The Fool of ADBZ
|
He looked upon the courtyard, staring at the spot where it had happened. The platform still stood, but the wheel was long gone, once again put away as deep as possible. Its very existence was proof that Avalon had once been brutal and cruel, and in hiding it they denied that past. And I'm starting to think they should have spent more time learning from it, Tapion mused as he stared at the lacquered wood. From his hand dangled a string, leading down and connected to a strange round device that was beeping regularly. Upon its green grid, a black dot was fading in and out in time with the beeps, marking something that seemed to be nearby. After a moment more of looking, he lifted the device up by its strap and looked at the screen. "Hmm...seems to be in the Cougon Plains," he stated, clicking the button on the top of the device a few times before putting it away in a pocket. He would have to keep a continuous track of its movement, but for the time being, he had more important matters to attend to. For the first time in years, the ashen warrior was going on a date. Then again, it may have been decades since he had been a true date. With his last few lovers, it had mostly been filled with travel and them watching him dive headfirst into danger. They had shared great moments together, but he knew much of their lives with him had been filled with worry and concern. Maybe he feared not the Reaper, but they still did. Still, he was going on a date with a person that had, quite frankly, not given him a choice on whether she was a part of his life or not, though really had not argued too much. They had come to Avalon together to find a proper place for a date, which he did not mind. Hikari probably thought the world was taboo to him after what had happened, but in all honesty, he was desensitized to the act of death. It was everything else associated with death that was a problem. Dammit, wasting too much time. Only have a little bit before I have to meet her at the park in Avalon City, he determined, rising up from his position, cloak swirling around his body like the dark clouds of the Maelstrom. A shimmer stole those clouds away, his entire form shooting off to their designated meeting point just outside Ramsey Park, named for the late Paladin Commander that had died in the second Damaskian War. They were supposed to meet at the fountain capped by a statue of him, so it was to there he went and it was there that he waited, hood pulled up just in case the odd Paladin or two walked past. They might recognize him and do that thing where mortals experience emotional distress at the sight of someone who was supposed to be dead. And he really did not need that when he was supposed to be on a date. ------------------------------------------ Word Count: 520 Word of Tapion: 520 Total Word Count: 520 |

Hikari's time on Avalon had been pleasant enough, though she did have to be careful. She wasn't on any wanted posters, but if she allowed anyone to see that she was with Damaskia, it would be jail time, if not an outright death sentence. She would become a scapegoat for all of Damaskia's 'crimes'. And that, she could not allow, as Hikari had another life to worry about. Tapion might be a sort of immortal being, but he could still be sent to the Next Dimension, like any Celestial could. She pressed breath out of her mouth with annoyance as she looked across the table into the mirror. She wasn't one to doll herself up for any occasion, and she had only done minimal here. She wore something less fitting for the date, but it would have to do, because it was her only clothing not fully sported by the Damaskian military. She had conjured up a special black dress, a bit more revealing of the sides of her stomach, and a bit of her hips. The area between her chest and neck, with a little bit of her girls, showed as well. The outfit had a scarf over her mouth and nose, if she left it as such, and a hood with holes for her cat-like ears when she was transformed, as she was for this occasion. Her pants were very short, but hidden under the hem of her shirt, with a hole for her tail. Stockings ran up her legs, but stopped, with about five inches of skin that still showed. She had black gloves on, made of the same soft material her dress was made of. The Damaskian commander closed her eyes as she thought about her choices in life, and what it meant to carry the burden of the Chaos power inside of her. At times, the Old Gods' influence over her sanity was only held back by her refusal to listen to their whispers. Her eyes then gazed at the clock and she nodded to herself. The dingy, sad little room she stayed in was at least equipped with a clock, she granted, so it wasn't all bad. She strode to the door and paused a moment, as she looked back. It was too bad that she and Tapion couldn't get a better place to stay, and stay together. She