As Victor got to the road again, a man was waiting there to help.

“Is he alright?” asked the stranger.

Victor looked at Dr. Hiiragi’s head. “I think he took a blow to the head. Help me carry him please.”

The stranger took him by the legs and helped Victor carry the Doctor to safety. The flames were raging wildly while people scrambled to get distance. After carrying the doctor to a safe distance, the pair set him down. Victor dropped his back on the ground and pulled out an ice pack. An adventurer was prepared for anything it seemed. He pressed it against the grossly visible bump on Dr. Hiiragi’s head. Victor noticed the briefcase still in Dr. Hiiragi’s grip.

Even being knocked unconscious he still held on to it. He’s a strong man.

He looked up to the man and nodded. “Thanks! I got it from here.”

“No problem brother. Be safe.”

The man took off and seemed to reunite with family members. Victor tried to get Dr. Hiiragi to regain consciousness. That was when he got this strange feeling in his gut and looked off in the distance. His eyes seemed to spy something on the overhead highway. Suspicious of it, he glared. At that moment someone appeared behind Victor and spoke.

“I can look after Fero for now. You should see what’s up there.”

Victor looked back, seeing a man in a long coat and long silver hair. Victor was surprised. But the man referred to Dr. Hiiragi by his first name. Victor stood up to face the man eye to eye. He had soothing eyes. Not the eyes of an enemy to say the least. Dr. Hiiragi was most likely in safe hands. Victor wanted a closer look at that bridge. Without hesitation he sprinted toward it. His feet shuffled when a sudden rush of flames snapped at him. Looking up he could see there was still the shadowy figure standing there.

Is he waiting for me?

Victor looked ahead at the flames. He scowled from the sheer heat pressing against him. But he was persistent. Would his jump make it? Victor looked behind him. Not so much as a single siren. Weren’t there supposed to be highway patrol out here?

“What if…?” said Victor.

A look of shock was on his face. Victor got as close to the bridge as he could. Then he sprang up with a near boundless leap or so he wanted to believe. He just managed to grab the edge of the highway bridge. As soon he grabbed it he focused on keeping his grip.

This old man’s still got some fight left in him. I’ll put it to good use. His eyes shifted up.

Next he knew, he was springing over the railing. He fixed his balance and made a clean recovery from the jump.

“Do you intend to stop us?”

Victor turned toward the person speaking. A single man was standing there. He couldn’t see the person’s face yet. But his jacket tail fluttered sideways as he stood there with his hands in his pockets.

“That briefcase…you cannot stop us from having it.”

Quickly taking his stance, Victor was prepared to fight.

“I think you’ll be surprised at what I’m able to do.”

With a rush, Victor threw straight punch. His mystery target shifted to the side. Victor punched again and the man shifted in the other direction. He circled left avoiding a roundhouse kick by Victor. Victor straightened up and put his arms over his head, pressing his wrists together. He blocked an overhead pound for his head and pushed it off. With a forward jump he tumbled then sprang off his hands and landed on his feet facing the man.

“Heh, I see! You’re not bad,” said the man.

He has some speed on him. I wonder who he is?

The man shifted his body toward Victor throwing an obscene flurry of jabs at him. Victor’s hands were like lightning, deflecting the blows and catching his opponent’s fists as they came. With a sweep of his left arm, he took out the man’s legs and watched him drop to the ground. Victor attempted to stomp down his foe. He watched him roll away. Not wanting a recovery, Victor gave chase. But the man stopped and thrust his leg up at Victor, forcing him to catch it with his arms. Meanwhile he managed to shove his own foot into the man’s gut. Then he twisted the man’s ankle.

“Who are you? Why do you want the briefcase so badly?”

“Ugh… as…if I’d tell you!”

Victor twisted the ankle harder and watched the man grunt in pain.

“Tell me now!”

“Heheh. It doesn’t matter who I am. Even if you make it to West City with Dr. Hiiragi and the briefcase it won’t change anything. Panther Claw gets what they are after.”

Victor’s eyes widened in shock.

“Panther Claw!?”

“I said something shocking! HRH”

The man pulled away from Victor’s grip and stood up, albeit awkwardly with his ankle twisted.

“For now we pull off. But remember this. No matter how many times we are defeated, Panther Claw will always return.”

The man seemed to vanish with a breeze after that, leaving a shaken Victor. He processed what was just said.

“Panther Claw…”

Quote:

Screams filled the ears of Jared and his mother as they fled in terror.  Several people were on the street, setting fire to all they saw fit.  Dokensepato was under vicious attack by the agents of Panther Claw.  He could hear a voice in the background proclaiming, “Panther Claw gets what we are after! Resistance is pointless!”  Looking behind him, all Jared could see were shadows.  But his mother nudged him as they ran.

“Honey, don’t look back! Please, just don’t look back.”

Only 6 years old, Jared could only process the words his mother told him.  Tears formed in his eyes.  Suddenly he watched her be swatted aside and stopped to shriek in horror as she rolled aside onto the pavement.

“MOMMY!!!”

Someone ran into him as he was attempting to run after her.  The two of them went rolling aside.  Jared let out the wails of a young child unable to process what was going on.  He had felt pain and the separation from his mother but as he rolled, the arms of another scooped him up into safety again.  The voice of a man comforting him was next.

“Don’t worry, little guy! I got ya.”

Jared looked up, seeing the man’s familiar face.

“Daddy!”

He looked over to see his mother crouched behind a car.  Carrying Jared, the father ran over to her pushing through the panicked crowd.

“Victor!” she cried.

“Sandra, are you ok?”

“Yes, where’s Jared?”

Jared was let down to embrace his mother.

“Oh Jared! Victor we need to get out of here!”

Victor looked up and could see police officers rushing to the scene.  Then he heard the voice of a man behind him.  He held out a badge.

