Reader's note: Continued from here! Maragai watched numbly as Jenna rushed forward. The woman was terribly outnumbered. Even if the child didn't count the crippled man, (presumably the leader of the Blackheart Clan – Maragai never did catch his name) Jenna would be fighting against three people at once! Despite her own misgivings about the angry woman, she couldn't sit back and do nothing. To her amazement, however, only two people met Jenna's attack. Both of the men who once stood beside the Blackheart leader surged forward as if they were mentally merged. The trio of combatants met in mid-air, sending a ripple of kinetic energy as they began to clash. To Maragai's surprise, Jenna held her own against the two men almost easily. Her ebony eyes were drawn to the man in the wheelchair. He reached up and stroked his long and white beard. Brown eyes sparkled under his thick rimmed glasses. A scar from an untold battle could be seen on his right cheek. A sneer slowly crossed his wrinkled face. “So you show your colors at last, you damned witch...” His voice was dry and gravely – low and monotone. But Maragai's sharp ears were able to pick up on his words nonetheless. There was something sinister about how the man composed himself; it gave Maragai a small yet rippling chill. Maragai could feel her spine crawl. “How about you, Shiro?” He turned his head to the teenager behind him. “Won't you silence her false claims as well?” Maragai had heard enough. The Saiyan could sit idle no longer. Jenna may have been able to hold her own against the two men she fought in the sky, but against three? That was crossing the line of honor. If that was how the Blackheart clan fought, Maragai could only consider their school's name fitting. “No!” she growled, bending her knees and clenching her tiny fists. “No more of this! Your opponent will be me!” Though her anger was directed towards Blackheart's leader, her words were directed to the teenager behind him. (She still didn't know either of their names) Another sinister feeling crossed Maragai's senses; the child wasn't sure if it came from the man in the wheelchair, or Maragai's soon-to-be opponent. But such an aura carried the stench of taint – a choking blackness that had to be suppressed. There was nothing elegant about Maragai's next movements. The Saiyan didn't care much for flashy entrances or stylish attacks. Such shenanigans often could lead to mistakes; mistakes led to injuries. And injuries could lead to death. So the child did what seemed best at the time. She simply took a tactic out of her father's book. A small spherical object slipped out of Maragai's sleeve and landed softly in her open palm. With a flick of her wrist, the Saiyan sent the grenade flying. It bounced once on the ground in front of her opponent before releasing a powerful electrical explosion. Such a weapon worked wonders in battles; the static effects could cripple the most resilient of foes. Her initial assault had effected more than Maragai had thought of before. The electrical discharge was enough to cause a blackout – streetlights dimmed and died, cars ceased to run, and the nearby stores and restaurants seemed to close at once from the sudden blackout. The ground beneath Maragai's right foot cracked as the Saiyan leaped into the air. Her lithe body arched in the air as she flipped forward, trying to land a brutal vertical ax kick on her foe's right shoulder. “Don't any of you know the meaning of honor?” she growled at her opponent.

Shiro could only watch, when the two strongest students of Crin Blackheart; leader of the Blackheart Clan and Jenna Markil encountered eachother in combat. They had skill, so much was certain, but the woman who completely ignored Shiro's earlier attempts to obtain a peaceful solution between the members of the two clans, was in a way dissapointed in their actions, yet at the same time, surprised to take notice of The woman's own remarkable skill in the martial arts. Looking at Crin, the young man noticed that the leader of the Blackheart clan was internally cursins the fact that he was crippled, feeling the man's blood boil and his spirit toil within the weakened shell that had to represent his body, a feeling Shiro shared with the man, as without his own knowledge, the young man's blood lusted for some excitement as well, a way to relief itself from all the stress of the passed weeks, to unleash the bitter emotions that dwelled within the kid's mind. When the old man suddenly asked if he wasn't going to participate in the fray, Shiro noticed the quite abbrasive reaction of the young girl who had joined Jenna Markil's side for some unknown reason. The young man's hidden eye trembled slightly, when the anger of the girl became apparent, growling almost like an animal at Shiro, as if she were ready to cobble him up on the first chance she'd get. Somehow this idea made him smile, which seemingly resulted in a seriously grave misunderstanding. With Shiro not capable of showing an actual friendly and happy smile, his curled lips only formed a cold grin, which albeit its negative impact on the girl, was absolutely not what Shiro wanted his grin to be. "Really?!" The young man seemed to start repeating himself, questioning the girl's motives and actions openly, not even having the time to show his lecherous side, though somewhere in his mind a bell rang, warning him this was neither the time or place to try and shock some minor. He abided by this idea, only to be surprised when a small spherical object fell right in front of his feet. "What the...?" Urged to reach out for the object, the young man had tried to reach for it, unfortunately for him, the device exploded before even his fingertips could touch it, resulting in a single weak shockwave, followed by a strange electric current surging through everything in the neighbourhood of the device's initial explosion. Shiro could feel his own muscles tense because of the stinging sensation the electric current had left behind, yet not only were his muscles tensed, it also seemed that the stinging sensation of the electrical current had a secondary effect, it made it harder to move his limbs and body, as if he was somehow restricted by some web consisting out of invisible threads. In short, this all was highly uncomfortable to the highschool kid. A second later though, his senses peaked and he registered that the young girl had now finally made her initial move, flipping in the air, she gave quite a show. She seemed to twist and turn her body into angles Shiro wouldn't even dare dreaming about, but that was besides the matter, even for him, addoration had to wait for the moment. Though it wasn't easy, the young man managed to slide his feet into a wider stance, bending through his knees while throwing his arms upwards towards the incoming leg, crossed over eachother in order to defend himself and brace for the impact of the girl's quite violent axe kick. Feeling her small, but strong leg collide with his arms, Shiro could only hope this battle would be over soon, because she did pack some force in that small body of hers, something the young man felt, when a sensation of numbness and pain was mixed in his forearms after having done his best in blocking the axekick. "Honor?" Shiro loudly questioned the young girl's words. "Seriously, does this come from the two idiots that simply ignored the fact that we came here to negotiate and started assaulting us without any clear and profound reason. And you dare question my honor, hypocritical little wench!!" That did make it obvious, Shiro's idea of acting as a negotiator had failed miserably, meaning all that was left now...was beating some sense into that malicious maiden that assaulted him.

