Marked for Sale

Difficulty: Epic

Description: The Planet Trade Organization thinks the Earth would fetch a hefty price on the market. Their spies have told them you are there, however, so they are sending one of their top agents to clean the planet of all life. He's even stronger than you! Train up and fend this guy off.

Reward:

+1,000 zeni, +140 all stats, +8 DP, +8 RPC, +1 fighting style level

The Airship suddenly shook with a mighty explosion that knocked Gine off her feet. There was a survivor. Now that she got a good look at him, she saw that there was something familiar about the guy. This couldn’t be that guy from the PTO sent to cause mass destruction could it? She fell on top of the dead pilot as the ship began to spiral down. She pulled the pilot from the seat and threw him out the window too. She tried to pull up on the controls and prevent the ship from plunging into the water but the blue rushed up at her. Gine opened her eyes on the beach. The first thing she noticed was that she couldn’t breath. She coughed out the water that was in her lungs and took a huge breath.

”Oh good. The girls’ awake.” She looked up, it was the pilot and he was holding her own weapon to her head. ”Click.” she closed her eyes. There was no way this would kill her anyways, since she was essentially a super powered saiyan. However, she didn’t need this pilot knowing that. ”Well that wouldn’t be very much fun now would it? Right – o then. I noticed that you happened to be using one of my Guns. I couldn’t kill you without knowing how you got it, and by the way I am very grateful for your returning it. ”He lifted her chin up with the tip of the gun, ”So then How did you get it?”

”You want the long or short version?” he smiled, ”We’re a bit pressed for time so I’ll take the short version.” Gine looked him in the eyes, ”Fuck you.” The Yaid deviant burst out laughing, she held her sides for a moment, but Gine knew better that man had the scent of a trained killer. It was the same kind of smell she had. A mixture of blood and gun oil. ”Alright then, how about the long version then? I suppose I can appreciate a good story.”

”I got it from the armory Its my first issued weapon.” she put the barrel on the gun back on her head, ”Actually, it’s ‘my’ weapon. Sure I’ve made many weapons in my time, but I love and cherish every single one. Normally this is where I kill you. Since you’ve kept my gun in such good repair, I’d say it would only be fair to do the same for you.” Gine must of looked confused because then the man laughed, ”Oh yes. I’ll be keeping you in very good repair. ”

He flipped the armor around and struck her hard on the temple. She fell over and felt her consciousness begin to fade. Red began to cloud her right eye, while her left just became blurry. She felt so far away now She felt like she flying. This Yaid guy hoisted her up and threw her across the back of her animals.
She woke up in a bedroom. She had since taken the liberty of tying her hands together, and gagging her. Her clothes were still on at least so maybe she had managed to wake up before she was ready. Well, local enhancements were good for something at least. She looked around for something to cut her bonds, there was a knife sitting on the night stand that she used to cut the rope, and immediately afterwards she removed her gag and dropped it to the floor. She held the knife at the ready and checked the rest of the area. This apparently was a hotel room yes it was one of the rooms at that Haunted hotel thing over at Festival. Where was the Yaid guy? Not here apparently. Maybe he was out betting. She walked over towards the door and noticed a note it. It read:

”Dear lady, how about we play a game? My ambushing you was really unfair So I thought here would be a good chance to have fun and cut loose ends at the same time! Since you’ve been sent here to kill me, and since you apparently have good enough tastes to use my weapon I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be interesting if we had a sniper battle in the middle of Festival?’ So that’s the game lovey. The gun you brought with you is hiding underneath the bed. The goal is to kill the other during normal Festival hours. Good luck!”

Gine frowned this wouldn’t be good. She already had a head start. As soon as she left that door she could be a potential target. She looked underneath the bed for her gun and made sure it was loaded. She found that she had five bullets in her pocket. That should be enough for any good honest to god sniper. Gine slung the armor over her shoulder and peaked out the door. She used her Sniper gun’s scouter to try and spot Yaid assuming her was just waiting for her.

It wouldn’t have been much of a game if she had been, it was all the same to her though. This was a quest to Gine, nothing more, nothing less. It would be impossible for her to get a good shot from any of these ground angles so she immediately began to make her way towards the gondola that took a tour of Festival. That would be perfect. She checked her surroundings before getting on the tour. It was all clear for now. Neither knew where each other was well hopefully.

If Yaid was that much of a fair game kind of guy then she would have as much of a chance as he had. Maybe she was in one of the other gondola’s? It should have been expected that she would make such a move first That’s why Gine was almost immediately regretting it. So the tour was on its way now. It crossed over one of the famous lands, and Gine pulled her armor over the side and started scanning for Yaid through the crowds.

There was nothing She saw a large Animals waddling around with some children she thought about shooting the stupid looking animals. It was a guy in a suit but still. As the tour began to make its full round, it came to the gaming corner. She kept scanning the crowds kids adults Black hair Where was he, shiny! She turned her gun quickly towards the ‘shiny’! It was the yaid guy. He was aiming straight for her. She saw him pull her trigger, and before she could she fell backwards ”Am I dead?” she asked herself a loud.

She felt her head and looked at the floor of the Gondola. Red. She had taken a shot to the head and by some act of whatever higher powers there were she had survived. She felt the perfectly round hole in her skull. That really shook the hell out of her. She expected she could die at any moment now, but she had a job to do still. She threw her weapon over her shoulder and climbed out the window and then on top of the gondola. She climbed up the extension it was hanging from and held onto track with all of her strength. Another Gondola began to come over and she quickly let herself down on top of the thing. She kicked in a window and knocked a man forward. A girl screamed, and when Gine turned to look at her, she screamed even louder.

