"Alright, Love this will only take a few moments." Zeta said softly as her silky smooth fingers gingerly grazed the underside of her sibling's chin. Quite confident, even joyous in her mannerisms, the decision to finally upgrade her core system of operation had been one worthy of great celebration.

Still slightly apprehensive however about the process in which her Sempai had unwittingly convinced her of, Raine was outwardly less than enthused. "Are you absolutely sure this isn't going to hurt, Z?"

"Hurt? Sweetheart, we're almost done." Laughing lightly to herself as she delicately removed the small USB chord from the base of teen's lobe the belle simply smiled. "The hard part is already over, Squirt. You're just going to take a little nap now while the system resets and we're done.""Wait, that's it?" Raine curiously replied.

"That's it." Zeta concurred pleasantly. Placing the small coaxial cable carefully down, the busty lass nonchalantly walked off. "You worry too much, kiddo. What were you expecting? We stopped being able to feel pain eons ago. When are you going to stop acting so human?" Laughing lightly to herself in wake of her sibling's lifelike sentiments, she casually closed the door behind herself.

Now alone sitting comfortably upon an elegantly outfitted staging bed, the teen childishly threw up her arms. "Ugh... she is so weird sometimes..." Raine said, peacefully flopping upon her back. "Stupid Zeta..."

Closing her eyes in open embarrass of the impending sleep moderesulting from the system reboot, the young teen softly sighed.

“We're here.” Her words were barely audible over the sound of the rushing wind. Avalon was a windy planet, especially up at a height like this. Maragai stood perched at the top of the tallest skyscraper poised in Avalon's busiest super city. Tork'thal had taken her here so he could conduct some business. When the child of light had asked him about it, he had refused to tell her. Just what was so important that it had to be kept in secret? Sometimes, Maragai thought that the earthen Vessel existed solely to keep her in check and make sure she couldn't do anything dangerous.

“Yes, my love,” Je'sheln said, brushing against her host's leg. Her white fur was fluffed out against the sharp wind and her golden eyes were narrowed. “We are. So what do you think?” The lupine nodded her nose towards the city below. “Pretty impressive when it comes to technology, isn't it?”

“They must be hundreds of years ahead of humans in that department,” Maragai remarked, watching as a corvette speeder flew through the air, spinning as it banked a sharp corner between two buildings. The bustling city roared loudly like a massive hive of bees. Suddenly, Maragai felt a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of the civilization.

“Thousands, Maragai,” Je'sheln corrected the Host of Light. “The Avalonians are at least a thousand years ahead. But even this pales in the face of the Damaskians.”

“But they're more geared for war, aren't they?” Maragai asked. The child closed her eyes, remembering the stories her mother had told her about the Execution Force and Avalon's universe wide ban on super powers. Many had assumed that the squads of super soldiers had hailed from Avalon. Suddenly, the Protectorate had stood alone against the angry armies of the Saiyans and Ice-jins.

Eventually, the child of light decided to take her exploration to the streets below. Je'sheln hadn't been too fond of the idea; according to her, the streets were where most of the street thugs and common criminals hung out. But Maragai had reassured the lupine of light that she would be more than capable of defending herself should anybody or anything come to start trouble. But as she landed on the dim lit streets of the slums, Maragai was suddenly wondering if her plan had been the smartest. There were Avalonians here, but they were dressed in rags and both looked and smelled as if they hadn't washed in a month. Maragai wrinkled her nose at the pungent scent that wafted through the streets.

“Satisfied?” Je'sheln's voice came through the beautiful gemstone that rested against her chest. “Now let's get out of here! This is no place for civilized people, you know!”

“Mmm.” Maragai gave a grunt as a response, but she was more than happy to leave these streets behind and get to a higher realm of living. She didn't like the way that the Avalonians down here glared at her as if she were some sort of criminal. She shuddered as one of the aliens took a step forward, his eyes bright. Slowly, the man licked his lips as if he had just sank his teeth into a juicy steak. He edged forward a bit further until Maragai shot up into the sky, enveloping her tiny body in a beautiful amethyst aura. Soon, she was away from the creeps below as she landed on the streets of the second level.

Maragai allowed her aura to drop with a sigh as she looked around. Though this level of the Avalonian city was not much better than the basement level, Maragai felt a bit comforted by the small fact that people were milling about doing their own thing rather than huddling together like rats. Only then, did the barrel of a gun touch the base of her neck and the sound of an angry male meet her ears.

“Freeze!”

For a moment, the child stood there, frozen in both confusion and a bit of fear. But after that bout, the girl dared to spin around, knocking the weapon out of her assailant's hand and tried to shuffle forward and knock the man away. Too late, did she realize, that the Avalonian had reached forward, his other hand containing a powerful taser. As soon as the two prongs touched her skin, At once, a massive surge of electricity traveled through her body, darkening her vision and causing the child to collapse.

"Tisk Tisk." An ominously arrogant femme fatale subtly said in an outwardly obvious tone of distaste. Sitting comfortably on an edge of crumbling stone and steel above, the silver haired harlet condescendingly shook her head. "Now that's no way to treat a lady." She added. "Why if I didn't know any better, I'd say you boys were up to no good." Paying little mind to the pair of uniformed soldiers slowly creeping in from behind, Zeta simply sat in place. With her legs comfortably crossed atop one another, the belle nonchalantly leaned forward. Well aware of the impending danger quickly encroaching her person, her malicious gaze remained fixated upon Maragai's attacker.

"Darlin' you should have kept that pretty little mouth shut of yours shut. The Protectorate doesn't have time to play games with the likes of you." The Officer angrily barked. "I'd say it'sabout time you learned a little respect."

