Battle recorder + Combat rune as usual Date with destiny Lightning arced across the sky amidst the peaks of stretching skyscrapers atop which stood a single figure, a malevolent silhouette that loomed over Damaskia’s capital city. The figure stood six feet tall, was not too broad but not thin either, muscled and scarred from countless battles. Its body was adorned in plated armor, modeled after Earth’s feudal era samurais. The color of the armor was a deep crimson, something like a fine red wine. The figure’s similarly dark red eyes scanned the brilliant, brightly lit city the Damaskians were so proud of. “Ah, there you are.” Chaos the Cosmic Regent couldn’t help but feel a hint of excitement towards the strange power he felt walking the streets below. He had been waiting for this confrontation for a long time. It must be fate that brought them together in the flesh, having met many times in the astral realm, sometimes by conscious effort and others by luck, but never had they met in person. “Finally, we’ll see if there really is something special about you,” Chaos said to himself. “Or if you’re just more trash.” The evolved Saiyan’s athletic, armored body was illuminated by another flash in the sky as he neared the ledge. His power was restrained to roughly half, but his every move still carried devastating power. Black shoes dug into the roof as he walked, splintered shards spiked up around the footprints. He stepped off the ledge, allowing his Ki to gently drop him to the streets hundreds of feet below. He landed amidst a late night rush (the shopping district rarely slept), his gaze met by the eyes of the locals who stared in confusion. It wasn’t every day somebody dropped from the stormy sky, and a man who looked prepared for war just did. Long, elegant strides carried him to one form in the crowd that was flanked by two other figures. That strange sensation began to bubble in his senses once again, the one he always felt when in contact with this energy signature. It was alien, and thus the subject of his curiosity. It was easy to catch up to them, most people subconsciously avoided him; it was as if they could sense something ominous about his presence. “Karas,” He muttered when he got close enough for his target to hear. “Finally, I can test your skills in person!” He didn't wait for a reply, nor did he pay attention to the men with Karas. His fist flew forward with devastating force, the impact of it colliding with something resulted in a powerful shock-wave. Pedestrians were tossed aside like dolls, screams erupted through the crowd, and chaos ensued. And that was just the first punch.

Battle Recorder + Saiyan Loss Gains + Champion Lvl 1 “Remind me again why I’m your tour guide when you’re a former Shadowguard member yourself Rio?” Karas looked at the crystal haired girl as he asked his question. He honestly didn’t know why he had agreed to take Rio and Nyx sightseeing when he had so much work to do for the Shadowguard. He guessed that the only compensation for the whole ordeal right now was Damaskia’s weather. Skies full of blackened clouds that just crackled with fresh lightning every other minute. It was weather like this that he loved more than anything. It didn’t change how he was dressed though, still in his casual and very weighted clothing. No Shadowguard uniform, not for Karas. “Now relax Sugah, you should be happy. It’s not everyday someone like you gets to enjoy a day on the town with two smokin hot bombshells like me and Nyx.” Rio winked at him which only triggered a sigh of annoyance from the hybrid. “We live on the same ship, you sneak into the shower with me, I’ve slept with Nyx. A day out with you two doesn’t mean anything special at this point you know.” The woman could only puff out her cheeks in frustration at her commander. His points all proved valid but she was so dead-set on finding a way to make him hers. Nyx on the other hand was too busy with all her sightseeing to pay attention to the conversation, prompting Karas to keep a good eye on her as she buzzed around from place to place in excitement. Karas paused as soon as he took another step. A high level of power had suddenly appeared, almost as if it had come from thin air. He couldn’t wave that off though, anyone who knew the Instant Transmission technique was able to pop in wherever they wanted as long as they were able to home in on another power source. It wasn’t a huge power level but the power felt familiar, like he knew it from somewhere. Slowly he allowed his own power to rise, releasing enough to be on the same level as this new being. He kept a good track of it, feeling that it was behind him. The sudden realization dawned on him, whoever it was wanted him. Almost as if on cue a vision played out in his mind.
The vision ended. “Shit! Rio, get Nyx out of here!” As if like clockwork the voice was behind him, whispering into his ear the very words he had just foreseen. With the knowledge of what would happen the hybrid didn’t make the same mistake twice. Rather than taking the punch he slid out of the way and spun around to meet the fist with his own in a clash of brute strength.

