Cryo, at this point, was unable to help but wonder something pretty important to this conversation, at this point. ...How did they even feel about each other? The recently shifted air, though much friendlier, was more awkward than the tense meeting. Granted, Kaiya was more than 'happy' to hold a fairly consistent stance, and it was Kaito who was the subject of change and inconsistency. One can go and say chaotic, really. Was this the better way to think of the man, or was this a subject of overthinking? This was, ultimately, one of the numerous drawbacks of 'going feral': There was so much time to her own mind, and she seemed to take to the idea obsessively.
There were several ideas, still, that hadn't even touch her mind, things too subconscious, or statements merely factual, based on the whim of appropriate, though depiction never honestly lay far from the ainsou without orbiting around another individual, such as the clone which rested peacefully in the ignorance of any of the complexities of foreign cultures and relations. That is not to say that she was entirely free of a burden of extensive cognition, though, especially as the earlier has acted as the contrary: By their basic self, either woman was quite competent and capable as a thicker sooner than Cryo was specifically outright well taught, having a natural talent for being, say, a scholar. Of course, the mind does a lot that escapes sheer consciousness, with so much calculation and so on.
Post of the fairly literal loop of concepts, to some end, Cryognosis was thinking too hard, and doing it with a style that one could be proud to be ashamed of. Who knows, but herself, exactly how deep and convoluted those sparse moments, made while Kaito had distracted himself with his words and Kaiya lingered on the wall, were? Only when Kaito turned back to face back to Kaiya, was Cryo's forced movement to keep receiving the air scratches and drop what was on her mind.
...She missed having plenty of time to think. Not that Cryognosis was an introvert who yearned to stay curled up under a blanket of thought, in her own mind. It's just that she liked the slow time-taking pace of day-to-day that never will be.

Still! On the plus side, it hadn't all devolved into outright name calling. Kaiya wouldn't say anything short of something that at least had a point, whether perceived or genuine, behind it. Likewise, so far she had a track record for making good ones, as far as Cryo was aware. The idea that she had sniped an opportunistic revenge was completely absent from Cryo's own mind, simply. Something like prodding holes into packages and leaking out their contents in a calculated way? Well, the motions certainly made sense, but not the motivations to go with them. Kaiya was innocent, even if she stood stubbornly against her own brother. ...Granted, that matter made some sense.
Relatable to it, was the matter of the clone. The tense situation was...quite weird. It felt like the fact that the copy had so near-spontaneously fallen unconscious, that any kind of resolution or continuation did the one thing that thoughts and the mind do not do, exactly. They ultimately...paused. People are often inclined to continue thinking of things, and the brain doesn't ever really take a snack break on its functionality. The idea, in the angle of outright relation between the topic and the way the mind fundamentally works, felt quite jarring. Had Kaiya not given thought to the clone besides taking care of her, or was that direct practice of taking care of her exactly how Kaiya wished to approached the situation? Was this effectively the way that Kaiya wanted to see to her problems?
In hindsight, a nod of acknowledgement had to be admitted. In designating that the topic had been dropped at all, Cryo had merely admitted, instead, that the situation had taken to such a subtle and contradicting calm pace, that it completely tucked itself into a darkness of her attention span.

That was that, this is now. The hand was upon Kaiya's head, and this didn't provoke nearly the same reaction. Taken well too, clearly, as a smile would dictate. Was it necessary to further insist joy to her companion? No, just a couple pats will do, before Cryo takes to her thoughts, her ears curling their ends inward to touch each other. Absentmindedly, she made another, final pat before moving onto the next thought of her attention. Perhaps now would be the best time to resolve the security leak, of sorts. Furthermore, perhaps it would actually be a good idea to actually let Kaiya in on it. True, it was a problem to let others see into her secrets, however, for all the kindness, Kaiya was a perfect stranger, and furthermore, the princess had no idea about how Kaiya was about secrets and sensitive information. All the ainsou would be able to discern about it is that she'd probably be respectful to some end.
Suddenly Cryo's rear-left hand reaches forward and tries to gently take to Kaiya's arm. If it was permitted to do so, it would pull along the arm, pressuring in a gentle way to prompt the arm to raise enough, so that the hand could slide through, as it moved along backwards. Inevitably what was an arm grab was an effort to a held hand. In the meanwhile, Cryo started a few steps towards the cabinet. twisting around herself in respect to the grip of the held hand by a comfortable, fluid way that was almost dance-like in smoothness. Cryo immediately moved more deliberately towards the direction, ears by now distinctively raised and no longer wrapped up into themselves. The journey was naturally one Cryo would happily make to silence. Truly, their relation to each other was just that: A complete matter of silent regards to one another.

