Namek. It was a quiet planet; full of namekians who seemed more interested in focusing on farming and living than spending their lives in battle. It wasn't a bad way to live and someday...perhaps Chishan could live like that. But for now, he longed for sport. His feet crunched on the blue-green ground as he walked, his eyes focused on the stone buildings in the distance. His scouter beeped in his ear as it ran over the rounded structures, its technological abilities piercing through the walls and reading the power signatures of the residents within. Some were higher than others...but none were impressively high. It didn't matter to him. He had no intent on fighting any of the locals. They were a peace-loving race and probably didn't much care for saiyans. No point in causing a panic by going through town unless I have to, he decided as he continued to walk. The pond that separated him from the village was extensive; at least a mile or two across every way. The green water waved gently to him as creatures underneath its surface moved. Midena, the 'medium' sized sun, hung in the air above him though it was slowly crawling across the sky. Soon enough, Samaga would be be coming up over the horizon, hinting to the ending part of the planet's cycle. How can anyone rest on a planet that is always bright? It'd make me homesick for a night sky. But I guess if you grew up with it, you don't know anything beyond it, He took in a deep breath through his nostrils and let it out of his mouth in a sigh. Apio had insisted upon training in the newly installed graviton and Levana was preparing herself to face Guru. He had been left alone on a new planet and he was, for all intents and purposes, bored. He closed his eyes and began to stretch out his transmissive senses to his ship in the sky, deciding that he could find something to do up there. Just as he found it, his scouter beeped again. He opened his left eye to look at the lens. The tiny yellow circle on the green glass was pointing to a small figure about a quarter of a mile ahead of him, near the water. The power level was higher than the local namekians and, even more, it wasn't of their race. No, in fact it was someone he knew. What was his name? The man from the swamp that kept on talking... he wondered as he leapt into the sky and let his energy take hold of him. He soared forward quickly, covering the distance in a matter of seconds. As his feet came down softly on the ground once again, he saw the fellow and the name immediately came to the face. "Kaito!" He called out to the old acquaintance. He waited until he saw his presence acknowledged before he started moving forward, both physically and in conversation "It's been quite some time since our meeting in the bog. I was hoping I'd run into you again. You had some interesting thoughts that I'd love to talk to you about." He stopped a couple feet from him and smiled. "Though, as I recall, we never got a chance to actually fight one another due to the hunter in that marsh. How about we have our chat over a bout? I'm itching for some physical exercise." As the words left his mouth, he spread his legs slightly and brought his arms up.

Kaito was resting by the shore, as he had been for quite some time now. Despite his intense gaze that always lingered on oceanic waters, he was not mesmerized by any sense of beauty so many others managed to find in the movement of the waves or the glimmer of the sun over the surface. No, Kaito’s interest lay on what may lurk beneath. Things that might not be there now, but could be if the right mind reached to them; or if a crack appeared as they so tended to do in the darkest depths of both worlds and space. Relief would flood through Kaito’s mind as something appeared to draw his attention from the unseen depths, beginning to lift himself to his feet. Now, what had drawn his attention? Really, he needed to start registering what was going on before reacting to it; that was just common sense. Then he heard it; a voice. A voice he had heard before. Even though it had only been once before, it had remained in his mind simply because of the circumstances of the meeting. “Ah, Chishan! I remember you! Didn’t expect to run into you in the flesh, though it is a wonderful surprise, isn’t it?” A bit of exercise? A fight? That could be fun. It would be something to focus on, other than his thoughts of doom and gloom. “Well, I don’t see why not. A friendly bout sounds fun, and some actual fighting against someone stronger than me might just help me focus a bit more. No promises though,” as Kaito would grin, holding his arms out to his sides. He would need to make a few quick changes if he wanted to have a bit of a chance, giving a quick thought; the weighted equipment on his body responded and snapping open, dropping to the ground. Kaito