Having destroyed her home, Towa trudged across the wasteland, going over her thoughts as the sun began to rise from the east. The sun kissed her pale face, the warmth much welcomed after a night of a cool midnight breeze. Though her mind was more focused than before, the demon still didn't know where she was going. Her end goal had not changed, but her method of achieving it certainly had. The only problem was that she had no idea where to start. Dark grey clouds started to form overhead, with droplets of rain splattering on the ground around her, adding to the demon princess' misery. In the wide open plains, there was no escape from the poor weather, as it quickly worsened. Her skin tight clothes, thankfully, were made of a material, which allowed the water to slide off unhindered. Her hair, on the other hand, was not so lucky, quickly becoming soaked in the sudden storm. Towa did her best to flick it away from her face, but the constant downpour meant that it was becoming an increasing nuisance. Finally, in the distance, Towa saw her salvation from the storm - a small city settlement filled with cover. Lightning flashed across the sky, with thunder crackling moments after it, as the Makaioshin sprinted towards her new destination, wanting to be out of the downpour as quickly as possible. Her superior speed allowed her to cover the distance much quicker than the average person, and after only a few minutes, she had reached the outskirts of the city. Towa took cover under a nearby tree, glad to be out of the rain finally. It was of course not the safest solution, given that lightning could of course strike it, but it mattered not to the demon princess, her only thought was to be dry once more. Her slender fingers ran through her hair, gripping tightly towards the roots in order to squeeze the excess water from her brilliant white hair. Having spent a few minutes gathering her composure, Towa headed into the city, using her arms to shield herself from the rain once more. Another loud boom sounded behind her, as the lightning struck the tree the demon had just used for cover. The ripple effect from the power of the blast created a shockwave, catching the princess off guard and knocking her on to the cold, wet, muddy ground. She slid for what seemed like an age, her face becoming caked in mud, and the rest of her body not faring much better. Hoping that no-one had witnessed her blunder, Towa rose from the ground, trying to wipe off the dirt from her face, but only succeeding in smearing it. The continuous downpour assisted her in washing the mud off, as her rage grew once more. Towa gritted her teeth, wanting to unleash hell on the next person she saw. Despite the situation, Towa used all of her willpower to suppress her anger. With her fists clenched, re-opening the wounds in her palms again as she marched through the city walls. The dirt accumulated inside her self-inflicted cuts, causing them to sting far worse than they had before. Towa did her best to ignore the pain as she finally made it within the settlement. As expected, the streets were empty, bar a few civilians running for cover from the storm. Towa quickly followed suit, taking cover underneath a nearby shelter, as she waited for the storm to die off, though it wasn't showing any signs of letting up. As she stared at the sky, wondering how long she'd have to stand here for, she noticed the sobbing of a woman a few feet away from her, also taking cover. The demon wasn't usually the sort to get involved with the trivial matters of humanity, but something about her crouched down and crying reminded her of the epiphany she had experienced the night before. Plus, it would enable her to waste some time as the downpour continued. "What's wrong with you?" Towa questioned, failing to summon any sort of real empathy in her voice. The sobbing woman took a few moments to register the query before she finally looked up at the demon, her eyes red and puffy, and her expression full of sadness and anger. "Those...those bastards..." The woman began, doing her best to stifle more cries between her words. "They killed him, they killed my husband...I want them dead...DEAD! She cried, tears rolling down her face, now almost blue from the lack of oxygen she'd been breathing through the screams. "Who do you want dead exactly? What happened?" Towa replied, intrigued by the woman's rage and desire for revenge. It was refreshing that she could see such emotion in humanity. The wife of the dead man crawled to her knees and sat beneath Towa. "The blackheart clan, they killed him. They didn't want any competition, so they killed him...bastards! I want them dead...the bastards don't deserve to live..." The woman cried harder as if her body were torn between what she desired and what she thought was right. Clearly she wasn't the kind for revenge, but she had been pushed beyond her limits, much like Towa herself. "...You...you can do it for me. You're not from this world, I can tell...you must be strong enough," The dead man's wife pleaded as her hands grabbed around Towa's legs, holding on to her and sobbing against her leg. Usually, Towa would swipe the offender away at a moment's notice, not wanting her garments to be tainted by the touch of a pathetic human, however, as the demon stared into the streets, watching as the rain finally started to peter out, she realised that she could do the woman a favour. Obviously, it would not be out of the kindness of her heart, but from the thrill of being able to slaughter a clan of wannabes. Not to mention, if they did turn out to be a challenge, it would serve in her purpose to grow stronger. "Please, please, please!" The pathetic human continued to plead. "I want this, I need this...I have money! I don't have a lot, but I can pay you," Towa finally gave into the pleas, pushing the woman aside and on to her back and stepping out into the sunlight again. "Very well, three hundred zeni and I will take them out for you. Just point me in the right direction, and you shall have your vengeance before the day is up," _________________________________ WC - 1,104 |

