Man Of Honor
Don Braxton (10:08:25 PM): Narvi sat cross-legged in front of his gem and closed his eyes. He concentrated on the gem before him, and within a few moments, he found himself in the astral realm yet again. This time around, he was in what appeared to have been an underground channel. It was something like a sewer, but thankfully without the repulsive smell, and the water that flowed through was marginal at best, and it appeared to have been very clean. "I guess this is nice," He said only to himself as he traversed it.

Raeseil Malikanah (10:21:17 PM): The cave entrance had strong winds behind it, but, the 'sewer' channel had an almost maze-like cluster of arranged connections between minature rooms following along the shallow water, which was mostly led gradually downward. It was vacent at first, but down more along the way, bits of blue fur were set along the way that the water flowed along. At first it was very sparse, but it gradually got more dense, with large feathers eventually joining the fur, the feathers acting as a more complete coverage along the path sooner than the fur. Distant along the water there were some noises of something echoing out. Like...puppies or something like that.

Don Braxton (10:32:22 PM): The spacious channel did act like a maze of sorts, one that was quite perplexing to the demon. Though he managed to convince himself not to worry, as the astral realm had a funny way of allowing people to find what they needed to regardless of the circumstances. And this seemed to have been one of those times. As he continued to take careful strides, he found something of a "vacant" lot in the channel that went downwards. Along the path he saw...fur? And even more strange he heard something of a whisper? No, a whimper.

"Is anyone there?" He called out. He wasn't loud, but he allowed the channel itself to carry his voice for him.

Raeseil Malikanah (10:43:29 PM): It's as though the man's voice was a gust of wind that blew out a weak candle. Things went silent. His travel stayed quiet for a while, and it got dark, without there being any lights along the tunnel. Well...there were lights, but they seemed broken and smashed in. However...it was a straight path before the stream opened up into a pool that centered a chamber. The water reflected a scatter of little glowing lights, each bit of lighting birght and giving a color not necessarily consistant with the surrounding colors. The multicolored blends seemed to emit from the sides, illuminating the floor off to the sides of the rim of the pool, though the endings of the illuminated areas were diffused inconsistantly into a scatter of other colors...
The colors seemed to dance along the surface more than the water itself wavered. A couple of whimperings sounded.

Don Braxton (10:55:11 PM): Narvi followed the trail, no, it wasn't the trail that caught his interest. It was the sound. The whimpering had piqued his curiosity, not because the sound within itself was foreign to him, but that perhaps what he was meant to find in the realm had something to do with the whimpering itself. Was it a man? A woman? A child? Or even a person at all? With the way the pool reflected the dim overhead lights of the channel and illuminated the water before him, the demon could make out...feathers? If he saw what he thought he did, then perhaps he wouldn't encounter a human being at all. But if that was the case, if he was this close, why wasn't the beast, or whatever it was, moving toward him? Why didn't it attack him? Wasn't a cornered animal the most dangerous one of all? To find the answers to his questions, he called out again.

"Hey, do not be afraid. I come in peace." He said with a smile that revealed his unnaturally sharp incisors.

Raeseil Malikanah (11:07:06 PM): The dancing colors froze, and the whimpering stopped again. The colors suddenly shift away, clustering towards the sides of the pool and leaving the clear water bare in the middle. The white lighs withdrew further to the sides likewise. Narvi was at a good vantage point now to see her.
...or rather, them.

When he was near enough to the chamber, it was then apparent that there were numerous little beings along the left and right sides of the ring-shaped flooring of the room. They were fur covered little beings that seemed hexapedal. The rear legs were long-footed with short toes, but the other two legs were more paw-like and rounded, with stubby toes projected uot of them. They had horns protruding straight up from their heads and had feather coverings all over their backsides. At the hind end a tail split into two. The feathers each had a glowing line along its rachis (the center) per.

Raeseil Malikanah (11:08:11 PM): A lot of the beings were dominately blue, but some had different color patterns. Each of the many small child beings had a string necklace with a glowing fragment of a gem hung from the neck. These creatures were...ainsou hatchlings.

Don Braxton (11:22:25 PM): The whimpering ceased. Silence befell him for what had seemed like an eternity. Although he never got a direct response to his statement, he did feel that someone, or, something, must have heard what he said. The lights that covered the pool seemingly dispersed itself to the sides, which then revealed...fur covered beings? What type of animal did he witness, for he had never seen such a thing in his life. In no way was it as frightening as say, Cerebrus, but as far as uniqueness went, the furry creatues could give the three-headed gurard dog a run for its money.

Their anatomy was something he could never fathom in his wildest dreams. Although he wasn't the creative type to begin with. Their horns interested him, as well as their elegant feathers, but what intrigued him the most was the fact that each of them had a gem fragment attached to their necklace. Was this who he was supposed to find? And if that was the case, then how did they manage to not only obtain a gem, but use it to its full potential?

He reached his hand out toward one in an attempt to pet it, if only to gauge its reaction.

Raeseil Malikanah (11:28:10 PM): They scattered away from the man as he reached out to pet them, evading his hand with fright as though he aimed to strike unto them rather then to pet. As they retreated, they let out frightened yelps and whimperings, which in turn startled the others and made them whimper and whine. Even with the large numbers, they seemed to prefer fearing him. The one that he tried to pet was the one most of all frightened, and frozen stiff with it until his hand was nearly close enough to feel it. The ainsou tried to retreat to the side, but the frantic retreat pulled the feathers and fur off the ground, leaving the slippery floor behind.
The being tripped and with a shriek of panic, it skid across the floor and towards the pool itself!
