"Please, sir! Don't do this! I have a wife! I have kids! Please!" The man on his knees was in tears as he gazed up at a hooded figure clad in ebony armor. From the depths of the darkness that shadowed the person's face, two crimson gems glowed brightly. "Please!" The man's voice was a howl. "You are here for an example, and nothing more, peon," came the deep voice of the man's assailant. "Know that your death will serve as a warning to those who dare to stand against my reign." With those words spoken, the hooded man nodded. It was not to the helpless human before him, but a creature who stood at his right - an alien who possessed magic that rivaled that of Alexstrasza herself. With a chuckle, the wizard stepped forward, raising a hand that glowed with purple runes. "Sorry, buddy," he said in a broken accent that was not from Earth. "But orders are orders. I'm sure you understand." In the dark room, only the tiny red light from a recording camera bore witness to the hideous execution that took place shortly after. "This is GNN, your universal news station to let you know what's going on on the planet you are on. My name is Serena Gomez, and I will be your host today. We are live here on Earth today. Bill, what's going on?" The camera panned over to an older gentleman who seemed to be in his sixties, if not seventies. "Thanks, Serena." The elder nodded at his younger partner before fixing his gaze on the camera before him. "Well, there is still nothing to be heard from New Oceania. The Protectorate still claims that everything is under control despite the sudden embargo on trade to the coastal city. According to our reports, the local militia there have not checked into their respective headquarters for over a month. Citizens are advised to stay away from New Oceania until further notice." "That's terrible." The camera zoomed out, showing both hosts. Serena was shaking her head slowly. "I hope everything is under control." Bill straightened his tie. "That's all we can do is hope." For a moment, the two hosts were silent. Then, bill looked to his right. "Sarah, how's the weather for Earth looking today?" "Well Bill, this morning will be partly cloudy until early afternoon. After that, there's about a ninety percent chance for heavy thunderstorms. East City should be on-" Maragai raised her arm, clicking the button on the remote control to turn off the screen before her. Gears turned in her mind as she churned over the thoughts. You aren't going out there. Je'sheln's voice in her mind startled the child. I never said I was. No. But you were thinking it. Do I need to remind you that we've only just merged? You may feel fine now, but it won't take long for us to actually start the hard part of merging. You need to stay inside for this. There's no sense in trying to fight or do whatever you're planing. Maragai remained silent, poking at the cereal she was eating with a spoon. She knew Je'sheln was right, of course. But the real question was: would she heed the goddess' words? 543/543 |

Earth… a planet he had never expected to return to and yet here he was. The last time he had visited this nostalgic planet was when the Steel Legion had run amok in the galaxy. When had he been there before that? In truth he did his best to not think about that. The sound of the pod’s hatch opening and the interior pressure shifting to match the exterior brought his focus back on the present. Once he had taken his seat the Dark Prince casually tapped a series of buttons. Before he was able to fully prepare for his departure a young Saiyan had cleared her throat. “Be quick I am about to leave,” he muttered. She offered a quick nod despite the fact that Vegeta could not have possibly seen her. “My Prince, we have finished monitoring local communications. There are various disturbances around the planet. The most notable was,” she said as she cycled through the information displayed upon the lens of her scouter. “Some place they call New Oceania. We took the initiative and located the city and added it into the sitrep,” she went on to say. The Dark Prince only offered a slight grunt as he continued to work. The young Saiyan took this as her queue to leave and promptly bowed then left Vegeta alone to his thoughts. As his finger touched the final button in the launch sequence the hatch closed. His ears popped slightly as the interior pressure stabilized. The small unremarkable space pod was jettisoned so that it would free fall into the atmosphere. Regardless of the make or model all space pods were designed to withstand the strain that came with entering an atmosphere and plummeting to the surface. This particular pod however was modified slightly per the Dark Prince’s requests. A series of short bursts of energy erupted all along the sides of the pod as he corrected his point of entry in order to control where his point of impact would be. Once Vegeta was content with the settings he simply crossed his arms over his chest and waited. The violent jolt that rocked through the spherical space craft indicated that his descent had begun. Memories flashed through his conscious mind as he closed his eyes as if to rest. Memories from when he was still in his early teens and his