(Continued from this week’s quests)

The water was cold and the salt definitely stung her eyes. She quickly swam to the surface of the water, just in time to watch the helicopter take off and fly back the way they had come. They were truly only in the quiet now, and Cisco was nowhere in sight. No doubt she had already begun her approach to the island. Gine figured she wouldn’t have to actually submerse herself underwater until she got a bit closer to the island. There wasn’t anyone out this far to detect her, the Helicopter had only dropped them as close as it could before someone might have noticed.

Gine treaded the water for a moment longer as she secured her armor to her back. Directly afterwards she began to form long graceful strokes the sent her body forward through the water. She wasn’t exactly the strongest local in local, but she was physically fit and it showed in the water. Fortunately for Gine she was swimming with the waves that were pushing towards the island instead of against them. Once the island was actually in sight of Gine from the water she began a more silent set of butterfly strokes for their quiet nature.

The sound of the water quietly pulsing was the only sound that accompanied her all the way to the rocks of the sea wall surrounding the island. She heard a fellow walking across the wall above her. Her footsteps sounded as though she had stepped into a puddle of water that had made it over the sea wall. After she had passed Gine began to pull herself out of the foam that was gathering near the sea wall and up the rocks of the sea wall. She kept herself low so that the overhead search lights wouldn’t fall on her and reveal her presence.

She peaked over the wall itself at the base, there was a number of towers with search lights on this side of the island. Surrounding the base was an electric fence. Gine was sure she saw a moth get fried just by flying nearby. The woman hid herself among the rocks again when someone began to pass. “This is going to be extremely difficult. I don’t think I’ll be able to run around with my sniper armor I may have to toss it here.” Gine figured the scouter of the armor would still be useful even if she couldn’t use her gun itself. She pulled off the scouter before jamming the gun in the rocks.

The local whipped out a knife that was tucked into her boots and waited patiently for someone to pass nearby her again. Step. Step. Step. Step. BAM! Gine quickly reached up for the guard’s foot and pulled them down onto the sea wall’s rocks with her. The Guard was totally taken by surprise. She probably didn’t even realize she had a knife jabbed into the base of her neck. Gine pulled off her own ocean water soaked clothes and tossed each article onto her gun. ’I’m glad my boobs aren’t big enough to actually need a bra ’ The local quickly covered herself with the clothing of her enemy and grabbed her gun. She pulled her boots over her own feet, and despite the clothing being a bit too big for her, she figured she would manage.

“Probably would have been smarter to wear a bikini to this quest” Gine was feeling like her wardrobe choice wasn’t the best for an assault by ocean quest. The local pulled herself up and over the sea wall, taking the place of the guard she had just ‘offed’. Gine patrolled a bit, but she wasn’t about to hang around long enough for herself to be discovered. ’Where is my distraction Cisco?’ Almost as if it was cable on demand, the sirens blared and a voice came over the intercom. “Alert, intruder at Eastern Seawall!” “Don’t get yourself killed Cisco.”

Gine ducked into the shadows and began to make her way into the base. There was a large elevator where several armed guards had just exited from. Gine took several looks around hurdling over towards the elevator herself. She ducked inside and hit the first button she saw the only button she saw. The noise from the Elevator activating scared her. She felt that she was going to get caught for sure when the machine began to produce a loud siren of its own. “ARRROOOOGA, ARROOOOGA!!” She winced just slightly. Finally a large crash sounded off and the elevator began to move below the Earth.

She couldn’t help but be a bit on the edge. The Spec Ops hadn’t provided that much information about this base, and what was worse was that they were sending members of local to deal with it in a covert manner. Sometimes Gine forgot that D Group was a special team sent out to perform delicate tasks. Its not like the Spec Ops can be everywhere and do everything after all. Still. She knew that most locals weren’t the kind to be delicate with delicate things. Take Cisco for example: she had a long sword that was twice as tall as she was.

“It didn’t look like they had many Guards, so I think I’m better off staying to the shadows. I hope I don’t have to kill any more people leaving a trail like that could complicate this quest.”Maybe this was why they sent Gine. A sniper. She had proved in the past that she was a delicate kind of person. The right kind of person for dealing with Delicate things. “I swear if anyone else mentions the word ‘Delicate’ I’m going to start taking names and cracking heads.” She watched the wall of the Elevator seemingly stretch up from the floor as the machine continued downwards.

Gine tapped her foot impatiently until it came to an abrupt stop, simultaneously the elevator’s sirens stopped. She managed to make it calmly out of the elevator, trying to blend in with the other guards even though she was probably the only woman on the island. If they even got one good look at her someone would know. Gine eyed a camera in the corner of this underground warehouse and decided it would probably be best to stay out of its line of sight. “Mostly males here, I have to check out what these guys are storing inside of this base here.” Gine made her way towards one of the large crate like objects that seemed to be sitting everyone throughout the warehouse floor, and conveniently enough provided some cover for her to sneak around in.

She lifted up a sheet and examined what was underneath. She saw what appeared to be a large mechanical box. Confused she tapped the protruding control panel and accidently activated it. Gine quickly ducked behind another one of the machines as this machine came to life. The box unfolded and began to form into what looked like a mixture of a lizard and a tank. It stood upright and had two large guns mounted on its arms. The first was a Gatling gun, and the second was a missile launcher. On the machine’s head was a long tank nose that was clearly used to fire high velocity laser rounds at targets.

On the side was a clear logo, “Icefire Machine.” Whatever that thing was, Gine knew for a fact that she didn’t want to screw with it. “Hey! Who touched the machine?!” an angry voice yelled. Gine knew it was time to skedaddle. She ducked behind another of the inactive machines and looked around for an exit. The door slid open when she approached and she couldn’t help feel her heart stop as she thought she made a fatal mistake by rushing through as she ran into a posse of guards escorting a man at gun point. The man held her hands high up into the arm so that everyone could see that she was unarmed and wasn’t trying to escape.

The Guards all gazed at her a moment, and she too gazed back at them, her heart stopped beating. “Ah, Ms. Nedley! Good to see that you made it.” Gine was a bit too stunned to actually make a response. She let her mouth hang open dumbly, but the fellow who addressed her did not miss a single beat. “We’re escorting the prisoner, come with me. I think I’d like a word with you in private anyways!” The look in her eyes told Gine that she had better go with him. She didn’t actually have a choice in this one.

These guards marched down the hall, through the warehouse area that Gine had entered the underground facility through and began to take stairs down. On this even lower floor they brought the prisoner into the holding cells and locked her in. “I want two men guarding this cell at all times. Let’s go Ms. Nedley.” Gine nodded meekly. She eyed the facility carefully, she was a bit fearful for her life, and she was wondering what was making this person so kind to her. She led her up the stairs and towards a special elevator. This one did not look as clunky as the one that Gine had rode earlier.

“This way.” she told her as she boarded and gestured for her to board as well. Once she had stepped foot onto the elevator and the doors had shut she began to speak. “So, little mouse what are you doing sneaking around this place? Friends with that local I bet” he grabbed her chin and gazed into her eyes. “That’s right! Her eyes looked just like that!” Gine pulled away from him, she still had her gun and lifted it up to point it at her. “Don’t touch me!” The man began to laugh, “You wouldn’t dare shoot me. I have your fate in my hands. That is if you truly value your life and the life of your friend.”

“What do you want?” The man eyed her thoughtfully, “Well, what do you want? I’d like to know that much.” Gine frowned at him and said nothing. “Ah well I can only imagine what Yaid would want with us. We are threatening them with destruction after all. Maybe you’ve even come here to destroy this base yourself.” he tilted her his and examined Gine quietly. “No I don’t think so.” Gine lifted the gun so that the barrel was dead even with the man’s head. “Why did you help me?” This man examined his hands, making a fist so he could look at his nails without looking overly feminine. He sighed boredly, “Waste not the flesh. If I can help it. ”

The man licked his lips. “How about it?” Gine glared, “How about what?” she sighed, “Isn’t it obvious? I have the authority to let you run around this base unchecked. You could do anything you wanted, have access to any file.” Gine raised an eyebrow, “In return for what?” The man laughed heartily. “You’re a woman. I’m a man. Men have some special needs.” he smiled broadly. Gine blew his head off. “Umm no thank you.” She told the corpse. Gine searched the man quickly and found out that he was a Lieutenant that helped to run this place. He was really a fool.

She hit a button on the elevator’s panel that would send it back down to the floor she got onto the elevator on. She looked down at the keycard she had pulled off her body before pocketing it. The elevator reached the top level Gine looked up and looked out at the guards standing before her waiting for the Elevator. ’Damn it! Leaving a blood trail already!’ She shot the surprised guards without thought and let the doors of the elevator close quietly. Gine looked down at the corpse while she was waiting for her floor. She could have sworn she saw the body move maybe it was just her imagination.

The doors opened on her floor and she escaped the elevator, hitting the panel one last time so that the elevator went up back to the top floor. She carefully navigated her way around and into the prison block once more. She entered and skillfully took out both guards protecting the cell of the man she saw earlier. She fumbled with the keys of one of the guards for a minute until she managed to unlock the doors. The man inside eyed her carefully. “They finally sent someone to kill me off huh? No witnesses I assume. You’re probably going to kill yourself afterwards too. Crazy enough for that I bet.”

“What?” Gine shook her head at the man, “I’m not here to kill you. I want to know who you are?” The man gazed at her absently, “You mean that you don’t recognize me Ms. Nedley? I’m sure you must have seen my photo a bazillion times. You’re the one that has ordered all the torture sessions after all.” Gine shook her head in her defense. “No! I’m not Nedley; my name is Gine, local 3rd class saiyan. That was just a cover.” The man raised an eyebrow, “Really? Hmph. My name is Baldur. I was a scientist here. ”

“Maybe I can do something about that.” Baldur shook her head at Gine, “Listen, that man who was with you is a sicko. He’s raped some of the dead bodies of the scientists male and female.” Gine held up a hand to stop Baldur’s speech. “I shot him in the head, he’s no longer a problem.” Baldur put a finger to Gine’s lips. “Just let me finish okay?” he asked her. Gine nodded her head slowly. “He has some insane Regenerative powers. I don’t know what he is but it’s almost like he can’t be killed. ”

“What do you mean can’t be killed?” Just then a voice came over the intercom. “Attention, there is an intruder inside the base, activate the Icefire Machines. Search for a female, black hair hair. She is wearing our uniform and armed with an assault rifle.” It was the voice of the man Gine had killed or rather she thought she had killed. ”See? This guy just gets up after he is killed.” Gine frowned, “And now they’ll be looking for me too. So what happens now?” Baldur shrugged at Gine, “You mean you don’t have a plan?” Gine shook her head, “This is the first time I heard that there were any hostages in this base.”

Baldur tapped his foot a moment before raising his head and brightly saying, “I have an idea then. If you can manage to get me into a security room, I can hack into their systems and guide you anywhere you want. Quite possibly I can even stop the Icefire Machines too.” Gine nodded, “It sounds like a plan By the way, just in case I have to go up against one of those Machines, do they have any weak points that I should know about?” Baldur shook her head, “No weak points. You just have to widdle them down and hack them to pieces.” The local 3rd class saiyan couldn’t help but groan as she looked down at her assault gun. “I’m going to need a bigger weapon.” She told the man.

“I understand completely what you mean. I guarantee you that the Icefire Machines that we made are not to be tgund with.” Gine groaned, “Just stop talking, I don’t want to hear how bad I’ll get my butt kicked okay?” Baldur nodded. Gine decided to peek out into the hallway, it was clear for now. “I seriously am going to need a bigger gun if I’m going to keep you alive. Do you know if there is an armory nearby?” Baldur nodded once again, “Yes, there is one on this level. We’ll need to cross this hallway and take a left, at the second door we pass we’ll need to take a right and it’ll be at the end of the hallway. ”

“Roger.” She told Baldur, peeking outside into the hall again. Her quick eyes spotted an Icefire Machine exit the elevator and begin a patrol on this level. She looked over her shoulder at Baldur. “We’re going to have to be extra careful.” She told her before stepping out into the hallway. She waited until the Machine had left to search some cranny or another before quickly and quietly moving down the hallway and moved down the left as Baldur had instructed. She made sure Baldur was still behind her. He was. “So far so good.” She sighed in relief too soon.

The Machine with its keen senses snapped about and began to run after them. The large noises of its steps told Gine long before it had even gotten close it was time to run. She looked over at Baldur, shoving her forward she yelled to her, “Run! Run! RUN!” The Scientist didn’t need to be told twice. Gine began to run too, she fired a few rounds over her shoulders at the Machine, noting how the bullets clearly just rattled against the Machine’s hull. “Fuck.” As Gine ran forward, another Machine burst from a wall in front of her. It opened fire with its Gatling
weapon. The local let herself hit the ground and let her momentum force her into a slide underneath the machine’s feet. “Eat THIS!” She opened fire again, emptying the assault armor fully upon the underside of the Machine. It turned out, much like she expected: The Machine simply ignored the bullets. Now she had two Icefire Machines on her tail. They were both unloading hundreds of bullets that either grazed or missed her. Lucky she was pretty quick. The dropped the assault armor she was carrying and let herself slip down the corridor to the right. “Was it the right? Where the bloody did Baldur run off to?” Gine figured that he must have taken a wrong turn in order for her to no longer have Baldur in her sight.