Nodding to his cohorts as they quickly closed the gap, the two Avalonian soldiers thrusted their electrified wands forward. Pressing their barbed batons firmly into the back and shoulder of the sassy synthetic, an awe inspiring explosion of lustrous luminescence wildly erupted.

"Oooh yeah!" Zeta seductively giggled aloud. "You shouldn't have. You boys could have at least bought me dinner first."

"What the?!" The Officer angrily exclaimed. Furiously throwing his gloves hand down to the side the man balled his fists in a fit of rage.

Playfully raising her right hand gracefully into the air the bustybelle innocently smiled. "You people will never learn will you?" She sighed.

Suspending the pair of unsuspecting assailants in the air by means of the maiden's telekinesis, the woman's eyes brilliantly began to glow an awesome electrical blue hue.

"Zeta?!" Je'Sheln surprisingly stated out loud. "What is she doing here?" Perplexed by that nature of the android's unexpected appearance in the bustling alien metropolis the Guardian shuddered with a sense of overwhelming uncertainty. Perhaps only a coincidence that the synthetic surfaced only after the Vessel had been attacked, the burning question continuously repeated within. "...why?"

Throwing her hand forward as if to unenthusiasticly wave at the Heiress' attacker, Zeta fired the two sinisterlooking soldiers down to the littered ground below.

"Four!!!" She yelled playfully, watching the men tumble erratically head over heels. Evidently unaware of the true nature of the beast they had awoken the men crashed chaoticlly into their commanding officer. "Oops." Z childishly laughed in response. "...I think I done did broke em." Foolishly covering her mouth with her folded hand the maiden stupidly smiled. It wasn't like the soldiers posed any real threat. Their combined power levels were only in the double digits. Still, they did attack the Vessel of Light. What their intentions were had they been left uninterrupted were quite unclear. Though the simple thought of whatever tasteless acts they could have been capable of were enough to turn the maiden's cybernetic stomach."Argh! No way!" She suddenly shouted aloud. Proudly proclaiming to the world Zeta shouted. "You stay away from Miss Mara, you hear me, you Protectorate perverts?!" Rising swiftly to her feet the belle placed her hands firmly upon each of her hips. "Y'all head on home now ya hear?" Rather embarrassed by what her wandering mind's eye had projected within the maiden blushed a beat hue of deep red. "Stupid boys..."

Vanishing suddenly the belle instantly appeared knelt at the Vessel's side. "What are we going to do with you, kid?" Z said as she casually shook her head.

"Hey! Yo I'm taking to you!" The enraged Avalonian Officer rudely shouted.

Instantly shifting her admiring expression to that of an insidiousglare, the iron maiden furiously focused in upon the band of three foolishly brash gutter rats.

"You're going to pay for that, wench. No one attacks a soldier of the Protectorate and gets away with it."

"Yeah!" A second pint sized peon barked. "An attack on an emmisary of the Council is the same as an attack on the Council itself."

"Blah blah blah thpppppp." The vixen arrogantly imitated the men. "Has anyone ever told you people that you talk too much? Gawd it's like all you people do is talk. Just go away already. You people are annoying me."

"Annoying?! Why of all the inconsiderate... you'll pay for that!"

"Yeah?" Zeta childishly replied. Sohow much is the respect of someone like you really worth? Three, four zeni, tops?" Jiggling a small hand full of spare change softly in her palm the sinister synthetic suddenly smirked. Snapping a single coin sharply between her fingers the maiden shot the shiny trinket furiously forward. Maliciously mutilating the smallest of the soldiers as it blindly passed through his armor, the coin raced feverishly into the fading horizon.

"Ugh!" The Officer and remaining soldier gasped in unison as their companion fell lifeless to his knees.

Smiling innocently at the pair Zeta playfully winked.

"Maragai! Maragai!" The howl coming from Je'sheln was lost in the storm of darkness that quickly wrapped around Maragai's mind as she fell to the ground with a thud. Her body twitched unnaturally as the leftover electricity coursed through her body and touched her nerves. Though the gateway was blocked from the naked eye, pressed against the road and Maragai's chest, it began to glow brilliantly to allow the powerful form of a massive white lupine passage into the realm.

With a titanic roar that seemed to shake the entire city, Je'sheln leaped forward, her white fangs flashing in the sunlight as she sank them deeply into her host's assailant. The man let out a blood curdling scream as he tried to snatch his limb away from the wolf's vice-like grip. But as Je'sheln dug her paws into the pavement, it was obvious that the Avalonian soldier was not going to be able to get free from the goddess' bite. Only when the lupine's paws shuffle and the goddess shift her stance, did the soldier get spun around and flung into a nearby wall. The brick and stone shattered from the force of his body hitting the side of the building. He sank to the ground, unmoving - most likely passed out from the pain of the lupine's sharp teeth crushing his arm.

But that wasn't about to be the end of it. Like shadows, more forms dropped from nearby windows and building tops. Soon, Je'sheln found herself surrounded by an entire platoon. Most of them carried shock sticks, batons, swords, energy guns and pistols, and even whips. They circled the lupine goddess slowly, seemingly unsure of which angle to attack the powerful creature. A deep growl came from Je'sheln as she shifted positions, placing herself protectively over her host's collapsed body. Only then, did a new form drop from the sky. With white hair and a very distinguishable voice, the lupine recognized the form instantly.