”Shut up, shut up, Shut up!” She couldn’t understand what had gotten her so upset. Well then again, a bullet to the brain is bound to piss you off, assuming it didn’t screw up any of your brain functions. That was probably it. The bullet must have damaged her control for anger center thingy. Whatever that part of the brain was called. The people in the Gondola went quiet when Gine pulled her gun out and aimed it down at the ground below. She figured that Yaid would go over to the gondola to inspect her kill she was right. She peered into the gondola with a smile, when she saw nothing she looked up at Gine’s Gondola and ran. Gine’s finger gently squeezed the trigger. It got her in the arm. She would have a hard time aiming at her now, but that was beside the point.

She hadn’t killed him. That was one less bullet. Only four left. ”Give me your shirt.” Gine ordered the man. ”Just Holy Fuck lady.” the guy said, taking his shirt off and handing it to her. She ripped it and wrapped it around her head like a bandage. ”Get out first.” She ordered the man again. When the Gondola landed, she followed closely behind this man until she could take some serious cover.

Despite it all there was still people carelessly going through their days. Unaware of the sniper battle going on. 'We might end up playing a waiting game. seeing who moves first. Its almost guaranteed that whoever moves first will get killed. But we can't let this go on. both of us are wounded. especially me. Dear god, I don't even know why I'm still alive, but I need to get to a hospital and quick. I doubt that this shirt will keep my melon from spilling out onto the pavement. He's bleeding too, but I definately think that my would is worse than his. We got to end this soon though. If I wait, she might think I died of blood loss. but if I wait I might die of blood loss for real. Dang it, why does life have to be so confusing sometimes? I can't think straight with this head injury, and then the game is still on. '

Some people saw her and began to look on in shock at her head injury. She waved the thrill seekers away. She would rather not get any of these people hurt if she could help it. Yaid was only paying her to kill this Yaid guy, not to create Massacre. She sighed and wiped the blood that was dripping into her eyes. She frowned It was unsure how much longer she would be able to survive such a thing. She slipped a new bullet into her gun and looked around the corner. No one. She needed to find some high ground. Back at the hotel! She could climb all the way to the top! It was an excellent plan. Now to get there without being shot, or caught by the people running Festival.

She ran towards a slide and slid down, popping out of a grave in front of the hotel. She ran into the hotel, and climbed up the stairs ignoring the men at the counter. She reached the top of the building, found an open room. She walked in on two people 'doing it'. The couple jumped up in surprise, the man yelled, "Wha what the hell are you doing?!" Gine ignored them and climbed out the window and began to make her way to the top of the hotel. She flung herself behind a gargoyle so that it gave her some amount of cover. She propped her weapon against the side of the building, She pressed the armor against the building with one of her hands so that she could keep the weapon steady.

'Okay. now where the faux did this guy go? Over there. ? Okay he's not on that plate, or on that one. Check the Gondola again? Okay we're still clean. I have to figure out where this guy has disappeared too before I die. Where are you. where are you. There! THERE!' She aimed at him and tried to pull the trigger but for some reason she just couldn't manage to get the aim perfect. If she didn't get her soon. She squeezed the trigger and hit his gun out of his hand. She watched it fall all the way off the festival. Gine wiped some more blood from her helmet as she put another bullet into the gun. She took aim again. Followed her with the armor and. Fired. Right in the back. She fell in the middle of a crowd. She sighed with relief. She didn't expect her shot to actually hit him.

She was relieved. At least she died doing her duty. She slumped over, and relaxed her grip on the weapon. Red lights flashed into her blurry eyes. black. A bright white and several shadowy figures looked over her. black. a tiled ceiling. black. Pain like hell. "Gah!" She said, trying to move. She was restrained, and for good reason. Her body shook like she was having a seizure as all the pain from before finally caught up on her. The nurse ran out of the room to get help, but it wasn't needed. She stopped at the end and took a deep breath. She was aware, and had a huge head ache.

"Ah. ouchie.” She said, the doctor came in and recorded some data, "How do you feel?" Gine raised an eyebrow, "Uhmm. okay. Whats up?" The doctor laughed, "We pulled a bullet from your head, and you're A - okay for some reason.” Gine was still restrained. "Why am I all. tied up?" The doctor walked over and made sure her restraints were loose enough for her. "We had to operate on you with your head injury. If you had moved at all you would have died.” Gine looked down for a moment, before looking back up at the doctor, "Am I expected to be here long?" The doctor shook her head, "One more operation and we're good.” Gine frowned. "Seriously. can you put me out for this operation? I don't want to be aware that you're Gineng with my brain. "

The doctor shook her head, "We'll need you awake for this one. You'll have to keep giving us updates on your condition. Since we're trying to fix your head theres no way for us to know how the cogs are turning.” Gine rolled her eyes. "Fine fine. Gawd.” She sat there and winced as the hours passed by until the operation began. The doctors started screwing around in her head. She didn't like the sensation very much, but it didn't last long. It was short, and they finally pulled out. They molded a steel plate to replace the missing skull piece and that was it.