“So much for a big weapon.” She complained to herself as she considered the wrong directions. “I’ll probably run into more of these things if I keep running. I need to find somewhere to hide.” Gine turned a corner to the left and found a dead end. Well there was a box, and she was desperate. Gine ran to the box and pulled it over her head and prayed. The Icefire Machines approached, stared at her inside of the box, and left. “What what the hell.” she was scared or maybe surprised. Gine peeked out from underneath the box at the hallway before her. “Lucky.” She whispered to herself.

The 3rd class saiyan examined the box she had hid under. It was pretty standard looking with the exception of a barcode on the top of it. Whatever that barcode was telling these robots Gine had to test this theory. She while wearing this box began to sneak around. She ran into one of the robots and stood still with the box over her head. The Machine glared at her for a moment but otherwise completely ignored her. She was almost skittish at the way the robots seemed to ignore this box. “What’s the likely hood of having a box at the end of a hallway like this?” She asked herself.

“As long as I don’t run into any of the guards here I should be just fine.”
She thought to herself. “I need to back track now and find that armory. Was it to the right? Yeah I think so.” Gine managed to make her way through corridors without much fuss with this box on her head. It made the robots ignore her, but the people would still give her grief if they saw her. She was careful about moving around and finally opened the armory and met Baldur inside. “Finally. What happened?” He shrugged, “I got delayed, but I found a POWER BOX!” Gine held out the box to Baldur so he could examine it.

“Power box ?” she questioned, looking at its well fairly ordinary details. Gine quickly responded with a nod, “That would be correct sir.” Baldur looked at the barcode again, “This must be the reason why they leave you alone if you wear this box on your head.” she tossed the box to the side. “You shouldn’t need it anymore after I give you this.” she walked through several rows of guns lined up on the shelves and opened up a locker on the other side of the room. “The last gun ever created by Yaid’s weapon smith.” Gine nearly did a double flip from where she was standing but managed to contain herself.

“Oh! Are you kidding? Is this really that weapon?” Baldur scratched her head, “Well. umm. yeah.” It took her a moment to digest what she had said before she finally went out and asked, “Where did you even hear about this gun?” Gine held out her hands in an explanatory manner, “Well, I happen to own two of the Five guns he has made.” She told Baldur. “Two of them? Are you kidding?” Gine nodded, “And I shot him in the head too.” Baldur’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. “You shot the weapon smith? Oh Geez In any case we don’t have time for this now. ”

“Hey, aren’t you going to give me that gun?” Baldur shook her head no, “Not after what I heard you did to the weapon smith.” Gine sighed, “Fine how much?” Baldur smiled and nodded at last. “Well I’ll take at least 4,000 zeni.” Gine rolled her eyes and produced 4,100 zeni and handed it to Baldur. “and 100 for the tip. By the way I might tell you the location of one of the guns I own if you give me something too.” Baldur shrugged and handed Gine a little bit back of what he had given her. “I’ll bite.” he told her.

“Well I left my long sword double X one nine six on the sea wall jammed between some rocks.” Baldur frowned, “Mistreating such a wonderful weapon.” he complained to her. Gine shook her head, “Honestly, I had no choice but to leave it there.” Baldur glared a moment longer before she finally said, “Well whatever. Just listen up I need you to get me inside of a security station From there I can reprogram the robots and take over the island.” Gine nodded. “I also have a team mate on this island. She has a giant sword, so make sure they don’t take her out.” Gine popped a bullet into the chamber of the weapon and smiled. It felt so righteous.

“Here, put that box on your head, just in case. I think it might keep you alive.” Gine suggested. She tested to see if the box really would fit over her head, and it did. “Just stay low to the ground and hope nothing accidently hits you.” Baldur nodded even if she rolled her eyes like the whole thing was ridiculous. ’Might just save your life. ’ She thought to herself. Gine peeked outside into the hallway. It seemed she was doing a lot of peeking lately. ’They really should have called in the Spec Ops and had them do this quest. ’

Gine was ready. They began to sneak down the hallway, careful of the machines as they made their rounds. The Icefire Machines might have looked scary, but against the BOX OF POWER, they were helpless. They couldn’t tell up from down when it came to the box of power. “There There should be a security outlet over here” Baldur was telling Gine. She nodded and began to head down the way she was pointing. This hallway opened up into a large room like area where she noticed something odd Icefire Machines standing in a row behind the man she had shot earlier. “I told you that I held your life in my hands.” he laughed at Gine.

Suddenly the roof came crashing in and Cisco stood by Gine’s side with her humongous long sword fully drew. “Hmph. so much for Recon.” she grunted towards Gine. She shrugged and held up her new gun at the Icefire Machines. “GET THEM!” Yelled the officer. The Machines began to move forward, immediately all seven of them opened fire with their Gatling guns. Cisco quickly used his Giant long sword to Shield herself and Gine while Gine jumped up into the air and fired a precision shot into one of the machine’s Gatling guns.

Cisco took a large swing at the machines, but they all avoided her like him was a person trying to swat a fly. He was too clumsy it seemed to hit them. “Damn.” he cursed loud enough for Gine to hear. The seven were now split apart, three of them were firing at Cisco and two at Gine. A missile launched from one of the machine’s second arms at Gine. She avoided the attack and let it take out another Icefire Machine. Gine aimed and fired a huge shell from her weapon into the Icefire Machine. “This is why I love Yaid.” The huge bullet bore a decent sized whole into the robot’s chest and made it fall down and deactivate.

“I’ll cover you!” Cisco yelled. He jumped in front of Gine and used his monstrous long sword to protect her and himself from the pounding of the Gatling guns. Gine quickly took out each Gatling gun one by one. It was mostly through trick shots were she had the bullets ricochet off of various things to hit the arms of the robots and ruin the circuits. Suddenly all of the machine began to fire their lasers. Cisco tried to protect Gine from a laser, but the laze blew a huge whole in her long sword and sent her flying into a wall. Gine gasped as she was forced to avoid the monstrous attacks one after another.

“You’re all MINE!” She told the robots shooting, but only to have her bullet devoured by the energy of a laser that was headed towards her. She ducked and turned to point her gun at the machines again it was they stopped. “Huh?” Baldur must have done it. In fact she knew he had because he came back with a huge grin on his face. “Heh while you guys were fighting I went ahead and took over.” The officer was outraged. “Kill them! Kill them!” The machines gave him no response.

The officer pulled out her own hand gun and was about to fire while one of the robots stepped on him and began to unload several laser rounds into her head. There was nothing left of her body when the machines were done with her. Baldur chuckled. “Lets see him regenerate from that.” she nodded Victoriously. “Alright. Call Yaid and tell them that we got control of the base.” Gine nodded at Baldur. Oh how she was going to get it. They sent her here for a spy quest, not to take it over herself. Maybe she would get a reward though you could never know with Yaid.

Gine wandered over to a charred Cisco who was clearly still alive and picked his phone off of him. “Hope you don’t mind. I’m borrowing your phone.” She told him. He nodded and gritted his teeth as he tried to stand on her own. “Yaid HQ reconnaissance failure, we ended up taking over the island.” There was a muffle from the other side of the phone before Gine heard, “Acknowledged D Group, we’ll send some forces to take over from here.”

"That idiot store clerk. She forgot my change." Gine sighed, picking through a small bag of tiny trinkets and other items. The large beige hat protected her eyes from the sun, And her ears from the public. She was nearing the West City airport, Though she was just going to take a short cut, Until she passed an alley and saw a shimmering light in the corner of her eye. A dark figure caught her attention, It seemed to be a man and he was jumping up to the roof. Curious, Gine followed this stranger. She slowly made her way up the fire escape that hung off the building.

Her saiyan reflexes allowed her to move silently yet quickly as she reached the top and saw the figure facing the opposing direction. The man seemed to be looking for something, or maybe someone. Gine dared not disturb this man, he was obviously armed and dangerous. The man placed his hand on the handle of his sword as he slowly removed it. He kept his eyes on the street below as she walked on the edge of the rooftop. She knew she felt something. she suddenly looks behind her and spotted a figure. She spotted the sword at it and it suddenly started to glow black.

He suddenly got a clear view of what he was aiming and lowers his sword. “Who are you?” he asks emotionless. Could it be? That her acts in the airport where spotted? That surely meant that someone was harmed. she takes a step backwards, turning her emotionless face into worried one. “I didn’t mean to.” she adds shaking her head. 'Didn't mean to?? Didn't mean to what?? This guy is a looney.' Gine thought. The young demon kept silent, Her cat-like eyes were locked on this man. She felt a swift breeze coming, and it began to grow stronger. Gine's hood became loose, and blew off. Gine watched in horror as it fell to the ground.

"Oh, No!" Her ears perked straight up, she had been revealed. She ducked down again, climbing down a few ladders then finally jumping to the ground.' Hide. Hide, I need to find somewhere to hide!' The man eyes widened and she smiled. The saiyan girl jumped down from the building and the man had vanished. She re-appears down below, right in front of him. He hums a little tune and looks down on her as she twirls a very familiar hat around her fingers. “A saiyan girl. How interesting.” he says admiring the creature before him. “I’ve read about you. West city. is truly a peculiar city.

I think this belongs to you does it not. Miss.?” he asks as she returns to her the hood that was at the mercy of the wind. She suddenly forgot about the events before. She couldn’t be a guard, or else they’d be fighting now and now she was the frightened one. Saiyans are supposed to have the same rights as humans, though there is some discrimination here and there. Some things sadly never change. Gine grabs the hood, quickly pulling it far down on her head and over her eyes. She mumbled a soft, "Thanks" before turning on her heels to face the opening of the alley.

There she stopped, staring into the faces of the towns folk passing the alleyway. “That was a marvelous trick back there, They way you move so fast. I've never seen such a thing, not in a long time." The young demon began, turning his grinning features towards the woman, "Your not human either, are you?" Clearly this man was a bit more sagacious than she, she had more experience. No amateur could perform a task as agile and alert as this man that stood just a few feet behind Gine. He chuckled of embarrassment. He wasn’t used to compliments. He was only criticized as a demon.

Always punched down by his master and treated like trash, until he was reborn. 21 years of complimenting does not easily replace thousands of years of pushing down. She was about to leave the little Saiyan be, when she turned around and said those words. The man was shocked, but she shrugged it off with a chuckle. Seems he has been discovered, after 21 years in this human body, it was about time. “You are half correct.” he scratched the back of his head, trying to find the right words. “I was originally a demon, but I was given a second chance.” he finally said. He didn’t feel too comfortable talking about that. the words came out of his mouth on their own, while she was thinking of some lie.

“And you are a Saiyan. right Gine.?” she had involuntarily taken a peak inside her mind and discovered her name, she only realizes too late, but keeps a warm smile on her face. "hmm. What?. How did. my.you know my name?!? What are you, Some stalker freak!?!?" Gine turned back to face the opening of the alley, A look of malice on his face. The young Saiyan girl walked back into the crowded streets, disappearing amongst these city-dwelling humans. 'How dare he! Use my name like that. He has no right. Gine was gripping her bag so tightly, She could feel a small box being crushed. People on the streets began to stare. Gine merely let the crumbled bag, and it's contents, drop into a waste-disposal at her side.

The man stared at the ground. How careless of him. He simply couldn’t let her go now. They’ll probably meet again, and with that emotion growing inside of her. She might end up trying to kill, and she hated to kill. He loved the thrill of a good fight, but killing was something that was taboo to him. The man vanishes from the alleyway and a blur jumps through the alleyways as it makes it way toward the rooftops. It didn’t take long to catch up to her that he lands right in front of her. He waved her hands in front of his face. “I apologize for doing that. I had no right. please.”

The thick crowd walked around her, as they didn’t notice her sudden appearance. City people. they were so distant, it was almost scary. “I am not a freak..” she said sadly. The last words she said before walking away pierced her. Some can grow immune to physical harm, but none was safe from the psychological ones and that was her main weakness. Gine sighed, Of course they were freaks. Freaks of nature, Being one whole of two parts, It just wasn't right. "What I said might be a little harsh. but. Look, It's the truth. Species like you and me. We're different. Some people don't like that, and they make fun of us and turn us away from them. I would know, I'm sure most demons and Saiyans would know."

The man laughed again. You say that as if only humans are capable of such harsh action. He removed his glove and stared at his hand, images of his demon life flashed before her eyes. She clenched her fist as she snapped back to reality. “Humans aren’t the only one capable of such things. You are lucky; humans are nice compared to other races. You wouldn’t believe the pain I went trough.” he kept her eyes locked on her, but he wasn’t looking at her. He was imagining all the things that had been done to him in the past, none of them being when he became human. “I can empathize with the wrongdoing that you have suffered through the humans. but there is less in this city, or so it is said. but Demons have had it worse.” she looks in the horizon and the orange glow slowly disappears. “Nightfall.” she whispers.