Maragai blinked. Her attack had been blocked. It had been blocked. The truth was quick to hit Maragai like a pile of bricks; she wasn't going up against somebody who didn't know how to fight – just the opposite, in fact. But the strength of his block was something to question in the Saiyan's mind. It seemed weak and feeble, somehow. It was as if the man she was fighting did not hold the power she did. And that was a good thing! Still, the child from the future couldn't help but wonder how long the breeze would continue until the storm broke free. With gritted teeth, the Saiyan removed her leg from Shiro's arm. The block had left the girl in an awkward position, to say the least. Her sneakers barely made a sound as she touched back down on the road. The Saiyan could still hear the battle above her; Jenna had knocked one of the men into a nearby wall, yet was caught by a fierce uppercut to the chin from the other. Maragai tore her gaze away. She needed to focus on her own opponent instead of worrying about how Jenna was handling herself. Something about Shiro's words irked Maragai. It was true – Maragai had no intention on helping Jenna confront her husband's murderers. That was assuming that the Blackheart clan was (indeed) responsible for the man's death. And if the crippled man's sneer had anything to say, it was that he was a cocky and arrogant man. Such a personality could often lead to a darker and more sinister path. Maragai had heard of such corruption before. “Why would you associate with murderers?” Maragai asked of Shiro as she shifted from her right leg to her left. Her bod continued to weave back and forth as the Saiyan determined her best method of attack. Her own words registered a spit second later; Maragai had committed herself to the belief that this martial arts school had something to do with Tatsu Markil's untimely demise. His grieving wife was now a former shell of her proud self. The woman was obviously enraged as she continued her battle for revenge against Blackheart and his sons. “There's no negotiation to be had here!” Maragai continued, narrowing her ebony eyes dangerously. A small wind picked up, carrying her long hair sideways. The same newspaper that she held before announcing Tatsu's death cut a path through the air between Shiro and her. “They killed a man! They need to be brought to justice!” With those words, Maragai brought a small bottle to her lips. The Saiyan drank its contents, immediately feeling a surge in energy. Maragai's eyes snapped open wide. It felt as if a powerful electrical current had surged through her entire body. But unlike Shiro's previous experience, Maragai's did not hold her strength at bay. Casting the empty bottle aside carelessly, Maragai surged forward. Her legs were little more than a blur as the Saiyan closed the distance upon her opponent once more. She was tired of this situation already and was eager to put a swift end to it. “And if you think for a moment that I'd believe that any respectable person would side with a band of killers, you're as crazy as they are!” The shrill declaration had left her small lips. The wind from before had died down into a eerie calm. Maragai cocked her fist back and aimed a powerful blow to Shiro's ribs. The air seemed to ripple around her blow as she did so. “Now fight me!” And with that, the tiny Saiyan attempted to force the man into a grapple filled with close combat shenanigans.

Why would he associate with muderers indeed, the girl did pose a good question, but on the other hand he simply followed the request of Master Muten Roshi. He couldn't just throw away his master's request just because the clans had some fueds and because that Jenna Markil was so certain of the fact Crin was behind her husband's untimely death. No, he would knock some sense in both the girl and then that woman. If they didn't accept him as a negotiator, if they did not respect his master's wishes, while Crin Blackheart allowed him in his home, accepted his terms and showed no defiance to a peoper negotiation with Jenna Markil, he had an easy choice of who he would be defending, who's honor was truly at stake here. "You both only make matters worse with your immature behavior," The young man finally replied, this time no longer restraining himself because he wanted to find a peaceful solution for the two clans. With the blockades on his Ki gone, Shiro's latent power quickly started rising astonishingly and even so, he was still not displaying his full force, which the girl; if she was smart, would have realized because he wasn't straining himself at all. For a moment he was baffled, as his words seemed hardly to go through that little brat's thick skull, with her spouting new accusations, ending it all up with a drink which Shiro doubted was made for consumption to such youngsters like herself. Though she acted, reacted and on top of that looked like an ordinary, loudmouth brat, her actions were of a completely different level than any normal earthling, not to mention that tail. Suddenly it hit him, both physically as well as mentally; While he finally realized were he had seen such a tail before, Shiro felt the girl's fist smash against his ribcage forcefully, unwillingly making him take a few steps back, while his hands instinctively went for the center of the searing pain on his chest. However, he now knew where he had seen such a tail before, she was a saiyan and that instantly explained everything: the lack of manners, the lack of patience, well basically the lack of every thought of proper conduct and a ridiculous strength in such a tiny body. When she rushed towards him again, forcing Shiro to take the battle up close, he let her go on. He was determined to show her that she and Jenna Markil were doing it all wrong and if he had to do it the hard way, it was all fine by him. "If it's a whoopin' you're wantin', it's a whoopin' you're gettin'," The young guy said with a grin on his face, quickly initiating his own assault on the girl with a quick palmstrike aimed to her chest. pulling back his right arm, Shiro threw a right hook squarely at Maragai's lower jaw, followed by a repeating move coming from the other side. To top it all off, Shiro took one step closer to the girl, quickly making a quarter turn, while lowering himself a bit, to fortify the impact of his forceful uppercut aimed at her chin. This time he was willing to keep the distance between them at a minimum, because if the girl got hurt, he would have her listen to him, that was all he could think about at the time.

