-Upgrades to equipment, such as Roshi's Augments, cannot be inscribed, only equipment itself.

-You can't interlock Arm Blasters.

-The Combat Rune does not affect planet battles.

-If you've used the Tome of Martial Arts to gain a second stance and use Amnesia Greens to forget one, you can learn another stance in its place.

-You cannot use the Tome of Martial Arts to learn Zekmant and Blademaster's Stance

-You CAN trade items so long as the items being traded are regularly sellable to that person.

-You can auction saga and quest items but not directly sell them.

-Sunstone Shard does not have to be a prepared item.

-When Sunstone Shard is used to insta-charge a tech, this takes one action. For example:
1. Sunstone Shard.
2. Fire Kamehameha.

-If you use a Phonic Ray before you get your super form but don’t get the form till after you reach the requirements, you still get the 5% bonus.

-Hybrids can get Spiritken with Phonic Ray.

-Saiyans can get Giji with Phonic Ray.

-If you use a Phonic Ray, and then Blood Transfusion, you may use the Phonic Ray again.

-Icicle Gloves only work on the first opponent.

-It is possible to steal all of someone’s Dragon Balls in one go if you beat them in a battle.

-You cannot search for Dragon Balls if you’re recovering from a battle loss.

-You cannot train in a Gravitron unless you have finished installing it in a ship.

-Status Field Generators cannot be used to block attacks or to isolate people. Their only purpose is to stop people from jumping or fleeing the battle.

-You cannot dig under an SFG to pass through it.

-If you plant a Tree of Might seed and something happens to stop you eating the fruit, you may plant another seed.

-Contest items cannot be stolen or sold.

-If you use Cybernetic Augmentation to become a cyborg after losing a battle, you are still considered alive.

-With Cybernetic Augmentations: You can still eat Sensu Beans. You cannot use Repair Kits. You do not have to use Hikou instead of Bukujustu. Also, you cannot learn android moves or use the item “Weapons Upgrade” that teaches you special Android moves.

-You cannot use Cybernetic Augmentations on sidekicks/henchmen.

-An Elder Gem can only be used on advanced and fundamental attacks.

-It is possible to combine two of the same rings, even if they have different inscriptions. However, this will destroy the inscriptions.

-Things that restore Ki do not also restore stamina unless they say so.

-You will not lose the Maverick Items if you die.

-Stitching Zekka Gauntlets and Thieves Gloves creates a new pair of gloves that are still sneakable and stealable.

-If you steal a prepared item in battle using Thieves Gloves that would normally be re-usable in the next battle, it goes back to its owner after the battle unless you win the battle (and decide to steal it permanently during the kill/steal/spare decision) or flee from the battle.

-If you use Amnesia Greens to forget a custom technique, you can learn a new one. This will require a second purchase of the Technique Mastery item in the case of Finishers.

-You cannot have a Dragon Amulet and Scale Amulet in the same accessory slot.

-When you use a Portal, you do not lose your Rare items.

-Adel's Ki Mastery reduces the Ki cost of one technique.

-Technique Scanner can only be used in battles.

-Technique Scanner takes an action to use.

-Limbs can be regenerated in a Rejuvenation Tank.

-Quest items, saga items, and token items cannot be placed into alliance vaults.

-You cannot inscribe a Dragon Radar

-Using Amnesia Greens 2 to learn a different Passive on a level 2 Passive will make your new Passive level 1

-You can only recharge planet-specific items on the planet that they are bought on.

-The Dragon Balls can only be used to wish for normal items; not Rare, Scenario, Quest, Contest, Token, or Donation

-You cannot use the Legend of the Blademaster donation item to learn the Blademaster Stance

-

[align=center]INSTANT TRANSMISSION[/align]

-Instant Transmission can still be used defensively when coupled to a move, but only once per battle total.

-You cannot jump into a battle currently in progress if you have used Instant Transmission to travel that week.

-You cannot use Instant Transmission in battle if you have already used it to travel that week. It's also true that you cannot use IT to travel if you have already used it in battle.

-Instant Transmission can't be used to flee battles. Using IT in the same action as "flee" is not possible.

-You can travel with Instant Transmission even if it is not coupled.

-Instant Transmission can be used for physical attacks even if not coupled. This includes unblockable attacks such as when a Namekian has Kyodaika.

