Awakening is the direct understanding that we are not who we believe we are. All the thoughts, images, and behaviors which we usually take as ourselves makes up a false reality; those things are not really us. It is that realization which means we are Awake. Did she know? Could she know? Had she heard and learned it from another source? Could she feel the change in the universe as the event had happened? Though she seemed content with this new friend of hers, so perhaps she did not yet know the loss their family had just recently suffered. Perhaps that would be for the best; for as far as Kaito knew, little Kaiya did not yet understand just how different things were in this day and age with their family. A stabbing pain within his skull would stop him mid step on his trek back to the ship; right hand lifting to the side of his head, fingers pressing slowly to his temple. Nnn, the more I struggle to fight it, the worse this gets. It won’t be much longer though; just a little more and I can focus on what needs to be focused on. A little more and I can begin moving on to ICE CREAM! Oh don’t start that again. We’re barely still here thanks to your obnoxiousness; do you WANT to be sealed up by the angry one again? Sorry.. With his ship coming into view, Kaito would pick up the pace of his walking; a brief glance over his shoulder confirming the dark clouds beginning to roll into the area. A common side effect of tearing open a rift in such a way; and he suspected this one would be one hell of a storm once it got started. Turning his attention back to the ship, Kaito would focus on each step to keep himself steady as the brief pain passed. Once he arrived; the ship beginning it’s automatic system of opening up to him; Kaito would take a moment to glance about for his sister and her companion; they had been clear of the area, and he assumed they would have come back to the ship. Where else did they have to go on this forsaken planet? Another stabbing pain; one that sent him collapsing against the wall just inside the ship, his heart rate increasing; breathing growing heavy as he let out a low, anger-fueled sound. ”Stubborn, stubborn me; refusing to behave and let go. Need to take action sooner rather than later it seems. Some time remains though. Can’t rely on Kaiya alone, no. She would fail. Need Tomoko..” Shaking off the spell of dizziness, Kaito would realign himself to a standing position; beginning to head toward the control room. It was time to see where his fellow travelers were at within his ship at the moment; yet halfway there, his steps would cease once more as his eyes narrowed. That’s it. That is what is going on now; is it already to that point? Has my power smashed against that wall so quickly? I need to break the next layer of protection to gain further access to what I need. Though can I take that step so soon? It is a struggle to remain as I am already. Without warning, Kaito would find himself in the control room; having not noticed his continued trip to this room while trapped in his thoughts. Taking a seat at the console, he would begin activating the internal cameras to see what state his ship had been left in. It seemed likely Kaiya had no doubt made a mess somewhere. Maybe multiple messes. ”Oh god, why did I decide it was safe to leave her alone?” ---- WC: 622 TWC: 622 |

She was taking her sweet time getting back to the ship. Her neck hurt, her breathing still a raw rasp. Her head felt clouded and her vision was only just coming into focus. It was like she was having to literally dragging herself, every grain of dirt feeling like a boulder in her way. Her eyes were read, lines bursting towards her pupils in each. She imagined her friend wasn't much in better shape. There was no chance in this light to really look, but she'd seen that painful connection. She seemed to be worse for the wear ever since they left the mine, and had a literal burden to carry. Kaiya pondered offering to help, but her short stature and arm strength told her it was a no go. She could barely lift from her shoulder up. Still, that didn't stop a grin from spreading across her lips. Somewhere deep, the way her heart beat told her she had loved every minute of this. It wasn't just placing yourself in danger, it was the possibility o finding something new. Finding out what her brother was up to had gotten her attention. Being able to aid him or even stop him from destroying himself had made her feel useful. Of course the situation wasn't likely that dire, but maybe this was why she needed that lift. She could really start to extend herself for her family now. Those physical dives of desperation had been backed with real, growing strength this time. The connection of her head with the wall hadn't even knocked her out clean. Instead it pushed her into gear like a raging midget. She saw a light in being that way. Helping made her feel good, even if it was a last minute save. Kaito hadn't shown any pride yet. He hadn't shown much of anything but a passing notice to them. Seeing him in the air as she'd been sprinting away had brought real terror to her heart. She wasn't sure if he had even registered them as family and friend. They might as well have been the ants he spoke of, crawling over his leftovers. His eyes were depth-less now, leaving her with the notion that he wasn't completely intact. Something had been broken off or lost, and it was continuing. Coming up to the door of the ship she paused, her hand on the wall. The air felt too thick, and stepping in was enough to chill her body over completely. She went to the kitchen first to find him, unaware of his view at the cameras. Experimentally she dipped her fingers into the water that had warmed itself earlier. Now it was ice cold, quickly stagnating. She popped the drain once more and left it, moving to the fridge and drawing her hand along the edge of the counter. Nothing had been moved inside, his orange juice untouched with pulp settling to the bottle. He had been gone for so long over the day, but hadn't gone for anything to drink or eat. Or concern grew steadily. She would try his room second. Standing at the threshold, she used her boot heel to scratch her leg nervously. Almost hitting the panel she froze again, realizing whatever he had within she may not want to see. If he wasn't there she'd have no explanation, and that was somehow worse. WC:561 |

Cryo spent the trip back in silence more for shock than for her facade. The place was associated with this ainsou was now destroyed, which was extremely unnerving, to say the least. Normally, cloning was always a fairly questionable idea. For what path her species took, there were plenty of decisions that were completely considered valid rather casually, but individuality was still sacred, simply because it was only the individual who had lived for as long as they lived, to be themselves. Cloning normally warped that idea gracelessly and was a frowned upon idea. Very few forms of it were ever acceptable! ...However, at this point, her species was endangered, and Kaito had just destroyed that option. She felt painfully shut out, holding onto a single remnant. At this point, it was no longer a clone. The woman in her arms was hope. She was a primitive manifestation of an individual, but given a time such as this, she was complete enough to be a figure of drastic importance, able to make a difference that would echo out across hundreds of years. Even if she was violent, feral, and so on...She was a sister, now. Cryo's only younger sister she had left. Were there more children that were demolished, or was the idea of being spared relative, in that she was the only that was constructed in time? Either way, at least this one would be a hero, now. Cryognosis didn't want to think about it, but the question still hung over her. The factory was likely experimental. She couldn't just go to another one. Maybe things weren't so bleak, though. The others of her kind may have survived, after all. Even if the saiyan had finished extinguishing those of her kind on-planet, the exploring ainsou would be able to establish themselves elsewhere. This was essentially the minimal victory that her kind had made for itself, after all. Cryo tried to reassure herself for that much. ...It still hovered over her in a bleak way. The princess just couldn't put it out of her mind. As she walked, she felt the pain of her body. She was far past the point of being ready to collapse, and she attributed it to chemical fail-safes acting on the mind. The said pain certainly felt distant, after all. Granted, the wild one wasn't the only one she was carrying. Trailing behind her, the legion spirit that was abandoned was reclaimed into her rear hands. Cryo couldn't help but wonder: Who were these people to her, exactly? Maybe it would be safest for Cryo to split off from the pair while she still could, but then she would be abandoning Kaiya, who was in as much danger as herself, if for no other reason at all. Maybe she could whisk away the three of them, and leave Kaito to his internal brutality, wherever it may carry him. ...Running. Of course. How many nobles were good for only that much? Cryognosis's ears drooped. She glances over to Kaiya, who seemed to not be fairing much better. The little girl was thrust into a new world for some absurd reason that even cultural norms felt like they couldn't explain, and her body was battered by the back-to-back attacks, while her spirit was battered with the meeting of her brother that went terrible. Had the man even checked up on his own sibling? Cryo certainly hasn't caught it! No matter...They were at the ship. Cryo looked onto it, feeling an ominous radiance project from it. Going inside felt like stepping into a clear spot where she could let her body drop and decay for the wildlife, except unnervingly, it was closed off from nature. If she died here, she'd never bring her body to rest into nature. Her spirit probably would be stuck out of the cycle of reincarnation, thanks to that. Was she going to wander as a spirit, akin to the ghost she dragged with her? It was disturbing that she would be fated to the be some random haunting figure that would get caught and inevitably eaten by some predator in the distant future. It was a sad, hollow existence. Yet, Cryo found herself stepping into the ship. Perhaps she was braver than she gave herself credit for? ---She realized, not so much. She found herself brought to her bedroom door. This was about the only place left to go, she realized. Everything felt...distant. It was very strange. Cryo only now came to the conclusion that her pain wasn't feeling distant. It was numb. Why was it numb? Why did she feel tired? The unconscious bodies somewhat drifted away from Cryo, in their own ways. The legion spirit floated off from the inertia of an absentminded push, while the clone twin fell out of her arms and rolled to against the door. Cryo finds herself falling onto her knees, and then falls further with her legs folding into themselves. As soon as the upper segment and lower segments met, they seemed to become scooped up, though. Cryo exclaims a yelp as she looks down onto herself, seeing her flesh literally melt downward and dissolve into something strange. Her body was pouring into developing something beneath herself! This made no sense! Cryo tries to get up, but she felt glued to it, whatever it was. A collective of extended, thin shells quickly emerged out from beneath her legs, arching upwards rapidly and immediately surrounding her, scooping her up in between the whole group. Cryo manages to let out a screech of surprise before suddenly it all closes around her, like giant petals of a flower reversing the visual of a disturbing form of blooming! When Kaito sees the hall in front of the room Kaiya gave Cryo, he'd not find Cryo by then. Rather, he'd find a massive egg-like form, big enough to fit a person inside, and with root-like extensions dug into the floor of the spot. He wouldn't have seen the other ainsou either: The same had occurred to her, after all, the second egg closing up just after Cryo’s had. ---(WC)--- Kaito: 622=622 Kaiya: 561=561 Cryo: 1019=1,019 622+561+1019=2,202 |

It had not taken long for Kaito to locate his guests; and as he saw Kaiya approaching the fridge, he would watch with apprehension at this threat to his juice. She wouldn’t take it, would she? She joked about it, but she wouldn’t really take it from him, right? Right!? Ah, relief spread as the door was closed and his precious juice left unharmed. Then another nerve wracking view as Kaito watched his little sister begin heading for his room. That just wouldn’t do, now would it? Wake up. Awaken out of your dream. Preparing to go join her; Kaito would glimpse what looked to be two cocoon-like egg shapes growing in one of his ship’s halls; and while that brought up many questions, he figured Kaiya to be his best bet to answer them. Now, making his way out of the control room and back toward his own room, Kaito would prepare to greet his sister. Wake up. Realize who you are. There is no truth here; awaken from the shadows. With a smile on his lips, Kaito would materialize from the darkness behind Kaiya; ”Hello there, sister. Not planning to sneak into my room, are you? I don’t think there is anything that would interest a young girl such as yourself in there. Except the cookies. I have a lot of cookies.” Wake up. Wake up wake up wake up wake up! This isn’t real! None of it is real until you finish what you came for! Lightly patting Kaiya atop the head, he would begin to move her away from the door leading into his room. ”By the way; your friend seems to have gone into a cocoon in my hallway. I think you should inform me of just where you found her, little sister. Go on.” ----- WC: 300/922 |

She raised her hand to knock, taking a deep breath. She hadn't been in her brothers room yet. She realized she hadn't even seen the inside at a glance from the hallway. Just like Tomoko's, it remained locked and forbidden to her. Even just standing here fired at her senses. She didn't sense him melding out of the shadows, becoming one with the darkness. Like Slenderman he simply couldn't be detected. Not until it was too late. And it was. She saw his shadow against the door and half turned, seeing only a figure and the glare from his glasses against the light. With a scream, the girl bolted forward. She connected solidly with the closed door of his room, immediately winded as the force knocked her back. She hoped she would at least fall into her brother. She would faintly reach up to steady herself, grabbing for her shirt and pulling tight so she wouldn't drop completely. She wanted to pretend none of that had happened, collecting herself and smoothing her hair back with a sheepish grin. “I wasn't going to sneak in. You just vanished before we could find you...” We, she had meant her friend but the woman had disappeared from her side. A quick search told her that she was not in the hallways or lingering in the kitchen. She frowned when he continued. “You have cookies? Why don't you share. All we have are Oreos and those just made her sick. And I didn't really FIND her anywhere special...She was in the hangar.” Because she had left it open. She wasn't really eager to mention this part to her brother, or the mess that they'd left on the floor. She wanted to skim as much of the long story as possible. “She doesn't speak basic! I don't know her name yet but she can say mine...And sorta yours.” WC: 312/873 |

