attack it was follow up time.

He sprinted quickly, allowing his body to become fluid in motion, throwing himself into an angle as he closed distance. Sending his right fist swinging up, the boy attempted to launch the monster airborne with a furious right uppercut. Then his body became encased in flames once more. Making use of a powerful jump, Junior gave chase into the, his left leg ready. The goal was to catch up quickly. He threw the left leg at Cold attempting to catch his lower mid side. Then finished with a sharp leftward spin allowing his right hand to lead and hopefully catch Cold with a sharp backhand strike. Then the boy lost altitude. As he dropped out of the sky, the faithful Nimbus Cloud appeared out of the sky once more to catch him. This gift from the Twilight Prince was serving him well.

With its help Junior raced back to the ground hoping to land about the same time as Cold if not before him and close distance. His right hand rocketed forward again, eyes flashing red before another invisible rush of ki was produced. The force projected itself at Cold and Junior stopped his approach the moment the flames appeared. With focus on the distance before him, Junior used mental force to uproot a piece of the ground once more. He managed to bring up solid rock half the size of a house. A swing of the hand and the piece of the planet was hurling itself toward Cold from the front. Junior had commanded this thing travel in their direction opposite of the invisible ki in hopes of a double collision.

The shockwave from the failed attack tore at Cold’s flanks and threatened to launch him into the air, but all he knew was frustration at missing. Of course the irritating little brat had knowledge of the Instant Transmission technique. That particular gem was something that was still available to Cold, but as yet the human had been unwilling or unable to use anything that was of any great importance. Perhaps he didn’t have the capacity for such power; Cold couldn’t remember the last time they fought because his time in the Dead Zone had consumed much of what he was previously.

I give you one last chance to change your ways and help me restore what you’ve just destroyed. Then, I will do whatever it takes to make you suffer for everything you’ve done. And so you know I mean business…

Laughter burbled out of the King again. Hiiragi-Junior-Sir apparently wished to add theft to the list of crimes that he was compiling. Though were he to be honest with himself, Cold was probably a mass killer now and it was something that greatly annoyed him. The killing itself wasn’t a problem; changelings didn’t interact morally with such an act. What bothered Cold was the loss of workers and subjects. These people would take decades to replace and it was all because some human was getting ideas above his station.

“Spare me your self-righteous posturing. You invaded my planet. You attacked me from behind. You raised the stakes. You hate me because of what I am. You are a thief and you are responsible for what just happened to my people. Get off my planet and leave me to restore the damage that you are responsible for.”

Surely, that attack must have cost you a good deal of power. Wonder if you’ll do it again with these out of your possession. Now, I’ll proceed to punish you for the lives that may have just been lost now.

“You chose the field of battle. I will not allow you to assign blame for your own sins.”

Hiiragi didn’t respond straight away, instead making flames with his mouth the way younglings on Frieza did when they were torturing small animals. It was a pathetic attack that couldn’t have been more telegraphed. In response, Cold raised his power-pole and spun it so quickly that it was little more than a blur as it dissipated the blast of fire before it could do any damage. The realisation that the attack was a feint came far too late for the King to be able to do anything about the follow-up and his opponent showed canny use of ice and fire to do more damage than he otherwise might have.

As the boy’s eyes flashed again, Cold recognised the increase in power and assumed a posture reminiscent of a turtle retreating within its shell as he crouched behind the shield he had been given when he arrived. From his crouched position, Cold observed the chunk of rock come flying towards him. It was about half the size of the house that had been destroyed earlier, he noted with a sort of detached interest. With his legs coiled in defence against the invisible qi attack, Cold was prepared to spring into the air to avoid the rock. Or so he thought. The sluggishness that seemed to accompany some of Junior's attacks manifested once more and he was but a speed-bump to the rock as it came crashing down and rolled through where he was crouching. The shelter behind Cold was even less fortunate and was obliterated by the rock as it came to rest.

“Stop destroying my bloody planet,” Cold said through gritted teeth. The cost to repair after this fight would be astronomical at this rate.