There was a solid crack that sounded loudly as Maragai's tiny fist crashed into the teenager's chest. To Maragai, it seemed as if her attack had been quite successful; Shiro took a few steps back from the blow. For the Saiyan, it was a moment of positive joy. A jubilant feeling swept over her mind like a violent wave. It was so easy to allow her lust for battle take over from here. After all, Saiyan blood coursed through her veins. Combat was what she was bred for – winning was what she was living for. "If it's a whoopin' you're wantin', it's a whoopin' you're gettin'” Shiro's words caused Maragai to raise a single eyebrow. She still didn't know what to think of her opponent. At times, he seemed to come off as lazy. Other times, (such as this) he seemed to be a complete moron. But such thoughts were put to the side; the Saiyan had a battle to win. It didn't take long for Maragai to realize that Shiro liked to make large attacks. And when Maragai was nearly toe to toe with him, she could see the attacks coming from a mile away. She stepped backwards slightly, offering her side to the man to make herself a smaller target. His first strike had been aimed at her chest – an open palm to her chest. With another step to the side, Maragai found his attack quite easy to weave around; the man's strike hit only empty air. “You won't be able to whoop anyone with attacks like that,” Maragai couldn't help but taunt as she ducked under another strike aimed at her head. She knew that if any of Shiro's attacks landed, she'd be hurting bad. So the simplest solution to that problem was not to get hit. And with the man's overly exaggerated attacks... well, the Saiyan didn't think she would be hit any time soon. No sooner than the thought crossed her mind, a swift movement caught her eye. A blur from above drew Maragai's attention. But when the Saiyan looked up briefly, she couldn't see anything aside from Jenna fighting her two adversaries. I know I saw something... the child thought, narrowing her eyes. Again, a blur caught her eye. But this one could be identified. Shiro was still attacking her. And thanks to her brief distraction, the Saiyan didn't have any time to dodge the next attack. Instead, she brought up both of her arms, blocking the right side of her face. Shiro's fist crashed painfully into her block, carrying the child off of her feet. In no time at all, Maragai's foe had followed it up with another attack. Thankfully, Maragai's hands were in an optimal position. With a quick shift of her block, she guarded her chin as her foe's fist came upwards. Allowing the force of the blow to push her lithe body into the air, the Saiyan glanced down. Shiro still had much more even footing at this point in time. His strength and speed were obviously greater than hers. But the Saiyan was hardly going to get discouraged. After all, there was always a way to win. Even against impossible odds. (Maragai would hardly call these odds impossible, though) Rather pleased with her defense, Maragai fell back down, aiming two swift rabbit punches at Shiro's nose. Even if they didn't pack much strength behind them, they were meant to make his eyes water and distort his equilibrium. As soon as the Saiyan's feet scraped the ground, she crouched, spinning around on one foot and extending the other, trying to unbalance the man. Like a rocket, the Saiyan shot upwards right after, attempting to ram her skull into the man's chin. “How's that?” she couldn't help but gloat.

He did know that he wasn't really ready to fight and that had two easy reasons: One, he didn't want to fight in the first place and two, his opponent was a girl, an extremely young girl even. This wasn't a fight for survival nor a fight for some kind of competition. This fight was base and practically without reason or definite meaning behind it, in Shiro's eyes, this bout was no more than a misplaced way of deciding who was right and who was wrong. Even though he showed a lazy and sometimes even lecherous or complete idiotic behavior, the young man knew very well the danger and disadvantage that came with his wide and slow attacks, there was only one reason for this kind of fighting: to learn about the girl's fightingstyle, to see how she moved, where she moved to most of the time and in that way try to predict her own attacks and defenses when the tide would turn. The girl displayed talent, though it was expected from a saiyan, even Shiro knew this (He had been snooping around more than enough in the GIC database). Maragai's lithe body had shown to be a rather hard target, but when she blocked his left hook and an instant later, his uppercut, Shiro also learned that she was light, seeing her go up in the air when his uppercut reached her arms. Yet, she also appeared to be as strong as he thought she was, her strength might have been a smidge lower than his, but still, the girl packed a serious wallop. "I'd say you as well, have an obvious flaw," Shiro said softly, almost cold. His demeanor had instantly changed when he started to gain understanding into the girl's way of fighting. Quickly raising both his hands in front of his face, cupped behind eachother to hold off the force of the two rabbit punches and in doing so, safeguarding himself from a painful nose and a most likely distorted vision. "You seem to judge your opponent on first sight." While she dropped down again, he realized he had to do something so he made a quick backflip right in time, as he sweep seemed to be followed by a skullbash, which was luckily hitting nothing but air now, though Shiro could imagine how he would feel if that had been a solid hit. "Hmm...not bad," The young man answered, while he got back onto his feet. Even though he said it with a rather uninterested tone of voice, in his mind he loudly applauded for the girl's ingenuity. Shiro tried to stretch out his fingers without the girl noticing it, after which he made a few quick steps towards Maragai, sending two quick jabs towards her upper body, one aimed at right above her right armpit and one aimed at the exact same spot above her left armpit, trying to disrupt the musclegroup which governed her arms, shoulders and chest. Not even willing to take a breather, the young man's leg came up high, aiming to slam his knee right against the young girl's chest with all the force he had. He could've aimed higher, with her being so short and all, but messing up a girl's face was something he wouldn't do, knowing most of the times this would make the girl in question turn into a raging fury. "I wonder if there's even a reason for you to be here?" Shiro asked calmly, while lowering his leg. He had to know at least that much, otherwise what was the point of fighting anyway, because he still thought of it as a meaningless fight, maybe she could give him a reason to fight.

Alright RP award. This was difficult actually. The writing on both sides is pretty smooth. But I'm going with Shiro for the RP award. I can see the improvements in his writing and I'm highly impressed. I'm loving the banter between the two fighters as well. Good job. |

“I wouldn't say that's a flaw,” Maragai responded gravely. “I've just seen a lot more than you have.” There was a sudden wisdom in the girl's words that hadn't shown before. Her past had been a living hell. She had seen monsters with enough power to topple a Super Saiyan. And with those experiences, Maragai was able to figure out that her opponent was on a level that she could handle. Once more, a flash of movement caught her eye. And once more, the Saiyan was quick to draw her eyes to it. But again, there was nothing. The Saiyan narrowed her eyes. I know I saw that! Why would I be hallucinating? Her frantic thoughts were interrupted as Shiro's fists crashed into her upper chest. They stung, but the Saiyan was able to bounce back from it in time to narrowly avoid the next strike. Shiro's knee was little more than a blur as it hurtled towards the Saiyan's exposed chest. Gritting her teeth, Maragai jerked her entire body to the side, letting out a small hiss of pain as her palm slammed into the asphalt to her right. She had avoided the attack, sure. But her palm was now all scraped up. In the awkward position she was in, Maragai had to get back up quickly. But with her opponent hovering so closely over her, there was only precious seconds to spare for such a maneuver. So the most logical option (in Maragai's head, at least) was to attack and get up in the same fluid movement. So she did. Launching herself upward with her arm, Maragai aimed a powerful double-footed kick at Shiro's gut. With a beautiful spin in the air, Maragai went airborne briefly, aiming a knee to his face. The tiny warrior quickly vaulted over his entire body, landing behind him. Her blood felt as if were on fire. The thrill of combat was quickly swamping out her other senses. Instinct threatened to take over her planned strategic strikes; Maragai had to force it down and assault Shiro's spine with the same knee she had used from before. Her entire form vanished, leaving behind nothing more than a wisp of disturbed air. Maragai knew that Shiro wouldn't have to wait long to find out where the slippery Saiyan had gone to. No more than a millisecond had passed before she reappeared, slipping her hands around his head to drive one more knee into his face. With the tiniest of chuckles, she aimed a powerful hammer blow to the top of his head afterwords to finish the combination. The child disengaged right after, landing on the ground several feet away. Need to focus more, she berated herself harshly. But why do I get the feeling that I'm being watched?

