{Champion 1, Saiyan Gains} The bright summer sun shone down on Korin tower. The vast disc-like platform that was Kami's lookout was bathed in the aura of the fiery on above. The white marble tiles seemed as if they have off their own light in their pristine state. A figure stood in the middle of the platform and admired just how well the man Popo took care of the place. It was amazing how it seemed he always had something to do, some chore to accomplish and still he aided in the training of Kami's students. The saiyan smiled at the thought of it as he looked up at the sun. He enjoyed Earth, it was simple. There was only one sun and one moon to worry about, there was a wide array of climates, ad for the most part it's people seemed good natured enough. True that if you looked hard enough you could always find a bad apple. At the thought the monster inside of him growled a bit, as if taunting him that there was potential for a bad apple to be born from him. He shook away the thought and focused instead on the beauty all around him. He had made a promise to himself to try his hardest to take a moment to enjoy life and not focus on just how quickly everything could go to hell. He took a deep breath through his nose and let out a sigh to release it all. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to be lost in the feeling of warmth that engulfed his body from the bright star in the sky. He felt himself walking toward the edge of the lookout, soon feeling it with his toes. He relaxed his entire body and allowed gravity to pill him forward and over the edge before he began to free fall faster and faster toward the ground below. He could feel his heart in his throat with the exhilaration of his plummet. Just before he hit the ground he opened his eyes and pulled up hard, leaving behind a trail of blue green ki. He let his body go where it would, flying with no true destination. In the back if his mind though he remained alert for any possible threats nearby. It was when he was over a rather arid patch of land that he picked up a blip of energy nearby. He quickly pulled to a halt and landed softly atop one I of the many steppes nearby. He looked around to see that there were other rock formations like the one he was on and that they were seperated by a series of canyons like a million cracks. He could sense the newcomer but didnt recognize the signature. It was stronger than most he had met and might deem to be a decent challenge if it came to a fight. He drew the Hero's sword an filled the silence with steel on leather. He held the sword at the ready and waited to see jut what was coming his way. ---------- WC: 511 TWC: 511 Actions 1: Wait 2: Drop Weighted gear (not RP'd) 3: Blademaster Stance

[Champ I and Battle Recorder] It was boiling out. The sun's rays beat down on the poor planet Earth, its summer blaze making the air muggy and damn near unbearable. It didn't help that it was mid-day, right when it was hottest out. A wise person would find a body of water and soak in it for the rest of the afternoon. But Chishan was on a mission. He soared through the air, his orange aura pulsing around him as he did so. He had just come from Roshi's Island, having spent his day off with his former master catching up. It had been a pleasant engagement, telling the tales of his journeys on Maverick, Yaidrat, Vegeta and the Next Dimension. The Turtle Hermit had insisted that the Saiyan Inferno come back to stay on the island and study under his tutelage again. While he had agreed that he would be back sooner than later, he told of his important commitment to Kami. The lookout was almost entirely repaired. Though the guardian of Earth had insisted that Mr Popo needed assistance with the repairs, he had failed to mention that the onyx skinned man was a genie with phenomenal cosmic power. He used his magic to mold and forge the marble palace back into place. Chishan and his brother Apio were generally asked to remove rubble. It wasn't a glorious job...but it was something. As he crossed over a large sand-filled patch of land, his scouter beeped loudly. His brown pupils snapped to the lens, reading as it defined a location of a massive power level. Someone quite strong and quite familiar. "Strega." Chishan said, smirking. He had already worked with the sword-wielding saiyan with his mission previous, so he was aware of his particular ki signature. But this wasn't an unexpected meeting; the Amnesiac Saiyan had challenged the man to a friendly one on one match after their completed mission. Looks like that time was now. His body arched hard to the left, now gaining speed as he raced towards the challenger. Within seconds, he saw the form of a person standing on a rather large rock formation. The land below was filled with large gorges and valleys, splintering out in all directions for miles. Wherever this was, it was in the midst of a terribly drought. He came down hard on the opposing steppe; his body coming to a kneeling position as the ground cracked and cratered from the force of his landing. He snapped his head up, still grinning as he locked eyes with the other saiyan. "Nice to see you again, Strega. Looks like fate has found it convenient to stick us together. So let's get this started then." He said, as friendly as a competitor can greet one's foe. His pack dropped to his feet and his hands dug in for his battle equipment. Within seconds, a pair of gloves and his Damaskian armor emerged from the bag to be swiftly placed in their designated spots. As he slipped on the gloves, he could feel the icy touch nip at his skin, like drops of snowflakes. His armor snapped into place snugly. He was ready. "Let's have some fun then." It was the last thing he said before he leapt off the rock he stood on, spraying shards of the boulder behind him. He crossed the canyon between them in a flash and came down hard in front of the man, ready with his sword. His fists shot forward, a one-two combo of front punches to the man's sternum. As his hands pulled back, his right leg snapped up viciously for the man's left side. Upon pulling back that limb, he snapped forward again with three more front punches, all for the stomach. Brawn vs steel would rule this battlefield.

The tip of his sword remained perfectly still as he expanded his mind and felt as the unknown source closed in. He reached out to get a better awareness of what it was closing in on him and why. The more he focused though the more he started to feel as if he had met this source before. It wasn't one he was quite familiar with but he was glad at least that the possibility of a true threat was diminished. The darkness broiled within him at the thought of threats. It took pleasure in the idea of Strega's demise. It was still nowhere near powerful enough to topple the saiyans will but if another were to break his body then the spirit would be all the weaker. Strega gritted his teeth and mentally stomped down the vile being within and forced it back into its spiritual cage. He would not give it the chance to break through and portray itself as a companion to be leaned upon. He had done that once before and he coul still feel the warmth of his enemies blood on his hands. The sudden arrival of his would be opponent quickl snapped him out of his internal conflicts. The warrior landed with little grace, instead choosing to create a small crater with his force and give the impression of intimidation. Strega smirked wryly at the newly arrive saiyan before him. He had just recently met this one and it seemed that his saiyan heritage was in more than just blood. He could already tell just by that small entrance that he wasn't the type to hold back. "It's Chishan, right? I suppose that means you're here to make good on your challenge." The halfbreed said with confidence. He watched as his fellow saiyan reached into a bag and prepared himself for combat. He smirked slightly at the thought of it a wondered if he wasn't a halfbreed I there would be enough confidence that he wouldn't be attacked in his moment of preparation. Perhaps that wasn't how saiyans treated pure bloods though. He had only really socialized with others when he was a recruit and even then he was merely a joke to them. He surprised them though by surviving all the suicide missions and surpassing most of them exponentially. Now this would be the first pure blood he faced in awhile aside from Broli. He got the feeling that this saiyan was not one of those that held back. Aside from that he sensed there was something more to this challenge than a simple friendly bout. He got the feeling it had something to do with his recent connection with the girl Levana. It seemed that Chishan had some sort of history with her and because if that had taken a keener interest in him. Of course if he truly wanted to know he could read the others mind but he preferred not to meddle in such a way. Combat woul reveal the truth anyway, it was one of the few honest things in life. He watched his opponent complete his preparations and mention something about having some fun. He could hear the faintest bit of malice in the others voice when it was said and his doubts about this being a skill check were confirmed. He was going to have to give this battle