”Who is that old man he seems to travel with master? I have seen him many times since tracking your target, but I can’t get much of a reading on him. If he is close to the target why don’t we take him out and torture him for information?” The Storm King stood in the deepest depths of the blazing inferno known as hell standing before the Lord of the Nine Hells himself. Khorramzadeh stood almost the size of a normal house and his body seemed to be chiseled out of fiery stone. He stood patiently before the only one he would refer to as master holding a demonic blade in one hand and a flaming whip in the other as his tail fell to the ground behind him and his wings seemed to expand eager to act as he spoke. ![]() ”He is merely an agent of mine. I sent an emissary to release him from Hell when he came before us after meeting with his death. His only task was to live once more. I saw he had numerous communications while he was alive with this blessed being and I believed having an unknowing spy would do us well. Everything he see, everything he hears and everything he experiences we know about now. He is a valuable tool for now and eventually he knows that he owes the one that freed him a favor. That favor we will cash in when the time is right. You must always remember Khorramzadeh, patience is key. We are immortal and time will never work against us.” Lucifer said as he looked down on a crystal ball that was being used to watch the situation as one of his oracles looked down on it with them controlling the ball and what it viewed. ”I know that my lord. I have already started to put my plan into place to fully test his abilities and friendships. When I strike at him next he won’t survive. I will hunt him and spring a trap for him that he will not survive as you have commanded. I just am still not certain why you want such an elaborate plan to deal with him. Yes he is stronger than we expected, but I had not even transformed myself when we faced off last time. I am certain with my additional power I can eliminate him once and for all and then he will no longer be in our way.” The Storm King declared confidently. Lucifer gave a slight chuckle before he replied, ”I don’t believe it will go down that easy that is why. The powers he has shown, his ability to go to the Next Dimension seemingly at will. I had not heard of any fruit being birthed from the Tree of Life, but it is possible that former Kaioshin was smart enough to hide this one’s birth. He seems stronger than I would expect and his powers are growing at tremendous rates. I fear he might not just blessed by the Kai’s but actually a Kai or even Kaio himself. If that is the case there is no way those meddling pricks in Heaven will leave him unguarded. That is why I wanted you to scout him out. Why I wanted you to hunt him down and ultimately why you will do all of that. When we lash out at him next this pest will not survive. You will be the one to strike him down and it will be because we are ready for what he has to offer and not because we got lucky. I have tried sending others to do this job before and they have all failed. It will not happen again. I will not endure more failures! The Heavens are without their leader and still we have setbacks it is unacceptable in every way and it stops NOW!!!” Lucifer’s voice boomed as he finished speaking causing the cavern in which they were conversing to shake and tremble at the sound of his powerful voice. The Storm King understood and with the outrage of the prince of hell that he had just heard he knew that his previous failure was not looked kindly upon. He knew it was important to report all information to Lucifer and when he had fled previously it was out of concern what the newly transformed being had in regards to full power and with the help of North Kai he knew it would not be an easy fight. It was possible though that he may have been better served to have tried at that point. He knew that until that pest of being was dealt with Lucifer would be on him constantly for updates. The heavenly being whether it was just blessed or actually a Kai was going to be a thorn in the demons side for a long time coming and Khorramzadeh knew it. He wasn’t angry looking for revenge, but he knew his actions had negative views amongst others and he would have to make up for it in a big way. The Storm King would not wait to do just that as he bowed his head to the master of hell and then spoke before vanishing away in flames, ”I am going to start my surveillance now my lord. I believe my plan will cause him to use more power than he would normally have to use and we can also see where his mind and heart lie when he is presented with a difficult choice. As you have commanded I will know the enemy thoroughly before I face him again and I will not fail I can assure you of that much!” He flamed out of the depths of hell and into the mortal realm on the planet of Earth. Thunder cracked, lightning shocked down and the ground he stood in burst into flames as the powerful Storm King made his appearance on the planet. He was standing now though in one of the many destroyed cities from the war. Around him stood multiple pillars, four in total which seemed to somehow withstand the blasts from the battles that obviously took place around here during the struggle with the Steel Legion. Khorramzadeh laughed almost as if he knew this place would still be in tact somehow. He glanced at the four pillars each of them with a curving in the side that seemed to become visible as the flames which seemed to spill out from the demon touched them. The pillars each had different symbols indicating the elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Twirling his whip in the monstrous left hand of the