"Is there anything else you would like, prince Goten?"

Goten turned his head toward the voice to see a stunning blond holding what a huge plate filled with a mountain of meat. The woman had long blond hair that reached all the way down the low of her back. She wore a sexy bunny outfit
along with the ears and little cotton tail.

Goten swallowed the chunk of meat he had in his mouth and nodded his head, signaling the woman to place the plate down in front of him. His eyes widen and his mouth watered as he saw the huge amount of meat that was placed in front of him. Without a second thought, his right hand reached of a piece of chicken leg and throw it into his mouth. He barely had time to swallow before his left hand picked up a piece of ham and throw it into his mouth as well.

His hands were a blur as they worked tirelessly, picking up any piece of meat they could find and shoving it into his waiting mouth. His body worked in perfect unison. Grabbing, biting, swallowing and throwing the bones were all done in perfect time as to not disturb the flow. The mountain of food slowly started to shrink, and it wasn't long before what was once a huge pile of mouth watering food to become an empty plate. Goten slumped back in his throne and rubbed his full belly.

"Ohhh my handsome prince. Can we please serve you next?"

Goten lifted his head from the purple cushion that was the head piece of his throne and turned to look at the woman that spoke. She looked almost identical to the woman from before, wearing the same bunny outfit with the ears and small cotton tail. The only difference was that her hair color was black where the other was blond. Behind the woman stood two other girls, both wearing the same bunny custom as well, only these girls looked a little younger then the woman in front of them and had their hair tied in a pony tail. The girls looked like twins, the only difference between them was that one of them had pink hair and the other had blue hair. Both of the girls held a big palm-leaf fan while the woman that stood in front of them held a cluster of grapes.

Goten smiled and signaled them to come forward and laid his head back on the cushion. The two girls flanked him from both sides and started to wave the palm-leave fans slowly, generating a cool wind that felt good on Goten's skin. The older woman moved behind him, plucking a grape from the cluster and slowly lowered it toward his mouth, waiting until he opened it before letting it drop.

Goten closed his eyes, enjoying the cool breeze and the sweet taste of the grapes. His whole body relaxed as his body started getting into a slow rhythm of chowing and swallowing. Goten opened his mouth, awaiting for a new grape to drop when he suddenly heard a noise coming from the side. He jerked forward and opened his eyes just as the grape was dropped, hitting his shoulder and bouncing to the floor only to stop at the feet of the source of that noise.

Goten blinked twice as he saw the person standing in front of him. He didn't really understand what his girlfriend was doing there, after all, they were only scheduled on for later, but he was always glad to see Valese.

"Hey Vee, how did you get here?" Asked the half-saiyan, using his nickname for her.

"Pick up Goten," Replied the brunette as she looked down at the grape that laid to her feet.

"Ummm... It's right there babe.. Can't you pick it up?"

"Pick up, Goten."

"But babe.."

"Pick up, Goten."

"Ok. Give me one minute."

"Pick up, Goten. Pick up, Goten. Pick up, Goten."

"Fine, fine. I'll pick it up, I'll pick it up," he mumbled into his pillow as he turned around in his bed.

The afternoon sun shone through the half close drapes, illuminating half of the teen's room. Goten turned around a few more times in his bad before slowly opening his eyes, rubbing them with his right hand until every thing started to come into focus. Even as his eyes got adjusted to the light, his hand already started moving itself toward his night stand, where the voice of his girlfriend kept asking him to pick up. After a few minutes of moving his hand along the top of his night stand, his fingurs finally touched his phone. He quickly grabbed it, sliding his fingurs on the touch screen to answer the call and then placed the phone next to his ear.

"Vee?" Goten let out softly, his voice still groggy as he was still not fully awake.

"Hey babe, Your not asleep are you? We have plans to go to the carnival today remember? When are you coming to pick me up?"

"I umm..," Goten looked around, trying to find his alarm clock to see what the time was. "I'll be there at... Ummm," He said as he jumped from the bad and started throwing the cloths on the floor to the side, trying to find his clock in all the mass. It took him a few more moments of searching, while mumbling on the phone, to finally remember that he doesn't own a clock, and that he has one in his phone. He asked Valese to hold on one moment as he took the phone from his ear and turned it around, taking a look at the top right of the phone to find out the time.

"THREE O'CLOCK???" Goten yelled as he stared in disbelief at the phone in his hand.

"What?? Honey are you there? I'm waiting for you.. You said you'll pick me up. Are you coming or not?" He heard his girlfriends voice coming from the phone, her voice showing a little bit of irritation.

"Of course I'm coming Vee, give me twenty minutes," Said Goten as he quickly picked up some cloths from his closet. "Love ya babe, got to go get ready."

With that he hanged up the phone, throw it on the bed, along with his cloths, and jumped into the shower.

Twenty minutes later he was already outside her house with a big flower bouquet.

Goten hit the gas as the light turned green, turning left at the junction and making his way toward the carnival down town. He has overslept, meaning that they will probably miss out on most of the events, but he at least hoped that they would manage to make it before the Ferris Wheel closes.

Goten and Valese went to the carnival on their first date. It was a year ago to the exact date. The had their first kiss on the Ferris Wheel and it kinda became their place. Since then, every time it would came to town they would get tickets and go to the carnival.