What happened...? Cryo glances about herself, rising from where she lay, mere moments before. When did she fall over…or get here, to start with? Darkness stretched out into all directions. A solid black…yet… Looking upon herself, Cryo realizes something wonderful and unnerving simultaneously. Her body! It was back to normal! She had shed the form she had somehow acquired since the crash! It was wonderful! …it was terribly frightening, too. Why is it, that in a total darkness, she saw her own body blatantly clearly, as though she was standing in daytime light? In fact, there weren’t even any shadows or inconsistent shade to her presence, as though the light was coming from all directions equally. Cryo steps back quickly, looking upon where she stood. More blackness. What was going on?! She contemplated the nature for a few moments, before starting ahead. There was nothing here but confusion, but if she moved forward, perhaps she could find something? Surely the world around her didn’t entirely vanish. That’s when she tripped, however. With a yelp, the princess suddenly finds herself laid out forward along the ground, with a sore pain to note her clumsy notion. However, when she brought up her head, Cryo suddenly found a disturbing sight. Death It was everywhere. Once beautiful plants torn and charred, ranges of beautiful land ripped open and mushed messily, and worst of all, the corpses of many fine warriors, body resting in their wait of decay while their souls moved onto their next lives. Cryo didn’t share this state, though. A survivor, she still lingered in the world with her dying kind. She gives a frown, collecting her battle rifle. Did that even do anything worthwhile? Military grade goods didn’t even faze her opponent! She starts forward, moving to over a mound, and spots the area where she was sure a hidden getaway was at, and from another spot, where her enemy was, from a distance away. An ainsoid, whom she had never seen the likes of until as recently as numerous months prior, was taking a break, resting on a mutilated corpse as casually as to perch on a bench. It had two arms, wore plated armor unlike any material she’d ever seen with her eyes, and worst of all…that tail. Cryo readies her rifle, propping it against her prim-left arm’s shoulder as she grips the top handle of it with the prim-left arm, and the bottom handle with her hind-left arm. Cryo’s head leaned into the side of the rifle, and she took aim to the tail of the being. A good shot at the base could do it. It could end everything. …yet…her aim was shaking. Why? She narrows her eyes, and makes the shot. The shot hit! But…Cryo’s hopes crumbled instantly. The weapon fell out of her hands as her eyes lay onto the form of the being. The tail was barely phased. She starts to back away. The being is suddenly right in front of her, in the flick of the wrist! It immediately grasps onto her prim-left arm by the shoulder, and with a sharp movement, quickly pulls her onto itself, its other hand already onto her neck. She tries to call out for help, but given the tight grip, she obviously wasn’t going to make any noise. The princess probably would have managed out something to retaliate, but in the same type of instant, the ainsoid had already stepped away. It was holding something red and bloody, too…and Cryo felt a terrible ache. She looked down to witness a massive gaping hole in her chest. She brings her arms helplessly to the wound, but she immediately loses all sense of energy within her and collapses. Cryo suddenly snaps out of her daze. She looked to the left, towards a battle rifle gripped in her arms. She didn’t make the shot? None of that…just happened? No. of course not. Cryo knew better. Narrowing her eyes unto the monster, she lowers her weapon. There was nothing she could do. The villain had left itself so open to taking a blow across many times, yet nobody ever seemed to be able to injure it even halfway decently. No. It was better to run. Regroup the soldiers, and lead the final push against him. She had all the pockets of resistance memorized, after all. They could gather a focused counter-strike, maybe do something damaging. Ok, it hadn’t worked any of the previous times, but the fiend was casually waltzing into encampments and clearing them out of any life. Cryo starts towards the hidden passage’s direction, keeping her weapon gripped but lowered. There was nothing to do. Suddenly, she pauses. It was gone? Out of the blue, a terrible, sharp pain flared up from her back. She cries out in pain, and stumbles back along a pull. Her mane! The being had its hands around her feather mane! She feels breathing unto along the bottom side of her left ear, then low, feminine a voice comes out. It was in Trade Language, something she had only started studying fairly recently, so she wasn’t quite sure if it was saying what she thought it was: “Quite smart. Cowardly, but smart. You were going to run away while I wasn’t looking, weren’t you?” With a sudden shove forward, Cryo stumbles forward, and then altogether topples unto a body. She could have sworn she felt a push down onto her back, to make sure she found the dirt with her face. Where her head rested, she was quite horrified, though. Eyes widened at the blood that also was splashed against her face. The princess had rather literally buried her noise into one of her comrades, who was literally torn in half! Cryo tries to manage out a scream, a shout, a roar…ANYTHING…but nothing came out of her dry throat. As the woman stares on, a disturbing, completely inane shift of topic comes to mind which she couldn’t understand…but she had to admit, the corpse looked tasty. No, that was the hunger talking, being stuck stranded amongst corpses so long. Suddenly Cryo is pulled sharply up by the hair at the base of her scalp. The movement was so swift that it made her feel lightheaded and ill…that is, if it wasn’t purely the horrible stench of death. Again, breathing. This time the right ear. “Run along. Get the others. Get everyone. I love a battle. Give me a last stand…Make it amazing.” Some of those words didn’t quite make sense. She wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. Again, shoved back into the body. This time, the other half of the corpse. How disgusting. Time seemed to jump for more than mere moments, and Cryo found herself standing with a look as though she were looking onto a vehicle’s headlights. Again…so many people dead. This time it was much more concentrated, radiating out from the being, this…saiyan. Cryo was the last one standing. No, this couldn’t be won. How could she have been so foolish?! She wasn’t going to die here! Not like this! The ainsou quickly darts out, but suddenly she feels an arm tear through her side. Cryo gasps and falters to against the arm that she was impaled through, using it to stand off of. The wound was nonfatal, but terrible all the same. “Don’t worry. You’ll live.” She’s shoved off of the arm, and her head bashes painfully against the rocks. “Just barely, if without medical attention. My ki burned your wounds sealed, after all. You gave me my battle, so you’ll live. Consider it a present. Run along. Scrounge up some more! If I get another one…an EXILIRATING battle, I’ll let you live once more.” That voice was so condensing. So cruel. She didn’t understand all of those words, but she understood the point, and loathed it. Suddenly, cruelly, the being snapped angrily at her: “Now go on! I’m getting bored! Get out of my sight, beast!” Beast…were they all feral animals to it? Just…primitive, uncivilized creatures? She couldn’t die here. Cryo starts to pull herself up partway, and starts crawling away. She didn’t have the strength to get up entirely, and that pain burned painfully and terribly! There was no dignity to hold. She led everyone to death…everyone she brought forward dead…What was she thinking, toying with her own loyal servants’ lives in such a pathetic way?! Just to satisfy some urgency? Just to hope, if just enough die, someone will strike a fatal blow?! She was no better…not at all better than this horrible nightmare before her. Both of them toyed with lives like they were nothing, sacrificing them for their own whims…Why did she deserve to survive, any more than this monster? Darkness. Was she dead? Looking down upon herself, the feral ainsou clone decided something. No, probably not. She could move well, she could see well...If she was dead, well, she might as well have been alive, to a strange world. Strange indeed, she decided, as she looked upon the endless blackness. The clone flicks out her arms, head hanging lightly low. Her right hands curled up, then her left ones did so. Slowly, she pulls them somewhat downward-brought, bent to straight upwards... Indeed. Focus as she desired by her body's rhythm. "nya nya nyanya nyanyanyanyanyanya nya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nyanyanyanya nyanya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nya nya nya nyanya nyanyanyanyanyanya nya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nyanyanyanya nyanya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nya nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya nya" As she spoke the sacred words, Her body swayed in a cheery back and forth, fists jiggling out as though they were pawing to the air! She brings herself twisted to face the right, and paws out a moment! She brings herself twisted the opposite way, and paws out once more! All in the while, a cheerful bounce! It was so exhilarating to let this feeling out! ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwUqUjDX9ak ) ---(WC)--- Kaito: 622+300=922 Kaiya: 561+312=873 Cryo: 1019+1457=2,476 (Note: The clone's words are completely not counted.) ”The hanger? How did she get into the hanger? I had it all sealed up rather nicely, you know. I also noticed there seems to be a surprising amount of rubble right outside; and I don’t recall it being there before. Also, there seems to be some sort of faint smell in the ship now, and I’m thinking you had a hand in that too. Did you, little Kaiya? If I begin looking in the storerooms, am I going to begin finding broken pieces of things you’re trying to hide from me? I bet you I’d find a lot of destruction, wouldn’t I?” With a small smile, Kaito was guiding Kaiya through the corridors now, leading her down the halls and past the rooms until they were coming to the cocoons that had invaded his ship. ”And if you could explain to me what is going on HERE, it would be a rather helpful thing. I go out for less than a full day, and when I return, everything seems to have been changed around. Just what were you and this creature up to while I was away?” “Is there anything you feel you should share with me, little sister? Is this going to be a new pet? Some weird alien creature we should watch out for? Is it going to go crazy and rend my ship to pieces from the inside? For crying out loud, its in a damn cocoon. Is it going to come out of there as some giant beast that we’re going to have to take care of?” A moment of silence as a new worry came to mind; a frown crossing Kaito’s face for a moment. ”And, for the love of all that is holy, the most important thing I need to know; is it potty trained?” --- WC: 302/1,224 |

She fell into step beside her brother without any conscious effort. It was naturally assumed that as he moved and continued to speak, she would be required to listen. Carefully he broke down the evidence that she had thought so meticulously concealed. The rubble scattered around the outside of the ship, perhaps complete with the dust marking against the hull. She'd considered it to be too neat in the night for him to see, but he'd already spotted it. The faint smell had been guarded from her by familiarity. She'd spent so long inside without fresh air that she hadn't noticed that faint persistence. The floor hadn't been mopped very carefully, she noted in frustration. Of course the smell would remain. She wanted to correct him that she hadn't exactly had a hand in that. She'd given her something to eat, but really what had come after was nothing to do with her. “It...It wasn't exactly me. It was just an accident. I made her sick when I tried to share something to eat! She eats bananas, though, and that was fine but it was cleaned up...” The girl paused, feeling uncomfortable as vague details spilled out of her. She did not care to elaborate about what had been on the floor, or what was leftover. She still didn't want him checking the store rooms, of course. He might find the paper towels or discarded broken pieces. She hadn't been able to find a use for everything so she'd disposed of what couldn't be used. Now it felt a little wasteful. Reassuring him clearly did nothing as he took her on his carefully planned walk of guilt. It seemed to her that he was making sure she understood the gravity of the situation. It was slowly dawning on her. It hadn't gone so terribly but she had made more of a mess than she initially thought. As he mentioned her part as a possible monstrosity, however, every nerve in her screamed that it wasn't true. The look on her face changed to indignant even as the spied the cocoon. There was no argument she could make, because nothing about her new friend had indicated this ability. Her jaw dropped as she took it all in. She shuffled from foot to foot, her hands wringing together as she tried to think of any reasonable explanation. Instead, she burst. Rending his ship was also entirely possible. In the course of their antics they had discovered a crashed android, blown up a small hole in the ground and messed up the hangar. It could by accident that the two would careen around the ship until inevitably something was broken. But that wasn't a fair. Kaito had taken his younger sister on board knowing this was already a possibility. She was a kid. Ungainly and uncoordinated, discovering the world and ignoring common hazards. “She won't become anything dangerous, you are being overly sensitive Kai! If she'd wanted to become a fang toothed monster she could have done that earlier. S-she might not be potty trained. I think when her skin came off that might have been related to the bad food...” Her voice fell to a sheepish whisper. WC: 536/1,409 |