first encounter with those from Earth. He distinctly remembered his encounter with one particular human who, despite his best interests, he had grown unusually fond of. He had even sired a child with her. However, he only discovered that much later. From planet side those who happened to look up would see a point of what appeared to be fire as it started to descend into the atmosphere. Due to the defense of Earth during the galactic war the sight had been all too common. However, this was the first official visit from the Saiyan Empire since then. One that could either bode well or ill for the denizens of this chunk of rock. Vegeta’s eyes shot open as he felt the pod slam into the ground. The force of the impact traversed the length of his body... a feeling Saiyans became familiar with at a very young age. The pod’s hatch had been programmed to open automatically after impact which caused rays of dim light to brighten the pod’s interior. The Dark Prince could hear voices of those who had gathered outside of his pod. His scowl was clear indication that he seriously did not want to deal with anything so soon after his landing. Once the hatch had fully opened the Dark Prince leisurely stepped out and stood up to his full height. The walls of dirt that surrounded him on all sides did not come as a surprise. The soft dirt gathered around his feet slowly started to part and move out and away from his body as if acted upon by some unseen force. As his body began to rise into the air the sounds of shocked locals drew his dark gaze. Power signatures were already appearing upon the translucent blue display of his scouter. None of those gathered posed any threat to him which came as somewhat of a disappointment. “There are still warriors on Earth yes,” the Dark Prince asked. None of those gathered answered as they nearly dispersed in random directions as Vegeta’s boots touched down at the edge of the crater. The realization that none of these humans would prove useful came all too swiftly. The Dark Prince offered another scowl and a low growl. If no appropriate greeting party had taken interest in his arrival he would just have to see what he could do to change that. With little concern of concealing his presence the Dark Prince’s power began to spike suddenly. Bystanders tripped over each other as a light blue aura of energy wreathed Vegeta’s body. The ground that had been stable only moments before now cracked and crumbled beneath his feet. The display was short lived as he allowed his power to subside and lower to its natural limits. His dark gaze surveyed his surroundings as he awaited the arrival of anyone that could prove to be worth his time. He was hardly concerned of what these humans did to each other so he had no immediate intention to intervene in this New Oceania incident.

Tarble took a sip from a box of juice casually as he laid back on the bed. Earth was a lot more peaceful than Vegeta in every sense of the word. Even the weather on this blue orb was calm and loving, waiting to envelop any peace-loving creature in its oceanic embrace. However, what puny human would ever even attempt at taking in a Saiyan like him? Well, it turned out that there was a man on this Earth that had experience with Saiyans. He could have easily been the most powerful human among the bunch: Muten Roshi, an old turtle hermit that owned his own island. Wanting to learn a few moves that were exclusive to Earth, he took up housing with the master while offering to help pay for the house's bills. It wasn't too hard for Tarble to make himself into a mercenary for this planet, considering he was loads more powerful than the average human. He was about to head into the Astral Realm for another well-deserved nap, but Roshi barged into Tarble's room with a worried look on his bearded face. "What's the trouble, Roshi-sensei? I thought we wrapped up my training for the Kamehameha Wave today." "It isn't that, Tarble. I just saw on the news that something evil is within New Oceania. After the embargo put onto the island, things have been getting very dark there. The militia was going to check things out, but I doubt they'll be able to handle it alone. I'd like you to go check it out." "Eh, sure. It'd be nice to see if someone interesting was on this planet, after all." He hasn't been able to find Chishan here yet, even though the Lightning Lord's power should be going through the roof. He paid it no mind as he walked down the stairs of the small house and headed out to the edge of the beach, kicking up clouds of sand as he flew high into the air. The young royal let off a bright smile as he began to fly through the blue skies of Earth. These conditions were a lot easier to maneuver in than Vegeta's skies, but that could also be due to the lack of crazy natural disasters in nearly every direction and a lowered intensity of gravity. Although, it was those components that allowed Tarble to get as strong as he was today, so he wasn't going to dare take the peace of this planet for granted. Hopefully New Oceania was going to harbor something that would entertain him while he hunted for Chishan. However, something else caught his attention very quickly. The power of another warrior