Goten didn't really like the carnival. It wasn't that he hated the place, it was ok, he just didn't really feel any attraction to all the events and game stands, they never gave him any challenge and he found himself feeling bored after a while. The only reason he agreed to go was because he knew how much Valese loved the carnival. I was worth it just to look at her as she walked around in awe, looking at anything and everything, running from one stand to the next, hugging him as he wins her one stuffed bear after the other.

The only thing that he actually liked in the carnival was the Ferris Wheel. The couple had a tradition to get on the wheel at sunset and watch the sun as it set. He especially liked it when the Ferris Wheel operator started letting people out one cart at a time, giving the other carts a few moments where they were suspended, un-moving. It was at that very moment, a year ago, when they were suspended at the very top of the Ferris Wheel, that Goten leaned and kissed her. It was a magical moment for both of them, as they set there kissing in front of the sunset, suspended tens of feet above the ground. Ever since then, when ever they got on the Ferris Wheel, Goten would tip the operator and ask that he makes sure to stop the Ferris Wheel when they where at the very top.

As they neared the parking lot outside the Carnival area, Goten let out a small prayer, asking any god that will listen to let them make it on time. He knew how much Velese waited for today, seeing as she made sure to write the date down in her journal as well as at three different places in his apartment.

For the first half the ride she wouldn't stop yelling at him. Telling him how much it disappointed her that he was so late and that he knew how much she has waited for this day and Goten spend the first half of the ride apologizing again and again. He was finally saved when one of her friends called her, starting a long conversation that lasted until now. Goten hopped that it would take her mind off of him for a while, as he knew that she would calm down the moment the step into the Carnival area.

Goten cut to the left lane, passing the truck that was in front of him and immediately cut back to the right lane to pass the car that was in front of him in the left lane. He looked at the speed he was driving, realizing that he was probably driving too much over the speed limit. He was about to decide to slow down a little bit when the light in front of him started to change. Without thinking about it twice, Goten slammed the gas, hearing the engine roaring as the car picked up speed. He saw the light about to turn red as he neared the junction. The car in front of him stepped on the breaks, forcing him to steer hard to the left to avoid smashing into it. Goten entered the junction a second before the light turned red, holding the gas with his left foot to make sure he crossed it as fast a possible, ignoring the hunks and yells that were thrown his way.

Goten slowed back down to the speed limit as soon as he put the junction behind him. He took a quick look to his right and saw that Valese was still on the phone, talking to her friend as though nothing has happened. He took a deep breath and let go of the gear shift, placing his hand on her leg. Valese turned her head toward him and smiled, then turned her head back to look out the window, her voice giving away her excitement as she noticed the big red tents of the Carnival in the distance.

Goten made the left turn into the big parking lot, stopping at the entrance to pay the parking fee. When they first went to the Carnival, he was shocked at how much it cost to park there. But as he continuously took out his wallet inside the Carnival area, he found out that the parking was nothing compared to the amount he had to pay for food and the entertainment. By now he was used to taking out a large amount of cash before taking Valese out to the Carnival.
"Hey brit, sorry but Vees gotta go. She'll call you back later," he said on the phone after he snatched it from Valese's grasp. He has already parked the car and even gave her a few seconds before realizing that if he did not interfere they would probably spend the rest of the day in the car.

He ended the call before the girl on the other line had a chance to say anything and handed the phone back to his girlfriend, wearing his most charming smile as she snatched it back with a glare.

"We're here." He pointed to the entry way that lead to the Carnival area, where people could be still seen trying to buy tickets.

Valese expression change in a hundred and eighty degrees as her frawn turned into a huge smile. She quickly took off her seat-belt and got out of the vehicle, Goten followed suit. Goten took her hand as they both took a moment to look at the sight before them, which was only intensified by the sounds and voices that came from within. Goten took out the tickets he bought in advance and held it in front of her.

"Lets go."

Goten handed the tickets over to the ticket taker and waited until he ripped the tickets and handed him back the stubs. He and Valese waited for more then half an hour in the line and he could tell that she was starting to become impatient. They spent most of the time, while they were waiting in line, reminiscing about past Carnival visits, talking and laughing about particular events they remembered fondly.

Goten placed the stubs in the inner pockets of his jacket and took Valese hand as they passed the ticket taker. They stopped by the entrance way to pick up their free tokens before going in. Most carnival today worked by selling tickets as an entrance fee and providing some tokens. Mostly everything inside the Carnival area cost some tokens, and who ever ran out could always buy more at the many token stands around.

They were now entering the crowded area of the Carnival and he knew that if he lost her he would probably spend the rest of their time there looking for her. He already ruined half of the day by over sleeping and picking her up late, he was sure that he would get the blame if they were to separate, no matter whose fault it really was.

They moved through the crowded area holding hands and looking at the stands on either side. They usually took their time to get to know the area before they started participating in any of the activities, taking their time to see what they want to do and what not, but a quick look at the clock told them that they didn't have the time for this today.

Goten stopped walking as he spotted an ice cream stand. It was starting to get late but the sun was still visible in the night sky, beating down on the people below. Valese looked at him, waiting for him to tell her why he stopped. Goten nudged his head toward the ice cream stand and she followed his direction, smiling as she realized his intention.