couldn't remember who had suggested different living quarters for now, but it would arouse less suspicion. “The statue, right?” She had muttered this to herself as she walked along the pathway to meet Tapion and wondered just how she would recognize him; all she remembered from the dazed, love-struck moment of what she drew of this planet, was that he had died here. And Hikari had never been here before. She was forced to invade local minds and tap into their knowledge on where this thing was. How would she greet Tapion? She was in her transformed state, so that she did not have her more human appearance that the Paladins knew was a Damaskian. This form, they didn't know about. She just hoped Tapion would recognize her power signature, which she had some control over for now with some experimental Damaskian technology. Words: 539 Saga Total: 1058 |

The ashen warrior sat on the edge of the fountain, leaning over to press one gauntlet-covered finger to the surface of the water. With a little whisper and a quick swirl of his finger, a silver rune appeared on the liquid before falling down and dispersing into it. Satisfied, he turned away from the strange act, a ki signature drawing his attention. And there is my lady love, he mused, rising up from his seat to make his way through the Avalanian people. They did not give him even a second look, even though he stood out in his storm cloud cloak. The advantage of a filter on perceptions, made it harder to see what was always there. Almost like trying to look at something out the corner of your eye. But that was not important. What was stood before him in a little black dress and brought the hint of a smile to his face. I think a surprise is in order. With a plan already formed and will focused, Tapion's form shimmered, a little dust cloud marking his departure. He reappeared behind Hikari, foot already sweeping out as he attempted to trip her into his arms, dip her down and give her that kind of kiss a person only saw in the movies; passionate like fire. He did not care what the people around thought, or even if they noticed, what was important was the surprise and the after effect. "Sorry, just could not resist the urge," he whispered to her as he drew back. One gauntlet reached up, drawing back his hood so he could feel the sun on his skin and see her without the magic of the filter obscuring his view. Mirth played across his features, no sign of discomfort at being on the very planet he had been executed on less than a year ago. A couple of individuals nearby turned pale as ghosts nearby before running away, the others confused why they would do that. "Probably best we leave for your surprise before someone calls Paladins. I have no desire to fight an army today, not when I meant for it to be spent with you, Hikari," the ashen warrior said calmly, a bit of his mirth gone as he looked discreetly at the people around them. She would have to lead them, seeing as he had no idea where they were going. ------------------------------------------ Word Count: 402 Word of Tapion: 922 Total Word Count: 1460 |

Tapion's appearance was not as surprising as he might have thought, but then again, he had so much more speed than her, that she was still tripped! The young Celestial yelped out briefly before the two's lips met and she almost bit his tongue for the surprise, but leaned into it until he pulled away. The sight of his face was certainly an event, though she didn't really care. The look he had was just something that she loved more about the ashen knight. Hikari allowed herself to be held a little longer before she pulled herself up a bit and looked over at the people around her- luckily she was in her own disguise, but being seen with Tapion was not to their advantage to avoid...unnecessary detection. "I'll forgive you this once, buster," Hikari growled playfully as she fake-punched his face. But, of course, they needed to get away from this area. Her thoughts moved to the park that no one would dare go to, in the part of town where a certain community had been allowed to live. She grabbed his hand that had moved his cowl away and whispered, "Hold on, lover." Their forms shimmered and then went out of existence- at least in that spot. After a few minutes, several Paladin squads had shown up, but with them gone, they were forced to make up an excuse. The one in the front of them wore a bow on his back, a hero back from the war. The Avalanian swept his gaze around and growled, "Listen up. We had some swamp gas..." Hikari and Tapion found themselves next to a tree, the only tree around. The landscape looked blasted and worn away, but if one tried hard to look, the destroyed trappings of a small city was all around them. It likely wasn't something that fancied Tapion, but to Hikari, it held a grotesque art. She hoped from Tapion and landed, where she smiled lightly. "It was the only life force