Sorry, we're closed Two fists crashed together with the force of meteors colliding. The nearest shops and kiosks were flattened instantly, walls turned to fine dust, shoppers sent flying. He smiled as he retracted his bruised fist; it would have been a shame to end it in one punch. His feet spread apart as his aura erupted around his body, an unimaginable black flame lined with deep indigo. He casually cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders, his eyes burning with unnaturally bright red. A smile spread across his face; his experiment was going perfect. Even with that single exchange he got a burst of that power he was so interested in. A small group had gathered around the wreckage hoping to catch a glimpse of what happened. Most others had ran off screaming; screaming out of fear, out of despair, screaming for help, or for god. But there was always the curious bunch, the type of people who had the see what was going on even if it means holding up rush hour traffic to gawk at somebody else's tragedy. Confused glances went around the group when the ground began to tremble. Pressure exploded outward, the veil of debris and smoke blasted away along with the spectators. The nearest building had one of its quivering supports ripped apart like dry clay, the tipping point that caused it to slide onto its edge and crash into the adjacent shops. The chorus of screams intensified as the citizens who had fled turned and gazed at the horror. Broken pipes sprayed water hundreds of feet in the air, fires sparked to life inside the collapsed shopping center. Amidst the gray shower of concrete dust and black smoke stood Chaos calm and unfazed by the collateral damage. His dark aura illuminated his opponent with an eerie glow. “Not bad. But-- you’ll have to do much better than that,” he declared. The Cosmic Regent’s body tensed before he rocketed towards Karas leaving deep indentations where he kicked off the ground, his fist tightly clenched and poised to strike. In a heartbeat he was upon his target and he swung for Karas’ jaw. His feet sunk into the brittle ground as he steadied himself. Another punch blurred toward the opposite side of Karas’ face. He swung again and again alternating fists with frightening speed and deadly force. A deep trench formed from the power of each blow exchanged, the sound of each attack only drowned out by the rumble of thunder above. Somewhere in the distance, blue and red lights streaked through the city streets, desperately trying to navigate the flood of citizens rushing up the street. Sirens filled the air but were ignored by the panicking denizens. What did they hope to accomplish, anyway? The police didn't see what the shocked shoppers saw. If they had, they would be helping evacuate rather than rushing to certain death.

(OOC: Correction on last post. I mistakenly unsurpressed to beyond my max PL so just cap me at 75% for now) The hybrid’s fist clashed with that of his assailant’s with such force it caused the ground at their feet to crack and cave, a shockwave spreading out that shattered nearby shops and destroyed outdoor stalls. Glass flew everywhere as windows broke. When his would-be assassin pulled his fist away from Karas’ it was the first chance he got to examine the man. Long, spiky black hair and burning crimson eyes. “Chaos?”
The half-blood shook his hand slightly, not in the least surprised that a clash with such a powerful foe would leave him feeling a little damaged. He didn’t expect the bruise that was starting to appear over his knuckles though. “Is this business again? Or just your personal pleasure?” The silver haired fighter adjusted his stance in acceptance of the obvious battle. His right foot slid out and extended behind him while he leaned forward on his left leg, his left arm held in a defensive manner across his chest while his right arm hung loosely at his side. Like the lightning flashing through the sky Chaos moved, rushing forward to assault Karas with a devastating uppercut combo that was narrowly dodged with a step back. A second set of punches followed up, showing how savage Chaos was approaching this battle. A third combo connected with his face like the previous one, causing him to stagger back slightly. Karas chuckled and spat out some blood before wiping away the trail that was leaking from the corner of his mouth. “I’m not gonna lie Chaos, I’ve always wanted a fair one on one with you like this. The Astral Realm can only give us so much. Plus we don’t have your friends getting in the way so I can have as much fun with this as I’ve wanted.” He gave a grin of blood stained teeth to his foe before standing straight up again. Holding out his right hand with his palm facing up, flames danced up from his skin, swirling and combining until they formed one clear message written as plain as any ink. Two words, “Bring it”, that was it. Just as fast as they had been made the flames shaping the words began to pool together until it was just one big ball of compressed fire hovering centimeters over his palm. In one swift move he pitched the ball at Chaos. He followed behind just as quickly, planning to use the fireball as a simple diversion so that he could instead drive his fist right into Chaos’ stomach. The fist was followed by a swift rising foot aimed for the underside of Chaos’ jaw in an attempt to knock him into the air. Provided everything went as it should Karas ended up in the air above Chaos, his lungs swelling with as much air as he could get. “Fire Dragon’s Roar.” A voice not belonging to Karas resounded as the hybrid let a torrent of blazing hot flames rain down on his foe. When all was said and done Karas landed back on the ground, prepared for whatever attack Chaos would follow up with.