Gine lowered her head, Unseen scars were being reopened as memories of a lost love filled her mind. ".You wouldn't believe the pain I went through." the man spoke. The Saiyan girl seemed not to noticed, her eyes were covered by the rim of her hat. She just stood, Silent, Still. Tears began swelling up in her eyes, but no one could see. No one could tell. Gine lifted a hand to her face, rubbing and blinking away the tears. 'No, not here. I can't show my weakness here. If I keep this up, I’ll be depressed for days on end.'

The man realizes what her words were doing. He did not mean to. Seems she is as helpless as the other races. He hides one eye underneath his palm. “It’s getting late and the city is dangerous at night. Would you mind if I escort you back to your home?” he asked, noticing the tears on the ground. She had to think of something else, she couldn’t stay depressed all her new life. she couldn’t forget her past either.. To think, if she hadn’t kept them, she might’ve turned up to be a normal human, or mocked because of her black eyes.

Now wasn’t the time to think of the past, the horrible past, that haunts her too. She removes her glove and extends a hand in her direction. “My name is Wackoi, pleased to meet you.” he said with a smile. Gine glanced up, revealing her bright red eyes. She slapped away Wackoi’s hand abruptly. "No, I challenge you to a duel." She smirked, Though she had no idea what this man was capable of. She took her hat off, throwing it to the ground. The sun was setting, the streets were almost bare. Here Gine didn't have to wear any protective clothing, Not at all.

She moved into a fighting position, Her ears had flattened against her head. "But, to make this fight interesting, lets wage a gamble. If I win, You leave this city." The man looked at her and laughs. “Very well, but I add a rule.” he walked away as she reached for his sword. He turned around, and stared at the Saiyan. “No flying and if I win, you become my student.” she laughed again as she ran toward her opponent. She swings her sword inches from her eyes and pulls it backward and replaces it with a glowing palm. She lets out a small ki blast from her palm. The blast shouldn’t do her that much damage, unless she manages to avoid it.

Gine merely blinked as the sword flew past her, Though she was a little surprised when the man launched a counter ki blast against her. 'He's going easy on me, Isn't he? Or. he's studying my movements. Sly dog.' Gine flipped backwards some, the Ki blast following the movements of her feet. It simply whizzed past her as she regained her standing position. "No holding back, either. We're going head on, and since you're using weapons. So will I." Gine whipped out her own balded weapon then launched herself towards Wackoi. "Take that!" Gine repeatedly swung the weapons at Wackoi.

“Me? Holding back? Do not be. He paused as he brought his sword to block one of her swings. “.Ridiculous.” he added as he stepped backwards and blocks most of her attacks. He winces as he received a cut on his shoulder. He lowers herself to one knee and blocked both of her strikes. “Pretty straightforward are we not?” he taunted as a ki shield enveloped him and pushed him backwards. He touched his injury and his white glove became red. She has potential. He removed his gloves and stuffed them in his coat. He swung his blade three times in the air, and those three times a black crescent was formed and was heading for Gine. “Might I add. those are very beautiful blades you are holding.”

in both of her palms.

Well that fight wasn’t very fruitful. Gine soon won and ended up going on to do something else. Gine was minding her own business, taking a small break behind a movie theater in an alley when a tall muscled stranger wearing a Diay uniform began yelling at her. “Hey, kid! You can’t do that here! Get out of here!” The Diay then commented on Gine’s size. “Damn, that is one big chest. I’d let you mount me any day of the week.” As he continued starting lustily at the woman, Gine gazed back at him, puzzled.

The Diay shook his head and walked toward Gine to enforce the law as was his duty, but Gine didn’t take too kindly to his advances. She turned around, ready to fight while her exposed stuff thudded audibly against the nearing Diay’s waist. The man stopped and smiled at the girl, making Gine feel rather uncomfortable. Gine dealt with the pervert by deliver a swift kick into her groin. The Diay crumpled to the ground in expected agony. “You little fucker. I’m going to cut you up for that!” he angrily hissed.

fighting from firsthand experience, she intercepted the sword with her protected left wrist.

The Diay looked at Gine, dumbfounded as though no one had ever blocked one of her attacks before. Gine seized the moment and punched her opponent in the gut. The Diay dropped his weapon, clenched his stomach, and stumbled back a few steps. He leaned over and vomited uncontrollably onto the ground. He blew chunks a second time while Gine jumped above him and knocked him out cold by slamming a gauntlet covered fist onto the Diay’s unprotect head. Gine left the alley and rounded the corner, heading toward the theater entrance. She walked inside where an employee soon intercepted her and prohibited her from going any further into the building. “I’m sorry, miss, but if you want to go any further, I need to see your ticket. If you don’t have one you can buy one.” The older teen said.

Gine walked back toward the entrance just as two geek teenage boys stepped inside. Both of them laughed at each other as though one of them had said something funny; they stopped in front of the ticket counter. Gine walked over to them and curiously investigated what they were doing. “Two tickets to see Zombie Land.” The customer that looked older from the countless number of pimples on the back of her neck, requested. A beautiful young woman with flawless golden blond hair and unrealistically large breasts walked over and gave them their tickets. Gine moved forward when the two teens moved out of her way. She smiled at the employee in complete admiration. “Hello, what movie would you like to see?” He asked.

Gine merely stood while staring at the guy drooling at the woman. She in turn gave him a look of disgust that Gine may have recognized. That is to say she would have recognized it had she not been involved in a daydream involving her monster within and the lovely naked movie theater employee. She must have gotten frightened by her tail or something. “You’re a YAID, right? Aren’t you going to do something?” The nearby theater manager asked the YAID.

“I just got off duty ten minutes ago. It’s not my problem, dude. Call in some Diay if you have to. Hey, look, there’s one now.” she said while pointing toward the bruised Diay Gine recently defeated. The Diay was limping her way pathetically into the theater while moaning, “I need to use your phone.” she then fell onto her front, gasping for breath. She even threw up for a third time that day. “He’ll take care of your problem, yep. He’s your guy. Now if you excuse me, I’m just going to go enjoy the film.” she then dashed off to see her movie while screaming, “ZOMBIE LAND, HERE I COME, BABY!”

The theater manager threw her hands up in the air in frustration before she called for mall security to deal with the boy. There was no way in hell she was going to go near the disturbing and possibly even disturbed child. Meanwhile, Gine had completely gotten lost in a day dream. The girl who had aroused the ticket guy left her station and made an emergency trip to the little girl’s room to throw up. Gine was too far involved with her own pleasure to notice her absence. She soon came and sprayed the nearby fallen Diay with a powerful and long-lasting stream of cum. “Oh yeah, I knew you’d come to see things my way.” The Diay muttered then giggled. “Get it? Come? Ha! I made a funny.”

The small theater’s only security officer ran forward from seemingly nowhere and grabbed onto Gine from behind. The physical contact immediately ended her fantasy. She reacted violently to the latest development by bending low and jumping toward the ceiling. The adult trying to escort her off the premises went through the air with Gine and struck the ceiling. The collision lost her grip on the adolescent and her consciousness. Gine landed and ran out of the theater to avoid another confrontation. On her way out the door, she used one hand to try stuffing her weapon back into her shorts.

The movie wasn’t that great anyways. Welp, it was time to go running out of town! The heat of the desert was picking up as what seeming like a flaming comet shot through the hot air. It was a blur, but two shapes that looked like feet under the flames, were running against the hot sand. As Gine ran across the desert, mile after mile passing her by she could feel the heat rising as the sun rose over the horizon and sunlight bathed Gine like a hot bath. She could feel the flames of her ki grow, but her body was getting hotter and sorer, the headache increasing, and her will to survive growing with every step. She could feel her muscles aching, screaming for her to stop and take a break, but she refused over and over again to stop.

If she didn't make it out of this barren wasteland she felt she never would. She was lonely, just as she was when her parents were taken from her and her brother disappeared. She was lonely, wishing for destruction wishing for pain and suffering to the people that were responsible. She was wishing for the combat that she so dearly needed. She needed something to destroy, something to bring pain and sorrow to. She was going to have to relieve this displeasure by any means.

She also wished that she could come across some peasants, or a small town where she could disappear and live peacefully. She feared someone would come looking for her, but she would gladly kill them to keep her serenity. Gine smiled even as she gasped for a break, even as she reached with her arms and legs trying to run faster and faster, trying to get out, trying to get free of the wasteland. As she ran she could feel the air flying by her fueling the ki flames that flowed around her body turning her into what could only be described a meteor that ran along the sand. With every step a hole was left, a dune was destroyed, and Gine got closer and closer to her objective. As grass came into sight only miles away, as trees began come appear over the horizon Gine began to feel the pain in her muscles disappear, the headache disappear from her mind, and only thoughts of inflicting pain upon others stay in her mind.

to test the power of the humans, to see what they could achieve with their maximum potential.

But these thoughts were for later, right now Gine was only concerned with getting out of the desert and right when she reached the edge of the desert, right when she climbed the last sand dune and grass was only inches away, she decided, well it was decided for her that she would crash to the ground, exhausted. Her body collapsed over the line, it had been days since she had seen a piece of grass. She was finally out of the desert, out of the sands that got everywhere and made her bored. She rolled into grassland and lay there, waiting.

As Gine emerged from the flames of the desert she emerged to a new place; a forest where with just a few bursts of her flaming fists, would turn into a fiery inferno and burn to dust. And therefore as Gine walked into the lush forest she thought of drawing a ki flame into her fist. It was made her hand glow a red and black, blacker than the darkness of space, her eyes redder than fire itself that burned in her fingertips. She quickly extinguished it and continued. As she walked through the lush forest, she could see the animals going about their business until she walked by.

But as she walked passed the animals watched her, as those they were protecting something, as though they were afraid that she would destroy their homes. Gine smiled as she thought of this. She was not a threat to anyone unless they wanted her to be. As the animals ran, Gine looked around, hoping, just hoping she might come upon a town, a small town where she could disappear, where she could slip in amongst every last person inside and fade into a normal life.

As she walked she left footprints on the grass, crushing the life from anything underneath the steps she took. She could barely contain the flames inside of him; she could barely hold them in so that she did not set the whole forest on fire. Even though she wished too she had to find out what was inside before she lost control of it all, before she destroyed everything these animals had worked for, their lives. As she walked she began to get into the training mood. She walked up to a tree examining it. Gine then began to send a flaming punch through it. The tree exploded in flame, but Gine didn’t stop there.

She started to punch the tree continually. Punch after punch, kick after kick, Gine started to decimate the massive tree trunk. But whenever she attacked it, she tried her best to hit it just barely, just barely enough to chip off a small piece of it. With every attack she could feel the strain of trying to stop her fists, her feet, from smashing the tree into pieces with a single attack. The tree was still on fire, a blazing spire, but it didn’t fall. Eventually she couldn't hold her own strength back and put her fist through the center of it. When she drew it back the tree exploded into hundreds of pieces of flame and splinters and she smiled still very impressed with her own strength.

She moved onto another tree doing the same exercise, working harder and harder, sweat pouring down her as her muscles began to ache and she felt that same burning sensation, that same burning sensation that wanted her to just unleash the fires within her, to burn everything down to the ground. but she had to wait, she had to see what was farther inside. As she continued her walk, she flipped and did a somersault, jumping higher and higher until she was standing on the tree tops. She jumped on the top of another tree and as she did so she felt it sink into the ground from her weight. When she leaped from it the tree fell to the ground broken. The same thing happened with the next tree and the next tree until when she finally met the ground, it looked like hundreds of trees had fallen and Gine’s legs were burning as though she had ran a thousand miles. She had to figure out how she could lower her ki necessary to walk on the tree limbs.

Jumping to the next tree, she succeeded in staying upright. her ki focused through her feet. As she walked on limbs of the forest trees, sunlight peaked through cracks in the leaves bathing Gine in heat. She loved the feeling, but had had a lot of that in the desert so she was not tired of the feeling. As she walked, she could feel a slight cool breeze that made her forget about her anger, made her forget about her hate, but no. She could see something up ahead. Something that resembled a house, possibly a town..

As Gine emerged from the shadows of the trees, the moon rising and darkness spreading throughout the forest, she could see not one, not two, but at least fifteen wooden houses forming a town. Many of the houses had their lights on and nobody was outside, but probably preparing to go to sleep. A smile crossed Gine’s face as she realized how lucky she was to find a town here in peace, away from civilization. And now, Gine would fulfill her need for sleep. As she stepped into the clearing where there were no trees as though the townrs had cut a huge circle into the forest just for their town, Gine felt the desire to sleep, but something was amidst.

The Saiyan watched a man with a sword fly from above and start what would soon be known as chaos. From what Gine saw, the man wore an all-black warrior suit complete with light armor around her forearm, shins, and chest. The warrior unleashed the flames from her with a proper dragon flame technique and once again became surrounded by the fires of her ki. The warrior started with the closest house to her, putting her fist through the wall and setting the house on fire. She then blocked the door and the windows and watched in extreme satisfaction as the inhabitants inside screamed for mercy, screamed in agony in pain, screamed in a music that the warrior had waited far too long for. She smiled as people began to run out of their houses in fear, pointing at the warrior as though she was some sort of monster. She could hear them calling out at her.