was quite enjoying those abilities from Kanassa. Now, with his weights removed, his weapons already being on hand, Kaito would take a brief moment to examine his foe. Well, self, there is no time like the present to try and get the balance swinging your way. Tossing his blade into the ground, Kaito would point a finger at you; “You stay right there. I’ll come back for you soon enough.” Readying his staff instead, Kaito would kick himself forward along the ground, into the direction Chishan stood. Bringing his left hand up to his forehead, he would give a quick salute, a smile, and then a change in direction toward the uninhabited range of more hilly land. Calling over his shoulder with a carefree tone, Kaito would keep moving; “What can I say. If there is going to be a fight, let’s make it a high speed one!,” as his hands gripped the staff, reinforcing it with his own energy as he stabbed it down into the ground, utilizing his momentum to help him knock a decent sized chunk of it loose and into the air in front of him. Now, time it right, don’t mess this up and hit yourself in the back of the head, again. Keeping momentum was the priority here; the chunk of rock had been in the air for less than a second now as he started to pass it. A twist of his body, a tightening of his grip on the staff, and then the connect; the staff slamming into the piece of stone. A momentary pause that lasted less than the time it took to blink an eye; and then the swing completing, launching the rock through the air toward his friendly foe. Finishing the twist of his body, Kaito would dig his feet into the ground upon landing, continuing his dash with little doubt that Chishan would soon be with him. --

Kaito was quick to agree to the match and held out his arms. Suddenly, as if a spirit had done it, his weighted gear unhooked and fell to the ground to idle. The saiyan furrowed his brow. He...must have done that with his mind. How unusual...and yet, how many times have I seen it now? he wondered to himself. The man dropped his sword and Chishan fell into a battle stance, a smile still upon his lips. And then he was coming forward, his feet padding against the ground hard and fast. His own muscles stiffened in response, ready to block or counter whatever strike was coming. But instead, his opponent saluted him and took off towards the empty plains. He called out about having a 'high speed match' "Sounds like fun." He said softly to himself and leapt forward, his own feet rushing hard to catch up. As he charged forward, he saw the man wedge a piece of the ground out with the end of his staff and his eyes locked onto it. Clever man, he thought as he watched the spin and suddenly the stone was coming his way. Time for some dancing of his own. His feet pushed off the ground, propelling himself up while maintaining his speed. His body spun as the rock came bristling at him, making himself a thin line that the stone sailed right past. But his right hand snapped after it and closed around it, all the while his body continued to twirl. Then, as he came around, his arm whipped forward, like the baseball pitchers of Earth. He released the stone straight forward, a fastball at immeasurable speed, heading right back towards the previous thrower. As he came down, he pushed off the ground hard once again and shot forward in a blurring sprint. Within seconds, he was upon the man. He darted past him and unloaded two punches for the man's side as he went past him. He leaned back to the right and arched his body back towards his target. A second and he was in proximity again with three quick hand strikes for his other side. He slowed down and let himself fall back slightly until he was running right next to Kaito. "I like this speed thing. It makes you really have to think." He said, giving the man a thumbs up with his left hand. As he did so, he dipped down and picked up two small stones with his right hand. As his left hand fell, his right one flung the first stone just like he had before. Then he jerked the same limb forward again, back-throwing the second stone to follow after its rocky mate on their path to the man. Whether or not they hit, it didn't matter to the Saiyan Inferno. He was already coming forward, pulling right beside his opponent. His fists were quick, snapping forward like a snake upon a mouse, attempting to connect with the chest area. And with one last leap, he swung his left left around in a spin kick for the lower back. The attacking appendage tapped to top of the green ground, attempting to find balance at the high speed. To accommodate, Chishan brought his hands above his head and cartwheeled. It slowed him down as he came back to his feet but he was swift in pounding his legs into the ground to pick up the previous rate. Afterall, it was a footrace at this point.