demon he spun it around the flames which surrounded the amazing weapon striking against the pillars before bolts of lightning struck down from the clouds above igniting each of the pillars with pure energy. Rain from the sky began to pour down on the area as the demon stopped moving and remained still amongst the pillars which seemed to be causing this amazing display of nature’s power right in front of him. Minutes passed as the Earth seemed to tremble around the display of energy which had been released by the Storm King. Then suddenly the earthquake stopped, the raid subsided, the lightning ceased and the flames receded. It was at that point that the pillars all began to flow with energy and then were sucked into the planet below. The demon could only laugh as he calmly pushed himself into the air and took flight just before the ritual he had been waiting for was completed. From the ground arose 4 elementals representing the major elements in this area. Khorramzadeh looked at them as they creatures took shape and started to look around at the ruins they were standing around. ”The mortals of this planet have caused this. They are war hungry and in war they caused this destruction to this place and number of other places around this planet. They care nothing for the protection of the planet and that is why I have summoned you to wreck vengeance on the planet which has clearly been neglected by its hosts. They kill, pollute, destroy, corrupt and manipulate the gifts of this planet for their own good. Show them why they should have taken care of this place and have your way changing this place back to how it should be!” The Storm King clearly knew more about this area then most and his actions while deceitful in nature where fueled like any good lie with parts of the truth and he was using that to manipulate the elementals into doing his bidding. Then in one the Elementals seemed to speak, ”This place is not deserving of our gifts. These people need to be taught a lesson and we will do just that. If the inhabitants of the planet will not save it then we will save it, even if that means eliminating them from it completely!” Khorramzadeh began to laugh hearing this and as he felt his target approaching he knew he had to leave. He saw his target for a brief moment, but he didn’t seem to be seen back as he had ascended further into the sky. He smiled and gave a sarcastic wave before he vanished from the scene. In a burst of flames and lightning once more the demon left the scene just in time to relax comfortably in his home within the depths of hell and watch to see what the blessed one would do now. They had brought the criminal known as Fayzr to justice and set the fighters free. Like heroes the Kaioshin had felt like he had accomplished something of great importance. He and the professor left the underground fighting arena and made it back to the surface. It was time to get back to work and for him that meant going to help Kami fix more of the Lookout up, or at least that was what he thought. ”Well my friend good work on a job well done. I think I am going to…” Before he could finish Supreme Kai felt a surge of energy unlike anything this world normally felt. He also recognized it. The Storm King was on the planet and he knew it almost immediately. The look of concern quickly came over his face as he could tell that the great evil had arrived and was obviously here to cause trouble. He changed his tone as he continued, ”It is him… I have not told you and don’t want to risk you, but I sense a great evil has arrived in this area. I have to go and face him, but I must do so cautiously. I don’t want to run into a trap. I would ask you to stay here, but I know you too well and know you are too curious of an individual to simply let me run off on my own. I will still ask, but if you choose to follow just keep yourself safe. What we might be about to see is far more dangerous than anyone or anything you have ever met I am fairly certain of that much.” He took off in flight after he finished talking not wanting to simply teleport to the Storm King in case he was being tricked into a trap. With his arms pressed to his side and his legs held together he was like a dart bursting through the clouds as he moved towards his target and a chance to maybe stop whatever evil was probably being done by the Storm King. His flight was direct and at extremely fast speeds, but it was not quick enough. After about fifteen minutes of travel he arrived just to see a burst of lightning and flames in the sky and to see the four massive elementals standing on the surface. He could tell they had been corrupted somehow or at least deceived by the demonic being. He then realized what that flame in the sky was, the Storm King had left once again and now he could not sense him once more. WC: 2030 |

Shin had agreed to help him this time; it was quite a relief, now knowing that he had some extra help. This wasn’t his turf to begin with, not when the Avalonian Paladins were strolling around, and not now, with patrols of Saiyan armor roaming the streets. After Shin handed back the invitation, they set out to the underground arena. Fayzr had been getting more and more arrogant; it was easy to grab a spot on the roster for himself last night. A few years ago, that would not have been even possible. Things certainly have changed, but many other details have remained static. These rooms were not much different from before, emitting the same depressing state that many had succumbed to. It was kill or be killed, all just for a little cash to stave off next month’s rent or to feed the drug addiction. What a vicious cycle. He saw how Shin’s expressions changed back there, in the dim, damp room. Pictures of