"Seen more than I have?" Shiro doubted her words loudly, though on the other hand he couldn't really disagree with her, after all she was still a saiyan and he only had a memory of little u der one year. Basically, even with her young age, her words could've been carrying more weight than the young man even realized. "Well...ok, that is actually possible, taking in my current condition." The young man was quite surprised by the girl's quick thinking. Yeah, his initial jabs did reach their target, but when he had his knee come at her, it hit nothing but air, as the girl's lithe and small body had already been tossed aside on her own accord. He did notice that she was distracted, which in turn made him be distracted as well, because he tried to search for the thing that seemed to have caught her eye, yet all that he could see, was Jenna Markil being slammed into a concrete wall and coming out of it again to face her two opponents. In Shiro's opinion now, that girl either had indeed seen something which he couldn't or she was basically the victim of mere personal hallucinations. "Yeah...she does obviously SEE more than me," The young man thought, actually finding his own statement quite funny, which made him chuckle a bit. It was because of this inside joke, that the young man almost forgot to keep an eye on his downed opponent, who seemingly making use of the highschool kid's distraction, made an attempt to hit him square in the gut with some kind of kangarou kick. "Whoah" Shiro shouted insurprise, having barely dodged that double footed kick by taking a quick step backwards, yet the girl was obviously not done yet, throwing her knee at his face with quite a dangerous speed. Luckily for him and more importantly; his face, he managed to throw his arms in front of that very face of him just in time, taking the full brunt of the attack hith his forearms, forcing him a bit backwards. "Damn, you do pack a punch there," Sensing her Ki signature shift and move, Shiro knew that Maragai was aiming to go for his biggest blind spot: his back. Just an instant before her knee would connect with his spine, he sidestepped quickly, throwing a hard karatechop backwards, aimed at her throat. His eyes tried to follow the little girl, as she suddenly vanished, her Ki signature only reappearing an instant later. Shiro's reaction being to slow, the girl had managed to grab his head and crash her knee against his face with an amazingly brutal force, forcing him to scream from the searing pain that ran through his nose, which with a loud snapping sound gave way to her limb's force. It appeared his nose was broken, as it started swelling a bit and a small stream of rather dark red blood came out of one of his nostrils. If this was a friendly spar or something, the young man would've instantly thrown in the towel at such a point, but here he couldn't do such thing. With an unknown anger and cold hatred burbling up from deep within himself, the young man's demeanor changed again. Gone was the calm, collected or carefree nature of the boy, replaced by a colder, more ruthless demeanor that was so natural to that 'other' part of his blood. When the girl's clenched hands came down towards his head, aiming to perform a dangerous hammerblow, he grabbed her tiny fists with his left hand, yanking her closer to him, while driving his right hand upwards, fiercely aiming at her chin with every amount of strength he had in a straight uppercut. No more holding back, no more restraining himself. If the girl wanted to be beaten into a sack of broken and bruised bones, her wish would now be granted. This action, he quickly followed up with a straight upward kick, with the aim to keep the lithe girl into the air, as he aimed at the exact same spot with his foot where earlier he aimed his fierce uppercut. "Now you little bitch, let's take this to the next level shall we?" Shiro hissed, while gritting his teeth and holding his fists up in an almost aggressive looking stance.

The next exchange of blows happened at a speed that Maragai could hardly keep up with. Her neck had been assaulted. By what, Maragai didn't have a clue. But she did know that it hurt. A lot, in fact. One of her own attacks had landed, (a welcome reprieve from the seemingly endless cycle of dodging and blocking coming from Shiro) leaving her opponent with a very crooked nose. Shit! Did I break it? I didn't mean to hit him that hard! Maragai thought angrily. But most of the anger was now directed to herself. Before she could begin to feel sorry for her foe, the man retaliated beautifully, landing a fierce blow below her chin. The tiny Saiyan felt her teeth slam together as her body left the ground. With a massive effort to keep her wits, Maragai let off a single pulse of Ki, suspending herself in the air long enough to identify the next threat. The source of the threat was rather simple; Shiro had aimed a single kick at her. Using her Ki as propulsion, the child from the future ducked to the right just in time to avoid the follow-up attack. Her feet skidded on the ground as she landed several feet away from Shiro. From this point, Maragai could see the sudden rage contorting Shiro's face. Blood still dripped from his nose, splattering on the asphalt below. "Now you little bitch, let's take this to the next level shall we?" Maragai blinked a couple of times, looking startled. What had caused this sudden transformation? He's finally snapped... Now's your chance! The hushed voice caused Maragai's eyes to widen. She didn't recognize it, yet she could tell that whoever had spoken was female. The Saiyan glanced around wildly for a moment. What are you doing? He's distracted! Strike now! Maragai glanced back to Shiro. He seemed disoriented... somehow. Was the broken nose blurring his vision? Was he succumbing to the pain? The Saiyan decided not to ask any further questions and drive her point home. With a roar, she sprinted forward, leaping up and attempted to drive her knee right back into the man's nose. If his broken nose hurt now, it'd hurt a hell of a lot worse after she was done with it. With the Saiyan's momentum still carrying her both forward and upward, the tiny girl flipped over his head, twisted until she was upside down, and sucked in a deep breath of air. A brief flash of orange and yellow light radiated from the back of her throat. Then, a torrent of flames escaped her lips, racing towards the back of Shiro's head. With yet another deep inhale, the Saiyan sent another wall of fire at the man's back. With her attack completed, she completed her acrobatic display, digging both of her boots into the asphalt once more as she skidded away, bringing her hand down for balance. "What's wrong with you?" Maragai couldn't help but asking. "Work with me here, would you? These men need to be taken into custody! If they're guilty, they need to be brought to justice!" It wasn't until then when Maragai realized a shocking detail. Someone or something had spoken to her telepathically. The Saiyan had yet to figure out who or what. Hello? She asked silently and hesitantly. No soothing voice answered her plea.