Kaito senses tingling. Why haven’t I heard the rock hit the ground or something else as equally sturdy yet? Do I look back? Looking back always results in seeing something horrific in every movie or book, but if I don’t look back then how will I know for certain? Really, why couldn’t there be someone watching this right now and yelling out “Don’t do that! Don’t turn around! He’s right behind you!”. Screw it, what’s the worst that could happen, right? With his inner debate on pause, Kaito would risk a glance over his shoulder just in time to see the rock coming right at him, his plan of using it as an effective starting tool having backfired on him. Clearly, this was the work of a paper user. Right, so looking back once against proves to be a mistake. Must listen to tropes more often. There was no time for him to react to this turn of events, simply hoping that the speed at which he was moving would help lessen the power of the impact; which as Kaito would learn a few heartbeats later, was quite significant, knocking him into a forward angle, the rock continuing on past him. Oh, that was not a fun feeling; and now he could sense just how fast his partner in this game was. Perhaps a speed oriented contest had not been such a good idea, but you know what? This was still incredibly fun; he rarely had time to just go all out in a large open area like this without the threat of death or severe injury. With his mind reeling still from the blow of the rock, which he now saw still tearing through the air yards ahead of him, Kaito was not in much position to defend himself against the first set of follow up blows, those five, lightning fast blow disorienting him as he stumbled on his feet. “Right, maybe I shouldn’t have agreed to this when I’m not even a challenge!” Time to focus. Hurting now, but there was no way he could just let himself get beat down without doing SOMETHING; and moments later, he saw an opportunity to attempt a stand. Two rocks coming for him with rather unfriendly looks to them. Gripping his staff firmly, Kaito would give two quick swings, each catching one of the stones and launching them away from him; sending their path back the way they had come. With no time to waste, nor rest, his opponent’s next barrage of up close and personal blows would come; but he was more prepared for this. It was no easy task while moving; Kaito had to attempt predictions of where his opponent was going to strike from with each blow. Six blows would meet his staff, each sending out a cracking sound as the staff struggled to hold together. Right, not going to be able to do that again, but success! It worked! Now to try and gain some ground.. Needing to act quick, Kaito would focus on his speed once more. A plan had formed in his mind, but it was going to be a tough one to manage at this rate. “Right, first things first! I think these belong to you,” as he would push himself forward, advancing and quickly surpassing the two stones that he had managed to deflect earlier, twisting and bringing his staff around in one wide sweep that connected with both, launching them back through the air to their sender. “Right, now to get that big son of a bitch..” He needed a quick boost as he regained his footing mid-run. One thing came to mind though that he had never tried before; Telekinesis himself. More accurately, his staff, focusing on it and then “OH GOD TOO FAST,” as his body was pulled through the air with the flung staff. Maybe this was how Thor felt, throwing his hammer to mimic flight; wait, wrong time to think about that as Kaito’s body crashed into the large stone he had unearthed at the start of this contest, rolling through the air with it. “Oh my pride..” Pushing himself to his knees on the flying rock, Kaito would shake his head for a moment before gripping onto it tightly, turning his body as he repositioned to press his feet to it. Looking down and over the stone, he would give Chishan a grin, before extending his legs quickly, pushing the rock as he kicked off it, launching it toward Chishan once again. “There! Let’s see you catch it again!”. Wait, am I forgetting something? I don’t think so. Nah, I’m good. That would be just a moment before his kick-propelled body smashed into the ground, skidding along on his back as he hastily pushed his hands into the ground to send himself flipping head over heels in an attempt to regain his balance. Landing on one foot, digging it in as he brought the other down hard to kick into the ground to keep his momentum going. “Landing, right. Mustn’t forget that next time…Ow.” ---

He was a tough one, this Kaito. And already adept at using the stick he wielded. He shook his hands out, still feeling the sting of the hard polished wood on his knuckles. But he smirked as he looked at his foe. He watched as the man once again leapt and whacked the two stones he had thrown back at him, informing him that they were indeed his to keep. As the two golf ball sized rocks came soaring back at him, he stretched his right hand out and caught them in his palm. He winced at the pain and felt a dull shock shoot up his arm from the speed and strength of the rebound. But he wrapped his fingers around them nonetheless. "Thanks, I was hoping to get them back. I had thought about taking up juggling, not sure what you were...what the hell are you doing?" He asked, his face contorting with curiosity. The pole seemed to be dragging Kaito along, like a wild dog chasing a mail truck with its master holding on tight to the leash. It was...odd and funny beyond belief. He couldn't help but chuckle as his opponent fumbled on top of the larger rock. His humor was quickly curbed though, as Kaito once again launched the stone at him. His eyes went wide as his current speed and the speed of the rock gave him less than a second to react. The stone crashed into his