Beware, the Peetzae

Difficulty: Easy

Description:

Metro West has been terrorized by night time attacks. A monster known as "The Peetzae" is deemed responsible. A bounty has been put on the head of this monster. However, it won't be as easy as you think; the Peetzae is known to possess high speed, and even the ability to use Ki! Coupled with that, reports indicate it seems to have the ability to enter and exit any pitch-black shadow, as if they were portals, or doors.

Tom released a heavy sigh of boredom as he wiped tears away from his sleepy eyes. While paying well, Tom’s job as a bank teller was getting quite tiresome. It was always the same thing, day after day; the same tasks, the same boring clients and the same boredom.

He just wanted some form of excitement, just something new for one day! He wanted it to burst through the door and make his day!

Suddenly, there was a loud pitch scream that rang through the bank’s waiting room. Tom shot his head up from his teller’s bank and saw something disturbing emerging from a shadow against the wall. The menacing figure had a sharp narrow, yellow pale face that seemed to be wrinkled with specs of brown burnt skin. Red circles seemed to be painted around and on his eye sockets and lids. His slender figure was hunched over wielding an empty bag and what appeared to be a large circular blade connected to a rotary handle.

The creature seemed to move about in a delighted way to all the frightful responses from the citizens. Its eyes then locked onto Tom, who was now shivering behind his desk and cursing his desire for excitement. The creature sneered and hissed as it leapt clear across the room and landed right in front of Tom’s counter. It then seemed to disappear underneath the counter top, and then Tom heard a hiss behind him. He turned around and found the demonic creature emerging from his own shadow.

The demon threw his rotary saw in a threatening manner towards Tom, who coward beneath its sharp blade. The yellow, red eyed creature then threw the empty bag upon tom.

FILL IT UP, YOU PATHETIC HUMAN!” the creature spat out, “OR PREPARE TO FACE THE WRAITH OF THE GREAT PEETZAE!

Tom couldn’t help but suddenly snicker at the demon’s name, and he just noticed that the demon’s face seemed to resemble that of a pizza slice. The Great Peetzae snarled at him as it held up its blade to his face.

“Dare you to mock me?!” the demon spat. Realizing the actual danger, Tom hurriedly stuffed the empty bag with cash, and under the direction of the ‘Great Peetzae’, he proceeded to empty the rest of the registers and even the vault itself, filling the bag practically to bursting.

The Peetzae exited the teller’s window through the shadows once more. He now stood by the exit doors and turned around to face all the equally stunned and frightened citizens.

Rue this day humans, the day that the ‘Great Peetzae’ has stricken against you! This day is won for King Rosnar himself, all hail the Demon King!” the Peetzae declared while raising his weapon. He then darted out the doors and into the streets ahead.

Tom peaked out from over his counter, “Well…that was certainly exciting…”

Tohru walked through the streets of Satan City. Shadows extended from the base of the buildings as the sun set in the background. It had been a while since he took a stroll in Satan City, the city structure was quite different from the woodsy backdrop of Roshi’s Training grounds, where Tohru had spent the better part of a month enduring grueling training. However, for one day out of the week, he was given free time to do whatever he pleased. He mostly spent this certain day meeting with his informant known as Fayzr to seek out information on a Demon known as Kang. However, the demon’s whereabouts were practically unknown to even the most vile of underground informants.

Tohru then heard screaming echoing from a nearby building, people began to flee in his direction. He turned and gazed at the building to see a ghastly image through its glass doors. It seemed to be shouting something at the citizens inside the building, and though Tohru couldn’t make out most of what he was saying, he did hear one word that immediately perked his interest.

King Rosnar

He had heard this name only once before, when he had fought against a demon known as Salisify. She had declared that she was attempting to kill Tohru in order to gain a commanding position in Rosnar’s army. She had apparently been recruited to do so by Kang himself.
Tohru began to push himself through the fleeing crowd as he made his way to the bank’s entrance. The glass doors pushed open as the yellow skinned demon shuffled out, dragging three full bags that leaked out cash and coins. The slender demon was cursing as he struggled to hoist them over his shoulder.

“You!” Tohru shouted out as he walked towards the demon. The creature snapped it’s head upwards, almost surprised to see that someone was confronting him. “I’m gonna get right to the point, where did you learn of Rosnar?”