"Zeta?" Je'sheln narrowed her blazing golden eyes, shifting slightly to place her form between the Tuffle and her host. "What are you doing here?" The lupine allowed her claws to slide out from her pads slightly as she gripped the pavement tightly. "You aren't involved in this attack, are you?" she growled suspiciously. But as the Tuffle launched herself into combat to thwart the Avalonian officers, Je'sheln had to reluctantly throw that possibility out the window. Now that she wasn't facing so many warriors at once, the goddess could get a better look at the white-haired men. The Avalonians were dressed in royal garb, suggesting that they were actual officers of the Avalonian Council. But what would the officials want with a child who had never stepped foot on their home planet? it was a mystery, for sure.

With Zeta's help, the Avalonians were soon broken and bleeding. Most retreated, though Je'sheln noted that many lay dead or grievously wounded by the Tuffle's hand. Shaking her head softly, the goddess of light stepped forward, healing the ones who were still alive to the point where they could join their comrades.

"You really need to work on restraint, you know," Je'sheln commented dryly, glancing purposefully at the dead soldiers shewn about. "The Avalonian council won't take kindly to these deaths." She sighed, then padded over to her host, nudging the child's shoulder with her muzzle while flooding the girl's tiny body with a soothing light to make the Vessel stir.

Her amethyst eyes blinked open almost instantly and the Rasaginian hybrid struggled to a sitting position. To Je'sheln, it was obvious that the Avalonians had powered their weapons with a massive amount of voltage. The child looked woozy and lost.

"Je'sheln?" Her words were slurred as if her tongue was still immobilized from the powerful electrical shock. "What happened?"

"You seemed to attract the attention of the locals here," Je'sheln replied simply, lending her shoulder to hoist Maragai to her feet. Only then, did the Host of Light notice Zeta. Her eyes widened.

"Zeta?" she asked, sounding shocked. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here?" The belle surprisingly replied in response to the Vessel's unexpected remark. Stepping forward to be more near the guardian Je'Sheln, Zeta playfully continued. "Saving your cute little monkey butt apparently." She concluded teasingly, gently placing her hand softly upon the silky mantle of the snowy haired canine. Obviously ignoring the subtle snide remark of Miss Mara's oversized protector, the pale skin denizen simply smiled.

Pausing for a few moments to bask in the unexpected glory of their reunion, the iron maiden soon motioned for the party to make haste and take flight. "Come on." Zeta subtly said, swiftly ascending into the sky. "There will be plenty of time to catch up later, kiddies. But we've got to get out of here before those boy scouts come back."Laughing to herself in the midst of her ascent the belle quickly turned back towards her companions. Emulating an iconic quote she had one heard during her time in cryogenic stasis Zeta playfully began to speak. "The Protectorate are easily frightened, but they will be back and in greater numbers." Lost in a fit of childish laughter by time her little monologue concluded, the Cajun Queen descent turned her attention to Je'Sheln.

"What in God's name was that about?" She called out across the telepathic pipeline. Still quite connected to the legendary titan herself, the maiden demanded an answer. "You've gotten complete access to my days matrix, my personality profile, and historical recollection, you've seen all that I am! You have some nerve. For all of your wisdom y'all is clueless. Stupid mutt. Do you even care about Maragai? Do you even care what it may have done to her if she had heard your smart ass remark? I mean, does it even matter, or is she nothing more than a faceless Vessel to you?.. Ugh! You make me madder than a coon stuck up in one a dem bee hives or something."

Cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter the unlikely trio quickly drew more near to the maiden's cloaked craft. "Stay close!" She cried cautiously into the wind. "The Horizon is programmed to release a a wave of EMP waves if anyone without authorization crosses into the Red Zone."

Calling out once more across the telepathic plane Zeta extended her mind outward towards the Guardian of Light. "That means you too, Sweetheart. Those pulses can off set a heart beat, mechanical devices, and yes even spiritual energy as well."

Landing safely upon the retractable rear hangar door, the band of unlikely travelers casually ventured inward. Passing by the newly added Tesla coils mounted at the mouth of the Bay doors the belle quickly bounded around the corner. "Come on." She said anxiously. "There's shrine else here that will be wanting to see you too."

Maragai found herself glancing first at Zeta, then at Je'sheln. The goddess' gaze was carefully neutral, yet Maragai could see that the lupine's body was tense as she looked at the Tuffle. For some reason, the child couldn't shake the sense that something had happened while she was out cold. But as Zeta suddenly took off, she had to push the thought to the back of her mind.

With a soft sigh, Je'sheln allowed her paws to leave the ground as she followed her host. She glanced once back, looking sorrowfully at the lost souls left behind. Inwardly, the goddess of light could only hope that there were no recording devices in the vicinity or on the Avalonians' corpses. Tork'thal had enough on his plate keeping peace with between the Conclave of Elements and the other powers of the universe without having to explain the death of Avalonian officials. It was then, when Zeta suddenly hailed to her through telepathic methods.

For a moment, the lupine was shocked by the words that the Tuffle had chosen. Was she really this near-sighted? A soft growl left Je'sheln's throat, too soft for Maragai to hear over the whipping wind from their flight.

I've done quite well in hiding your little bouts of blood lust from Maragai so far. Je'sheln answered coldly, narrowing her golden eyes. As for the deaths, they aren't just something to brush away! Don't you know anything about politics? Our Vessels can go where they please because we keep our alliances up with most of the universe's civilizations! We have to keep those allegiances up so we don't run into resistance when hunting down Voracious Eaters! If you're caught killing people on a whim when in our company, that puts out needless strains!

It was obvious that Je'sheln was furious. And perhaps, it was rightfully so. But she did her best to control her own fur and keep it flat so that her host would not sense the swiftly brewing argument between the goddess and Tuffle.