Once there, Cryo artificially fumbled with a confident vigor. Surely one opens a cabinet by trying to pull the sides away from each other! Oh no, what a...surprise... that it didn't work. Perhaps those obvious handles could be jingled? Her ears drop down from the height, and even start to taper downward, tail curling up into itself as she lowered posture and 'tries' to figure it out in a distinct 'how did this go again?' fashion. Twist? No? Certainly looked twistable, one could say! Pull? Ah-hah! ---But let's not invest into common sense, as one is surely inclined to then lean on and find it closed!
Imagined gasp! The solution was fraud, no doubt! Only so, would the fact of trying to literally push it open make sense! Cryo even leaned into that one, bracing onto it as if trying to push it herself. She lets off very briefly after it proceeded to absolutely not work. Cryo paused, removed her hands, and then gives the furniture a glare as if her silliness was its fault. Ears flicked straight from down to forward, and lingered there. Tail uncurled and stuck straight out, making sharp, impatient moments. One more shot! A hand, to the handle! A bit of fumbling around! Pull? Ah! She pulled lightly, in the chaotic movement of the hand! Perhaps...uncertainly so...open more!
Cryo, after 'discovering' the cabinet's mechanism again, pulls the segment of it open all the way, and immediately reaches in with her other hand. That brave hand into new frontiers extracts a special something she had come along in her way to the ship, and one tucked away safely into mane all this time. Cryo turns to Kaiya, neither hand releasing the grip they secured, as she brings down a crystal that she kept close to herself. Though it seemed a little used, old, and dirty, it was in fact a gem of telepathy, and not at all some exotic form of one that would be unrecognizable. Cryo was not offering it, but she clearly was not holding it too securely to herself. She wanted Kaiya to easily be able to see it, and Cryo gives a questioning look towards her, ears reaching backwards now.

She let the woman pat her head, ruffling her hair and smiled all the while. This sort of close companionship cheered her immensely, especially knowing that the action signified her brother still felt the same. That singular motion before he met the room was reassurance that he was not overly frustrated and her prank was temporarily forgotten. The joy of his reaction was squashed by her curiosity at the woman's strange actions. Her arm was extended, and she kept the muscle relaxed, simply observing. The arm grasp turned down to her hand and she was being lead towards the cabinets that had been stacked in each room.
What significance could this hold? What sort of secret magic had her friend stored inside? She wasn't sure she'd ever find out because it became abruptly evident that she wasn't familiar enough with the furniture.
She doesn't step forward to help, remaining frozen with a half smile on her lips. She was slowly getting it and Kaiya felt that intruding would shame her.
More so, she had done this at least once. She should be able to figure it out a second time, at least she assumed.

She took a step back to give her more room during her urgent struggle. Too many elbows swung back with reckless abandon while the doors refused to yield.
Ah! Finally she seems to have gotten it open. She leaned forward, feeling nosy as she tried to get an early glimpse of what the woman held close to her. It was something familiar. The girl dug into her pocket and pulled out her old gem, relatively new with a polished shine. She hadn't had it very long, she certainly hadn't thought of it in relation to her new friend.

“You have one too? What do you use it for?” She spoke to the empty air, knowing that no answer would come. She tried to indicate by placing her stone close to the woman's.

The princess openly released Kaiya when she felt the pioneer pull away for her own safety, and not just from elbows, either. The knees, designed to fold the leg segments together forwards rather than backwards, made a lower body jab a pretty realistic idea. Admittedly, the tail would be no less of a threat, if only Cryo hadn't curled it. No, it had the best opportunity to reach back and accidently strike her, but fortunately it only ever did slight twitches while it was curled up. All-in-all, Cryo remained absolutely ignorant of how she was taking the struggle, just as Cryo was ignorant of the purrs' evoked reaction. No doubt, her intentions to stand aside to merit Cryo's own pride would have been perceived as welcoming and appreciated.
When Kaiya's eyes came upon the gem, Cryo was drawn into curiosity when Kaiya reached for something...What was she reaching for? Cryo's posture pulled into a straighter, more proper pose as she relaxed from the earlier struggle, and her ears perked upwards once more. This would probably be something interesting, and she looked forward to the idea. When the gem starts to emerge, Cryo was amazed and her attention was drawn to it as though it was many times more valuable than her own. Well, it certainly had been better cared for, having not been recently scavenged, but she treated it as a fundamentally more precious thing, in how she looked upon it in awe. She had one as well? Was she someone who acquired it, or was she someone who found it as well?
Just how spread out were these gems, and did it come from the same societies as the ones that used the mechanical machines such as what Vlad seemed to be partly composed as? Though the questions were pondered, they were not so pressing. The ainsou could stand to take her time, and eventually, if she could remember it, she could ask the pioneer eventually enough. ...The question was somewhat important, but by no means critical, and most of the obvious solutions would very quickly and easily be discovered. Besides, she could already infer a level of mysteriousness and rarity out of the fact that she was not necessarily expected to have one even after taking clothes, and that Kaiya hadn't seemed to use it in any way.