"We'll release you in the morning.” the doctor told Gine as the staff left her in her little section of the hospital. She laid back and closed her eyes. There was a knock on her door and someone walked into the room. She opened her eyes and looked at the intruder and immediately rolled her eyes. It was Daniel from the Rec. Room with a bouquet of flowers. "Hey there sexy. Looks like you're awake.” 'You're lucky I'm all bound up right now. ', "Awww. thanks for the concern, the doors over there.” She replied to her in an overly pleasant voice. Overly pleasant by far. "You think I would have seen it.” he bent over and tried to give her a kiss on the lips.
She practically choked on her tongue, "You.!" She yanked at her bonds to no avail. "MMmm. mm. Those are some tasty lips. I bet the rest of you tastes even better.” he put his hand under her shirt and started rubbing her belly. "Rawr!" She broke the bond and socked her for the second time. "You gotta be on the nice list before santa gives you presents Ass.” He rubbed her jaw and smiled a painful grin at Gine as she yanked her restraints apart. "Well there goes you having Amnesia and me taking advantage of it.” he dropped the flowers he had brought into the garbage.

"What do you want anyways?" She asked, giving him the hostile look that he deserved. She might have thought she could treat her like this because some of the guys said she was a tease. in addition to her background. Truthfully though, you had to get to know her a little bit before you could 'flirt' with Gine. Let alone "play" with her. He was stepping out of his bounds, and she probably would never forgive him. "Came on orders from the Commander to check on your Head injury. Looks like everything's A - Okay!"

"Liar, The commander doesn't need to send some peon like you to check on me when she has the doctor's reports.” he shrugged, "You win. to tell the truth I was hoping to get some action.” Gine frowned at him. again. Pulled free of her bonds and stood. She made her way towards the door and then to the nurse at the desk. "Nurse, this bozo tried to rape me, I'm checking out early.” The nurse gave a look of horro towards the Daniel whom had followed her. She reluctantly agreed and began to return Gine her stuff.

Gine’s clothes had been cleaned, because she had bled all over them. She quickly donned her pants and threw the hospital robe at Daniel. She quickly strapped on her bra and threw her fish net over her skin. Following this she put on her tank top and she was ready to go. All except for one thing. The Sword. Well. Actually her weapon. She slung the weapon over her shoulder and began to walk down the hall. "I am so reporting you for harassment.” She told Daniel. "I almost die and you think it'd be fun to drop in and share your goods huh?"

He blew it off, "Pfft, they'll just blow it off. The top guys think that there isn't a single guy who hasn't banged you yet. Excluding them of course.” She pivoted on her heel and pointed at him. "I haven't fucked with anybody, and I certainly won't with you. Just get lost. I don't even know how you got your reputation as a lady killer, you're just a perv. "

"Perv? I'd like to think it's charm! " she had to step quickly to catch up to her and stand at her side as she made a brisk walk towards the outside of the hospital. "Charm! and its only a matter of time before you fall under my spell too.” he plucked out some of her hairs. Gine stopped. "Don't you dare. Don't you dare you bastard get back here!" he began running holding her hairs up high in the air in victory.

It was Gine’s guess that she was going to use her hairs to activate some kind of spell that would make her fall for him. She shuddered at the thought. 'Ew. ew. ew. ew. ew. ew. ew. ew. ew!!!!' She had to catch him! She chased after him until she got into the parking lot. She turned around and activated her ki, she felt the affects immediately. oh. hearts started to appear around her as her view was twisted of her. she sighed like a school girl. Before shooting him.

That snapped her out of it. “My special finger.” she said looking at her finger that had pulled the trigger. She looked at Daniels writhing on the ground with a bullet hole in his gun. "You're lucky I'm not allowed to kill you.” She told him. "You're also lucky you're at a hospital already. "She kicked him one more time for good measure as she left the premises. After she had gone far enough she let her shuddering take over her concerning the way she had almost lost full control to that weapon. "Ugh. just. ugh.” She sighed at last, picking herself up, she returned to the local HQ to report on her quest officially. What a fun day it had been.

There was strange aura here. A Yaid Helicopter flew over the construction and quickly the place was populated with local. Somehow some monsters had gotten inside of the Construction Zone. A majority of the force was being used to block off the area, but there were a select few that had been selected to take care of the monster threat. In charge of the operation was a Second Class woman with blue highlights. Beside her was standing a beefy man with an unrealistically sized sword. It was huge. The man was holding a gun, and looked across the area simply. "Our priority is to find out where the monsters are coming from!" he shouted to several locals that were following his orders.

“Gine, I don't know about these guys. They're too .” Gine shrugged, "You'll just have to make up the difference Cisco.” She told the beefy man. The woman wouldn't just stand around either. She slid down the side of a half made building and examined the area down below. "It is possible that someone is letting them in. If so we need to find out where the leak is.” Cisco nodded and took off one direction while Gine began to search in another. A monster began to run up to her. She shot it mercilessly. "This looks like a bomb.” She said looking at the body. "We should be careful because they can explode if we don't get them in time.” She said to herself.

"Everyone look out we have bombs in the area.” he radioed in to the rest of the troops.
Gine kicked off the side of the helicopter, descending down a rope until her feet hit something solid. She gave the signal for a man to unhooked her from the chopper and spun around. She had been dropped off on a large building adjacent to the one that the squad leader had landed on. A faint buzzing in her ear reminded her that she was wearing a headset, something that she was not accustom to, but it was necessary for this type of operation. She leveled her gun at her eyes and looked through the scouter towards the ground.