“Detective Sulley! Follow me this way!”

The detective had several others with him, all attempting to get civilians away from the scene of danger.  The detective turned the next corner.  There was a subway entrance there.  Officers were leading everybody underground.

“I’m not going down there.  It won’t be any safer underground than it is here.” Victor said.

“This is not up for debate.  There’s shuttles down there we’re using to get everybody away from the area.  Get down there now.” Sulley replied

“This is ridiculous! Someone needs to stop those maniacs!” Victor argued back.

Sulley looked away and scowled.  “They will be! I will stake my life on it! But right now you and your family need to get away.”

Taking Jared’s hand, his mother and father lead him down into the subway where the shuttles to the outskirts were waiting.

A very intense angry look was present on Victor’s face. Panther Claw was attempting to make a comeback. Victor looked down at his hands. They were trembling. He made his way back down to the road below. The response team had shown up and was fighting the fire. Ambulances were present to help with the injured. And as he made his way back, he saw the silver haired man with Dr. Hiiragi. He seemed to have regained consciousness and was sipping from a cup. The man looked up at Victor. Dr. Hiiragi was finally looking up as well.

“Well you seem to have lost your cool. What’s wrong?”

Victor looked at Dr. Hiiragi and his friend, the silver haired man. With a nod he then looked down.

“It’s Panther Claw.”

The silver haired fellow had his brows sink. Dr. Hiiragi looked horrified as he dropped the cup. Its contents were green tea. Brought to speechless he looked up at Victor with a “you’re lying” expression. But Victor looked back at him, the intense glare still present and he shook his head.

“Panther Claw has returned. They’re the ones who did this.”

An old enemy returning was never good. But this was possibly the one to hit home.

Dr. Hiiragi awoke to the sounds of panic. He had a throbbing headache and could feel the sensation of ice against his head. He awoke to see Prince Zera standing over him pressing the ice bag over his forehead.

“Z-Zera?”

“I find you once again in the hands of danger. When will you learn?”

Dr. Hiiragi tried to sit up. Zera helped him to his feet.

“Damn I feel like I was hit with a truck.”

As he was coming to his senses, his memory flashed what happened before he went unconscious.

Quote:

They were headed toward an interstate bridge when suddenly an 18-wheeler came flying off the overhead highway into the traffic. It crashed and forced several cars in front to stop, including Dr. Hiiragi’s car.

“What the hell!?” shouted Dr. Hiiragi.

It wasn’t long before they could hear screams and yelling outside the car. Dr. Hiiragi could see that Victor’s lighthearted expressions had gone away. The man was now facing the highway with a glare.

“Someone drove that thing off the upper highway!” Said Dr. Hiiragi

Victor was already grabbing his bags.

“Out of the car now!”

Dr. Hiiragi grabbed the briefcase and his bags. Then he hopped out of the car. The two men started running for the side, mostly because he was following Victor. They were at the edge of the road when suddenly an explosion went off. The pair went falling off the side of the road as the rush of flames and the shockwaves of the explosion came. The two went rolling down the side of the hill. Dr. Hiiragi felt his head knock against something hard and soon landed on the bottom of the hill, entirely unconscious. His body stopped near the water but only because Victor had managed to balance himself and stop them both. His hand still gripped the briefcase in it. But he lay unconscious now with a bruise on his forehead. Victor looked over to him and saw him knocked out.

“Ey doc! Doc, you ok?”

“That truck! An explosion! Where’s my briefcase!?”

As he looked around he saw that he was holding it in his grip. Still safe and sound.

“Victor?”

“He went to look into something. Here drink this.”

Zera offered him a cup of hot liquid. Dr. Hiiragi took it in. Green tea. When did this guy have time to make green tea? It was a good beverage indeed in a time like this. Police, Fire and EMT were arriving now to help contain the chaos. One of the EMTs approached them upon getting out of their ambulances.

“You two ok?”

Zera waved at the man letting him know they were fine.

“Why are you here?” asked Dr. Hiiragi.

“Just the same as you asked me to watch over your son, your son asked me to look after you.”

Junior was standing at his favorite spot on the roof.  He could see most of the city from this spot.  There was contemplative expression on his face.  As he stood there, he felt the approach of another.

“You’re leaving soon, right?”

Junior was silent and nodded.  The sun was just in the right spot.  The person on the roof with him walked up beside him.  He could see him now, Prince Zera.

“When you return, you will be a much different person, Junior.”

“I know.  But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing right?” asked Junior.

Zera nodded.  Junior finally turned his head to the man.

“Prince-sama, since I first became Gokou Jr you were there.  You showed me the way, you protected me, and when I needed it most you challenged me.”

“It’s what I was asked to do.  Your destiny is a very important one.”

“Right.  But now I need to ask something of you.”

The prince looked at him.

“Shaira, Lex, Sulley, Dad.  They’re everything to me.  Without them I know I could not have gone this far.  Just as you watch over me, please look after them.  I want them here when I return.”

Zera was silent.  Junior turned his whole body to face him.

“Please! I made a promise I would come back.  After that...eh…after that…I’ll…!”

Zera placed a hand on Junior’s shoulder.

“For one so young you’ve had the pilgrimage of a full grown man your whole life.  I will do this favor for you!”

Junior laughed a little and then bowed.  “Arigatou, Prince-sama!”

Dr. Hiiragi nodded as he took sip of his tea.

“I see. So he’s counting on me to be alive?”

“Yes.”

Dr. Hiiragi looked down at his tea and could almost see Junior’s face on the surface of his tea waving at him.

Ganbatte, oto-sama! he heard.

“Junior…”

Dr. Hiiragi looked up and could see someone walking toward them from the scene of the flames. After a few moments of looking at him, Dr. Hiiragi recognized him as Victor. He did not appear to be in good spirits. He wasn’t ready to stand yet so he could only sit and watch as Victor approached, stopping just a few steps away.