They pushed their way through the crowd until they were standing in front of the ice cream vendor. Valese bent down to check out the flavors as Goten took out some cash and handed it over to the seller, asking for a two cones, each with one scoop of ice cream, one chocolate and one vanilla. The man behind the stand handed him the scoops and took the money happily.

Goten waited for a few seconds as Valese kept looking at the flavors. Finally she stood up.

"I'll take the choc..." She froze as she saw him holding the chocolate ice cream.

"Sure babe, here you go," He said as he handed it over to her.

"What if I would have chosen a different flavor," she asked as she took it from his hand.

Goten just smiled back. She never chooses a different flavor, that was once of the things he knew by now. Every time they would go out for ice cream, she would stare at all the different flavors for a few minutes as though there was a chance she would choose something else, and every time she would ask for chocolate flavor at the end. So to save time, Goten decided to bet the sure thing and just get her the chocolate ice cream.

They continue to move through the crowd, licking the ice cream away and looking around at the different activities as they pass them. Goten led her toward a water fountain as they finished eating so that they could both wash their sticky hands. After they were done washing their hands, they both took a small sip of water before continuing forward. The continued on the path they were headed and it didn't take long before Valese pointed toward one of the stands, pulling him toward it as she increased her speed.

It was a stand of one of the games that Goten was good at, which was probably why she pulled him toward it.
The game was very simple. Four people from the crowd set down on stool chairs and grabbed the water gun that was in front of them. On the back side of the stand, there where four cardboard cars stuck to a pole. On the bottom of the pole there was a circle and the competitors needed hit it with water to make the car go up the pole. The closer to the center of the circle the water hit, the faster the car went up the pole. The first car to cross the finish line, which was located at the top part of the pole, won the race and earned its percipient a prize, a big stuffed animal.

The point of the game, as Goten saw it, was to hit the circle at dead center and then just keep your hand steady to make sure the water keeps hitting that point. Thanks to Goten's abilities, doing this was a piece of cake. He has never lost a game, which made Valese really impressed even though Goten told her that it was no big deal.

They reached the stand and waited while the present contest was being played out. There was no real line for this game, who ever managed to sit down got to play. Goten already knew, by looking around at the people that stood before the stand, that he would have to wait a few rounds until he was close enough to one of the sits before he could try to sit down. It didn't matter though, each round of the game was over pretty quick. Thankfully, the round was over the moment someone reached the top, meaning that it only required one person with steady hands to be make it a fast round.

Goten waited as a few rounds went by, making his was forward every time. He made sure to hold Valese hand's through the entire waiting period so that he would not lose her in the thick of the crowd. Once he was close enough to a sit, he positioned himself so that he could easily sit down once the guy that was currently occupying it got up. And just as he planned, the moment the guy got up he was already sitting down on the stool, Valese's hands placed on his shoulder and her body pressed against his back.

He took out two tokens from his pocket and placed them on the table in front of him, watching from the corner of his eyes as the rest of his competition did the same. The four of them placed their hands on the water gun, waiting for the goofy racing sound to play, which singled that the race started. Goten arched his head back, giving his girlfriend a quick look before lowering his head back, focusing on his objective.

Goten's finger squeezed the little trigger of the water gun as soon as he heard the sound that signaled the start of the round. The water shot out of the "barrel" of the gun and hit the circle square in the middle, pushing his green car up before any of the others even pressed on their trigger. The round was over extremely fast, with Goten's green car crossing the finish line before any of the other cars were even past the mid way point. The sound that ends the round burst through the speakers as the green car crossed the finish line. Goten let go of the gun and got up, turning toward his lady, waiting until she choose which stuffed animal she wanted to take. The moment he got up and turned around she was already pointing toward a stuffed lion, which the stand operator handed her with a smile, making a remark about how Goten was the fastest shooter he has ever seen.

Goten smiled and thanked him, then took a hold of Valese's hand and took her away from the crowd and back toward the main path. They both walked along the path of the carnival, marveling at the sites around them as Valese held her new stuffed animal in her right hand.

They passed clowns and magicians, bearded ladies and men on stilts, Making sure to stop every once in a while to view a show or take a picture. They laughed as a clown took a pie to the face, and marveled as a magician picked the right card out of the deck, or in Goten's case, pretended to marvel at the scene as his eyes were too fast for the magician's hands to fool.

It was already starting to get dark as the couple reached the last area of the Carnival they have yet to reach. It was the area where the Ferris Wheel was located. They both stopped as they entered the area and looked at the big wheel in front of them, and then looked down at the huge line that was at the bottom.

"Maybe we should wait a while for the line to become shorter," Valese suggested as she looked at the half-saiyan next to her.

"Guess so.." Goten replied, his voice hinting a bit of disappointment. He was really looking forward to getting on it.

Valese took his hands in hers and stood on her tiptoes to give him a soft kiss. She smiled at him as she pulled away and he gave her one of his famous goofy smiles in return. Both Goten and Valese stood there hugging, staring into each other's eyes.

"Come one, come all. Just 30 seconds in the grip of the champ and you can earn a grand prize. Who has the guts to get face the great Mohando in the grip of death?"

The loud, flamboyant voice broke the couple out of their trance, making them move away from each other and turn toward the area where the voice was coming from. They saw a big crowd huddled around an area not far away from them, though they couldn't see what was inside that area as the crowd was too thick.