The woman whimpered as she fell to the floor, giving Towa specific directions to the location of the Blackheart clan. In the meantime, the demon brushed off the now hardened dirt from her skin tight uniform, the material allowing for the dirt to be brushed off with ease. "Vengeance will be yours, and I shall be back for my money before the end of the day. You had better have it ready, otherwise the Blackheart clan will not be the only ones to perish today," As soon as Towa finished her claim, she took off, walking back into the empty streets that were not slowly becoming busy again. The sobbing woman quickly picked herself up as well and rushed home, needing all the time she could get to come up with the funds. Towa slowly made her way through the cobbled streets of the city, calm as the sea, as she allowed for the sun to take its natural course and dry her off. Even with her slow walking pace, it took Towa no time at all to reach the dojo of the Blackheart clan. The wife of Tatsu Markil had not been very detailed in her explanation of the clan, so it came as a surprise to the demon that these thugs had turned out to be martial artists. However, it made no difference to the princess. The demon princess considered her options as she stood outside, staring at the logo of the clan. She could have just destroyed the building in one fell swoop, just as she had done with her own home...though that would be no fun. A part of her wanted to toy with these pesky humans and show them what true villainy really was, what true fear actually felt like. She took a few slow, meaningful steps up the staircase leading to the dojo and entered the threshold to the building. Inside, the walls were plastered with the achievements of the clan through the last however many years they had been together, though it appeared that there had been none for the last few years. Six men stood in the centre of the room, each one halting their motion and staring towards the new entrant. Towa was not unaccustomed to the stares of men, given her seductive form, but this was different. She could feel the hatred radiating from their gaze, as if she had done them a great dishonour by merely entering the dojo. It mattered not to the demon, however, whom returned the hateful stare as she strolled forward, meeting them in the centre. "So...you're the ones are you," The demon princess began, continuing to stare at each and every one of them. "Seem a little pathetic and weak to actually kill anyone. I shouldn't have any trouble dispatching every one of you," Five of the men laughed aloud, a couple of them almost falling over, clearly not impressed by the promises Towa had imposed upon them. One of the men, however, was not amused. He stood, continuing to stare angrily towards the demon. She met his gaze and waltzed forth once more, meeting him head on, mere inches from his body. Judging from his the way he carried himself with such esteem and confidence, he was clearly the leader of the clan. The other five ceased laughing and surrounded Towa, ready to pounce on her at a moment's notice. "Do you really think you have the power to stop us?" The Blackheart leader spoke, his voice carrying as much confidence as his posture. "Our power continues to grow every day, we shall win the next tournament and prove that we are the best. Tatsu Markil wasn't able to stop us, and neither shall you," Towa couldn't help but snigger to herself, much to the anger of the clan, as she listened to the man's ridiculous speech. "If you think you are really that good, then prove it..." Towa hopped back and took up a fighting stance, beckoning them in. Two of the men leaped into action immediately, charging towards Towa at a rather...slow pace. It seemed like an age before they finally reached the demon princess, but as soon as they did, they were swiftly met with two quick strikes. Both men fell to the floor immediately, blood pouring from their chests profusely as Towa retracted her hands from their insides. The other men couldn't move, astonished by the feats of strength they had just witnessed. Towa laughed as she shook the blood from her hands. The maniacal laugh increased the fear in the gentlemen as they slowly backed away, almost tripping over themselves. The demon waltzed forward, raising her hand up towards the men whom had previously mocked her. "I guess today just isn't your day," Towa taunted as four beams expelled from her hands, ending their lives swiftly. __________________________________________________ WC - 819 TWC - 1,923 |