She was high up in the air, perched atop one of the under construction buildings. from its height, she guessed that is was going to be an office of some sort. Someone dropped down on the roof behind her and walked up to her side before dropping to one knee. "See anything Rook?" The man looked through the scouter of her own high powered gun, scanning across the ground below. "They're bombs alright. looks like there might be a few creatures mixed in with 'em too. but I can't tell; they're hiding in the shadows.”

Gine reeled her rope in and bent down, tying it off on a steel beam below her. "Alright, stay up here and pick off what you can, I better get down there.” Without any more hesitation, she dropped off the side of the building and repelled down. It was a long way, but it was better than risking the helicopter, Gine had enough experience in that matter by now. Climbing down approximately 12 floors, she had almost nothing to keep her mind busy except regulating her movements and listening to the radio chatter.

Now only three stories up, she landed on another steel support and unhooked the rope from her vest. The local looked through her scouter again, finding it much easier to see the monsters that scambled about. How did these things even get here? she found herself thinking unconsciously. It was a pain, every once and awhile monsters broke into the city by one means or another. What she didn't understand was why they decided a wildcard like her should be on the hunt, it just didn't seem to make sense.

Deciding to ignore it, she dropped off her perch, landing on another a few feet lower before dropping again. Six more jumps found her back on solid ground. She caught a glimpse of thier commander before she passed behind a pile of construction materials. She looked familiar, but she didn't get a good enough look to identify her. "Hey Gine, everyone is in position.” Came a voice over the radio. Gine hadn't ever been in charge of an operation this big before. Typically they would simply send a first class saiyan here to take care of the entire mess, but it seemed things weren't as simple as that.

Gine thought she could have done this whole thing herself if she didn't have a child inside of her tum tum. "Okay then, lets clean house.” She announced through the radio, giving everyone the okay to proceed with the quest. "Remember to keep an eye out for however they are getting in. The Executives have reason to believe that this might be an Diay run operation so keep your eyes peeled.” Gine watched the locals scurry about like little ants. She could see Cisco from afar slicing into some of the monsters. "By the way.” She announced into the radio again. "Be careful, we are dealing with bombs. They will explode so try to take them out with a single hit and as far away from you as possible.”

Gine decided to give her new gun a test run. It had been installed with some special shocks so she was obviously interested in how she reacted to it when she fired. She lifted up the weaponry and aimed the barrel at a bomb that was moving behind Cisco. She pulled the trigger and felt the mechanism pull backwards, but she didn't feel it. the force. There was very little force against her body, and this was what she had been hoping for. 'Good. With this, even if I am nervous, I can still take on monsters. Sniping doesn't take much physical action anyways, so as long as I refrain from CQC I should be fine. '

"Watch it Gine, monster at your six.” Gine spun around, keeping her gun up throughout the maneuver. Through her scouter she saw an overly magnified image of a bomb charging at her. Surprised by its closeness, she over reacted, firing half of her entire clip into the beast's body. Half mutilated, the corpse fell to the ground after it hovered in the air for a few more moments. "Wasn't talking about that one, look alive.” As Gine turned again, desperately looking for the other foe, she heard the loud crack of Rook's gun. A split second later, a second bomb crashed to the ground beside her.

"These things float, remember? Consider all directions when you're looking around.” she looked up to the building where Rook was perched, giving her a thumbs up before returning to her quest. To Gine, something about this entire operation seemed. rushed, for lack of a better word. There wasn't a single first class involved, the commander was only a second class, which meant that pretty much everyone there was a third, rookies amongst local. It almost seemed as if they just hastily put together a team of whoever was available.

The only reason that no one else from D was involved was that Gine and Rook were the least injured from the last quest; Kiko had a good number of ribs shattered and who knows what other internal damage, Talon had punctured lung and broken arms, Glare was caught up in some sort of official business, and the other D locals were all on quests. Even Gine got sucked out of her time off by this "emergency” They gave her a few drugs for the pain and sent her off like she was in perfect health when in reality she had several broken ribs.

Yet another bomb floated out from around the next corner. Gine was about to fire when she put her gun on her back and unsheathed her blade. Got to conserve ammunition, if I keep using it up at this rate, I'll be empty by my third kill. Hoping to take the creature by surprise, she charged, upper cutting the monster with her blade at the last second. Her long sword tore across the bomb's flesh, leaving a rather large wound, but the second she made contact, it started to swell, closing up the wound with its spreading mass. The super-sized bomb turned towards her, its fangs forming a menacing grin of sorts. "Aw hell. "

“Cisco Make sure to keep an eye on the horns please.” Gine said via cell phone to her longest running comrade. D Group as they were called, did not have a very good track record. Gine often mused over the fact that almost every quest she had went on every single third class saiyan had a habit of dying on her. Except for Cisco, who had also been promoted recently. She wasn’t quite sure what was going on all across the field, but she tried to use this improve shock absorbing armor to take out the enemies that seemed to flooding the poor 3rd class saiyans. She saw through her scouter a 3rd class saiyan right into a bomb. The bomb began to swell with a malicious grin on its face. IT was going to explode.

“CISCO!” She screamed at the top of her lungs. “Already on it.” Was the response from over the cell phone. Jumped in front of Gine and looked into his face. Gine might not have noticed the gigantic long sword on Cisco’s back, but she soon would when the bomb exploded and it was the only thing protecting them from the flames. Gine pressed her lips together worriedly as she pulled out her radio again. “Don’t take the bombs on with melee weapons gentlemen. They explode, you need to take them out as far away from yourself as possible. Understand?” She questioned through the radio. She didn’t honestly expect an answer but she knew that they would understand.