OOC: 24 houring, unfortunately. I've waited for a while, now. IC: Maragai was almost dumbfounded that the voice in her head (the more she thought about it, the more she thought about checking herself into the nearest insane asylum) was right about Shiro. He had been distracted! Her knee collided solidly with the teen's face, causing a loud crack to resound through the air. The sound made Maragai feel sick. She could only imagine what kind of pain Shiro was feeling now. Blood dripped to the ground; but at this point, Maragai was unsure if it was Shiro's or her own. Each of her flame-based attacks landed as well; the child could hear the sizzling of flesh as they struck. They left Shiro in a deep blanket of nearly impenetrable smoke. Don't let up! Gritting her teeth, Maragai sprinted forward as soon as her feet touched the ground. She could see the shadowy figure where Shiro stood. Pushing up from the ground, the tiny time traveler lashed out once at each of her foe's ear, attempting to push air into his eardrums and disorient him. "Give up!" she growled, her mouth alive with flames yet again. There was a soft sound as her boots struck the ground. The Saiyan pivoted on her right foot and let off another flurry of flames - one after another. The walls of orange and red gas rushed towards her foe, singing the asphalt in its wake and turning the road into tar.

It was a complete devastation, no; annihilation of his selfesteem: being beaten soundly by what he perceived to be a child only barely a teen. Shiro really didn't have an easy time with the girl. Sure he was glad that his retaliation did have some effect, but feeling the child's knee crash against his nose a second time, having his jacket and some of his hair burned by the girl's flaming breath, was all a complete disgrace and dissapointment to someone who had not much earlier been ranting about giving Maragai a sound whooping. Throwing off his ruined jacket, flexing his muscles a bit, feeling both the strain of his attacks and the pain of her attacks, the young man had a better preparation for the girl's new onslaught. "Man, what've they been feeding you?" The highschool kid asked with a soft chuckle, though in fact he was serious. He realized he should've been better prepared to fight. Not only did he not have the girl's fancy drinks, but he also forgot to go and get some senzu beans. With slightly blemished and burned skin, The youth prepared himself when the smoke around him started to clear. Yep, the little girl was on the move again, maybe she really was trying to kill him. He surely hoped that wasn't the case, because at that very moment, he wasn't even sure if he would be able to even be able to regain control over the fight...if he ever had it, that is. When the girl came close enough, the young man felt her hands lash out towards his ears, stinging pain combined with a concussion like feel to his ears made him take a few steps back. That girl really knew how to handle her enemies, if she wasn't a foe, he would have loved to have a chat with her. Seeing her chest swell up again, he could already guess what was coming; she was going to melt the asphalt of the street again. Yeah, he wasn't going to stick at that place, litterally. Darting towards one of the buildings at the side of the street, jumping over the boardwalk and through the windows, Shiro laughed when he saw the street's asphalt melt, crackle and pop like bubblegum put in a microwave oven. However, the smile quickly faded away, when he saw the people looking at him inside the building. Normally he didn't really care what happened to others, but he couldn't just let the girl burn the entire place down. Jumping through the window again, the young man yelled fiercely, while pulling his arm backwards during his jump. Just before the flames would hit him, he swiped at them with the retracted arm, dispersing them rather than deflecting them because of the flames incohesive nature, yet the result remained the same: no one got hurt. Now he was certain, that girl was one heck of a homicidal, ego-tripping, selfcentered maniac, basically, she was almost the same as him. "Give up?" The young man retaliated slightly angered at her demand. "We just started. You're the one who started this fight, so it is only correct that you're the one apologizing for the damage your making and surrender to me, because I'm not the one fighting for any of these misfit clans, how's that for an answer?" To give his words some extra strength, Shiro used the fastest way possible to reach the teen, vanishing from where he was standing seconds earlier, only to reappear right behind the young saiyan, throwing a fast and hard chop at her neck with the full force of his current exerted power.

Maragai's luck was bound to run out. After all, one could never leave the outcome of a situation to chance. Chance was a bitch. Chance was an enemy. And the Saiyan's chances of an easy victory was going down the drain fast. Shiro had found his second wind and dealt with her flames beautifully. If the small time traveler wasn't so hell-bent on winning, she would have stopped and shook her head in amazement. "Give up?" Shiro was yelling at her. "We just started. You're the one who started this fight, so it is only correct that you're the one apologizing for the damage your making and surrender to me, because I'm not the one fighting for any of these misfit clans. How's that for an answer?" Maragai frowned at that. "You're fighting on the wrong side," she told him. "You should be helping me to stop this madness and bring these idiots to justice!" "Such seriousness." The voice came from Blackheart. The man was still staring at the Saiyan with contempt in his blazing eyes. "And from such a young specimen? The Blackheart Clan always prevails. You're missing the forest for the trees. I saw a chance to solidify our grip on this city and took it. If that doesn't rationalize my actions, then nothing will." "It doesn't!" Maragai shot at him. "You can't justify murder! You never can!" The Saiyan's voice became shrill. "And on top of that-" Whatever she was about to say next was put to an abrupt halt. The entire world around her seemed to fall into a puddle of goo - like a melting cube of ice. Soon, the Saiyan found herself in a blank world. Nothing seemed to be a part of reality. No visible surface held her up, yet she could stand comfortably. (or as comfortably as she could with her sore body) Where am I? she wondered, casting an uneasy glance around her. It was then when the tiny Saiyan girl noticed another presence with her. It was a wolf - a white wolf with fur so pure that it seemed to glow with a bright luminescence. Its eyes were alive with a yellow flame that seemed to pierce Maragai's soul. "Who are you?" Despite her odd predicament, the Saiyan felt as if the sentient being was the only thing of importance. "I am Je'shlen," the wolf-like spawn introduced herself with a nod of her head. Maragai's eyes widened. The voice in her head was from this creature? As if Je'sheln could read her mind, she chuckled softly. "Yes, child. But that is not of importance of now. All you need to do is trust me and believe." "Believe in what?" Maragai whispered. Her head felt as if were swimming in a lake of confusion. Instead of giving the Saiyan an answer, the wolf-like creature looked up and perked her ears as if listening to something else. After a brief moment, Je'sheln looked back at Maragai. "I must take my leave," she apologized, getting up and approaching Maragai. The Saiyan flinched slightly as the creature touched her chest with a warm nose. But with the touch, she could feel a renewing energy course through her body. "Take some of my power with you." The wolf's eyes glimmered with amusement. "And you may want to watch your back when you return to the waking realm." "What-" Once again, Maragai found herself in her previous location. It seemed as if no time had passed at all. But a bad feeling crept into the girl's gut. Watch your back! Je'sheln's voice sounded in her mind. The wolf's warning was dire and thick with urgency. Instinctively following the creature's warning, Maragai spun around on a single heel to find herself face to face with Shiro. The teen's hand was rapidly approaching her exposed neck. That's not happening twice! the Saiyan swore to herself. Pouring every ounce of strength she had into it, the child leaped up into the air. Not fast enough... Shiro's hand crashed painfully against her chest, sending the girl flying backwards. Thankfully, his blow had landed on her armor, a much more sturdy defense than her neck. Still yet, it took Maragai a second to orient herself enough to land back on the ground feet first and skid to a halt. An area of heat seemed to swell up within her. It swirled in a contained aura, leaving Maragai only one way to release it. Was this Je'sheln's gift? The Saiyan wasn't sure. But her next move was obvious. She clenched her fists and widened her stance. Bringing her Ki outward, the child's amethyst aura exploded into existence. The Saiyan could feel her muscles tighten, loosen, then tighten once more. Blood rushed through her body quicker, causing the child to feel warm. And the newly found strength... "I don't think I'll lose now," she whispered softly. Electricity crackled around her like lightning in a storm as she dashed forward. Her feet moved so quickly, it was as if they had never left the ground. A fierce look could be seen on her young face. "It's over." She ducked down as Shiro came within range. It was as if she were going for a low hit. But the Saiyan had something more powerful in mind. With a small grunt of effort, she surged upward, aiming to knock Shiro off of his feet via a powerful uppercut aimed at his chin. "Let's dance." With those sinister words, the Saiyan moved closer, attempting to engage in a high-speed exchange of blows. She had come out on top before. It would be way too easy to do it again.