Taking advantage of the increased agility that his new size afforded him, Cold dashed at the youth and fired a defence-breaking elbow at his gut. At the back of his mind, a stray thought was waiting for the rush of air from the boy’s mouth that would herald a successful hit. Allowing his momentum to shift slightly, Cold spun around and aimed to slam his tail into Junior’s legs three times in order to get him spinning. He then raised two qi-charged fists and attempted to drive them between the boy’s shoulder blades before shifting to a position out front and aiming a back-hand punch right at the irritation’s pointy little nose.

Cold was determined to stand his ground. This was fine and dandy since Junior had no intentions of backing down without a clear outcome. But given the gruesome fate he suffered at the hands of this monster, it was a wonder Junior found it in him at all to pose any kind of offer of redemption. But that was the kind of person he was. Having to solve murders all the time, Junior did not want to be the one to commit one. However, as he thought about his last encounter with Cold, Junior noted a difference in his attitude. It almost made him wonder. But the brute still had no reservations about committing murder. That alone was enough for Junior to commit to stopping him. He already had an idea for how to repair the damage done here and so there was no need to hold back his efforts. He simply needed to prevent more deaths.

Junior couldn’t argue the point of the battlefield location. He did choose it. But the monster seemed very misled by Junior’s reason for this confrontation in the first place. The amount of lives he must have taken must be so many he can’t even remember the details any more. This sorely angered Junior even more. But he maintained a strong level of composure. Lest, he start battling sloppy. His attacks seemed to be stirring his adversary’s anger. The monster prepared to go on the assault with only one phrase left preceding it.

“Stop destroying my bloody planet.”

“You did not hesitate to destroy Crash Town for the sake of an antique item! Surrender and this ends now!”

Instead of taking Junior’s chance at standing down, the monster bore his brute strength down on the boy with a rush. Junior felt a sharp blow to the gut. It forced air right up through his mouth and his eyes had grown a few more inches on then suddenly from the blow. Next he was sent into a wild spin from cracks of the creature’s tail at his legs. It was then he felt the sharpness of two points of contact at his blindside. Then he began to fall toward the ground. But instead of being allowed to touch the dirt, the merciless monster put himself front side and connected with the boy’s face. Each time the monster got a chance to connect, the flames around Junior’s body did a delightful dance around them, sparks shooting off in several directions and the red and orange coloring flickered as the flames died a little each time. The candle was dying down but not without delivering its dangerous heated backlash. As Junior fell backward, he finally understood the strength Cold possessed in his new form and he noted it; just before hitting the ground.

A moment of silence as a breeze rushed across the field. Junior seemed motionless as he allowed the stings of the received hits to settle. Then he opened his eyes and sat up. He took a breath and then looked up into the eyes of Cold and remembered his final moments in the battle before awakening in the other dimension. That’s what this was all about; a city that had been wiped out for the sake of a single dragon ball, the lives of his friends and others that were endangered. There were no words he could deliver to this being that would make him understand. This was certain. Perhaps he would understand through defeat, as Junior had. Junior’s body began to gleam with energy as he rose to his feet. His brows sunk and then he vanished momentarily; his body drastically sped up. A sharp rush of the air swung itself toward Cold before Junior appeared to his right, leg swinging toward the backside before a land. He jumped into a back flip before preparing his posture again. Junior’s narrowed his eyes and spoke, “Bakuhatsu suru!”

It chained an explosive reaction, the reason for Junior’s prepared posture in the first place. A flash of light took place just then as Junior focused on himself. In the moment of the light flash, Junior’s attire changed to that of a soccer player, donning the number “39” upon the back of his jersey! His right leg was glowing and there was soccer ball under it. His mind was focused on Cold’s position. Junior fixed the ball atop of his right foot now. With the sharp lift of his foot, Junior tossed the ball high into the air, confident he could get to it with a strong jump. He certainly did try, doing a strong leap above the air getting level with the ball. He turned himself around to be back first with the ball. Feeling himself reach the pinnacle of his jump the boy flipped upside down attempted to deliver his strongest kick to the ball in question shouting from the top of his lungs as he connected with it.

“GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!”

The ball shot down from the sky like a rocket toward his adversary. A normal ball would have shattered on impact. But not this ball! It housed energy given to it from Junior’s kick. Junior descended once more into the tried and true catch of his Nimbus Cloud, something he knew was a good thing. The ball came dropping out of the sky like a meteor. Upon its inevitable crash landing, a rippling shockwave force was sent hurtling out from the ball; Junior’s power hit contained in the ball amplified 1.5x. He certainly didn’t want to be on the ground for the shockwave. He also hoped that Cold took the brunt of the ball in the first place. Otherwise there was always the shockwave. Junior crouched upon his cloud and went soaring down toward his adversary once more. His fist was prepared as he came closing in on the cloud. As he got closer it glowed. Junior was aiming to cruise right in for a frontal assault. But as he drew dangerously close, the boy leaped off the cloud and vanished. His body appeared once more to his opponent’s blind side, the fist flying now ki charged for Cold’s upper back. After releasing the swing the boy sprang once more. With a flip he got front side then stepped forward once and swung his right palm which now had flames trailing around his arm up to the palm itself. With a sharp grunt the boy released his force upon Cold once more with a rush of flames.

Then as if almost scripted, the boy willed the dirt to move. This time it wasn’t solid rock, but a thick stream of dirt. He swung it around his body as it came from behind him. Then it zigged and zagged its way toward his enemy. Junior heard the sound of his cloud approach so he hopped up and let his feet plant upon it. The coordination was awesome as far as he was concerned. He approached his opponent from the sky taking an orb that was his stasis grenade. He pulled off the lid attached to the ring and dropped it down as he soared overhead. Junior let himself be carried off by the cloud till he was a distance away. He could be seen if Cold tried and he could be detected. But this position drew him further from the village in hopes of ceasing any more damage to it than had already been inflicted.

SCHEMA
You did not hesitate to destroy Crash Town for the sake of an antique item! Surrender and this ends now!

That was the whelp’s reasoning? Cold was already committed to knocking him senseless, but at the culmination of his attack, he stared at the boy incredulously. Did he see how magnificently hypocritical he was being? The King considered ending it then and there, but then the irritation blurred into insignificance and it was only instinct that permitted Cold to spin and raise his knee to check the blow with the meaty part of his thigh. The subsequent explosion spun him around and caused a momentary lack of focus.

Fortunately, there was a glowing beacon of qi in the form of some sort of ball that immediately drew the reptilian warrior’s attention. Wielding his shield again in the hope that he would be able to get out of this strange attack unscathed, Cold poured him power into it in order to permit his gambit to work. Once it was ready, he belted the ball away as hard as he could. There was no chance to get a glimpse of the fall of shot, for the boy was already following up the attack with a qi-enhanced punch.

As he drew nearer, Junior once again disappeared from sight and Cold bet his block on another rear guard attack. He crossed his hands in front of his face and caught the blow where they intersected, somewhat surprised that his foe was being so sloppy. As the boy repositioned to hit Cold with a close quarters energy attack, the King attempted to interpose his shield between the hand and his unprotected face. The burning attack seared the side of his face, but was cut off as the shield arrived a fraction of a moment too late.

Then the boy was gone, whisked away upon a cloud of dust and dirt but leaving behind yet another grenade that made the King’s head spin. The burn to the side of Cold’s face overrode common sense for a few moments and he prepared to obliterate the area around Junior with a renzoku energy dan on the off chance that he would get some splash damage. But as he went to throw the first of the orbs, caution stayed his hand. This was his planet and fighting here was bad for business.

