Earth was a lush oasis of water, jungles, ice, and desert. Compared to other planets that Maragai had been to, this beautiful sphere was a gem among rocks. She was home. She was finally home. The child breathed in the air and closed her eyes. A lush wind kicked up, flowing through her ebony hair. Footsteps sounded beside her as Omega came up. There was a bit of humor in his eyes as he glanced down at the young girl. “Don’t get too comfortable,” he told the Vessel of Light. “We’re not here on vacation, you know.” Maragai let out a sigh. Of course she remembered the real reason she was here. Not too long ago, she had been appointed by the Royal family to become Overlord of planet Earth. And as such, she was to remain on this planet and oversee it, working with the leaders here to keep the humans safe. It was more than an honor. Thankfully, she was allowed to travel with Omega. The Saiyan Fleet Master was sent to help her in her new position as an advisor of sorts - to mold her into fitting the position she had been charged to. “I know, I know,” Maragai sighed. “You need to relax and have some fun sometime, you know.” Omega let out a huff. “With my position, I hardly get the liberty to do that,” he answered. “Regardless, we should-” A beeping noise came from his gauntlet, interrupting what he was about to say. He looked at the screen for a moment, pushing various buttons as he cycled through the information. A frown crossed his face and his brow furrowed. “What’s the matter?” Maragai asked, sounding concerned. The look on the Fleet Master’s face was something that the child did not like to see. He only made a face like that when something was going on - something bad. “Looks like we’ll have to wait to get you to your quarters,” Omega answered, turning the screen on his gauntlet off. “We’re needed elsewhere.” “And where is that?” Maragai asked. But Omega had already taken off into the sky, punching through the sound barrier with a ripple of displaced air. Soon, Maragai could hardly see his form even when she blocked the sunlight from her amethyst eyes. She let out a resigned sigh. What was she to do but follow? The Fleet Master had told her nothing; she didn’t know where he was headed or why he was headed there. With a small smirk, the child crouched slightly, building up her own energy. Then, with a massive push of Ki, she was airborne, heading towards the same direction that Omega had just moments ago. The wind whipped through her hair. Above her, skies of blue were filled with fluffy white clouds. The landing site was long gone; Maragai found a long stretch of trees below her. Birds scrambled to get out of her way; the birds of flight were not accustomed to sharing the sky with such speedy invaders. It didn’t take long for Maragai to realize that Omega was not slowing down. His power was flared to his maximum and he was allowing no quarters for the new Overlord of Earth to catch up. Maragai allowed her amethyst aura to engulf her lithe body, bringing her flight speed up remarkably. Soon, she was at the Fleet Master’s side once more. He glanced at her as she took his side, but said nothing - only turning his gaze forward once more. Now Maragai knew that something was wrong. The Saiyan Fleet Master was acting more than odd; he was acting uncharacteristically. His energy brewed like a storm ready to dump its load on whatever lay in its path. “Hey!” Maragai called above the howling wind. She glanced down below her as the stretch of trees gave way to ocean. “Where are we going? What’s going on?” “I’ll explain in a bit,” Omega promised, not slowing down a bit in his flight or even taking his eyes off of whatever he was watching. He glanced down at his gauntlet once more, pressing a few buttons to bring up a display. On it, was the map of Earth. A green arrow pointed North: Omega’s current position. With a frown, the Fleet Master lowered his gauntlet and suddenly veered left, leaving a trail of white energy in his wake. Maragai followed, lowering her own altitude so she could get out of Omega’s way if he made any more sudden turns. 752/752/5250 |

It didn’t take long before Omega began to slow down in his flight. He glanced around below him; the ocean had long vanished, revealing a beautiful beach and the border of West City. Towering buildings could be seen; the humans were finally rebuilding after the massive attack dealt to them by the androids who had been driven out. But Omega did not land in the city. Instead, the Saiyan Fleet Master flew further, still - only landing once he was next to the outskirts of the nearby jungle. There, Maragai could see a communication tower as well as the presence of Earth’s military. Three tanks rested, idling loudly as a multitude of army men rushed around. Maragai flashed a questioning look at Omega, but the Fleet Master had already begun his descent. With a shrug, the child followed suit, landing beside the powerful Saiyan warrior. At that entrance, several of the armed humans turned around in shock, training their guns on the muscular intruder. No doubt, they were startled. Maragai opened