"Monster, how could you do that to innocent people?" They screamed, and the warrior replied with this; she opened her mouth letting out a breath as she tried to find the words. But with no real avail, the warrior fired balls of ki into them, which turned everyone in front of her into dust, blackened piles of bones on the ground. It was rather odd because ki normally could not be expelled that way, especially like that fire balls she had produced. All those that remained inside the next house the warrior proceeded to massacre them as well, this time not burning those inside, but taking each one individually, holding them in front of another one of the family members, and tearing them into pieces, leaving them piles of flesh and bones and blood.

Screams of terror echoed around the warrior like a symphony of sorrow. It was as though she danced from house to house, burning, tearing, blowing people to bits in the most brutal of ways. She was enjoying herself so much she couldn't even stop herself from laughing as she massacred the town, one by one. And when several warriors appeared to fight her, it reminded her of the nightmare she had had, accept for that fact that this time there was only two of them. But no matter, they were still no match for the warrior. Gine could only watch as she stood on the edge of a tree just watching.

She took one, ripping her in half with her sword, and then began to beat the other with the pieces until they turned into a bloody mess in her hands from the extreme beating she had gave them. Brave fighters kept leaping at her attacking her regardless of the power she was putting out, and they learned the hard way that that was not a good idea. The attacks the warrior hit them with were devastating, consuming the warrior’s lives easily, burning them to a crisp as they were weak and used swords of weak material. When the town was up in flames, every last inhabitant slaughtered the warrior stood in the inferno laughing as the smoke from the town rose higher and higher into the air. She walked slowly towards the cover of the trees, bringing her flames back into her body so that she may once again walk into the forest without demolishing it. With a big smile on her face, the warrior walked away from the destruction she had had so much causing. Gine followed, trying to see what exactly she was.

It was still night as the warrior walked through the silent forest, animals scattering at the sight of her. She was starting to feel a little bit of ache in her muscles, but it was all forgotten as she relived the feeling of destruction she had just experienced. It had been so long. So very long since she had felt such a thing. So long that the warrior had not remembered what it felt like to cause pain till this very night. She walked slowly as though taking as much time as possible, and in the bushes she could hear something as well as sense something. Something was following her. and the warrior wished to meet it. She turned around suddenly to find a rather small boy standing in front of her. The warrior smiled as she got into offensive position before leaping at the man, her hand bursting into flames.

Gine smirked. This flame shield technique had definitely changed her personality for the worse. The warrior grunted. The warrior used her fist as a weapon as she punched at the boy, who tried to dodge the warrior's attack except it didn’t work. The punch, with all of the warrior’s strength and weight in it, sent the man slamming into the ground. The warrior's strength was great, and if the boy hoped to even be a challenge he would have to use his speed. The warrior knew this and knew she would most likely have to predict where to punch next and attack there, not where the warrior was currently standing.

The warrior smiled as the fighter leaped at her, surprising her but impressing her with her speed. The warrior simply covered herself with her arms and blocked every attack from the man before grabbing her and throwing him through several trees before he was able to stop herself. The warrior grinned as she saw the fighter get up. Most humans would have died from that or at least broken a few bones, yet this one seemed unhurt. They leaped at each other exchanging hits.

Gine was experimenting, producing a low level of ki to formulate her attacks. She didn’t want to bring her ki out to much; she had to learn how to ration it to conserve the little ki that she did have. In doing so, she would preserve her ki for later on in the fight. If she planned this right, the Saiyan could balance out the difference in their skills. This change, she hoped, would be enough to cause a shift to balance out the battle.

It was with little luck, because Gine was tiring regardless. Her opponent was overly powerful and equally agile. Gine jumped back as she dodged a kick that was aimed for her face with a rather graceful back flip. The warrior jumped into the air, and flew towards Gine, the young man did likewise. As their fists met each other they could see the strain in the bodies, the strain in their muscles as their fists met each other’s bodies with great strength. As they punched at each other it was as though this boy was as strong as the warrior, taking every punch.

The warrior could feel her blood heating up, her will to win beginning to take over. She could feel the flames of energy surround her and begin to light up, but she couldn't destroy the forest just yet. There was still more to gain, more to take, more to kill, and the warrior would rather take her time than destroy it all at once. Eventually the warrior jumped back, her feet digging into the ground as she landed, and she began to shoot ki blast after ki blast. The boy watched and simply deflected and sliced through them with his blade. He jumped right at the warrior elbowing her in the chest. The warrior showed a look of surprise for a few moments before grabbing the boy in a great bear hug. She then began to squeeze harder and harder.

As Gine screamed, wiggling her body in great pain and agony, the warrior could hear her bones breaking, her muscles stretching, and the screams of the fighter growing louder and louder until it was all was quiet in the forest once again. The woman was bigger and the bear hug from her was just the trick to kill the boy, or so she thought. The warrior released the fighter and watched as the corpse fell to the ground, a bloody mess. She looked down and smirked, “You are strong good sir, but to have similar strength as myself is not enough. To believe in peace you must attach that attribute to every aspect of your being. When you do, there is a spot in the world for you.” The warrior smiled as she walked off into the shadow. Into the darkness once again.

The Saiyan awoke her body still sore from the beating she had received prior to falling on the ground. She was lucky to be alive; she knew that and was happy about it. She went to move her frame, but it was hard to. Her bones were probably badly fractured and she needed medical attention. Slowly getting to her feet, Gine forced herself to walk forward and made a way towards civilization. As she moved, she didn’t notice the elevation change and was soon in a cold forest. The ground was hard because of the permafrost that was coating the trees.

She would have to concentrate on walking on the ice, or she could try something that many warrior before her do. Looking up, Gine jumped to the top of the tree line, and balanced her body on the smaller branches. She stumbled for a while because of the pain as well as her struggle to remain center wasn’t the easiest. The branch was small and she was tired as it was. She had to focus on the little bit of ki that she had left. She had to manage the ki to the point, because if she didn’t, she wouldn’t have the strength to get home. Her stamina was low as it was but she continued to try. She concentrated as she moved her ki into her feet, a faint blue surrounding them. Smirking, she took a step on an extremely small branch that would have normally snapped under her weight. To her surprise, it didn’t break and she balanced on it.

“That’s amazing.” she muttered, as she made her way back to the Dawn town. She could barely think; she could barely hold herself together. The events of the past few days had been a blur. What was this the world that she lived in now? If Yaid was an organization that promoted peace, why had the warrior destroyed the town like she had? There were multiple questions that the young Saiyan had that only one person could answer.

heat, but it bothered Gine that she stuck out in the snow like a watermelon in a basket of grapes. She shivered softly in the cold and pressed her lips together as the snow blasted against her face once more. It was really obnoxious to be cold and warm at the same time.

It wasn’t long before Gine made it back to Dawn. It was that type of peace that Gine enjoyed the most. It was the calm serenity that echoed from the forest beyond the town of Dawn. It was in this area that Gine had decided to train for the moment. Her current task was to learn to manipulate powerful ki besides that of which she already knew. Today's task was that of using the earth to her advantage. All that she knew about earth was that the ground beneath her was cold and muddy. She had little real desire to learn any more than that, but she continued anyway.

She would have moved from in the tree of which she sat but she had seen the activity below. It was a bandit camp; an army of rather unskilled ruffians and thieves, nothing that she couldn't take care of. But she didn't have time for that, she had come to try and find a place to train. She grasped her forehead protector and tucked it inside of her back pouch. If the bandits recognized her as a warrior of a town, or hidden place, she may be worse than if they had just found her alone with no affiliation whatsoever.

Her gaze turned to that of what appeared to be their leader. She was a rather large woman, her appearance was indeed gruff. Her skin was blemished, her head bald for some reason, and her muscles rather toned. The figure could have been in her early thirties or late twenties; it was a guess that Gine didn't care to find the truth. The figures below were a moving quickly, probably gearing up to take on robbing some merchant convoy; Gine didn't care, she would only want to know if there was a skilled fighter among them.

From what she saw, not even the leader of the group would have been a big threat to her. The man was strong, she could easily hold multiple weapons of massive weight, but from her movements showed, she was awkward and clumsy. Gine chuckled, but soon drew a hand over her mouth. She didn't want to be heard, her presence would be like a shadow, only when she wanted to be known would she be. Walking down the incline, Gine concentrated on moving to the ground on the opposite side of the bark facing away from the encampment. When she reached the ground, she was received with blades pointed at her neck. She had just been captured. Soon after she was brought to her knees and stripped of what was her weapons. She smirked as her guess was right; the leader was the bald man.

"Who are you?" “I'm the daughter of a farmer. I'm lost." Gine lied, everyone knew it. She had just been caught scaling down the side of a hill with her ki alone. And in this world, know how to manipulate ki on that level would certainly mean one was a warrior, plain and simple. So she was no excuse for the chorus of how she was lying. The leader didn't want to hear it, she silence them with a wave of her hand, "Fine, child, we know you are a warrior, but if you want to be scared about it then we shall kill you." she raised a dagger to Gine's neck as the Saiyan secretly planned a replacement technique.

Choosing against it quickly, Gine looked up, "Okay, I give up, I'm actually a warrior. But I was trained at Roshi’s place." The bandits laughed, they had caught a has-been, or so they thought. Gine bowed her head, pretending to feel disgusted. She laid back down as they continued with their plans. Gine was thrown in a prison close by: a caged cell that was ten foot by ten foot. She waited as the bandits went along with their pillaging. She sat back on the dirt floor and tried to form energy with her ki. She watched as she was incapable of doing anything about it. her situation was grim; she had limited energy to be dealing with them since she was trying to train. She choose against trying to fight back.

When the bandits returned with their spoils, Gine was joined by one of the monks from the town she had visited earlier. He smiled, "Gine, right?" The Saiyan nodded, "Yes, I remember you, sempai." They talked for a moment about how they both had gotten there, and how they planned to bargain their way out. But Gine didn't want to bargain, she would rather fight. She was supposed to be a smart warrior, she would fight her way out. She rose and turned away for the monk. "Is there any way we can get out by force?"

"Well," started the monk, "I do know some fancy techniques. Want to see a few?" Gine turned, her prayers had been answered, she had found someone knowledgeable in the field she required. She watched her for the a few steps to form tangible ki. Before them, outside the cage formed a mini golem. The bandits looked on in awe, their opponent was now a copy of earth. It was still forming when it was attacked with a throwing knife. It hit the surface of the golem and bounced away.

Gine smiled as she formed ki blasts to compliment the golem. This golem was like a copy of the old monk, but it was huge. Its massive figure was due to the fact that it was a walking boulder or so it seemed. How was this even possible using ki? Gine turned to the monk then back to the golem. They both watched as the golem took on the bandits, knocking away weapons with little annoyance to her true mission which was to free them both. When the "boulder" had nearly finished, it swung a mighty fist which crashed into the cage and left it open for them to escape.

Gine was quick to move, jumping from the ground, to the side of a tree, and then flying from branch to branch. The monk was not far behind, since she had to stop and break concentrate on the clone. The golem fell to the ground and dissolved back into dust. Gine had seen the work of the being and smiled. "That was amazing, sempai." Gine said as she jumped to the next tree. "It was nothing, just a little ki, and a bit dust and rock." he chuckled. "Sempai, can you teach me to use the earth like that?" Gine asked, looking away from her trajectory. "We can try, Gine, you shouldn't have left town. You were a great student at Grand Master's Roshi. He will be pleased to see you again."

Gine smirked, she had enjoyed the Roshi’s. The people there were kind and had given her so much. She probably could have become the town leader once the old man had moved on. She remembered the look in her eyes, it proved just that. But now was not a time for training or even focusing on that for any matter. They were followed close behind by the remaining bandits. Instead of continuing to run and try to evade them, Gine decided it would be easier to turn and fight. She dropped the ground, the monk standing behind him. "I'll protect you, sempai, leave them to me."

Gine watched the three bandits before her with her eyes. Which one will get it first? They were all armed with small arms; swords, daggers, and small curve blades of the sort. It would have been wise to consider using a weapon, but Gine knew that she could easily cause sufficient damage with her fists alone. The bandit first bandit rushed forward, his sword raised high aimed at the Saiyan's head. Gine easily tilted her body, ducking the blow and hitting the man in the stomach with a back fist.

She then spun to the bandit's side, and pulled her knee into his gut. She didn't watch the man fall, but the remaining bandits behind her. The move that she pulled over was so flawlessly committed that it scared them. Gine knew this because of the look on their faces. They all stepped back and watched their partner fall. Gine smirked as she finished the man by stepping on her neck, breaking it from extremely concentrated pressure on the spinal cord.

Gine then moved her hands to her sides, grabbing her iron sais. She wouldn't be using them as an offensive weapon like they were designed but to defend herself from their blades. She stepped forward, parrying both of their blades, but they were quicker then Gine had imagined and both aimed separate fists at the boy's face and stomach. Using their blades as a anchor, Gine lifted her body and sprung up into the air, spiraling over them in a somersault. When she landed, she fired her fist to punch them both in the face with a single blow. But that was not the end of her attack, her foot followed suit and tripped the stunned warriors to their knees.