Both of the cocoons seem to almost respond, to their presence, in their own ways. A crackling noise sounded out from Cryo's, and during emitted sounds, the other cocoon joined in, before Cryo's settled, then the clone's afterwards. Though the cocoon's structure was mostly rigid, the sides pushed outward inconsistently as they made their noises, granted the movement was fairly faint. As they settled, a wave of warm energy washed over outward from the pair, one after another in the same type of pattern as prior: The release was an excess of manifested ki development being jettisoned, rather harmless and just projecting an influence of warmth. As the ki influence dispersed, the cocoons then fell idle once more. ...Except that there was one last trick they wanted to do for now. A pair of animalistic screeches shrieked out from the cocoons, releasing the air trapped inside, continuing for a few seconds before tapering off into silence. Cryo's mind hit a brief lapse of activity, but when it reawakened, Cryo found herself across a field of bodies...but this time, there was no sky, just infinite blackness, and there was no ground beneath the bodies, just an endless pile. She gives a shudder at the disturbing display, and starts to get to her feet, carefully as she could against the dead. She lets out a scream when suddenly one of the corpse's hands suddenly reaches out and latches onto her leg. Cryo quickly tries to pull away, off to the side, only to trigger a mass of hands to grab up onto her other leg. Just to be thorough, apparently, she felt a painful grip onto her tail's endings. Cryo reaches down to try to remove the hands one-by-one, but the impulsive foolishness was paid with a mass of hands reaching up and gripping onto her own arms. With a sharp yelp, Cryo's pulled down to tightly against them, the side of her head pressing against the horn of one of her kind. A head suddenly sprouts in front of the woman's eyes. Mauled brutally, it looked like it was ravaged by a wild animal. "You abandoned us." The head drops downwards-backwards against the bodies, as though they were just a body of water. Indeed, like a fluid, they splash out...they splash out blood, hitting Cryo's face. She reeled back as much as she could in her situation, heavily unnerved and struck silent. Suddenly, heads of varied severe injuries, even including missing chunks of flesh, start to rapidly pop up and roll away, managing a frustrated complaint per being, even ones who had their jaws ripped away! "Why did you?" "Are you really a savior?" "The Facrins are a sham..." "We will not be saved" "Do you even remember your goal?" "Are you in league with it?" "Why are you so weak?" "How dare you run?" "Do you envy yourself immortal?" "Coward!" The stress of it all accumulated as each one moved up then away, always varied except for that they are always so gruesome! Suddenly, Cryo lets out a scream and an explosion of ki flashes out. The princess feels her body free, and she quickly straightens up into standing, though it felt like she was floating in air. It was troublesome to reorient herself like this, but she managed to flail into a way of doing it...granted, Cryo was assuming which way was down. The pure white about herself faded, but a green fog swirled around her, wounds fluctuating but lingering roughly into the horizontal bands they rotated around, at some points gathering, other points splitting, and moving inconsistently in which way horizontally or the speed of such all in the while. At first, Cryo was mesmerized, but then she was horrified. Was this something about the bodies? No, she knew that they had emerged from the ones she destroyed. "Why?" Cryo's eyes quickly dart to take in where she heard the voice, and...After a pause, she manages out "Why what?" Suddenly, hands rest around Cryo, and she sharply turns to face what appeared to be a manifested ainsou from the winds, though she only caught it as it was dissolving back into the fog. It gave a response as it retreated: "Why did you kill us?" Ainsou start to emerge and retreat around her, inconsistently, again giving single lines: "Save yourself at our expense?" Cryo managed out a "No!", but immediately after, "Did you shot me? Seriously?" "It was a misfire, I swear!" Another mutters "You never participated on the front lines" "I can't fight well!", "You readily blasted us with that ki. You wanted to" "Stop it!", "Do you think you're innocent?" "I am!", "A wonderful being?" "How am I not?!", "Does everything you did get erased, when you save the survivors?" "I live for my people!", "Do you even care for us?" "Of course I do!", "You should have died honorably in battle!" "I never tried to make myself an exception!" Suddenly they all manifest into their fog-based forms around her, and start chanting words and phrases such as "Die", "Perish", "Kill yourself", "Go back and die trying to slay it", over and over. Cryo brings her hands onto her head, covering her face from their cruel eyes. She curls up, as though hoping it could help her escape their judgment. But...they kept speaking, kept calling, kept wishing her away... "NO! STOP IT!" Cryo flicks out into a standing-like posture, trying to release her ki to make them go away again---but nothing happens. Cryo falters, startled "H-how...?" Suddenly they all disperse, then gather again, in front of Cryo...emerging into the large form of her father. His prim-left hand draws forward, cupping her chin and pulling her face upwards, as though it was solid. However, when he speaks, it wasn't him. What seemed like a thousand voices speak out, stating one fact: "When you keep on living, surviving as you currently are...What will you do when you learn we are all dead?" Cryo is startled awake... At least...she felt she must have, in some vague idea of understanding... But she felt broken. All of her senses were completely blind, and her body seemed completely numb. She couldn’t move, couldn't comprehend the world around her...Was this...the death they demanded of her...? --- Life felt like it should have been so simple, though. As the clone relaxed, shaking her hands out with a small, silly smile, she suddenly leans back, and glances upwards to the void. Back in the shiny thingy, with all the shiny clean walls and tunnels, she saw that one child. When did she enter the shiny place? Never mind. That child was so strange...so unlike her...it was so interesting, and she was so curious. She wanted to follow that child, but that child had an encounter. She literally saw the being again and suddenly moves forward, following. Yes, that little long-hair kid. What did she have on her own mind? Was she a fun person to be around? Would she like to hunt with her? Sure, she could hunt that child, she seemed harmless enough, but she was alone. The clone was naturally drawn to the image of something similar of itself, and it was of a sense of kinship that dispelled the aimlessness that she woke up to. The feral wasn't really sure where she was going with this, honestly. She could try to call out with some method to communicate or something, perhaps, but all she knew how to make were guttural growls and unsettling roars. It was doubtful either were appealing to the ears of a hopeful friend. So, silence. Silence was the best. Suddenly the child had stepped to the side, and cloaked to behind a wall. The clone pauses, and reaches out to touch along it. So smooth. So chilly. So Hard. It was like a shell.. ...Ah...a shell...her horns, of course! The clone immediately leans forward, and rams her horns against the wall! However, with a sharp strike...She felt an intense pain, and reeled back with a whimpery noise. How could this shell not be pierced?! How embarrassingly useless her horns turned out to be! Ugh! She sulks, and starts forward, remembering that child. Can they hunt together? She'd love that! Maybe her horns can dig through something! The clone turned the corner to pause, startled. ...The child had her hands wrapped around some filthy thing. How unnatural and unsightly...Why had the thing not shed?! They do shed, don't they?! Or were they weird! No matter. Such filth was unnerving and disturbing! Besides, this imposter invoked the ire of her friend! They can eat this enemy together! The feral draws forward, happy and interested as the futile struggle only landed that filthy impostor of her friend into more trouble. ---Then suddenly a most disturbing image emerges. 'NO!' her mind cried out, letting out a rather muted screech of dismay, from the little air she had happened to collect into herself before the sudden shock of the sight kicked in. She...had struck her own friend. How could this be...? No...Wait. This 'her' was injured along the left side, and covered in strange skin. Was this another disturbing abomination...?! No, no matter...her friend... she...was the child dead? No! It can't be! She steps forward, frightened but wishing to help. ...These two. These two enemies killed her friend! No! She will not have any of this! The clone dives forward, aiming for vengeance! ...Then suddenly she's standing in the corridors of the alien cavern again. What just happened? A premonition? Y-yes...it must have...Wait! There's the friend! No, she had to save her! Save her from the filthy fake! The clone quickly rushes to her, and the child turns to her, startled. The feral woman grasps onto her elbows with her own hands. Surely she would struggle, but this was to save her! ---Suddenly she twists out around her grip, and the clone reels back to try to follow into an intense, sudden pain! Her mane! Her wonderful feather mane! Why was her own friend gripping the mane?! Suddenly she was kicked down into the ground, and her friend walked away, while she was disabled of movement by the overwhelming agony. Whimpering out a registered pain weakly, she watches her friend move out to death... Suddenly, she's standing again, in the corridor... Maybe...maybe if she doesn't move this time...she could save her? That didn't make sense...but maybe something she did caused that injured mirror of herself appear? Suddenly she finds herself gored through the side, and the clone finds herself crumpled against that mirror...that terrible...vicious mirror...why so violent...why side with such an abnormal monstrosity...?! Was this being even one of her own kind? Such a resemblance, not only to what her species must look like, but also to her own appearance itself! Yet so violent...so evil... Again, she resets into standing, pain gone...everything repeating. This was bothersome, but...The clone moves forward. Maybe something could be done differently in this loop of time...After all, she has plenty of tries, no matter how much they hurt! Today, she can be a hero to her friend! At some point, she wasn't sure...it all suddenly ended sharply. Time to wake up. Waking up is the time, right...? ---(WC)--- 1,043+828=1,871 Kaito: 622+300+302=1,224 Kaiya: 561+312+536=1,409 Cryo: 1019+1457+1871=4,347 Total: 1224+1409+4347=6,980 |

As Kaito was debating on what to do with the cocoons in his ship’s hallway, he would be taken aback a bit as they started reacting. ”See? Now they are moving. Moving means they are reacting to us being here. For all we know about them, they might be about to release some sort of deadly defense, like poisoned barbs or gas or who knows what else. I worry about you, sister; that is why I am strict with you. Now, why don’t we back away and think on what to do about these things. I’m thinking, maybe fire..” As Kaito was about to pull Kaiya away; the sudden release of warm air from the cocoons would stop him; one eye twitching as he took a moment to think. ”Did those cocoons just fart? I think they did. What kind of critter did you get yourself entangled with, girl?” As he was about to say something else; he would be silenced by the sudden screech tearing through his ship; a sound that made him want to claw his eyes out; a sound that was emanating from those cocoons. ”Right. These things need to go. Kaiya; go back to your room. Big brother is going to get rid of these obstructions.” As he spoke, Kaito’s energy was beginning to gather in his fingertips, his right arm lifting up with palm forward, pointed toward the cocoons. ”Now, don’t be afraid of what you might hear, little Kaiya. This is for your own safety; I can’t risk these things being dangerous to you. You understand, don’t you? Even if you don’t, you’ll understand in time.” Springing to life around his body, Kaito’s aura would shimmer a twilight purple; the energy pouring through his body beginning to take form at his palm, an orb beginning to form. --- WC: 303/1,527 |