The demon’s expression seemed to be insulted, he quickly studied the towering fighter before him, noting his strange appearance compared to the rest of the citizens of the city. Tohru wore a matching brown weighted cape and turban, and wore a black, sleeveless karate gui underneath. He wore heavy appearing boots with what appeared to be some small wing design on their sides. The yellow demon snarled at Tohru with its red piercing eyes.

You will address my lord and master by KING, you pathetic whelp! And you should still your wagging tongue, for you are speaking to none other than the great Peetzae!

Tohru couldn’t help but chuckle at the name, and how matching his appearance was to what it sounded like, “D-Did…did you just say pizza?”

The demon looked confused, “Why does everyone seem to find amusement in my name?! I’m the Great Peetzae, and those who meet me should cower in fear for I shall soon be a general in the army of the Great Rosnar!

The mention of the demon king’s name twisted Tohru’s amusement into anger, and the Hybrid blasted forward with Bukujustu, launching a knee straight into the face of the Peetzae. The red eyed demon hurled backwards with a groaning pain as his bags spilled open on the ground. The demon landed on his stomach and glanced up at his loot spread across the ground. He cursed as he hurriedly scooped their contents back inside.

“Tell me, for what purpose does a demon king have for human cash?” Tohru inquired in a mocking tone, “To buy a castle or something?”

The Peetzae glared up with glowing eyes, “Fool, King Rosnar will rule this world and bathe it with hellfire! I aim to fill his treasure rooms with relics of the human world! He will be the wealthiest king in all of the realms!

Tohru spat at the demon, “You have five seconds to tell me who informed you of him, and maybe, just maybe I’ll make your death quick.”

The demon smirked with a fanged smile, “No, I don’t think I will human!

The Great Peetzae took a deep breath and opened his mouth. Tohru could see a yellow light emiting from the inside of his throat. The demon then growled as it lurched forward, a giant yellow ki blast launched from his mouth and quickly engulfed the Hybrid.

Tohru was carried back by the burning blow and smashed straight into the back of a car. He cursed aloud as he brushed off the soot and smoke from his weighted cape and gui.

“I really need to learn a ki blast…” Tohru muttered as he leapt off the damaged car.
However, he immediately noticed that the Great Peetzae was no longer where he was stood, and he was nowhere to be seen.

Tohru looked around frantically, expecting some sort of sneak attack. But there was none. Honing in on his Sense ability, Tohru found a demonic like power level far off in another district of the city.

“What the hell…? How did he get so far away?!” Tohru thought aloud, for it was only a few seconds that he took his eyes off the demon.

Yet he wasted no further time as he launched up into the sky and flew towards the demon’s new location.

Tohru now found himself in front of another bank, with a similar sight of people fleeing from its premises. The Peetzae came cursing out the front doors, dragging four large bags of loot. Tohru took note that this demon apparently did not possess a Sense ability, for it did not seem to pick up on Tohru’s location. The Hybrid then swerved downwards and grasped onto the bags of loot. He swung them around with the Peetzae still holding onto them before hurling the Peetzae off into the streets.

As the Peetzae leapt to his feet, he saw Tohru empty his bags of loot and spilling cash and coins all over the asphalt.

“So what do you think your precious demon king will think of you spilling this loot all over the place?” Tohru inquired. The yellow and brown skinned creature snarled at Tohru as it unstrapped its circular saw blade from its back and gripped it tightly in front of it. A long sharp tongue whipped out of the Peetzae’s narrow jaw and licked the blade’s edge.

I’m going to give you the honor of a slow death by the
Great Peetzae! One that will haunt you all the way into the Next Dimension!” with that the Great Peetzae leapt forward, hurling its blade at Tohru.

The Demonic Hybrid danced around the Peetzae’s wild strikes. The yellow demon had no technique in his strikes, and swung with wide angles almost in a dramatic fashion. His blade sung as it swerved and rotated in the air; though the sharpness of the blade was incredible as it cut through the asphalt and concrete of the ground.

Have to keep him alive, need to question him about Kang and Rosnar, Tohru thought.

That’s right, dance for me human! DANCE!” the yellow demon cried out, oblivious to the fact that Tohru was easily dodging his attacks.