I had to grab onto around here. Don't worry, this was the epicenter of the damage. I think Rei came back here and planted the tree to come back and visit." She walked and whistled towards a destination that would baffle Tapion, no doubt, but she had seen it from the mind of someone in the park. It was a special place that had been saved from the blast, completely un-harmed by the ki attack, the heat it produced, and had even sheltered the life force of a few of the younger beings of the race. Hikari turned sly, glazed over eyes to Tapion and whispered, "This is what happened when the shadow of a Dark God forced the hand of a war hero. Tapion, you are not like this war hero- because unlike him, I know you would have fought that Dark God. Even if it had cost you a trip to the Next Dimension." What he heard would have been Hikari's voice, but with something behind it. Something dark, and sinister. Something that she never gave to him, her darker side. That seemed to fade as what she sought came into sight; a park. It had some unkempt grass, that was true, but it was still a beautiful place. Several park benches sat in it, with swing sets, and play areas for children. The Celestial moved over to the bench in the middle and sat down, and turned to Tapion, "This is what I wanted to try. From back on Vegeta. I hope you remember?" |

She seemed to have considered a more playful response to the kiss, but he found no resistance beyond that little thought and he was not one to make himself privy to her mind. Hikari was not an enemy, far from it, and so her mind was off limits to him. Then again, it also made their exchanges all the more interesting. Not knowing, a rare experience for Tapion. When she spoke, he nodded in response, senses already proving that only so much sunlight was in his days. Something fast was in the distance, and no desire lay in him to deal with it forcefully. So it was that the ashen warrior found himself standing below a tree, staring into the old ruins of a dead city. Immediately, his features filled with sorrow, the image plying the strings of his soul at the sight of such destruction. So much of it... he thought, eyes turning black as he seemed to see something all around that made his face all the more sorrowful. Banishing his dark gaze, Tapion refocused on the young woman that walked ahead of him, keeping his eyes at a level gaze to the back of her head. Too much was a temptation below that point, and it took more willpower than he thought he'd needed to maintain that level. Still, when she turned to speak to him with sly eyes and words touched by shadows, one eyebrow rose up in response. "You speak true on that, Hikari. There are few things I fear and dark gods are nowhere on that list," he replied with a small smile. It did not quite touch his eyes. Similar to how she held her own demons, the ashen warrior held his own. She knew some of it, but there were secrets he withheld even from her. Like the rules of his immortality. No need to let her know how that worked. Tapion was broken from that reverie as they arrived at their destination. His lady love spoke, sitting upon a bench that looked far more familiar than it should have, considering where they were. A small smile once again touched his face, though it did not forget his eyes again. "I remember quite well, Hikari. I think what I was supposed to do was...this," and on that word, he sat down upon the bench, turned sideways and lay his head upon her lap so that he could look up into her eyes. A contented look was upon his face as he gazed upon her, no hint of gold or onyx in his cool green eyes. "Have I ever told you how radiant you are to me, Hikari?" the ashen warrior asked quietly, his eyes doing their damnedest to memorize every line, every curve, of the visage that was above him. "Against all my logic, all the knowledge of our differences, I am drawn to you. You are so simply, yet so utterly, beautiful to me. Mea melenas," he stated. There stood no lies in his eyes, the words of his language standing testament to that fact. It was impossible to lie in High Konatsu, for it was also the language of his magics, and true music brokered no falsehoods. Then again, something tickled the edge of his senses. Something told him that even in the ruins of a city, hidden in a park where no one had stood for years, they were being followed. He did not let his face betray that he thought an enemy incoming, but if they interrupted his time with Hikari, even Hell would find his response appalling. ------------------------------------------ Word Count: 603 Word of Tapion: 1,525 Total Word Count: 2,655 |