bloodied skulls and missing limbs lined up side by side with the faces of the champions of that particular night. At first, Shin appeared to be skeptical about the whole situation, but when they had arrived, it seemed that his opinion changed when faced with the facts. However, Juch himself was a little surprised to see Shin take action that early. When he saw his “manager” walk in the direction of the exit, the old man was about to leave his seat before Shin stopped him. He was going to have a talk with the big man alone. It appeared a little reckless from Juch’s point of view, seeing that this was the first time that his companion had been to this place, but the android let him go on his way. His combat skills and ability to defuse conflicts was more than was needed to take on Fayzr, even in his most dangerous, drug induced state. “…a friend.” He had taken much notice of it at the time, but thinking about their meeting in the morning drew him back to that interesting word choice that Shin used. A favor for a friend, he said. It was rare that anyone referred to Juch as such, and those who did all resided in the shadows. He could count their number on one hand, but maybe now he’ll soon need two hands. Hmm… Was this what friendship was? Perhaps, perhaps. That imaginary social line that separate acquaintances from friends—had it been crossed? Shin did not do this purely for the motivation of saving lives, as Juch thought he would. No, his reasoning was different this time. Even if everything would turn out alright in the end, was this manipulation of someone who called him a “friend” justified, even on the off chance that Shin did not pursue the matter any further? He had plenty to think about, but now was not the time. If Shin was going to confront of the boss right away, then it left Juch a nice little window of opportunity to do what he wanted. He could prepare for the fights ahead, but he was rather confident about Fayzr getting taken down before hand, much less his chances of winning the matches set up before him. Juch had remained standing with the situation after that door closed, and Shin disappeared from his view. No, he had much more important things to do. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he approached the door as well. He would exit the room, but for a different reason altogether. Fayzr stole something from him, and he was going to get it back before it gets confiscated somehow. Slipping out into the shadows of the putrid hallway, the professor disappeared into the danker parts of the stadium. He probably knew this place better Fayzr himself… --- Heh, jackpot. He had found the items that had been wrenched away from him at last. --- Fayzr was done for, with all of his activities exposed before the very people that he leeched off of for so many years. It was over. Juch wore a neutral expression on his face as the drug lord was led away. And so an era finally ended; if these were better times, maybe things would have turned out differently. Maybe they could have worked together, even. Exhaling, Juch turned back to the group of fighters once again. Financially, this may cost him more than if he hadn’t entangled with this mess, but it was worth it. Shin just had a way with people, such a talent that Juch couldn’t possibly learn. They were calmed down right away, and even went along with the plan. The android gave them an address to go to, a place where some of his own men were waiting. With such a massive loss of life in the galaxy, each life now became so much more important—it was simple supply and demand; establishments in Ippen and Cactaylisma all needed able men and women, and these fighters would be great at the available jobs. Pressing his arm close to his white robe, Juch stepped out of the arena with Shin. The sunny day from earlier now all but disappeared, with a murky, stormy sky greeting their victory instead. The android had his eye on Shin as they walked a small distance away from the entrance of the underground stadium—there was something that he needed to talk to Shin about. However, before that was possible, his…friend stopped in his tracks, and the expression on his face changed abruptly. Shin mentioned something quickly about some person…“him” was the only identity that Juch was given before that quick departure left the android by himself, standing in the middle of the fields. A dangerous evil had been sensed, and Shin chased after it. A fellow with secrets of his own; Juch wasn’t the only one hiding details. He was not concerned with the evil as much as the perceived red light; wouldn’t it have been better to analyze the circumstances before diving in? Maybe there wasn’t enough time to. Should he follow, against the advice given to him? Without a plan or even a solid understanding of what exactly is going on, how good are the odds? The android took a few steps before rushing after his companion, whose retreating figure was growing smaller and smaller. Now substantially away from civilization, Juch landed in the middle of a small clearing in the middle of the woods. A gust of wind screamed through the area, blowing the incoming storm closer and closer. Juch’s white robe fluttered in the air, and relinquished the smuggled items from its bosom. They landed on the ground with a dull thud, forcing the professor the kneel down to retrieve them. …Dear Professor Juch… The corner of his right eye twitched. …We regret to inform you… As he held the first item in his hands, an uncharacteristic scowl began to deepen across Juch’s features. The old professor, who excluded no more emotions other than polite smiles and thoughtful frowns, gritted his teeth as his expressions darkened. …extended sabbatical… Tch. Did they think he was that