Kaiya stood still in the hallway. She had no idea what was happening inside those cocoons, but it wasn't immediately frightening. They were still when she first approached. It was nothing significant. She knew that out of most cocoons came transformation or beauty. She'd heard of butterflies from earth. A small caterpillar emerged with the power of flight. Colorful wings that could either send warning to a bird intending to prey on it or blend in with its surroundings. Even moths held her interest. She hadn't heard of anything in the natural progression becoming hostile simply from entering a cocoon so her reaction was benign. She even reached out to touch the surface. It felt firm, she could push on it and it wouldn't bend inward easily. She was too nervous to exert her full pressure. If she burst it and the woman wasn't ready, would she cause some horrific injury? She'd seen the wet wings of a newly “hatched” butterfly. They were at their most fragile then. A light touch could irreversibly damage the wing. She was already stepping back when the first sound issued forth. The air around the cocoon seemed to crackle and at first she simply took it for static in the air. She froze, her eyes coming to rest on the two cocoons that had massed in the ship. The things seemed to be moving now, but she was shaking her head in denial. Her brother might be right, but she wouldn't admit it so easily. The woman had saved her life, literally. It hadn't been an easy miss, it was a seconds ticking by and darkness rushing on her situation. Kaito could worry about her all he wanted but she could make her own decisions. She could make her own judgment on who would or would not be safe. She needed to make that decision now. “S-she might be able to hear us inside. That is all. If we just back away and leave her be there won't be any need for defense like poison gas. You are making a big deal out of nothing! You aren't strict enough if you left me alone for a day and let me make friends on my own like this. You only have yourself to blame.” Her voice didn't waver. She glared at him severely, not ready to simply let him walk over her in a situation such as this. She needed to protect her friend even if it was from the concerns of Kaito. Kaito who had helped raise her. The poor girl was torn, this was a leap of faith. She was pulling her arm away as he stepped forward when the release of air came. His response to it brought a smile to her face. It hadn't occurred to her. No odor drifted out with it. In fact this felt energizing and comforting. It was like standing in front of a heater on a winter day. What was so intimidating about that? She listened to her brother speak a second time and her hope plummeted. He was still convinced it was doing something wrong. How could she convince him otherwise? Maybe getting him away from the cocoon was the only way possible. She stepped towards him, placing her body in front of the cocoons. She was only a few inches away, protective. Her gaze was fierce. “I don't know what she is, but she is harmless to us! She saved me down in whatever lab you were attacking! You have to give her the benefit of the doubt for that at least! I could be dead without her.” Her shrill protest was cut off by the horrific shrieking from the cocoons. Her whole body shuddered suddenly and violently. The sound made her teeth hurt, vibrating all the way down to the nerve. It seemed to be going on in unison from both cocoons. She covered her ears, trying to press the sound out but it broke through her defenses. Only lasting for a few seconds, it was enough to shake her. Not her faith in the sweet alien, but enough to make her nervous about the form it would be taking. “I'm not going to let you. You can't destroy this. You especially can't use fire, you'll heat the walls anyway! Please listen to me. She had plenty of chances to hurt me if she wanted to, but she hasn't! She won't come out of there like a mindless beast I promise you! Please listen, Kaito, brother of mine! My judgment is sound on this. She is my friend and she means me no harm! If you hurt her, I won't be able to trust you anymore. If you take my friend away from me you will be no better than the murdering bastard who took Tomoko! Don't you think she would give this woman a chance to prove herself first?!” Her voice fell to pleading pitch. She stood firm in her place in front of the cocoons, her arms spread wide. He might be able to fire past her, but she was preparing. Her muscles tensed, leg muscles first and she was quickly gathering how much space she really had to leap and attack in the enclosed area. While Kaiya was producing her speech to defend the two ainsou, the cocoons gave what may well have been interpreted as a speech, but genuinely, was merely a coincidence. They were likely muffled out by Kaiya's voice easily, unless if either or both of them were paying attention, but they emitted throughout the dialog. At first it was a brief crackling. However, it occurred again and again, the intervals between crackles being roughly even, and the crackling being progressively more prolonged, and at some points, a little more intense. Considering the somewhat cramped size, it probably was a struggle to actually have a comfortable posture, after all. It gives a pause, though, roughly around the time that she finished speaking. A sharp crack was emitted, probably sufficient to disrupt the train of thought. When her body suddenly feels active, it is enough to throw Cryo off. However, she's able to adapt. It was familiar...a wonderful sensation. Her body has returned back to normal... At first, it felt like she was suffocating, though. Cryo shifted, trying to free herself, and becoming increasingly panicked. She was going to suffocate! She didn't want to die! It was very hard to move, though, especially at first. Fortunately, after a couple of shakes, the cocoon had managed to free up. She was surprised that she had not even felt the effects of coming suffocation, though. There wasn't really much time to second-guess that she needed to become free, though. Cryo feels some of the air flow into the cocoon, but she couldn't see the cracks of light that seeped through, since none of the cracks happened near her face. Felt slightly groggy, and...Unnerved. This wasn't her body. This wasn't how it felt. It felt...foreign, and she was at first afraid to use it. She was so distraught over it, that she didn't realize where she was. ...Realizing such made her feel even more awkward. How was she breathing, being jammed into whatever was encasing her?! The clone started to break herself free, as well. Before long, she managed to finally produce one last push to free herself, feeling herself becoming broken from away from the cocoon around her, finally. The loud crack of movement was significantly muted towards her, to Cryo's fortune, so honestly she was not aware of the volume she produced. Without a sense of hesitation, her body rips away from its previous placement, releasing another crack as the cocoon suddenly shatters into its individual 'petals' that scatter about the immediate proximity. With much pride, Cryo halfway-reflexively announces a roaring noise out, without a general target. As she calmed down, her body settled into a fairly basic standing posture, and her ears were twitching upwards with delight. Finally...Cryo felt free. The clone was hesitant, at first, about the idea of freeing herself. She wasn't sure she liked her body now, after all. However...it was her maturity. She knew, inward, that this was something of a maturity, anyway. It felt...more proper, admittedly. The truly feral one enters a similar struggle as to Cryognosis's, but less frantically, having calculated, appropriate bursts of motion in place. Soon enough, she had broken the petal-like fragments into a propped-outward position to break. Gathering inward some strength, she suddenly pulls her body outward, ripping the cocoon open with a single, decisive movement. As the cocoon essentially exploded out, the feral one half-leaps upward-forward, using her primary hands to help stand up, while her outstretched legs reached to her original seating position. Similar as Cryo, the clone releases a roar. However, this one was closer to a decisively higher shrieking noise. Mentally, Cryognosis reflects on the changes. Her horns, formally an outward-then-upward bended angle, felt practically clumsy and decorative rather than truly effective. She heavily preferred how they now merely curved outwards, and reached with much more height. The dark design may well have been less eye catching, but no less, she approved of it. The ridges of subtle intervals along the length were the side effect of some softer segments, so that they wouldn't so stiffly take impact and be less likely to outright snap and break. The more prominent irises were part of the development of that they could release ki into emitting a soft light, giving the eyes a somewhat sparkly-like visual. Her mane of feathers were more prominent and thick, able to puff out more impressively, and with stronger muscles laid beneath to help her pull back sharply when needed, as well as the hint of a slightly better internal form that was able to better bear her arms' potential of capacity. The prominent tail now with her form was great to counter-balance, especially to literally throw out in respect to weight, and the split that completed roughly halfway through was effectively natured to vary how much it brought counterbalance into up to two directions, never mind to wrap around things with its powerful muscle to give her a better opportunity to twist around and strike. The shift of leg design was more natural of her species, and the way they moved in a lunge made her better able to outright pounce unto foe. The furred long ears were lengthier and the fur was able to better disrupt sound flow by some subtle update of design. Naturally, the extra pair of arms were available still, but now they were set more separately of the primary arms, better able to move properly, and even separately supported from against the spine, and her rib cage within was better adjusted in respect to the layout of skeleton. ...It all came to much joy to Cryo. Not much to the clone, who felt troubled. The initial half of her old horn design, after all, had better direct integrity against impact, even with its inferior reach, and a gore along the surface was quite effective to rip open wounds, as akin the movement she was used to in mid-fight. The old ears were more forward-faced, and broader open. Sure, they were more vulnrable to a sensory overload, but the peak effectiveness was more focused to general purpose than to listen against the movements. The feather mane felt like it was troubled to get into the way, and she felt the tail was unnecessary complexity to the body. The leg design of regular-jointed nature was much more apt, she felt, for long treks forward. The unified shoulder arm base gave a given arm much more capability to weight bearing, which was preferable to her, sine she doubted the utilization of both arms to a side would ever be often necessary. This new design felt...woefully inefficient. Also, the feral was quite unnerved with Cryo's recolorations. True, the green of her own hair became more prominent, but her and feathers were brown, even though the tips were still white, and the eyes were red as they were before. She did not mind looking different, now, in the colors as her bitter enemy had...but...No less, the clone was bothered that someone's colors could be lost to themselves, as it had happened. However, as her form settled, the clone found a good opportunity. That child...She had her back to the clone. It was perfect! Now she could have her revenge! No, not to the strange mirror that had shed some of the similarity of appearance, but rather, the child. As her ears leaned forward, the clone felt anger rapidly well up into her, and with almost no time, she sprang forward, aiming to gore the guilty victim against her horns! Cryo was quick to actually notice this, and quickly, she twisted in her posture and leapt forward, intercepting the copy about halfway through the air! She didn't waste any time to quickly place her primary-right arm onto the side of her face, and give a glare. ...There was a small pause, as the two ainsou gave glares at each other...but Cryo moves off of her, and with a quick flick of the head, motions to the legion spirit. The copy starts to rise up reluctantly, glaring off towards the imposter of her former friend, but occasionally casting a look back towards the spirit. ...She was hungry, admittedly, and the child was off limits. ...No matter. Maybe she could get an opportunity later. For now, she would yield. Something happened when she was originally struck down, and she felt...unnervingly weakened. Maybe the side-effect to whatever attack was made the first time, not being received well? No matter. With a clear expression of frustration, the ainsou retreats to the strange softly glowing mass of...limbs...? It looked like she could just take her anger out on her food, to which she openly digs in. The princes happily looks to Kaiya, and gives a proud smile "Kaiya! Kaito!" with this, she turns her attention to the spirit she designated, and starts feasting on it as well. The spirit would only be good for so much, true, but at the same time, there were still the cocoons that were left behind. She noted, in the back of her mind, that unless if Kaito was in the mood for more extreme moves, that Cryo could at least recycle the cocoons as a diminished-effective food to devour. ---(WC)--- 891+642=1,533 Kaito: 622+300+302+303=1,527 Kaiya: 561+312+536+878=2,287 Cryo: 1019+1457+1871+1533=5,880 Total: 1527+2287+5880=9,694 |

His own sister stood before him; preventing him from carrying out what needed to be done for her own safety. What mockery was this from the goddess of fate? I’ll have to remember this when I meet her. Manipulating bitch. What cruel twist of fate this situation is becoming. ”Listen, dead sister; they are beginning to move and hatch. Get away from them before something happens. You don’t know how dangerous this could be. What they might emerge as. They could be a danger to you now; you don’t know anything about these creatures and I will NOT let you risk yourself simply because you are a child who does not know any better! Now move aside!” With his anger growing the closer and closer the cocoons seemed to be to hatching, Kaito would glare at his little sister; determined to make her see reason; to make her understand. ”Listen, Kaiya; I am the only one here to care for you. I’ve lost you once, and I will not let that happen again. It might make me seem a bit cruel, but this is a situation and creature we know nothing about. It is a DANGER to you until we can determine otherwise. Do you understand? Do you understand what I mean? I am only looking out for you.” But then it was too late; the cocoons were hatching, and the beasts were emerging. They looked designed to be feral, as far as Kaito was concerned. Feral was dangerous; and dangerous was a threat to his sister. Already, he could see one of the beasts making its way for her; though before he could let loose his fury, the other seemed to intervene. Then things got weird. Are they eating a ghost thing? I think they are. Well, this has just become a very weird development, hasn’t it? ”You told it my name? Well, no matter. See; that one already tried to get at you. They are a danger. --- WC: 329/1,856 |

He seemed indignant to her at first. Probably frustrated. She wasn't used to standing up to him and she found herself floundering for words after her brave stand. He hadn't been affected by her words at all. He did not trust her judgment. The new girl didn't have any place to be correcting him, clearly. Her frustration would show, brows furrowing as she eyed him. The shifting behind her would continue. The noise behind her seemed to grow. The shrieking had stopped but there was a fibrous stretching as the beings within the two cocoons continued to force against it. The scrabbling drowned out the details, making it sound like simultaneous. No sound reached her after, but It seemed a tree had exploded. Instead of some foul liquid washing against her ankles and staining the ship, it was soft petals. Almost a wonderful surprise against expectation. Her eyes widened, dumbfounded . She turned a little to see that one of them had emerged. The second cocoon was still a mystery now. She hadn't seen the woman keep the clone, but perhaps the ectoplasmic guest would be contained somewhere inside. She turned back to her brother with a more triumphant and confident smile. “And nothing happened. How does that feel? I was right. She is my friend and I know her. She is absolutely no threat to me. Why would you be prepared to use fire in the first place? If it is only a danger until you can decide, why not quarantine the cocoons or something that isn't completely deadly! What if you'd killed her!? This isn't fair. I know you are trying to keep me safe but you have to give me the benefit of the doubt! If I brought her on board, chances are it wasn't because she tried to kill me first thing!” She smiled wider at him, locking her fingers behind her back and leaning on her heels. There was another puff of petals around her. Curiously she looked down at the floor, tempted to pick one up and try the texture. She hadn't faced either woman fully yet. Hadn't seen the changes that had come over her. She was still trying to show her brother that nothing would happen. It wasn't going to work. The movement to the side of her sped up and she realized it was yet another four armed woman. This one charged, those deadly horns lowered and ready to split her skin like a pinata. Part of her was all too aware how right this made Kaito. She would stumble back abruptly. A shadow fell over her form and she flinched, expecting the secondary creature to come down on her. She prepared herself for pain that never came. Instead it was like a mid air collision, and the agility of her friend impressed her. She was able to intercept and Kaiya would live one more day. She'd get to hear her brother tell her he told her so and how right he was. Her frustration was only hidden momentarily. She was shaken, realizing Kaito had remained quite still. He had very little chance to get to her from where he stood. Humiliated, she weakly smiled at him anyway. She refused to let it be that easy. “See? She let nothing happen to me. You were scared for nothing.” She moved over to Kaito's side, still wanting to put a little distance. Now she could see the changes fully. The second one, the clone it must be, seemed to hold an impressive level of hostility towards her. There was an angry glower on her face that seemed to be entirely focused on her for a moment until something else was pointed out. Perhaps something for nutrition after such an impressive change. The woman's mane was thicker. The curve of the horns became an intimidating reminder of danger. She wanted to turn away from the more grotesque happenings after but part of her was still fascinated. They must need a fast source of energy intake because they were devouring the ghost that the woman had brought earlier. The possibilities with this alien wold were endless. What else would she be able to learn? What abilities could they unlock together? The feast was still a little too much for her to watch. More than a couple of minutes and she retreated behind Kaito. “I did tell her our names. I thought it would be better if she knew who to call for if she needed us. And she can learn to associate words this way.” WC: 763/3,050 |