Heating up His eyes traced the words manifested of flame hovering in the air. Did Karas think this was a game? He opened his mouth to speak but his eyes narrowed on the fire which had twisted into a projectile. The Regent tensed, muscles wrought as steel cables, the ground at his feet exploded as he pushed off and launched himself to the side of the fireball. An instant later the area where he had been standing burst into flames, the weak shock wave of the attack rumbled by them, covering him in a fine layer of particles, some cement, and others he didn’t have time to ponder. Thick smoke spread over the shopping district obstructing Chaos’ superhuman sight. His Ki senses were not so easily fooled, nor was his battle savvy intellect; he felt and predicted Karas’ attacks coming on the heels of the blistering fireball, and made no effort to avoid the assault. This was an experiment, after all. A solid punch to the midsection nearly doubled him over even though his blood hued armor took some force out of the attack. The next shot landed square on the jaw, multicolored spots invaded his vision, and he was blasted into the stormy sky over the shimmering skyline of Capital City’s favorite shops and bistros. With uncanny body control he twisted in the air, ignoring the throb of pain radiating from his chin and the shouts of law enforcement below, found Karas above him. He’s quick. His arms shot into an ‘X’ shape and he tucked his chin behind the armored appendages just as the wall of heat boomed over him. His eyes widened as the force pressed him down. A deafening crack filled the air as his body slammed into the ground and splintered the pavement. Orange gouts of fire danced around his temporary burial site as Karas landed near the edge of the Chaos-shaped crater. Such a simple strategy...something that could be improved upon given enough time. He pushed himself out of the debris and flipped out of the hole and onto the street (what was left of it, at least). The smell of burnt flesh never had grown on him and the stench radiating from his forearms curled his lips. He glanced at the damaged skin that had turned to a bright scarlet from his normal slightly tan complexion. It wasn't serious. His left hand rubbed at his jaw where Karas’ foot had connected violently moments ago. Despite the shots that had landed, he was mostly unfazed, a bruise and superficial burn wound far from what he would consider impressive. His mental analysis of the peculiar man across from him went on with the speed of a supercomputer though his expression remained emotionless. The events of the past several seconds replayed over and over, his mind scrutinizing every detail from his prey’s assault. To any onlookers it would appear that his main concern was with the dirt covering his armor as his only action for several tense moments was to dust away the remnants of the street, never once taking his eyes off of his opposition. “You have an affinity for fire, I see. Your offensive skills are average, but still-- an overall disappointing display. Now, lets test out your defensive prowess.” His words were punctuated by the appearance of three dozen crimson ripples in space behind him. Decorative handles belonging to weapons unseen for centuries, some thought to only exist in legend, pincushioned the portals and hovered at the ready. His right hand lifted and his eyes closed. ”Dance.” His arm dropped and the blades exploded forward like missiles. Spears, tipped axes, kunai, and swords- oh yes, lot’s of swords- poured from thin air, their magnificent edges reflecting the light in impossible ways as they careened towards his experiment.

Karas wasn’t at all surprised by the fact that Chaos had seemed to take little to no damage from his combination of attacks. He knew Chaos was stronger than him, he just wasn’t able to tell how much more powerful he was completely.
Karas wondered what he was talking about but didn’t have the time to spend pondering it for too long. Small portals seemed to appear and sprinkle throughout the air around his fellow hybrid, sword handles slowly extending from the rippling portals and pointing at Karas like projectiles. The hybrid reacted and drew his own sword, fire enveloping his hand as it returned to its demonic appearance with miniature wings sprouting from his forearm. The fire shaped itself into a cylinder that quickly dispersed to show the sword that had been encased inside. “Let’s go, Senketsu.” With a spin of his blade, nimbly navigating the hilt with his fingers, he adjusted his stance once more so that he could prepare for what he knew was coming. While it would have been quicker and easier for him to take the moment of opening Chaos left himself by lifting his hand up without a single worry, Karas knew from his Paladin training that it would be the worst move possible. ‘It’s amazing how much of those lessons I actually retained.’
Chaos lowered his hand in one flamboyant sweep, launching the weapons at Karas. For the first time he noticed it was more than swords that had been sent flying at him. Swords, spears, axes with tips, kunai. Any kind of weapon that could impale him was flying at him remarkably fast. Karas didn’t plan to sit any longer and wait for the weapons to strike him and instead dashed forward with his Senketsu in hand. He closed the gap between him and the first wave of weapons in seconds, Senketsu raised only to be slashed against the first sword in the batch. The hybrid swatted weapons away, one by one while skillfully dancing through the attack. His empty hand struck out through all of his fluid movements and snatched the hilt of a sword that had started to pass by him. The added weapon only aided in his defense, allowing him to storm through the second wave of armaments in an easier fashion. A third wave followed, more weapons that the first two and numerous smaller weapons that’d be harder to strike. He didn’t even get a chance to think through with a plan. His body reacted and black flames started to swirl around his legs seconds before he simply leaped over the oncoming wall of weapons. He tossed away the sword he had skillfully snatched up mid jump and focused the grip of both his hands on his sword’s hilt as he aimed to bring the weapon crashing down on Chaos’ head, driving to cleave him in two. His feet touched the ground once more. Not wasting a single second of momentum he dashed off to the side and out of striking range. His right foot planted into the ground behind him, stopping him in his travels and allowing him to take up his stance as a Blade master with his blade tucked against his left hip and his torso slightly bent in a sort of defensive stance.