his all, but as they were at the very least amiable he didn't intend to inflict any permanent damage. "Show me what you've got!" Came his usual challenge. The saiyan leaped forward from his place on the opposing rock and closed the distance between the two of them. The stone that had been the others resting place became a mangled mess of rock as its former occupant pushed off with force. The saiyan came at him with fists even through the danger of a sword, that was admirable. But as the punches came in Strega's sword came up ad to te side in order to use the flat of the blade to divert the blows away from his body to the left as he spun an brought his right foot up and aimed directly for the challengers head. In the midst of his strike he resheathed his blade in favor of fists. Before he could determine the success of his retaliatory strike an image of a kick flashed before his eyes and he was forced to pitch again and roll out of the way of the powerful blow. The other warrior did not let up there though and as soon as he was back to his feet he felt three fast punches to his gut. He exhaled and tightened his muscles to absorb the shock of the hit and press on. He smirked at his kin in a way that said it was his turn now. He unleashed two quick jabs towarbhis opponents face, the second of which changed into a right back fist before he spun and aimed a powerful left kick for Chishan's right rib cage. He wouldn't stop there but instead would finish by swooping his right leg up and around to aim an axe kick for the right collar bone. The half blood would find out just what kind of fighter this man was. ------------- WC: 880 TWC: 1391 Actions Free: Blademaster Counter a4 Free: Telepathy dodge mkII 1 Free: Take MKII 2 1: QA x2 punch 2: SA back fist 3: SA kick 4: SA axe kick |

Strega was a seasoned warrior and his tactics proved it. As the Saiyan Inferno's first strikes dove towards him, they met the hard siding of the fairly large sword. He didn't disrespect those who fought with weapons; quite the opposite in fact, he was often amazed at the talent fighters had with their armaments. He didn't have the time to voice his reverence though as the man pushed his fists away with the hard metal surface and directed a kick at his head. It crashed hard into his temple, causing his eye to wince in pain. He stumbled only slightly, catching himself long enough to launch his next kick. But Strega rolled over with ease, as if he had known it was coming. Battle prowess, Chishan told himself. His final flurry managed to catch the man in the stomach, though it only seemed to encourage the man to retaliate. And retaliate he did. Two jabs came in, striking him in the cheek and chin. He winced again slightly, his jaw tensing up to deal with the pain. But he managed to see right hand come back towards him in a back fist and reacted in kind, his own right mitt coming up to block the strike at the wrist. A flurry of motion caught his eye but he wasn't fast enough to see the kick crashing into his right side. The blow shook his torso and ripped tendrils of agony through his veins. But still he held firm and as the right leg rose and fell towards his collar bone, he snapped his arms up and crossed them, catching the strike at the heel. As the two warriors separated, Chishan let out a loud breath, releasing all as much pain as he could. He flashed a grin at the man opposing him. "You know, I knew you were strong. But feeling it is quite different than sensing it." He said, rolling his right shoulder to stretch out the sore ribs below. "So you and Levana are quite friendly...I'm glad she's found someone as good as you. I know it seems strange to assume as much but...I've got a kind of sense for these things. You seem inherently good. It's nice to know that I'm not the only saiyan in the universe who's not a total barbarian." He chuckled. "Anyway, I must be boring you. We can talk and fight at the same time." And as the words left his mouth, he snapped forward again. His body lurched into the air and his feet came together as he directed a dropkick for the man's sternum. Label it barbaric or not, Chishan wanted to see more of this man's veteran style.

The saiyan warrior was not unskilled, and he was thankful that he was able to accomplish his retaliation to set the tone for their battle. The first strike was landed when the halfbreeds foot sliced through the air like a hot knife through butter and connected hard with his opponents temple. He rolled with the strike and wa thankful for his sixth sense as the other recovered quickly and managed to continue his assault. Strega rolled under the kick and after taking some lumps of his own went on the offensive. Hi heart races with the thrill of battle and with every successful strike his saiyan pride swelled. He might not have been a pure blood but the saiyans battle lust was so strong that wen the tiniest amount with you was enough to full an all out battle royal. He felt the clash of flesh as his fists plowed into the challengers face and he felt the jarring of his arm when it was stopped short of its destination. He used the moment though to land a hard kick through which he could feel the fighters body respond to the pain. Yet it was not enough to warrant a stop yet and he was glad to see the saiyan could still respond when his heel was stopped as well. They separated and Strega looked at the other once more. He had seen him before but this wa the first that he could truly see him. It was more than physical but also spiritual. There was never a more honest judgement of a person than when they were in combat. There was no trickery, no way to mask your true self when you were put to the task. Through combat he could learn more about this man than any amount of prolonged conversation. He smiled at the comment about his strength hitting and his hand went to his abdomen, feeling the burn of the strikes that had landed. When he brought up Levana the demonic one blushes bet so slightly. He was a seasoned veteran in combat but when it came to women he was not so much. "You are a strong fighter as well. I had a feeling there was something more to this than just a friendly match. I wasn't sure what exactly you were to Levana though. I assure you I have no ill intentions, and I understand. I can tell you have a light within you as well. Although in not so sure about the saiyan part. I'm no pure blood." He smiled as the warrior came at him once more and quickly he disappeared from sight only to reappear directly behind his foe and attempt to catch him by the collar and slam him into the ground. He followed with another and finished off with four punches. He was just getting warmed up and he wondered what the fighter would do next. ------ WC: 487 TWC: 1878 Actions 1: talk 2: Counter a4 SA slam 3: SA kick 4: QA x2 punches T: QA x 2 punches After Bonus PL 102,406 / 136,542 Ki 51,203 / 68,271 STR 17,085 SPD 14,622 TOU 21,727 STA 16,506 VIT 14,898 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
This man was honorable. Chishan could tell just from the way he spoke, the words he chose. He barely knew him but he still trusted him in this battle...and with his friend. His body lifted into the air and his feet stretched out, keen to strike the man in the chest... But he vanished. He felt the tug on his collar and with absolutely no control over his air-borne body, he came crashing down into the rock surface below. His body imprinted into the hard stone, like a snow angel...but in a boulder. Snow would have been so much softer. He grunted as his body came to rest inside the brown earth underneath him. His right eye snapped open in time to see the kick coming down at him. His right arm pulled itself free from the pebbles and stone and shot up to catch the shin with his forearm. The strike shook the bones in his right appendage but he had diverted the strike from hitting him square in the side of the face. But with his arms spread out, it left his sternum wide open for the four quick punches. His torso absorbed the strikes, causing the Saiyan Inferno's teeth to chatter despite them being clenched together. As the man backed off again, Chishan curled his legs up and kip-upped back onto his feet. But as he landed, he could feel the hard aching in his body. He was starting to feel the ramifications of the attacks, even if they dulled after a few moments of rest. He took a deep breath in, pushing away the pain to the back of his mind. "Pure blood or not, it doesn't matter to me. I judge a person by their strength and determination, not their background." He quipped. "And something tells me this battle has only begun to ramp up." As he spoke, he unhooked the grenade from his belt and lobbed it gently at the man's feet. If he was going to keep up with someone as quick and powerful as Strega, he needed to even the field of battle. He didn't wait for the device before launching into another attack. His fists lurched forward, three quick thrust punches for the man's gut once again. His arms kept moving, pumping forward like pistons as he raised his target to the man's face; three more front punches whipping forward. A thought boiled in the back of his mind. But he had to see more from this warrior before he took it seriously...