“How is that guy Cisco?” Cisco looked Gine over and nodded satisfactorily, “He’ll live Gine.” She sighed softly in relief. She didn’t want anyone to die. “Okay Cisco. Have any luck finding out where these things are coming from yet?” the man shook her head. “No clue. I haven’t seen any DIAY operatives. Not even a single man hole is out of place either. I sent a team down to investigate the sewers fully, but they have been reporting back regularly so it looks good down there.” she told her via the phone. “Okay, I think I’ll head over to your position, we’ll have to come the entire area.

I’ll need you to do the manual labor, and we’ll get that guy you just rescued to watch our backs.” Cisco nodded, “Sounds good.” The man looked over at the 3rd class saiyan. “Hey, what unit are you with?” Cisco asked because she really didn’t see enough people with Gine to call it a unit. Shortly afterwards Gine began to make her way down. She was careful not to do anything too stressful, but this job as it were, was one that she couldn’t help but be full with stress. ’How am I suppose to do this through the entire illness? I’m lucky for now because my belly isn’t that big ’ She thought to herself.

She wandered over towards Cisco and Gine. “So did you hear?” She asked Gine. “I would like you to give us some cover while I over see Cisco as she searches through some of the rubble and junk. We’re literally going to leave no stone unturned.” Cisco was a beefy enough man to perform such a feet too. His bulging muscles certainly said something about her capabilities, and the fact that he was in Yaid meant that he was only stronger.

Gine kept slashing, carving up the beast's flesh, but it did no good. It just kept getting bigger and as it grew its wounds kept closing up. She delivered her last slash when the bomb was almost three times its normal size. As this wound was sealed, the third class saiyan was seriously considering getting out of there. Her thoughts were stopped by the sudden presence of a massive man standing in front of her. Her confusion was completely obliterated the second the wave of heat washed over her. The ground were the bomb had been floating above was charred and smoking, the man had saved her life.

"T-Thank you sir.” she heard the crack of Rook's armor tear through the air several times in rapid succession. Her comrade was obviously getting some work done. The commander's warning about using melee weapons buzzed in her ear. Of course she realized that bombs exploded, but this being her first encounter with them, she hadn't expected that swift of a reaction. "Yes ma'am.” she replied through the radio. No matter what problems she normally had with her superiors or the orders they gave her, she did her best to address them respectively, more out of habit than because she had to.

Seeing little more use for her sword, she slid it into its sheath and took her armor back out. Gine kept her eyes locked on Cisco's as the man questioned her. "D Company, Sir, my only squad mate is sniping from the rooftops.” her eyes caught movement behind Cisco, but another loud crack from behind Gine stopped the creature in its tracks, half of its face missing. A few moments later, Gine saw the commander walking up to them. Once again she noticed that he looked familiar, though it never occurred to her that this was the man that she saw at the theatre awhile back, he looked so much different than he once had.

Her eye contact moved from the man to him as she addressed him, she nodded at what might as well have been an order. "Yes ma'am, I'll do what I can.” he turned towards the tower-like building that he had descended from and spoke into her head set. "Rook, see if you can move onto the next building, we're going to need some cover.” A second later, her comrade's voice cracked over the radio. "Roger that.” Gine turned back to the commander. "Alright, where are we headed, ma'am?" "D company.” Cisco said to himself. Gine looked over at the 3rd class saiyan, "We're going to find the largest concentration of Bombs" he announced to them.

"That sounds like the best thing we can do. "'I'm expecting that they are getting in via the sewers or something.” She nodded to herself. “So. if we find a man hole after we locate the highest concentration.” Gine pulled out her radio, "Guys, whose being hit the hardest by the bombs?" She asked over the radio. Up on the building, Rook got back into a standing position and shouldered her gun. He took hold of Gine's rope and coiled it up before turning to the side. Before her was a building that was slightly larger than the one she was perched on.

Grinning, she took the end of the rope and firmly attached it to a grappling hook, which she then loaded into the muzzle of her gun. The local took aim and fired, catching the side of the building. After a bit of effort, she swung on the rope to the next building and hauled herself up the rest of the way. From her new perch she had a commanding view of the entire battle field. Gine nodded to the other. "Yes ma'am.” A moment later she heard a response from the other end of the radio, it was Rook again. "Looks like squad 8 is getting hammered down by the plaza to the south west of your position. They're pretty much surrounded over there.”

While she waited for further instructions, Gine tried to keep alert, shifting her gaze back and forth while she kept a lookout for more monsters near the group. “We’re more or less going to be the only back up they’ll be getting over there.” Gine told Gine before holding the radio to her mouth, “You guys on the Plaza sit tight, my group is moving towards your position to provide support.” Gine looked over to Cisco, “Alright Cisco, lets get going.” The big man pressed his head into his palm, “Be careful Gine, you’re not just the commander of this thing.” Gine nodded to her. ’I know I have yearning for some hurtin. But I can’t let that get in the way. ’“Okay, Cisco, you take point, Gine cover our behinds.”

Cisco lead the group through the construction site, she climbed over several tractors that had broken down and just been left to rot and offered a hand to Gine, helping her over them as well. Occasionally Cisco paid a mind to Gine and offered to help her climb over something, but mostly Cisco was concerned about Gine and for a good reason. He was not only the commander but he was uneasy. They proceeded to the plaza, Cisco would slice the bombs up in front of the group and then use his great long sword to protect them from the blast, while Gine used her shock absorbing armor to take out any nearby bombs on either side of them.