chest, knocking all the air out of him. His feet skidded on the ground, kicking up dirt and grass in all direction as he plowed two gorges into the earth. All the air in his lungs burst through his mouth, expelling angrily at the sudden blast to the gut. His hands wrapped around the stone, gripping it tightly in pain. He coughed once and wheezed, finding the air coming back into his lungs quicker than he expected. His head shot up, his eyes snapping from the rock to his opponent now racing away. "All right. Time to up the game." The ground exploded behind him as he shot forward, his feet a blur as he ran on the ground. He held the stone tucked against his chest, his eyes calculating the distance of Kaito and himself. Sure he had a scouter for that but figuring it out himself made the prize that much sweeter. In under a minute, he was on the man's tail again. "Thanks for that! My chest needed to be stretched out. Nothing like cold, hard stone to test the strength of your abdominals, am I right?" He joked, yelling out to the man in front of him. And then he burst into action. He leapt high in the air, pushing off the ground as he raced along. As he gained height, he kept a stern eye on the man. When he was at the apex of his leap, he let the stone go. It hovered in front of him as they each remained weightless for a second. Then he twirled in the air, stuck his right leg out and spin-kicked the larger stone, sending it rocketing forward and down towards Kaito. As his feet hit the ground again, he continued his run to keep pace. He uncoiled his fingers on his right hand, revealing the two smaller stones. He smirked. "Let's see how well you juggle!" He burst forward, arching to the right of the man. As he came to his side, his right hand dipped down and picked up four more stones that lay in his path. With a fistful of rocks now, he turned his body slightly to face his opponent. He brought his hands together, depositing the stony pile into his left palm and kept it up, an ammo pack for his next attack sequence. Two quick whips and two more stones were flying towards him, coming from his right. A burst of speed and he was at the man's twelve o'clock. His right arm flashed again; two more pebbles from the front. A quick stab of the brakes and a turn and he was on the man's left side, about his nine o'clock. He loosed the last two stones in his arsenal. Then his eyes darted forward. A large rock formation was ahead, coming up on their right. A boulder, roughly the size of car, stood in his way. Another smirk. He arched his body over to the other side of the boulder and slowed again, letting Kaito pass by the waiting trap. Then, as he came up upon the large ball of fun... "You ever see that Harrison Ford movie?" A heavy dropkick to the back of that boulder and it was suddenly bursting forth after the man, rolling along at a blistering pace. It tore up the ground as it went; spraying dirt, pebbles and grass in all directions as it bore down on Kaito. Chishan kept up, hoping to see another brilliant physical display from his humorous friend.

From above; that was where the next one was coming from. Kaito hadn’t looked yet, but he just sensed that was the location he needed to watch. That was fine, it was time for him to change direction anyway. There was something Kaito had left behind, and it was time to pick it up now. Time it just right; wait for that tingling feeling to kick in; wait for that sense of THERE! Kaito would slam his right foot down in mid-step, releasing energy as he did. This resulted in a fast turn of his body on that one leg; his left foot slamming down to push himself forward quickly. There was no avoiding this one if he intended to get to his target; using his momentum to drive himself forward and into the rock. Bracing himself, Kaito would drive through it in an explosion of stone and dust, slowing his speed for a few moments as he recovered from that blow. This was a losing battle, but Kaito didn’t care that much. This had become fun; and he intended to test his dance partner to the best of his ability. With a few tricks still up his sleeve, Kaito would register briefly the movements of his foe, who was already launching more attacks. Rocks. There were rocks everywhere. Perhaps this hadn’t been the wisest idea; getting a rock fight started. Nothing that can be done about it now, buddy. Just have to roll with the punches, and try not to make a mistake. No time to avoid them all; Chish is too fast. Have to choose carefully, act fast. No use in dodging those first two; doing so would throw him off course and result in him missing his mark. These were smaller, but no less painful as they staggered him in his path. Then there was a flash in his mind; an image of where they were coming next. A quick burst of energy beneath him would launch him forward, his body flickering briefly as he felt two of those stones pass so close by, barely missing him. Damn, that was close. Need to work on that ability. The next two were coming in too fast; Kaito wasn’t sure he could dodge them. He was close to his goal now, however; so close. “IGNORE THE PAIN,” as his body dropped down to his knees in an earth tearing power slide, his arms crossing over his face to shelter himself from those last two stones; momentum carrying him across the ground, leaving a trench behind. “INVESTING IN KNEEPADS AFTER THIS!” Kaito’s slide took him where he desired, however; right past his blade in the ground from earlier, his right hand shooting out to grasp hold of it, his legs straightening the moment he had a grip on it. Using his momentum to spin himself around by his grip on the blade in a very slingshot like technique, launching himself back the way he came as if he had lost orbit around the blade which was now gripped in his hand. Wait. What had that been about Harrison Ford? What.. “Oh, that