Tapion did not falter, he didn't even try, Hikari guessed as a smile slid over her face. The ashen knight took his seat on the bench, and then laid his head on her lap, and she was content as she placed a hand on his forehead, a look of utter joy and peace on her face. She had never had this kind of moment, one where the two of them had the time to just be. "Ahh..." Hikari giggled a bit when he complimented her, her face blushed as he asked her his question, and she answered with a smile she reserved just for her lover, "You could never tell me that enough, love." The moment, it was captured, the true moment captured within her mind, and it pushed her demons and shadows aside. Tapion was the one and only thing that truly mattered to Hikari. His compliments even continued and she giggled before she replied after she bent down and kissed him, "Logic and love are two different things, Tapion. Against the odds, isn't it?" She pulled her face away with lidded eyes as something snapped her mental wards placed around the area. Even without the ability to sense, her psychic powers flared in warning as her head moved back a bit more. The bullet, high caliber and would have been enough to punch a hole in her skull, flew by and crashed into a building that was already ready to fall over. "Oh, lover... we have unsavory guests." The young woman narrowed her eyes and didn't see them, that wasn't something she had prepared ahead of time. Tapion was her only concern, and she wanted to keep him safe. No, she needed him to stay safe. If he wanted to get up, she placed a hand on his chest and whispered, "You have always protected me from danger. But I have never been able to do the same for you. I will handle this, so you can have dry hands for this day." Tendrils of psychic energy flared out of the ground to the attackers, in their minds the energies were as real as if Hikari had summoned one of the Elder Gods from H. P. Lovecraft's lore. They flared about and crushed anyone that had been near them. Cries of horror and death sounded out as Hikari laid back on the park bench as the power spread, in a circle outside the two of them. -- Soldiers stared at their companions and then they were enveloped in the madness as well. Hikari's power made them tear at their heads and eyes widen. Mouths dripped silva as they cried out and fell to the ground, their minds shattered from the experince as horror broke out in this broken area. Hikari's connection to Avalon was more than they had ever guessed, more than something even the Paladin commander in charge of the operation knew. The power made his men destroy themselves, and he was the last that the power reached. Malik swiped his hand out and drew his blade and slammed it into the ground in front of him. The power rippled at the sword and stopped, unable to advance on him. Even so, it was so focused on him, that his mind caught glimpses of the visions. "It can't be," the Paladin commander whispered. He was one of the few that knew such tendrils, a scholar's Paladin son. It was something that was trapped, deep within Avalon. Something jailed there, the sole reason that this planet had been formed. Was one of the two psychics aligned with one of those things? -- His blade was drawn then, and Hikari visibly flinched. "Oww," she murmured. Her hand on Tapion's chest came off and she placed it on her head, "Well, that was not fun. Someone just shattered my spell." It was a mix of her psychic powers and magic from her race, but now that was gone for the moment, and her mind reeled from the destruction of the spell. But that there was someone here capible of that, spoke to the fact that Avalon knew Tapion was here, she guessed. That they had sent someone able to deal with her Ashen Knight- but she would not let that happen. Words: 709 / 1,838 Total: 3,363 |

Tapion smiled softly up at Hikari, like all new love, she was his world for the moment, a center he could only gravitate around. He did not mind it, though, it certainly took his mind off of the evils he dealt with so often and every peaceful day he had was a godsend. Still, when her eyes closed halfway, a hallmark of psychic focus, he knew his own sense of foreboding was not incorrect. Someone had followed them, and he was quite ready to deal with them. Especially when a bullet whipped past his lover's head. "I can feel them as well. This should only tak-" He was cut off as she spoke again, pushing against him to keep him where he was. The ashen warrior's eyebrow rose immediately. There was a slight hint of a frown tugging at his lips, but he dispelled it. She wanted to protect him for once, which was not something he was used to. Over a millennium old and he was experiencing something new. It was...interesting. So, passively, he watched with both eyes within and without. Tapion observed the tendrils of astral power emanate out from Hikari, reaching out to all their foes and spreading nightmarish images and dark emotions. It was straight from the annuls of the darkest stories, screams and horror echoing throughout the ruined city and eliciting a grimace from him. They were hunting him and deserved retribution, but what