And don't ever test the relationship between Feral Deity and Vessel, Je'sheln finished. Even if she is not a full Vessel, eventually, we will be one deity when fused. It is my literal job to lay down my life for her.

"Je'sheln?" The goddess of light blinked and shook her head, snapping away the Tuffle's telepathic link so she could devote her attention towards her Saiyan host. The girl looked a bit uncertain, her amethyst eyes flickering from Je'sheln to Zeta, then back again. Her next words came silently. Why are you two glaring at each other?

Again, Je'sheln sighed. Of course she couldn't hide her emotion from Maragai. The child's senses were second to none. It's nothing, dear. Don't worry about it. Keep your senses on what's in front of us. We don't want to run into any trouble.

Maragai opened her mouth as if she were going to argue, but after seeing the look in Je'sheln's eyes, she obviously thought better of it. Nodding, she looked in front of her one more.

And what exactly are we doing here? Maragai answered the Tuffle as she looked down as Zeta fell from the sky. Cutting off her own Ki flow and rapidly extinguishing her energy until she was fully suppressed, the child of light dropped from her flight and landed lightly behind Zeta. A soft thud announced Je'sheln's landing; the goddess was quite heavy due to her large size. But as soon as she landed, her presense extinguished completely; her white form vanished back through the gateway hanging around Maragai's neck. If stealth was the name of the game, it was best that a ten-foot tall wolf stay in Eden's realm.

"What are we doing here?" Zeta curiously repeated with a childish smirk plastered prevalently upon her face. "Always right to business aren't you, little lady." Shaking her head slowly from side to side the Tuffle teen could not help but to laugh. "I swoop in to save your tiny tush from certain violation, and I'm the one with alterior motives? Pft. I think next time I think I'll let them tie you up. Oooh and maybe then I'll be the one who has her way with you ha ha."

Purposefully intending to embarrass the Vessel and prey upon the young Rasaginian's maturing yearnings for both physical and inner most intimate expression, exhibiting an alluring or even exasperating display of sensual eroticism may be just the thing to do the trick. But alas, it would be a lie had the little harlet not pondered often of such seductive exploration with the blossoming heiress as well. After all, it would be inhumane to deny herself of such basic and primal wants and desires. "I mean... it's not like I wasn't alive once before, right?.."

Shaking her head slightly in a subtle silly shudder the belle quickly glanced away from the innocent adolescent stare of the armored mistress of light. "Get a hold of yourself. You can't be thinking about that kind of stuff right now. You need to stay focused."

"You're right, Mara." Zeta hesitantly said a loud. Stumbling through her words as she knew the delicate nature of that in which she had sought to ask of her unlikely companion. "It's just that... I want... no, I need you... i mean I need your help." Scratching small circles onto the cool steel floor beneath her feet the tyrannical tot continued to mumble incoherently beneath her breath. Taking a brief deep sigh toinstill a bode of momentary confidence the mechanical maiden softly continued. "I... I think it will just be easier to show you instead of trying to explain."

"A foolish folly at best. An android with an emotionally distraught persona directed towards an avatar of a sworn enemy of her people; unheard of. But why not simply turn off the emotional function program running through her inner matrix? Cold, emotionless, the perfect killing machine. So why? Why hold so fast to the simple ideals of the living? Could there be something... someone... worth living for?" Thinking to herself silently as the star crossed pair stood in solace, the silver haired synthetic inadvertently extended her arm outward towards the Vessel in an openly welcoming invitation inward.

The child's question was answered with teasing, causing Maragai to back up with a flush rapidly crossing her face. There was no escape, though; a wall met Maragai's back. Swiftly, she glanced at Je'sheln, only to see that the goddess had vanished. She reached over to touch her own arm in an act of comfort.

"I really don't know why those Avalonians came after me," she admitted, her amethyst eyes puzzled. "I was just exploring the city when they came out of nowhere. I didn't even have my energy raised." She watched with careful eyes as Zeta lead the way, turning her attention to every grind of a gear and pump of a piston. What was this place? Some sort of factory?

Computer screens cast a dull blue hue in the room. The only sounds that could be heard was the sound of Maragai's soft breathing, the dull sound of the nearby machines, and the child's light footfall. Despite being near Zeta, the Vessel of Light couldn't help but feel a bit nervous at the gloomy scene. Finally, she addressed the Tuffle with a soft whisper.

"What is this place?"

"Alexstrasza!" As Je'sheln entered Eden's Realm, she hailed the humanoid goddess who stood in the center of the beautiful garden that adorned the small planet. The lupine dipped her head respectfully as she neared the stronger deity.

"What is it, Je'sheln?" For hosting such massive power and a high status, the flame-haired goddess had a soft and gentle voice. Her emerald gaze was questioning as she turned to address the goddess of light. "Something the matter?"

"You saw what happened to Maragai on Avalon, right?" Je'sheln narrowed her eyes. "Avalonian officials-"

"Attacked her," Alexstrasza finished, frowning. "Yes, I watched it happen. But I'm not sure what it means. We've kept a close bond with their kingdom. It doesn't make sense that they would turn on a Vessel like that."

Je'sheln sighed. "Perhaps they did not recognize her," she said. But her voice was bleak; the lupine already knew that was an impossible notion.

Alexstrasza shook her head. "That's impossible. All Vessels have their gateways, full Vessels or not. To the right person, they're easily recognizable."

Smiling sincerely in response to the young Rasaginian's innocent inquiry the silver haired synthetic could not help but to cave. "This place..." she said softly as they continued to peacefully meander through the shadowy ship corridor. "This place is the last of known piece of Tuffle technology this side of the North Quadrant. I guess you could say it's a little piece of home. According to the ship's log it's one of three ship's that was able to flee planet Plant before we were over run."