Cryo found eating a spirit weird. In a sense, it felt like she wasn't eating anything filling. However, that thought felt like a too-soon discerned response, considering that even fairly immediately afterwards, she felt like it settled into meaning something to devour after all. It wasn't quite like that, either. Biting into the 'flesh' of a ghost felt nothing like biting into an actual physical flesh, and it felt warm to bite into, yet it did not actually give its heat to into her mouth as she ate it. ---A kind of idea where if she let it get very hot, it would still not burn her. No less, the princess had to admit she was hungry as well, so she would use this as a food. It worked as a food, she felt, and didn't have the displeasure that oreos gave her. No...This would be good to eat. Perhaps, in further hindsight, it felt foolish to even call it filling. It was simply energizing. The fake-Cryo found herself to hold a pretty similar understanding of the strange mass...She wasn't quite sure what it was, to be honest. Was this some type of alien delicacy? Was it their natural prey? There was something...missing, and it made what wasn't missing hard to pin down, on what it precisely was. No matter, though. Food was food, evidently. She would have to be picky and take her time with the whole matter, else she upset the imposter. The whole situation was frustrating, and for more than hunger, the clone of Cryo tore into her nourishment. The feeding habits were clearly being regulated against the ainsoids, so far. She was not part of this little pack, and she wasn't interested in joining these murderers. Her friend had a good reason to attack the child that she was going to continue the carried attack unto. All-in-all, the wild one couldn't get out of her mind that the effort was a frustrating exercise, but one she would have to endure. The clone, at first, found the struggle of the foreign being to be underwhelming. Did it not understand it was about to be eaten, or was she eating ill food? Was she going to inherit whatever diseases left this thing weak? After first biting into the entity, the copy reeled back worriedly, expecting some terrible side effect to take hold. However, the most 'terrible' was that the being had merely wriggled weakly beneath her palms. ...Well, it was better than nothing, surely. Concerned, and with ears down, the copy looks over to Cryo, observing her own blatantly obvious intent in the action of eating. If her superior of combat was taking to this, perhaps it was not so bad after all. The ghost struggled at first, but it was quickly subdued, having already been weakened earlier. Although she relentlessly tore into it, as the eating went on, bits of slowdown and pickiness foreshadowed that the two probably would not eat the legion spirit all the way through. Soon enough, it started to get left alone by Cryo. She was charged into a wide awake state, the feeling of exhaustion from the metamorphosis completely leaving her body. Her body was even completely working with her mind on this, to the ainsou's delight! This gave her ideas to contemplate, but for now, that train of thought was quite off topic. Cryognosis decided to let the clone do as she will, too. Feeling this refreshed, she felt like she was more ready to go toe-to-toe with her. Given that capability, the clone had not really shown itself to be especially capable. It was terribly unrefined in its movements, savagely ripping forth. It wasn't that the clone was feral. A truly feral identity did lend to its own nature, something that found distinct by her own faked wild status. However, beyond that, there was an immature lack of comprehension. She could certainly move her body as she wished, but it worked too well. Cryo noticed how the ainsou had acted in a type of impulsiveness where it did not even act coherently, as a readied foe would laughably easily react into a counter as she had just done. The body obeyed a frantic 'all forward' sort that it was amazing that the fake entity was amazing just for simply not outright stumbling onto itself. She noticed it, too, in the way she ate. It was savage, and if the ghost was even minimally bloody, that green-hair would have been coated in the fluid. ...This made it quite embarrassing that Cryo was struck down, even considering that she was injured and caught on surprise. It was a foolish failure on her own part, especially since she should have been alert of more hostiles, after seeing the clone of Kaiya. Why had she not considered that she, too, was copied?! ...Perhaps that strange device had something to do with the experience that the pair had endured. That would explain why Kaito had not arrived to the scene as a duplicate. The Cryo-copy noticed the difference, as well. To her, it was frustrating. The movements were as if her mind was read, and she did not understand, but there was so much power, even at first, in something that looked like it was the same as her in all aspects. This held true especially to before she was struck down from that weakening shot that the blue-hair had produced. She was certainly a practiced predator, in hindsight. She convinced herself a pretty straightforward realization: She could've done better than the blindly leap into the fray both times, considering that even with surprise, it did not work with her. Her mind was blank about a sense of history, but no less, she was smart. She was confident in herself and her abilities, and the ainsou lady of nature was not going to let this...'alpha'...get the best of her once again. Soon, there would be revenge indeed, the copy contemplated. This less violent woman between the two moved on, ready to join Kaiya. She moved across rather casually, and despite the drastic changes of body, pretty effortlessly. Her ears were raised, and tail flicking back and forth behind the legs, in a fresh, happy state. Then, Cryo stepped onto the fragments from her cocoon. Her eyes immediately darted down to them as she immediately stepped back off of it. There were much variance, in practice. The larger solid shell fragments, to the tiny bits that were indeed like flower petals. She gives a tilt of her head, ears reaching backwards, and her tail flicks upwards to where it lingered high into the air. ...Cryo understood that she had made a mess, and then suddenly lowers posture, ears and tail drooping down immediately. The endings of the tail pressed lightly against each other, as well. "Kaiya.." was said in a clearly sad tone. After a pause of nervous hesitation, suddenly, Cryo dropped down to using her secondary arms to help hold herself up. Cryo started to move about, collecting the pair of cocoons into a progressively more and more reserved pile. She had enough guilty pings making a mess out of Kaiya's things; she did not need to renew the concept in an exotic form! It was a while longer, and the copy had certainly eaten a lot more, but there was still plenty of energy 'flesh' left in the being. Pushing off of it, being freely rather careless of the helpless prey, the green-haired moves turns to face the other three of the shiny-cavern she was in. In hindsight...it was different, somehow, although feeling more cramped was a certainty. There was something of a larger imperative on her mind right now, however. There was an opening. Just, even one strike to gore the filthy imposter would have made up for many things. It did not entirely matter to her, it's not like she wanted to submit anyway. Ears leaned forward, and the clone starts to move into a posture...only to be reacted to by Cryo before it was even too outwardly apparent in what she was up to. When the clone started to move away, Cryo stops in her tracks with the cleanup. The princess certainly hadn't trusted this uncivilized instance of herself, after all. Her eyes met the other's with a glare, and a growl rumbled form her throat. Iit was only a few steps further, that the duplicate moved, that caused Cryo to more directly step into path between the fake and Kaiya. Cryo's ears flicked forward, but afterwards stayed so. Her posture, still lowered, shifted into an obvious readiness to charge. The horns were lowered, and suddenly, her mane of feathers puffed out into a broadly spread arch, covering much of the back and projecting significantly from it in a Mohawk-like form of white-tipped violet. Cryo wanted the clone to live, but she was not about to concede her own friend for someone who'd be untame for the potentially short life. The copy promptly reacted to the puffed mane by mimicking the posture and raising of the feathers herself. She was quick to observe and take after the blue-hair's movements, puffing out her own brown feathers. However, it lingered only for a mere moment, before she understood a simple fact. ...She did not learn how to fight any better than she had before, and even dismissing the three-to-one odds, any single between them all were more than capable of taking her on. At least, the ainsou had declared her own capability when she made the copy's face meet the floor two times over by now. The copy settled, and simply moves to near the ghost, sitting down and watching the two curiously. Her ears twitch forward a couple of times, but the clone remained silent and 'content' at this point. There would be nothing to be done for a long time, after all... Only as the copy colored after her temporary form had started to calm, did Cryo also calm in all the ways she let it known that she did not tolerate things. The Facrins were the leaders of the ainsou overall, and she was quite willing to push her status as the alpha between the two, even if this child-like matured-body entity was probably rather genuinely part of her bloodline. Besides, even if not for that, Cryo understood how thinly she was treading on a wire, and the fake-self was making a larger mess of it than Cryo had ever made physically, either time. She was rather worried about if they were about to be outright executed or thrown off the ship, and she did not want to test herself against how impressive Kaito was compared to how he looked, especially given that her back was turned to him. After some hesitation to ensure that the copy was not about to act up, the Facrin continued to clean up the cocoon mess. ---(WC)--- 1080+743=1,823 Kaito: 622+300+302+303+329*=1,856 Kaiya: 561+312+536+878+763=3,050 Cryo: 1019+1457+1871+1533+1823=7,703 Total: 1856+3050+7703=12,609 * - Congrats Kaito ^-^ 1 token! |

”Very well; since you seem so intent on fighting with me about this, I’ll let you keep your new pets. We’ll wait until Tomoko is back, and let her have a say in this. Maybe you’ll listen to her. In the meantime, however, I think it would be fitting to give these two a warning they might better understand.” With a smile to Kaiya that would fade once he moved past her, toward the two beastly women. Might have to be a little gentle with them; can’t be certain just how intelligent they are. Not too gentle, though; instill fear if possible and let them know you are not to be trifled with. His next step was a simple one; show them what was off limits, and what would happen to them if they so decided to ignore his oh so kind warning. Though he sensed no telepathic talent from the two creatures; Kaito had no doubt he could still work with their minds for what he intended. With his body positioned in the center of the hallway, facing the two creatures; his back now to Kaiya; he would begin his work. Kaito’s mind would reach out toward the two beings; not a gentle touch as he would use with someone else; but a forceful push like a train, demanding acceptance and attention. Like a spear, Kaito would project his thoughts into the forms of images to pierce through the mental defenses all minds tended to possess; his goal not to enslave or damage, but only to simply warn. The images flashing rapidly; images of Kaiya; a quick succession of images that showed if she was fine and smiling, all was good; but the images would quickly shift, showing her harmed; and with these new images would Kaito project something else. Pain and anger; Kaito would project those in connection with the images of Kaiya injured; soon followed by the images of what he would do should either of them harm her. Simply put, Kaito would rip them to pieces with his bare hands; if they were beastly in appearance, Kaito could be his own sort of mad feral in mind. --- WC: 361/2,217 |