That wasn't the end of questions, however. Were they varied? Where did they come from? Could she use it too? What were the limitations and freedoms of the gems? Could she use it to subvert being 'civilized' when she talked? Did Kaito use a gem, and she just didn't know it? Cryo could ask or talk about anything, and she was truly free to be on the same social level as Kaiya, without giving any ground whatsoever! This was a wonderful abuse of loopholes, if it could be called such. The communication barrier could easily be broken, and she could do so without actually valuing herself much of any more than previously. In fact, she could find out all kinds of things, and not have much expected of herself despite the ability to communicate.
The princess gives her attention back to her own gem, having brought her primary hands together, and now cuddling it gently against her own stomach. Kaiya spoke to her again, and the princess tilted her head to the left. She already had missed Kaiya talking, and it was wonderful to hear her speak again, but likewise, it brought the question back into mind of why she was doing so. With her ears drawn back, Cryo simply states in return "Kaiya.", as if it would make sense at all." A spare rear arm's hand then points to the gem, and she questioningly remarks "Kaiya?" while bringing out the gem to near the other gem. Cryo briefly evaluates the gem with curiosity, observing how they were similar and where they were different...but ultimately coming to the frustration of no better understanding than before. The gem comes back to her own body, even though this time it rested much higher, to atop her own breast.

Cryo did not want to accidently knock herself out, however: There was that unnerving possibility that she would suddenly and accidently draw out the potential, after all. However, it was likely distant in practice; The ability to completely drop into a dream-like state seemed connected with exhaustion and engrossed focus into it. If there was a way to use it, perhaps Kaiya would know...but she wasn't so sure anymore. If Kaiya had it this whole time, why hadn't she? Was she scared or felt she may offend her? Wouldn't Kaiya have found a way to make it understandable?
What if it could be done, after all, though...? All the things she could ask! Her mind drew back into it! What could she do? It felt like she was practically unlocking questions of the universe! What did she think? What would be the way they spend time as friends? Would she help her on her own quest? Would they be able to change their status towards each other? Would there be amazing discussions?! "Why are you so small, anyway?"

Cryo blankly stared off into space as the message projected back into her mind. Completely clear of infliction and accent, and speaking in a proud voice through the air of arrogant confidence. Cryo had unintentionally projected the gem to all three of the people in the room, though the clone didn't successfully receive it because of her mental state. Cryo, of course, hadn't opened her mouth, but the mature woman's voice was distinctively not Kaito's, and in fact a lot like her normal voice, too.
Cryo brought her four hands to slap down their backs in front of the front half of her head's side, crossing past her face along a linear formation that veiled the whole front of her head from visibility, wrists bent back to cause a small gap in front of her face. The movement, no less, of Cryo bringing her head forward against her forearms was no less visible and significant through the horns and ears, if nothing else.
The ears lowered, and the tail drooped and tucked to between the legs. Apparently, this sort of motion was some type of facepalm.

The woman's reaction was the same as Kaiya's, she could read that much from facial expression alone. There were questions to be answered about origin and longevity of these gems. The woman, possibly from an entirely different galaxy or hidden in a corner so remote that they were hidden here, had one.
Kaiya, born and raised on Damaskia had one. This power was spread far and wide, and while it wasn't an important question she found herself trapped by the possibilities. What opportunities cold come, what they could find.
She was at a loss, however, for why it was brought out. She couldn't see any use of it. There was no use to go to the astral realm when her friend remained so close at hand. At this juncture it would be a waste of time and energy.
Was she thinking of calling family, perhaps? Maybe she was showing her as a way of sharing the technology. She might be showing Kaiya she had some way of contacting the others, but if so why not do it already?
It wouldn't make sense to think she had hidden it away all that time. To be stuck on this alien ship with no family and only strange alien friends, why would she chose to isolate herself? For all the child knew, she was speaking gibberish to her new friend. How comforting could that really be in a time of loss.

The woman extended her own gem, holding it close to the other. She remained still, waiting and wondering. It seemed to be a deep examination now, and the child almost expected the stones to radiate together once close. She had only ever experienced the gem power from afar, never close together like this. Could it be dangerous?
But nothing explosive or remotely frightening happened. It seemed to just be a plain gem with gentle warmth and a dull shine.

“I'm not small, I'm a child...” She answered out loud, not registering that something had been vastly diferent about the method of question delivery. She stared at the floor blankly. A light went off in her head and slowly lifted her eyes to stare at the woman. She was clumsy with the gem, but the woman wouldn't need it. Her meaning would be obvious as she pointed at her four armed friend, her jaw dropping open at the exclamation.