began to skyrocket, almost taking the very color out of Tarble's face as he felt it. This kind of power was nearly ten times his own, and quite possibly even more than that! He couldn't hope to go near such a power except for a lingering fact in the back of his mind. This could be Walid, Lysses, Roland, or even Chishan. He couldn't ignore such a presence after it made itself known to just about every warrior on this planet. This creature wanted him to come to it, and he would follow the implied orders without hesitation. Tarble let his white aura erupt, moving at full speed to try and lock eyes with whatever possessed that kind of power. As he got closer, he could feel out the density of the energy that longed for him to come. It was not one of purity, like Chishan possessed. No, this energy was dark and thick, like anyone not in their right mind could be crushed underneath the very pressure of this person's presence. He almost wanted to turn back, but his aura already made his presence known to whoever the possessor of this energy was. There would be no point in hiding this late in the game. He rushed forward with one last burst of energy, speeding him up to the point that he reached his target within a few seconds. Who he met eyes with, however, was someone he wouldn't have expected in a lifetime. It was his brother, and the rightful heir to the Saiyan throne, Vegeta. Tarble hadn't seen him in action since the beginning of the war when he left to go gather up the Dragonballs. He was planning on gunning for the throne himself if Vegeta stayed absent for much longer, but now he was back and looking to be even stronger than ever. He was totally outclassed in every way, shape, and form by his sibling, and he couldn't do anything but watch the ascent of his brother. "Brother.. I can't believe you're here on Earth." He was admittedly a little dumbstruck that his brother was on such a peaceful planet on his own. Did he have business here as well? Tarble was aware that Chishan was also a very popular Saiyan that was able to put Vegeta down at one point, but with the power he felt from his brother now, he didn't feel confident in such a result repeating itself. Tarble merely calmed down his chi, slowly descending to the ground in front of his sibling. His boots slightly readjusted themselves to the broken ground below, freshly crushed by the intensity of Vegeta's energy. Wow.. his brother really was this amazing when he was serious, eh? He wondered silently if Vegeta was able to become a true Super Saiyan, and what kind of power he would have at his mercy at that point. Shaking it off, he looked upward to his sibling's gaze, ready to face him as an equal in royal standing. "What in the world are you doing here, of all places? I didn't think Earth was really your cup of tea, being the leader of such a violent army and all. Were you here to meet up with Chishan as well?" Way to give off all of your intentions at once, jackass. Bor'yoku, the god of violence, just returned from a small rest. Why did he have to come into Tarble's mind now, right when he needed all the space in his head for having a conversation with his sibling? Shut up, I trust him. He is my brother, after all. I have no reason to hide anything from someone I've trusted for nearly my entire life. You seem to forget that he is your main rival when it comes to being King, Tarble. This man is the one thing standing in the way of you getting the throne and you're just going to work together with him from the get-go? You mortals really confuse me sometimes. Tarble shook his head lightly to try and rid himself of the inner commentary for a moment. He was out here on another mission, and despite Vegeta indeed being his rival for the throne, he could use his help. "Have you heard about the incident with New Oceania? They're apparently sending some military forces to go check it out, but I don't think that is going to be enough to face this foe. I have a bad feeling that there's someone else in that island, pulling strings of another war among the humans. I know it isn't like you to help out a pathetic race like this, but I think we ought to do something to help them out, yeah..?" 1,247 Thread: 2,692 |

Sighing as she finished her cereal, the child rose from her seat and took the empty bowl and spoon to the sink. Je'sheln had already manifested outside of her body and turned several times before settling down onto the floor. Maragai had to suppress a small giggle. It was funny to think that even though Je'sheln was a goddess, she still acted like any other canine would. Sometimes, the Vessel would enter a room to see the lupine scratching behind her ear. Could deities have fleas on them? Surely the goddess of light could just burn them off! Deciding to end her silent musings on the odd topic, (she really didn't want Je'sheln to start reading her mind) the Vessel of Light turned the tap on and took a sponge out to wash the dishes that had been piling up since earlier that week. The ship she was living on was strangely silent; the girl was alone for the first time in a long time. Usually, either Tork'thal or Omega were with her. But both of them were doing their own thing. Tork'thal was in Eden's