her mouth, but Omega spoke first, bringing his hand up in a reassuring manner. “I’m here to speak with Commander Jordan,” his voice rang out loudly. The humans glanced at each other as if they were not sure what to do when the answer rose up. “This is him.” A black man stepped forward, raising his hand in a signal. His men eased at that, taking their gun sights off of the two Saiyans. Commander Jordan stopped in front of Omega. “Quite the entrance,” he mused. “You must be Fleet Master Omega, I trust?” The Commander extended his hand and Omega took it, shaking it in greeting. “This is Maragai,” Omega introduced the Vessel of Light as he removed his grip. The child felt the Commander’s eyes fall to her. “She’s-” “Kind of young, isn’t she?” Jordan asked, cutting the Fleet Master off and crossing his arms. “I’m not sure I agree with Saiyans’ policy at letting children fight. We’re facing something alien in this jungle. I don’t want a kid getting involved.” Once more, Maragai opened her mouth, ready to defend herself, but Omega barred her way with an arm and shot her a warning glance. The word ‘wait’ was mouthed from his lips before he turned his attention to the human Commander. “She is young,” Omega admitted, keeping his voice neutral. “But I can vouch for myself that she is a lot stronger than she looks and she possesses knowledge and wisdom beyond her years. She is untainted from our ancestors and has a fierce piece of Earth in her heart. As such, she’s been chosen to be our Overlord for this world. “What?” Commander Jordan started loudly at that, looking shocked. His eyes had widened and a loud murmur rose from his men - confused and uncertain. “With all due respect, Fleet Master…” “Commander.” Omega cut him off and lowered his arms to his sides. “It’s easy to be judgemental. But if you would allow her to prove herself, perhaps your opinion will change. We can spend all day here discussing the morality of it, but according to my transmission, you have men to save, don’t you?” Maragai swallowed nervously. There was a tension between the humans and the two Saiyans here. She could sense distrust in most of these soldiers as they looked on to the transpiring events they witnessed. Was it wise to really interfere with the humans? After all, the Saiyans were widely known as a terrible species who thrived in the destruction of others! Then perhaps it is time to change the universe’s opinion, yeah? Je’sheln’s voice sounded softly in Maragai’s mind. The lupine was right. This was her chance! She would not let these humans suffer to otherworldly, extraterrestrial, and mystic sources again! She was to command the Saiyans stationed here to protect this precious world! And that’s exactly what she would do. 654/1406/5250 |

"So what are we looking at?" Omega beckoned to the thick jungle, prompting the Earthling Commander to fill him in on the details. Jordan looked at Maragai for a moment before looking at the Saiyan Fleet Master. "A few days ago, Capsule Corporation received satellite feed showing a massive stone ruin somewhere within this jungle." Jordan looked over to one of the humans hunkered over a laptop computer and waved him over. The younger looking man produced a flash drive and handed it to Omegabefore resuming his position at the computer. With a nod of thanks, the powerful Fleet Master took the memory stick and plugged it into his gauntlet. It only took him a moment to download the information. From there, he handed the flash drive to Maragai. "Do you know anything about this Capsule Corp?" Omega asked the child hybrid as she inserted the flash drive into her own gauntlet. "Not much," Maragai admitted, watching the progress bar on her own download rise as the feed of information was added to her own data stores. "They were wiped out in my time, after all." Once the download was complete, the young preteen unplugged the data stick and handed it to Commander Jordan. The man took it, narrowing his eyes as if he were studying the young girl's movements critically and carefully. Maragai wisely decided to ignore the look and continue filling the Saiyan Fleet Master in on what she knew. "Along with the Avalonian Protectorate, they supply the humans with most of their technological doodads and whatnots. As far as what I've been told, the human named Bulma Briefs is in charge." "That's the gist of it, at least," Commander Jordan confirmed, placing the flash drive in his pocket. "They also do their fair share of exploration and research of ancient man. There's always something to learn from the past. So when they found that temple, they got clearance to explore it. A team of researchers was promptly sent out." "And how many were sent?" Maragai asked, bringing up a picture of the vine-covered temple. The ancient building was a pyramid; it looked rather large. Old writing was carved on the mud bricks in a language that the Vessel of Light did not recognize. A single stone slab blocked the entrance. "Ten researchers were sent," Jordan answered heavily. "Without any protection or guards?" Omega asked, raising a single ebony eyebrow. Surely they wouldn't be set out blindly! After all, they had no idea what they were getting into! "Guards?" Commander Jordan answered with a huff. "No. Capsule Corp did not think they needed a combat unit for a simple exploration mission. As for the local wildlife or petty criminals, the researchers were equipped with armor as well as personal energy shields that would protect them from minor physical and energy based attacks. But what they ran into was..." The human officer trailed off for a moment. His eyes darkened as he looked down at Maragai once more. "It was more than any of us could have planned for." 510/1919/5250 |