“…Not them!”

Fero gave the word to Garmai to stay where she was as he went into the next room, horrified at what he found. Junior was shaking, sitting on the floor while standing in the room in front of them were four mysterious masked figures in blue jackets. Then the wall became ripped out of by another person who appeared. He had a demon like face, a black aura surrounding him with evil red eyes. Upon seeing Fero he pointed at him with his sharp clawed finger.

"Dr. Hiiragi, we've found you!" his raspy voice came.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"Who I am is not important! I want the Ki Manipulation Device!"

Junior could barely speak. As Fero looked at Junior and these newly appeared foes, he grew frustrated. Fear gripped Junior more and more as he stared at the demon and his minions. Then out of nowhere he jumped up, a somersault being performed in midair and ripped the ceiling down on the foes with his hands, creating a cloud of dust. Dr. Hiiragi was astounded as Junior landed on his hands and feet.

"Junior, take your grandmother and head for the car!"

Junior turned to his father and nodded running through the room. He took his grandmother by the hand and they ran for the car.

"What's happening? What's going on?" She panicked.

Fero was right behind them, helping them get to the car. The foes were recovering from the dust.

"Quick you morons! After them!"

The group had made it to the car. Fero was quick about starting the car up and pulled off. Now the chase began, the demon flying across the air after the car; his minions driving a car of their own after them. Junior watched from the hind window. The window suddenly shattered when gunshots came through them. Fortunately nobody was hit. Junior and Garmai screamed as they ducked down.

"What's happening?!" Garmai shrieked.

"I was afraid they'd come after me! Those are some of the people behind the city attacks. I've been working on something very ground breaking!"

"So you came here to endanger us?!" Garmai outraged.

"I'm sorry!" Fero answered.

Before another work could be said the roof of the car was pushed through by the demon's claw and he took hold of Fero by the throat, attempting to pull him out of the car. Junior, horrified lunged forward and managed to get his father's leg! The demon looked down and saw the boy grabbing his father's leg.

"Annoying little pest!"

"Grr! Yamero! Grr!" Junior shrieked.

"JUNIOR! DON'T LET GO!" Fero screamed.

"JUNIOR, HELP!!" screamed Garmai.

Junior turned to see his grandmother was also trying to be pulled out of the car. He reached out to her and managed to get her hand. Now he was in a tug of war for his grandmother and his father.

"GRRR!!! LET...GO!!!!" Junior screamed.

"Hehe, little boy! You need to learn when to QUIT!!!" spoke the demon as he gave a harsh pull.

When the minions' car slammed against Fero's, Junior lost his grip on both his grandmother and his father. The car was sent spiraling off of the road, his father and grandmother both were taken at that time as well.

"WAAAAAH!!!!" Junior screamed.

"JUNIOR!!!!" screamed his family.

“It can’t be. Junior defeated them!”

Victor looked puzzled. “Junior?”

“Eh…Gokou Jr,” went Dr. Hiiragi.

He’d forgotten that this man didn’t actually know who his son was. He was still sworn to keep the secret of Junior’s alter ego to only the ones who knew. Zera helped Dr. Hiiragi to his feet.

“We need to leave.”

Fero led the pair away. He had brought his own car and it was able to turn around and head in the other direction. They sat in the car and while Zera began to drive.

“It’s true. Gokou Jr. did defeat Panther Claw. But there have been attempts to revive the clan. Do not forget that Panther Claw is a group of dangerous demons. They will not settle until their clan is avenged,” explained Zera.

“Is Zora back as well?” asked Dr. Hiiragi.

“No. She was vanquished by Gokou Jr. and will never be revived or so I hope.”

Victor seemed to be thinking.

“I remember a Gokou Jr. My son said he was saved by someone with that name when we got separated once. This was back when he was a child.”

“Yes, after defeating Panther Claw, Gokou Jr. disappeared. And your son decided to try and follow his legacy by making appearances in the city to do heroic deeds. Unfortunately this drew Panther Claw to begin its revival.”

“Kyuh!” went Victor.

“This time, neither your son nor Gokou Jr. are around to face this threat. So we must contend with it ourselves. But the first thing to do is get that briefcase to west city,” said Zera.

“But…” started Dr. Hiiragi.

“As the man who gave Gokou Jr. his power and the one holding what they want, they will keep coming until they get it.”

Dr. Hiiragi looked down at his briefcase. He wished now more than ever that his son were around. But silently he decided he would deal with the crisis himself. Junior had done more than his fair share.

“It can’t be. Junior defeated them!”

Victor looked puzzled. “Junior?”

“Eh…Gokou Jr,” went Dr. Hiiragi.

Victor nodded. Then he watched as this person Dr. Hiiragi was with helped him to his feet. The man turned to Victor next and then said, “We need to leave.”

The man led the pair away. He had brought his own car and it was able to turn around and head in the other direction. They sat in the car and while the man began to drive.

“Is Zora back as well?” asked Dr. Hiiragi.

“No. She was vanquished by Gokou Jr. and will never be revived or so I hope.”

Victor listened quietly while processing everything in his mind.

These two know so much about Panther Claw. They must have spent a long time fighting with them. I don’t know anything about them other than they made my life very difficult in Dokensapato. I remember Jared training hard after he met Gokou Jr. I never actually met this person.

“But…” started Dr. Hiiragi.

“As the man who gave Gokou Jr. his power and the one holding what they want, they will keep coming until they get it.”

Victor looked at Dr. Hiiragi. “You gave Gokou Jr his power?”

“In a manner of speaking…yes.”

“Dr. Hiiragi created something that Gokou Jr. used to activate his abilities. It was actually I who gave it to him that day. Before that, he was just a boy caught in the crossfire.”