He had to laugh somewhat at the success of his tactic. It was rather comical to see a full grown man embedded into the stone after an attack suh as that but he couldn't let up just yet. He could tell that one such as this would not be won over by going easy on him and that he would receive no leniency to the contrary. He could sense that Chishan had the passion and drive of a saiyan and to hold back against him would be an insult. His kick was blocked and he felt his leg vibrate with the force of the two limbs colliding. The block left an opening though and he took the opportunity to pepper his fellow saiyan with a series of punches. He pulled back then and allowed a lull in the combat so that his opponent could get back up. It didn't take long for this to happen and in an instant Chishan was back up on his feet. It was nice to hear a pure blood talking about the true value of a warrior and not just about being pure. Perhaps his opinion of the saiyans wasn't entirely true. But even Chishan had mentioned most are barbarians. It seemed they were the exception and not the rule. He wished there had been more like this one when he was still a recruit on Valhalla. Perhaps things in the galaxy wouldn't be so tense if more of their brethren had the same mentality. But this was wishful thinking and it wouldn't get them anywhere. He realized he had me himself stray from battle, a rookie mistake, and he would pay for it. He herd the comment about ramping up as if from a distance but he saw the mechanical rock coming at him. He did his best to shield his face but it was to no avail. The grenade went off and blinded him momentarily. He stumbled backwards in response and he felt as he was pelted with punches in the abdomen and face. His body and head snapped from side to side with each hit and on the final strike he was thrown back and found himself looking up at the sky. He had made a mistake. He had been foolish. He had not been focused. That changed right now. His saiyan pride boiled and raged within him. He would show this challenger that he was not to be trifled with. He was a warrior! He would make this foe pay for every hit he had landed a then some. He growled deep in his cheat and he could feel the demon within surge ever so slightly. "Shut the hell up!" He commanded the beast within his mind. He kip-upped back to his feet and his demeanor had changed. He stared down his new fried with a wry grin. "Not bad. But you know I can't let that stand. Lets end this fight." He said with a growl in his voice. He wasn't giving of a malicious vibe, but he had finally gotten serious about this battle. He was sure the other understood. Their pride was great and when it came to shows of force it was a constant rivalry. His aura ignited suddenly and his power level spiked. His grin not grew before he launched forward with all of his might directly for his opponent. He threw out an elbow, aimed for the others face. He wouldn't stop there before throwing a heavy punch to the gut and kicking toward the abdomen in hopes to launch his prey into the sky. If it succeeded he would immediately take off after the quarry and Attempt to back hand him across the face and land another strong punch to the gut again before a spin kick to launch him away again. He would keep close the whole time ad follow. Once he was in range again he would soon and unleash a wicked backfist that would hopefully send him earthward again. Before he could make sense of anything he would charge up his ki and unleash a beam that would hopefully bury him further into the ground. He was unsure how this would all play out but afterward he would remain in the heavens, breathing heavily and hoping his opponent would be wise enough to quit while he was ahead. --------- WC: 727 TWC: 2,605 Actions 1: Dyne power up 2-4: Burst Rush Ki Used: 2.3% After Bonus PL 150,196 / 150,196 Ki 73,371 / 75,098 STR 18,793 SPD 16,084 TOU 23,899 STA 18,156 VIT 16,387 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
His attack combo was a success and he sent the man flying onto his back. The Saiyan Inferno took a deep breath as he awaited the man to rise. And rise he did, quickly and mirroring his own movements not moments ago. But something had changed in his eyes, some glimmer of something was hidden in them... Chishan narrowed his eyes as he stared, listening quietly as the man promised a quick end to their bout. There's something about the way this man is glaring at me and that the tiny growling inflection in his voice. He isn't angry at me...but he's angry at someone. Himself? Or maybe...something else. The thought struck him like lightning. He too had suffered from the machinations from a demonic presence inside his mind; mocking him, berating him, trying its hardest to take over. It was more than likely that others had suffered from the same dreadful fate he had. He got so caught up in his mind that only the flash of the man's aura pulled him from the daze. And by the time he saw that, it was far too late to defend. But his scouter beeped loudly, analyzing the move and beginning a recording. A little red light appeared in the corner of the lens as Strega shot forward. The elbow hit him hard, cracking hard between his eyebrows. As his eyes winced shut, a fist driving into his gut to knock the air out of him and a kick that sent him spiraling into the air. As his body twisted, the back of a hand crashed against his cheek, dazing him further. Then another gut punch preceding a kick that sent him sailing off in another direction. Pain burned through his face and his torso as he flew through the air by the other's devices. He heard the screech of movement and another back fist hit his other cheek, pitting him towards his final destination. His body crashed once again into stone, driving further into the boulder. A flash of light and a beam followed after him and erupted inside it, exploding shards of the former rock in all directions. As quickly as the detonation had appeared, it disappeared. Smoke wisps danced in the air as pebbles fell from the sky, finally coming down to the earth after gravity caught them in her strong grip. A shadow lay on the ground, unmoving and covered in dirt. A finger twitched suddenly, then all of the fingers. They curled into a fist and a loud groan escaped the saiyan's mouth. He forced himself to his feet, bruises and scratches covering his bare arms. He wobbled slightly when he finally stood straight but he caught himself and held strong. Determination burned in his eyes. "Alright then. So we're playing for real now." He muttered as he smacked his closed fists together hard. As the frozen gloves clashed knuckles, he transformed in a brilliant show of yellow and white light. When the flash dissipated, there stood the Silver Hope of the Kais surrounded by a yellow aura. His hair was pointed and stiff, wavering gently in the flow of the air and ki dispersal. His silver pupils moved slowly from the center of his eyes to the corner, staring at the still floating Strega. "Here we go then." He said softly before rocketing off the ground, embracing the enhanced flight ability he had learned on Yaidrat. He soared through the airstream, aiming for a head-on collision with the opponent. But at the last second, he twisted his body and raised his leg out, aiming for the man's torso. Connection or not, he continued flying up and past him for a few meters before turning sharply back towards him. He repeated almost the exact same thing, this time with the kick aimed for Strega's shoulder blades. He curved his flight upwards and circled around like a plane at an airshow and once again attacked, a final knee for the man's right arm. He dropped hard to the ground, creating a small crater as he landed in a crouched position. He held up his right hand, with his thumb, index and middle fingers stretched out. He looked back over his shoulder. "Det-" He said, dropping the middle finger and a loud explosion resounded. "-O-" Another finger. Another detonation. "-Nate." The thumb curled in as the third and final blast tore through the air. Wind whipped as his glowing body but he stood firm, glaring through the smoke at where Strega had just been. Ready for the inevitable counterattack.

The demonic saiyan lifted off the ground and allowed himself to become completely enveloped by the saiyan spirit. He was entirely unaware that very move he made was being recorded and calculated for a later date. Instead he allowed his mind to release and rely on muscle memory and twitch reactions. At this level of combat trying to over think things could quickly mean ones demise. Instead he went with the flow, allowing his body to move almost autonomously, not even processing what he planned to do before it went into action. He could feel every connection of his strikes with their target. He could sense that what he was doing took te other completely off guard and that he had not been prepared for something such a this. It wasn't until he was looking down from the air upon his foe that he was able to take stock of what had happened. He could see the form of chishan below buried in the rubble of what used to be a natural rock formation. His blast had demolished the plateau and left his opponent in pain under the load. He had to think about the fact that not that long ago he wouldn't be able to cause such damage with even his strongest attack, but now here he was and one of the simplest forms of attack had created all of this. It was a testament to just how far he had come. He was forced to return his attention to the present when he saw movement below. He wa glad to see that he had not been too rough on the potential new friend. In fact he was sure that the saiyan inside of him would only be able to be impressed by the intensity of their battle. Yet e coul sense that it was far from over. The saiyan's power level suddenly spiked and reached a level that came quite close to his even in such a heightened state. This was good, there was still a challenge here and it would come down to skill over strength. He had no intentions of altering his state for the moment, instead he would see how he faired now. The altered one came at him with renewed vigor and more speed than he had expected. He was taken by surprise and when the kick came into his torso he did his bea to absorb the hit. Beore he could recover another strike hinhim between the shoulder blades and sent him forward a ways. When there was a gap he saw the next strike coming in his minds eye ad quickly performed some aerial acrobatics to avoid. It seemed though that the other fighter was pleased with his hits and when Strega saw wht he was doing and heard the words he braved himself as best he could. The air was ripped apart by the force of the ki explosions that rocked his body. He was sent hurtling back to the ground where he landed with enough force to dent the stone and fill the air with a cloud of dust. He had not been expecting such an stack but he wouldn't let it happen again. He dusted himself off and chuckled a little at the circumstances. This was proving to be more fun than he hoped. He sensed the presence of his opponent due to the cloud obscuring his vision and decided to take advantage of the situation. His energy levels spiked again as he focused his ki and willed it to begin gathering in each hand. He was forced to release the strain in a loud battle cry. "Aah, aah, aah!" With each release of breath his ki compacted and built. It was only a short moment before he was ready to release his strike. He held his right hand with fingers splayed and his palm toward the source of his opponents energy. The dust cloud took on a hint of teal as the ki offered backlighting. At the same time he held his left hand in the same way but out to the side. He released two identical beams of energy, one aiming to take the for head on, the second going out before he willed it to bend around and flank his enemy. The cloud of smoke lit up in its deepest layers, a sea-green hue flashing through the dense fog. The color reflected in the Saiyan Inferno's eyes, causing him to narrow them. His scouter beeped furiously, warning him of the growing amounts of energy. He turned around slowly as Strega forced more and more energy into his attack. I wonder if this is his own choice or perhaps the underlying darkness in him, he wondered as let his arms tense up at his sides. Within seconds of the departing thought, the miasma tore apart as the two teal colored beams split it down the middle. His fists tightened, audibly cracking. As the two thin lines of energy danced across the wind towards him, he made his move. As they crashed into him, his afterimage shattered into lines. He reappeared behind the man, his feet clacking on the ground. As soon as he fully reappeared, his right hand thrust forward and targeted the man's back with his palm. His golden aura sprouted to life again and began to furiously pulse around him, going into overdrive. A ball of energy began to build in the palm of his hand. With a silent grunt, he forced more energy into his attack. His visible ki dispersal curled into an orb around him, swirling around him like a domed tornado. His lips parted, baring his teeth as he pushed the limits of the energy in his attack even further. The ground under his feet cracked and floated into the air around him, exploding into pebbles as it entered the swirling globe of ki. Like a timer on an over, he felt the completion of his surge. His fingers jerked backwards as the Heat Dome unleashed itself from around him, the beam exploding out of not just his hand but his entire golden aura. The brilliant yellow beam tore a gorge in the land underneath it as burned through the air, targeting Strega's back. With any luck, it would prove to this man that Chishan was not one to underestimate.