Over all though, the Skill of the two second class saiyans and with the support of Gine and the unseen Rook, allowed the group to reach the plaza in a matter of moments. Gine assessed the situation quickly and made her way to the 8th squad. “Form a defensive Line!” he ordered. He pulled up her radio and spoke to one of the helicopters in the air. “Squad 8 needs some more ammo, drop the ammo crate on the South West Plaza.” he commanded the helicopter. “Okay.” He turned to Cisco and Gine. “These guys will give us a base of operations to work out of from. We need to figure out where they are coming from. For now, gaining control of this plaza isn’t the priority, since Cisco can do that on his own, but performing a strike randomly will be dangerous. ”

"Understood.” Gine took a few steps forward, following behind Gine and Cisco, before turning to face the other direction. "Rook, give those troops some cover while we make our way over, we should have it covered.” Walking backwards, he swept back and forth across the street with her weapon. Not long after they started moving, a bomb turned around the corner. Gine hopped up onto the chassis of a broken down car and opened fire, hitting the beast four times before it went down. Satisfied, she dropped off the vehicle and walked backwards until she found herself with her back against a tractor. Despite Cisco's offered help, she pulled herself over the piece of machinery and went back to work covering their tracks. Besides the first bomb, only one more appeared behind them, which Gine unloaded the rest of her clip into.

All through the trip, Rook was up above taking out bombs in the plaza. Her reticule moved seamlessly from one target to the next, stopping for only a few moments between her shots. She never used more than two rounds on a single target; she never needed any more than that. By the time Gine reached the plaza, she already had six kills. Yet no matter how many were killed, more seemed to keep showing up. A bomb floated down between Gine and Gine, out of both of their firing arcs. Seeing this, Rook made a quick move with her armor and squeezed off a single shot. The bomb moved slightly, leaving the bullet to impact the wall behind the monster. "Wha? . I missed?" her attention was quickly grabbed by a bomb that was biting into one of the other local's shoulder. She changed her target to this and fired again, felling the creature instantly.

Rook's shot pinged off the wall to the side of Gine and buried itself in the ground just as Gine fed her second clip into her machine weapon. She looked up towards Rook quizzically, but she quickly caught sight of what her squad mate was aiming at. The bomb was just behind Gine at this point, hovering a few feet above. Gine dashed to the side and peppered the bomb with a quick burst. The bomb wavered and descended a few feet so that it was directly behind the commander. She rushed up to it and hit it with the butt of her gun, knocking it to the ground before she unloaded another burst into it. That was close.

She now noticed that they had arrived at the plaza and watched as the squad of locals formed up on the commander's order. Without really telling her body to do so, Gine crouched and aimed at the nearest foe. Before she could fire, the bomb dropped, slain. The echoing sound of a armor crack told her that it was Rook's doing. She nodded with approval then turned back to the commander, listening to her explanation.

She stood up, letting her gun hang by its strap while she quickly glanced around. Gine’s plan seemed like the best course of action at the moment, but she couldn't help but see the difficulty in carrying it out. There were too many of the creatures for any easy solution anyway. "Alright, just tell me where to go, ma'am. " Her target was right there, this was her chance. he had come here to do one thing, and this was the perfect chance for her to do it. But the voice in her ear told her otherwise. "Wait for it, if you do it now you will sabotage this quest. Just wait for my signal. "

The voice was right, as always. So, let me explain this situation. First of all, she was on a quest, and the man sitting in the high-backed red chair was the target of this quest. Her quest was to kill this man who was causing so much trouble, and currently she was hiding up in the rafters of the target's mansion, waiting for the perfect opportunity to assassinate him. But her chance proved to be a bad chance, since at that exact moment another man walked in and sat down.

Islandra expected their talk to be short, since it was just a small talk about things that weren't of any important, although Islandra taped it just in case. Their talk lasted for an hour! But as a local, she was expected to pull off her quests without any failures, so she had to make sure that she did this the right way. Finally, the other man left, and the target went back to her paperwork. As she prepared herself for the completion of one of her objectives she slid out her long sword from it's sheath on her back, the steel gleaming slightly.

"Hm, what was-!"

Before the target could finish her sentence, her throat was already cut open. It was perfect, no sound, no evidence that she was even there. Now all she had to do was to get out of here. So she jumped out the way she had came, through the window. She kept to the shadows and hopped over the wall that seperated the mansion from the other residential buildings around it. "Okay, quest completed." "Good, a chopper should be there to pick you up for your next quest. Meet at the drop-off point. Oh, and this time, you have a partner. " Another quest? God, they have her working her ass off, not even a break between the quests. Well, at least this time she would have someone there to help her.

Some would call it rather ironic when someone got promoted only to do the same work she or she had already been doing before they were even being considered for the promotion. In the case of 2nd Class Kiko this fact was true seeing as how, despite being 2nd Class, the majority of the quests she had been undertaking involved much of the same work she did as a 3rd class saiyan. The quest she was about to embark on in itself was pretty much another 3rd class saiyan quest too as it was another she would be conducting with a partner whose rank was lower than her own.

Luckily for Yaid though, not that they would care either way though this is probably why they sent her, the young local didn't care what the quest was she was sent on and would complete the given task. Why was it exactly that Kiko didn't care about what quest she took though? Well that's a simple question my friend and the answer involves the fact that she enjoyed helping people in general, oh, and the fact that at times she could be a lazy bastard.