Cryognosis already got a pretty good impression of what was coming as he started towards her. The fact that it was mental projections...No, there would no way that she would expect something that ranged from the concept of science fiction to outright fantasy. Even psytrans interfaces were sharply limited, after all, and worked with prepared technology. It was nothing like psychic powers. Ki? Entirely reasonable. There was a lot of study behind it. However, such mystical abilities were something that were detached from anything short of...well...to be blunt, wishful thinking. There was no underlying nature to them, roughly spoken. There weren't really any creatures who were native to her lands, which could do something even remotely like it. The clone didn't really get the jist of what was going on. She still had the blue-hair on the mind. There was a bitter resentmint still stiring in the mind, after all. Granted, when Kaito started to walk, the clone observed curiously. Her ears leaned backwards as she wondered what this could be about. Was he an idiot, or brave, or... --What was he up to, ultimately? The behavior to openly approach two ainsou seemed like a peculiar, foolish move. No matter, though. The copy's attention went back to the filthy child. The two closest to her were pretty distracted, after all. The new presence with himself, and the other ainsou with that said new being. She read the body language of the other woman, and got a jist that things were not entirely cheerful and curious. ...Why was that? Did they have a rough way to deal with the pack? Suddenly the green-hair was distracted with the boy. Why was it critical that the other of her species was caught up in his presence, as it were? There was, surprisingly enough, no aggressive postures, or even a wary one. He just seemed weird to her, ultimately. Nothing of a problem at all. Naturally enough, despite her earlier thoughts, Cryognosis knew he had something coming, and she knew it was something he would casually bring about. As he proceeded with a smile, she curiously watched the man. Nothing he ever did was even remotely good, after all. She'd hide the sense of wariness behind the also present curiosity, going about the work rather than to sit idle in the meantime. Then, he stopped. Kaiya probably saw from her angle that her feather mane puffed extremely slightly, thanks to her angle. However, more openly to the pair of pioneers, the princess gives a pair of twitches, sharply forwards, with her ears. Then...he made the mind-tricks. Surprisingly enough, when he started to bring his images in, he probably could have noticed that the mind seemed to receive them smoothly, as if a bit adjusted, even though ultimately there was almost no kind of difference: He still easily produced his presence against her mind, whether the lady liked it or not. This did still, because of its seeming fictional nature, catch Cryo sharply off guard. She reels back with a sharp screech at how it thrust at her mind, even though it was at first friendly. As the whole series of images cycled through, Cryo's posture poised aggressively much like the way she acted unto the clone, though without the growling noise to go with it. Cryo didn't really pay attention to the timings of her own reactions, but really, she probably wouldn't of cared. After all, what triggered her behavior was the mind interaction in the first place, and that was pretty disturbing on its own! If the original that the clone originated from could be called as being caught off guard, then where exactly, would one go to explain how the experience was for the copy? Probably pretty extreme in the wording, when a very lazy and minimal amount of effort was involved in describing that. Granted, it was probably even marginally lazier that how it honestly felt was not even being described. The effects, though, were. The copy sharply tensed up as her mind had another borrow against it. She felt broken inward, and it was psychologically agonizing. The most disturbing part, though...was that there were no body reaction. Nothing cried, nothing moved, just...a blank lockup. She felt herself numb all over, almost all at once. She was introduced to something dettached from reality, barely later than reality became a thing in itself. Even within her mind, she felt 'fritzed over', foggy in thoughts. At least, though, the invading thoughts were cheerful.and appreciated. A happy unity with the pack. An appealing recruitment, especially given how they were such murderers. Perhaps it wasn't all bad, simply put. She could never quite forgive them, but at the same time, they weren't bad, persay, either. The cheer had resolved a lot of tension and stress that she had been feeling ever since the attack, something she could not get from anywehre else, no doubt. Even with his weird power, what he drew out within Cryognosis was a bitter resentment and anger. Nobody lorded over the Facrins, and nobody threatened them with violent death. He may be excited and delusional with his powers, but the ainsou were too proud and strong, even in shambles, to ever be dismissed like this! ...However, she eases her tenses. His hostility was only when provoked, but more importantly, she had the intellect to discern the best way to deal with violent men such as him. Dealing openly with a saiyan was well enough of an example of how not to engage weird magical foe, and she wasn't going to throw herself off of a cliff just because another type of alien pissed her off. No. That is not how a noble and brilliant leader acts. That is the feral actions of one such as her new sister. Then the thoughts turned, so sharply. Immediately the clone found violence and brutality. The viciousness of the pack was stirred in the mind, and it embedded the ideas. A relation was keenly defined out of familiar example...A member, a capable unattacked member, and finally the aggressor onto it. The startling viciousness unlike anything she'd ever think of. To no stopping point, to no sense of self...just turned into rampaging murder. Was this...how people acted...? Her mind tried to sort out what it meant to be a person, and what it meant to be part of a group, whhen the images had sharply pulled away. There was a small stunned pause, as her body reassured the body that it had the right idea of idling while she was busy with her state. However...that would wear off quickly after, and everything went blank. The body, almost lifeless, almost casually collapses. At this point, it then it triggered in Cryo's mind. What of the sister?! Cryo's eyes immediately shot over to the sibling, startled. Seeing her open the ground startled Cryo, and she completely rushed across Kaito to her side, shaking her lightly and looking over her form for anything that must have happened. As she more fully lowered to check on her, a small growl escaped her lips, and she narrows her eyes at Kaito. ...He probably did not intend this, but he still hurt the clone. She was not very happy with the man, pretty much regardless. What Cryo was able to gather from her interactions was that the clone still was pretty well off. there was a fresh strength from what she could feel of her body, and it didn't have that post-mortom flesh breaking that could have signaled her passing. To be honest, she was also wary about how Kaito was able to impact the ainsou with an influence such as this. That last line of thought, however, struck an idea of what to do about the situation, but that would be something that would have to wait. Further, she wasn’t sure how connected the ideas were, so she was taking a bit of a gamble. ---(WC)--- 746+579=1,325 Kaito: 622+300+302+303+329+361=2,217 Kaiya: 561+312+536+878+763+0=3,050 Cryo: 1019+1457+1871+1533+1823+1325=9,028 Total: 2217+3050+9028=14,295 |

She didn't understand what was going on now. In confusion she stays at her brothers side and watches these unknown alien's converse. It isn't necessarily in sound, but she understands posturing when she sees it. Kaiya had at first been sure that a fight would break over the food presented. The feast of energy with very little substance. Instead the frustration still seemed to be directed at her. She trusted her friend implicitly to take the steps needed to get her under control but she wanted to see this. She wanted to see if they would speak to each other with her natural vocalizations. So far the woman had emitted guttural, feral noises in an attempt to learn her humanoid speech. It wasn't easy, so what would be? So far it wasn't happening. She felt a slight frustration at the lack of it. Green hair seemed perfectly confident. Her movements were a little clumsy but she was clearly not ashamed of her earlier charge or her intense focus. Why not speak to her own kind? She spent more than a few minutes on the conundrum while her brother was lost in his own thoughts. He was quick to fix whatever he perceived as a problem. She knew the obstacle was her own interference. His methods were too harsh for her liking. The clone might be a threat to her but it would no doubt affect her friend as well. She should start to work on a peace offering, but she could not begin to come up with a motive behind the earlier attack. She'd done nothing to invoke her own blank eyed clone and this one should be the same in mentality. It should be like a programmed attack dog. No method or reason needed. Why had her friend brought it back into the ship in the first place? She could not begin to understand this either. Cautiously she took a step forward towards both of them, her eyes on the green hair. She'd have to pass her to get past in the first place, so something had to be established. Her hands raised in a show of peace and she smiled plaintively. Please believe me. I mean you no harm, whatever happened we can work past it. We can try. She so desperately wanted this to be true. It hardly seemed fitting that out of the only two of the species she had seen, she would be enjoyed by one and hated by the other. It struck a raw nerve. If nothing else, the act of making friends was simply joyous for her. For a shy girl that had lost so many of those she had before, she wanted to establish normality. Back on Damaskia she had been so tempted to contact those who had known her before. Once enlisted into the military she had plenty of time when she wasn't immediately observed. Her hand had hovered over the comm panel, mildly hitting call and end over and over again. No one ever told her it was wrong. It was her own instinct that she was crossing a line here. Once more, Kaito seemed at least a step ahead of her. With plans of his own, he obliterated hers in one swift, ignorant moment. Hope died in her eyes. He strolled past her with the pair in his focus. His stance was already resonating that special brand of intimidation. She reached out, just missing the edge of his shirt. It slipped through her fingers, and so did control of the situation. She had carefully worked to wrest it from him and show him that this was all fine. She could handle a tumble or two. She would make sure to watch the green haired being. She braced herself for his harsh words, but the silence stretched on. On and on it went. Her friends mane changed position, but that was all she could see from her angle. That, and the clone settling her gaze upon Kaiya. She was determined to face it, letting the creature know that she was aware. Nothing lasted however. It slid to the floor, limp and without sound. She gave a start, her friends keening making it no easier for her to understand what her brother had just done, or how she would forgive him. She rushed to the prone figure, carefully sliding her fingers to try and find a pulse on the neck. Without a firm base on how they operated, she was frantic. Her other hand would switch to the top most right arm, two lightly pressed to where she knew the pulse line rested on her own species. Was this intended? Did her brother make a mistake? “What did you do? Kaito, I had it under control! I took my eyes off for two seconds!” She cried out, anger in her eyes. She could never be too severe at the man who'd cared for her and even now tried to shelter her, but her irritation with him was plain. Her friend clearly was the same. Her reaction to him was no better. She could swear she'd seen a steely gaze in her eyes. Waiting for open conflict, her own form remained tense as she dropped to her knees. Her friend was with her only seconds later, what felt like an eternity. She looked at her from across the body. Hearing that soft growl, clearly targeted at her brother, brought her mind to conflict. Who did she side with? Why was she at the side of something that had so plainly gone for her death? More than a few times, no less. What instinct drove her to this level of plain stupidity and concern for something that could care less. Neither her brother or sister would do this. Both were cautious and calculating, relaxed in all but the most intense situations. Was she the only one prone to this level of action? She grasped at the small hope given by her friend. A heavy sigh had escaped her, and she noticed the slow tension draining from four arms. Her eyes were downward but there was no grief. Could it mean that her double was still alive? It would be a small grace. Could it be enough to stop the tension within the ship? Carefully, her hands would slide under the upper back of the clone. With a testing lift, she noticed the weight. Compared to her own slender body it was considerably dense. The skin was a little thicker than her own. The feathers didn't help as she began to lift her up. Her grasp firmly under the lower set of arms, she let the clones head fall against her chest. The feathers tickled her own arms, and she had to struggle to bite back a grin. She couldn't explain the reasons for the sensation, or why she felt them. It was just essential that she get the green haired woman out of the threat zone, under the eye of her brother. Perhaps taking her friend and the clone on her own ship would be preferrable. It would be easy to keep in contact with Kaito while temporarily ending the conflict here. It was clear they both needed a slower introduction out of the tight space. Because Kaito wasn't bad. He had lost both. He had lost so much and here he was, struggling with the last of his family. If Tomoko were here, she would understand them both. Kaiya was sure of it. Moving down the hall steadily, she dragged the unconscious form with her. She took it inch by inch, under the careful eyes of her friend. Inch by inch she made her way across the hall, away from the cocoon mess and the overbearing eyes of her dearest brother. She would give a nod of her head in the direction of the woman's allotted room. It took a little finesse for her to hold the green-hair up and still hit the door panel. Something unnerved her about the faint dimness inside. It was understandable not to leave your lights on inside but ever since that night, it was hard for her not to suspect. Shaking the fear off, she brought the green-hair closer to the bed. Placing her knee at the woman's mid back, other arm around her chest, she would hold her up while pulling the covers back. The effort was trying. Was it like this every time she had been tucked in growing up? Was she this heavy? Gods, she hoped not, or that bitch Maron would be right. With an inward groan she lump the top half of dead weight on the bed. Her kind intentions were backfiring, her back aching severely as she carefully started tucking the inverted limbs up into the bed as well. She pulled the covers up, navigating carefully over inverted legs and the spare arms. Sighing, she thought of her next step. Without a word to her brother or her friend, she glided out of the room and into the kitchen. Snagging a cloth from the cupboard, she'd wet it thoroughly with cool water. After wringing the excess out into the kitchen sink, she had something to work with. She folded it into a rectangle. She filled two glasses with water, assuming at least this was going to be safe. She threw two bananas into the mix, realizing she couldn't possible carry all this back. With an irritated sigh she grabbed one of Kaito's books from the counter, slapping everything onto it like a tray. With all the frustration of any girl doing chores she hated, she'd stomp down the hall throwing an angry look in Kaito's direction. “You should be the one helping, you know. You knocked her out. I don't even know what you did but it wasn't okay.” She shot at him. Back in the cool bedroom, she set the book-tray down on the side table. She wasn't sure if this would have the same affect on humans. Again, there was s much to learn. She could document it as she went. She placed the cloth over the green-hairs forehead. The coolness, she was hoping, would help any headache that might show up from smacking herself into the floor like that. She wasn't the most accurate, given her age, but she still ran her fingers over the four arms to make sure nothing had been broken in the fall. She was expecting at least a similar structure of bone and muscle placement, given how similar they looked. Everything seemed okay. Nothing shifted out of place and she was relieved, despite herself. She wanted to bridge whatever transgressions there were between her and the green-hair. It would be harder if the woman was in pain and associated it with both siblings. She would take a step back from the bed, making room so her friend could take her place if she wished. Nervously stepping out of the room she fled back to the kitchen, getting herself a glass of water. She found herself chugging the first half, treating the water as if it was the singular solution to this entire situation. Her thirst still wasn't sated, even as she reached the end of the glass. She dove back into the fridge, seeking the ice cold refreshment of a root-beer now. The subtle bite woke her senses, giving her that kick she needed. She took a seat at the table and nursed the can. She treated it like an exhausted adult would a beer. The savior to her night and the looked forward to reward of a days hard work. Her fingers dented the can slightly as she eagerly swirled it in her hand, taking another drink. Perhaps Kaito would join her here. This would be the ideal time to speak, just them together. She could try once again to assure him that it was safe here. It wasn't going to help if he was upset at her too. She'd always tried to stay on his good side just out of love. Even if she wasn't sure she agreed with his methods, he needed to know she loved him still. This was no longer going to stand, however. He couldn't baby her at the risk of her friends. Of course, though, Cryognosis wasn’t even nearly about to talk to her own kind…mostly because this one was a special case. The clone, being a feral being, was not really studied into artificial language. Likewise, as a civilized being, Cryo was on the wrong side of a language barrier that would have been a bit embarrassing to admit, if only she actually had spent the time to ponder and realize the fact. No less, there were not much differences made to respectfully give a metaphorical nod to Kaiya’s behavior and presence. Although Cryo was not blind to that Kaiya had moved towards the two, the princess had no sense of concern about her, only a little more comfort about the whole situation. The copy, on the other hand, was a bit more standoff-ish, but no less, essentially in the same realm of activity as she had, leading up until her unconsciousness. It was shameful that in the end, that despite all of Kaiya’s efforts, she had ultimately still not have stopped events, however. The brother did not respect Kaiya’s decisions, after all. So rigidly trying to take hold and make sure of safety, on a situation he was entirely foreign to…it didn’t quite make sense. Would it not be more appropriate that he had listened to someone who was actually in the midst of managing a situation? Especially enough, not to do the drastic thing as a mind hacking, which could have all too easily gone wrong to provoke ones such as how the clone would have almost certainly have been: The lady was not about to call Kaito’s not being attacked as anything less than the sheer luck of the copy’s own misfortune. Cryo was, no less, shocked at Kaiya’s effort to aid. Did she not remember what she was dealing with…? It seemed remarkably holier than her own behavior. Perhaps Kaiya was someone she should look up to…so idealistic and optimistic. It shamed Cryo, thus, to have not really properly respect the differences and motivations of others…It was a listen that she would have to contemplate soon. Her eyes glance over disinterestedly towards Kaiya as she felt for the pulse. Cryo didn’t understand the motion, but if she did, it would not be worthwhile. There were ways that an ainsou’s life status could be checked, but a pulse would not be felt: The body muted the blood flow too effectively, after all. However, Kaiya seemed to understand…apparently based off of Cryo, that the copy was alive. That was clever, Cryo had to admit to herself. The scolding of her own brother was noted, and if Kaito were to snap back at her, Cryo would immediately puff her fur mane and bring her ears and horns forward, in a solid notion of that she would defend Kaiya, even violently. This wasn’t so much of Kaito’s teaching potentially backfiring on him: It was the fact that Kaiya’s safety was valued by the royal blooded woman already. What especially surprised Cryo, though, was that Kaiya started to pull up the ainsou. This was truly above and beyond the call that she could have ever been asked for. It wasn’t even the species as her, after all. The ainsou were, to her mind, surely no more than pets, right…? Then again, it would greatly make sense that Kaiya had acknowledged the friendship that was present, and it made Cryo feel a little better about her own standing. The princess was not about to allow Kaiya to do all the grunt work. This was not her failure or responsibility, that all had unfolded as it had. If anything, she was a heroine, and may have made things much lighter than they may have been. Cryo easily maneuvered her own positioning, and helps lift up the clone, if she does not get to successfully outright wrestle the ainsou from the girl’s grip and take over the pioneer’s intentions. When the green-hair ended up into the bed, either way, Cryognosis helped her give the copy a comfortable position. When the pioneer moved away, Cryo checks over double-checking, and even uses some forensic ki techniques in order to ensure that the the clone was healthy. She wasn’t…healthy. The base of her ki emissions was damaged. This was likely from Cryo’s own attack, granted. It didn’t have the mind as an epicenter, after all. She had finished before Kaiya had returned, and honestly, did not care whether Kaito understood that Cryo was apparently able to do some type of subtle evaluation of the copy’s health. After all, what would it necessarily mean that a species could study the potential injury and death of another? Or maybe it could have been a peculiar notion of concern, for all he knew. The point in the end, was that as far as Cryo could understand, she was not likely to be comprehended. When Kaiya returned, Cryo’s attention perks towards her, and her ears flicker forward just once. She moves to the brought food and drink, and casually proceeds to take the water cups, evaluate it with curiosity, and offer it back to Kaiya. These creatures may have drank the fluid, but to an ainsou…? Well, Cryo did not look forward to the clone drowning herself trying to take the offerings. After doing so, however it was dealt with, Cryo sat down aside, observing Kaiya, almost lazily from how it would seem. This has been an exhaustingly long day, and though she trusted Kaiya, she did not trust the pioneer to have an accurate research of her speies, after all. There was a subtle-motioned, but easily distinct sense of trust that Cryognosis gave to Kaiya’s good will, and she hoped that the copy would come to understand that, herself. Perhaps it could make all the difference, after all. However, no less, this was as it was, and Cryo would not be leaving this room for the rest of the night. Kaito was a danger to both of the ainsou, let alone the idea of him to either of the individuals isolated. Cryo felt necessity of keeping watch, as to not awaken to an execution so easily… +1025=10,053 Cryo-typist WC total |