stupid? That joint investigation into the Steel Legion and synthetic research by Kelioux and Avalon was causing some interesting side effects. Even if they didn’t say it, it was clear that his presence was no longer welcome at the Academy, even if it was temporary. What, were they afraid that he was going to go rogue? Were they defending against a possible repeat of history? Dammit. That Juno business messed everything up. He thought that maybe time was on his side, and that after everything cooled down after the war, he would resume his duties back at the Academy in due time. But no, they had to pull this stunt, asking him to essentially take a long, long time away. Maybe in a couple of months, they’ll let him back in, or maybe not? Who knows at this point. But he wasn’t going to be passive about it. He had other plans. He’ll set up his own lab, elsewhere; he had the resources to do so. He won’t need to rely on grant money, or be committed to any particular institution. He’ll undertake something new while he waited on their answer, a new strategy, a new look… His work into the study of ki was bearing fruit. He picked up the folded, tall red hat, eyeing it before placing it on top of his head. If the Academy would have him back, fine. But if not, he didn’t need them. This was only the next step. --- A figure covered in red leapt from branch to branch, a weak camoflague against the green foliage around him. Only one eye darted around, as the ground route was taken instead of the air. He had Shin’s ki signature in sight, and he will follow him there, out of sight. A white apron around his waist was all that was left of the robe from earlier, and it did not take long before Juch’s new body arrived at the scene unfolding up above in the sky. Near one of the many forests still left on Earth…this was where the great evil that Shin had talked about was located? He stopped underneath the leaves of a large tree, and peered up at the sky. Shin was there, along with…four other—what were those? One was engulfed in flames, one had water flowing around it, one was built of solid rock, and the last was almost invisible if it wasn’t for the chaotic wind currents flowing around it. What exactly were they facing? Hmm, on second thought this place seemed familiar. His eye caught a glimpse of an oil mining company in the distance. Aah, yes. He came here once before on a business trip. He may be mistaken, but there may be something lurking there as well… ----- Juch Word Count: 1,662 Total Word Count: 1,662 Quest Word Count: 1,662 + 2,030 = 3,692 |

The elementals had been released and the Storm King had clearly corrupted them. He was trying to figure out how to handle the situation when the professor arrived close behind. It was nice to see that Juch was at least friendly enough to him that he would have his back even if clear and present danger existed. He turned and glanced at Juch giving him a quick nod before turning his eyes back to the situation at hand. Corrupted elements of nature were not something to be messed with lightly. They started to move and the Kaioshin noticed the place they were going as he saw the look in the eyes of the professor as well. It was an oil plant off in the distance, one that was clearly polluting the planet with its work, but not something he would assume the demon would have wanted to mess with. He then took note of the entire area. The ruins, the fact that this was where the Storm King had chosen to act and then it clicked. This was the Earths Soul Well and the oil planet had been built upon what the elementals had been sworn to protect. Even if they were not corrupted the idea that they had seen such an atrocity in their eyes would bring them to action. It was just that they seemed much more hostile than they should have as the land they traversed on felt the full effects of the powerful flames, gale force winds, torrential water waves and crushing weight of the earth seemed to follow their movements. Supreme Kai turned and glanced at Juch and shook his head with great concern on his face. He knew more than he could reveal about what was going on, but this was clearly a bad situation. ”I believe we need to stop whatever those elementals are going to do. I am going to go try. If you wish to follow clearly I might need the help they look powerful.” The Kaioshin took off in flight bursting to intercept the elementals. As he landed before them moments later the defenders of nature stopped and seemingly started to size up this being that stood in their path. ”I come before you with only respect. You are the major 4 elements that keep this planet as lovely as it is, but I sense you have been corrupted by a force of evil. You have to remember it is your powers that make this planet lovely and you can’t give in to the demon to fix the problems this place has. It might not be perfect, but it is great because of you. The actions you seem focused on achieving are only going to end what you have so powerfully enhanced over the years.” The elementals stopped for a moment before the one of rock lashed out with a large rock fist at Supreme Kai. The Kaioshin burst into flight to avoid the strike, but as he did a gust of wind came out so powerful that even with his extreme power and control it knocked him off flight and into a powerful wave of water from below and a burst of fire from above. He fell from the elemental blasts he was then contacted with a brutal punch again from the Earth elemental sending him into the trees nearby and out of the path of the elementals who promptly continued down their path towards the Soul Well. The professor came up near his downed body just before the Kaioshin pushed himself off the ground. He looked at Juch and nodded as his friend