Fuck the police ”Freeze!” He glanced at the Damaskian officers surrounding them, even as his forearm shot between his face and Karas’ blade. A rainbow of sparks erupted from the point of contact, the ground at their feet fissured from the extreme forces colliding, fearful murmurs weaved through the police force behind them. His gaze returned to his opponent whom he regarded with a smug smile. Karas retreated and the Regent let his arm drop. Fiery pain and the trickle of something warm pooling at the back of his hand caught his attention, his satisfied expression erased by a look of indifference. His armor had taken the brunt of the attack, but even so. It hurt. It actually hurt! He spat at the ruined cement. “You like to play with swords, eh? Perhaps I should show you-- no. I wouldn’t want to end this game so quickly,” he said over a rumble of thunder. “You still aren’t taking this seriously, Karas. Stop fucking around. Or die.” The local police had been tightening their perimeter around the warriors, two dozen weapons locked on the threats. It was like aiming squirt guns at grizzly bears. Still, the cold metal clutched tightly and aimed carefully gave them some comfort, almost as much as the decimated buildings disturbed them. “FREEZE!” they commanded once again. The click of weapons being readied were the only noises heard aside from the sizzle-pop of structural fires surrounding them. Black energy burst from the Regent, shockwaves pounded against the encroaching police force, dust and large chunks of glass and cement tossed aside like toys. The ground split and buckled swallowing ten of the city’s finest officers. The high pitched whine of energy gathering shrieked over the groans of tormented steel and rock, drowned out the frantic cries of police trying to coordinate an offensive. As thick waves of raw Ki radiated from him, Chaos lifted a single hand, brightly lit with indigo and black flames. Thin pale lips stretched into a sinister smirk before whispering something inaudible. He fired. A massive wave of black flames wide enough to swallow Karas many times over shook the world. Half of the city was covered in a veil of darkness. An instant later an immense shockwave buffeted the outer edges of the capital. Citizens in highrise apartments peered towards the empty skyline with mouths agape. Hundreds of tons of debris, dirt, buildings, and Kami-knows-what-else, rained from the uncaring heavens over Damaskia’s proudest city. Chaos lamented that he was forced to hold back, though it was for the best he not cause too much devastation on another major world. He stood alone, the force of his attack had reduced the local authorities into skeletal fragments at best, and Karas was still MIA amidst the smoke and rubble in front of him. Watching the thick plumes of black smoke filling the sky, it was hard to believe anything were alive in the smoldering ruins, but his senses told him otherwise. So he waited, eyes locked on the devastated landscape before him while what remained of the city twinkled behind him. Don’t make me come after you.

Karas had every intention of readying himself for whatever attack Chaos could throw at him, including the beam his fellow hybrid had launched at him. At the absolute last second the silver haired warrior vanished, allowing the beam and its shockwave to pass by and continue the destruction of the city that the two had already started. Above Chaos Karas reappeared, hovering in the air for a few moments. His first thought after witnessing the aftermath of his foe’s wake was Nyx and Rio. His mind instantly stretched out and felt for them. Their mental connection was established, confirming that they were at least alive. ‘Rio, Nyx. You two alright?’ ‘Sure are Sugah. We’re back on the ship.’ ‘Good. Stay there. All of you, and that includes Jiro and Morasha. I don’t need any of you charging in here like heroes and getting yourselves killed.’ He went silent, his mind flickering to the memories of his last physical bout against Chaos and the other two. To the memories of Ahnk trying to hold one of them off while Karas and Gosai were trapped in a force field unable to do anything to help the youth. The memories of how he heroically, but foolishly, stood his ground and never retreated even when offered the opportunity. The memory of Ahnk’s death actually brought a glimmering tear to Karas’ eye, something that hadn’t happened since his own family’s death. In all his reminiscing he failed to notice the piece of photo paper sliding out of a slash in his jacket, drifting down lazily in the wind. ‘Sugah?’ ‘Karas-sama?’ ‘I’m fine.’ His attention returned to the battlefield and his opponent below him. His eyes widened in shock as they caught sight of the photo that had slid out of his pocket and how close to Chaos it had gotten. “DON’T TOUCH THAT!” He shot down towards the other hybrid in an attempt to snatch up the picture before his foe could.