Goten grabbed Valese's hand and they started to walk toward the group of people, moving past as many people as they could to try and get a glimpse of the event that was transpiring behind the wall of people. The closer they got to the front of the line, the harder it was for them to find somewhere to push through. As they got near, they heard the crowd in front of them cheering and then they heard the same voice, saying the same thing they heard before.

They finally broke through the front line to see one of the biggest man they have ever seen sitting in front of a small round table. Standing before him was a muscular guy with a tank-top, holding his right arm in his left hand. The guy standing, who seemed much smaller then they one who was sitting, seemed like he was in pain and the way he was holding his arms made it seems like that was where the source of the pain was originating from.

"Ohhh, what bad luck. You made it for 28 seconds with the champ. Only two more seconds and you would have earned the grand prize."

The voice belonged to a small, round man who stood to the side. He was wearing a fine Italian suite and expensive looking sun glasses. His hair, or what remained of it, was already mostly grey. The small man moved toward the standing guy in front of him and started clapping his hands.

"Give this brave soul a big round of applause ladies and gentleman. He has faced the beast and almost conquered it," he said as he pointed to the mountain of a man that was still sitting at the table. "Just two more seconds and the grand prize was yours," he seemed to be reminding the crowd. "Is there any one out here who dares challenge the great warrior in a battle of man? Just twenty Zeni and you are in for a shot at the big prize."

Goten was confused. How could they have a battle in such a small space.

"Hey. What's going on? Where exactly does this battle take place?" he asked the nearest person to him.

"It's not really a battle, he is just exaggerating. It's just an arm wresting contest." Said the young boy that he asked. "But don't bother. You see the big guy sitting at the table," he pointed toward the huge pack of muscels sitting at the table. "He is just playing with his competition. He always waits until the last second and then smashes the other guys hand into the table."

Goten nodded as he was starting to understand the picture.

"So basically, you pay twenty Zeni and you get to arm wrestle this guy?" he asked.

"Yes, and if you manage to survive thirty seconds without losing then you get a sort of big prize."

A big smile crept onto Goten's face, this just seemed so perfect. He took a step forward and all eyes turned toward him. He could see the big man sitting on the chair in front of him smile as though he found a new pry, which only made Goten even happier as the thought of the look on the guys face as he overpowered him crossed his mind. He was about to say something when Valese grabbed him from behind and pulled him back.

"What you think your doing?" she whispered angrily. "Do you see the size of that guy?"

"Ohh come on, it's just for fun. It's a Carnival right? I'll be fine, don't worry," Goten said as he gently released himself from her grasp and moved forward once again.

"I'd like to give it a try." He said as he took out twenty Zeni from his wallet, luckily he still had some left after all the tokens and food he bought.

"Ohhh. What do we have here ladies and gentleman. Why it seems that another has come to try and take the crown. This brave soul fears not the mighty beast that is in front of him and has come to try and take the gold." The small man yelled to the crowd, trying to get them riled up. "Does he have what it takes to over come the man who is undefeated? or will he end up like the rest?"

Goten took a seat in front of the huge man and placed his elbow on the table, his hand open, awaiting the big man to grab it. The huge guy in front of him gave him a wicked smile and placed his elbow on the table next to his, grabbing the half-saiyan's hand. Goten arm looked really small compared to the huge man that set before him, and goten could feel him trying to squeeze his hand. A small look of disbelief crossed his big face as he noticed that Goten didn't even flinch.

The small guy walked over to them and placed one of his hand over their clenched hands and one hand over a digital clock that was placed at the edge of the table.

"Warriors get ready... On my mark. GO!!" He yelled as he lifted his hand from their clenched hands and simultaneously clicked on the button at the top of the clock that started a count down from 30 seconds.

At first Goten didn't feel any pressure from the big guy at all, though the big guys face seemed as though he was trying hard.

'What an actor,' he thought as he looked at the big guy before him.'He is putting on quite the show here.'

Goten started putting in a little pressure and immediately felt his opponent pushing back, but only enough to bring their hands back to the middle. They kept this up for 25 seconds. Goten would put some pressure to move the big guys hand slightly down, and then the big guy would push back to the middle. The crowd cheered and started counting down as the clock showed only ten seconds.

At three seconds to go, Goten saw his opponent lower his head to look him dead in the eyes and smile before he felt big pressure from the man. The cocky look on the big guy's face quickly turned to that of shock as he realized that no matter how much pressure he used, he could not move Goten's hand an inch.

Goten smiled at his opponent and was about to press his opponent's hand into the table when he caught the sight of his girlfriends face. Valese was looking at him with a shocked look on her face as well, a look that currently belonged to the entire audience.

'Damn it, I forgot that I can't show off my powers here,' he thought to himself as the realization of what was happening dawned upon him. Quickly he let go of the control he had over his arm and allowed the big guy to slam his hand on the table.

The buzzer sounded just as Goten's hand hit the table. Goten looked down at his hand and then looked up at the big guy. He was wearing a smile, Goten could see, but his eyes still showed a bit of shock as well as some fear behind him. Goten got up left the table, moving back towards Valese whose face now turned from shocked to worried.

"Are you ok honey? Did he hurt you."

"I'm ok, I'm ok. He was such a nice guy, letting me survive all the way to the end."

"Really?" Valese replied. "It seemed like he was trying his hardest and it didn't even effect you."