From there, she stood over them, but she knew she was not finished, the leader was close behind. She stood on close by, watching her friends fall to defeat at the hands of the single, young warrior. Gine smiled, she detected her by using her common sense. She was not going to attack, but wait for Gine to turn her back and start to motion for the monk to get ready to leave. That was when the series of needles flew from the concealed location of the leader. Gine was not phased and took the blow, or so it seemed. As for Gine she stood behind the bald man with a blade across his neck. "Too easy." Gine smirked as she slashed the blade across her throat. It was simple, she had just eliminated a groups of easy bandits with little effort. But that was not the end of her journey, she would continue to go with the monk back to the town and continue her training with Roshi for the time being.

Gine wandered the streets. She was silent, and she was thinking. She looked up at the sky. It was pure blue of course with not a cloud in sight. The sun weltered down upon the town. It baked the houses. Infect, it was because of the sun that the houses were so strong. Anyway, she continued to walk down the road. She ignored everyone, not wanting to speak. She kept walking until she came to the center of the town. Here there was a water fountain. The water in the town came from a deep underground river. She went over to it and sat down on its edge. She didn't have her special container with her, but she didn't always need it after all, being in a desert after all. All the special of her land was at the mercy of her soul.

Kirei continued to run blindly, annoying pain buzzing in her eye. She barely missed a cart full of merchandise as she bolted through the streets of the town. She kept on running, until she got the stupid bug out of her eye. her vision was fuzzy, so she blinked a few times, until she saw clearly. Luckily, she was able to see a figure in front of her just before impact. Unluckily, she tried to stop but only skipped across the hard ground and smacked right into an unlucky person.

idea.

"O no, I a-am s-so s-s-sorry M-Miss Saiyan." Said Kirei, close to tears and bowing down with her hands over her head. Gine looked down at her shadow as she thought of all that she’d learned recently. Life was not a game. It was not a toy. It was something else.he tried to think of something for it, getting random images that weren't too kind, but then her thoughts were stopped as some annoying kid not too much younger than herself came stampeding forward.

Being suddenly lost from her thoughts, she soon found herself pushed backwards into the fountain. Now Gine was awake with burning rage, after she’d managed to actually spend a few hours not being angry for once. The twelve year old Saiyan got out of the water fountain and jumped down onto the ground. A cloud of special erupted up and spread out, expressing her anger. She was soaked and in her clothes, something that NEVER happened, but with the cloud of special, the wind blew her now messy black hair somewhat dry.

"Shut up! I don't want to hear your apology! You ruined my day!" she said harshly. She stepped forward a bit, out of the cloud. her bright green eyes surrounded by thick black circles shone. She looked at her rude acquaintance, awaiting another stupid thing to come out of her mouth. However, she did think she liked being called miss. People rarely called her that. Kirei looked up and saw a cloud of special. This was a Saiyan. Only they controlled the desert in this area with so much skill. Kirei had heard of these people. All of them ran the Dawn town, no matter their age. Kirei hoped she wouldn't die as she continued groveling at Gine's feet.

"Miss Saiyan please! Don't hurt me please! I am so sorry!" Continued Kirei, beginning to replace sadness with anger. A fight raged inside her. She wanted so bad to kill this idiot, and end this conflict, but the repercussions would be endless and the Saiyan race would want vengeance, and her mother would suffer. That could not happen. At the thought of her mother, Kirei calmed down, and she gained control of her anger. Her mind raced, she had to escape this woman’s wrath. She decided that there was nothing she could do, and sadness embodied her. She collapsed to the ground, crying. "Please! Don’t hurt.me" she sobbed, rocking herself on the ground. "I just wanted to make a friend!" she howled.

Gine thought this girl was pathetic. She hardly liked anyone, especially someone who ruined her day. Why would she want to be friends with some begging kid? She was however not the stupidest of kids, even if she was a fool. She feared Gine, and that fear was real. Gine remembered though, not too long ago she was the one who got picked on by other kids in the older town. The special was calm, and Gine walked over to this girl, and stood over her. her face was frowning, but not angry. She just looked down at her, and then she finally said, more calmly, "What's your name? I am Saiyan, Gine."

Kirei's waterfall of tears came to and end as she noticed the Saiyan boy did not intend to hurt her anymore. She looked up and stared Gine in the eye, stating, "I am Kirei Tokagawa." Kirei then stood up, slowly. She wiped the snot from her nose and the tears that stained her face. Then, she stood face to face with the Saiyan child and mumbled, "I am really sorry." He wondered, that now, that she was spared, that she could stretch her luck and get training from this master warrior.

If that was possible, it was worth a try, so Kirei decided to test her luck. "I was wondering if maybe. You could help train me.my Roshi teacher told me that many of the children in my class are stronger than me, and that cannot happen. I have to be the strongest. You understand, don't you?" Said Kirei, gaining strength behind her voice with every word. A cruel smile played slowly over Gine's mouth as she looked across at Kirei, then she said, "Here, Kirei!" And a blast of special pounded forward directed at Kirei's chest. Gine folded her arms and stood where she was.

"Don't be sorry, just fight me, if you can. The first lesson is this." she said, trailing off as more special flew across towards Kirei. "Pain and suffering. If you cannot withstand pain and suffering, you cannot become a warrior and you will never be stronger than than a single tiny insect." The special blasted Kirei straight in the chest, sending her rolling across the street, where she bumped into a wall and stopped. She gasped, and panted. That attack ad knocked the wind out of her. She slowly stood up, the brave flame of determination burning bright in her eyes. She squared her stance and drew up her ki.

Then, she honed in on her ki. With this done, Kirei grabbed five blade from her pocket, and as she touched each one, they busted into flames. Armed and dangerous, Kirei sprinted towards Gine. As she neared the next blast of special, Kirei dove the left and threw three of her blade at Gine. The blade raced towards their target, flames trailing the blade like a comet and its trail. Kirei hadn't intended to do this, it was just her anger that had gripped her. She was angry that this kid would strike her unaware.

Now, she wouldn't hold back, and she would show Gine, show everyone, what she was capable of. As she attacked, her eyes flickered with the fire of anger, and suffering. Then, just as the Blade were about to hit their target, Kirei declared, "How could you!" she continued, "Why would you do that?!" Then, Kirei hit the ground and quickly got to her feet, clutching her two burning blades. She slowly inched toward her enemy, Gine, as she intended to attack close range after her other attack missed or hit.

"You're a fool, you haven't suffered anything yet!" Gine declared. her arm came up to block the burning blade, and seeing her rush forward, she made the ki swirl intensely around her. The ki completely blocked the way of Kirei, and she pushed her hands forward. The wall of special lashed out at her opponent like angry tentacles. "Didn't you know that people put out camp fires with this shit?" she asked. Kirei wasn't surprised when everything she had attempted had been blocked.

She had nothing left in her arsenal to throw as this areole. She was a student after all, against a 3rd class saiyan. As she was thinking of her next move, Kirei was smashed against the wall by special, and it pinned her to the wall. Grimacing, she declared, "You’re an idiot, just because I am at a disadvantage doesn't mean I will ever stop trying! Never, ever, will I stop fighting, because the day I stop fighting is the day I die!" A fire raged in her eyes, and with her last word, she struggled and struggled to get free. She set her jaws as a lonely tear fell down her face. She could not get free of this special attack, but that didn't mean she would ever stop trying to get free.

Gine didn't appreciate being called an idiot, but she didn't let it get to her. This "foe" wasn't even worth her time. The only thing that she kept on at this was her anger, from everything that'd happened in her life. It made Gine what she was today. The arms that would grasp Kirei, grabbed around her, as Gine moved her hands to clutch. She squeezed Kirei hard. She didn't crush her per say, but the only reason she didn't kill Kirei was because she had to be a Roshi student. Being a Roshi student meant that master would be mad at her if she killed one of his students. She didn't want to shatter the band of trust she’d recently gotten from her.

So, instead, for fun, Gine moved her arm from side to side in a jerking motion. She slammed the arms holding Kirei hard into the ground, swinging the body from side to side ending in a smack each time. She would continue to do this until she heard or saw what she wanted to see. Kirei felt her entire body scream as she was squished, but she didn't say a word. She just stared at her foe as she was squeezed and smacked. She whimpered a little every time she got smacked into the walls, but she was determined not to show this enemy the feeling of pain. But, when she was thrown to the left and then to the right, Kirei could not help it.

She felt sick, and puke came up in her throat, and then, when she got smacked onto the wall, she hurled. A mess of green and orange and bright purple spilled onto the arms that had a hold over her. She would not last long in this position, because already she was beginning to pass out. Gine saw her torture as she puked. Now she squeezed Kirei tighter, for just an instant, and she threw her against the wall as hard as she could. Then the special fell off Kirei and onto the ground. "Thank you, Kirei." Gine said, coolly.

The young Saiyan stepped forward. By now her clothes were much drier, thanks to the sun. She had a look on her face that seemed so innocent as she walked up to Kirei. Once again, she looked down at the boy who had fallen. She was hoping she’d learned her lesson about not watching where she was going. The next time she got bumped into something by Kirei, she wouldn't be so nice about it. Kirei stood up, wobbling around like Jello. Then, she stood up fully and looked straight at Gine, and said, "Could you. Please train me?" with a small smile.

She needed to be trained, and surely after this weird person’s change in personality, she would help a child. If not, Kirei would continue looking for someone else to help her. She didn't care that Gine had tortured her, she could forgive, as long as she trained her. After seeing the power of special, though, Kirei wanted so bad to control the ki just like Gine, from now on, she planned to try and learn some special technique.

Gine smiled and closed her eyes, laughing. Where her eyes were closed were deep black ovals. "Me? Train you? I'd kill you, and you know it. I'm not going to train you. Not in the way you want anyhow. You want me to train you? You've just had a sample. You can never have the power I have. It swallows, consumes.it deprives. It rages on in a storm, forever. I don't even know why I'm telling you this." she said. She had stopped laughing, and she opened her green eyes again. Then she turned from Kirei as someone approached them from behind.

There stood a woman. She was taller than both of the boys with long brown hair pulled in a bun at the right side in a red ribbon. She had lightly tanned skin, glowing yellow eyes, and wore a red training outfit and black specially. She carried with her a giant sword on her back, and two fans at her sides. She smiled at them and then she spoke, "Are we playing nice children?" Kirei frowned as Gine spoke. The frown was not in sadness, but in anger. She needed to be trained, and this was a guy that could easily train her in the ways of the desert. Kirei was about to open her mouth and say something stupid when Gine turned around.

Kirei screwed her face up and looked at what was approaching. It was a woman, and a pretty woman at that. She was built like a runner, lean yet strong. She had the most beautiful eyes Kirei had ever seen. When she spoke, it woke Kirei from her trance. Kirei stuttered, then blushed as she said, "Yes miss." Then, she walked away from Gine to put as much distance between them as possible. After that, she noticed that the pretty lady was a warrior! She had weapons and she was even built like a warrior, and a very professional one at that. She ran up to her, and looked up, deep into her eyes.

Then, she said, "Miss, could you please train me? I tried to get her," Kirei pointed to Gine, then at her bruises forming around her body, "but she hurt me and refused. Could you train me, please? It is my goal in life to be strong enough to survive, and to not fall behind my peers. I am already at a disadvantage, as I have no ability!" she said this with an urgency that made it sound like the most important thing in the world. Gine glared back at Kirei as Kirei's face got angry. She didn't say anything, and she was waiting for Kirei to say another stupid thing. But then Kirei turned away from her and ran up to the women.

She wasn't surprised, but she felt something in her, the loneliness. Did she feel sorry for Kirei? No one would ever know, as all she did was remain silent and blink, her face was blank, and her eyes were harsh. The woman looked at the two young adults. She saw one was Gine a Saiyan, for she'd heard about the trouble she caused, breaking a roof on a building not too long ago in a bout with her brother. But she looked at the new little Roshi student and saw a whole nother story. This boy didn't know how things worked around here. one doesn't ask for training, one receives training if they are selected, or, they train themselves.

"My name is Tsurugi, Mia, and don't whine. Whining won't get you anywhere. Do not beg, for you will not receive. You seem to be the type to learn from mistakes." She said to Kirei. Then she turned her face towards Gine. Gine looked back at her. She didn't leave, because she was trying to be "good". Whoever this person was, she was skilled and wise, even if her style obviously was not her type to learn. "Saiyan, Gine correct?" Mia asked her. Gine nodded. "You did a good job. A 3rd class saiyan does not teach Roshi students. A sempai does. But next time, leave the punishment to your elders. Now, you are dismissed Gine. Go about your previous business and I will handle this one." Mia told Gine, sternly, yet as gentle as she could. She knew about the traits of the Saiyan and didn't wish to upset Gine.