Was he finally turning the tides of this battle or was he just having some luck at last. His desperate move did hit the girl, but somehow, beyond his comprehension, she managed to predict his strike and minimized the effect of it by turning herself around and redirecting the attack to her chest, making him hit her armor. Something was odd, when she seemingly powered up, Shiro could feel her entire power, though lower than even his current level, it slightly irked him that he wasn't given any time to utilize all his own power as well. He had to make a mental note of that, next time use all power available from start. The biggest surprise however, was when the girl had a short discussion with Crin Blackheart, who told the girl that he simply did what was correct, taking advantage of the troubled times and of the opportunities offered to him by chance. This did result in Shiro gritting his teeth in anger. Apparently he had been deceived the entire time, not something to be happy about. "Wait, what?" The young man yelled at Maragai, hoping that she would understand that he was confuzed by what was being said. Because of this confusion, Shiro did not notice what the saiyan girl was doing in time, feeling her fist crash upon his chin and propelling him backwards for a few yards, where he skid over the street's asphalt while rubbing his jaw. "Yo kid, do you even understand a word I'm saying?" Shiro yelled angrily, only sighing deeply when realizing that the girl made no signs of stopping the battle, in that way annoying the young man even more so. "For crying out loud, I really need an aspirine here." Bend on teaching Maragai an everlasting lesson, the young hybrid decided not to act soft on her, immediately he started skipping on his feet, swaying from side to side, suddenly lashing out in two swift jabs aimed at the girl's collarbone, followed by him swinging his arm up, aiming a rough, yet precise elbow strike at the child's chin. Not giving her a moment of reprisal, Shiro continued by turning around real quick, using the momentum of his heelturn to throw his ither elbow sidewards towards Maragai's face, going all the way around, he continued using this momentum of his turn, by ending the complete turnabout with a forceful straight punch aimed at the girl's nose...maybe that could've been called a grudge. Knowing he had to make some distance, the young man aimed to finalize the assault, buy swiftly lifting up and bending his leg, letting it snap out like a coilspring towards her chest, hoping to strike it with ful force or at least enough force to scare her away, because he noticed that the street was becoming to small of a playing field for the both of them.

Maragai was disturbed. Not with the battle, but what she had seen. Could the Saiyan call it a vision? It didn't seem like one! Je'sheln.... Maragai brooded over the name. Who was she? The Saiyan knew she was a wolf-like creature. She had a striking resemblance to Skoll, the elemental deity that resided within her mother. Yet she was different as well. No matter how much thought Maragai put into it, the Saiyan couldn't draw a definitive conclusion from the perplexing scenario. But the problem would have to wait. There was something much more important at play in the present and waking world. Mainly, Shiro. The teenager was quite perplexing to Maragai. It was as if he were a bit confused in the head. His emotions seemed to shift almost erratically. But when he called for a reprieve, Maragai was too far into her attack to pull back in time. “Sheesh,” she muttered. “If you wanted to stop, you should have said something earlier.” But the child's words seemed to fall on deaf ears. “Besides. Aspirin probably wouldn't help that.” The Saiyan pointed at Shiro's crooked nose. Her smart mouthed response didn't pay off. Shiro immediately engaged her, slamming a fist into both of her shoulders. The time traveler gritted her teeth as she fought not to be thrown backwards. Shiro was strong. Stronger than her, that was for sure. But she still wasn't impressed. When her opponent came in to aim an elbow at her chin, (attacking her chin was quickly becoming Shrio's trademark. Or rut. Whatever one would call it.) Maragai reacted the same way she had done before: bracing herself with two open palms rested under her chin. And again, the Saiyan's feet left the ground. Which was fine. It gave the child ample time to narrowly dodge the same elbow closing on her face. With a grunt of effort, the child resisted the urge to catch herself in mid-air and instead fell to the asphalt to duck beneath it after her short arch. The child grunted as her back struck the hot road. With her face up, she could see Shiro spinning around. Wasted movement... Using that small window of opportunity, Maragai leaped to her feet and pushed her entire body to the right, leaving her foe's next attack to strike empty air where her face once was. Tch. That was still too close... The Saiyan was starting to wonder how much longer she could keep the blazing pace that Shiro had set. Not only had he proven his strength, but now his speed? This really was an uphill battle. Strangely, Maragai enjoyed it. Perhaps it was her Saiyan blood that relished the challenge. “Almost,” Maragai couldn't help but jab the slanted comment towards Shiro. Maragai's father had told her that half of a battle was psychological. Perhaps now was a good time to test the truth of that theory. She was unsure of Shiro's reaction – mainly because she had yet another attack to deal with. Her foe had cocked back his foot and struck forward. With a small growl, Maragai brought both of her arms up and crossed them, allowing his hard kick to land on her block. It was like getting hit by a freight train. The Saiyan had to wonder if it would have been more effective to allow the attack to land on her armor. Despite her good defense, the Saiyan was left with throbbing forearms as her body was shoved backwards. My turn... As her body sailed through the air, the Saiyan glanced behind her. She was headed straight to a nearby store! Perfect! Though the child could have broken her fall at any time, she decided to hold off to attempt a small little trick – a display of smoke and mirrors. As soon as her body looked as if was about to crash through the brick wall, the Saiyan held her barred arm out. When it struck the wall with the required force to shatter it, the Saiyan vanished to leave behind an illusion of a falling building. The falling building was not the illusion. It did fall. But Maragai was no longer there. Instead, the child had reappeared to Shiro's side. Her fist was already in mid-swing. With that small maneuver, Maragai aimed a devastating blow to her opponent's right kidney. “Are you going to calm down enough and think rationally, now?” Maragai asked, narrowing her eyes. “What more evidence do you need?” The Saiyan pointed at Blackheart. “He's already insinuated that he killed Tatsu!” “I didn't do it personally,” Blackheart rumbled, a deep chuckle resounding in his throat. “But I would have loved to.” Maragai gritted her teeth. Anger began to brew within her. She would deal with the Blackheart Clan shortly enough. But first.... The Saiyan glared at Shiro. “Are you really going to continue this?”