"Oto-sama! Where are you? Sobo-san! Oto-sama!"

He tried to search through the wreckage but he found nothing. Then he remembered what happened before the crash.

"They were taken! Both of them! I couldn't save them!" Junior said.

Despair took him as he dropped to his knees and hands. Tears began forming in his eyes as he felt the urge to cry.

"No...Oto-sama...Sobo-san! Why did this happen?!" he sobbed.

As he was sobbing he did not notice someone walk up and stop to survey the wreckage and the boy crying. Junior continued his crying until a voice came to his ear. Junior then noticed the shadow and turned. Standing there in a long gray jacket and black suit under suit was another mysterious man. Junior stared in surprise. The figure's eyes were hidden by sunglasses.

"Destiny has a way of changing lives. It is something that cannot be avoided. Your destiny is no different."

"Baka ie! Acchi ni ike!" Junior lashed out in anger.

"You speak valiant Japanese, boy. But your strong language is English. Might I suggest using it?" the man responded.

Junior was taken by surprise and anger as well.

"Who are you?" Junior asked.

"An associate of your father's. In the event of his kidnapping I was to seek you out. You are Junior Hiiragi aren't you?"

Junior was surprised. The man was walking up to him. Before Junior could react he found the man had placed wrist bands on his wrists. They were red and had a special symbol of a dragon on them.

"What are these?" Junior asked.

"Your father entrusted me with these. I was to give them to you in such an emergency like this."

Junior was made upset now by the man's words and lashed in words of anger.

"Why would this happen to my father!? Why would they take him and my grandmother!?"

"There is no reason. These demons take what they want. That is the way of the Panther Claw! Your father has something they want."

"And what about my grandmother?" Junior asked.

"Expendable!" The man responded.

"NO!!!" Junior shouted.

"But listen! They're being held at the lighthouse near the water's edge several miles from here. There is a way to save them. Those bands and this are the key."

Junior took what was obviously a headband with the same symbol. As he gazed upon it, all he could think about was his grandmother and his father. Junior placed the headband upon his head and when he tied it firmly, he felt different. A blue aura surrounded his form and he was unable to move.

What...what's happening to me? I feel strange!

Junior's eyes closed as the energy began to fill his entire body, perhaps awakening the energy he had already built up inside of him. Now he felt his muscles developing more as well. His breaths were forced as the energy intensified more and more. Junior was feeling overwhelmed. He'd never felt so much energy actively traveling around his body.

"This...power...! It's so strong! I feel amazing! Kyuh...Oto-sama!"

He saw images of his father and grandmother. As the images grew clearer and clearer he also saw images of his favorite super hero as well. The man watched as Junior underwent the energy conversion.

"Junior, these demons will only try harder to succeed at their goal. If you really want the well-being of your father and grandmother to remain intact. Then you must fight for it."

"I..must fight for my father and my grandmother!" Junior responded.

He felt his hands moving toward his headband. It wasn't anything he could control. But upon touching his headband he felt the energy had made a complete circuit.

"Grrrrr! Dragon Ki!" He shouted!

Without warning he felt the energy burst forth and overtake him. Junior's expression of immediate surprise was the last thing the man in front of him saw before Junior appeared on the road, a motorcycle to fit his size and now he was in a black vest with the dragon symbol on the back. His dark blue pants had remained the same.

"What happened?! Where did this come from?" Junior asked.

He looked in the cycle's mirror and saw his new appearance.

"I look different! What did you do to me?" Junior asked.

"You can now manipulate your ki to materialize your most inner thoughts. You can save your family now!"

"I will!" Junior responded.

With his motorcycle ready, the boy took off toward Pilot's Lighthouse. The man just watched him disappear.

"As time goes on, Junior, you will find yourself doing much more."

Victor remained speechless at first. But after a moment or two to think about it he nodded. Soon they came upon another vehicle on the road which was vacant. The man stopped his car beside it and looked over to the car. It looked brand new and almost very sporty.

“Use this to make your way. This is as far as I’m able to take you,” said the man.

“Hey wait! Why can’t you come with us to West City?” said Victor.

“Because this is your journey. I have something I must see to. Godspeed to you both.”

Victor and Dr. Hiiragi exited the car. The man gave Dr. Hiiragi the keys to the car beside his own. They secured the briefcase inside the trunk. Dr. Hiiragi looked over to the man once more. He seemed to wave before driving off silently. Victor watched him disappear down the road. He and Dr. Hiiragi got in the car they were given and started to drive off. It was silent for a little while as Victor took in everything that just happened. Then he looked over to Dr. Hiiragi.

“He’s your son isn’t he? Gokou Jr. is your son.”

Dr. Hiiragi looked over at him almost surprised.

“I act like a goof most of the time but I’m not stupid. That story was pretty vague but I could fill in the blanks. Panther Claw was after you because of the power in whatever it was you created. Knowing you couldn’t protect it yourself, you had that man instructed to give it to your son. You trusted your son to protect the item…”

Dr. HIiragi turned away to the road and finished Victor’s sentence, “and to stop Panther Claw.”

Suspicions confirmed. Victor had just gotten Dr. Hiiragi to admit the truth.

“On an expedition a woman approached me with a prophecy. Her first words to me were “You have the heart of a loving father”. I was surprised that someone would say such a thing. But the moment she said that all I could think of was my son. She continued on to say, “A father’s love shall bear a light. A darkness soon arrives. When the darkness descends, a youthful appearance shall be the light. He shall be strengthened by his father’s love and guided by a wind of mystery”. Then after that she gave me a scroll that I spent day and night to translate.”

Victor was surprised. Not only was this man a brilliant scientist, but his son was a manifested hero. He had already seen the effect of Gokou Jr’s heroics on his own son. Jared had trained as often as he could before finally going out into the world to face evil.