Realm discussing plans with Alexstrasza and Omega was stuck on Vegeta-Sei to carry out his duties as the army's Fleet Master. Even Zeta and Raine were still on Avalon. That left Maragai alone with Je'sheln. And the goddess of light had been quiet for the most part, focusing on her part to merge her soul and mind with Maragai's. According to Alexstrasza, the process of becoming a full Vessel was quite painful. Though nothing out of the ordinary had happened yet, Maragai certainly wasn't looking forward to what could and probably would happen. With her elbows deep into soapy water, Maragai decided to devote her full concentration that day to cleaning. If she could just keep herself busy, things would be alright. That's what she would have liked to believe, at least. But it seemed that her plans were doomed once more to be put on the back burner. A large snap of power slammed into her senses with a flash. Maragai dropped the plate she was holding in surprise. It shattered into several pieces as it hit the tile floor. Je'sheln's head rose and she looked at Maragai with concern in her golden eyes. "What's the matter?" "T-that power..." Maragai stammered, taking a shaky step backwards. "It's Papa!" Je'sheln's eyes widened in surprise. "You sure about that?" "Of course I'm sure!" Maragai snapped at the goddess impatiently. "I know what my dad's energy feels like!" But even with that said, Maragai couldn't help but feel that something was off about the energy. For one, it was entirely too large; her father wasn't nearly this strong. But still... it was his energy signature... "I'm going to go check it out," she declared suddenly, turning to go to her bedroom so she could fish out something to wear from her closet. Je'sheln scoffed, rising to follow her host. "Check it out?" she echoed. "And what are you going to say to him? 'Daddy, I missed you?'" The goddess pressed further. "And then what? Give him a hug?" When Maragai didn't respond, Je'sheln sighed. "Maragai, you aren't even born in this timeline yet. He doesn't know who you are!" Maragai paused as she pulled out a pair of jeans. "I know that," the child whispered, glancing over at the nearby picture of Blackfire, Vegeta, Misaki and her. Her amethyst eyes flashed with pain. "But... I just have to see him. I-I miss him." It didn't take long for Maragai to change, picking out a pair of jeans, an undershirt, some light armor for her chest, (it was one article that Je'sheln had insisted on) and a plain black shirt to go over the armor. With a flaring amethyst aura, the child made her way across the sky towards Vegeta's energy signature. It had died down already, but Maragai had never lost track of its location. Curiously, there seemed to be other powers near him, but they were too large to belong to a human populous. Je'sheln's form rocketed through the sky next to her. The lupine had her amber eyes fixed forward. "You know that we shouldn't be out here for today," she warned. "I know, I know," Maragai responded. "But I can't ignore this." 719/1262 TTC: 3411 |

When that familiar voice called out to him as brother it caused the Dark Prince to stare directly at the young Prince. His head tilted to the side slightly as he listened. His younger brother actually had the gall to ask what his purpose here happened to be. The thought infuriated the elder brother. After all that was hardly any of his concern. However, when Chishan’s name was tossed about it gave him pause and caused the growing anger to settle. So that warrior was here as well? It was duly noted as he listened to his brother speak some more. Was he sympathetic to the woes of this race? “I am aware of the incident though that is not why I am here. I am here to establish the status of this planet and how it has fared since the end of the war. As you may be aware it is under the protection of the empire and has yet to be returned to the control of the Protectorate,” the Dark Prince said idly. His eyes narrowed when the suggestion to help the race out was offered. “Help them,” he muttered as he pondered the idea. He didn’t exactly have anything better to do after all. He offered a slight shrug of his shoulders and said, “I could spare some time to eradicate this New Oceania and those within so this ‘crisis’ will end.” The word crisis was spoken with a degree of amusement. He was acutely aware of another power closing in on their position though he offered it little heed for the moment as he attempted to size his brother up. It would not do if a member of the royal family had grown soft in his time here. Why was he here anyway? “Actually why are you here? Did father send you here for a particular reason or are your reasons your own,” he asked the question with a hint of curiosity in his tone. He had been ill informed upon the status of his brother and his location during his seclusion into the ruins of Valhalla. It was necessary at the time however it had come with its repercussions. One such repercussion was that the status of Earth had been left to the wind during his absence. There was nothing he could do about the past but he could damn well do something about the here and now at least and so he stood there as he awaited a response from Tarble.