-It is possible to dodge an Instant Transmission attack by dodging with Instant Transmission.

-You can Instant Transmission in or out of a Status Field Generator, but it can only take you as far as the other side of the barrier. I.E.-
ITing out of a SFG and to "the other side of the planet" is not possible.

-You can use Instant Transmission to take your ship with you but the maximum number of PCs that may travel this way is still 2 (the person with IT and a friend).

-You cannot couple Instant Transmission with a finisher.

- Instant Transmission cannot be used with Area of Effect (AOE) techniques.

-There are only three ways to use Instant Transmission in battle-
1) With the attack it's coupled with (or a physical) to make it undodgeable.
2) To dodge an attack.
3) To pass through a Status Field Generator.

-You can still use IT in a battle should you enter the week after traveling.

[align=center]BATTLES[/align]

-You must spend 2 actions to defend against the two attacks used with Second Wave.

-Second Wave’s usability is based on the original cost of the attacks being used.

-Attacks that include multiple attacks in its description take that many actions to successfully defend.
Ex – Double Energy Wave is 2 Energy Waves so will need 2 actions to defend

-Armor that does not reduce damage, but adds to your stats, increases your power level (otherwise it doesn't).

-Inscriptions increase PL as well.

-If you use Deca Form/Tri Form in the middle of your post, they share your remaining actions.

-When recovering, you can only do Meditation Training (no equipment gains), Gem Spars, Buying/Selling and Roleplaying. Nothing else.

-Champion passive bonus apply to the Kassac / Arlian Arena planet fights.

-Fighting the Kassack / Arlian Gladiators does not make you immune to Sneak Attacks.

-Androids do not have unlimited ki. They have 100% like all other races.

-You cannot use more than 100% ki in a battle. Restoring Ki that has already been used does not mean you've gone over 100%.

-In a battle, you cannot kill AND steal.

-Even with Telepathy, the first attack in a sneak is undodgeable.

-If you win a 2v1 you can steal from or kill both opponents.

-If you lose a 2v1 only one opponent can steal from you OR kill you. You can't be killed and stolen from in the same battle.

-Sensu Beans can be used while you are getting pummeled but might not work.

-It is impossible to dodge/block/avoid in any way items such as grenades.

-Dyne/Yokata Power Up only restores 25% of Ki that was used.

-Accelerated methods of movement do not stack. Bukujutsu does not apply to this ruling. Power Fly, Speed Teleport, Zanzoken, Instant Transmission, etc.

-Even if Ki Mastery slows down your fatiguing, things that restore your fatigue still work to maximum effect.

-When you "die" in battle, you will be dead as of your next update. There's no need to wait until bonuses are posted.

-You should be updating your Wiki to reflect your location as the ND as soon as you die in battle. If you're brought back via Resurrection Gauntlets or a Phoenix Down, you can change it again.

-It is possible to change sides in a battle.

-You can fly as a controlled Oozaru.

-Demons cannot be Majin'd or have Majin stack with their other transformations.

-Demon Hybrids unlock Majin at 15,000 PL.

-You can use your own super forms when you have Majin. Any form can be stacked with it except for Awakening and Changeling Transformation 1. If this is done, the bonus is the stat bonus from the form that isn’t Majin, and the combined percentage bonus of the two forms.

-You can kill someone who has Majin'd you.

-Kaioken DOES stack with transformations. However, the percentage boosts from Kaioken only apply to your BASE stats, not your stats while in your transformed state.

-You cannot use Kaioken if you are evil, even if you learned it while you were good.

-In battles, the most allowed on one side are: Yourself +1, an alliance mate, and someone with the Loyal Passive.

-You can use your Finisher as soon as you jump a battle if your side has already met the post requirements for using one.

-If you die in a battle when your side is full, another cannot join in your place. The exception to this would be if it is a Henchman who dies. In this case, someone may join in their place.

-Up to three people can participate in grapples on each side, though with every person that joins past the first, every member of that side loses an action off their bonus. For example:
Grapple 1 vs 1: Both players receive +2 actions.
Grapple 2 vs 1: Opponent receives +2; The two allies receive +1
Grapple 3 vs 1(limit): Opponent receives +2; The three allies receive no bonus actions.

-Using your first post in a battle to do non-combat RP does not get around the effect of Icicle Gloves.