“What?! WHAT!?” She shouted, jumping back.

Cryognosis probably should have thought of the dangers of using the gems in proximity of eachother, but it was so foreign, that she had not really been able to think enough on the objects to really consider the safety protocols that may have been necessary or not. Thus, she had been scarcely safe despite her own ignorance and head-first behavior. In hindsight, Cryognosis probably would someday realize how dangerous what she did has been, especially since these were crystals that directly affected the mind. For now, however...? She was caught up in her idea so enthusiastically, that the thought didn't even pass her mind for a moment. Furthermore, she was already getting the jist.
Her thoughts were not in danger of being released, unless if she were to actually attempt to use it, in which case, Cryognosis had got the jist when she had accidently triggered it...both times, really. It seemed to be a trick in how she had brought herself towards it. Perhaps the gems were able to read the attempts of interaction towards them? How did that even work? There was no such science that seemed to be even remotely capable of working this...Was there such a thing as magic, outright? Or, perhaps, was this a function able to be established from ki itself? ...Were there related functions that worked with these?
There were so many questions, just by answering the more blatant ones alone...

When Kaiya responded, Cryo was unnerved how it had echoed to the nearby...So this can potentially act outwards entirely undirected. What kind of radius was there to an action such as that...? She did have suspicion that when she suddenly received her own thought, it must have projected out to anyone in the general area, but this confirms it, and made Cryo feel even worse about what she absentmindedly thought. Either way, it didn't seem to particularly have a language barrier, either: Cryo wasn't 'thinking in trade language', after all. With hesitation, the princess brings down her arms, then winces at the shouted reeling away that Kaiya further did. ...It seems she didn't catch the jist of the whole thing, either, did she...?
Cryo motions to the gem with her rear hands, while holding it to her, in both of her primary hands. The ainsou then brought the gem to herself, and focused on it...but not focusing into it, focusing more of through it. As she did so, Cryo raises the gem to put Kaiya past it in her vision, just to be sure. *I...Seem to have discovered a basic function of this strange crystal, Kaiya. I believe we could the service of this gemstone to our advantage. Are you getting this message, by the way, as you did last one?* Cryo tilts her head, ears leaning backwards. She didn’t hear her own voice this time, so that was a good sign, but she didn’t know if this was an effective way to actually use it. No matter, she continues using it. *I find that I can talk to you, and likewise I imagine you would be capable of returning communication towards me, if you so choose to at least try.*
Hopefully, this was sufficient to get the point across. It was weird at first, but Cryo felt like she quickly got used to it. It was just an exotic form of talking, really, and a pretty interesting and possibly massively useful one, at that. *I think this might be able to help my new sister, too, if we know this. ...I was hoping you knew about this device, but I suppose not.* Cryo's eyes turn towards the clone, and her ears and tail droop down unergetically. *I do not know if Kaito had meant to do this, since he did not hurt me with it, but he gives ear strokes, and they feel good. He must be a good person. Do you think Kaito knows how to operate these?* ...Cryo pauses, and her ears twitch forwards a few times, before returning to a neutral position. *Never mind that. I have a more important idea: Can you actually proceed to use the gemstone, so that I may actually understand you?*

With some sarcasm added, Cryo adds *Also, thank you for taking in the two of us, and...as it seems, standing up for us as well. I appreciate your patiance with her. I know she's attacked you, but...you've already forgiven her, as is. I will intend to have this wild behavior under my control shortly, as soon as it can possibly happen.*

This was a lot to take in. For the longest time, that being a couple of minutes, she let it flow in one ear and the other. She made no outward changes to her behavior as everything rushed through her mind. She could only think to bleakly nod and smile while she would mull everything over, staring at the woman.
It was interesting to finally hear her inner voice, something to match the noises she made. It gave her a little more personality.
At the same time she was surprised at how properly the woman spoke. It wasn't too rigid and stiff but she had expected something broken and a little more trying to decipher. Maybe it was because they had been so playful together. Very relaxed and not completely lady like at all. She was completely well mannered, and able to translate her though speak into perfect English.

*I'm getting the messages, yes.* The child thought back in mild confusion, staring at the ceiling.
*I don't know if my brother knows how to use the gem this way...Her inner voice grew as bubbly as the outside one.
“I don't know if he knows how to operate the ears either. He is a good person but just his ship, it is his ship and I wasn't supposed to let anyone on and I can TALK to you know and this is amazing! Oh. Oh. Two is fine...I don't think he'll mind as long as you don't destroy the ship...”

She relaxed, turning the gem around in her hands eagerly and smiling. She couldn't wait to talk to the girl more, she had so many questions to ask that she really could now! Just no idea where to calm down and start. No idea at all. She took a deep breath and got ready.