"There's a video file here," Omega told Maragai as he rifled through the information logged in his gauntlet. "Let's see what we're up against." Rather than to bring her own file up, Maragai vouched to hover up a bit so she could peer at the footage over Omega's shoulder. Apparently, it was a video shot just as the researchers came into view of the ancient temple. Excited chatter could be heard up until a shadow seemed to melt into existence on the pyramid's roof, materializing until it condensed into a demon like creature with two powerful bony blades for arms. "What the hell is that?" Omega choked out. The few beams of sunlight that filtered through the thick jungle canopy seemed to glimmer off of the creature's scales. It's maw opened, revealing rows upon rows of needle like teeth. It issued a throaty and bellowing roar. No matter what species or what language one understood, that noise meant danger. The cries from the human researchers rose in panic. Some tried to flee, others stood their ground. The bravest of the team produced some sort of energy based weaponry and opened fire. Maragai grimly knew that the plan of offense was doomed to fail. Bolts of energy shattered and splintered like glass as it was displaced by the demon's tough and scaly carapace. Maragai turned her head away from the recording as the monstrosity half slithered and half leaped off of the temple's roof. The dying screams from the researchers were haunting, sending a chill down the child's spine and into the core of her soul. Finally, the video ended. Maragai let out a slow breath. "You okay?" Omega's worried voice hung softly in the new Overlord's ears. Those screams had reminded her too much of her own parents' last screams of anguish. But she couldn't show weakness. Maragai closed her amethyst eyes for a moment, trying to find her voice. The Vessel ofLight was aware of Commander Jordan's gaze as he watched her. "That looked like a Voracious Eater," Maragai finally responded when she opened her eyes. Though her eyes were deep pools of sorrow, her voice was clearer and stronger than even she had expected. There was a short pause as the Saiyan Fleet Master wordlessly gazed at the young preteen, but he nodded. "I think so too," he affirmed. "Rouge, by the looks of it," he then added. "Wait." Commander Jordan's voice became sharp. "What the hell is a Voracious Eater?" He looked sharply at Omega before turning his gaze to Maragai. His ebony eyes glinted like chips of ice. Maragai noticed some of his men nearby lean in as if they, too, were waiting for a response. But what was the best response? Humans were weak for the most part and quick to panic when faced with an impossible scenario. Was there a way to sugar coat the answer so as to keep these soldiers from giving up? "I'm not going to lie to you," Omega started, shooting a glance at his much younger companion as if he could read the Vessel's mind. "Vora seek out any and all life forms so that they can feed off of their life energy." The human Commander narrowed his eyes, but said nothing as Omega swept on. "With each life they take, the Vora adds it to their own, making them stronger with each feast." "Some of them have wiped out entire civilizations," Maragai added heavily. "Those are the strongest ones." An uncomfortable murmur rose from Jordan's men at the Overlord's foreboding words, but the human Commander rose his hand to silence them. A single question left his bearded mouth - his voice as calm as the void of space. "So what so we do?" "We fight," Maragai responded immediately, surprised at the conviction in her voice. Despite her wariness and doubt in becoming the youngest Saiyan Overlord, she suddenly understood her duty - no, her purpose. "As long as that Voracious Eater remains on this planet, the human race is in danger. Though that demon is contained for now, it'll only be a matter of time before its hunger drives it into expansion. When that happens, it'll move toward a bigger hunting ground. Humans would be attacked." The Vessel of Light narrowed her eyes. "And I won't let that happen." 721/2637/5250 |