they were experiencing was no doubt terrifying. Ki signatures were disappearing all around him, until only one flaring power stood in defiance to the fear, rebuking it with greater will. He saw the backlash that caused upon Hikari and the grimace immediately turned to a stone-cold expression. He rose up, ignoring any attempt by his beloved to stop him. Hints of the lunar aura that he possessed began to lick at his form, showing the tempestuous emotions that a lone Paladin had awoken. "Do not fear for me, Hikari. The last time I dealt with Avalon, I gave myself over to them and hid my strength. They have forgotten with whom they deal and today I intend to remind them that I am no mere mortal," he stated as he drew his sword. The licks of energy immediately became silver bolts of ki, dancing around his body as his eyes faded into a starry sky. At that moment, the Paladin landed, blade pointed at his prey. "Tapion, you are hereby under arrest for war crimes and falsifying an execution. I have no idea how you survived the Wheel, but I intend to rectify that mistake," Malik stated, his own ki beginning to roar around him. A small, dark, smile found its way to the ashen warrior's lips as he felt the energy the commander possessed. It was potent, enough to halt him on a normal day, but the day was nowhere near from normal. "My crimes are no concern of Avalon, Commander, I already paid my dues with death. And you are interrupting my peace, so I fear you have made a terrible mistake," Tapion replied as his free hand grasped reality and ripped a hole in it to a land locked between day and night. The stars brightened and the lightning began to lick out into an aura again, affected by the dust-like energy washing over him. Yet, unlike before, the aura did not merely stay to his form. It expanded at a frightening rate, taking over an area the size of the city's ruins. Malik looked at the oppressive energy rushing off of his opponent with a mixture of surprise and concern. The records had no story of such power being at the unknown alien's beck and call. Still, he had a job to do and no massive energy was going to stop him. He rushed forward, blade coming down for the skull, only for it to be met by a great sword in a shriek of steel. Glowing white eyes on a face crowned by fire looked at him with no emotion, eerie in how they seemed to stare into his soul. With a flick, Tapion knocked away the blade and kicked his opponent into the sky, following him up immediately. He did not want to battle so near Hikari, not when she might be affected by the twilit energies he dealt in. ------------------------------------------ Word Count: 726 Word of Tapion: 2,251 Total Word Count: 4,089 |

The young Celestial stared at Tapion as she tried to grip his arm, to pull him back. No, it was her chance to protect him, but he even defied that. Her hand returned to her head and she flinched. "That damned Paladin," she growled, before the impressive display of Tapion rippled out. Reality was changed, sliced away from the peace and turned into something darker. "Kirei..." The young woman whispered as the twilight howled around them. She couldn't sense ki anymore, so her sense of what level either of them were at was off. And then something spoke in her mind. "Young one," it started, in a thousand voices, low and deep, "You seek the power to defend your loved one? The seed within you resonates with me. I am your Patron of Death. Yog'Soran, the Elder of Death, and brother to another god of Death." It spoke about death as if it were a reality that went beyond even the Next Dimension, an entirely different existence. Her reply was tender from the backlash, but her eyes were narrowed, one eye closed against the chill of the voice, "My seed is not of you. I served Damaskian, Pendragon, when I got this power. I won't let anyone control me. Not even Pendragon will control me." Her reply was followed with a short pause before she continued, "Besides, I can defend my lover without you. Yog'soran, it sounds like a name from an author. There's no way you are real, just part of the Backlash from that Paladin." A low, deep chuckle sounded out, as tentacles from within the earth broke free in the communication between the two of them, not something that Tapion or his Paladin commander enemy would see or feel in this twilight. "You have already accepted part of my power. That form that the Seed gave you: it is not what Pendragon calls it. Your form is the Death Form." Before it could continue, the tentacles started to get crushed down against the grounds and rage poured from the young woman, her eyes narrowed ahead, before her voice grew loud at the dark god, ”I do not require your assistance here, you fucking piece filth. I am done listening to you. Retreat, run away, disappear!” The psychic attack slammed through the barrier that Yog’soran had managed to summon from his jail, and the backlash smacked him from her head, but released a heavy wind from where she was. The young woman panted, but then she focused. Wherever Tapion was, she would support him. The young woman pushed herself up, and looked up as white, feathery wings sprouted from her back as she looked for her love. Hopefully, she wouldn’t have to rely on the Scouter that she had, the crimson eyes narrowed in the twilight. She decided that it would be a good idea to visit Roshi again. But, that was secondary to what happened in the sky. Words: 491 / 2,329 Total: 4,580 |