"What? Really? No way..." Goten let out a nervous laugh. "Did you see the size of him.. Come on, there is no way... Me? against him... This is the carnival, he was just playing around. He he."

Goten watched nervously as Valese eyed him suspiciously and let out a sigh of relief after she finally shrugged and turned around to leave the area. Goten took a quick look back to the big guy on the chair and saw him whispering something to the small guy as they both started at him leaving. The crowd parted way as the couple passed them, still trying to figure out what it is they saw.

"Ohh, look. There is almost no line at the Ferris Wheel, lets go." Valese yelled with joy as she grabbed Goten's hand and they both started walking fast toward the big mechanical wheel.

They made their way toward the Ferris wheel, moving past many different custom stands along the way. The sun has already set and the Carnival was illuminated with different color lights. Everything looked different then it did when the sun was high in the sky. Every stand looked like a show of dancing colors and every game board lit up with hundreds of small lights every time someone won. But the most impressive thing by far the the Ferris wheel. The big structure was so illuminated it seemed as though it was glowing in the dark. Each cart was glowing in a different color, while the metal core had thousands of light bulbs on it that turned on and off, making it look like the light was moving around from one cart to the next.

The couple continue to make their way down the road that lead to the big wheel, crossing into a big area with a stage in the middle. As they crossed the wide area, a man walked on to the stage, holding a microphone in his hands. Goten and Valese stopped moving as they saw a crowd of people start entering the area, many of them whispering something among them. The man on stage brought the mic close to his mouth.

"Ladies and gentleman, thank you all for coming." His voice seemed to be coming out from every direction at once.

Goten looked around and saw that almost every light pole had a speaker at the top and that this man's voice was coming out of all of them. Beside the speakers, Goten could see that televisions were being brought out so that people who were too far from the stage could see what was happening.

"We hope that you have enjoyed the Carnival. You can be sure that we have done our best to entertain you this day," he said and was awarded with a round of applause by the people around the stage and throughout the area.

"Now it is time for the final part of the day, before we close the doors and bid a you all farewell." As he said this, two people came on stage holding something that was covered with a cloth of some sort,"We will now commence with the lottery drawing." He pointed toward the two men who stood next to his with the mystery thing they held in their hands, and they both grabbed a part of the cloth and lifted it to reveal a glass box filled with Zeni.

The crowd went livid with excitement. Everyone started to talk at once, creating a loud, Incomprehensible noise as everyone around the area of the Carnival stared at the box filled with money.

"No additional fee is needed to join the lottery drawing," Explained the man on stage as he signaled again for someone to come on stage. "Please take out your ticket stub and look at the back of the ticket. Some of you might have noticed that there is a number printed on it."

Goten took out the two ticket stubs that were in his pocket, handing one to Valese and they both looked at the number they had printed on the back of the stub.

Two young women came on stage dragging what seemed to be a wheeled lottery machine. It was round, transparent, plastic circular box with a lot of colored balls in side it. Inside the box, making it from inside the pool of balls all the way to the top of the box, and then coming out of the box, was a tube. At the end of the tube was a sort of Rail about a feet in length. The two women rolled the device to the center of the stage and the man on stage walked over to the device.

"I will draw five balls from this machine," he announced. "Each ball has a number. Who ever has the ticket stubs with all the numbers in the order they were drawn will win the prize." He snapped his fingers and one of the women pressed something on the machine and the balls in the container stared moving around.

The balls kept jumping around inside the box until finally one ball was sucked into the tub and flew up toward the rail, landing on it and rolling down the rail until it stopped at the end. The number that was shown on the ball was five.

"The first number is the number five ladies and gentleman," said the man on stage

Goten stared at his stub, half disappointed that his stub did not start with a five. He knew that the chance of him winning were close to zero, but still, he did at least hope to get the first number right. He Looked to his left and saw the same expression of his girlfriend's face.

"Guess we're not lucky ahh." He said with a smile, holding up his stub so she can see his number.

Valese nodded and held up her stub toward Goten as well, showing him that she missed as well. Goten took the stub from her and placed both of them back in his pocket before turning to look back toward the stage as another ball was being drawn. This time it was the number eight.

"Hey Vee, the line at the Ferris Wheel is empty, lets go now before this is over and a line forms again," he told his girlfriend as he noticed that everyone from the Ferris Wheel line came out to watch the lottery drawing.

She smiled and agreed with him, grabbing his hand as he started making his was toward the Ferris Wheel, not an easy task to accomplish as he was surrounded a by a large number of people. Most of these people were too busy looking at the stage to pay them any attention but everyone in a while there was this guy who cursed at them as they pushed past him.

They made it half the way through the plaza when the last number was drawn. As soon as the man on stage said which number it was, a scream was emitted from the audience not far away from where the couple were standing. Goten turned toward the sound to see a woman screaming and holding her hand up, waving her ticket stub in the air, her face showing portraying a look of happiness as her other hand was pointing at herself. While the woman was clearly happy, a few grunts could be heard from around the area, probably from people who were close to winning before the last number was pulled.

"Looks like we got a winner folks," said the man. "Come up here darling," he told the woman as he signaled her to come up stage.