The twin beams of energy cut through the thick smoke with incredible speeds, both hurtling towards the intended target in their own unique way. He had intended for the first of the two to be a distraction while the second came around to his opponents right side and took him by surprise, but it seemed that his ploy would not go according to plan. The second beam arced around to bear on his foe but it seemed he had more battle prowess than that. The saiyan noticed the tactic and at just the right moment he disappeared from sight, forcing the two streams to plow into one another and leave a massive crater where there had once been ground. Strega thought for a moment he had seen a strange sort of contemplation on the others face. As if he was trying to judge exactly what was meant by each attack. He wondered himself if his intensity was coming off as intent to harm. He was merely taking the competition seriously. At first it seemed just a way to get to know one another but now it seemed as if this was more of a test. The half tee had assumed there was more to it originally and free hearing him speak if Levana it seemed he was trying to judge his character. Now perhaps though he was intending to get the point across that he would protect her and if he were to do anything to hurt her he would have to face him. Although there was an ancient evil living within him he had absolutely no desire to harm anyone or string someone along. He had only good will in his heart and he was constantly doing whatever was required to keep that evil locked deep down and eventually he hoped to be rid of it. But he was still a saiyan and his pride refused to let him back down from this fight. He would prove himself to Chishan. Not only would he prove he was a warrior of light, but also that he had the capacity to defend himself and any others that he cared for. He could take whatever was thrown at him and if he couldn't he would make the ultimate sacrifice to protect others. When the pure blood reappeared behind him Strega sensed him before he saw him. Although it only happened in the matter of a second it seemed an eternity. He saw the out thrust hand with splayed fingers and the intense look in his eyes. He felt the spike in his foe's energy. He could hear the rush of the wind around them. He could even taste the iron in the air as the ki gathered. It was true that he had the capacity to mimic what his friend had just done but he wanted to prove a point, he wouldn't back down. Instead he just looked over his shoulder with a smile on his face. His eyes, full of determination and passion, met Chishan's. He was a vessel for an evil spirit. He was a saiyan. He was a warrior. He was a believer. He was an outcast. He had the potential to bring destruction if he failed in his struggles. He had the potential to bring great things if he succeeded. He was many things. But one thing he was not was a coward. At the last moment he turned his body to face the challenger and instead of try and avoid or retaliate he braced himself. When the beam released he didn't defend openly or cry out. Instead he merely moved his body in such a way that few had the capacity to do. He allowed the ki to flow around him and through him. He could feel its burn on his flesh and the impact as it threw him backwards, but it was only a fraction of what he would have experienced if he took the whole attack. The beam slammed him back and into a wall of stone before burying him under the rubble as it crumbled. The earth shook with the force of it all and the sound of the collapse echoed for miles. A great plume of dust reached into the sky like a sorrowful cry. Then, everything was silent. The boulders settled an the shaking stopped and nature itself seemed to quiet in reverence to the destruction. Suddenly, the silence was cut by a loud screech of air around a swift moving object. The boulders erupted in a shower of dust and the halfbreed rocketed for his opponent. He wasn't finished just yet. He moved faster than the eye could see, appearing suddenly to the left of his opponent. His leg cocked back before releasing and aiming hard for the side of his head, his body twisting as e did to try and bury the man into the ground. Whether or not it landed he disappeared again only to reappear in the sky with his hand glowing in bluish light. He thrust them forwards like the dual cannons on a ship, raining a barge of six blasts hoping to pin his temporary enemy down in prep for the finale. He used his senses to track his target, making sure that his attacks would be aimed correctly. To finish it off he extended two fingers and traced an imaginary line over the area, causing it to light up with a massive explosion that would hopefully engulf his prey. He couldn't be certain whether or not his attacks would succeed but he hoped to show that he was serious and just for good measure once the explosions died down he would smirk and say. "Detonate." He knew that the saiyan warrior had tricks up his sleeve and he wondered just how he would react to this. ------------- WC: 971 TWC: 4,328 Ki used: 19.2% Ki remaining: 80.5% Actions Free: maneuvers against a4 1: ST + Dynamite kick (1%) 2: ST + Mastered Energy Dan (7%) 3-4: Bakuhatsuha (11%) (PL: ~187,745) After Bonus PL 150,196 / 150,196 Ki 59,851 / 75,098 STR 18,793 SPD 16,084 TOU 23,899 STA 15,978 VIT 16,387 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
The more he saw of Strega, the more he was impressed with his ability. He took the overpowered beam head on, letting the yellow line of energy flow around his body as if it were water. For a second, Chishan was worried he had put too much into the attack; possibly injuring the man he simply wanted to spar with. The dark form of his opponent's body flung backwards and crashed into the rock wall behind him, leaving an imprint of his stuck-out limbs. The cliff itself collapsed as the super-heated energy melted and carved its way through the thick stone. Within seconds, the rising had been reduced to rubble and stone-dust. A cloud of earthly particles drifted into the air, visible to the naked eye for miles. Alright, maybe that was a little bit too hasty, he pondered as he stared at the hole. The air fell deadly quiet. His shoulders relaxed just a bit and his body called for him to step forward and approach the cavern, hoping to see the man still alive. But the peace was cut short. The rock face erupted and stones of all sizes were flung in all directions as Strega shot forward viciously. The Saiyan Inferno's muscles tensed up, preparing for the retaliation. His highly trained eyes only barely saw the blurred movement of his foe and he had only a fraction of a second to react to the incoming blow. As the warrior reappeared to his left and thrust his leg forward, hoping to catch Chishan in the head, his own image shattered from the calculated strike. He reappeared only meters away, sliding on the dust-covered ground as he hastily dodged the strike. But as he raised his hands and prepared his own counter, Strega disappeared. His scouter beeped loudly from the gathering of energy and as his head snapped up, his eyes locked on to the six orbs of ki barreling down onto him. This time, he had no chance of defense. They exploded around him, crashing into different sections of his body parts and kicking up the rocky surface around him. His jaw was clenched and he stared up through the energy detonations and wisps of thick, gray smoke. His scouter was beeping but the ringing in his ears could barely pick it up. No, he could feel the building of energy. He could smell the sulfur building in the air, the taste of it in the back of his mouth. He once again was out of time. The Bakuhatsuha erupted, like a surprise volcanic upsurge. The ground was vaporized from underneath them and a brilliant light flashed across the land, sending a powerful shockwave in all directions. Brushes were suddenly swept up in the power gusts, pulled into the air and thrown for miles. Plant like ceased to exist. Seemingly, nothing could take the explosion standing. And neither could Chishan. He knew this, having suffered the wrath of this attack from Pan ages ago. In the quickest of tactics, his fingers had found his forehead and transmitted him out of the blast range. As he instantly reappeared high in the air, he could still feel the strength of the draft around him. But he was refocused now. He let his body free-fall downwards, arching his body towards his saiyan foe below him. One thousand feet away; he cocked his right arm back and narrowed his eyes as he targeted Strega. Six hundred feet; his golden aura suddenly began to mix in with a faint red and orange. His fiery core had erupted to join the transformative energy dispersal and blended to create a flaming shield about his body. Three hundred feet; his cushion of flying ki gave him a hard shove, increasing his velocity. As he came within proximity of the dark-haired man, his ready-and-waiting fist launched forward, drenched in glowing orange ki. His target; the man's sternum. With any luck, he would crash against his foe and, using his own swiftness, essentially choke-slam him into the ground. This fight was far from over.