Quote:

Inside the park, the armed swordsman was skulking around. People inside the park that saw him moved to get out of his way. He seemed to be looking around for something. His eyes then met with a young girl hunched up beneath a nearby tree. The man seemed intrigued by her and made his way toward her.

“EEEK! PLEASE DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!” she shrieked.

The woman had slouched into a seating position staring up at the man. He stared coldly down on her and began to reach out for her neck.

“NOO!!!” she shrieked.

His hand was about a foot away from her a staff suddenly flew by his face and lodged itself into the tree stem. The man, turned around, slightly surprised. What he saw was the young boy posing as Gokou Jr. rushing up on him with a jump and spinning thrust punch. The man caught it bluntly on the face and was knocked over. The young Gokou Jr. pulled out his staff from the tree, giving the girl the chance to run. He then rubbed his fist to sooth the redness that was there.

“Why do you creepy guys always go for the helpless girls?” He asked.

The man got up and drew his attention to the boy.

“I'm going to crush your skull!”

“Give it a shot if you like.”

The man rushed the young attempting a side swipe with his arm. The young boy went into a backwards roll to avoid it. Then he rolled to the side and sprang up just in time to catch the man upon his shoulders. He looked up to see the young man looking down on him. He stuck his finger into his mouth and lodged the wet finger into his ear.

“Gokou Jr's super wet willy!!! HAHAHA!”

The man suddenly let out a sharp roar of rage. The boy's laughter stopped suddenly.

“Uh oh I think I made him mad!”

The guy grabbed Jared by the leg and started swinging him around furiously.

“Definitely made him mad!! WAAAAAH!!” he screamed as he was then thrown.

Junior was arriving at the time but couldn't see where they were. He was looking around for signs of the man with the sword.

“Where...is he?”

“WHOA DUDE HEAD'S UP!” came a shout.

Junior turned to his blind side at the source of the yell and gasped just before the boy crashed into him, knocking them both over into a roll.

“Oof!”

Junior shook his head and then came face to face with the boy laying over on Junior's back. Jared had a sheepish grin on his face.

“Well nice meeting you again!”

“You? I thought I told you to...uh?”

A shadow loomed over them. They looked up to see the man with the sword, angry as a hornet. He let out a ferocious roar, causing Junior and Jared to give looks of fear.

“WAAAAAAH!!” he screamed just before Junior forced him off.

He rolled and jumped aside just in time to avoid the man's fist slamming against the ground. The boy landed on his feet just in time to see the man come barreling after him. The kid took off in a frenzy with the man chasing. He caught up to the sprinting Jared and grabbed him by the collar.

“Can't we talk about this!?”

The man just roared again and went to fling the boy across the air. Jared's body flailed as he went sailing across the air. Junior ran up quickly, jumped, and caught the boy in his arms before landing again.

“Heh, nice catch!” said Jared.

Their boys were already becoming legends. It was only a matter of time before they returned. Victor turned to Dr. HIiragi.

“Let’s do it, doc!”

Dr. Hiiragi looked perplexed as he heard Victor’s words.

“Our boys are legends in the making! Let’s finish what they started and defeat these Panther Claw idiots. We’ll show our boys their old men still have a few tricks up their sleeve.”

Victor’s grin was full of confidence. Dr. Hiiragi didn’t seem to believe what he was hearing. But Victor was certainly not joking.

“Panther Claw is full of super strong demons. How do we fight them?”

“Panther Claw is trying to make a comeback. This means they’re not at full strength yet. With this weakness we’ll put them down before…”

Dr. Hiiragi screeched his car to a stop. Victor jerked forward and then back into his seat suddenly.

“Ouch, doc! What the hell was that for?”

Dr. Hiiragi pointed ahead. Standing in the middle of the road was a trio of Panther Claw agents wearing brown fedoras and a jacket. The rest of their attire looked like a black wet suit. Seeing the fear on Dr. Hiiragi’s face made Victor easily guess these guys to be Panther Claw.

“The briefcase, Doctor Hiiragi! You will give it up now.”

Since the doctor seemed silent, this was up to Victor. I’ll show them my strength now.

“Oy! Panther Claw!”

Victor jumped out of the car after taking off his seat belt. He ran out to the front of the car and took his stance.

“Sorry to say this but I can’t let you have the briefcase. Our boss would just kill us if we didn’t bring it to him in time for his big meeting.”

The three of them pulled out pocket knives.

“Then we’ll just kill you and save him the trouble.”

Victor became focused. Seeing as his opponents had weapons and he was unarmed, the advantage was technically theirs. But…

“HAH!” they shouted as they rushed Victor.

The first one to come slashing at him had his arm wrapped up by Victor’s arm and tossed into the second one, knocking them both down. The third came up behind them and did a triple slash at Victor. One left shift and a right shift avoided the first two. The third was countered all together when Victor blocked the slashing arm stopping his motion. Victor then got the chance to shove his elbow into the man’s chest cavity before flipping him over on top of the other two.

“If that’s the best you have, you guys are going to be headed back to your boss empty handed.”

Victor then watched as the fallen men began to evaporate.

“What the…?”

Suddenly a whip cord wrapped itself around Victor’s right wrist before his arm was jerked out.

“Agh!”

“It seems my help is horribly incapable. So I’ll give it a try myself.”

Victor turned to see some form of female standing there with the other end of the whip.

“Let me introduce myself. I’m Sinclair. As for you, you’re all mine!”

He was yanked and thrown over her head. She figured him to be easily disposed but when Victor took hold of the whip cord in midair and landed on the ground safely behind her, things got interesting.

“Oh? It seems you’re a little capable. Interesting,” she smiled after.

“Thanks for the compliment but so you know,” he held up his wedding ring finger, “see this? Already taken. The Mrs. doesn’t care for competition.”