helped him back to his feet. He was going to need help indeed, ”Ok so this situation has the potential to be very bad. You are smart so you have to be aware that the planet is primarily looked at as having 4 major elements; Earth, Wind, Water and Fire. The problem we are facing is from my own studies and understandings there are actually 5. The last is the life element. It is something that is trapped away in the planet and feeds life into all living beings. Some call it a soul, but others just look at it as life. The problem is if that elemental is released it will mean the end of life on this planet. Have you ever heard of a Tree of Might? It is a deadly tree that destroys the life element on the planet in order to infuse someone with great power. The reason the planet dies though is because the life element of the planet no longer exists. The being that released those elementals is a demon lord who is looking to kill me. I don’t know why he did this, but he did so for a reason. I have to stop the elementals one way or another, but I obviously am going to need some help on this. I don’t think this is something we can win with pure power alone though. I think we are going to need a real plan. Do you have any ideas in mind on how to stop them?” He spoke in a way that gave his friend the information he needed, but he was still concerned about revealing too much information. Knowledge of the Soul Well at least would be something he would hold back on. Hopefully he never had to go into that information anyways. If they got that far into the situation then clearly things had gone far too come back from. He didn’t even want to think about that right now. Enough things were going bad. Hopefully Juch would have a plan or else he would have to figure something out incredibly quickly. The elementals were extremely powerful and focused. They were also corrupted and violent. The oil factory and its workers were in big time trouble. They didn’t have long to get the situation under control either. It had the potential to be blood bath very quickly. The thunder clouds above rumbled again, their discontent at this turn of events mirroring Juch’s feelings as he remained in the background of this scenario. Staying hidden behind the thick tree trunk, his unscarred left eye peered out from the shadows. He still wasn’t entirely sure what had transpired, but one thing was for certain: he had little idea what those…well, individuals were—although “creatures” had been a tempting descriptor, it wouldn’t do to say that until he understood the situation. Shin was in front with that same concerned look that he had earlier. For someone like him, one who casually waltzed up to a well known drug lord like Fayzr and instigate conflict like that—and with the confidence to win, to have such an expression betrayed the gravity of the situation. Were these individuals the evil that Shin had described earlier? They were traversing the land, causing damage to the landscape, but this location was relatively far away from any known civilization. Juch pondered to himself; what could the goal of theirs be? Perhaps Shin would know more about the motives of those four…? The android’s eye met Shin’s, and the latter confirmed his suspicions; they were called elementals, no doubt physical representations of whatever their bodies are constructed of. Juch’s eye darted from Shin to the lumbering giants in the distance, and he noted the various elements: fire, wind, water, and earth. How interesting indeed. Finally, even if it was just a snippet, the professor had obtained the information to arm himself with. Almost in the very next instant, his mind began to think, to analyze. Shin was already flying towards them; he was showing no sign of an attempted ambush. By this trajectory of his flight, Juch had no doubt that his companion was merely going forth to intercept those four behemoths. In the meantime, another tree was consumed by the flickering flames of the fire elemental, its orange eyes glowing with rage. The chef’s hands reached down to grab hold of the apron hanging from his waist, and as he rubbed whatever imaginary dirty residue from his fingers, he honed in on the four elementals. They stomped across the land in a peculiar formation; at first glance, the way they positioned themselves was something that happened out of chance, that it just occurred like that due to convenience. However, the way that they made one straight horizontal line struck the android as a tad odd. It wasn’t like they were shooting a scene from a movie where the protagonist and his merry band was making their introductory opening. The massive earth elemental, whose thick limbs rivaled the old tree that Juch was standing underneath, stomped alongside the rest in a hurried fashion, while the remaining three had a different sort of gait. The air elemental seemed especially casual in its walking; no doubt it could move much faster should it deemed fit. The fire one was on the left, with the earth elemental next to it. On the other half was the water spirit, and finally ending with the air elemental on the right. Fire, earth, water, and air—that was the order that those four assumed. Hmm, well—Juch’s eye narrowed—it would be wise for fire and water to not be neighbors. Water could easily extinguish those red flames with the mess that it’s making with its very existence. Every footstep unleashed the liquid of life onto the earth. The plants would drink it in, in their own voracious way, but it did not take long for the grass below to be submerged in gallons upon gallons of water. With the air elemental right next to its water counterpart, the gales that surrounded the barely visible, lean physique whipped the water around. Much of it