The rush of the air felt good against his skin and for a moment he allowed himself to take pleasure in it and escape from the battle at hand. This had all started as a simple friendly challenge but had quickly turned into a serious endeavor. It was a testament to the skill and dedication of the two fighters that something that wasn't even life or death had become so intense. Neither of them was willing to back down and neither of them was going to hold back. Their friendly competition was the likes that lesser men would have perished from. Now he needed to step up his game and show his opponent that he was once and for all the stronger fighter. He launched a hard kick as soon as he appeared but his fellow saiyan got wise to the attack and managed to put on enough speed that his leg sliced through nothing but air. He caught a glimpse of Chishan reappearing and seemingly preparing to launch a retaliation before he pulled a similar maneuver and reappeared high above to laucn his volley of ki that succeeded in making their target and destroyed much of the land where they landed. It was no matter though for his next attack would completely wipe out a swathe of land several hundred yards long. The trench that formed was seemingly bottomless and there was no telling what would happen if any were to fall into its depths. Fortunately enough, they had met far away from any kind of civilization so the attack was not only possible to be pulled off without danger of harming innocents but there was also almost zero probability that someone might come along randomly and fall victim to this new chasm. Unfortunately, his opponent seemed to know a technique that surpassed even speed teleportation because he didn't even sense the movement but he had somehow managed to get above the possessed one and was quickly closing the gap. He spun around in the air and watched his foes descent and allowed gravity to take hold, free falling swiftly back to the ground below so that he could brace himself for the attack better. As he watched he saw a sudden burst of yellow and red and for a moment thought it might be an attack but then noticed that this was much like the way he was after he transformed the ki attacks that hit him. He did a slip in midair and hit the ground hard with his booted feet, knees bending with the effort of stopping him. He could sense a shift in the way that his opponent was carrying himself. He had managed to find his warrior spirit deep within and the battle had exhilarated him beyond what he was certain even the saiyan inferno knew he was capable of. Meanwhile, Strega could feel the sudden drag that exhaustion threatened to put on him. He needed to do something to even the odds and like a voice in the back of his head he could hear his mother's words reassuring him. She had given him a gift upon their meeting and he had yet to tap into the potential of that gift. He decided there was no time like the present. His aura flared at the same moment the challenger was within striking range. He thrust out his own fist to counter the punch that was coming at him. His knuckles burned with ki and he could feel the heat of the wall of flame that had raised around the other man. His hair flickered with a white light, eventually settling into an almost white blonde. His eyes, which were locked on his foes with a ferocity within them, turned from the usual green to a crystalline blue. His aura grew from teal into a white gold and from his back it seemed as if a pair of wings grew except they were not of the physical realm and merely like an afterimage. In the second of their fists colliding Strega moved swiftly. All of the changes took over his body and those bright blue eyes locked onto the inferno's, never seeming to break contact or look away. He pressed his consciousness forward, willing his temporary enemy to lower his guard, that everything was alright and there was no need to fight any longer. He did his best to maintain this contact and hoped it would succeed as his ki welled up from within, growing beyond what his body could contain in an instant and pushing out in a massive sphere all around him. The energy threatened to envelop the other warrior and he hoped it would push him back and convince him that there was no need to push this any further. --------------- WC: 793 TWC: 5,121 Actions 1: Transform Spiritken (.3%) 2: Counter a4 w/ blast punch (2.3%) 3: hypnosis (.3%) 4: energy charger (.3%) T: nuclear shockwave (16.3%) (PL: w/ hypno success:264,947 w/o:242,237) Ooc: ugh. The desert wasteland rumbled as a far off explosion took to the sky, sending a plume of dirt, dust, stone and energy into the air in an arch of tremendous power. A small roadrunner raced along the shaking ground, its head swiveling to both sides in confusion. It was confused; torn between the natural instinct to find food and the natural instinct to flee the unnatural change in its surroundings. It turned its head sharply to the source of the explosion, a veritable mushroom cloud that painted the azure background of the sky with its inky brown and gray. A slight cock of its head, curious to what it could mean. Perhaps some predator. The thought was enough to send it running in the other direction, resolving that flight was the best answer now. The explosion had dissipated and now Chishan raced towards Strega, his determined retaliation carrying him down through the sky on the same string that gravity had him. As he came within proximity of the man, his ki-infused fist rocked forward in a tremendous front punch, orange energy practically dripping off his forearm and fingers. Much to his surprise, the opposing saiyan launched his own version of the attack. Fist met fist, knuckle smashed knuckle. His fiery aura lapped at Strega's arm, hell-bent on charring portions of his skin. Wind gusted around the Saiyan Inferno and he was yet again surprised to discover that it wasn't from him. No, Strega's body transformed in a brilliant show of bright light. It was glorious to behold, something out of the Holy Book. Prophets wrote of angels descending upon them in comforting streams of silver luminosity, moving the mortals to tears and more. His hair flashed to a silver color, not unlike his own Heavenly-blessed pupils. Speaking of eyes, the once emerald orbs flickered and changed to an ocean blue. The teal aura that battered and swatted at his own gold one morphed into a silvery-gold hue. They hovered in the air for a split second. As each fighter stared back into the other one, Chishan suddenly felt a strange emotion creeping up inside of him. It seemed familiar; not unlike the pale blue spirit that had once beckoned him to flee from battle with Broli. It was calming and he felt his muscles beginning to relax. Let go...it would just be so easy to let it all go. Let it go? That was just as easy as giving up. He shook his head violently, clearing the deceiving haze from his brain. As he did so, his ears suddenly could hear the rapid beeping pulsing through his skull. He suddenly realized that Strega was building energy for an attack; something powerful, something tremendously, dangerously powerful. Without a second to spare, his image shattered. Another explosion rocked the Earth again as the newly transformed warrior unleashed his Nuclear Shockwave. The ground tore from its resting places and disintegrated in the intense heat from the energy growing larger and larger. A plane, currently flying on its way to the northern hemisphere, was rocked by violent winds and was forced to turn away from its destination to avoid balance failure. Crew and passengers alike could see the newly formed mushroom detonation filling the empty sand void. As the attack began to dissipate, Chishan reappeared. His landing was not clean or neat; he stumbled on the ground and fell into a front roll. Dust and pebbles latched onto his bare skin as he continued barreling across the land. Finally he landed on his back and dug his feet into the ground, tearing gorges to slow his velocity. He hit a hard spot and was quickly on his feet again. He staggered a few more feet before finally stopping. "Son of a bitch," He spat out between hard intakes of air. It was the only thing he could think of to express his surprise and frustration. Once again, Strega had pushed the Amnesiac Saiyan to his absolute limits of avoiding damage. This time, it had not gone unsoiled; tendrils of light gray smoke trailed off his body where the edges of the explosion had caught him. After refilling his lungs with a suitable amount of air, he snapped his head back to the man responsible for the attack. He couldn't help it; a small smirk came to his lips. Boy, this fight sure amped up didn't it? he thought as he reached into his pouch. The small green bean lay in his palm when his arm reemerged; a lime boat on a sea of apricot. He brought his hand to his mouth, munching down hard on the provision. All of a sudden, his muscles felt back to their normal strength. His ki pool felt refilled, swirling in his gut and ready for action. He flexed his arms, feeling his power return. He, once again, relocated the man in the air. "Here I come!" He yelled, shoving off the ground hard. He didn't wait to get close; he let his ki cloud surge him forward at a break-neck speed. As he came upon the man, his left leg lashed forward for the man's stomach. He arched downwards and landed in the crater below him, nearly a mile wide now. He snapped his fingers. "Detonate."