Things had quickly gone in a direction Kaito had not intended; for one, he was unsure what had made the one creature simply pass out as it did. Nothing he did should have rendered anyone unconscious as it had apparently done to the beastly woman. That resulted in things being taken to a level he had not quite intended; and evoked the slightest bit of guilt from him. ”Well damn. That wasn’t an expected result.” Things were going south in this, his ship of fun and joy. With a shake of his head and a sigh, Kaito would lift one hand up to lightly rub the back of his head. Things were getting tense and stressful; and that was the last thing he needed at this point in time. Right, maybe try to be nice again; it was still in him, no matter how broken his body and soul was feeling. ”Righty-o, I assume you can’t understand me at all, can you little miss four arms? This is going to make things difficult. Right then, let’s see if I can send the right signals.” With slow, calm movements, Kaito would extend his hand out slowly to the still awake critter, giving a non-toothy smile as he projected not an image this time; but a feeling; trying to express a bit more of a calming aura this time, unlike the more aggressive method he had used before. Just enough to perhaps keep the mood in the ship at a level where things wouldn’t erupt into a war; he would so hate to have to redo the upholstery again, after all. Oh, and there was the whole Kaiya losing her shit thing that he sought to avoid as well. He didn’t want to have her upset and throwing a tantrum as small children tended to do. --- WC: 304/2,521 Total: 17,673 |

Though there would be no way that Cryo would willingly show it, she honestly takes to believing his admitting his surprise. There, after all, was no type of initiative for Kaito to decide he should insist that he didn't mean to knock the clone out, and furthermore, it seemed to have a very improper flow: If the clone was struck down into unconsciousness, Kaito was making a pretty distinct impression that he was the sort to follow through with an execution, in hindsight. That, and the projection of the mental displays probably would've shared their nature. Still, Cryo was bound by her own acting, and she was still pretty upset things have gone as they were. It just, fortunately, made for something that would be looked on a little more lightheartedly. The further reaction was something that the princess could not decide how she felt about, as well, the ainsou being open about noticing his motion of frustration. Likewise to the first, however, there was not much that she was able to do from it. The idea of it shifted her whole impression somewhat, though: It's more of an inconvenience to him, than an outright miserable aspect of the way things were playing out. Things were quickly adding together to give Cryo one thought: What was the impression she was supposed to have of Kaito, overall? his firrst, immediate entrance had felt a little towards the notion towards antagonistic nature, though not really evil. Ripping open the earth and angrily shouting, before initiating his peculiar remarks onto Cryo herself. That wasn't too bad, but then he blew up the whole facility that could have done so much to help her. Really, in hindsight, all of her feelings stirred from the spontaneous spiral since she woke up. Would she have reacted better? This is about one person drastically mutating, after all. No, the metamorphosis was not a process common of her people. Just mutating at all, to the alternate form she held, was quite weird and exotic. Was he...frightened? That put a drastically different light on his actions, really. First Kaito sees some quadarm thing lingering about his sister, and before he can know what to make of it, they undergo metamorphosis, become much more relatively distant from his biology, and one of them finds an obsession for goring Kaiya. ...In that context, he seemed to have a pretty good point standing for him, granted it made nothing less of a point in his sister, who has vouched for a solid understanding of Cryo's good heart through her own. That was just really it, really. They acted in essentially opposite ways. That was probably why Cryo, most of all, hated Kaito, when it came down to it. He was so unnervingly different. Kaiya easily related to the optimism Cryo tried to hold, and the friendliness and brave willingness to leadership. Kaiya was warm and affectionate. Yet, naturally, she was not at all like Kaito, since he was not at all like her. Kaito was distrusting, overprotective, aggressive, and displayed violently impressive powers. Even his apology was conducted in a very different fashion. Had Cryo ever seen such sharp differences of her own family? No, not really. They did act their own ways: They were their own people, but the behavior had never felt as though it was in sharp contrasts. She had displayed tension and protest to brother and sister alike, yet...They were still not too different, in the end. Was this her being racist? Was she truly just outright casting Kaito out for being...alien? This felt awkwardly embarrassing. This is exactly what she was not supposed to do! She may not have considered him along the lines of the saiyan, but she still was casting a sharp judgment...and it was pathetic behavior on her behalf, and entirely unbefitting whether it was because she was a member of a prime family, a properly raised princess, or as a diplomat to the unknown universe itself. ...Cryo understood with this, that she needed to clean up her act. The contemplation cut from Kaito's sudden behavior. He started to project unto her again, and it was certainly him, with the obvious emoting to her direction atop of the fact that what he was starting to do was entirely unlike anything Kaiya was proven to do, while being easily within Kaito's mysterious reach. He started to draw something within her, which was an unsettling idea...but what he drew out was not. It was...calm? Pacifying...? Was this a motion of peace? Of appreciation? Did he reach out, and understand her stance, or did he understand his sister? ...or was he just trying to outright be nice? ...It was some kind of call of truce, and she was not going to pry open the jaws of his outreaching effort and make a careful inspection with her neck in the way of closing teeth. No, she'll just do as a wild being should, is take things as they come along with only a halfway coherent line of thought. That, and oblivious optimism is what the doctor ordered. After she shot Kaito a confused, startled look, with ears back and tail flicked out upwards... Cryo pauses, then suddenly gets up and moves to him, obviously regarding him curiously. With a rather sudden movement, Cryo suddenly reaches in and quickly wraps around him in a soft hug! Her ears try to move up in a reflexive motion of joy, but in doing so she accidently rubs it against him, and her posture is visibly shaken by the sudden feeling. A roaring-like natured 'raeih?!'-ish sounding noise escapes Cryo's lips, and she pauses for a moment. To rub ears against something...felt awefully good. No doubt, his hair had made the experience less of an accidental slap against something or another, like so typical of an accidental motion of the ears. No, this was more like a gentle, welcoming rub. Were her ears always this sensitive? ...Weren't they? She had usually not let them come into contact too much, because she had always felt such a vulnerability. However, she had never thought to flick them across something the way she had just did. ...It felt pretty good. Cryo pulls away not too far after initiating the hug, and she tries to brush her ear along his side, before, if allowed to do so, reaching out with one of her arms and trying to brush a hand gently across his own ear. Maybe she could return the kind motion like this, if they had sensitive ears like her own... ---(WC)--- Kaito: 622+300+302+303+329+361+304=2,521 Kaiya: 561+312+536+878+763+0+2049=5,099 Cryo: 1019+1457+1871+1533+1823+1325+1025+1095=11,148 Total: 2521+5099+11148=18,768 |