Whatever the boy’s issues with Cold’s treatment of beings on another planet, or his nature in general were irrelevant. As the Supreme Commander of the PTO, Cold had to make sacrifices for the good of the company. In this case, the good of the company involved not destroying any more of its property defending against some ridiculous vendetta. With that in mind, Cold put two fingers to his forehead and appeared in front of Junior moments later. As he appeared, Cold struck out at the boy with his right hand, aiming to backhand the halfwit for his idiocy.

“I’ll not fight you anymore, whelp. Too much has been destroyed already. If you truly want vengeance for irrelevant wrongs, seek it somewhere that isn’t my backyard.”

Junior lowered himself to a few feet above the ground before jumping off the Nimbus Cloud. His anger was beginning to settle to the point Junior's could merely focus on his target goal; a ceasefire. His big aim in preventing more destruction seemed likely at this point. But what furthered it was the next event. Junior blinked but once and then his hands went to work snatching hold of something speedily approaching him from the front before thrusting two fingers forward. Then Cold appeared as clear as day before Junior; with the boy's two fingers practically pressing his nose. Junior had the monster's wrist in his grasp and now stared into the eyes of his opponent, brows quivering, wondering what's next.

“I’ll not fight you anymore, whelp. Too much has been destroyed already. If you truly want vengeance for irrelevant wrongs, seek it somewhere that isn’t my backyard.”

Just like that. He declared himself done with the fight. But Junior was a fellow of reason. Just looking off to the distance would be enough for Junior to see that he was right. Enough had been destroyed. Not only that, the person he seemed to be confronting now was very different from the one that killed him. Perhaps in some ways he had already begun to change.

"Iidaro. Sore ga shuuryou suru."

Junior's energy settled and the boy stepped back. Junior lowered the hand that was in his opponent's face and reached to his pouch, opening it enough. With use of his telekinesis, the boy pulled four sensu beans from the bag, the ones he originally stole. Junior attempted to lay the beans in his adversary's hand before releasing the wrist from his grip. Then he stepped back. Looking to the sky, the boy sprang up once more, hearing the sound of his nimbus flying up now to meet him. He planted his feet on the cloud and looked down on his adversary. Somehow the outcome had been better than he had hoped for.

"I would prefer never to have this confrontation again, no matter where. Consider this settled."

With that the boy allowed himself to be carried off into the distance upon the cloud, eager to return back to the ship and leave.

The sound of applause filled Daisuke's ears as he stood there upon the stage, lights in every direction and his beautiful assistant standing next to him taking a bow. Circling over his head were four doves. It seemed he spent a decent amount of time performing magic inside the ship.

"Thank you! Thank you! You are wonderful audience!"

Daisuke enjoyed the pleasure for moments more until a voice spoke.

"Daisuke-kun!"

The applause ceased, the lights vanished and suddenly Daisuke found himself no longer on stage in front of an audience but in the center of the living space in their ship. A bewildered Junior was staring at him. Daisuke turned around. His "lovely assistant" turned out to be merely a blow-up doll that he was imagining to be a real woman. Embarrassed was understating how he felt right now.

"S...sensei! Bakku kon'nani hayaku?"

Junior raised a brow. "Yes. Do I want to know what you are doing right now?"

Daisuke looked pale, eyes reduced to black dots as sweat drops appeared on his forehead.

Shit, I've been found out! He's speaking English too! This is bad!

"Just a little self-entertainment!"

Junior stared at him, blinking twice. Then he shook his head.

"Shikata ga nai kana!"

Junior smiled just a little bit and started walking past Daisuke. He stopped as soon as he had passed the boy and was about to go in the hallway.

"Daisuke, start the ship. We're going home."

Daisuke was surprised. "Really??"

"Yes, I miss my family...," he then turned to his student with a smirk on his face, "and we need to find you a real girl."

Daisuke's face turned to anger. "What does that mean!?"

Junior let out a hearty laughter, which triggered Daisuke to start running toward him.

"Sensei, I'll have you take those words back!!"

Junior took off running down the hall as Daisuke gave chase. The door to the ship's hull slowly closed after that with nothing but the sounds of Daisuke and Junior roughhousing in the ship.