Out of the corner of her eye, Maragai could see Omega looking at her. Was that a glimmer of pride in his ebony eyes? He turned to Commander Jordan. "Well?" He prompted, waiting for the human's response. But it seemed that the hardened military officer was not going to be so easily swayed. "And what is the reason that drives you to protect people who aren't even your species?" He asked. "This planet is where I was born," Maragai responded without any hesitation. Her words ushered in a surprised mutter from Jordan's men. While it was not odd to find an Earth born Saiyan, it was rare that said Saiyan would willingly join the Saiyan Empire. "I can't let this world suffer. I won't." "I see..." Commander Jordan trailed off, stroking his beard thoughtfully. There was a glimmer of new respect in his eyes as he looked down upon the new Saiyan Overlord. "Then I will entrust this mission to you. I want to see your conviction for myself. Prove that you are truly our ally." “Do you sense anything yet?” Omega stopped walking so he could let Maragai catch up. The child followed on foot more slowly, but for a number of reasons. If the Voracious Eater did indeed lurk in this jungle, the young Saiyan Overlord was not keen on letting it know she was here just yet. Also, she was not only searching for the Vora’s energy, but any survivors as well. Deep down, the Vessel of Light knew that the researchers were dead. Still, she didn’t want to give up hope. Hope that perhaps some of them had escaped. Maragai shook her head. “Nothing yet,” she said. “But it could be suppressed.” “Or it could have moved on,” Omega said, giving voice to the girl’s other fear. If the Vora had already vacated the area, it would be impossible to find until it attacked again. And by then, more lives would be lost. Maragai didn’t want that. “Let’s hope not,” Maragai answered softly, skirting around a thick layer of dead leaves so she didn’t make too much sound. The final line of trees were ahead of her and she came to a halt behind one so she could peek out at the clearing where the ancient temple resided. Her earpiece rang once. “You should be in view of the temple,” Commander Jordan’s voice came through. Maragai watched as Omega covered his ear with two fingers. “I have visual contact,” he affirmed, narrowing his eyes. “There’s nothing stirring out here, though. We may have to enter it to investigate further.” “Be careful,” came Jordan’s answer. “Once you get into that temple, we’ll lose our communication link. You’ll be blind down there.” “We’ll be fine,” Maragai assured the human officer. She turned off her earpiece and glanced at Omega. “Let’s go.” 474/3111/5250 |

Slowly and carefully, the two Saiyans picked their way across the field of grass, making sure to be quiet. Sunlight shone freely here and Maragai found herself enjoying the way it felt on her skin. But her amethyst eyes were hardened, searching for both Ki signatures and movement. She could see Omega’s muscles tighten. The Fleet Master was on guard as well. Step by step, they ascended to the stone slab that blocked the door to the ancient temple. Omega frowned, pushing against the wall with a gloved hand. “Now what?” he wondered out loud. “It’s blocked off!” “But there’s no bodies out here,” Maragai pointed out, checking behind her. There was some dried blood that stained some of the blades of grass, but nothing suggesting that the Voracious Eater actually consumed his meal outside of the temple. The child turned, taking the last two steps until she was at Omega’s side. “They had to get in here somehow.” “I’ll check up top,” Omega offered, lifting off from the ground so he could get an aerial look. Maragai watched him until he was out of sight before looking carefully at the slab of stone. Deep gouges were scored across the bricks as if something with large and sturdy claws had raked across it. There were no mechanisms that the new Overlord could see… Wait! There, on the side, the Vessel of Light spotted a large brick that was seemingly out of place. It was of a lighter color than the other bricks, almost as if it were an addition and not built with the actual temple. In addition, the girl could see that it was slightly pushed out. A button, perhaps? The child pushed against it, listening as the brick scraped against the others. Then, there was a click. Maragai could hear the faint sound of turning gears as a small hole was opened nearby. There, a scanner was revealed with the faded outline of a hand. “Omega!” Maragai called out, hailing the Saiyan Fleet Master to descend and join up with the young preteen once more. He landed and his ebony eyes flickered with surprise as he saw the change. “The hell?” Omega stepped forward, running a gloved finger over the ancient screen. This couldn’t have been built by humans. As old as this place was, it outdated what humans were capable of back then! “This is a hand print scanner?” He removed his touch and took one of his gloves off. “Looks like it,” Maragai mused, growing more and more intrigued by the turn of events. A mystery was quickly surrounding this temple. If it hadn’t been built by humans, then who had possessed this kind of technology? A red light flashed out as the device refused to accept Omega’s hand print - no surprise there. Now the two Saiyans were right back where they were before. How was one to enter the temple? “Break into it?” Omega offered as if he could read the child’s thoughts. “No,” Maragai told him, shaking her head. “We have no idea what’s behind this door. And I don’t want to risk damaging this place. Not before we learn more about it.” “True…” Omega conceded, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “But we don’t even know who built this place. Searching for a hand print for this scanner won’t be easy. I could try hacking it, but…” The Saiyan Fleet Master trailed off as Maragai placed her own palm against it. A trail of blue light covered the device from top to bottom before a beep sounded out. Maragai removed her palm. The device flashed green. And slowly, the stone slab that blocked the entrance began to open. 614/3725/5250 |

