A large blue ball formed in Ariel’s hand but Yan kept eyes to her. He knew the attack well by now and it would come at a certain speed. She was testing the waters and so it would be easy to dodge, the problem would be getting in close to an opponent that was much stronger and faster then him and who he had no real blood lust for. Plans formed but none were quite interesting. He wasn’t sure he wanted to taunt the girl so early, though it’d be easy to make her sloppy as such and to get her to rush him. The park was empty with a set of swings, a fort and slide, and a small metal bus. He didn’t quite want to ruin it but he supposed that’s what taxes were for. She shot the blast, adding another rule as he put his energy and concentration into the dodge. He leapt up using a bit of ki and the crashed blast to push himself higher and faster. Without much pause as her light blue blast burst under him, he shot out four blasts of his own. They were weak but he wanted just the speed and splatter and he pelted them out at and in some options to where she might flee. Ariel was probably fast enough to get completely out of range long before being threatened but it was only a start, a test of his own to see just how she planned to take this “training.” There were many routes to follow after all. He landed lightly in a crouched position on the top of the swing set, guard up ready to leap out of the way of another blast. There was a slight grin on his face almost despite himself and overall he was reminiscent more to a mischievous monkey then a crouching beast ready to attack. 315/315 |

The rounded orb approached Yan at a very mediocre pace; the attack itself lacking any real style, grace or finesse. Still, that had been her intention- she knew how often he'd seen her use this particular attack; and additionally she knew that he was quite aware of it's true destructive capabilities. Yet, she hoped his reaction might tell her more- fighting was so much fun; it always told you so much of a person. Ariel kept her eyes glued to Yan like an eagle observing it's meal. She smirked at his rather unique dodge as he landed atop the swing set. The Experiment couldn't deny though; that the sudden shockwave from the blast as it struck the Earth was a little off putting. Her vision filled with bright oranges and reds. There was even a surprise gust of wind that had her skirt flapping violently. Ariel beamed down at Yan as he fired four beam balls at her ascending form. She twirled, pirouetted and danced around the four with a wide smile. The Experiment balanced out as her crimson aura enveloped her; she stared down at Yan a little agitated he was straight to the AoE attacks- but she shouldn't be surprised he was smart. The third generation model allowed heat to build in her stomach; as she took a deep breath breathing deep dark red flames down at him from the sky. ------------------- WC - 233 Champion(Level 1)/Combat Rune |

Yan’s hands pressed down on the cool metal of the swing set’s top bar and he pushed his legs up and did one quick swing for momentum before letting go with a bit of ki to amplify his force, and once again moving out of range from her attack. The poor swing set was quickly covered in a black soot from the flames and he could feel the heat trying to reach him still as he landed still slightly in the air. He did not wait for it. Lunging forward with good speed he went right at her now, and he swung his leg in a fast kick. He did not pause even if he hit air to let off a mumbled ”Detonate.” Before she could counter the air or her if by dumb luck if it connected, exploded by his foot and Yan once more did not take pause. Ariel was faster and tougher and this was a play fight of wills. He would not be overwhelmed, but she might be. She had underestimated him thus far. He shot the very fast beam set in her direction in the chaos. The mesposo blast was weak, but it’s speed was tricky especially in the chaos that was flames and exploding air. He only needed a hit but he was seeing this as Ariel was, a way to understand each other. How they fought, how their minds worked...It build a sick feeling in his stomach but he ignored it, his smile remaining. 257/ 572 |

The third-generation model stared blankly down at the now scorched away remains of the landscape that had occupied the site under the swings; in it's place all that was left was dirt, and the soot covered swings. Ariel was grinning-like a madwoman at her own destruction; slasher smile, it was the only means to describe her expression. She had a grin spread from ear to ear. Her lips were coiled like a snakes, and her fangs were all barred towards the redhead as he evaded her attack. Oh, how she loved to fight; and yet, she wanted to hate it. She really did. She was no longer a tool of science. So why? Why? did she love the feel of the wind as it struck spaces that she'd previously occupied? Or the howls of opponents as they cried out in pain, their whimpers; pleas for mercy. It was all like a music symphony to hear ears~ she wanted to hear it. Ariel gazed coldly as Yan came soaring towards her with his knee raised; she could tell at this point he was serious. Her mind briefly wandered what he might ask her- but she wasn't going to make this easy for him. The Experiment snappily drew her hand to her head as her form vanished from the sky appearing atop the swing-set. She casually fell atop the swing-set letting it rock her backwards and forwards with a slight creak. She yelled at the top of her lungs to deter the energy wave that came soaring towards her. “Happy. Happy. Happy. I am so happy, that you're taking this seriously.” she told him delightedly, “I don't know what you could possibly want to inquire about. But, I don't care about that right now; lets step this up,” she added, as she creaked her neck atop the swings before rising to a stance. The Experiment soared towards Yan while bringing her hands up before her crimson eyes. “Solar Flare,” she screamed, trying to blind him with the sunlight that reflected from her eyes towards Yan. She'd follow through with a barrage of punches regardless of the result. ----------- WC - 353 TWC - 586 |