Tohru waited for a good opening, and then sent a quick roundhouse kick to the face of the demon, sending him sliding across the hard asphalt. The demon raised itself on his hands, and then spun his head around, blasting off another energy blast from his mouth. Tohru was more prepared and warmed up this time, so he quickly rolled at an angle to avoid the blast. A purple Aura then engulfed him as he powered up his Bukujustu and flew at an angle towards the demon. He sent another round house kick to the face of the demon. The Great Peetzae went crashed into the side of a car, being covered by the glass of the car’s now broken windshields.

The demon shrieked as it noticed that its circular saw now lied before the Hybrid. Tohru smirked as he stood proudly before it.

“I think I’m going to cut me a slice of pizza!” Tohru declared.

The demon seemed to glance around for something, and Tohru thought he was looking for an escape route. However, the Great Peetzae then seemed to set its sight on a long shadow from a light post behind Tohru. The shadow stretched beyond Tohru and the circular weapon and stopped right before the Great Peetzae. The yellow demon sneered as it leapt forward and fell straight into the shadow itself, disappearing into darkness.

Tohru was shocked by this technique; he had never seen anything like it.

This must’ve been how this creature was able to move such far distances, Tohru thought.

He began to use his Sense ability to find the demon’s whereabouts, figuring it had fled to another part of the city.

However, the Great Peetzae suddenly leapt up from the shadows in front of Tohru, grasping onto its saw blade and lunging out at Tohru. The Hybrid cursed as he was barely able to dodge its blade and was cut along the side of his ribs. Tohru wasted no time in countering however, as he swung his back left leg up to take the demon’s head off. Yet the Peetzae once again entered the shadows as it ducked under the kick.

Tohru then suddenly felt a large power level behind him. Instead of dodging, he foolishly turned around only to be engulfed by a similar yellow light. The ki blast carried him all the way into the car that the Peetzae smashed into earlier, shattering it all the more.

As blood leaked from his impacted wound on his head, Tohru growled in anger as he lifted the entire car up, spun around and threw the vehicle towards a sneering Peetzae. The demon once again leapt into the shadows, dodging the vehicle as it tumbled across the street. The Peetzae then leapt out of the light post’s long shadow once again and spun around in a rapid circular rotation, swinging its blade at Tohru.

The Hybrid leapt backwards and found himself completely engulfed by the large shadow of the building behind him. The Peetzae began to jump in and out of the large shadow, appearing in sporadic places around Tohru, cutting the helpless Hybrid with his circular saw with each swing. Tohru cursed as his blood sprayed from his wounds. He was unable to leave the shadow, and his movement was completely controlled by the Peetzae. Tohru had underestimated the demon’s killing ability.

Yet the assault eventually halted, and Tohru stood with blood soaked clothes, frantically gazing around for the next strike. He then heard a hissing laughter from all around him, “Yes, how helpless you must feel right now…it is the same helplessness that the entire human race will feel once my master returns! So savor your next few breaths, for they will be your last, pathetic human!

Tohru closed his eyes, breathing deeply and honing in on his Sense ability. It was his only chance to win this fight. It appeared that while the Peetzae was within the shadows, he couldn’t sense him, but when he exited, Tohru would be able to find him.

And he did, Tohru felt a power level appear suddenly behind him. The Hybrid cried out as he slid back, sending an elbow straight into the gut of the Great Peetzae as the demon leapt from the shadows with its blade held high. The Peetzae gasped as a mixture of saliva and blood sprang from his lips.

“WOLF FANG FIST!” Tohru cried out as he struck with the fury of an animal and laid several hand blows upon the torso of the demon, finishing the hellish combo with a powerful palm heel to the demon’s chest.

The Great Peetzae flew and smacked straight into the brick wall of a building, sliding down to his rump as he dropped his blade to the ground. Blood trailed out of his mouth as his head hung down unconsciously.

Tohru sighed a bit of relief, and swallowed a bit of his pride as he limped over to the defeated demon. He could tell that this creature was not very powerful, yet through Tohru’s own pride, he had allowed the demon to give him a real run for his money. But now he had won, and he was going to take this demon back with him for questioning.

The Hybrid hoped that this would be the key to finding out where Kang resided, and perhaps finding out more about this supposed Demon King Rosnar.