Lightly placing her hand delicately upon the cool alloy wall to her right Zeta sadly turned her gaze from her companion. Diverting her eyes from the Vessel, the belle regrettably sighed. "Maragai..." she whispered with sorrow. "Will you help me with something? I just... I don't quite know how to ask."Uncertain as if the expression portrayed was that of embarrassment or perhaps even shame, the iron maiden could not bring herself to even lift her head. Hesitant still as to the manner in which she should approach the question and even more so to if she should even ask at all, the timid Tuffle teen uncharacteristically began to mumble beneath her breath.

Reaching out once more to the Guardian Goddess Je'Sheln across the astral plane the busty young belle delicately beckoned the spirit of flame. "Je'Sheln." Zeta humbly spoke within her mind. "Please, I know you can hear me. With all that I am and all things humane that still dwell within my being I ask that you hear my words." Understanding full well that after their previous exchange only moments prior, hearing her voice echoing in the darkness would likely be the last and least welcomingsound in the Goddess' s restful state. "We have not always agreed or even always come close to a clear compromise in our ways and dealings in the world but I swear that this is something I can not fix without Maragai's help... I know that she would say yes if I asked her myself, but... I can't. I just can't."

Sounding more like an apprehensive adolescent addressing a parent for the very first time rather than the mischievous machine that the Spirit had come to know, Zeta nearly down to tears. "I have committed more than my fair share of atrocities through this life and the last, and some day I will have to answer for them, but I am begging for your help. I need the power of a pure heart to bring back my sister. I need her to come back to me if we are to have any hope to prevent the Awakening.""Awakening?" Je'Sheln repeated smugly. "You have quite some nerve even addressing me, much less asking me for anything. And I will not have Maragai used as some pawn for what ever childish game you've decided to play."

"This isn't a game!" The android cried angrily in furious revolt. "A war is coming god dammit! Not you, not Tork'thal, not any other of your other little band of fairy tale guardians have the power to stop it! You think the Vora are bad? Those inferior bugs are just the beginning. Ra'shaln had already released the beast upon the universe; you're just too blind to see it. Now I need their power of the Vessel!"

Foregoing a less conventional method than originally planned, the busty belle snapped her head sharply upright. Biting down suggestivelyupon the corner of her bottom lip Zeta aggressively stepped forward. Slapping both of her palms firmly against the wall on either side of Maragai's shoulders the mechanical misfit thrusted her chest towards the bust of the blushing teen.

"Please..." the Tuffle quietly teased. Slowly inhaling the blossoming essence radiating out from within her prey, the android adolescent delicately grazed her right cheek ever so slightly against the young Rasaginian's left temple. "Your innocence... is intoxicating..."

Sliding her hands discreetly downward behind the neck of the trembling flame haze, Zeta gingerly tapped the warming spherical tip of her red crystal into the small supple area at the base of Maragai's back. "I can't... no... I won't unless you say yes..." She whispered seductively intothe Vessel's ear. "Would you... could you let me sample your essence?"

The last piece of Tuffle technology? On Avalon? Had planet Plant been under the protection of the Protectorate at one point? The child's amethyst eyes traveled to some ancient writing on a nearby cracked column of stone. Perhaps... It would certainly explain the tensions between Avalon and the Saiyan Empire. Still...

"You... need help?" Something was wrong. Zeta looked as if she were about to break. Her entire body seemed tense. Instinctively, the child stepped forward, extending an arm. However, the Tuffle appealed to Je'sheln. Narrowing her eyes, Maragai looked at the gateway resting against her chest. When the lupine paused before answering, the Host of Light knew that something had gone horribly wrong between the goddess and Tuffle.

There was a distaste and anger in her voice that Maragai had never heard before. It was uncharacteristic, for sure; for a moment, the child just stared at the crimson gem in shock.

"-And I will not have Maragai used as some pawn for what ever childish game you've decided to play." The wolf's voice was as cold as the bitterest winter. It left Maragai rooted to the ground.

"H-hey!" Maragai admonished the lupine with a shocked voice. "Don't I get a say so in what I do in this? I can-"

"No!" Je'sheln's voice was sharp. "We have more important things to do than-"

Maragai didn't let the goddess finish her sentence. "And what if it was my sister who needed help?" Maragai demanded of the lupine. "Would you be so quick to abandon her as well?"

"I-"

"I don't know what happened between you two," Maragai continued, sounding a bit saddened. "But I'm not going to turn my back on somebody who needs help. Can't you understand that?"

"..." For a moment, Je'sheln remained silent. Finally, a soft sigh came from the depths of the gateway from Eden's Ream. "Very well. If this is what you want, I won't deny you. It's just my job to put your life above others."

Maragai's gaze softened. "I know. Thanks, Je'sheln." She looked up in a start of surprise as Zeta approached her, pressing her larger body against her's Caught between the wall and the Tuffle's chest, Maragai felt her breath and heartbeat quicken. Zeta's hand slowly touched the back of her neck, causing the Vessel to shudder softly from the touch.

"Help you?" Maragai said, reaching behind her with a blush crossing her face. She took Zeta's hand into her own allowing her amethyst aura to wrap around both of their bodies. The ground began to quake slightly, causing the building to groan softly before settling with the sudden burst of Ki that the child gave off. "Of course I'll help you."