Tarble attempted to size up the emotions that his brother felt as he spoke. He looked irritated with him for a moment, only for his expression to soften with a flimsy addition of amusement. Did he treat the humans as mere playthings on the playground of his mind? However, Vegeta's purpose here was very different from the young royal's intentions. During the war, unknown to Tarble until this very moment, Earth was protected by the Saiyan Empire and he was merely here to check out the sights in the aftermath. Did something that dramatic really happen while Tarble was out in space? Maybe there was a lot more to this orb than Tarble had first realized. After all, why would Brother go through so much trouble to capture a planet with such weaklings on it if there wasn't any sort of merit? There were a good deal of warriors strong enough to take on Saiyans in the planet's geography, but there were none that seemed human. Aside from Roshi, there didn't seem to be any of these meatbags that were worth the time of his brother. Yet, here they were. Before the young Saiyan could question anything that Vegeta was saying, Tarble's attention shifted to the power approaching them. It was larger than his own, but not by such a huge margin as his brother's. It almost felt.. familiar, as if he had met this person before. It didn't feel like this power would reach the pair of brothers for another minute or so; he let his tensed body ease up as he looked to his brother once more. Their father, King Vegeta, didn't exactly send him to Earth. He was originally meant to go to Juno to grab a powerful ship, but he had to change course. There were strong warriors on the horizon and he was going to need every creature with a good deal of power on his side to change the tides of the upcoming battle. He wasn't going to tell Vegeta that he came here of his own accord, but instead, he would twist some things around for the sake of maybe swaying Vegeta to assist him. "I was sent here on official business by Father. I recently put down a Keliouxian splinter cell on my own and took their leader in for questioning. We were able to gain some rare Keliouxian technology that allowed us to train our bodies in a virtual reality, but it came with the price of the leader, who had to stay alive. We also managed to save a young Saiyan named Vins from their prisons, but we have reason to believe he's a spy for the Changelings. I'm here to get some strong warriors to help us put them down ahead of time." It was pretty much true; he was in desperate need of help from other people, and Chishan was one of the first ones he knew he could turn to. Although his brother wasn't exactly as easy to coerce, he could use Vegeta to help with putting down the assault as well. Tarble let off a light sigh as he looked in the direction of New Oceania. He didn't know if Vegeta concerned himself with the fate of these humans, but even if he didn't, he agreed to help Tarble in stopping the crisis before it got any worse. "The energy coming near us.. It feels like a friend. We should stick around until it gets here. The more, the merrier." 586 / 1,833 Thread: 4,414 |

Carving a path through the blue skies, Maragai traveled a lot quicker than she probably should have. But struggling with her own churning emotions meant that she didn't have a lot of concentration to devote to a sneaky approach. Even though the child did not want to alert the Saiyan prince to her power, the Vessel of Light was too preoccupied with her own memories and silent musings. It was Je'sheld who probed her as the child nearly overshot her target to blow past the city where her father resided. "Hey!" the goddess called out, pointing at the coastal city below them. "Are you even paying attention? That's New Oceania below us! If you want to be quiet about this, then at least mask your energy!" Blinking with a little bit of surprise, the child extinguished her energy and dropped from the sky, landing on the roof of a nearby building. Though she was too far away to hear any words spoken below her, she was close enough to see what was going on, at least. Je'sheln landed beside her with a soft sigh. "Too late