Part I: The Cougar Legion Some time since the Planet Trade Organization General Rizor sent his men down on Avalon, and during the time that everyone was rebuilding the city, Walid took it upon himself to train Mauzu. After a few exchange of words with the small and tiny ninja, the pink haired warrior’s suspicions were true. The evil PTO scumbag was sending not only Mauzu, but his whole army in to die by the Paladins’ hands. Their mission too last minute and hardly any of the PTO members were ready to take on the armored soldiers. Either way there wasn’t much that Walid could do about it since Rizor’s men were taken out. More fortune was also given to the Zaunite who came to Avalon per his patron’s request. His training battle that was cancelled made him think that he was going to be a trainee again, but after Wolffin saw what Walid did on the battlefield, he promoted the warrior to a low level Paladin. Since Mauzu promised that he wouldn’t try anything stupid anymore on Avalon, the Axemaster agreed to allow the small assassin to be a trainee and that Walid was the one who should train him. “Wait, I noticed that you’re always on the ground during our spars,” the warrior said as he swung his axe at Mauzu who responded by ducking, “Can you even fly?” Walid watched as the tiny assassin shook his head and realized that he needed more work than he thought. He already had a score to settle with Rizor after he heard that he aided in taking over Zaun, but he swore that he would get a shot in for Mauzu. Sending in someone who wasn’t ready was something that the Avatar of War wouldn’t stand for. Small spinning kunai were thrown at the pink haired warrior, but as always he was able to dodge the attacks. He wasn’t quite sure if fighting Mauzu was for the best, since it’d do him to good if Walid improved as well. A training battle with the Android that the pink haired warrior fought sounded like a good plan to start, but at the same time he felt that Mauzu wasn’t ready yet. On that note the warrior planted his axe into the ground and stopped attacking. “I think it’s about time we took a break,” the warrior muttered as he walked back to the base with Mauzu. While he did so, something else appeared in the avatar’s mind. The egg that he received from Juno wasn’t hatched yet and he wondered if it was ever going to. Walid wanted to think more about it, but the tiny assassin interrupted him. “So when can we go on a mission,” Mauzu said with a cocky grin and threw punches at the wind as if he was a big shot, “I think I’m ready!” Unfortunately for him, as he heard the pink haired warrior laugh, he realized that he wasn’t. There was a time for everything, and Mauzu hoped that his time to shine would come soon. While the two were walking back to Walid’s house to relax, there was a meeting going on between five Avalanian Council members and Wolffin Rugenster. They were discussing a menace that slowly showed up out of no where and everyone that they sent weren’t able to vanquish them. The name of the group was the Cougar Legion and they were guilty of taking over a small town in the Cougar Plains. The Council wanted to make sure that no one could do evil deeds on the planet, but they were left with hardly any options left. “Why don’t we send Tony, the Kassack Destroyer,” one of the members said, which attracted other members’ attentions, “He’s powerful Paladin and I’m sure he can take them out.” However despite the idea of sending in the psychotic warrior in being a good one, one didn’t think so. The Axemaster never liked Tony and would never be okay with him being their only hope. “We can’t send him in, he’s off on another mission,” Wolffin muttered out and then thought of another person they could send in, “We could send Walid. He fared great against the PTO members who showed up even after his fight with Android X-37.” It was true that the pink haired warrior seemed capable of handling a task, but was he ready? The Axemaster didn’t know, but he figured he’d give his pupil a shot. Even though the other members didn’t exactly agree with Wolffin, mainly for not knowing who Walid was, they trusted the Axemaster. With nothing else to do, one of the council members wrote a note to the Zaunite and flew it to Walid’s house using telepathy. Mauzu had just sat down with a bottle of water when a note flew in and caused the tiny assassin to sling his bottle. Walid was drenched as he caught the letter and then read it. Once he was finished he crumbled it up, picked his axe back up and then looked at Mauzu. “Looks like we have our first mission,” the warrior said with a grin, “Think you’re up to it?” Walid didn’t even have to ask the tiny assassin. He already knew that his partner was up for the task. On that note the two gathered up the tools they thought they needed, including the pink haired warrior’s armor that many Paladins hated him for having and then walked out the door to head for the Plains. Walid knew that Mauzu wasn’t able to fly so he motioned for his partner to jump on his back and then soared through the air. WC: 941 |