Strega could feel the pulse of his new power surging through his body. It was unlike anything he had expected. His mother had given him the briefest of hints as to what he was capable of but he had never dreamed that it might be something as magnificent as this. He felt entirely lighter, his whole body filled with light and for what seemed like the first time in his life he felt free. He could still sense the demonic presence deep within but it cowered in fear, buried beneath whatever protection it could find. It felt better than anything he had imagined. He felt physically stronger for sure but the biggest difference was within. It was the first time since his youth that he had been able to think on his own, to not be concerned about what the darkness inside would do to try and control his actions. Even in his youngest days he had some sense that e wasn't always the reasoning behind his emotions. He was angry, yes, but the darkness drove him into fits of rage where he would completely lose consciousness. He would awaken to find that he had managed to survive yet another serious scrap but he never felt good when he saw the aftermath. It may have saved his life multiple times but there was a price behind each time. He owed a debt and te demon used that as leverage. He pushed aside these thoughts and enjoyed the time alone in his mind. He could feel the extension of his ki through his back as he thrust his arm forth and connected hard with the flaming saiyan inferno. His ki licked at his knuckles, colliding with his opponents as the flames threatened to burn his skin. He ignored the heat and instead focused his mind on lulling a false sense of security into his foe. He could feel the will of the other bend like molten steel before the flame. At the exact moment he felt his mind trick work he wiles his energy up and out, burning a massive crater all around him as the sphere expanded about him. Chishan seemed to snap put of his trance just enough to try to avoid the explosion but he wasn't fast enough and Strega managed to catch him in his attack an had to smile slightly as he saw te warrior reappear and stumble from it before landing had on the ground and having to regain his feet. The battle was taking its toll on the both of them and Strega hoped it was more so on the challenger than the challenged. There was a momentary lull though and he used it to his advantage. His sword slid from its sheath, the blade glowing with energy as it was rough across his chest. The restorative effects seeped into his body and he let out a pleased sigh of relief as the sensation tingled across his body. The blade returned to its scabbard just as the warning of his opponents incoming was shouted nearby. His mind was clearer than it had been in quite some time and he could see the danger coming at him. As the kick sliced though the air he disappeared from sight, forcing the kick to hit nothing but air. He quickly retaliated though and pushed off the broken earth and straight for his target. As he rushed the shattered ground accumulated behind him as if it were subject to his own gravitational pull. He cocked back his arm and unleashed a one two conbo directly or his opponents head. Success or fail he would do an acrobatic flip backwards, just in time for the accumulated rocks and boulders to hurl directly at the saiyan. Some came straight on while others veere off course to come in from the side. By the time the assault finished he landed daintily on his feet and launched himself back to create some distance between them. The battle raged on but he wouldn't give in. ------------- WC: 672 TWC: 5,793 Actions 1: Healing Blade (10.3%ki, +25% damage +10% fatigue) 2: Telepathic Mastery a4 (.3%) 3: QA x2 punches (.3%) 4: Telekinetic Mastery (.3%) Ki used: 11.2% Remaining: 50.1% After Bonus PL 189,248 / 191,916 Ki 47,787 / 95,958 STR 23,250 SPD 20,048 TOU 29,285 STA 21,682 VIT 20,407 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
The man seemed all too eager to take another attack, staying right in his spot as his kick snapped forward like a cobra on a mouse. But as his foot passed through the fleeting afterimage of Strega, Chishan scowled as he had once again been foiled by the man's strange ability to respond almost instantly to attacks. The Saiyan Inferno knew for a fact that the transformation he had witnessed pushed his opponent's speed past his own but to be this ahead of the game... It's supernatural, he thought, the only word that would come to mind as he came down hard in the crater on the ground. He had little time to ponder further; Strega reappeared off to his side and rushed him. And then the saiyan saw something that truly blew his mind. He was trailing rocks and boulders after him. He was literally dragging them behind him through sheer force of will. What the hell kind of trickery is this?! he said, a moment of panic flashing across his face. It was the perfect opening for Strega, as his two fists shot forward and caught Chishan in the each cheek. His flaming aura did the best it could to slow the limbs down but there was no stopping the determination of his foe. The stinging sensations vibrated across his skin and his left eye winced in pain while his jaw clenched up. He stumbled back a step but caught himself, for he knew that was not the worst he was about to deal with. The fractured pieces of their battlefield came upon him, like an unnatural rainfall. If only they were flaming, one might compare the scenario to the seventh plague of Egypt. His off-center balance proved helpful as the first boulder came down towards him, giving the saiyan the opportunity to duck and roll to the right as it smashed into the surface. He came to a crouching position as another stone threatened to crush him. He pushed off the ground and leapt high until his foot connected with the spinning globe of rock. The touch was brief; a mere jumping-off point for the Amnesiac Saiyan as he leapt from the second hazard to face the final one. A long, thin piece of surface. As his feet came upon the ground, he had but a second to react to the object before it cut him in two. He was thrusting into the air again; this time had spread his legs and feet out. His face was mere inches from the soaring surface, feeling pebbles bounce off his sore cheeks and forehead. His legs went up and his hands went down, gripping the surface before pushing off once again. The front handspring took him over the last of the rock and put him in a direct attack path with Strega. He landed hard on the solid ground, his boots kicking up dirt as he charged the man that had moved backwards away from him. Sweat donned his brow but he didn't care, pulling his arms to his side in preparation. When he was in proximity, his hands shot forward, angry vipers attacking the intruders on their nest. Three punches aimed for his face, another three for his sternum. He finished up with three strikes as well; one for each kneecap, with his arms crossing over each other. A final thrust punch to finish up the combo targeted the man's gut. He didn't move away, he didn't create space. He was in this man's world now; determined to keep it a close game for awhile. Gold and silvery-gold auras clashed once again, pawing at each other like two lions fighting over a pride.