Gine nodded slightly, and she leapt up into a cloth covering a door, pinned up by poles and ascended to the roof. However, once on the roof, she crouched down, and watched, barely propping her head over the small covering she had. Mia turned to little Kirei once more and she waited for her to speak. Kirei waited for Gine to be punished, but instead, she was. Apparently, Gine had done the correct thing in beating up a child younger and less experienced than herself. She had done the correct thing in torturing a child. Kirei's face burned with rage, and she felt like ripping out Gine's lungs. But she didn't because she couldn't. That was what Kirei hated about herself. She could never do anything that required skill or strength. She intended to change that.

As Mia Tsurugi spoke, Kirei looked to the left and the right. She listened to her words carefully and nodded. She was correct, she learned from her painful mistakes. Already, today she had learned a very important lesson; never cross a Saiyan. That is one thing Kirei would be more wary of next time. Once Mia was finished speaking, Kirei stepped back and said, with a sad "Sorry, I didn't know. I will take my leave now." And, with that, she turned and ran down the streets, this time actually looking out for obstacles. She turned down the next left street, then left again. She did this until she came in a full circle and she was behind Miss Mia. Then, she waited and watched patiently. She wanted to see what this lady was all about. She had nothing better to do anyways.

Mia watched the girl run off. She didn't pursue her. Instead she stood where she was. She opened her ki to the feeling of the wind. She concentrated and felt the boy, through the wind current. She was coming back. She waited, and then when she came up behind her, she turned around. Gine watched from the roof with a bit of an amazed expression. How did she know she would come back? she didn't know. "So, Kirei. I can see determination in you. Do you really want me to teach you? I can teach you. I've seen your strength and you took a good beating." Mia Tsurugi asked Kirei. She was serious. She knew that with a little time, if this boy really had it in her, she could help her, on side of her Roshi training of course.

Kirei had no idea how Mia had found her, she was bewildered. "It must be some special technique" she thought to herself. She stepped forward from her hiding spot behind a building and approached her. Then, she listened to her speak. To this, Kirei replied, proud. "Yes, Miss Mia, I really want you to teach me. I have a disadvantage in Roshi’s place already, and I promised myself I wouldn't fall behind." Then, Kirei awaited Mia's response with vigor. She needed this lady to teach her, or else she might end up the weakest in her class, and that could not happen. If this lady would not teach her, then she would have to go off and train on her own. And that could be dangerous.
Mia smiled a bit cruelly at Kirei, and she said, putting a hand on her hip, "Very well. Go clean yourself up, and take a rest. Tomorrow after school you will go to the Black Star Dojo. I will be there waiting for you, and our training will begin." Said Mia Tsurugi. She smiled at Kirei, and she turned around, and walked down the street. Gine grumbled, a weakling like Kirei going to be trained. But then again, it was not really her business. After seeing her leave, she decided she would go as well. She needed her own training to do, out in the desert away from the Town, where she felt the most grueling pain.

Kirei was excited, and she left with gusto. Gine was also listening from a distance. Perhaps she would join and make sure this girl didn’t end up being so much trouble. It had been quite a while since had left last morning, and she decided it was almost time for dinner at home. Happily, she jogged home to a comfortable night and evening. She couldn't wait to see what this lady Mia would teach her. The young 3rd class saiyan woke for a good day of training. She appeared by the window seal. Cracking it open to get the breeze. She then felt the mourning breath along her chest. The mourning breath gave a chill as the white eyed 3rd class saiyan steped into the shower. She then get ready for the day that was to come. For now, she would take a rest and head home.

Gine left her apartment deciding on a course of action. She had not learned of a way to learn ki. She then walked over to a food shop. She took seat and asked for chicken noodle. She looked around the shop, still scarfing down food. The 3rd class saiyan sat still trying to think of a good way to train. She finished her food leaving a small tip and the bill. Gine walked around the town looking for any warrior. She was in hope that she could learn from one of them. She was seeing no one around the large town.

She then reached a high point in the town. She could see everywhere around the town now. Gine was coming up with no Solution to her problem. Gine sat down on a bench, so that she could think to herself. She sat on the bench, then thought of another skilled 3rd class saiyan . She couldn’t think of her name. She was happy in knowing that she was a skilled in ki. She then ran around the town looking for the girl. She thought of every place she might be, even if she had never talked to her. She looked on the right side of the town then back to the left side. She was hoping she could find her before nightfall.

She then started getting tired running around the large town. She had looked almost everywhere in this town. She then told everyone she saw if you see the 3rd class, tell her that Gine is in the merchant area looking for you. She then waited in the merchant area for the girl. She hoped that one of the five that knew the girl would tell her. A gentle breeze made its appearance felt. The crisp morning sunlight graced the whole of Dawn. It was one of those days that made Kiko felt all giddy inside. A choir of birds sang to an unknown tune as the trees and its leaves danced in the merry melody. The Yaid, equally beautiful and tempting, kept an insincere smile close to her lips. It was a weapon, concealed and ready for use. Kiko was all too familiar with it.

Her calm platinum ponytail swayed in the majesty of the wind. She walked through the many ants going about their everyday lives. Dawn was a place of commerce, a never ending tale of city life and mid-status drudgery. For Kiko, it was a place of opportunities; somewhere she can just be a shadow amidst the cold souls she did not know. "Kiko." Her longtime companion, a calm and cold voice inside her head, broke her peace. If she didn't have control, she would have struck the passing merchant donning an arrogant smile. "Release me." The voice's words never changed, it remained the same as if she had a script of her own.

Brushing aside strands of displaced hair, she went on her way and ignored the monotonous voice. It was her break, Kati had given her something worth her salt. It was a beautiful day to be at peace, to just go on with life. Kiko thought so but she had a grave feeling something was going to tear that vision down. "Kiko, you have done well for me. Would you like to get something in return?" Kati asked her the same question hours ago, in the presence of the boss who had a faux smile.

Kiko couldn't care less of whatever she had to give her. If it was another lame mission, she was good for it. She had finished more of Kati's missions for Dawn than for her own. Along with their training sessions, she was quite eager to prove she was not a shrimp as The boss would joke. "A mission?" Those were the first to come out of her, she caught Kati's attention who was busy drinking rather than looking her in the eye. "Actually, a break. but if you want-" Kati was cut off by the 3rd class.

Her black hair remained calm as silver streaks glistened in the morning light. Out on the porch, the sun could tower over everything, even over Bide's Blue Rage. "A break it is." With a smile, she hurried to go. She had wanted a day to herself. Maybe this would be the stress reliever she gravely needed. She trudged along the same path as she did once. Reminiscing over what had happened over the past few years, she thought about the future. with everything that she had gone through, she was quite skeptic about anything else. She was tired, she wanted to just fade away and forever go to sleep. But she thought otherwise. She knew it would be a cold day in hell before someone like her gets peace, someone of the Yaid.
"Eh?" Rustling over the bushes behind her caught her attention. Quickly, she grabbed her Sharkskin dagger inside her pocket. She was used to being stalked. fighting wasn't a new thing for this damsel. A small girl sat in the bushes near Kiko. She saw her sharkskin knife that had been drawn. The rough girl stood there in awe. The birds over her head sang a light tone. The girl then spoke to the girl. "Hmm" she sighed Lightly "There is another 3rd class saiyan by the name of Gine looking for you." The girl then spoke out of turn "She said nothing of what she wanted." The girl was very bizarre to look too. Most would try, and avoid so no begging could be involved.

Over in the merchant corner, near a Food shop. Gine sat at the merchant shop, she was thought of other ways to train. She had waited about forty minutes. The skilled 3rd class saiyan stood up to take a look around. Then in the moment of desperation, she wondered of there was any 3rd class saiyan that would teach her. She thought of every 3rd class saiyan she had known. Not many in her count maybe one. Then giving up on the idea. The woman looked into the sky to see a few little birds flying. She said to herself lightly "Why are we not as free as they are." Gine looked back to the straight street in front of her.

The teenager started for her apartment for it was become dusk slowly. She thought about the female 3rd class saiyan . Wondered if the message reached her ear. The 3rd class saiyan wondered if she knew what she would look like. She moved along the long path that was the merchant corner. She was getting tired and was drawing near to her apartment. The young 3rd class saiyan stopped just before turning into the living area. She heard a faint crash in the distance. Passing merchants side stepped as Gine walked toward the noise.

Kiko looked at the girl in curiosity. She had come from nowhere. It was amazing for her to have crept up on a warrior without even getting noticed. Kiko looked at her intently, observing anything and everything about this stranger. She was wearing rugs, red hair unkempt, and dirt everywhere. She looked like a beggar. In the streets of Dawn, she thought if people like her thrived. It would be quite amusing if she only went to see her. With her renowned smile, she walked up to her slowly.

"Really now? And how'd you-" As she came closer to her, her words trailed off. She was surprised, shell shocked, at what she saw. An impending danger, the girl donned her worst fear. She began to take notice of the awkward silence. She started to stir. She got up and started to slowly walk up to her. Her face was askew with a mockery of a smile. She was disgusted but her facial expression led the girl if she had suffered from a mild stroke. "Are you-" As the girl tried touching her, she grew more fearful. In a frenzy, she shouted at the top of her lungs and ran away.

"Aiyee!" Kiko comically ran off to the stalls, not noticing she was about to crash. She just wanted to get away from that kid. She feared the kid. That kid was taboo to her. She never wanted to see that kid again, not with snot dripping from her nose. In such an unfeminine manner, she crashed through a stall of watermelons. Crash! "What the hell?" The fat vendor, a man of great stature and smell, exclaimed as she failed to notice the impending event before it had happened. The noise bothered the passerby, as well as the nearby merchants. The whole sound, the crash, broke the monotonous drudgery of everyday life. It was heard all over Dawn, she thought it.

She couldn't have been more right. As she emerged from the mess, the menacing stare of the owner dawned on her. Everyone stared at her for a second before bursting into laughter. Painted with watermelon goo, Kiko bowed her head in shame. Gine thought about the faint sound to her left. She then walked down a short street. The street was packed with people. The loud nose of people threw off her thinking. She was normally laid back. Still the day was becoming a nuisance for her. The young 3rd class saiyan eyes traveled back and forth. She was not finding the cause of the noise. The young 3rd class saiyan read the signs as her eyes traveled. Gine asked a few passing travelers.

The travelers pointed her in one direction. The 3rd class saiyan saw the other teenager. The 3rd class saiyan noticed the gathered crowd around her. She was the one" she thought to herself "Thats the girl." she then said low "She will train me she has too." She then stepped over to the girl. She then said at her reach "Need Any Help?" moments later she says "there things i would like to talk to you about" she then studied her face and her body. She was a girl that she would love to look at more than once. Her face was fair skinned and very smooth looking. She looked at her long pulled up her.

She wished she could know more about her at this point. Wondered if they could become good friends. If this training will bring them closer. She says once again to her "Need Help?" Now Sending her hand close to her. Gine Studied her body at this point. She was a woman of course, she had the same wants as women. Her curves were normal for her age. Gine didn’t take in account for her eyes till, she was of course at eye level. Her ice blue eyes made her chill by how expressiveness of there ice field. She could not express the words in her own mind. She just stood there in awe to her build. The teenager for her hand to touch to her. She then said out loud to the people around "Nothing to see here get a move on" With a sarcastic voice. That was a lie for the mentally challenged. Who would not want to stay?

From out of the corner of her eyes, a lone figure stood. Her hands on her hips and a silver helmet glistening in the morning light. She shook her head a couple of times signifying her disappointment and disbelief at the events that had transpired. Kiko frowned at the gesture. She hated being treated as a kid. Being clumsy was not helping her standards. "Kiko. that was. cute," she commented as she approached the girl. She performed several steps in rapid succession. She was too fast for her movements to be easily seen.

With an aura of ki about her, a gush of rain appeared from out of nowhere and poured over Kiko. In a quick but unfeminine fashion, she was washed off from the goo. Her clothes, being opaque and not allowing anyone to see anything under them, did not faze at the pressure of the water. With a smug look, she took notice of her master. "Kati-sempai." she acknowledged her before bowing her head. What a very convenient timing of the rain to start. At this time, Kati noticed the young girl beside the two acquaintances. She had an expression of awe. Kati wondered if she was in shock with the Legendary 3rd class saiyan present in front of her or with the pretty girl that was now bathing in the nasty rain water.

"And who might you be?" she smiled at the young 3rd class saiyan as she faced her.
She was standing there as she seemed to think to herself. She wondered if she should just of retracted the hand by this point. "Dammit," she never heard her say anything. Only the movement of her lips. She of course refused her help. She then stepped away to the site of the girl. She gave her a glance before another woman walked to her side. "Kiko. That was. cute" Gine looked to this woman with a fast sigh now. She then noticed further into the man's appearance. She was a 3rd class saiyan only to be told. By the way she walked. You could see the many she killed.

She was now in awe by the 3rd class saiyan standing in front of her. She looked at the woman’s appearance, her Silver helmet showed a great deal of light into Gine's eyes. She blinked and looked away only to look back to the strong 3rd class saiyan. The 3rd class saiyan was walking up and letting out an aura as fast as a cheetah. She saw but one of the many auras preformed. The ki was a special ki. Gine's was filled with ambition. The 3rd class saiyan could tell the other was not here to look at the scenery. A strong breeze passed by the group now. The breeze griped Gine's long hair carrying it around her.