“She’ll hopefully forgive me for making her a widow then!”

“Uh-uh! Not dyin’ here. Tomorrow’s roast night and I never miss it!”

With a sharp pull Victor managed to take Sinclair off her balance. He yanked the whip out of her hand and tossed it aside. Then he came in close and began the dance of fight with his lady demon. Filling the air now were sounds of skin slapping as his hands furiously snapped back and forth in furious flurry of hand strikes that were being met by hers. Eyes were locked on each other and it seemed they were taking steps as needed to keep balance. The furious flurry exchange ended with his right hand on her left shoulder, her hand on his right shoulder, his left hand grasping her wrist. There seemed to be a struggle for dominance at that moment. Suddenly Victor grinned.

“May I say you dance divinely, Sinclair?”

In an outrage she took her hand across his face and used the moment of stagger to kick him sideways. Then she back flipped and regained her whip cord. Again she caught Victor by his wrist with it. But in a state of imbalance he didn’t look so comfortable this time.

“Silly man! This is not a game. Panther Claw has come with a mission. We won’t falter till we achieve that mission!”

She stepped forward and spun the cord at her end, wrapping the whip around his upper body and binding his arms.

“Dr. Hiiragi, watch as I make an example out of your bodyguard! This is what will happen to all those that oppose us.”

Victor smirked. “I knew I was the bodyguard.”

Unfortunately in this state I won’t be guarding anybody!

It was very unsettling to see Zera part again. But Dr. Hiiragi knew they would meet again.

Their boys were already becoming legends. It was only a matter of time before they returned. Victor turned to Dr. HIiragi.

“Let’s do it, doc!”

Dr. Hiiragi looked perplexed as he heard Victor’s words.

“The briefcase, Doctor Hiiragi! You will give it up now.”

No progress made toward West City yet at all. Every turn took them into these guys. The frustration of this mission was starting to set in when suddenly Victor decided to act.

What the hell is he doing? Is he actually going to fight them!? thought Dr. Hiiragi.

Dr. Hiiragi looked over the car windshield to see the men completely subdued. This man was amazing. Shortly after their fall, the men began to evaporate. He’d seen this before. They were nothing but disposable henchmen.

“What the…?”

Suddenly a whip cord wrapped itself around Victor’s right wrist before his arm was jerked out.

“Agh!”

“It seems my help is horribly incapable. So I’ll give it a try myself.”

“Dr. Hiiragi, watch as I make an example out of your bodyguard! This is what will happen to all those that oppose us.”

Victor smirked. “I knew I was the bodyguard.”

Dr. Hiiragi was at a do or die moment. The briefcase was to be protected at all cost. Victor was key to this, so the doctor thought up a plan. While his opponent was tied up with Victor, Dr. Hiiragi sat down on the car and turned on the engine. Sinclair was surprised by this.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

Dr. Hiiragi glared right at Sinclair. “Right. Through. You!”

He put the car in drive and pushed forward. The demon was shocked as the car came barreling toward her. She released her hold on Victor and jumped to avoid the car. Victor was able to get loose. Dr. Hiiragi stopped the car.

“Nice one doc!” he shouted over.

“This isn’t the time to admire me. Get in the car!”

Victor sprinted and jumped into the passenger seat. Dr. Hiiragi slammed his foot down on the pedal and took off with Victor scream as he had not settled into the car yet to buckle himself in. Sinclair was running after them.

“YOU CANNOT ESCAPE!”

“Buckle up, Victor!”

Victor struggled to get himself in the right position.

“I can’t unless you stop the car.”

“You see what’s behind us? Not an option!”

“Then we’ll speed us up.”

Victor faced the rear on his knees. He strapped himself to the seat facing the opposite direction. Dr. Hiiragi had never seen a daredevil like Victor before but trusted him to whatever he was about to do. He focused on picking up max speed. This was a fast car.

“Focus on driving, doc and brace yourself!”

“What are you doing?”

“KA….ME…!”

The demon was keeping up her speed pace and was gradually catching up. He couldn’t see what Victor was doing because he was focused on the road but heard him continue.

“HA….MEEEEEEE…!!!”

A glaring light hit his top rear view mirror. Dr. Hiiragi focused on the road despite. Then he heard Victor shout, “HAAAAAAAAAH!!!”

Two things happened. First the car sped up, drastically! The second, he heard the scream of Sinclair just before screaming out himself.

“WHAT’S GOING ON!!!??? AAAAAAH!!!”

“KEEP DRIVING DOC!”

The car rocketed down the eerily empty road at speeds a car was most certainly not capable of on its own. When the light faded Dr. Hiiragi was able to see the top rear view again. He then heard Victor’s voice.

“You ok, doc?”

“W…What the hell…what the hell did you just do?!”

Twenty minutes later they had stopped for gas. Dr. Hiiragi was still in shock.

“Seriously, what did you do back there?”

The man smirked.

“Impressive huh? It’s the Kamehameha Wave.”

“Kamameya what?” replied Dr. Hiiragi.

“Tsk tsk! The Ka…me…ha…me…ha wave. It’s a special technique my master taught me. It uses your own energy as a weapon that’s fired in a dense beam. I used it to propel us and repel the demon.”

“Did you hit her with it?”

“I heard her scream so I hope so.”

“I’ve heard of using energy before. My son is able to do it!”

Quote:

“Thanks! That was almost too easy. It kind of makes me wonder what caused the power down in the first place.”

Dr. Hiiragi’s answer came in the form of a looming shadow above them. Drawn by the shadow’s presence, Junior looked up. Hanging up on the high ceiling above them was some sort of a rock skinned creature with a large mouth and a pair of green eyes. It dropped down in front of them, blocking the door. Eyes widened and now staring at the snarling creature, it seemed their victorious moment had come to an end.