The more he fought the more he was growing fond of his new transformation. It was if he was a different person. There was no worry about losing himself to the darkness, no concern over harming the others around him due to the alien within him. He couldn't help but think of Levana at this point. Shortly before their last meeting she had even honest with him an he in turn told her everything about his affliction. It had not gone as well as he hoped and instead chased off the one he was growing fond of. Perhaps it was for the best. He couldn't blame her for fleeing when she learned about the demon within that threatened to rip him apart like some human grenade that would unleash the destruction of the universe. He didn't think that Chishan knew this much about him at least. Never the less he knew that the main idea behind this fight was to gauge him and see if he was worthy as someone so sweet and innocent as the saiyaness. He knew that he wasn't but in his current state he had hope that maybe someday he might be. There was a sliver of hope in his future that he migh be able to one day purge himself of the dark one forever and he would be worthy. For now he would prove he was a warrior and that he had no intention of giving in, he would be the protector. His body moved like water around the blow that was coming like slow motion in his mind. He could see the look of astonishment on his fellow saiyans face as he slipped away from the attack an disappeared in a flash of motion. He was sure that to one who was unaware of his abilities he might seem something unnatural, or perhaps he would merely believe his speed was much more than it truly was. No matter the case he intended to capitalize on the situation. He was once more on his challenger and watched his eyes widen before fists connected with face. He felt the jarring of knuckle on jaw, forcing the other to take a step back in retreat. He had high hopes that the field of debris following hind him would succeed in burying the other warrior, but he was forced to watch with respect as he managed a series of moves that looked like something out of a parkour video. He leaped and flipped and dodged through the storm of stone an came out on the other side without a single scratch on him. It would never be able to be said that Chishan wasn't slick. There wasn't much time to appreciate the moves or share praise, the saiyan was once more upon him like a charging bull. His fists flashed like pistons, aiming all over the body. Strega stayed in sync with him though and gave ground in retreat to allow for a better reaction. The first strikes came for his face and he quickly reacted by bringing his forearms up and twisting them to deflect the blows. He was be easily dissuaded though and another round came for his chest and this time he responded by rolling to the side and throwing a hard kick toward the left rib cage. Still his opponent came and this time aimed for his knees and gut. He slid each leg back, just narrowly avoiding each punch before rocketing one of his knees directly for the aggressor's chin in hopes he might lay him out. He could feel the battle starting to drag on him and he hoped that his opponent might be suffering some of the same symptoms but it seemed he was still determined to press on. He couldn't be certain how he would feel after the next round of attacks but he wouldn't hold back now just in case. He wouldn't stop to hope his counters would be enough and he followed up by focusing his energy, abd summoning an orb into each hand. The globes hovered an inch from his palm, casting his face with shadow from their golden glow. He cocked his arm back and loosed eight softball sized blasts in total, directly for the location of his saiyan foe. He would conclude with that for now, waiting for the haze to clear. ---------- WC: 728 TWC: 6521 Action 1: block a2 (.3%) 2: counter a3 (.3%) 3: counter a4 (.3%) 4: beam ball x4 (2.3% ki) T: beam ball x4 (2.3% ki) Ki used: 5.5% Total remaining: 45.6% After Bonus PL 189,248 / 191,916 Ki 47,787 / 95,958 STR 23,250 SPD 20,048 TOU 29,285 STA 21,682 VIT 20,407 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
Chishan couldn't deny it to himself, as he charged forward in another assault on his opponent. As his feet clacked on the ground, kicking up plumes of dirt that sprayed up around him, his mind thought of his original intention for this bout. This battle had been a test. Strega may have thought one thing when the Saiyan Inferno had challenged him, as both their eyes had drifted to their mutual friend Levana. Chishan had no romantic feelings for the saiyaness and he believed that this man understood that. But she was a dear friend of his; one that had suffered under the machinations of a shadowy cult because of him. Her power was drained, her life was thrown upside down just for knowing the Amnesiac Saiyan and getting close to him. It had weighed on his mind for a long time; the potential turmoil his loved ones could endure because of his past. This sword-wielding warrior had power, far stronger than his own. And he was the first person that Chishan had seen Levana take to in a long time. It wasn't his place to give his blessing; he was neither her father or brother. No, all he needed to know was that this man was capable of protecting her until she regained her lost power. His fists tore through the air, hellbent on bruising the face of his foe. But raised forearms knocked away the weak strikes as if they were flies. Internally, he smiled at the ease this man used in his defenses. As his own hands lashed out to finish the combination, Strega changed tactics on him and rolled out of the way of the attacks before launching a kick to the left side of his torso. He grunted as the foot hit him square; feeling the claws of sudden pain streak through his body. He bit down on his pain and attempt to finish his assault. Three more punches, one more dodge. And suddenly a knee rose and caught him in the chin. The attack pulled him from the ground and he was airborne, stars and waves in his vision. As he tumbled backwards in the air, he saw the dirt-covered ground rushing up to meet his face. His hands rushed above his head and took hold of the surface before it could smash into his head. With push of his legs and arms, he was moving backwards in a back handspring. His feet caught the ground once again, sliding slightly from the full force of his recovery. A shot of pain tore through him as his ribs throbbed, causing his breaths to come in more ragged than they had before. He raised his head to look at Strega... And his face lit up from the eight beam balls heading his way. The first orb caught him in the shoulder, knocking him back a step. The next two crashed into his chest, scarring his already battle-worn armor. The fourth took his other shoulder in a small explosion. But he didn't step back; no, now he was prepared. The next four came rushing in at him, dancing through the air. His hands rose and tangoed with the blasts, open-palming the balls to either side of his body. The four softballs darted off into the distance, disappearing from sight. He panted slightly as he finally managed to catch the eye of his opponent. Btu through his breaths, he managed a small smile. That was the only warning he bore to him. In the next moment, his limbs were moving into attack mode. First his right hand curled in, leaving his forefinger outstretched. A small dot of energy formed on the tip before loosing forward in a thin yellow beam. As the same time, his left hand was building up energy. A golden glow caressed his fingers as he brought it up and aimed it at Strega. With an unforeseen push, he loosed the energy wave to follow after the finger beam. As the two dramatically different sized lines tore through the air, both his hands came forward next to one another. The crescendo of his energy opera was unleashed; the six yellow globes materialized from his open palms and shot forward, arching up and then curling down towards his opponent. From Strega's point of view, it must have looked like a brilliant yellow flower of ki.

The longer the battle carried on and he was able to gauge his opponent his respect grew for The man. But his conviction of victory continued to grow as well, he couldn't be certain just where they stood as far as remaining stamina but his determination was greater than ever. He could finally tart to see that he was wearing down on the other warrior, his attacks were growing sluggish and he was starting to get into a pattern. The fire he still mustered was to be admired but of the two of them it was evident Strega had the experience and hardening that comes from years of hard training. There was grey potential beneath Chishan's abilities but for some reason it was still untapped. With more work he would be something to fear for sure. But for now the hybrid's confidence only grew. The punches came and he tossed them aside, landing a hard kick to the ribs before having to bade once more and sending the other fighter flying back with a knee to the face. He was sure that didn't feel good but he couldn't stop now. He could feel his flesh burning from where he contacted the flame shield and his clothing was missing in patches. As the pure blood managed to regain his feet he loosed his volley, half peppering and leaving their marks before he regained enough thought to throw the rest aside. It was a testament that he still managed to press on in this fight. Strega smiled in return as he sensed the energy emanating from his foe and toward his position. He had been holding back for a good portion of this fight, letting his challenger wear himself down and leave himself open to attack later. The first bit of the attack contacted the demonic ones palm and bounced off to the side harmlessly. The next blast he was forced to move and his image faded from view as he put on speed, only to reappear as the final segment reached him and his sword flashed from its scabbard. He sliced through each orb, absorbing the ki from them with each slash. He zigzagged between them all, landing unharmed on the hard ground nearby and sheathing his weapon. He could feel the energy pulsing in him again. He thought of Levana and a smile came to his face. He could tell now that he had proven himself to the newcomer. "Levana is lucky to have such truly devoted friends. Although I admit I can see why she would garner such devotion. She's a rose among the thorns. I'm glad to know that she has people like yourself to stand behind her, for I can't always guarantee I will be around when she needs me, although I shall try in the utmost to do so. You're a strong warrior Chishan, you have earned your honor, but I am afraid I can't hold here. It would soil my attempt at proving my worth. Lets end this." He charged forward again at the last sentence and unleashed a one two combo followed by a hard uppercut, hoping that his new friend would take it as a finish and concede. --------- WC: 535 TWC: 7,056 Actions 1: Deflect a2 (.3%) 2: ST Dodge a3 (.3%) 3: Aura Blade a4 (+6.7% ki) 4: QA x2 (.3%) T: SA uppercut (.3%) Ki used: -5.5% Total remaining: 49.1% After Bonus PL 106,725 / 186,076 Ki 45,682 / 93,038 STR 23,280 SPD 20,049 TOU STA VIT 16,036 DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