-If you are sneak attacked, you may not change your equipment, buy usable items, or do anything else that might help in the battle.

-When you enter any battle, your wiki becomes "frozen" as of your first post. From that point forward you may not spend your Zeni (unless it is above and beyond what you had when you entered) or sell any items in your inventory to avoid having them stolen.

-If you sneak someone but they have already traveled to another planet in their update, and said update is approved, your sneak is invalid even if they haven’t updated their wiki.

-You can jump battles or sneak someone on a planet even if your wiki says you aren’t there if you have an approved update in which you arrive.

-If you are sneaked, you cannot have someone else post before your first post to take the hits for you.

-If you are the cause for a battle not reaching 8 posts, you will not receive bonuses, though your opponent still will.

-Trait bonuses from alignment only work in battle.

-You can fire each of your finishers once in a battle. So if you had three finishers, you could use all three in the same battle (once each).

-You cannot defend/block/dodge while paralyzed by Body Bind.

-Zanzoken and Double Zanzoken cannot stack.

-Stun actions must go after your reactions.

-Stun actions cannot be countered.

-Stun actions count towards the 7 action limit in battle.

-Only physical attack combos can be used against a stunned opponent.

-You cannot stun someone when they are already stunned. In other words you cannot stack stun effects.

-If you use an action reducer on someone that is supposed to take away more actions than they have in their turn, they will lose actions from their next turn as well.

-If you have double your opponent’s speed you can do two weapon attacks in one action.

-You can counter a weapon attack but not a weapon tech.

-Your total number of counters is based off the base stats of the strongest opponent in a group battle.

-Sword Techs do not have the Slice critical effect unless they say so in the description.

-If you get the RP bonus and it makes your PL higher than your opponent, you do get a counter attack.

-If you have battle bonuses or transform and it puts you over the Speed requirements to get an extra action, you get that action in the same post.

-You may not attack before accepting a grapple but you may defend yourself first.

-Blast Punch and Seraphin Punch can now also end grapples, as can any other technique that could classify as a special attack that's usable in a grapple.

-Mystic Attack and Telekinesis can be used in grapples.

-You can defend against incoming Ki attacks while in a grapple.

-It is impossible to sword grapple with Telekinesis.

-Energy Kyushu drains Ki and Stamina.

-Absorbing a technique with Energy Kyushu will give you the same amount of energy that was used to fire it. For example, since arm blaster requires no energy to fire, absorbing it would give you no energy.

-If charged, Solar Flare as a Damage Rating of 1. It does not increase your PL as other Advanced do.

-Energy Doubler can be used with Advanced or Finishers that can't be charged normally.

-Attacks that are Energy Doubled are considered "charged" and can't be negated by techs/items that defend against "uncharged" advanced.

-You cannot use Energy Doubler with attacks that are "undodgable" or "unblockable" (Static Flicker/etc), unless the tech has been made undodgable with Instant Transmission.

-You must know Energy Charger to learn/use Energy Doubler.

-You can escape a dying planet when you are not in the battle to protect that planet simply by traveling off the planet in your next update.

-If you are in a battle to protect/destroy a dying planet, you may only escape the planet if-
1) You survive the battle.
2) You haven't updated yet for the week the battle ends (in that update, you will travel via ship or IT to leave the planet).

-If you use Pressure Points, the opponent must still use the Ki for their technique.

-Double Strike is a permanent affect and does not stack.

-Custom moves can only have one critical effect. If there is more than one, you must choose which one you want to affect your opponent when you get a critical.

-Custom Fundamentals with critical effects must have limits on how many times they can be used per battle.

-Even with their permission, you may not learn someone else’s Custom tech.

-The 24 Hour Rule does not apply to NPCs. It's extended to 48 hours before you can skip their turn. An NPC can still 24 hour rule a PC, however.

-If you need to edit your battle post, you have exactly 24 hours (from the original time of posting) for your post to be legal before you can be skipped.

-The 2 actions you receive from Sneaky Boots cannot be removed by Scouters, Sense, or Telepathy. However, even if someone is wearing them, the initial two actions for sneak attacks can still be lowered by Scouters, Sense and Telepathy.

-Posting order between teammates in battle can be changed if they agree on switching, but only if it doesn't break the flow of battle. Their opponents have no say in the changes.