She was content to let them have their moment at bonding. She wasn't paying attention to where her brother was passing in the ship. She wasn't interested in staying at his heels for now, and instead finished her sugary drink at the table with little fanfare. She was still in a foul mood over the situation and wanted nothing to do with him, so spitefully she would work. Dark deeds would take place in this kitchen tonight, oh yes they would. He looked down on her. He didn't see her as clever or having a survival instinct. She'd show him just how clever she could be. Sliding a pin from the hem of her skirt, she smiled devilishly. On the table before her, spread in an assortment of colors, were her brothers much loved smoothie packets. With surgical precision she pushed the pin into the bottom of each packet. Dragging along the seams to make a quarter sized slice in each, she'd let the contents drain out into the garbage. This would be covered by her own trash so he couldn't see the powdered contents ahead of time. Carefully she would crinkle the edge of the packets, pushing them outward. Carefully she would place them in the cabinet, the edges nicely puffed out looking full. The holes in the bottom were small and tediously pinched shut to block an easy guess at what she had been. She used his own sloppy arrangement to hide that they had ever been touched and shut the cabinet again, feeling rather smug. She scooped the contents of the table, the empty can and a few snack wrappers into the trash. The glass she left in the sink, feeling disinterested in the idea of cleaning for now. She'd done all she could for the clone already. It was only then that she went to see if her friend was still resting with her other self. It left her more than a little surprised and tense to see that both were in the room together. Apprehensively she edged inside. She worried about shattering the moment, biting her lip to hold the silence. It just showed how little faith she had in him. Watching Kaito, she only assumed he was making another mistake. She was developing her cynicism quickly. Nothing seemed to have changed otherwise and this was a bit of a relief to her. She would lean back against the wall and observe. Again, no verbal communication was made. She didn't know why she'd held out that he would have some magic answer. It was almost never that easy, but somewhere she wanted that miracle to happen. Something else would develop instead. Somehow, without her knowledge they had reached out to each other. Enough that her friend approached her brother willingly, hugging. She had no idea that sch an extroverted motion was possible for her with him, after what he had done. She felt a little bit of envy at his charismatic and easygoing charm. He could recover any ill met situation, and it was either after years of of mistakes or naturally knowing how to defeat failure. WC: 522/5,621 |

A hug; well, that was a solid sign of peace being accepted, now wasn’t it? So, this woman seemed to be very much like a house pet from Earth; at least judging by her reactions. It was an interesting thing; and absent mindedly, Kaito would lift his hand up to the woman’s head, his fingers beginning to dance over her ears; scratching behind them lightly. ”There we go. Now, perhaps we can get off on a better foot from here on out. As he would glance over his shoulder at Kaiya, his senses alerting him to her presence. A teasing, sly grin crossing his lips, ”See, Kaiya? No need to be so scared. A little calm patience can do wonders,” knowing quite well how his teasing words would be received as they indicated her as being the frightened one. Now, with his gaze turning toward the unconscious one, Kaito would frown. ”Though I’m not quite sure what went wrong with that one. All I did was share images; nothing that should have resulted in any sort of, well, episode like that. We can’t leave them just lying out here in the hallway though; that would be a danger should something happen, and this ship will be taking off soon. I feel a pull that tells me we need to move locations soon.” Turning his gaze from the downed woman and back to Kaiya, h would give her a smile. ”Now, you seem to be having an easier time of communicating with this creature. Perhaps you can help herd them into one of the spare rooms; heaven knows we do have plenty on here.” With that said, Kaito would make his way back down the hall, giving Kaiya a light pat on the head as he passed by her. Things would be rather interesting from this point on. ----- WC: 307/2,828 |

The scratching furthered Cryo's own agenda, and it was a wonderful fulfillment! This felt like it was the most wonderful feeling, and much better than the refreshed state one has under any massage. Rather reflexively, a soft noise starts to escape the princess's lips, with a bumpy texture, like as if trying to emote a growl, yet softened to a gentleness. ...Yes, Cryognosis is in fact purring. This wasn't really surprising to herself, like the ear discovery was. Considering how heavily the ainsou's natural language originated from growls and roars, a purr was not something that was never too 'far off' as a noise. Purrs were, in fact, a typical, though somewhat uncommon, noise. Granted, Cryo couldn't remember the last time she had ever purred, which was something that no doubt would inevitably be found to have much the same backstory to why it was as it was as the fact that she didn't even know ear-touching was such a wonderful thing. He then had mused to himself, but Cryo was not about to care, instead drawing inwards into her world of joy...but when Kaito noticed Kaiya's name, it projected out a stronger impression, and her eyes glance towards Kaiya. Cryo's un-petted ear raises, but she hadn't really gotten much of a reaction otherwise, given that she hadn't wanted to spontaneously abandon his behavior. Likewise, even as he discussed the important topic of what happened with the clone, Cryo put in even less reaction towards the fact that he was talking 'towards' the clone: Instead, the ainsou merely gave him a curious gaze for a moment, before then bouncing it over back and forth between him and the copy, as if trying to sort out why he suddenly decided that a being that was not only feral, but in fact unconscious, was a good listener. Of course, when Cryo heard him try to talk for himself, she noted the direction he was carrying this. Quite warm, and even trying to shoot for a good name. ...Of course he would then talk about herding, and that was frustrating, but understandable. This is exactly part of what Cryognosis was trying to do, but in hindsight, she should have paused and considered that she should have understood the repercussion of that she would be talked about and treated like this. In the end, Cryo had positioned herself in an awkward, compromising state. She had only herself to blame for this, and the word was certainly 'blame', no matter how well received her position would turn out to be. When one introduces themselves as something, what else should one be interacted with, except as that something? She made sure to secure that she wasn't someone who could be talked to, or heard from. She made sure that any standards for them that she followed would be done so merely for the sheer coincidence, which her mindset would be acting to their favor. Likewise, she would spontaneously go off the wall in as far as even the most tragic ways specifically because it was as much of a coincidence. Simply, Cryo was, by her own efforts, not to be seen as high as a person, in the sharp aversion she was projecting to ever be seen to be as high as royalty and just in general crucial. If for absolutely no other reason to be so paranoid, it was all too easy to subconsciously slip into a superior ground for her own convenience, and strike verbally down unto those how she was a superior Facrin who was on the top of her political and social fronts. It wasn't that she was humble, but what was her position, if she was not to acknowledge the technicality of her superior status, in order to be properly poised to resolve the scenarios around her? ...Granted, this was a crutch of the matter, too. Cryognosis wasn't the only royalty around here. The feral little princess sibling in the room with her also shared the heritage of the upmost noble bloodline, and she would have to learn to act and be the part, whether she liked it or not. That was the burdening part of being a Facrin: As the top tier of the ainsou, one had to be instilled with the maturity and manners befitting of their role in life. No matter the background, it acted to be a mere excuse if the person was not to be an alpha amongst alphas. Cryo didn't even care if the copy would act like a proper, upstanding princess. No, in fact, Cryo expected otherwise. However, there had to be some way in which she could get the clone to learn her place, to express its identity in her own fashion... The removal of the ear pet-er and his ear petting made Cryo's ears droop, and tail fall to between her legs. The purring lasted only moments longer as her sad expression watched from the spot she stayed at, to observe him taking to his leave. He had said a little more that she wasn't 'allowed' to react to. The pat on the head was something that had Cryo curious...Why would someone ever pat someone else on the head? Oh wait, the pioneers didn't have horns. They didn't have long ears either...no, they had little weird stubs. How they could hear anything was beyond Cryo, but it was also beyond the point. This was a new way that Cryo could communicate! She should try it! After Kaito leaves, Cryo casually starts towards Kaiya, visibly cheering up as she had come to near the pioneer, and suddenly she reaches out with her primary left hand, bringing it over her head with a questioning look on her own face. Cryo's ears angled backwards, with a couple stray twitches to even further backwards, while she kept the hand over the head. If Kaiya didn't make a protest obvious with body language, or at least tone, Cryo then brings the hand down for a light pat, and even a bit of a scratch. Come to think of it, something like this would make perfect sense! After all, where else would Kaito get the idea of ear scratching? ---(WC)--- Kaito: (622+300+302+303+329+361+304=2,521)+(307=307) 2521+307=2,828 Kaiya: (561+312+536+878+763+0+2049=5,099)+(522=522) 5099+522=5,621 Cryo: (1019+1457+1871+1533+1823+1325+1025=10,053)+(1095+1031=2,126) 10053+2,126= Total: (2521+5099+10053=17,673)+(307+522+2,126=2,955) 17673+2955=20,628 |

His teasing ruffled her feathers, so to speak. She'd forgotten that having a big brother could be a pain in the ass. Up there she could only emphasize the good and what she missed, all the excess of the worlds combined and the low showered down on her. Now teasing seemed to be a good part of this, because he was pushing it on her. She remained against the wall, her eyes narrowing as his jovial nature took over. She wasn't going to let him see her smile, or forgive him. She briefly thought of punching him. She was normally not prone to excessive violence against her family, so the ease with which the idea came surprised her a little. Instead she stuck out her tongue. Let him be smug, he wasn't going to win in the end. When they were already off, he'd realize he was missing something. “You were the irritating one! I told you to give her time and to trust her, you prat.” She shot back irritably. “And they already have a room. I took care of that FIRST.” She was quick to remind him that she had so easily offered them a place here on his ship. Her friend had accepted, that meant her clone would be staying as well. He'd not been here to correct her and now his words would be superfluous. It was a little win and she smiled sheepishly when she realized it. She couldn't really fight with him, after all. It took too much out of her to be mad, even at his worst. She'd give him time to cool down and eagerly listen for his kitchen discovery. It couldn't be too long from now. After being gone for a full day, what else could he want? Something cool and refreshing. He didn't seem prone to alcohol so it was just a matter of, well, like he said. Patience. Kaiya couldn't say she wasn't relieved either. Now that she wasn't so tense, her irritation fading, she had time to take a deep breath and appreciate how bad the situation could have gone. For all her feral attitudes, it was clear the woman had some form of power and enough ability to think a situation over. It wasn't pure instinct, and that could have given them trouble in close quarters. If the clone had remained conscious and angry, more drastic measures might have been taken. She wasn't going to admit it out loud but having her down and out gave everyone a moment to clear their heads. The copy could even wake with a calmer mind prevailing. To have two of them on board would be incredible if they worked together. Now would be the best time to start developing a tight knit community, and it made her quite eager. With the clone safely in Cryo's room already, she could simply wave a dismissive hand to her brother, indicating she would take care of it. Sometimes the urge to be clever and lazy won out, and instead of correcting him she would be content to roll in her very tiny success. She watched her friend approach curiously, head tilted slightly with a light smile on her face. She was trying to give an air of calm security. Despite him, Kaiya had still been the one to successfully navigate the situation, give or take a few close calls. She should feel proud of herself now, and it should be able to show. She wasn't quite okay with petting her new friend, however. The pleased look on her face and that low purr told her it was perfectly acceptable but something bothered her about aligning her friend to pet status. Was it normal in their culture? It was so close to the behavior of a cat that she almost forgot exactly how smart she was. The image was simply too adorable for the little girl to stand, and so she had to keep her hand poised at her side instead of hovering over. She would watch as the arm was raised and blink again, unsure of what was happening. It wasn't dangerous, but it was certainly interesting. She'd never had anyone but family pat her on the head before and this seemed perfectly okay, like a show of affection. Her reaction wasn't nearly as strong as her friends, however. No rumble came from her humanoid throat but her smile would widen. WC: 740/6,361 |