Here she was, sleeping on the helicopter that was being used to pick up her partner before they were to head off to their next destination, ready to set a bad first impression as she was laying on her side with her hand supporting her head. Hopefully this guy or girl wasn't going to be a stickler to the rules like others were and yell at her for every improper procedure she committed. Oh well, only time would tell should she ever be woken up in the first place. The helicopter was taking forever and a day in Gine's mind.

She didn't exactly want to be doing this quest, but now that she was on it, she just wanted to get it over with and then go back to the barracks and sleep. So as she waited for the chopper, she sat down on the grass and cleaned the blood that had just recently gotten onto the shining steel. She hated it when she got blood on her weapon, but it was a part of her job, so she always cleaned it as soon as she possibly could. And this just so happened to be the perfect time. "Damn, it dried a little bit. "

As soon as she had gotten the blade fully cleaned she heard the sound of the helicopter flying in. Unlike most choppers, this one was practically silent, the only reason Gine even heard it was because her hearing was a little bit better than most other peoples. When the chopper touched down Gine immediately jumped in and sat in the seat. That was when she saw the man who she assumed was her partner for this quest. She was laying down on the floor, presumably sleeping. She also had the uniform of a Second Class saiyan. Why would they send someone of this guy's rank to help him?

"So, who is going to be giving me the briefing on this quest?" It seemed like the pilot didn't know, so either the guy on the floor did, or she would get a call soon from Yaid that would tell them what the hell they were supposed to do. Bunnies and Kitties were running around in fields and playing with each other like no one except Kiko could imagine. As it should have been obvious, that is exactly what the young local was doing since she was still dreaming on the floor. It was a wonderful dream too, some kitties were even playing keyboards and bunnies were hiding in leaves that fell off of the trees.

There was way too much time for Kiko to be dreaming all of this too as it was a rather long helicopter ride to their first destination, to pick up a local who just got off a quest for god knows why seeing as how it would have been faster to just take another if it was this urgent. Seeing as how even the best of activities must end sooner or later Kiko couldn't sleep forever as the sound of someone talking started to rouse her from her position on the floor. The voice was that one which the young local had never heard before so one could only assume it was her partner for the coming quest, whatever that was.

She too had no clue what the quest was. Sadly the local was probably going to regret saying this as Kiko had a very sinister idea for a joke. "The quest is simple my friend, Yaid wants you to have sex with a horse while I video tape it and send it back to show that it was completed," Kiko said as she opened one eye and began to raise from her laying position. She began to laugh a little bit as the thought of having a quest based upon what she said was just so ridiculous it didn't seem like anyone could believe her.

"Just kidding, I honestly figured you were told what the quest was seeing as how I hadn't been told before we departed. At that moment her phone had begun to ring, and she looked at the number on the screen. Yep, it was Yaid, calling to tell her what they were supposed to do on this quest. She flipped the phone open and accepted the incoming call. She then put it on speaker so that Kiko could also hear what the man on the phone was saying. "Gine here." "You have met your partner if I am correct, and I am calling to inform you of your quest for this night. You two have been selected because you have the most potential to complete this quest.

You see, you have to infiltrate a building that is known for manufacturing a drug that could be very dangerous if it is continued to be leaked into the city. So it is yours and Kiko's job to eliminate everyone inside the building as quickly and efficiently as possible within the time frame of an hour. You will also make sure that there is no possible way for any of the drug to survive. So you will burn the building down once you have completed the first objective. I will call after the hour is over to make sure that the quest is complete. There will be no room for errors. *click*"

So you will burn the building down once you have completed the first objective. I will call after the hour is over to make sure that the quest is complete. There will be no room for errors," the quest giving operative then explained before she promptly hung up. Sigh, Yaid was always like this as they gave a quest and expected it to be completed without any questions asked what so ever. "So, I trust you heard that," Gine then questioned to make sure that both of them knew the quest. Kiko was honestly impressed with the 3rd class saiyan’s professionalism and figured this quest was going to go rather smoothly.

"Yep, sure do Gine. Hmm, this quest seems a bit too easy though, I mean why go through the effort of personally killing everyone involved when we can just torch the place and be done with it? Meh, what does it matter, questioning quests never gets us anywhere," Kiko then responded. She was right though, the two were already flying to their destination and their was pretty much nothing that would stop them from arriving. "So, any special way you would like to attempt this quest," the young local finally questioned. "So, any special way you would like to attempt this quest?"

Gine yawned a little bit and then looked over to Kiko. She looked like she was just as fast as Gine, if not way faster. So maybe Gine's way of doing things would work as well for her. "Well, I prefer assassination style's, but I can work with anything you give me. I am pretty fast also, so there is no need to worry about me falling too far behind. But since you are a rank above me, I am guessing that you are probably much faster than me and much more skilled. So the way we do this quest is pretty much all up to you. "

Gine liked being in charge and also liked coming up with her own strategies, but for now she was too tired to think of anything, and she didn't know too much yet about the structure of the building or the number of people that were contained within said building. "So what do you think we should do then miss?" Twilight was breaking over the golden sands of the desert, giving everything an indigo hue. The Saiyan Gine was there to witness the beauty, her partner, the ever chipper Spec Ops Kiko, was not appreciative of it at all, murmuring curses under her breath and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she drove the jeep over the dunes.