The woman got up on the stage as the crowd clapped their hands, allowing her to pass by. The man who draw the lottery balls extended his hand toward her and helped her climb up the stairs leading to the stage, smiling at her as they made it to the center.

"Show me your ticket stub please madam," the man said as he opened the palm of his hand, waiting as she lowered the stub into his awaiting hand. The man looked at the number on the stub and then looked at the five balls that rested on the rail above the ball machine. He then turned his head back toward the woman smiled a big smile, before handing the stub to one of the women who brought the machine.

"What is your name madam?" he asked before moving the mic from his face toward hers.

"It's Clarice," she barely managed to say from the excitement, her voice breaking every second.

"Well Clarice, congratulation. You are our big winner." He said as he pointed toward the glass container that was full of money, which was on the back part of the stage.

"Tell me Clarice, what are you going to do with all that cash?

"She is going to give it to me." The voice came from the right side of the stage.

Everyone's attention shifted to the area where the voice came from. From behind the curtains came out a man wearing a black mask that covered his entire face, leaving only his eyes visible. The man wore a black T-shirt beneath a black biker jacket and held a hand gun that was pointing at the woman who stood on the stage.

He moved slowly toward the two people on the front stage, while the eyes of everyone were fixed on him. He made his way to the man that stood by the woman and took the mic from his hand, with no retaliation on the other's part. He smiled at the man, though it was not visible because of the mask he wore, and took a few steps backward, making his way to ward the glass container with the money.

"You guys have been wonderful," he said to the crowd, looking at their shocked faces as he kept the gun pointing toward the man and woman on stage. "All you have to do is stay as you are now, as I take this and leave." He pointed toward the case filled with money. "As long as you stay quit, no one will get hurt. But if you make even the slightest noise, my friends among you will make sure you regret it."

The masked man waited a few seconds as if to make sure that the entire crowd understood his instructions and would follow it. After a few seconds of quit, he concluded that they have gotten his massage and turned around toward the case with the money.
The moment his fingers touched the glass case, a shout was emitted from the audience. This time it was a shout of pure fear. The masked guy turned around fast, but before he could do or say anything, all hell broke loose.

As if the scream broke the crowd out of a deep trance, the entire crowd started coming to life all at once. People started screaming and yelling, pushing and shoving each other, trying to make it to the exit as fast as possible. Panic was clearly taking over as the plaza turned into a zone of complete chaos. People were shoving each other, throwing people to the floor and climbing over them, everything they could to make it to safety.

"EVERYONE FREEZE," came the yell from the masked man, followed by the sound of gun shots as he aimed the gun upward to the sky and let fly three bullets. "AND I MEAN NOW!" he continued as he lowered his gun back down and pointed it aimlessly toward the moving crowd.

If the masked man yelling and the firing of the gun had any effect on the crowd, it was the exact opposite of what he wanted. It seemed like it only throw the crowd into an even bigger panic as people now started climbing on one another, screaming and cursing at each other to move out of the way.

Goten pulled Valese close to him and hugged her close, making sure no one that passed them was able to touch her. As he pulled her close he could feel her shaking with fear as she buried her face into his shoulder. The though of her being scared made him instantly angry, but he forced himself to calm down. This was a time to think rationally, he could not allow himself to get too emotional.

He lifted her a little off the ground while still hugging her and made his way toward an area in the outskirts of the plaza he saw was empty. It was a place on the opposite part of the exit, which means that in order to reach it he had to move against the stream of people that were making their way to the exit. He moved quickly past all the people who ran toward him, using one hand to hold his girlfriend while the other he used to move the people aside gently but firmly. He looked around as he made his way toward the side of the plaza and spotted a few masked man in the audience, pushing and hitting as many people as they could, probably trying to forcefully control the chaos.

He reached the empty area and gently pushed Valese into it, making sure that the push moved her as deep as possible into the area and away from the crowd. She turned toward him, looking at him with confusion across her wet face. He hated doing this to her, but he had to get away from her to be able to deal with the robbers, and he had to do it before someone got seriously hurt.

He let go of the control he had over his body and allowed the crowd to start pushing him backward, all the while flopping his hands and acting as though he was trying to move forward.

"GOTEN," she screamed and started moving forward, her hand extended as though trying to grab him and pull him to safety.

"Stop Valese, don't come forward, stay where you are," he yelled to her, trying his best to keep his voice calm though loud. "I will find a way to you, just make sure to stay as far away from the crowd as possible, try to find a place to hide, please."

She froze in place when she heard him use her full name. She knew that he only used her full name when he was absolutely serious. She dropped her hand slowly, tears still falling from her eyes. It killed him to see her like this, but he knew that it was for the best.

He kept up the act until he could no longer see her. He was now in the depths of the crowd crowd and was still being pushed backwards. He let the people do as they wished while he took another look toward the stage. The lead mask guy was now shouting instructions to his fellow men, who seemed to stop trying to fight the people and were starting to make their way to the stage. It seems that they gave up on handling the people and were now trying to make their escape.

The leader grabbed the glass case with his free hand while turning the gun toward the Carnival employee that only a few minutes before was reading the lottery numbers to the happy crowd. He made his way toward him while yelling at him to tell him where the different exits were located.

Goten knew that he didn't have much time before the robbers started making their getaway. He quickly made his way toward one of the custom stands he saw with Valese when they just entered the area, using his speed to get there in the blink of an eye. He knew that he could risk it as there was too much chaos for people to start overthinking the blur and wind that just went by them.