splashed onto the ground, while the rest of the clear liquid landed harmlessly on the rough exterior of the rock golem. Even from his position, Juch could see little droplets sprinkle down in a haphazard fashion. The violent winds were not close enough to tear apart the massive earth humanoid. Hmm, that makes sense. Composite elements are being shielded away from each other to not cause too much destruction to each other. With a team composed of two pairs of opposites…Hmm, it really isn’t an ideal setup by any means. It’s a possible exploitation. Shifting his gaze from the four behemoths to Shin, who just landed in front of them, the android stepped out of from underneath the tree into the open. The elementals have stopped in their tracks; was there a hint of recognition from the fire spirit, or was it just part of the periodic glowing of its irises? The air was still; the only sounds permeating the air was the crackling and popping of the smoldering vegetation left in the path of destruction. Arms folded across his chest, Juch waited to see if a resolution could be reached. He could hear Shin’s voice, talking to the four in an attempt to reason with them. From Shin’s words, it became increasingly clear to Juch that his initial presumptions were off by a bit. It turned out that the elementals were not the evil that they were dealing with in this case, but the puppeteer behind this. The elementals were corrupted by a demon of sorts? So by means of…well, Juch wasn’t really sure how the corruption process worked. He wasn’t even aware that this sort of thing actually happened, but here it was, happening right in front of him. What a crazy, crazy world. It was like the elementals were considering Shin’s words, but that small crumb of peace was breached by a hostile fist thrown by the earth elemental. The android watched the sudden display of violence, and his open eye twitched as Shin was finally sent flying away with the final blow from the elementals. There was an almost sickening crunch to the punch, and the fact that Shin was sent hurtling away faster than he flew over there to begin with was more than enough cause for concern. Gah, if he could catch him to lessen the impact a bit…! Juch leapt forward, his arms outreached in an attempt to salvage the situation, but Shin tumbled away just out of his reach and continued his painful path to the ground. Tch, he wasn’t fast enough. A small scowl began to blossom on the chef’s expression as he himself landed, with his most recent action a failure. An instant later, the android pushed himself up into the air with a single bound, onto the thick branch of a nearby tree. Using the extended limb as a spring board, the chef bent his knees into a forward flip, whipping through the air and landing right next to the battered Shin. A condolence prize, perhaps; reaching out with a scarred arm, Juch offered his hand to his friend. A strong, firm grip allowed him to help Shin up into a standing position. The professor was going to inquire further about the elementals, but Shin beat him to the chase with an explanation, something that the android was not expecting at all. After all, although the pair of them had been through much, they knew very little about each other’s past and background. It was purely business between the two. Just as Juch was still concealing his connections with the Star Wolves and other illegal, underground organizations, he was sure that there were details about Shin that have yet to be uncovered. After all, everyone has secrets; very few are completely transparent. And those who are…well, some of them don’t live very long, depending on the circumstances. Thus, this was a rare moment indeed; when Shin revealed that there was a demon lord after his life, Juch had a brief flashback of the time when the Planet Trade Organization sent that assassin. It was similar, but yet so different. After all, a demon lord… …the fires of hell resurfaced in Juch’s mind. It was a time that he would be more than happy to forget, but—when he was sentenced to that place, the figurative gavel slamming him down to those fiery prison bars… He didn’t want to dwell too much on it. The only reason he even made it out of there was due to sheer luck that he was set free. Could it be that the demon lord came from the afterlife? Juch had his eye closed in thought, taking in every word that Shin spoke. Each syllable was yet another snippet of information, and he drank it all in. It was a little odd at first that Shin introduced the notion of a fifth element, but then moved on to the facts about the demon lord, since the element of life was not there walking with the other four elements. After all, it was admitted that Shin had little notion of what the purpose of unleashing the elementals was. Hmm, how odd. Juch was at a loss for what the purpose of this operation was. They didn’t seem interested in taking Shin’s life, as evidenced by that last little scuffle. Where were they heading to then? Juch opened his eye and took a glance back into the direction of the giants. Right in their path was that oil mining factory. Could that be their target? Even if it wasn’t, at this rate, it would only be destroyed along with the rest of the forest should this continue. “I can provide a temporary solution, but my studies have not extended to how to remove this sort of corruption,” Juch opened his eye, facing Shin with a solemn expression, “The reason they got the better of you was their combined might. Separate them, and we can have a chance to stop them one by one. Fire and water cannot mix, neither can earth and air. Disrupting their coordination would be the best way to halt their advances.” “As they are heading towards the oil mining factory, the main