-You do not need permission to join someone’s side in a battle.

--You may 24 Hour someone in a battle even if they have been forced to go temporarily inactive in the middle of the fight.

-If you win a beam struggle, your attack is considered “almost impossible” to dodge.

-Fisticuffs only makes it so you can't equip weapons that you can learn techniques from. For example, swords, axes, spears and staves. You may still equip things like arm blasters, the guns on Damaskia, and kunai.

-Power Pole’s extend ability is considered an item effect and cannot be countered or defended against using things that defend Physical Combos

-You cannot combine Hassuken (Shiyoken), Kaio-Ken, and Invisible Jumping in one action.

-You cannot combine Hassuken, Illusion Wolf, and Kaio-ken in 1 action

-You cannot combine Hassuken and Illusion Wolf

-Kyodaika and Oozaru cannot use weapons (but may still have them equipped)

-Flame Shield’s duration is based on successful physical contact, not attempted contacts.

-Editing your post a few hours before the 24 hour mark does not increase the time for allies to post

-Two 24 hours in a row forces the opponent to forfeit.

-Kyodaiki and Oozaru cannot use abilities of weapons while in this form.

-You can transform to defend an opponent’s charged attack. This still costs 1 action

-It takes 1 action to de-transform

-Triple Strike takes 3 actions to defend, however it cannot be completely defended against

-Martial Arts Database negates the second attack from Second Wave

-Body Shield’s 3 uses apply to all physical strikes thrown in the three actions being blocked. Critical effects do not take place in the first block.

-Reducing the cost of the technique by means of Guru Staff or Mastery does not lower the power level boost of the attack

-Only Revive or Phoenix Down, or another revival method to bring back a KO’d ally

- You cannot attack a KO’d person to kill them

[align=center]HENCHMEN/SIDEKICKS/SECOND SOULS[/align]
-You can't Majin your Second Soul

-Henchmen can only wear the items outlined on this page.

-Henchmen cannot fight Kassacks.

-Henchmen cannot give DP to their master.

-Henchmen cannot be sold.

-Henchmen cannot join a separate alliance.

-Second souls cannot battle or spar against your main character, but you may roleplay in the same thread.

-You can't sell DP/SP, or anything to your Second Soul.

-The main character and the second soul both get two cheap uses of Watarian Implants.

-Second Souls can use Scroll of Teleportation, Watarian Implants, Blood Transfusion, Cybernetic Augmentations, License to Kill, Permit to Sell, Phonic Ray, and Sneaky boots.

-Second Souls can have a limited quantity donation item but only if your main character doesn't.

-Minor Second Souls cannot use limited quantity items but Major Second Souls can.

-A Demon can Majin his Officer.

-Henchmen can gain RP bonuses except for Zeni, Quest Items & Tokens

-Henchmen can train in gravity with their master but do not get gravity gains from doing so. They do, however, get gains from planet gravity.

-Henchmen do count towards the handicap action(s) in battle, unless they are a Saibaman or Bioman.

[align=center]ALLIANCES[/align]
-You can only store two rare items in an Alliance Vault.

-Alliances may gather the Dragonballs together and make a collective wish (one person from the group will be chosen to make the wish).

-All seven Dragonballs must be in the wish maker's possession when the wish is made.

-You can begin transferring the Dragonballs to the designated wish maker immediately after claiming them. One week (seven days) after the transfer is approved, the wish maker may post his update taking the Dragonballs and making the wish.

-Dragonballs must be listed on the wiki in the possession of the person who originally claimed them during the transferring process.

-To transfer the Dragonball(s) into another person's possession, you must list it in your update like so: "Transferring #Star Dragonball to [member name] (0/1)"

-Dragonballs can be transferred this way between alliance members only.

-The only way to win an Alliance War is to kill every member of the opposing alliance.

-If you die in an Alliance War and are revived before it is over, you may not
participate in the war a second time.

-Alliance Wars cannot be jumped to be a 2v1 battle. It is a volley of 1v1s.

-Alliances MUST keep their Wiki up to date.

-Co-Captains can donate to their alliance based on Charisma (max of 300z).

[align=center]MISC.[/align]

-The Professional Passive stacks with the Alien bonus.

-You can't sell the Saiyan exclusive items on Vegeta's Training Base to non-Saiyans.

-Token items can be stolen.