The Twilight Knight raced up to his opponent, empty gaze locking on to the Paladin Commander even as he recovered from the kick. In an instant, they met again, the enemy barely able to bring his sword to bare. They fell into a deadly dance in the sky, one pushing the offensive while the other hastened their defenses, just keeping up with the assault. The screech of metal against metal, sparks flying everywhere that were brightened by the presence of his massive aura, it all served to break the silence of the city. "What manner of monster are you?" Malik stated as they fought, staring into the serene eyes of his prey. He had presented such anger before, but something had changed beyond the physical when Tapion had transformed. Even as the Paladin scrambled to defend and launch the occasional attack, he could see that he was being played with. A grimace of anger appeared on his face, his aura rising with his emotions as he launched a, thankfully successful, reckless attack that caused his opponent to be launched away. The resulting crash was satisfying, a building collapsing at the strength of the collision. "I will not give you a chance to get back up!" he roared, a glow of power gathering in his sword, and he launched it with a slash. The resulting ki crescent smashed into the ruins, exploding with exuberance. Malik doubted that had been enough, so he readied himself, just in case. After what he had seen in those glowing eyes, he would not rest until he felt the criminal sliding off his blade. Down below, in the smoking ruins, Tapion lay, staring into the dust cloud with a diagonal scar across his chest. It was shallow, but it had cut through his clothes and actually harmed him. Black blood was oozing from the wound as he looked down at it, head cocking to one side. Standing up, he looked up towards Malik, gaze piercing through the veil of smoke with supernatural senses. He actually managed to harm me, which means his power is more restrained than he's letting on. Foolish man, thinking he can take me as he is, he mused, rising calmly out of the dust cloud. He could see that the Paladin was expecting him, taking note of the already-healing wound on his chest. No doubt the Avalonian believed him an abomination, but that was not his concern. The opinion of one man, or even an entire government, was not something to worry about. "You should not hold back, Commander, or else you will fail your mission and lose your life." With that statement put out, the Twilight Knight launched forward, giving no warning to Malik. He feinted a thrust and caught his opponent off-guard with a knee to the stomach. Pressing the advantage further, he pressed one palm against the man's chest and released an invisible wave of ki that sent him flying and cracked the shining armor. But as he rushed forward again, the Paladin proved to be ready, responding to the assault with another, larger, crescent of power. At least he is not insulting me now, Tapion thought, catching the wave on the Z Sword even as it forced him down out of the sky. He crashed into another building, an explosion ripping outwards as the crescent shattered open its power. ------------------------------------------ Word Count: 563 Word of Tapion: 2,814 Total Word Count: 5,143 |

"Tapion!" The Celestial moved from the spot that she had been at and to his side. The Paladin was strong, that was for sure, but she wouldn't let him defeat Tapion. She smiled down at her lover and placed a hand on his head, "Haven't I told you not be reckless, knuckle head?" She bent her head down and killed him on the lips as she dragged on something invisible between them, as a long chain appeared. A collar appeared around both their necks as she whispered, "We are forever linked, Tapion. I love you: and I won't let you lose." As she stood up, her gaze turned to a Paladin that weakly stalked after her. The Celestial projected an imagine akin to earlier, but he seemed to deflect it away. Figures, with the way she had to spread the psychic wave wide, it would have been thinner in some areas and not as deadly to others. She drew up here hand and said, "Just be aware Tapion, from now on, I will take your pain. I gave you my strength, and that is the price I paid for you. Now, defeat him, and we can move forward. Ever the hard path for us, isn't it?" Her wings