Part II: A Mission to Save a Town While the two were on their way towards the small village that was known as Kekil, within the town was a large mansion with an officer with her boots propped on a table. She was known as Aggro and was the leader of the Cougar Legion. Since her time in Kekil the citizens have been helpless to her rage and were slaves to her mighty kingdom that she was trying to build. Outside she heard people complaining about not having enough to pay her taxes, but she didn’t care. She knew that her gang would handle it. Standing across the wall from where Aggro was sitting was a poster with many proud Avalon Paladins on it and knives dug into those that she vanquished. With one quick flick of her wrist, the tyrant tossed another one and watched as it stuck another Paladin that the Cougar Legion defeated. She let out a villainous chuckle with a sardonic grin, eagerly waiting for her next victim. Thankfully for the pink haired warrior known as Walid, his face wasn’t on her wall so he’d have the element of surprise… or would he? After about two hours of flying to the Cougar Plains, the duo finally made it to the outskirts of Kekil and landed towards a bush so that they could not only stay hidden, but come up with a plan as well. Walid scanned the place with his scouter and picked up multiple targets. He also noticed that there was a large opening where nobody was. On that note the warrior started to crawl behind the bushes to try and get around until he noticed that Mauzu wasn’t with him. Wait where did he go---. The pink haired warrior looked up and noticed that the tiny assassin somehow climbed a tree. Walid wanted to go in and rescue Mauzu, but thought that it would attract attention. No, all that he could do is trust his student so see if what he taught him actually sunk in. While he allowed Mauzu to jump around trees, the Zaunite crawled around the bushes to see where each of the Cougar Legion members was facing. He saw that there were two of them standing by themselves and thought about taking them out before things go messy. Before he could though, something happened. “Argh,” one of them men muttered out as Mauzu jumped down and landed on one of them. The other one watched everything, and quickly drew out his sword for the tiny assassin. Walid didn’t want to let anything bad happen to his student so he quickly rushed forward with his axe and prevented the gang member from striking the tiny assassin. When the pink haired warrior saw that the Cougar member was about to say something, he threw out his right arm to cause the member to head backwards and then swung his axe. He didn’t leave a devastating wound, but made sure to put out enough force to knock the enemy out. Once he was finished, Walid placed his axe’s strap back around his shoulder and gave a glare at his student. Already he felt like doing a mission with Mauzu would be dangerous for his health. So that the two goons of Aggro wouldn’t get in the duo’s way, the pink haired warrior decided to drag their bodies into the bushes. When he was done he looked around for the tiny assassin but just like he expected, his pupil was no where to be found. He’s going to get us both killed if he doesn’t quit. Walid wanted to help his new friend become stronger, strong enough to make Rizor feel sorry for giving up him. At the same time though, he felt like the tiny assassin just wasn’t meant for what he wanted to do. Suddenly as Walid began to move onto the next spot, over the bushes he saw that his student had fallen from the trees. Not only that, but the Cougar Legion had already spotted his tiny pupil and were heading his way. The pink haired warrior wanted his student to take it as a lesson, but at the same felt knew that he’d feel really guilty if Mauzu got hurt. Walid abandoned all hope of infiltrating Aggro’s base quietly by leaping into the air and struck his axe into the ground. His ki was infused in his attack managed to create an opening in the ground. “What, there’s another one…” one of them muttered out, “They don’t look like locales; we better get rid of them before boss gets pissed again.” As the Cougar member finished speaking, Mauzu pulled out one of his stars and tossed one after one until he managed to land. Walid saw this and was impressed, but it was too soon to praise his student. Out of nowhere a larger member jumped into the fray with a club that looked about the size of a tree. The large behemoth of a man swung his weapon, aiming to strike the tiny assassin. Before the Cougar member could though, the pink haired warrior pushed his pupil out of the way and was hit on his torso. He was about to fly away from the impact, but dug his feet into the ground so that he wouldn’t. Orange energy dripped elbow until it fell towards his hand and summoned his Kienzan for an attack. With one flick of the warrior’s wrist he tossed the spinning disk and watched as it turned the Cougar member’s club into a pile of wood shavings. Walid was about to attack again, with his fiery breath, but Mauzu stopped