"Of course I'll help you..." Maragai said softly as her beautifully luminous amethyst aura gently blanketed the two celestial denizens as they stood motionless within their sensual embarrass. With the Vessel's tiny hand nestled safely within her own, the silver hair synthetic gratuitously smiled ahead. "This won't hurt a bit." Zeta said sincerely. Delicately pressing the teen's quivering palm against the wall the busty belle subtly began.

Summoning forth a steady flow of pulsating essence from within the body of the blossoming Rasaginian's heiress, the pale mechanical vixen sternly pulled her gracious host inward at the waist. Providing an intensely provocative pulse of electrical impulses and tantalizing vibrations from her silken skinned frame, Zeta elegantly placed her thigh purposely against Maragai's innermost upper thigh.

"Just relax..." she whispered seductively into the ear of the willing warrior. "Think of it as you would slipping into a warm bath. Your body may begin to feel weak... Your knees will begin to buckle..." Nibbling lovingly upon the lower lobe of the teen's ear the devilish succubus lightly teased with her tongue. Moaning with desire in response to the surging sensation of amethyst energy coursing through her veins, the belle instinctively arched her head back. Pulling the Rasaginian's raven hair downward suddenly, Zeta bit down upon the exposed neck of her prey.

Instantly thrusting the teen titans into the mysterious realm of the Tuffle's inner matrix, the pair of unsuspecting travelers awoke in an unfamiliar setting. Standing together whilststill locked within a tender embrace, the mistress of metal suddenly gasped. "What?!" She said surprisingly. Gently pushing back from her host the belle quickly spoke aloud. "Mother." She said, directly addressing her main operating system. "What happened? Where are we?" Perhaps an unfortunate side effect of ingesting the Vessel's pure untainted light energy, a previously restricted scenerio of possible days to come had began to play out before their very eyes.

"Mother!" The belle cried out unhappily. "Shut the simulation down! We've already changed the course of history. We don't even know that this is even a possible future any more. Mother!"

Laughing sinisterly from a distance greatly beyond the reach of the stars and the sky, an insidious cacklebellowed menacingly from the deep. "We're sorry, dear. But Mother can't come to the phone right now. Please leave a message after the scream." Nearly hysterical in its rant, the voice teasingly continued to taunt.

"Kisa!" Zeta screamed. "What have you done?! And where is Mother?"

"Hehe oh so serious, Z." The fiery spirited teen arrogantly teased.

"You little brat! When I get out of here..."

"If. If you ever get out of there." A second voice ever so rudely interjected. "You know just as well as we do how this all ends. Even if you do have your little girlfriend with you this time you won't be able to get out of this town alive."

"Damn you, Talia." The belle gruntedback in defiance. "Kisa, now Talia. What the Hell is going on?!" Far beyond even the comprehension of even the teen Tuffle's highly advanced Intela-Corp processor, the mistress of metal could offer no insight into the strange events quickly unfolding around them. Still, something had to be said. Turning to Maragai, Zeta desperately began to speak.

"You need to listen to me." She said fearfully. "We are in a small town about nine miles south west of South City..."

Her energy was being drained. A lot quicker than the Saiyan hybrid had thought it would have. Like a ravenous animal, Zeta seemed to lap at the Vessel's energy as if she were starving. Though the massive amount of energy leaving her body was uncomfortable, it wasn't unbearable. After all, Maragai was used to keeping her energy suppressed most hours of the day. The weak feeling she was beginning to feel was nothing different than every day life.

Still, pressed up against the wall, the Vessel of Light could hardly escape from the Tuffle's tight embrace. It was intoxicating and almost to the point of overbearing. Even so, Maragai found herself staring deeply into Zeta's eyes; her own amethyst eyes seemed to glimmer in the dim light of the machinery lab they stood in.

Zeta was right about one thing: her knees felt as if they were giving to the child's weight. But it wasn't because of the energy transfer. No, it was because of Zeta's sudden attack on her ear and neck. A sharp gasp escaped Maragai's lips and she could feel her gateway pulse slightly; Je'sheln was not too happy about the exchange, yet she stayed silent. Though the Vessel of Light only screwed her eyes shut for a moment, there was a sudden shift in the existence that surrounded her.

Akin to the shift from the waking realm into the Astral realm, the sudden sensation of shifting matter and altered mind, the girl's surroundings were plunged into the depths of darkness. A chill bit her skin, causing Maragai to shiver almost instantly. The floor had left, leaving her floating in an abyss. Still, she did not have to support her lithe body with Ki. Such was a good thing; the Vessel hardly had any energy left to spare.

For a fleeting moment, things continued to spiral. Eventually, however, the new realm settled and Maragai hesitantly opened her eyes, a bit fearful of the sight that would greet her. When her amethyst eyes showed, the child could only look around in wonder. Zeta was the first to move, pushing away from Maragai and leaving the child to stagger slightly as she found her balance. A soft pant escaped her lips. Just how much energy had she given? The Vessel felt as dry as the desert.

Two different voices hailed out, foreign to Maragai, speaking harshly and with arrogance. She opened her mouth to address them, but the Tuffle cut in first. Maragai glanced at the white-haired woman in surprise. She actually knew these people?

Eventually, Zeta turned to her. "What's going on here?" Maragai asked, struggling to keep her breath steady while speaking. Her entire body felt like it weighed a ton. "Who were those people?" She glanced down at her gateway, instinctively checking in on Je'sheln for guidance. However, the revelation was clear. Wherever the two warriors resided, it was much like the Astral Realm. Je'sheln held no power here. The usually vibrant and glowing crimson gem was ow dead and lifeless - a cold black stone resting against her chest.