sprouted then, as her power flared up towards her maximum, as the shade of the wings changed to crimson. A change would come over her for this, she knew that, but it didn't matter. Not much mattered to her right now, besides Tapion and their date that was interrupted. The Celestial narrowed her eyes at the Paladin on the ground, who pushed his blade into the ground to stand up straight, before white wings flared out from his back. "Humph," she growled, "Celestial as well, I see." The psychic Celestial slammed her hand onto the ground as she trusted Tapion to take on Malik, while she took on this grunt, and any others that would interrupt the fight. The chain that connected them would not be broken, at least for some time. Luckily, it was more of a psychic connection, and so long as none of these Paladins were psychic, they wouldn't see it. From the ground she drew out a spear, which halted the Paladin. It would be a stand off, so long as she held the spear out. If she made one wrong move, he could close the gap and attack her his sword. If he made the wrong move, he knew he would be skewered. That made her smile, so she could at least keep this minion off of her lover. The Paladin circled Hikari and she followed him with her spear, her eyes intent on his movements, less than his eyes. She had, admittedly, not the best spear stance, nowhere near a master. She was more a master of the shield that she had, hidden in a pocket dimension that she could draw on. It was that, that made her able to hold the confidence that held the Paladin back- at least, that's what she told herself. Words: 2,839 |

The Fool of ADBZ
|
Tapion was surprised when Hikari appeared before him in the smoke and wreckage. Pulling on something he had not noticed before, she kissed him on the lips, taking a decidedly lead role. Though surprised, he did lean into the kiss before she stepped back to speak, a collar appearing around their necks and linked by an astral chain that only showed the strength of their connection. He briefly looked down at the collar as she rose and faced off against another Paladin nearby. He rose as well, stepping to stand beside her for a brief moment. A smile touched his lips as she spoke again, glowing eyes turning to her. "If you carry my pain, then I will be the sword to destroy all our enemies. Nothing will stand in our way again, Hikari," he stated calmly. The Twilight Knight stepped out of the wreckage, cracking his neck a couple of times as he began to fly up to Malik. He trusted in the woman he loved to handle herself while he dealt with the commander. Rising up to an equal level, he stared at the enemy. "Commander Malik, I am afraid that it must end now. You interrupted my peace and quiet for your government and your justice. All I wanted was to go on a date with my beloved and you destroyed that. So now I will return the favor." The commander looked at him with determination, ignoring what he had said in favor of preparing for the next attack. What was not expected, though, was for Tapion to simply disappear. "What?! Where did he g-ugh!" Malik exclaimed, launched away by a brutal kick to his side. He spun around to meet the next attack, only to find that Tapion was already there, a hand glowing with silver and dusk grasping his face. The commander screamed as his face burned while they were both flown to the ground at intense speeds. An explosion echoed out from their impact, almost immediately followed by a golden beam that pierced through the dust cloud. At its apex, the Twilight Knight pushed back with the Z-Sword, a glow emanating from the blade as he cleaved through the ki and rushed down to its creator. "Fayra Diviega!" he roared, the legendary blade igniting with bright white flame as he thrust it into Malik's chest. Blood erupted from the commander's mouth, already steaming from the heat of the weapon. He regarded Malik with cold eyes as he leaned down to whisper into the dying man's ear. A look of shock appeared in the Paladin's eyes right before the light disappeared from there in. Drawing the Z-Sword out, Tapion flicked it to get rid of the blood and sheathed the weapon away. The twilit area began to fade away, receding back to a simple aura around his body as he looked towards Hikari. She was handling the other Paladin well enough, but he was done with Avalon for the time being. "It is time to leave," he stated, appearing behind the young Paladin and striking brutally to the man's neck with a chop. Unprepared for the strike, the man fell unconscious and crumbled to the ground. The ashen warrior walked up to Hikari and extended one hand to grasp her's. Avalon was not somewhere he could return to for a long time, not until enough time had passed for them to forget him. And he still had things to do and new players on the board to investigate. It would not do to have entities that he knew nothing about hanging around.