Wah-wahhh. Someone skipped the RP Award. It's gonna stay with Chishan this round, but I'll do it again in another five posts because this is really close. I appreciate you guys giving it your all. Few things. I got asked for a CE roll. Burn crit on Stregs: SUCCESSFUL Crush crit on Chish: Fail't. (I tried, Strega, I really did) I also got asked for a damage thing. Factoring in PL differences for various attacks, RP and the armor you guys are wearing, as well as the senzu/heal blade uses, here's where we currently are. Strega: 23.4% Dmg taken. (Also burn't) Chishan: 28% Dmg taken. (Ref's ruling: CE: Lame) Factor that in to your PLs. I personally prefer Rubic's way, wherein you subtract percentage from base vit and then re-do the trans bonus etc and work it from there. It makes for less of a PL drop and keeps things competitive. Oh! And one more thing. When you charge an advanced, it adds +1% to the ki used. Therefore, Chishan, you need to lose 2% ki from not adding it in when you Heat Dome'd. Strega, you need to lose 1% from when you NS'd. Carry on. |

The game of inches was winding down and it was anybody's game. Chishan's light show went unappreciated by the veteran Strega, as he wasted no time in proving its harmlessness. The finger beam was palmed to the side, scorching away into the distance. His energy wave found its target; unfortunately, its target was the left-over mirage of the swordsman. It too zipped across the ground and disappeared within seconds. His energy dan though, that at least made connection with something solid. the dark-haired warrior unsheathed his sword and cut the energy forms apart, like a sushi chef dicing a filet of tuna. His silver pupils made note of the slight glow on the blade of the moving weapon, rippling back into the torso of the man. An attack that absorbs ki. I'm pretty sure I've seen everything in this battle... he thought miserably as his would-be barrage came to an end. Strega came to a stop and clicked his blade back into place, taking a deep breath as his energy pool had slightly refilled. The Saiyan Inferno huffed. Then he spoke to him, bringing the subject back to Levana. The Amnesiac Saiyan listened quietly as his aura continued to pulse around him, the golden dispersal truly visible for no reason at the moment. He spoke well; complimenting Chishan's strength and devotion. He mentioned not being able to be there for the saiyaness all the time, causing his eyes to narrow slightly. And as sudden as the monologue had come, it was gone in a flash of aggressive movement. Strega charged forward, his hands coming up in a one-two combo. The strikes took Chishan in the chest, causing him to slide backwards slightly. But when the uppercut came, his ivory eyes glinted with determination. His back arched down and away from the rising fist, pulling his neck and head away from the danger. His hands came above his head and he smoothly cartwheeled a good three feet away from his foe. As he came to his feet, his arms came down to his sides. Electricity sparked over his arms and shoulders as his aura began to twirl around him like a yellow whirlwind. The ground shook, pebbles floated into the air. The sky itself seemed to darken as he let his transformative energy burn hot inside of him. He locked eyes with his opponent. "You talk about ending it, friend. If you wish it to end, you just say the word." He said as he powered up to his maximum power. He felt stronger, excluding the senzu bean. His saiyan genes had granted him a higher level of strength as a reward for his devotion to the thrill of battle and he fully intended to use everything he had been given. He felt the internal signal that let him know he had reached his maximum. A small smirk came to his lips. "But until such time that you say that word, I will fight on." As he shot from the ground, he send a tidal wave of stone and dirt in the opposite direction; adding yet another crater to the much larger one Strega had made. He rocketed through the air like a golden rocket; lit and ready to explode during Independence Day. As he came upon the man, his body went into motion. His left hand snapped forward in a front punch for the forehead, followed immediately after by a swinging elbow with his right arm and knee from his right leg to the torso. He twirled like a spinning top away from him before righting himself in the air, a brilliant yellow trail following after him as he reengaged his opponent. And, stale moves or not, he whipped his right leg out again for the man's right arm and as he rocketed past him, his voice rang out over the sound of his rush. "Detonate!"

His opponent had heart, that was for certain. His was driven by something far deeper than saiyan pride, or innate battle prowess from his ancestry. No, there was something much larger behind his motivation. It was as if every strike was thrown for another, as if there was something that he was trying to prove himself for, perhaps someone. the obvious first choice was that he was trying to prove himself to be a fit protector for his friend Levana, but he could sense something much more than that. The saiyan inferno had something to fight for. It was always easy to see when there was something more than pride or money on the line. Chishan had something he was trying to prove, not just to Strega but perhaps to himself. He had knocked aside and dodged the attacks, finishing by absorbing some much needed energy back into himself from his opponents attack. He could feel the relief as the energy flowed back into him and gave him a bit of a buffer to run off of. It was comparable to holding your breath and with each attack he expelled more of the precious life source. That was something that not many were aware of it seemed, that ki was more than a simple energy source. It was the life blood, the driving force behind every living creature no matter how small. And now he was faced by one whom had accumulated quite a reserve of the stuff. Strega knew that his own stores were growing lower than he would have liked them too, not to mention the pain from his burns was starting to get to him. He knew that eventually he would recover from the pain when the heat died down but for the amount of ki he held wasnt enough to stem the pain. His teeth were gritted behind his closed lips when he listened to the challengers response. The conviction was evident in his voice, he was far from done and he had no intention to hold back any longer. The fiery aura filled his vision as the saiyan closed the distance between them quickly. Strega braced for impact, remembering what Broli had once told him during a particularly painful match they had. He needed to be willing to take something in order to give it back. No pain no gain. So the hybrid stood his ground and took the assault of his friend like a champ, his head snapping back and his arm tensing and his ribs sucking up to brace for impact. When the final kick came though he moved fast and his image disappeared once more. He cursed inwardly to himself, he knew he wouldn't be able to manage many more bursts of speed like that before long. He reappeared a ways off on the edge of the crater he had created. His arms were crossed and he covered the pain of the burns well, thinking instead of something positive to fight off the pain. His lips curled up ever so slightly when an image of silver hair came to mind and the cool sensation of salt water on his flesh. The smile only grew and he looked toward the other warrior for a moment and thought. "Chishan! So, we both now know where I stand with my feelings toward Levana, but what of you. Something tells me by the way you fight that there is someone that you may compare her to, perhaps a love of your own? I'd be interested to know since you have so much insight into my own personal life now." he chuckled slightly. He offered the other warrior a moment to collect himself and respond before the battle would continue. He charged ahead and unleashed a flurry of strikes at the inferno. His fists snapped like cobras at his friends face and shoulder, followed by two kicks. One kick aimed from the right and the other from the left, cracking like whips from the force. He would finish the physical combo by raising both hands above his head and slamming them down towards the others head, aiming to bury him deeper in the massive crater. The whole time he was throwing his attacks his mind was elsewhere, feeling out the earth around them and willing it to bow to his will. Whether or not his combo succeeded it was no matter. With a grunt the crater would change, the outer walls quickly rushing to heal the hole in the ground while the center drove down deeper. The saiyan hybrid lifted off the ground as the crater and the mountains surrounding would crumble in like a bomb went off and force them to implode on the saiyan warrior before him. The sheer size of it all blotted out the sun, the air thick with debris. It was nothing that would kill the warrior, but it certainly wouldnt feel good if it succeeded. Strega would wait to see how the events would unfold. -------------- WC: 831 TWC: 7,887 Actions Free Take a3 1: ST + dodge a4 (.3%) 2: QA x 2 punches (.3%) 3: QA x2 kicks (.3%) 4: Hammerblow (.3%) T: Telekinetic Mastery (.3%) Ki used: -1.5% Total remaining: 47.6% After Bonus PL 156,640 / 186,076 Ki 44,286 / 93,038 STR 23,280 SPD 20,049 TOU STA VIT DET 288 CHA 323 INT 1,284 Damage -8%