-You can't work, read, or build while in the Fire Temple.

-You can read but not build while traveling in space.

-When leveling up your Fighting Style, your spar and battle counters reset.

-You can't stop being a ref for a battle in order to join it.

-Multiple people can co-write one large post for an RP and split the word count.

-A Quest can be ended as soon as a word limit is reached.

-When a multiple reward quest is finished, all participants get to choose their own reward.

-If you were to win an auction, but then lose your money in a battle before that auction is officially over, the next highest bidder gets the item. If you were the only bidder, the item goes unsold.

-If you switch characters, you lose your transformations and must gain them again, unless you're switching to a character of the same race.

-You cannot use Watarian Implants implants to change your current character’s race

-Build and Job counters reset when you are healing after a battle.

-You cannot Master Train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

-You can roleplay, spar, and battle all at the same time.

-You can spar and battle the same person in the same week.

-You can use Hikou to stay on Ippen.

-You cannot RP a taken character as an NPC.

-If you are Lawful Good but your alignment is below +7, you can not use the HBTC. Same goes for Chaotic Evil and the ToM.

-Cell cannot learn any android only moves.

-You can level up Techniques more than once in an update (if you have the SP)

-Custom Techniques do not count toward the number of techs you need to learn advanced or finishers.

-Custom Techniques do not take up regular technique slots.

-Custom Techniques do not require you to be training with a master when you learn them.

-Custom Techniques cannot be leveled up.

-You cannot travel while Recovering

-Changeling Henchmen count towards the overall limit; they are just a free henchmen.

-The Dragon Balls can only be used to wish for Available Techniques

-To do Lucifer or the Grand Kai’s trial, you must be on their planet

After further discussion with Alex, he has stated that the site is indeed referring to the Zenkai special ability when a Saiyan LOSES a battle. It is not simply when a Saiyan battles that they are able to supersede the winner's cap @ 10,000 pl.

The logs are on my phone, but if I have to get them I will provide them and edit them into this post. I assure you, I have bothered Alex on it twice already tonight.

Means that all people involved have to actually write a part of that large post and the word count is split evenly amongst the players that wrote it. You cannot donate word count to another person in your PS.

Counters are calculated in total v all characters on the field of battle, not per opponent. You calculate them based off each teams' strongest foe.

Asked Alex about this awhile ago when I was reffing the Aria v. Chishan battle, forgot to post it then, but figured I should let others know.

Okay so a lot of rules get posted, but randomly so it's frustrating when i try to find them but can't. Here we go.


You can detrans during a grapple.

This makes sense because detransing doesn't cost an action, and as we see here, free actions can go in any order.

It takes three actions to deal with triple strike.

Martial Arts Database cuts off the second attack of Second Wave, not the entire thing.

Power fly only increases your speed for dodging or making physical attacks.


So yea, these are current rulings to my knowledge, and if they get changed they shouldn't affect current battles, blahblahblah etc.

No reason i should even need to ask this.... but telepathy works against the first attack against you right? This is the description, or part of it: "Dodges the first attack made on you in battle."

If you extend the power pole to make it undodgable, you cannot counter it.

According to Junior


Tommeh- does body shield block only 1 SA/QA or the whole combo in that action?
Junior Hiiragi-the whole combo

Body Shield applies to combos, not individual attacks, like everything else

Based on a conversation with Alex here is how the intervention in a battle will work:

Player A wants to intervene in a battle. To do so they must inform the ref.

When they informed the ref it was Player B's turn to post. Since they haven't posted yet Player A will post after them.

Player B posts. After this the ref will then inform the combatants that it is Player A's turn to post and they will intervene in the battle.

An intervention will never interfere with another's post. They will always go after the current turn.

Students/Officers/Evolved Saibamen can learn KM1.

Opal Electricity can negate both attacks in double techs, but other methods can't. (Except for K.A.D.)

Beam struggles don't go on for potentially an infinite number of posts. It has to be resolved, and while in one you have no other actions.

Beam struggles are already clear cut lol (main site):

Defender does a block and puts X amount of ki.
Attacker chooses whether or not to try to win or lose. The end.

Unless you have proof that what you've listed was ruled by Alex, it makes defending with a beam struggle utterly useless for the defender because they'd lose all the actions in their defending turn while the attacker suffers no penalty.