Yan was not actually good at staying in the air, so as she launched toward him he was already losing momentum. The flare took him off guard and froze him up which did not help his falling situation. Ariel on the other hand did. She struck him hard with an array of punches, pushing in close and that was in ways what he wanted. Well, his poor bruised body didn’t but it was well enough. He only needed one hit, it didn’t matter how many he took as long as he could move enough to make it. His eyes had closed under the sharp light but he didn’t need his sight and while he felt momentarily stunned each of Ariel’s actions were easily read. The way her energy moved from his arms to her fists, the actions. The pummel was predictable and when she moved for one he could feel the second arm tensing, preparing. He took that punch and instantly moved to give a punch in return now that the stun had worn off. He could not quite counter her speed but he knew it was coming and he ignored bracing himself to it and instead lashed forward while she was still enthralled. In case she pulled back, or her own punch struck him too far back to connect, he encased it in energy that shot out from his knuckles like a blast with or without his knuckles connecting. He just needed one hit, and Ariel misunderstood his way of doing things quite a lot. He had his own goals and motivations. Sometimes they led him to fighting and sometimes they led him to taking a beating. Actually, they led to taking a beating a lot! The thing was he didn’t actually mind it. He healed quickly, and pain was just a price of the game. He was happy to feel her skin against his even in a punch, and if his met...He did not share the same wild grin the experiment had but his easy smile remained even through gritted teeth. 345/917 |

Ariel smirked as her solar flare found it's mark; she was grinning sadistically as she drew her arms back and struck it against Yan's body. She barraged the man with quick punches to his chest, and head any body part she could find really. The Experiment had expected a counter attack upon getting in close, perhaps she'd been abit cocky thinking her speed advantage might compensate. But, it really was the oldest trick in the book- unfortunately this also meant it worked. Ariel felt Yan's fist strike her chest- and floated backwards from him. “Your question?” she asked, unable to hid her agitation with the result. 'maybe one touch might have been abit much with the techniques he was using' she pondered. In any case though there was little the Experiment could do but wait for his question as they'd agreed. ------------- WC - 141 TWC - 727 |

Yan wiped some blood from his face as Ariel retreated. He almost wished she didn’t and had half expected the touch to result in another Big Bang before she settled herself. Somehow she was a little more in control this training session. He’d been pummeled a bit into the ground and he pushed himself up into a sitting position. Oh, he’d be sore in the morning most likely, but he quite liked a good morning soreness. The first question. It would have to be an easy one, but he didn’t quite have an easy one up his sleeve. It could be, but it could be quite challenging too depending. Ariel was always a bit of a mystery. He’d promised nothing perverse and he quite hoped she didn’t take it as such but realized she might have more perverse a brain then he at points. ”Besides the whole savior thing, what do you actually like about Tomoko?” 161/1077 |

“Heh,” she responded, more then a little surprised at Yan's question; the late teenagers eyes broadened echoing her surprise. The demented smile that had held upon her face during the training session faltered to be replaced with a much more casual smirk. Ariel slowly worked to catch her breath, all that dodging had taken it out of her- the beam ball's especially had taken a lot to pirouette about. “What do I like?” she repeated, to double check but a little agitated by the question; since Yan too should of felt Tomoko's pull. Still, despite this fact- she had to answer as she'd promised him earlier. She didn't actually much like to talk about others- nor was she too trusting of people in general. They all held there own agendas. They'd happily lied, steal, and cheat at the drop of a hat too- it was human nature. How can anyone ever be trusted? When that was human nature. Yet, the fact that Tomoko had helped her,- nay saved her and guided her all this time meant a great deal to the former Experiment. “That's actually very tough to answer with your exclusion; If I had to say though I'd say it's because we have similar interest, and because she's looked out for me all this time. Tell her any of this and I'll make you food for Auris too-” she threatened darkly. “She's a lot like a sun, it's very easy to get pulled in- even if you had other plans to begin with... That could be because Tomoko does a lot to help others, even if she tries to hide it. I'm fairly sure that's the motivation behind this group scene too- so she can continue to guide and teach. I'm trying to put up with that- but people can be so cruel. I-I don't have her love for company, I-I was created in a laboratory to be used as a weapon. If I'm alone then no-one can hurt me- Yes, that's childish logic but it's the truth. Still, I wanted to push that aside and be like her,- well as she is with you and Kaiya... but me with her. She's just lacking the time lately.” Ariel responded, despondently. ------------------------ WC - 364 TWC - 1000+ |

Yan listened quietly with genuine interest. He did not interrupt and waited until he was sure she was finished and then gave it some thought, looking away for a brief moment. ”Get too close to a sun and it will burn you up,” he murmurs, perhaps more to himself then the girl. He pushed himself up to his feet and turned his attention back to her. It didn’t seem it was quite the answer he wanted but it also seemed like it was little bother to him personally. At the least she admitted a bit that she was childish. Children tended to eventually grow up. ”I find that no matter the defenses you take, hurt will find you,” he says in a calm tone. Whether it be loneliness, one’s own self hating heart, or simply life hitting at sore spots, one didn’t actually need people to do the hurting. She was right, they were quite good at it. They could be cruel and betrayal was often the worst of hurts, but as long as one was living you could not be safe from it. ”Sometimes the good is worth the hurt. Sometimes at least you can learn from it. Changing your life for a chance at better things is worth the risk no?” he offers but then shrugs not needing her answer. She had only promised him one after all. ”Again, another time then~” he adds, bending over and stretching his worn limbs so maybe the soreness wouldn’t be quite so hard on him. Looking up to her he smiles. ”Thanks.” 1000+ |