"Well," Maragai mused out loud. "That's not helpful." She glanced up, her eyes a bit dull with the overexertion of energy. "So what do we do now?"

"Now, you need to rest." The android amicably replied.

"But..."

"But nothing." Zeta quickly interjected. Swiftly placing her lacy gloved hand ever so delicately against the Vessel's supple pink lips the mischievous young maiden of metal teasingly blew a gentle wisp of air into the teen's face. "Shhhh..." She said softly. Shaking her head slowly as a playful clicking sound softly resonated outward from behind her teeth, the silver hair synthetic gazed deeply into the eyes of her host. "There will be plenty of time for action, my dear. But until you regain your strength you will only be in the way."

"But..."

Passionately pulling the denizen of Light inward into her arms, the belleteasingly wrapped her arms tenderly around Maragai's waist. Hovering but a hairs length away from each one's lips, the two rambunctious teens stood motionless; frozen in time. "Mara..." Z whispered seductively. "Do you trust me?"

Trying to anticipate the heiress's reaction to her every advance, the pale puppet of frost gently nestled her nose lightly against the cheek of the trembling princess. Manipulating the maiden's gaze outward over the valley, the two unlikely companions slowly turned their attention towards the nearby bustling metropolis below. "There..." the belle said subtly. "Look... thousands upon thousands of unsuspecting citizens. Men... women... children... they're all going to fall at the hands of the androids. . They'll be completely defenseless once the twins appear. Cold and terrifying, they're completelyruthless.

Ra'shaln had already let his Vora clear the way of most of the world's inhabitants by this point. Kisa and Talia were just the clean up crew..."

Holding the heiress tightly to her chest the busty belle closed her eyes tightly in preparation for what was to come. "...look away, Mara..." She whispered desperately.

It was in that moment that an incredible plume of energy violently erupted into the sky.

"Oh!" Maragai cried out in awe.

Whispering an encrypted sequence of sounds lovingly into the ear of the young Rasaginian, the Tuffle teen abruptly pushed the Vessel from her embarrass. Turning the lass swiftly to the side, Zeta sharply swung hergloved fist into the back of Maragai's head. Dropping the unsuspecting princess limply to the ground, the sorrowful synthetic sadly said her goodbyes. "Forgive me, kid... Je'sheln would kill me if I let anything happen to you..." Smiling peacefully as she took to the air, the sassy synthetic playfully grinned. "Stupid dog hehe."

Taking off briskly for the epicenter of the explosion the belle quickly vanished into the smoldering city district.

"H-hey!" Though Maragai extended her arm to stop the Tuffle from rocketing off towards the explosion, the white-haired warrior had already departed. However, at that point, it really didn't matter much. The blow from Zeta's hand had swiftly caught up to her tiny body, both dulling her senses and bringing the black, cold flame of darkness to her vision as she fell to the ground.

How much time had passed? Minutes? Seconds? Hours? The vessel of light wasn't sure when she woke and brought herself up onto unsteady feet. Zeta was gone, no surprise there. Maragai almost stumbled; she had to grab onto the nearby vent to stabilize herself to avoid falling on her face. Why did her body feel so heavy? She attempted to lift off from the rooftop only to fall back down with a thud. Right. She was out of energy. She could feel the dwindling supplies in her reserves; she was running on fumes - if that. Still, she was part Rasaginian! Surely her energy would recharge faster than that!

Groaning slightly, the Vessel of light stumbled forward a couple of steps, struggling to grasp the current situation at hand. Another explosion rocked the horizon, then another. The entire planet seemed to quake at the destructive blasts, even if it was nothing more than a mirage. She couldn't sense anything, but that was expected. The child had already figured out that the two voices had belonged to Tuffles. Zeta seemed to know them, after all.

I need energy! The silent plea was met, surprisingly. Though the gateway hanging around her neck remained cold and lifeless, a warm golden aura briefly wrapped around her body. Though the touch was brief, the child felt a bit of energy touch her weary bones. It wasn't much, but she could at least fly. Je'sheln? Maragai paused to hail the goddess of light, but was met with silence. Still, she knew that somewhere. Somehow. The goddess had bestowed some amount of strength into her body. Now, it was a matter of putting it to use.

After a moment of gathering her strength and listening to another pair of explosions that echoed dully against the horizon, Maragai allowed a cushion of Ki to propel her towards the source. Though it took a moment through unsteady flight, Maragai made it to the source. Deep into the city, two lithe forms battled heavily against Zeta. Though the white haired Tuffle was putting up a good fight, it was painfully obvious that she was outclassed by the two powerhouses teaming up on her.

Maragai gritted her teeth, bringing the small amount of energy she had to bear. A weak orb of ki radiated in her open palm, flickering as if it were ready to go out at moment's notice. Still, the Vessel of Light lobbed the sphere as hard as she could, watching closely as the explosive charge arched through the night sky. The amethyst payload slammed into one of the attacker's shoulder - a blonde female. The explosion was weak, yet it was enough to knock the woman off balance. Almost instantly, the child felt two pair of eyes snap to her location. Maragai clenched her fist and brought up a guard, yet no attack was made. Instead, the ebony haired female smirked.

"Well, well, well," she said in a condescending voice. "It looks like we have a lost stray here." Maragai glanced up briefly. Clouds had covered the sky completely. The only light given was from the occasional clap of lightning that traveled through the clouds, illuminating the immediate area with a flash of azure hue. Thunder rumbled violently. A storm seemed to be brewing.