“If I had to guess, I’d say it was the alien monster blocking the door. What do you think?” said Dr. Hiiragi.

Junior frowned and groaned. The creature before them took in a deep breath, generating a curious expression on the faces of the pair. Then suddenly the creature let out a high pitch shriek, sending sound waves rippling toward them. As the sound waves reached them, both Junior and Dr. Hiiragi were lifted off of their feet and forced to cover their ears from the painful sounds. The two fell flat on their backs, quickly placed into a dazed state. Even their hair was forced into disarray. Junior struggled to get back on his feet when the creature jumped into the air with the intention of crashing down on him. With a lash of its own claws, Junior was sent flying back against the wall only to fall face first onto the ground. He struggled to move, still dazed from the sound waves. Dr. Hiiragi had managed to stand up and was barely able to see since his glasses had been knocked off of his face and shattered.

“Junior!” he shouted.

Suddenly the creature toward Dr. Hiiragi. The doctor was able to see the creature perfectly up close. The creature reached out to grab him when suddenly a flash of light went off behind it. This was followed by the lashing out of a whip cord that wrapped itself around the creature’s arm. Junior’s appearance had changed from the biker’s suit to that of his makeshift Indiana Jones’ look and he was holding the cord by the helm.

“Junior!”

“Dad, get back!”

The creature’s wrath continued as it yanked on the cord with just a tug of the arm, swinging Junior off the ground. Flipping himself in the air, Junior ricocheted off the wall and pressed toward the creature with a sharp jump. However the creature caught him at the waist and Junior got to look into its angry eyes. The creature slammed him against the ground twice and then chucked him at the wall again.

“Junior! Are you ok?”

Junior staggered to his feet. Damn, that thing is powerful!

Dr. Hiiragi charged the creature out of anger. Junior was horrified watching him do this and sprang into action. He managed to tackle his father out of the way of the creature’s hand swipe.

“What did you do that for? I had him right where I wanted him,” detested Dr. Hiiragi.

Suddenly the creature dropped down out of a jump. The two of them looked up at the creature with fear in their eyes.

“You sure about that?”

The creature took in a deep breath. It was going to shriek again. Junior pressed his dad’s head against the floor face first.

“What the hell, Junior?”

“Keep your face there and shut your eyes!”

Junior took his palms and spread the fingers apart in front of his face.

“Ok Shrieky, here’s light in your eyes!” Junior shut his eyes tightly and pressed out the energy he needed. “TAIYOOOOKEEEEEENNNNNNNN!!!!”

The creature’s shriek attempt was brought to a halt as Junior generated a blinding sun light energy. The creature was knocked back. Junior helped his father up and moved to head for the exit.

“Evacuation time!”

In a hurry the two moved up the stairs. So far the creature hadn’t followed behind them.

“What did you do?” asked Dr. Hiiragi.

“Ask me later! Keep running!”

“So you were taught to do all of that?” asked Dr. Hiiragi.

“Yes, I also happen to know my son is stronger than I am.”

Dr. Hiiragi was hardly in a mood. They needed to get going before anything else was able to follow them. Back in the car, the pair took off from the gas station. Dr. Hiiragi saw a gps device on the car and activated it. It soon displayed their current location. Dr. Hiiragi put the address of Capsule Corporation in the GPS allowing it to calculate directions. He grimaced when it finally finished calculating.

“We’re still about 2 and half hours away from the city. I don’t suppose you can fire that Kameha thing again and speed us up.”

“That wave takes up my very energy. With Panther Claw chasing us we’d be better off conserving my energy. Luckily…” Victor pulled out a bag of beef jerky, “we have plenty of this stuff to help!”

Dr. Hiiragi wanted to groan but the man had just saved them from Panther Claw. There was not much wrong with letting him eat some of the beef jerky.

“Better keep a lot of this stuff, doc. Looks like I’m going to be saving you quite a bit.”

“Hey, I got her to let go of you by trying to run her over. So I saved you once too!”

Victor seemed to think on that a moment. “Good point! Want half of mine?”

“No thanks! Reminds me though, there is someone who might like to know of Panther Claw’s return.”

Dr. Hiiragi pulled his cell phone out and began dialing a number. Once he finished, he let the phone ring. After a few rings someone picked up.

“Sulley’s detective services!”

He’d called up Detective Sulley.

“Detective I’ve got bad news.”

“What’s that?”

“Panther Claw is back. Panther Claw tried to attack me!”

Crash! He could hear it on the other end of the phone. Sulley must have knocked something over.

“WHAT!? PANTHER CLAW!? HOW??”

“I’m not sure but…”

“WHERE’S THAT SON OF YOURS? HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THIS!”

“Now pipe down! All of us were trying to take them on. Clearly we failed if they’re able to make a comeback.”

“Damn! I can’t believe this! After nearly 6 years of peace!”

“I understand. But right now what’s important is we try to take care of this as soon as possible.”

“Have you been able to reach Junior?”

“It’s been a few months. Junior hasn’t reached out at all. We have to handle this without him.”

“Ugh without that kid, our fight is going to be hard!”

Dr. Hiiragi looked over at Victor for a moment. “I may have someone on hand that might be useful.”

“Fine. Where are you?”

“I’m on en route to West City. I have some very important papers to deliver to the Capsule Corp. Panther Claw has been sending agents to try and take it from me!”

“Damn it! You Hiiragis are nothing but trouble! I’m on the next train to West City and I’ll meet you there. Try to stay alive!”

“I’ll do my best!”

End of the call. Dr. HIiragi put the phone away. Victor was still chomping down on beef jerky.

“He sounded very happy.”