He wasn't sure about it, but somehow Shiro did not feel all that good. It might've been a backlash from his nose, his waverings idealism or just everything at once. Fighting with a teen girl was not what he expected to be doing this time round, nor did he expect that that kind of youngster would possess such force. For just a second he gritted his teeth in anger, realizing that he had indeed been toyed with by the Blackheart Clan. Not just that tough, it also irked him that the damn girl had managed to completely evade any and all damage from his assault again, a really annoying fact for someone who wanted to move this battle along, to find a decisive answer and not just keep on punching and kicking, scolding and swearing. This line of thoughts almost made him forget reality, just barely he managed to notice the kid saiyan's moves towards him and in that minimal instant of time he had, the young man quickly turned while lowering himself. With his arms crossed in front of his chest, he managed to take the full brunt of the girl's blow. His feet practically burrying themselves into the street's asphalt, Shiro let out a sigh, glad that he had turned to take the attack with his arms, no way he would've remained standing if that girl's blow would hit his side, clearly she was aiming at his kidney, the thought of which made Shiro let out another, slightly deeper sigh. "Do I have a choice?" The highschool kid replied to the saiyan's question. He did not like to lose, knew that he wasn't the one starting the fight in the first place and he was going to be damned as Hell if he gave up against such a noisy, arrogant brat. "We'll continue this. As long as you make no intentions to seize the assault, I will not halt my actions either. This is no longer between those humans, this is between you and me now." He hoped that the little girl understood that last hint. If he wanted to win this battle, he had to accept, even embrace the fact that he was no more human than that saiyan teen. He had already felt it from the moment he had to disperse those flames she send earlier, the fact that the genetically altered blood; the Primeval blood of the former GIC chairman Halcyon, was boiling inside him. It was urging Shiro to unleash his full potential, but so far the youth managed to keep in control. "Because you're a saiyan, you will understand why I want to continue this fight, even if there is no more reason to do so," The young man yelled, while rushing towards Maragai at full speed. "You're from a race born to fight and my blood has been genetically enhanced by the Deus-program. We live to fight and every time we do, we get stronger. If I were to lose this fight, I will neither be mad or sad, but only encouraged to beat you another time. I hope you will agree to this, Saiyan girl." Having said what he wanted just in time, Shiro vanished from sight, right before he reached the girl, only to reappear right in front of her, throwing his right fist towards the saiyan teen's abdomen at full force, followed by a quick open palmstrike aimed at her chest. Not showing any signs of slowing down, the young man threw his left leg upwards, aiming to seriously hurt the young girl's right arm. Quickly pulling back his left leg, Shiro jumped up, throwing his right leg with equal force towards the Saiyan girl's head. "Let's enjoy this while we're at it," Shiro said with a grin on his face. He was ready to show that little girl what he was worth.

Things were quickly spiraling out of control for the young Saiyan. She had thought too boldly of her own abilities and found herself pushed into a defensive corner. That was one place in a battle that no warrior wished to be in. After all, even the best defense could and would crumble after enough punishment. And soon enough, Maragai found her own defense shattering beneath Shiro's unrelenting assault. Thankfully, his blows didn't hurt as much as they had before. It seemed that he had weakened substantially somehow. Either that, or Maragai had powered up. Perhaps it was Je'sheln's doing? The Saiyan was unsure. But even though the power gap between the two combatants had all but closed, Maragai had to grit her teeth and ignore the pain. After blocking her precise strike to the kidney, Shiro had picked his own speed up to a point where Maragai couldn't even see him. As such, she was unable to see the strike. But she did know that her abdomen hurt. A lot. It felt as if she had been hit by a bowling ball. The force was enough to topple the small child and bring her to her knees. Street lights flickered on, causing the Saiyan to glanced back up. It was nighttime already? Time seemed to fly when someone was battling. Thankfully, that small detail that Maragai payed attention to was enough to save her from another attack. But in her current position, (not a very good one, mind you) the only thing she was able to do was bring her arms in front of her and allow them to take the blow. It caused her to reel backwards almost uncontrollably. After a few precious seconds, the Saiyan managed to control herself and slide back up to her feet. Crimson blood dripped from the corner of her mouth; Maragai brushed it away and spat out a wad of blood. “If you want to keep going, then that's fine by me,” she told her opponent. There was a dangerous look in her ebony eyes. “But I won't go easy on you anymore!” she vowed. She was unsure if Shiro heard her. After all, the teen was rushing forward again, aiming a powerful kick at her arm. Maragai found the tactic odd – all she had to do was tighten the muscles in her arm to lessen the blow's damage. But she wasn't about to complain. If he wanted to waste a blow's damage, that was his problem. But the next kick damn near knocked her senseless. Her head seemed to ring as she was sent skidding away like a rag doll. With a groan, Maragai wrenched her eyes open. The pale moon hung in the sky gracefully. The Saiyan felt drawn to it's dim luminescence. Something about it seemed peaceful – as if she could forget about the entire misunderstanding battle and melt herself into the view. STOP! Je'sheln's voice blasted in Maragai's mind so loudly that the Saiyan thought she would go deaf. Which was odd, considering- Look away! The wolf's voice was urgent. Very urgent. At first, Maragai wasn't sure why she shouldn't look at the moon. She had completely ignored whatever Shiro had said last. The view was just that peaceful. But at the same time, something within her began to change. The girl's pupils vanished, leaving behind only a white background. Her chest rose and fell swiftly, as if she were taking massive breaths of air. If the girl could have screamed, she would have. After all, there was a fierce pain when one's bones were growing one hundred fold over. Ebony fur sprouted from her as she continued to grow in size. And whatever consciousness she had had trickled away into nothingness. No! Je'sheln's voice was desperate. Control the instinct! But her words were lost to the giant ape within. Soon, the Oozoru had picked herself off of the ground. The three fighters in the air had stopped their war and looked at her in terror before fleeing. Even Blackheart had bailed, leaving the monster loose with Shiro. And the ape only wanted Shiro. It was he that had hurt her. And it was he that would pay. With a tremendous roar, the ape picked up her foot and aimed to squash her foe into the ground like the ant he was. The killing instinct had taken over.