Darkness met Maragai’s gaze as the stone slab slid open, revealing a descending hallway. She could sense confusion coming from Omega in waves. Then again, she was just as confused. “Wait, wait, wait, wait,” Omega shook his hand before Maragai could say anything. “How the hell did you open that?” “I-I’m not sure,” Maragai answered honestly. Why had the scanner taken her hand so easily? What did it mean? Questions continued to spiral around the child, not one which had an answer. Omega seemed to stare at the child a moment or two longer before letting out a sigh. “This is starting to give me a headache,” the Saiyan Fleet Master admitted, rubbing his temples briefly. But then he shook his head as if clearing it. “I guess we won’t get any answers standing around here, though,” he admitted. “Let’s-” Maragai didn’t let him finish. As the door finished sliding open, a sharp sense pierced her mind. A power level! And quite a large one at that… Why had the stone been enough to block her senses? Was there something mystic going on in this temple? “I can sense something!” she exclaimed, peering into the deep darkness with curious amethyst eyes. Before Omega could say anything, the child was on the move, taking her first steps into the dark temple. “Wait-” Omega shook his head. Once Maragai got something in her mind, there was no way of convincing the young Vessel of Light to turn away from it. With a heavy sigh, the Saiyan Fleet Master followed the child in, starting slightly as burnt out torches on the sides of the wall flared up at once. Light flickered and danced, showing a single path down to the unknown. He could see Maragai tense up somewhat; the girl was wondering how much further she wanted to descend down into this ancient place. Maragai’s footsteps made hollow and echoing thuds as she took each step one by one. All around her, the air was damp and cold. The continuous lines of torches ahead of her continued to flare up in rhythm to her step. To be truthful, it was quite unnerving. But she kept going forward. She could still sense the power ahead of her, slowly growing stronger as she neared. If the power she was sensing did come from a Voracious Eater, it did not feel like it. There was no maliciousness to it. There was no darkness to it. But this strength… It was far too large to be that of a human’s, wasn’t it? Finally, a doorway made out of a green stone yawned before Maragai. The child came to a halt, trying to peer into the darkness that lay ahead. Whatever was emitting the strong source of power was right ahead of her - likely in the room she was trying to see into. It didn’t take long for Omega to catch up. But with the way that the hallway was built - it was too small for the muscular Saiyan to stand by his companion’s side. Luckily, he was tall enough to see over her. “Well,” he said, leaning down to dust off his legs. “I don’t trust that one bit. Even I can sense that power.” His voice was somewhat hushed. Obviously, the Saiyan Fleet Master didn’t want to alert whatever was in the room of his presence. Maragai suspected that their intrusion had been noticed a long time ago, though. 575/4298/5250 |

A large bonfire in the room that rested beyond the doorway leaped to life. Beyond it, an ancient stone tablet was shown sitting upon four stone legs. Ancient hieroglyphs could be seen etched around the base of the legs as well as the sides of the alter. But the only thing Maragai noticed right off was the serpentine demon that rested on the table. A pulse of fear stabbed the girl’s heart. This power was definitely radiating from the scaled creature. And it was a power that damn near rivaled that of Vengeance. “That’s…” Omega breathed out, clenching his fist. The Saiyan Fleet Master knew just as well as the new Overlord of Earth knew. This creature was responsible for the disappearance of the human researchers who had been sent into this temple. The creature’s flank rose and fell in rhythm in steady breaths. At first, the monster did not react to the two Saiyans encroaching upon its domain. But soon enough, the creature’s head rose. Maragai found herself stabbed by a neutral emerald gaze. “I thought Voracious Eaters had red eyes,” Omega whispered, allowing more and more of his power to flow. The powerful warrior was preparing himself for battle. But despite the creature’s strength, Maragai couldn’t sense any hostility coming from the demon… Odd. Then, a voice rose from the