is a big rock that I AM NOW GOING HEADFIRST TOWARD, OH COME ON!” However, Kaito had the edge of advantage now; he knew right where Chish was, something which he had been having difficulty doing. That movie reference had given him an idea, as well. With his body launched forward, Kaito would grip his blade tightly; his energy focusing through it to give it a shimmering edge. Closer, just a little more..NOW! Kaito’s arm would move upward, bringing the blade of his weapon up to connect with the stone; the force of his swing dragging the rest of his body up with it. Legs kicking out, he would press his feet flat to the rolling stone, right hand slamming the blade into the ground; left doing the same but with his staff instead. It would take a few yards for this anchoring to slow and eventually stop it, but his work wasn’t done. Pushing himself off the stone, into a quick flip back to his feet, his arm would begin to move quickly. Blade flashing as he carved into the stone with the intense focus of a man on a mission. It took only seconds for his speedy slashes to create the work which he envisioned, dropping the blade so he could press both hands to the stone. Energy surging from his hands; covering the entirety of the stone for a few brief seconds before dissipating to reveal a polished, smooth roundness of it. “My reference in return for yours!” Grabbing his staff from the ground, Kaito would wedge it under the stone, using the staff and his knee to launch it into the air; following it up with the staff at the ready, waiting until the spin on it had it facing the correct way before smacking it hard, putting his body into the swing, ignoring the crack of the staff as he launched the smooth sphere back to sender. Though, naturally, with a slight change to it now; Kaito had carved the front of it to look like a Pokeball; which was now flying toward its target at high speed. ---

He moved well, this Kaito fellow. This was hands-down some of the most fun Chishan had ever had fighting someone. Strega had been a battle of wills, a test to see who could outdo the other and outlast the other. The Saiyan Inferno had miscalculated and lost that match. But this bout here; it was all about showmanship and creativity. He hadn't had this much free-range in quite some time and he was relishing in it. The saiyan came to a stop upon a hill, curious to see how the racing man would react to the temple trap boulder rushing down on him. He watched as he flew to his blade and pulled it from the ground, using some clever dance to slingshot himself back the way he came. Unfortunately, that sent him right in the path of the rock. And then something impressive. He stopped the rock. He didn't simply use his hands or his feet to power it to a hold but utilizing his weapons as anchors while grinding it to a halt. He is creative and calculating. He has a lot of potential, Chishan thought with a grin. He made a movement as if to head down there, perhaps to congratulate the fellow on the show. But his eyes flicked up as the sword began to move at an erratic and swift rate against the stone. "What is he...doing?" He asked himself as he watched the man carve against the boulder. From his vantage point, it looked as if he was painting a mosaic with the saiyan in the foreground. And in a flash, the boulder had been transformed into a perfectly smooth ball with indentations in it. Where had he seen that before... With a spin and a crack, the once sent item was now returning to sender. It rolled quickly towards him, its shape and design quickly becoming clearer and clearer. Reference for a reference, I get it, he mentally clicked as he fell into a horse stance. As the boulder came rolling up the hill at him, his right fist shot forward to connect with it. The sheer strength of his attack tore through the outer layer of the rock and thrust forward into the middle of it. But with cracks forming all over its surface, it swiftly began to shatter around him. Stone dust and pebbles showered the area over and around him as the Pokeball fell apart from the might of his strike. Now half-buried in the rubble, he pulled himself free of the gray pile and marched up to the top of it. Placing his right foot on the last remaining debris and leaning forward on it, he waved to Kaito and smiled. "It wasn't very effective!" He called out before he leapt down. Seconds later, they were standing in front of one another. The Amnesiac Saiyan was still smiling as he held out his hand. "This was a lot of fun, Kaito. I've never had a high-speed match like that. Clever thinking on your part. And I would love to continue but I have rather pressing matters to attend to. Good show, my friend." And he meant it.

So, that last attack had not been as effective as it would have been on Kaito himself, but it was still a success in connecting; which was always something to be happy about. “Surrender? I never surrender,” a few moments passing; “at least, not to a single adversary, but seeing as how I am now perceiving there to be three of you, surrender might be a good idea.” Shaking his head quickly, Kaito would blink a few times before grinning. “Right, well, not like I haven’t taken a few blows to the head before, you know? I’m sure I’ll be right as rain in no time. This was a fun, rewarding experience, and I thank you for taking it easy on me. When next we meet, I’ll be sure to have a new game in mind for us.” With those words out of the way, Kaito would lift his hand to give a thumbs up, “Pressing issues; I have some of my own, as well. We’ll have to find time to sit and talk with each other at some point. I can’t say I know many of your kind that I like, but it is always a pleasant surprise to find someone new.” And thus would Kaito give a wave and head back to his ship; before his body decided to backhand him for being careless. ----