Dr. Hiiragi just sighed and continued driving. His eyes glanced up to the rear view mirror up top and he thought he saw something in the air. A zeppelin had appeared. He ignored it and continued driving. But as Victor kept eating soon he noticed it too.

“That zeppelin is getting to be a bit low don’t you think?”

Dr. Hiiragi looked up at the rear view mirror again. It was dropping quite a bit of altitude. The moment he noticed, Dr. Hiiragi growled. Immediately he became worried and started to press down on the gas pedal.

“You think that…”

“Yes I’m sure of it!”

The zeppelin seemed to be moving in quickly. It was catching up gradually.

“I didn’t know zeppelins could fly that fast!” Victor said.

The shadow of the zeppelin soon loomed over them. The next thing they knew, grappling hooks came shooting down on harnesses. Each hook attacked itself to one of the frame half-circles over the wheels.

“We’ve been snared!”

“We have to get out of the car quickly,” said Victor.

They heard something plop down on the trunk behind them and a gun was cocked. They turned around and could see an agent and now Sinclair standing on the trunk.

“I wouldn’t move if I were you!”

Victor swallowed the piece of beef jerky he was eating.

“Well…this is horrible.”

“Raise the harnesses. We have what came for.”

Dr. Hiiragi simply watched helplessly as the ground became further and further away.

“I have only one question, Sinclair. Does this zeppelin have wifi and in-flight movies?”

Dr. Hiiragi slapped Victor over the back of the head. It was only moments after this that the car had been completely lifted into the cargo drop area of the zeppelin. The drop doors were closed as soon as the car was completely lifted in. Then Dr. Hiiragi and Victor came out of the car with an agent each holding a gun to their backs.

“Welcome, gentlemen to the last flight you’ll ever take,” said Sinclair.

“I hope this isn’t my last flight. I still haven’t saved enough points for my flight to the islands. That’s not a cheap deal you know?”

Victor chomped on a piece of beef jerky while Dr. Hiiragi sighed hoping for a miracle.

Captured. Check! Held at gun point. Check! Evil zeppelin of doom! Check. Foxy villainess’s glare of doom. Check! Bag of beef jerky. Double check! Victor stared at the vivacious Sinclair. Up in the skies upon a zeppelin there was probably no real chance of escape; at least at first sight. Dr. Hiiragi was anything but happy. But Victor seemed calm. He took in another piece of jerky before she ordered the bag taken from him. One of her minions snatched it from him.

“Hey! I was eating that!”

“SILENCE! You fools really don’t take this seriously do you?”

“I’m sensing a bit of…hostility here. Listen Sinclair, we’re adults here. I’m sure we can come up with a logical, reasonable…”

Sinclair fired a gunshot past Victor’s face.

“…completely submissive compromise.”

Dr. Hiiragi groaned. “Please stop talking…”

“Doctor, the briefcase! Where is it?”

“I seem to recall it falling out of the car when you lifted us up! Maybe we should go back down and look for it.”

Sinclair rushed up and planted a good slap across Victor’s face.

“Stupid human! You talk way too much!”

“Mistress I found it in the trunk!” came one of the agents.

“Bring it here!”

Victor and Dr. Hiiragi watched as the agent brought the briefcase over to her. She stepped away from them and took the briefcase from the agent.

“Good! Miare will be pleased.”

Dr. Hiiragi looked up. “Miare? Is that your new leader?”

“Perhaps. Why should I tell you anything?”

“I can think of a few reasons,” said Victor.

Sinclair snapped her fingers and Victor was punched in the stomach. He keeled slightly but stood back up again and decided to keep quiet.

“Now, Dr. Hiiragi, I’ll ask only once. Your son, where is he?”

“Why do you want my son?”

“As the one responsible for Lady Zora’s defeat, we want to see to it that he’s completely punished for his insolence. So, where is he?”

“Kids grow up these days. I sent him off to college. Go look for him yourself.”

“That was witty! He’s learning,” said Victor.

“Tch! I will not have my time wasted. Lock them up!”

Victor snatched the bag of beef jerky back from the agent that took it.

“If you guys are locking me up, I want snacks.”

Victor and Dr. Hiiragi were led off. They were placed into a cell where Victor saw fit to finish chewing on beef jerky quietly. Dr. Hiiragi was looking through the small hole.

“Great! They have the briefcase.”

Dr. Hiiragi looked back and saw Victor quietly chewing on the snack. Annoyed he went over to the man.

“Now you’re quiet? Aren’t you gonna do something?”

Victor kept eating.

“Hello? Are you there? Doesn’t the fact we’re in a cell locked up with Panther Claw bother you?”

Victor still kept eating. Dr. Hiiragi grew angry and snatched the bag from Victor.

“Victor!”

Victor took Dr. Hiiragi by the leg and gave a sharp pull, causing him to fall. Then he took back the bag.

“It’s impolite to take a man’s food while he’s thinking. Sit down and shut up.”

Victor went back to eating.

“This zeppelin is about 800-900 feet in length and 200 feet in diameter if what I saw on the way up here was right. We’re probably traveling at about 150 mph about now. Feels like our altitude is climbing still. Hmm. We probably have two guards sitting outside with the cell and two more in rotation. Zeppelin this big I can estimate is manned by at least 45-50 crew members excluding our lovely hostess. That being said I can only think of one reasonable course of action.”

Dr. Hiiragi was sitting up.

“What’s that?”

“Wait and see where they take us. Even if I fight us out of this cell and take down every crew member aboard this zeppelin, I’ve never flown one so chances are we’d be in a worse situation afterward. So we wait and see where we end up. Then we fight. Don’t know about you but I’d rather play risk with escape on the ground.”

Dr. Hiiragi nodded.

“Cool! I’m napping. Wake me when we start dropping altitude. Cuz it will mean we’re almost to our destination.”

Victor turned around laid on the floor and started to sleep. Unbelievable.