him before he could. “I’ll take these guys,” the tiny assassin said with a grin, “You find their leader and take him out.” At first the pink haired warrior was against the thought of trusting his pupil to handle a gang of fighters that he didn’t have any knowledge on, but allowed him to show Walid what he was made of. Instead of replying back to the tiny assassin, the Zaunite nodded in agreement and then ran towards a large building that he saw a few yards away. As Walid left, Mauzu somehow got surrounded by the Cougar Legion and grinned because he had his teacher’s trust as his power source. One of the men started to chuckle at the thought of having a tiny little creature as their opponent, but soon stopped after they saw that the tiny assassin could do. A wave of fire erupted from the assassin’s mouth and caused many of the Cougar members to flee in attempts to put out the flames on their body. Mauzu was surprised that he was able to copy his master’s technique, or at least until he fell backwards from the throbbing pain of launching fire from his mouth. How can he handle that attack… it hurts so much. WC: 1,148 TWC: 2,089 |

Part III: Walid vs. Aggro As Mauzu was giving the Cougar Legion goons a workout, the pink haired warrior finally made it within the building of their leader. The first thing that the warrior from Zaun noticed was a wall filled with other Paladin’s faces on it and knives dug into each one. Fear slowly trickled down the Zaunite’s neck, but he made sure to stand firm. He wanted to be a proud warrior, not someone who cowered over what his opponent was capable of. Once Walid took one more step, suddenly a blade shot across the room and managed to tear his cheek. Well now I know that whoever this “boss” is uses weapons. The pink haired warrior wiped away the blood that was slowly dripping from his face and then noticed someone sitting at a desk in the room. Without hesitation the warrior approached the person and instead of saying anything, he opened his mouth to unleash a wave of flames. Part of him went for the attack first because of all the other Paladins that had fallen to this “leader”, while another part was insulted. He’d thought that he’d made a name for himself but guessed he was wrong. “Didn’t your mom ever teach you not to hit girls?” the person said and tossed away Walid’s attack like it was nothing. As the shadow that hid his opponent’s identity vanished away, the pink haired noticed that it was a female and suddenly got worried again. Never before had he fought a woman before-- much less thought about how he’d even go about doing a task. He wanted to unleash another attack, but was frozen for some reason. “Walid… you… you cannot be serious,” his patron’s voice bellowed into the warrior’s head, “Just treat her like any other fighter.” The Zaunite thought that, that was easier said than done. Regardless of how he felt though, he noticed that his opponent didn’t resist the urge to attack him. Out of nowhere he noticed that the Cougar Legion’s leader was in front of him and had her fist held back. Thinking that a physical blow was all to worry about, Walid blocked his vital organs from the attack only to be surprised by her actual assault. A purple wave of energy exploded from his opponent’s hand and sent the warrior flying. Thankfully he was able to stop himself with the use of his Bukujutsu, but watched as the Cougar Legion’s boss quickly came at him again. Walid swung his axe for the female to try and get his own shots in, but it didn’t help him much. His opponent managed to duck out of the way and sent a kick for the warrior’s throat. The Zaunite headed straight for the ground and held his pharynx. It would seem that I underestimated her. As much as Walid thought that though, his patron knew that his avatar just wasn’t attacking like he normally did. He also knew that the pink haired warrior would quickly lose this fight if he didn’t attack with all the power he had. With nothing else to think of trying, Walid conjured up his orange spinning disk and then tossed it for his opponent. Just like before though, she managed to dodge it and headed for the Zaunite with her arm extended outward. While she did so, a grin appeared on Walid’s face. “Guess you should have paid closer attention,” the warrior muttered out and watched as his opponent had a confused look. What happened next was that his attack headed back for the Cougar Legion’s leader and sliced right through her side. Blood started to drip onto the floor, but the pink haired warrior knew that his bout was not yet over. His Kienzan was too weak to outright slice through bones and flesh required to kill someone. When his opponent confirmed that by standing back up and holding her side, arms sprouted from his shoulder. “Geez I never knew the Paladins had such a weak fighter in their guild,” the Cougar Legion said and then disappeared from sight to reappear behind the pink haired warrior, “Forgetting to finish the kill is a lesson you’ll soon regret.” With all of her strength she conjured up a beam from