now," the lupine goddess chided. "He's going to know you're up here." The wolf lifted her muzzle and sniffed at the air. "And now that we're here, we may as well check out what's going on in this town since everyone has seemed to lost contact." With those words, the goddess vanished. The crimson gem built into the ebony armor beneath her shirt glowed briefly as Je'sheln entered her body once more. It was an odd feeling, even still. But the girl had to shake off the uncomfortable and foreign feeling so she could peek over the roof carefully. At once, she was surprised to see another man standing beside her father. His energy reached her senses on command. That's Tarble! The man, her Uncle. She remembered him from that odd meeting they had in the Astral Realm. Even now, Je'sheln refused to tell her where they had met. Still, the girl paused, unsure of what to do. She didn't want to approach; she had no idea how to confront the two princes. And what reason did she have to approach them to begin with? Her amethyst eyes traveled from Tarble's scrawnier frame to her father's more muscular presense. He was in his full Saiyan attire, giving him an almost regal look. Maragai would have snorted in amusement were it not for the fact that she was trying to lay low. She had never seen her father look so formal in her future. You may as well go down there now, Je'sheln told her host. They're likely here because of what's going on here. That's the only reason I can think of, at least. Unless the Saiyans still have control over Earth... The goddess trailed off for a moment as if that thought scared her slightly. Either way, just be careful about what you say around him. Maragai nodded slowly, her insecurity giving way to a small sliver of confidence. Though she kept her energy suppressed, (it was just more comfortable for her) the child vaulted off of the roof and landed softly several yards away from the pair of Saiyans. Her amethyst eyes flickered as she opened her mouth... only to completely lock up. Suddenly, the child froze, seemingly unable to think of a thing to say. She glanced at Tarble in almost desperation, hoping that the younger prince would at least recognize her. Standing before her father and being unable to interact with him as such was more painful than the Vessel had realized. 602/1864 TTC: 5016 |

The Dark Prince idly listened to his brother as he spoke as his gaze swept across the local area. That is until he heard the word Changelings. Once that single word reached his ear his dark gaze fell upon the younger prince. The ground trembled slightly as the Dark Prince’s muscles bulged slightly as his body tensed up. “I will question this spy personally. If there is any information to be extracted it will be. If ending this situation on Earth hastens that meeting then so be it,” he quickly said. A low grunt rumbled from his throat when his brother mentioned the incoming energy was a friend. The term friend was not something to be used lightly. A friend of Tarble’s was not necessarily a friend of Vegeta’s after all. The suggestion to wait around and that they would need any assistance at all caused a vein to protrude from the Dark Prince’s forehead. He had taken grave offense to such a suggestion but as he glared at the younger Saiyan the newcomer had landed nearby which drew his intense gaze. This girl was to help them? She did bear a familiar appearance. Had the met prior to this encounter? The Dark Prince could not quite place her face so he promptly dismissed it as a trick of the mind as he narrowed his eyes. She seemed to be unable to find the proper words though her eyes sought out the younger of the two Saiyans which led credit to Tarble’s proclamation that this girl was a friend of his. The Dark Prince’s gaze shifted back to Tarble as he said, “So you know this girl do you? Do you vouch that she will not get in our way?” The Dark Prince stood there stoically as his earlier anger had been soothed with the newfound curiosity. The look upon the girl’s face betrayed some form of desperation. However, the cause of such desperation and why she stared so at Tarble the Dark Prince could not hazard to guess.