“Me, of all people, for a quest at five in the morning, it couldn’t have been an early bird like Tseng, no, it had to be me,” Gine smiled over at Kiko who beat her head lightly against the steering will muttering more curses. “I can drive if you want,” said Gine, who was wide awake.
“And drive us into a somewhere and get us stuck while you run off to wherever it is Yaid wants to keep you from running off to? Not happening. ” Gine looked a little hurt, “you don’t trust me?” “Nope. ” “After all the quests we’ve been on together?” “We’ve been on like three quest yo,” growled the redhead. “Oh, Nevermind then. ”

Having already finished her primary mission, Gine found herself goofing off on another mission to fill up the time. Gine looked over at the desert and went silent, although she was smiling. Today’s quest was to deal with some monsters that had sprung up in the desert. Apparently they were nasty little buggers that Yaid didn’t want breeding. Coming up in front of Gine and Kiko's jeep as they drove through the desert might be an abandoned tent and extinguished campfire circle. The tent looked like it had just been used, while the campfire had been put out the night before. There were a set of tracks in the sand heading south. They had to be very fresh to still be there, since tracks in dry sand weren't known to stay for very long.

The tracks were a little odd looking. One set of foot prints, and another set, but of hand prints. Either something was talking on all fours, or there were two creatures and one was walking on its hands. A good ways further south, the creature who had made those tracks was scampering through the desert at this wee hour of the morning. She was an odd little thing in the desert. Tan skinned, black hair, dark eyes, she looked mostly human, but for some reason she was running on all fours through the desert like a leonine. She was also sniffing at the air desperately as she made her tracks, trying to keep locked onto a smell she picked up.

Giving her completely away as not human was her dark blue and stripped fur on her cat-like ears and tail, which was swaying around behind her helping her keep balance as she charged along. She was wearing a light blue kimono of all things, which normally would have made her stick out like a sore thumb in the desert. But luckily with the indigo hue of the morning she blended in a little bit better with the sands. Her luck continued as she hadn't run into any of the monsters that Gine and Kiko had come to thin out.

But she was too preoccupied to be thinking about the monsters in the desert, and so hadn't been checking her surroundings. If she was being tracked by one of the monsters, for example, she wouldn't have the slightest clue. “What the ,” came the Spec Ops’s voice beside her and Gine looked up, unaware that she had been zoning out. Kiko was leaning forward with her eyes squinted. Gine turned to look and saw a tent. She tilted her head then hopped out of the jeep as Kiko slowed it to a stop. She walked over and pulled her glove off and held it above the makeshift fire pit.

There was no heat, and when she lifted a stick from it there was no warmth coming from it. She dropped the stick and bent to look into the tent, but there was no on inside. “I’ve got tracks,” said Kiko and Gine turned to look. She stood up and walked over and looked at the oddly shaped tracks before looking at where they lead. “Someone’s wandering around a desert full of monsters, do you think we should go help them?”“Wherever that someone is the monsters are most likely to be, so either way, we’re following those tracks,” said Kiko as she walked back to the jeep.

Gine bent down and inspected the tracks for a second before Kiko yelled, “are you coming or what?” Gine stood up and ran back to the jeep sliding into her seat as Kiko began driving off. Gine kept a keep eye on the lookout for someone wandering around. Within moments the sun broke over the horizon and lit up the world, making everything easier to spot. “There’s someone,” said Gine, pointing and Kiko leaned forward squinting, “more like something. ”

Sure enough, as Gine looked closer, the thing was humanoid, but not human. She hopped out of the jeep and rolled slightly as Kiko exclaimed and hit the brakes, sending sand flying over the tires and spraying outwards. Gine carefully approached the thing as it sniffed about the air, looking for something. It did not fit the description of the monsters that Yaid gave her so she was curious to see what it was. The humanoid critter's ears twitched as she heard the jeep approaching. Turning her head to see the vehicle, she was more observant of what had just hopped out of it and into the sand.

The little creature backed up slowly away as the jeep came to a shifting stop. Her attention went back to Gine as she approached her. As she came closer, the little girl shrink down a little, hear cat-like ears pressing down against her head and her metal curling up low to the ground behind her. She looked scared of Gine. Her head then darted around, looking through the desert. She wanted to find a place to hide. A rock. A dune. Anything. But there wasn't anywhere close enough for her to get to very quickly. She didn't seem to want to leave empty space between Gine and herself, though. It made it too easy for her to get near her. Her uniform and helmet didn't make her look all that friendly, either.

Making a desperate attempt to find something to put between Gine and herself, the little child ran for the jeep itself. Circling to Kiko's side of the jeep to keep up as much distance from Gine, she moved on all fours at a decent quickness. She was familiar enough with vehicles to not stand in front of them or their tires, though. Backing away from Kiko as she got near her door, the little critter ran to back of the jeep, finally coming to a stop next to the back tire that was behind Kiko. Bobbing her head up and down, she tried to keep watch of Gine either from under or around the jeep, trying to keep track of her actions.

“She’s uh ,” Kiko began watching the creature run around the jeep, “I have no idea what she is,” she ffnished, opening her door and leaning out to look at her. “looks like she’s scared of me,” said Gine watching her movements. “That’s because you’re a nut job.” Said Kiko.
Gine reached up and took her long sword off, stabbing it into the sand and stepping away from it, hoping to look a bit less intimidating without it. She then held her hands out to show that they were empty before she bent down, “hey, it’s okay,” she said taking off her helmet, “see? I’m not scary. ”