within her body and launched her mouth blast right for Walid. The Zaunite managed to dodge it in time, but was once again sent to the ground as his opponent kicked him. This chick is starting to get on my nerves now. The pink haired warrior stood back up and dusted the dirt that managed to pile up on his pants. His back was throbbing in pain, but thankfully his armor was able to shield him from her deadly blows. In an attempt to give his opponent the pounding that he thought was needed, Walid exploded from where he stood and headed for the Cougar Legion’s leader. One after one he swung his arms around as if he was a Gatling gun and watched as his opponent met each one with her hand. A grin appeared on his face as he distracted her and then lifted up his knee. Surprisingly it landed, but wasn’t enough to knock her to the side like Walid had to endure through their fight. Not wanting to stop, Walid swung his arms once again and watched as the Cougar Legion’s boss continued to catch each blow. He let out one more smirk at the thought of him distracting his opponent and then quickly swung his axe around as his arms disappeared back inside of him. Unfortunately for the pink haired warrior though, his opponent read his move and met Walid’s axe with a longsword given to those that devoted themselves to being a Paladin. And I have a feeling she didn’t earn that weapon. The warrior tried to swing his axe once more, but once again noticed that his opponent was able to douse his attack with her sword. Sparks started to fly and instantly Walid got a feeling that his fight was going to take a while. In the meantime the pink haired warrior wondered how his student was doing against the other Cougar Legion members. Back where Mauzu was, he had just managed to defeat one goon, only for a dozen more to surround him. Thankfully for the tiny assassin’s short size he was able to sneak by them from under their legs to start a chase between him and the Cougar Legion. Once the tiny assassin managed to reach a certain distance between him and them, he stopped to let out a smirk. “What is he smiling about---,” was all that one of the goons could say before a hidden trap underneath a huge pile of leaves appeared and sent the group flying through the air. Mauzu had to admit that it wasn’t exactly his master’s strategy to use traps, but he did give his word to Walid that he’d win. He just wondered how the pink haired warrior was doing. He didn’t know much about the leader of the Cougar Legion, but then again the tiny assassin didn’t know much about the Zaunite either as far as his power. After a while of fighting between Walid and the Cougar Legion’s boss and their weapons, the two were starting to get tired and wondered who’d drop first. The pink haired warrior knew that he didn’t have many more options, but decided to try something that he was sure that’d win his fight. He summoned up his orange energy disk and watched as his opponent smiled because he guessed she already knew what his attack was capable of. Little did she know though that the Zaunite had a plan up his sleeve. The avatar of war tossed his spinning disk for his opponent as he was about to collapse from exhaustion and noticed that his opponent was able to dodge his attack. He heard her mouth a few words, but Walid couldn’t understand what was said and watched as his attack came back around. Unlike before though, the Cougar Legion’s boss jumped back into the air as his technique headed for her and went straight for Walid. It was a risky maneuver, but he had an idea, he just hoped his tired out body was capable of handling it. “Too bad I already know your attack’s movements moron,” he finally heard words from his opponent and then felt as fire rushed to his throat. Out of nowhere as his disk was a few inches away from him, fire expelled from his mouth and not only knocked his original attack for his opponent, but gave it an added boost. Walid saw the Cougar Legion’s mouth moved once more, but yet again he couldn’t understand anything. All that he could do was watch as his attack collided in a uniformed attack and crashed into his opponent to bring a huge explosion that destroyed the leader’s building. Mauzu saw this and instantly rushed to see if his master was able to survive what had just happened. Once the smoke had finally cleared, he noticed two bodies lying on the ground and noticed that one of them had pink hair. The tiny assassin smiled as he lifted Walid’s body up and the duo saw as the Cougar Legion’s boss stood back up. You’ve got to be kidding me, that’s all I have left. “You did well young Paladin,” they heard the pink haired warrior’s opponent say and watched as she fell back down to the ground. Mauzu and the Zaunite let out one laugh then made their way back to where the citizen formed a large group around the remains of the Cougar Legion’s “castle”. They all cheered in joy as the duo lifted up their arms in a sign of victory and then quickly rushed to Walid’s side as the pink haired warrior collapsed from pain. WC: 1,646 TWC: 3,735 |