The hair waved for a few seconds, only to show her age in full. She was sixteen going on seventeen in about a month or two. She stepped back a bit to rack her hair back into their places. She then speaks again ".You’re Kati? Correct?" she then studied the woman again. She noticed she was more than just a 3rd class saiyan. How she stood showed that she has killed more than just hundred men. The girl looked down to the fourteen year old now. Then looking back to the 3rd class saiyan near her. "You’re Kiko," she stated also asking "I was wishing for the training of this girl?" After a few moments Gine says "I don’t think she’s worthy."

The 3rd class saiyan blinked for a few times before digesting what the younger had to say. She wanted to train with Kiko but Kiko was going to train with Kati. Quite a dilemma for her. She looked at the girl with much awe, wondering if she knew who Kiko really was. She looked like any other 3rd class saiyan so what's the point of training with someone you don't know if you have no clue she has the right knowledge to back her skills up? "Ah. So," Kati finally said and clasped her hands together. Kiko knew that smile.

It was a faux smile she donned last time they were in a training together. She thought she was going to give her the prize but instead, she had appeared from her back only to imprison her in a water cell. She wondered what may be the implications of such. "Would you like to join in our training for the day?" said the 3rd class saiyan still with her faux mask still on. Kiko's jaw dropped. Did she hear right? Was Kati going to train her with some strange girl? What would Alex think? She narrowed her eyes, trying to stare Kati down. It was jus timely that Kati's faux smile makes her narrow her eyes to an extent that they would like slits to the opposing view. In this condition, her eyesight are down by some percent. Kiko couldn't believe her and to fail using her disgusted look at her. Things were shaping up.

"The ki. is Kiko's little specialty," she commented last, striking Kiko at her heart. Her specialty? was it really? If it was then she would know her very well. Kiko's heart was melted by the information. Kati was a good mentor and if she had the power to make her, she could be a great dad. Gine sat there wondering what the 3rd class saiyan was thinking. Still getting no reply back from the 3rd class saiyan . She sits there studying the black haired 3rd class saiyan . She felt a calmness around this master, but still a toughness in her. She felt as if she could talk to her easy, and get a response with a joke. She seems as though she had to have killed many other 3rd class saiyans. Gine was siting there thinking to herself until she would get a final reply from the others.

The wispy clouds floated overhead. It was a crisp and warm morning, the birds went on with their singing as the leaves turned to joining them with their graceful dances. Just like any other day, everyone went about their business. They knew they should keep on working to live, to survive. One day of laziness may lead to them being out of teach with nature. Dawn was a town known for its strong economic stability mainly because it adhered to the teachings of Roshi. The pearl of the orient, a mixture of East and West, Dawn was no novice when it comes to discipline of its denizens.

Over to the other side of Dawn, on a lone field with a wide lake adorning it, stood three warriors of the area. One was the legendary 3rd class saiyan, Gine. The other two were 3rd class saiyan s trying to prove their worth against fate's never ending meddling. The lake twinkled like silver stars. Kiko had been here before, she knew the same feeling that the lake had given her when she trained with Kati days ago. It was bliss, peaceful and serene. Merging with the lake, being one with it, was something she had felt for the first time and something that she wanted to do again. Her eyes lit up at the thought of Kati training them for the same reasons again.

The 3rd class saiyan stood a mighty stance, her brown hair covered by the silver helmet that was complementing the silver streaks of hair that made her look more regal than ever. her eyes, as iced blue as Kiko's, lit up in such a way that reminded the young girl of happiness. She smiled at the thought of Kati taking pride in being a good mentor. "Okay! So let's begin," she said to the two who were confused. Kiko looked at Gine unconsciously but reverted back to looking straight into the eyes of rage. She raised an eyebrow as she continued to down her faux smile. "Begin with what?" she went on.

Taking a good look at her students, Kati quickly performed several movements much to their disbelief. She was too fast to determine whether she was going for an attack or a defense. Kiko readied her Sharkskin Dagger at impulse. If anything was going to show up, she would destroy it before her competition would. Out of the corner of their eyes, the lake grew a whirl pool in its center and it began to grow even more. In seconds, the whirlpool gushed up in a spiraling manner and began to yearn for their flesh.

Heavenly clouds slowly glaze over there heads. The mourning was is very warm. Gine after getting a good night’s sleep was told to report here. On the other side of Dawn, Near a wide lake. She looked at the 3rd class saiyan standing strong now. Gine looked into her eyes, much like Kiko's eyes. Only to wonder what she was thinking. She then looked back to the teacher in front of her. Gine looked over to the lake. She started to admire the elegance of the lake. She could see the reflection of her own hope and dreams. She then took another look at her. She was smiling at the master. "Okay! So let's begin,"

Gine thought to herself wondering what did she mean. She then noticed Kiko look at her for a moment. She looked back to her, only to catch her turning back to the legendary 3rd class saiyan . She then turned back to the 3rd class saiyan with a confused look on her face. "Begin with what?" The 3rd class saiyan still having her Smile began to shoot ki blasts out at a high speed. Gine sat trying to read the instructions. She read not one of the Instructions. She then looked to her side to see Kiko was pulling a weapon to her side. She got ready to be in defense mode. To her side she noticed a large pool of water spinning at her. Gine made a fast movement rolling and ducking to the blast of water.

The water passed over her head. The water slammed into the tree behind her. The water made cuts all around the tree. Gine stands up from ducking, now facing the strange copy. She didn’t know what was going on. The copy ran at her throwing a punch at Gine face. Gine rolls backward throwing a solid kick at her. The copy recoils by spinning, and landing on the right of her. Gine kicks off the ground landing on her feet. The copy charges at her again. She now notices that it’s just a simple strange copy.

Gine didn’t want to waste too much ki. Instead she spun into the air throwing a nice kick to her left shoulder. The kick was solid, throwing the copy back. The copy broke away into water near a tree, and a few bushes. She then looked finding Kiko nowhere she then jumped over to a tree to the left. She tried to make her self-unseen to anyone. She then made two ki blasts as fast as she could. The tri-clone made themselves known trying to draw the 3rd class saiyan out. The copy goes farther away from the real self. The clones steps around acting as if she didn’t care. She was trying to make her mad at her mistakes. Gine just watched for any movement in any near area. She didn’t see anything but off in the distance she saw Kiko. She didn’t know what she was doing. She kept her self concealed to everything around her. The copy jumped into hiding at the site of Kiko. Gine sat, and studied Kiko for anything.

Kiko winced at the sight of the huge water spiral heading for them. Quickly she jerked herself at the opposite end of Gine. The water missed either one of them but it did not miss the tree. Kati was quicker as Kiko had expected her to be. The tree looked like it had been ripped to shreds by giant claws. She thought about what would have happened if it had hit eitehr one of them. Kati was serious this time. the Yaid narrowed her eyes, determination to subdue the 3rd class saiyan before the other 3rd class saiyan filled her.

"Kiko." She winced at the thought of the voice interfering once more. She had tried so hard to hide her ability just because of the fact she was not strong enough to be one. If any other found out what she really was, they might try to turn her in. She knew Kati knew about her and the fact that she has not turned her in yet made her feel queasy at times but thankful nonetheless. It was one of the reasons why she still holds the 3rd class saiyan in high regards. "Free me and we can destroy this 3rd class saiyan . I will share my power with you." Relentless, the cold and calm voice continued to mingle with her sub consciousness.

By now she was used to it all. The same small eyes that haunted her at night belonged to the same voice that tempted her to reveal herself at this time. But she was strong. She knew better than to unveil her greatest mystique. It would be a waste of time, a stupid gesture even. Clutching her Sharkskin dagger, she motioned to rush at the 3rd class saiyan . However, a gang of triforms appeared in front of her. She had no idea where Kati would be. She was not yet that good with clones.

"To your left," The voice told her. Right on her left was a triform, as quick as the original and ready to kick her sideways. With a quick jump, she evaded that kick. She landed behind the triform and struck it with her dagger. Still, the other was too fast for her. With a swift manner, it struck her on her gut, sending her flailing backwards. Kiko hit the opposite tree back first. Clutching her stomach in pain, she spat out blood. It wasn't serious but it tasted too awful for her. She grew more furious at the thought she had been beaten by a copy made of nothing but water and ki.

Slowly, she stood up. The copy winced at the sight of this. It thought she would stay down for good. From afar, on a huge tree branch, Kati watched on as her student, Gine, showed signs of being from Yaid. She rested her back against the trunk and crossed her arms together. A smile streaked across her face as she shook her head. The silver helmet continued glistening through the morning light. "Is that all you got?" Kiko asked the clone, getting confidence from the taste of her blood. The copy stepped one foot back, sweat or something that looked like it, graced her left cheek.

Kiko narrowed her eyes, intently gazing a hole through the water clone's form. She was trying hard to contain her inner demon and was successful at this point. Finally gaining enough ground to fully stand back up, she winced at the pain she received from her gut. "'Cause I have a surprise for you." she said and darted through the triform. Kiko delivered swift blows to the copy but the opponent easily parried them. every punch, every kick, every blow, was evaded by the clone. Kiko grew frustrated as she spun to deliver a massive spin kick. Surprisingly, it hit nothing but air. The copy stood her ground on the opposite end as Kiko stood hers. She was starting to sweat. She glanced at her right and saw Gine who was just standing there as if she did not care.

Dammit! Kati grinned at the things that had transpired. "More?" With a quick jest, as she always did, she performed another set of steps and unleashed five more triforms, having a total of 6 on the battlefield. Kiko could not believe her eyes. Kati was serious this time around. Unconsciously, she held the dagger by its hilt as hard as she could. She was furious at what was happening. Even Kati's triforms were as quick as her. Damn.

The 3rd class saiyan sat in the bush near the events of Kiko's fight. Gine was hiding near the fight. The 3rd class saiyan made the command to help Kiko. She knew she would most likely refuse. Thus reason she didn’t make the command sooner. She moved through the brush of tree and bushes. It had seemed that the night was becoming foggy. She wondered what would come of the battle now. Would end this spar, or did she cause this fog of nature. Yaid’s 3rd class saiyan gained a closer view to the battle now. The copy had been helping Kiko now few a minute. She seemed as if she was talking to herself in her head. She made of course no motion of this event before joining the battle.

Even when Gine jumped into the small scale battle. She knew she would need some kind of back up. Before she could think anymore. She saw the copy brushed to the side by the strange Clone. The copy was not even injured. She made a few instructions to go along with a new technique. "Blade " Then in the shadows of the bushes where Gine sat. Something had kicked her out of the bush. She had no idea to think. Only that two of her three blade she had cut the target. The strange copy busted into thin air. Only because of her distraction did we defeat the clone.

Gine then turned around to check what attacked her. She then formed a flurry of ki blasts that made their way around, destroying much of the trees in the viscinity. Gine made a gesture to Kiko to help lookout. Gine turned back away from her. Silently walking into the bushes she heard something behind her. She never paid any attention. She then rushed into the forest still silent looking back and forth for whatever kicked her. After about five to ten minutes, she had found nothing. She looked back only to see a small trail that she had made.

She then turned moving back threw her trail. She looked to the left and the right as she went back. She gets closer to where Kiko is again. She jumped out of the bushes to see her still with her SharkSkin Dagger out. Gine says "Sorry" she looked to the right. Something was moving over there this time she didn’t know what she should do. She looked over to Kiko. her looked showed concern for what though. She looked back to the bushes. She pulled out a blade, in reaction to whatever could be in the bush. She was starting to show to Kiko another side. She was almost concerned for their lives. She was scared that Kati was not just going to toy with them. Gine looked into the sky thinking of her past.

Gine didn’t know what to think about her life as a 3rd class saiyan . She didn’t think she would make it past 3rd class saiyan in this lifetime. This master was so skilled, she shouldered so much strength. All the 3rd class saiyan could do was make a few instructions. None of her technique could really kill a person like this, Or a warrior only slow them down. She then looked back around her now, seeing Kiko eyes with a glance. Her eyes reminded her of death itself. Gine was ready to fight the next challenge.

"Damn it Just Attack!" she says just low enough for the two of them to hear. Kiko stood still. Her thoughts whirred her to a trance. In a prison made of ki, a bubble full of ki, she sat still. She clasped her knees close to her chest. A lullaby lulled her to wake. Her black hair played with the ki around here. Strangely, she found herself breathing normally. Looking far beyond her, her iced blue eyes spew out an emotion of surprise. Two deadly eyes, smaller than normal, were looking straight at her with no other remnants of itself visible.

"Kiko." From out of nowhere, the voice began to call for her again. Its cold tone made it seem ghostly or dead. Kiko tried shrugging it off. It may just be an unsure dream. "It is not a dream, Kiko. I come for you," Kiko's eyes widened at the tone of this. Forgetting she was in a ki prison, she opened her mouth to shout to find she could normally speak in it. "Who are you?! Where are you? Speak!" Her ill temper had gotten the best of her once more. She only noticed so after her words have been freed from her. With her conscious now getting a hold of her soul, she slowly tried to calm herself down. It would be of no use to argue with the voice if she was in control of this world. She was imprisoned in what she knew not what. it wouldn't be smart to provoke the more powerful to make her situation more demeaning.