Goten went behind the empty stand and quickly grabbed one of the customs, making sure that it had a mask part so that he would not be recognized. Who knew if there were people he knew present at the Carnival. He made sure one last time that the mask was held firmly before launching into the air.

He landed on the left side of the stage with a big thud, cracking the wooden floor of the stage a little, slowly getting up from the crouched position he landed in. The masked gang leader turned around quickly when he heard the thud, quickly pointing the gun toward Goten while a his expression quickly changed from surprised to amused as he looked him over.

"And who, or what, the hell are you supposed to be? A lion or something?" The masked man said with a hint of amusement in his voice, his lips cracking into a smile.

"A lion?" Goten replied, a little confused at the masked guy question. He turned his head toward the glass case and checked out his reflection and noticed that the mask he put on was a lion mask. The mask covered the top part of his face, leaving his mouth and lower part of the cheeks exposed. The top part of the mask, the part above his eyes, had a wig attached to it that looked like the mane of a lion.

Goten turned back around to face the masked man, taking a short glimps toward the plaza to see what was happening there. The crowd was already half gone, leaving a big part of the plaza empty, allowing the rest of the masked guy gang to easily make it to the stage. They climbed the stairs, each holding a gun in his hand and pointing it toward the masked lion.

"Yes, I am Lion,,,o.... Yes, that's it,. I am Liono." Goten told the band of robbers as they regrouped in the middle of the stage. "And I am here to stop your wrong doings. Put the money down and leave and no harm will come to you," he said in his best imitation of the "Hero" voice he could come up with.

The distant yelling of the crowd was still heard from the distance but on stage it was dead quiet. The group of robbers looked at the masked lion like he was crazy, disbelief written all over their face. Then they all started laughing out in unison, holding their bellies with their free hand and smashing their feet into the wooden floor, their laughter echoing around the plaza.

"Ohh.. Ha Ha... This is too good... Oh may god, I can't breath... Ha Ha.. He wants to hurt us... Ha ha ha ha.. You heard it guys.. He will hurt us.. Hahahahaaha." The leader let out between fits of laughter.

Goten could feel his face getting hot as he took the insult in. He looked to the far side of the plaza and saw that many of the people who still didn't make it to the exit were not turning around to see what was happening on the stage. He turned around and looked toward the area where he left Valese and was happy to see here standing in the shadows behind an empty stand, looking up at the stage.

Goten turned around and started walking toward the gang.

"If you do not do as I say then I must take actions into my own hands. Beware evil doers, for I will not allow you to hurt anyone else." He said, trying to say as many tawdry superhero themed words as he could think of.

The group stopped laughing and picked up their arms to point their guns toward Goten again, their face having a more serious look to it. The leader of the group put the gun into its holster, feeling safe now that he was surrounded by his fellow men, and shifted the glass case to his other hand.

"One more step punk, and we will make a lion carpet out of you." He warned the in coming hero, pointing toward him with his free hand.

Goten didn't stop, he just let out a smirk that was aimed at the leader of the group and kept going forward, his head held high.

"Fine. If that's how you want to play it. It's your funeral." He yelled at the half-saiyan, apparently angry that someone dared challenge him. "Guys. Waste this idiot."

The rest of the gang looked doubtfully at their leader, as if not sure how wise it was to kill the man before them. But one look from the gang boss and they all cocked their guns and started emptying their clips at the lion masked man in front of them.

Goten moved his hands faster then the group in front of him could follow, grabbing each bullet as it got near him and dropped it on the ground. The sound of the guns going off made the crowd at the end of the plaza start moving back toward the entrance again, but they froze when they saw that the bullets simply dropped down without hitting the masked hero.

It didn't take too long before all the bullets were fired from the gun and the silence returned to the plaza. Goten started moving forward again, smiling as he saw the complete disbelief that was written all over the faces of the gang member.

"You," said the leader as he pointed toward one of the gang members. "Go get this guy," he yelled while using his thumb to point to ward Goten.

The gang member he pointed at took out a big knife and charged forward, yelling as he lifted the knife into the air and brought it down toward's the hero's face.

Goten stopped moving as he saw the the guy charging him with the knife. He waited until the very last second before side stepping to the left, watching as the knife cut through the air where he was standing just a second ago. Goten then twisted around on his left leg while bringing his right leg toward his stomach. He then thrust his leg out and kicked the gang member right in the gut, sending him flying from the stage and into the floor. Goten tried his best not to hit him too hard, making the guy bounce only through half the plaza before stopping, laying un-moving, face down in the dirt.

Goten heard the gasp from the crowd, as they took in what they just saw. He looked at rest of the gang members while extending his arm toward the on looking crowd, his hand clenched into a fist. He then lifted his thumb, giving the crowd a thumbs up.

The crowed started clapping and cheering, turning toward one another and talking about the mystery man that appeared out of nowhere.

"All of you.. Get him... NOW," the leader yelled out in fury, signaling his men to mover forward with exaggerated movement of his hands, the glass case with the cash now laid at his feet.