cause for concern is fire and air. We’ll have a disaster on our hands if those two elements reach them. I’ll shackle water and air for now; we can use water to remove fire from the equation—the other way around is possible, but I cannot see how it would be as viable—while earth is less likely to reach the target than air. As they seem to be very focused on making their way to whatever destination they had in mind, we can set up an ambush with little difficulty,” the professor continued. “…however, that is the most I could do,” Juch said after a brief pause, “It’s a temporary solution, but we need to stop them in their tracks first before anything else. We’ll need to find some way to remove that corruption—some way to force that demon lord of yours to relinquish control. Otherwise, this problem cannot be fully solved.” Springing into action, Juch leapt up into the air, his hand reaching inside his apron pocket to produce a variety of colored candies. Gripping them into his palm, the android scattered the pieces down over the right side of the advancing line. As the objects landed, a colorful fireworks display ensued, with pops and fizzes accompanying the visual treat. The resulting sticky adhesives rooted the wind and water elementals to the ground, while the other two elementals stopped in their tracks to comprehend the situation. This time, it was Juch who landed in front of them; hopefully, he can steal their attention long enough for either Shin to arrive with reinforcements, or for him to diffuse the situation. ----- Juch Word Count: 1,944 Total Word Count: 1,944 + 1,662 = 3,606 Quest Word Count: 1,944 + 4,694 = 6,638 |

Juch’s idea held some merit. It was possible the elementals would rival one another if forced into a situation that would cause it, but the Kaioshin was not sure how to go about doing that. He also had no real intent of eliminating the elementals fore they had a much greater purpose for the survival of the planet then most knew. He just had to figure out a way to take away the corruption or at least stop them from thinking it was time to remove life from this planet. If the Soul Well was breached, then nothing would survive. All of the life on the third rock from the Milky Way Sun would be eradicated. Before Supreme Kai could explain the severity of the situation though, Juch had taken off to execute his very own plan. The Kaioshin knew the professor had good intent in his actions so he burst off to help him even though he was well aware that he couldn’t simply eliminate his enemies in this particular situation. As the good doctor created the mixing goo that seemed to halt the progression of two of the elementals the others turned their attention to him. Supreme Kai flew over quickly connecting with a surprise kick to the Earth Elemental knocking it off balance before turning to defend himself against the incoming burst of elementals attacks he figured were coming. A white shield of pure energy surrounded him as the elements crashed against the holy barrier dissipating before they caused too much harm to defender. He flipped back to create some distance, but the freed elementals charged in after him. He started to gather some energy before releasing an invisible blast of energy from his eye which pushed the fire elemental into the water elemental causing a massive eruption of steam as if they were in a hot sauna. While he did that Juch chimed in tossing blasts of his own into the earth elemental which was still stumbling around and knocking it down into the air elemental. As the two collections of energy merged though the powers seemed to be drawn together and instead of destroying one another or at least weakening them they seemed to almost fuse together as smoke billowed up from the area. The force was so great that both warriors were pushed far way. Supreme Kai gathered himself first and moved quickly to brace the reeling cook. Bracing his friend he stood strong, ”This is not good, can you feel that energy growing?” He said quickly and with some fear in his normally calm voice. The energy stopped and when the smoke and steam cleared the area all that stood was some miraculous fusion of the 4 major elements. Earth, wind water and fire all gathered together to make a super elemental of sorts that seemed to be flowing with the energies of all those mixed in with it. The Kaioshin immediately realized what was going on and started to grow increasingly concerned. The combined force of all of them would be something he would not be strong enough to beat without transforming and clearly the previous time he had done so had drawn some serious attention from the forces of Hell. The simple fact of the matter was he was running out of options. Peaking over his shoulder he realized just how far he had been pushed back by the powerful eruption of energy and looked to see the oil mining factory and with it the soul well it was unknowingly covering was closer than ever. They didn’t have time to figure out plans now. The combined elemental was closing in quickly. He looked down to a covered area near the factory and motioned his head in that direction before speaking with Juch once more, ”Take cover down there. I am going to try to hold them off until I can figure out how to undo the corruption the demon put on the elemental. At that point I think I can stop them from going through with the attack and save the planet.” As the professor listened he crossed his arms in front of his body and then unleashed his full power transforming in a brilliant flow of glowing white energy and flames as his power began to skyrocket to levels not even he truly knew he could reach consistently. The gigantic combined elemental did not take long to traverse the rest of the distance