Tarble's frame bent slightly at the feeling of his brother's power leaking out, putting pressure on the ground around him and causing it to rumble slightly beneath the Dark Prince's feet. It just so happened to occur right when Tarble said the word 'Changelings'. His brother must have shared in the hatred of that disgusting race as well, and from what Vegeta said afterward about meeting the supposed spy, Tarble was assured that he would have helpful assistance in his mission to put down the Keliouxian onslaught. Aside from that, the power that Tarble was waiting on arrived at their location, and it was truly a familiar sight to behold. It was the crimson haired child he had the.. odd pleasure of meeting in the Astral Realm, Maragai. It was nice to see her in a setting that was a little more kid friendly. However, she almost looked petrified at the sight of Vegeta, which was pretty normal in its own right. She must have never met the Dark Prince before this day. When their gazes met, the young prince got a bit worried. She looked scared, asking for Tarble to say something to break the ice with her eyes. After his brother made a comment, Tarble walked over to Maragai and merely clasped her shoulder in excitement, smiling. "This is Maragai. She may be a small child, but she's one of our Elite soldiers. She's got more battle power than a dozen of our Royal Guards. I'd say it was the best thing for us to run into her when going into New Oceania. Her sense of justice is similar to my own." Tarble nodded lightly at Vegeta, making sure he knew that Maragai was the real deal. But how would she respond to Vegeta in her own words? 301 / 2,134 Thread: 5,656 |

The Cosmic Healer

The look of dismissal that Vegeta gave the child hurt. But Maragai knew that he wouldn't have looked at her any other way. After all, there was no chance that he would have known who she really was. But the way Tarble had introduced her made her sound like some kind of war veteran. Suddenly feeling a bit self-conscience from having both men watching her, the child drew back a pace or two. She glanced over at Tarble once more, feeling flustered. "It's not like that, or anything," she muttered. Well, we're off to a great start in introductions, aren't we? Je'sheln commented, knowing full and well how uncomfortable the child felt being stuck in such an awkward situation such as this. You'd better think of something to say before you're dismissed. The child took in a deep breath. "I saw the news bulletin about this place," she told them, glancing around at the city around her. The people here had been suffering; Maragai could tell. There was a certain note of fear in the way that the humans moved around. Nobody seemed to stay and chat with one another. With their heads lowered slightly, they quickly moved about to do their daily chores. "I wanted to help them out. It's not right for somebody to be ruled by another. Especially by a tyrant." And you're telling this to the two princes of the Saiyan Empire? Je'sheln scoffed lightly. I doubt they share your sense of justice. The shorter one, perhaps. But- Dad's not like that, Maragai interrupted the goddess silently. The lupine did not respond, and for good reason. There was no denying that the man before her was her father. But there was no telling if he was the same man who Maragai cherished from her own future. Maragai shifted from one foot to the other, hoping desperately that somebody would take the lead from her. She was no leader, that was for sure. But if these two Saiyans were here to help the townsfolk, then it made sense for them to fight together, didn't it? "My lord?" The deep voice of the wizard rang loudly as he came to Samdil. The man bowed to one knee as he waited for the human to grant him permission to speak. At first, there was only silence; the self-appointed leader of New Oceania seemed to not even look at Yesdr. The bulky alien waited patiently as his master gazed off into nothingness. Eventually, the human's ebony eyes sank to the creature before him. "What is it, Yesdr?" he said, sounding bored. His voice and eyes were dull, as if he really didn't care about what his chancellor had to say. "My lord, there are three powers that have entered your kingdom. And according to our preliminary findings, one of the men is a member of the Saiyan royal family." "Oh?" That bit of information piqued the dictator's interest. His ebony eyes sharpened and his hands clenched to fists. "And what would a member of the royal family be doing here, hmm?" "W-well, we're not sure as of yet," Yesdr admitted after a moment of silent musing. "Do you need me to kill them?" His words echoed through the room, bouncing eerily off of the stone walls. "No,"Samdil replied, the corner of his mouth twisting up into the smallest of smirks. "They could be passing through for all we know. And I'd rather not engage the Saiyans until I solidify my foothold on this planet. Watch them for now. If they decide to engage, they'll find that I'm ready and waiting." 601/2465 TTC: 6257 |