Well, it appeared his attacks finally hit home, though somehow Shiro did feel guilty when he saw the little girl being thrown aside painfully by his hard kick from the right. She seemed hurt by that kick, as she wasn't coming back up. But a few moments later, something happened which he should've known. It had already turned night and worse; it happened to be quite a full moon. A sudden surge in power made Shiro cringe while he saw the moon, followed by all the others running away scared to death. "What the...Fuck!" T,he young man yelled completely overwhelmed by what he was witnessing. The saiyan girl was turning into one big ape-like monster of epic proportions. This was something quite unexpected, that was one of those things he didn't know about the saiyan race. "Well I'll be damned. This...I wasn't expecting." He had to react quite fast if he didn't want to be squished by a giant monkey's foot. With only time to inhale, Shiro made a record jump backwards, assisting his jump with his ability of flight. The force of the foot crashing down on the street, pushed the young man through the air like a ragdoll, with only luck and a great deal of skill helping him to evade a lantern in the process, only to crash into a building half a second later. "Oops, sorry people," Shiro said, while he realized he had just barged into a young couple's bedroom. " Do excuse me for a moment." A fair moment later, the highschool kid jumped out of the window, charing at the oblivious ape with all the speed he could muster, trying to perform a flying punch against the giant monkey's snout. "I reckon there's no use in that, but I'll keep trying," The young man sighed, while taking off his eyepatch and revealing his golden, inhumanly glowing eye. While doing this, his power rose to the maximum he had, incomparable to the girl-gorilla, but better than nothing at all. With ligh blue energy swirling around him, the young man tried to act as a speeding bullet towards the massive creature's stomach, hoping to at least do something to the beast. While he rushed towards the beast, his eye caught on to something, a sparkle of light deep within the beast, but whatever it was, he could not determin nor describe the origin of the light.

“Gwaaarrrrr!” The Oozoru roared as Shrio's fist crashed against her large snout. No, the attack hadn't been particularly painful; after all, the power difference between them had increased almost by two-fold. Still yet, it made the giant ape take a step backwards. Her boot hovered precariously over a car for a moment before coming down on top of it. Thankfully, there was nobody inside. At least, Maragai would have been thankful. Frankly, the Oozoru didn't give a flying shit about collateral damage. With a furry hand, the monster rubbed at her snout while glaring at Shiro with hate-filled and glowing red eyes. Who was this insignificant creature? Did he dare attack the predator? Was it stupidity or ignorance that led the teen to attack again? The ape wasn't sure. But she did know that such an act would not go unpunished. ”The Oozoru?” Maragai repeated, glancing at her father curiously. Of course, she had heard of the transformation. There were two requirements for the feral transformation. There had to be a full moon and the Saiyan had to have their tail. “Yes,” her father said, reclining back in his chair. “The Oozoru. It doesn't give a Saiyan nearly the power of a Super Saiyan, mind you.” “And for good reason.” Maragai jumped slightly as her mother entered the room. She was drying her hair off with a towel. The scent of lilac wafted from her skin. “That transformation is nothing but trouble.” “She never got around to mastering it,” Omega leaned forward to whisper playfully. “So she's a bit biased about it- Ow!” His last word came out as a yell when Blackfire smacked him across the head. “Why would I bother?” she snapped. “I don't have a tail” “Sheesh, take a joke, would you?” Maragai snickered at her parents' exchange. She knew that her mother wasn't actually mad. If she had been, her father would have been sent through the wall. “You said it doesn't provide as much power as the Super Saiyan transformation,” Maragai prompted her father, eager to learn more about the subject. “So what does it do?” Omega rubbed the back of his head, casting a snide gaze at Blackfire. But the female had already left the room. “Well, another title for it is the 'Great Ape.' As the name suggests... you turn into a giant ape.” Maragai tilted her head to the side. “What?” Omega sighed. “Perhaps it's better to show you. Come with me.” “I hope you aren't going to make her transform!” Maragai heard her mother call from the main chamber. “Of course not,” Omega huffed. “What do you take me for? She'd wreck the whole planet unless I removed her tail.” A deep and throaty growl came from the behemoth as she stepped forward. The ape knew only one thing. It was kill or be killed. Unlike common misconception, the creature was smart. Astonishing so, in fact. But its intelligence came solely from instinct. And with a sharp instinct, the Oozoru made for a very efficient killing machine. It knew that it could muscle through small attacks. There was no need for defense. The best defense was a strong offense. Its titanic form could take a blunt attack better than the most immovable object. Speaking of blunt attacks- The gnat was flying towards her once more. This pleased the predictor. After all, she could conserve energy this way and just smack the teen down. She opened her maw dangerously, revealing razor-sharp teeth. With a single lash of her gigantic tail, the Oozoru leveled a building behind her. Just as Shiro came within range, the ape surged forward at an impressive speed considering her great size. With a precise move, the ape aimed to pluck the small form out of the air. With her large hands, it proved to be a fun task in itself. Sure, her foe was faster than her. But she was larger. Much larger. And that counted for something. But with that maneuver, the creature tried to crush the small form between her two hands. Crush. Until bones shattered. Until organs ruptured. No matter how hard or quick the gnat would struggle to escape, the ape would pursue and aim to capture once more. She was the predator. Shiro was the prey.