"Oh no..." the snowy haired synthetic grunted laboriously as her tiny mechanical frame stumbled forward weakly. Beaten and battered to the point of absolute exhaustion Zeta, dizzy from the intense amount of energy that had been expended, fell to a single knee. "Maragai, you idiot." The maiden thought incoherently within her mind. "...why couldn't you just stay away? These two are going to kill you."

"Get out of here, twerp!" Zeta suddenly cried out angrily towards the weary warrior. "This isn't some spectator sport." Holding her hand tightly against her chest the young android adolescent desperately pleaded. "Come on, you ugly mechanized bastards." She exclaimed once more. "I'm not done with you yet!"

Laughing playfully in response tothe starry eyed maiden's empty proclamation, the pair arrogantly cackled to one another. "It looks like Ol Yeller still has some spunk to her." Kisa teased, flipping her silky blonde bangs to the side.

"Tell you what... let's play a little game. Since there are two of us and two of them, first one to get a kill wins."

"Hey!" Talia smugly interjected. "That's not fair, K. If we kill Zeta then we won't have anyone left to play with. The Vora have already broken the rest of the toys around here, and we're running out of things to blow up."

With an unenthusiastic sigh Kisa foolishly rolled her eyes. "Fine." She said, suggestively motioning towards the smallest of the warrior bunch. "Then let's just off the brat.""What?!" The belle angrily exclaimed. Rushing towards the closest of the androids, Zeta furiously took aim. Clenching her fist tightly above her head the snowy haired synthetic exploded into a fit of rage.

"Uhh uh ahh" Talia arrogantly huffed. "Not while the adults are talking." Effortlessly weaving around the hooking strike of her former commanding officer, the raven haired harlet leapt inward towards her foe. Driving an insidious knee deeply into the stomach of her attacker, the pale Tuffle teen fell violently to the ground. "You've really gotten soft over the years, kid." The dervish Rooski laughed. Viciously kicking the downed droid fiercely in the side of her ribs.

"Kisa, darling." Talia sarcastically remarked. "Be a doll would you and finish off the little one. Little missy here is being rude and doesn't want to wait her turn."

Smiling devilishly the crimson haired harlet suggestively smirked. "With pleasure..."

Dashing towards Maragai without warning, Kisa launched herself forward with an incredible burst of speed. Sending a tremendous amount of rubble up into the air as her metallic boot lifted from the ground, the iron maiden locked onto her prey.

"No!" The Tuffle teen cried out in defiance as she desperately threw her arm forward. Firing an electrical web of barbed threads outward from her extended palm, Zeta snared the aggressive assailant dead in her tracks. "Maragai, ru......"

Careening through her chest abruptly like a warm blade through butter, the android assassin Talia savagely thrusted her ridged hand into the brittle body of her prey. Viciously pulling down upon the snowy hair of the belle as her opposite arm continued to tear through the metallic shrapnel of the maiden's torso, the sounds of insane childish laughter quickly began to fill the air.

"Aww, seriously Tallie?" The flaming haired assassin sarcastically groaned. "See. Thus is what I was talking about. We just can't have nice things. We finally find something durable to play with, and you go putting holes in it right away." Rolling her eyes playfully in response to the misfit's devilish remark, the second sister arrogantly replied aloud. "Uh oh. Looks like we're gonna need another Tuffle haha ha!"

"Get out of here, twerp!" Zeta's scream rang out loudly through the ruined city. Maragai balled her hands into fists and gritted her teeth, glaring mutinously at the two androids before her. She couldn't sense their energy at all; there was no way to figure out their strength. She took a step forward.

"I'm... not leaving... you here..." The child's voice was ragged as she continued to fight for air. Her chest heaved in protest. "I... can handle... this..." Maybe it was the Saiyan part of her talking, but she wasn't about to sit by and watch these two have their way with Zeta. Even if Maragai was weakened as she was. "No!" As Zeta tried to draw the two androids' attention, Maragai tried to bring up an aura. Though the air stirred, her Ki would not come to bear. Even so, the Saiyan child threw her own challenge. "You're facing me!"

The air beside the child rustled as Zeta threw herself forward. Almost immediately, Talia met the Tuffle's attack, easily overpowering her and bringing her down to the ground once more. The white-haired woman hit hard, sending out a small puff of dirt as she did so.

"No!" Maragai's voice was shrill. "Get away from her!" Blood seemed to roar in her ears as she launched herself towards Zeta's attacker, stumbling as she tried to bring up some sort of offense. It seemed to be a doomed effort; it was the other android who flickered into existence before the child. A small and condescending smirk spread across her lips as she the child swiftly brought her tiny arm up to guard against the incoming attack. In Maragai's weak state, the sheer power of Kisa's blow was enough to rock Maragai's world. With a yell of surprise, the Vessel of Light was launched away like a rag doll. She didn't fly far, her tiny body bouncing against the ground and through a solid concrete wall.

The entire worlds around her seemed to spin uncontrollably as the Vessel of Light attempted to right herself and find her bearings. Tile was beneath her. She grunted as she carved a path though some wooden desk. She only stopped after, her back putting a sizable dent in a thick metal vault. Groaning, she slid down to the ground, wincing as the warm trickle of blood ran down the side of her face. She was in a bank, it seemed. The front entrance was now permanently open, thanks to Kisa's previous attack.

"Ah!" She started as a yellow bolt of Ki suddenly soared into the bank, homed on the child like a heat seeking missile. Pulling herself out of the pile of broken concrete and wood, the child was able to stand up in time to deflect the blast; it carved a path through the side of the building, exploding brilliantly against a house several streets down.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are!" The sing-song and mocking voice of Kisa rang out as the android came into view. She stood at the entrance, placing a hand on her hip as she grinned devilishly at the lone child.