The rest of the gang members took out their knifes and started running toward Goten, holding their knifes above their hands as they let out a sort of battle cry. Goten didn't wait til the reached him this time. He crouched down and pushed himself forward with his feet, making his way to the first masked robber and punching him in the gut. He then twisted around, bringing his elbow up to smash into another gang member's face. He then somersaulted over two gang member, watching from the air as their forward knife thrust hit nothing but air. He landed behind them and grabbed their heads, bashing them together and watching as they plummeted to the floor.

Goten took care of the rest of the gang members fast, enjoying the cheer of the crowd as he watched all the gang members but he leader laying unconscious on the floor. He then turned around to face the leader and saw him holding the announcer guy in front of him, his gun held against his head.

"Back off, or this guy here is dead. You hear me hero? DEAD," said the leader with rage emitting from his voice.

Goten brought his hand up. clenching the bottom three fingers while his thumb was pointing upward and his index finger pointing toward the gang leader, making the shape of a gun with his hand. He then let out a small Ki bolt that raced toward the gang leader, hitting the gun in his hand and making it fly from his grasp down to the floor behind him.

The gang leader turned around to look at his gun on the floor again trying to make sense of what was happening to him. Just a few moments ago everything was going great. He and his team might not have managed to control the crowd as he has hoped, but he did get the fat announcer to tell him where the back exit was and he was just about to leave the scene when this guy showed up.

The gang leader turned back around just in time to see Goten's fist in front of his face. The hero hit the villein straight in the jaw, the blow sent the masked man flying from the stage just as one of his gang went flying before.

Goten let go of the announcer, which he grabbed to make sure the masked guy did not grab on to him as he went flying, just as the police broke into the plaza. Goten bowed down to the cheering crowd, who was now ecstatic from the spectacle they witnessed, and then blasted off into the sky, ignoring the shouts of the police man to freeze.

He took a quick look over at his girlfriend as he flew higher just to make sure that everything was still ok. He saw her looking up at him with an amazed look on her face.

He landed on an isolated part of the Carnival and quickly disposed of the custom and mask he was wearing, throwing it on the ground before he started running toward the entrance to the plaza.

He stood at the barricaded entrance to the plaza and watched as the police man slowly let the people out. As soon as he saw Valese cross the barricaded walls he ran toward her, lifting her up in his arms and twisting her around, pressing his lips to hers as he placed her back down, giving her a long kiss.

When they broke off she gave him another quick hug before moving back, her face still held a look of amazement as she turned around and looked at the sky.

"Goten you would not believe what just happened." Valese let out after turning her attention toward him.

She started telling him about the events that went down since they have separated. Telling him about the masked lion and how he beat up an entire band of armed men with only his hands.

When she finished telling him the whole story she stopped for a few moments to catch her breath, then she lifted her eyes to stare into his, frowning as she saw a hint of amusement in them.

"You think I'm making this up?" she snapped at him, forcing him to lift his hands in front of his face in a defensive way.

"What?? Of course not.. A flying lion you said? Wow, sounds really amazing.. Ha ha," he let out nervously trying to calm her down.
"By the way. I'm fine, thanks for asking," he said, trying to change the subject.

"Ohh babe, are you ok?" She asked as her eyes widen, as though she just now remembered that the last time they saw each other he was being pushed around in the crowd. She leaned in to give him a hug and a quick kiss. "My hero," she told him with a lovely smile.

He drew her close to him and placed his hand across her waist, giving her a kiss on the forehead. He then pointed toward the parking lot.

"Lets go home babe, I think we've been through enough today." He said as they started walking toward the parking lot.

"Yea I guess," she said. "It's just too bad that we didn't get to go on the Ferris Wheel like we always do."

Goten froze in his steps. He has completely forgotten the Ferris Wheel. He turned around to look at the Carnival, seeing the Ferris Wheel at a distance and then turned to look at his girlfriend with a sad expression on his face.

"You think they will re-open the Carnival after this is all over?" he asked Valese with hopeful eyes.

She watched his expression with amusement as she shacked her head, letting out a small laugh as she saw his face drop.

"Don't worry babe, we don't need the Ferris Wheel. We can have fun, just the two of us, anywhere we want," she said sweetly as she lifted his head so that he could look into her eyes.

They hugged again, a long hug this time, before turning around and walking toward Goten's car. He grabbed her waist and she grabbed his shoulder as they made their way down the now half empty parking lot, trying to find his old car parked among the remaining vehicles.

They found his car after a few minutes of looking around and got in.

"What a day ahh," Goten let out while he exhaled.

"Yea, it was really fun. I had a great time honey. Thank you for taking me."

"Yep, it was really fun ahh. Though that last part was kinda scary," Goten replied as he looked at her before entering the keys into the ignition.

"It really was. Luckily for us, my flying lion came to our rescue." she told him as she looked out the window and toward the sky.

"Your lion?" Goten said as he raised an eyebrow.

"Yep, my lio...." She stopped mid sentence and let out a gasp. "My stuffed lion.. The one you won me in that game.. Where is it?"

Goten twisted the keys in the ignition, making the car come to life. He then shifted into first and pressed on the gas as he let go of the clutch.

"Maybe it was your stuffed lion that came to life and came to....Ouch." He yelled as Valese pinched his arm, a look of annoyance on her face.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." He said sheepishly as he turned into the main street.

"Whatever," she said and crossed her arms, looking again out the window. "Lets just go home,"

"Sure thing babe," he said. "Lets go home."