and before the Kaioshin knew it he was face to face with the combined might of planets natural elements. The elemental stopped suddenly seeing the celestial power which had been unleashed by the Kaioshin almost out of respect it seemed, but the corruption of the Storm King was far more than they could resist and they quickly snapped back to the mission of destruction. “Flee this area. It is our duty now to end this world for its corruption is too great. The place you stand before is just one of millions like it and the people of this planet are killing it. They don’t have permission to do so and we must stop its destruction ourselves. They have been deemed unfit to continue to live on this planet you have to see it!” The massive elemental spoke in a loud booming and demanding voice that seemed to draw the power from the planet itself. With only a simple nod of his head the Kaioshin seemed to deny the demand of the elemental just before lashing out sword in hand. Flames of even further growths of energy began to flow around him as the power of Kaioken also started to flow. With a powerful and precise series of strikes he began to unload on the elemental with everything he had and it was actually seemingly working as the elemental was being knocked back and damaged by the attacks. He continued the assault of vicious strikes until the massive hand of the elemental lashed out. Its size suddenly almost double his own body’s size as it connected with Supreme Kai. The Kaioshin though continued to resist and push back even against the odds. He could only hold on for so long though and after a few minutes he was forcefully pushed back and into an eruption of flames, tidal waves and lightning strikes. He tried to gather himself, but as he did he was caught off guard when the Elemental was suddenly above him and his massive foot was coming down to force him to the surface and crush him against the planet he was trying to defend. With a scream of desperation the Kaioshin was struggling to escape right up till when the foot of the Elemental crashed into the ground below. Juch feared the worse for a brief moment until the Kaioshin appeared next to him almost instantly after the foot crashed to the ground. ”Do you have Any ideas now? Nothing seems to be working and no matter what I do the thing seems to be just too powerful to really defeat.” The doctor nodded his head puzzled for a brief moment before devising a plan, ”They seem to think the planet is corrupted beyond repair and unhealthy. Can you somehow show them that it is in fact healthy? Maybe then you can find a way to at least remove the corruption that seemingly is driving them to the destruction they are causing.” The plan made sense and Supreme Kai knew exactly how he might be able to do this. ”Good idea; if you feel a pull at your energy release it I think I am going to need everything I can muster for this to really work here. I’m going to try something crazy!” He popped back into the air before the elemental who looked ready to strike once more, but the Kaioshin spoke up once more, ”You believe this planet is near death, well let me show you otherwise and then maybe we can figure out a way to make it better, together!” The elementals glared at him, but they didn’t lash out. They were going to listen to reasoning for now it seemed like. Supreme Kai pushed his hands into the air and began to gather forth the energy required for a powerful spirit bomb. He gathered and gathered some more till the sky was filled with the powerful glowing blue ball of energy almost as if the planet had spawned a second sun of sorts. At this point the energy was so great that the elemental even turned towards it. The red taint of sorts in its eyes started to fade away. The Kaioshin then continued, ”This is but a small fraction of this planets life force. This planet is fine and while it has some issues it is far from dead. Whatever put that thought in your being was wrong. Allow me to free you from his corruption and send you back to rest so that you can properly protect this flourishing world!” The gigantic elemental stopped and nodded, ”It is true. We are corrupted in order to not see this before. If you believe that ball will save us then use it quickly before the corruption comes back! With a bow of respect the Kaioshin tossed the ball down at the elemental which took it straight to the face and as it hit the combined force seemed to release the bonded beings and free them of the corruption as the powers of the spirit bomb seemed to reinvigorate those that had donated to the power of the ball in the first place. As the explosion of energy settled he looked at the healthy and uncorrupted elementals below. In a flicker of their respective energy they seemed to be summoned back to the area which held them and vanished back into the core of the planet. Supreme Kai flew down and landed near his friend who was also drained of energy from what he had given. He reverted back to his regular form and smiled, ”Thank you for your help and the plan friend. I am not sure I would have been able to do this without you.” He then realized that tidbits of the elementals energy was still around and he saw them rise into the air and circle together creating a face of sorts, ”You two risked much to save this planet. For that we will grant you some of our powers so that you may be our living embodiment. Continue to protect this planet and hopefully we will never meet again.” With that the remains of the elementals seemed to flow over the two warriors blessing them with some sort of their power before fading away once again and leaving the Kaioshin and Cook to their own devices. For now the planet was safe once more!” WC: 1809 SK WC: 4841 Quest WC: 8447 |