serpent. A voice that carried the chill of the coldest winter. “Welcome… come and talk… we have so much to discuss…” Maragai narrowed her amethyst eyes. What was up with this creature? It was definitely a Voracious Eater. Anyone with sense could tell that much. But something about it… Maragai found herself moving. One step, then another. Before long, the Vessel of Light found herself fully in the room with the Vora watching her carefully. Why was she moving? It almost felt as if her legs no longer belonged to her. She could hear Omega yell out to her. “Maragai! What the hell are you doing, don’t just go walking towards it! We need a plan! We need a- Hey!” There was a hissing sound. Maragai turned around to see that a force field of some sort had come crashing down in the entrance of the room between her and Omega. The Saiyan Fleet Master slammed into the blue energy with his fist, causing the energy to shudder. But not so much as a crack appeared from the force. “Omega!” Maragai attempted to shatter the force field with her own blow, but the result was the same. It appeared that neither Saiyan had the strength to shatter the powerful energy. “Do not worry, young one.” The Vora’s voice snapped Maragai’s attention from that current problem and back to the problem with the Voracious Eater. The serpentine creature had slithered from his rest and had come to a halt several yards away from the child. “I am not here to hurt you. But first, I must test to see if you are indeed the one I have been waiting for…” With those words, the Vora lunged forward with a speed that startled Maragai. 514/4812/5250 |

This was no time to be shocked. This was no time to be startled. This was no time to freeze. This was time to act. Now, the child’s life was on the line. The flame’s light glinted unnaturally as the Vora bore its wicked claws, ready to bear down on the small girl. With this Vora’s overwhelming strength, there was only one thing to do. In one swift movement, the child balled her fists, brought her arms to her side, and let out a yell as she ignited her full power. An amethyst aura briefly flashed around her lithe body before flaring into a beautiful golden glow. Her hair flowed violently for a moment before it, too, flared into the same color as her aura. Her eyes, once amethyst turned into deep pools of emerald. For once, the child was glad that Omega had spent so much time training her. The Super Saiyan transformation was easy to access now. And even quicker to use. With a final flare of golden Ki, the child’s transformation was complete. A torrent of discharged air screamed as it fled her condensed aura, slamming into the charging Voracious Eater. Though it didn’t throw the serpent like demon back, it was enough to give it pause. Enough for Maragai to dance around the incoming scythe of bone and slam her fist into the creature’s face. There was a loud crunch that resulted. Black blood flowed as several of the demon’s fangs were forcibly torn from black gums. That was all there was too it. Apparently, the new Overlord of Earth’s strength was too great as it sent the Vora spiralling backwards until its body carved a path through the alter it once rested on. Bouncing off of the ground, the Voracious Eater only came to a halt as it struck the nearby wall, splintering it. Slowly, the creature slid to the ground. Maragai took a threatening step forward, fully prepared to finish the wounded monster off. But to her surprise, the Vora did not move to attack. Instead, it simply stood back up, holding up a bony scythe as if to tell the child to stop. His voice confirmed it. “Enough,” he growled. “You have proven yourself to be the one I seek.” “And what does that mean?” Maragai asked sharply, feeling the Super Saiyan transformation give some anger to her words. “You killed those explorers!” “The ones that came before you?” the demon asked, shaking his head. “No, small one. I did not kill. I do not kill.” “You don’t kill?” Maragai echoed, raising a single golden eyebrow. “But you’re a Voracious Eater, aren’t you? Of course you-” “I broke away from my brethren a long time ago,” the creature spoke, narrowing his green eyes. “Ever since I had my vision, I left them to rot.” Silence met the Vora’s words. Only the constant swoosh of Maragai’s aura sounded as she waited for the demon to explain himself. “You will find the explorers here. I merely put them into a trance - a dream. Only by doing that, could I guarantee that we would meet, Overlord.” Maragai started. “How do you know about me? Who are you?” The Vora let out a sigh. “Like I said, I see visions of what is to come. I do not have a name, but I suppose you could call me The Observer.” He paused for a moment before continuing. Maragai saw that force field power down behind her. “Take the humans and leave. We will meet again when the time is right.” With that, the creature melted into shadow before flickering away. Omega joined the child’s side. “So am I the only one creeped out by that?” Maragai sighed. “Let’s just get these researchers and go. We’ll figure it out later.” 633/5445/5250 |