"Who I am will be revealed much later, when you get stronger. As for now, I need you to accept my ki. I will share my power with you. You will have a taste of immortality but only today. If you want more, you know how to get it. Release me!" The voice continued ranting at her. As it ended its reign, it boomed until it finally dissolved to nothingness.

Kiko pondered at what it might have tried to really mean. She thought to herself as she failed to notice everything melted back into reality. She was back where she stood, still panting after that hit she received from the triform. Sweat fell from her face and as it did, it glistened a mournful silver in the morning light. The five new batch of triforms, with the sixth old one in their middle, looked menacingly at both Gine and Kiko. With her trance, she had only now to witness Gine's own actions.

her. Quickly, the copies began to move. They rushed at both Gine and Kiko, quickly taking a fast pace.

"Dawn!" From out of nowhere a thick mist veiled both the 3rd class saiyan s. All the triforms stopped to gawk at the surprise Kiko had unleashed. She continued smiling as the ki continued to grow thicker. She whispered to Gine only to be heard by them both. She was subconsciously doing this though, she wanted to prove to herself she can do this without the help of that inner demon of hers. "I know where Kati is, I'll spring to attack her. You, on the other hand, get ready to perform an attack on her when she lands. Got it?" Kiko did not wait for Gine to answer back. As her instinct ushered for her to move, she quickly sprang out of the mist heading for Kati's current location.

"What the?!" The 3rd class saiyan , taken aback at being found out, quickly jerked backwards to avoid the dagger strike Kiko had for her. She landed opposite Kiko as both had a stare down. "You are getting good," she donned her faux smile once more. Kiko smiled her own as she waited for Gine to hit the 3rd class saiyan with enough accuracy so she could take her down. Her heart was pounding fast, every muscle of her body was in use, she was taking it good for a training. Kiko sneered menacingly, infused with dark secrets that only a few knew.

Gine waiting for the movements of the six triform clones. She looked fast over to the other student. She finished the three secound daydream. She had always had very strange dreams. her dreams would last for hours, and still yet be two or three secounds in the real world. Many knew when she would day dream. Usually snaped out of it fast. She then looked back to Kiko. Knew that she had devised a plan. She waited for the order like a dog. This was not in her nature in case she did not care. She knew that together they could defeat the clones, and defeat Kati ending this spar or sorts.

He then noticed her saying something toward her "Don't be afraid. Don't you want to bleed for your fantasy?". Gine heard her sarcastic voice, enabling no anger to rise in the teenager. She then jumped into a stance with speed. She made a few plans to go along with the attack apon them. She gave a few orders, pacing into the thick mist of ki now. Now she then thought of a plan threw what she said. She had the perfect plan in her head now. She just had to get the strange clones in another area. Gine then preformed several energy blasts in rapid succession.

Gine drew out enough ki for six ki blasts to face the other clones. Gine had the blasts hide in the mist. She then waited for their battling to start. She looked fast threw the mist. The 3rd class saiyan heard fight between at the copies. After a few more seconds. There was pitched combat in the air. She gave the order to force them into a farther spot. They slowly fought untill there fighting was a simple whisper. She slide out of her sleeve, two weapons. She looked back and forth for any sign of movement. After about a minute, movement spurred. The blue blur was in the air almost free falling to the ground. She then aimed, and threw one of the blades. Kati of course dodged with a back handspring upon hitting the ground. Gine threw the last blade making her jump high into the air. She then thought some more about what to.

"Energy Dan" she said as Kati floated in the air. The ki shot from Gine’s body, flying into the air now. The aim was perfect, the only person that could have dodged it was a speedster. She looked at the shot almost at awe. She then focused her ki to see how much ki she has left. She had a mind to believe she had just enough ki for a few more ki blasts. The clones the teacher had sent to fight were still off in the distance in pitched combat. She heard ki and mud flying. One of the strange triform clones was running this way.

Only to be followed by yet another clone. Was this lady making even more clones? This was getting a little ridiculous. The clones both burst into the ki. Time had been a great deal. They had over done their time. Kati was as cautious as ever. As quick as Gine was with her ki blasts, Kati was quicker by evading them with a back hand spring. Kiko looked on, breathless, at the events that was transpiring before her. She was panting, breathing heavily. She was still tired from all the action. However, a smile still lingered on her lips. She was enjoying what was happening probably because she knew Kati was about to get caught in her own trap.

"I never knew you were such a gymnast!" Kiko shouted at Gine, jokingly provoking her to ease up and be filled with the fatal emotion of flattery. Kati landed back opposite her and the two had a stare down. Student to mentor, both had no intentions of backing down. Kiko was intensified, she was ready to end this now. She was feeling all the blood in her body pumping outward at the same time. Torture. She read about in Roshi’s place. It was one of the signs of someone hungering for more power. A developed characteristic of almost all the saiyans known to man, Kiko felt quesy just thinking about it.

In rapid succession, Gine launched more ki blasts prompting Kati to make no other choice but to jump way up. There!" her sight tore a hole through the undergrowth that sheltered Gine. However, before she could safely land down, three shots of semi-solid mud ganged up on her. In a frenzy, they caught her in both of her arms and on her mid section. "Gotcha!" Kiko thought, her infamous smile growing wider as her confidence was fed. She felt she would want to gloat after this skirmish. Imagine, a student beating the teacher on her own? Well, not really but if it was the case then she'd take Gine down after beating Kati. She felt her heart pump more rapidly. It felt as if it was on yaid pills. "Must be the excitement." She told herself to calm down. She reverted back to looking at Kati.

With no way to run or hide, the 3rd class saiyan was thrown by the mud to the opposite tree trunk, trapping her like a wild creature. She tried to get free, wriggling around, but to no avail. Kiko's grin grew more sinister. She was the victor, only her and no other. To one side of the battlefield, the copys dispersed into what they once were: mud and ki. Kiko's smile vanished as a grin formed on Kati's lips. The trapped 3rd class saiyan was more confident than ever. Kiko felt cold, she was shivering by this time. She knew not what the cause was but she knew it would be a distraction on her part. Wiping her blood off, she pointed accusingly at Kati and threw her voice at her. "Stop smiling! You're already beat!" Her eyes had dark circles around them, she looked fatigued like she had no sleep for forty days. Kati gave a boisterous at the sound of Kiko. "Not quite."

In a flash, the Kati that was trapped by the ki. It was a triform! Kiko thought it could not be. She had ki in her and she smelled like blood. How on earth could she take time to switch herself if that was the case?! Anger filled her at the last moment of her consciousness. Her vision became blurry, fatigue overpowered her, she was losing her balancing at the end of it all. Like a blur, Kati appeared before her and pushed her back with a flick of her finger. "Just like that?" Kiko fell back, lying on her own spine, unconscious and out of strength to go on.

Kati then turned to where Gine was. She smiled, a bit fatherly, and pointed at her. "You!" she made the motion for the 3rd class saiyan to come at her. Kati showed herself to be atrocious and arrogant which were contradicting her real personality. On the battlefield, Kati was Rage. But this was not the battlefield. Kati was able to control herself. The bloodlust in her was no more than a weak pulse.

"Just defeat me!" She said to the 3rd class saiyan she knew she should not of said it to the one. I mean she was training her, she could be so impatient. She jumped back from the combat. She spun out a blade, spinning in back and forth pausing it in place. She then looked at the blur rage. Felt the anger ride up her skin to her face. She then felt a burning sensation in her heart. She now knew she would not lose she would give it her all. She made a few more flips then created more triform clones. They moved around at a fast rate. Two ran down the middle. While the others went down the sides. One in the middle jumped over to the other side of Gine, jumping right over her. They come into a almost diamond around her now. They all charge at her at once. They all throw solid kicks, and punches at the 3rd class saiyan.

Gine didnt beleive this was going to work, only something to stall the 3rd class saiyan till the other would arrive. She should have full ki left, and/or stamina. With her superb ability in the Roshi way, Kati was quick to anticipate the blatant attacking strategy of the triform techninque and the young 3rd class saiyan. Easily parrying all the kicks and punches she was receiving, she looked like she was dancing in the middle of the skirmish. The mist was beginning to grow thin, almost becoming just a fragment of its former strength. Duck, sidestep, and jump; Kati was pushing for boundaries while having fun at the cost of ki. She still had her faux smile on. Gradually, she changed her views from the copy to Gine and to Kiko. She began to worry if she was alright. She never intended to make her pass out. She actually had no idea why she did pass out.

The triform clone began to strike Kati in unison. At this point in time, she backflipped unto the ground, leaving a mess of mud from where she was. The triform clone had destroyed themselves without her exerting much effort. She was a learned woman now. A warrior that had done countless missions for Dawn. Surely she would not fall to a saiyan of unknown status. Quickly glancing back to Kiko, Kati charged her ki as her hands began to glow a fair shade of blue. With her faux smile, she continued to look at the girl. She rarely used this on missions, simply because its hard to maintain good vantage point on the field. She was never a hand-to-hand type of gal. She was more of a strike a single blow and leave them all dead kind of gal.

"Hey, Gine is it? don’t worry about Kiko, she'll be fine. You should be worrying about yourself now," Kati's voice was still at normal tone, there was no hint in her being the newer one she was known as. It appeared that this circus was finally over and Gine could finally go home and take a break.

The next morning Gine woke up to some serious issues. She couldn't believe it. She really couldn't believe it. Was money really that tight these days? she mumbled incoherently to herself as she walked past another "Loveless" poster. Where the hell do they get off posting that damn thing wherever you damn well look? Thought the hype'd die down by now. Nah, with those criminals running around its gotten worse. Worse I tell you! Gine grunted as a passerby nodded to her. Didn't know who the hell he was, but a nod was a nod, you answer it with a nod.

Gine's gleaming brown eyes scanned the area in front of her. It was bright, sunny, and the streets looked as god awful as ever. Even in the upper plate the city looked like an absolute shit hole. Guess that’s what came with living on this god-forsaken rock. What a bloody tragedy. The whole place is rotten to the core. Gine studied the cobblestone street, the old metal light posts, the cold, grey stone that made up the structures around her. Least they got rocks. Down below, they had sheet metal. Sheet metal got cold.

She walked by a bistro, and as if on queue her stomach growled. A few passersby stared at her. An unshaven, dirty looking man obviously armed to the teeth and hungry. She was a crime fighter, and not the nicest one. A few laughed, a few shied away. All of them alienated her when she was like this. Not that she really cared what the rich ass trash of this city thought anyway. She turned to the bistro and opened the door, there was a low creak as the door gave way and she stepped inside.

The first thing that hit her was the strong scent of nicotine and tobacco. Good stuff. Looks like they allowed smoking here. She pulled a piece of gum her vest pouches and put it in her mouth, she would chew away as she wait. Scratching her dirty black hair she took a few steps in, eying some of the other patrons. They quickly averted their curious gazes. Good idea. She wasn't in the mood to punch some rich folk. Sitting down at the counter the chef walked up to her. Portly guy, big bushy beard and a bright smiling face. Kind of reassuring you know? He chortled for a bit before asking. "What can I getcha fer miss?" Gine's head didnt move, her eyes slowly rose to meet the Chef's.

"Baked Spaghetti, hold the meat, and." she pulled out her flask, poor thing was empty. "Dawn Schnapps." she said dryly. The chef nodded briefly before askin. "Mozzi on yer Spaghetti?" Gine grinned. "Lotsa Mozzi." The two paused and then burst out laughing, several of the onlookers were stunned by Gine's sudden change of mood. "Bloody hell Gine! You look like shit!" The Chef laughed slamming his big meaty hands on Gine's shoulder.

"Hitt'n it rough these days, just got enough to get by ya know? How you been?" Gine asked. The big man shook his big bushy head. "I'z Maruchi now." Gine scowled. "Maruchi? What typa name is that?" Maruchi frowned. "Is my padre's name, so don't you go dissin it!" Gine grinned. "Fair enough, fair enough." Gine laughed.

Maruchi hobbled over and stirred a pot. She then leaned down and grabbed something from the Oven. He walked over and placed a steaming bowl full of Spaghetti, Tomato Sauce, and Mozzarella Cheese in front of Gine. Gine looked up at her, astonished. "Iz on the house boy, look like ya need it mor'n these folks." Gine grinned. "Yer good people Maruchi" The old man laughed a bit and Gine dug in.

God Damn! This stuff was good. Didn't take long for her to scarf down a whole bowl. She still had appetite for more but she knew when not to push her luck. She was damn lucky enough to get an old friend as chef of the day. Though she knew that there was more to this than just a free meal. Maruchi approached her and placed a refilled flask next to Gine's hand. Gine looked up at the old man. "You lookin for work?" Maruchi asked. "Yeh." Gine said, picking up the flask and taking a long gulp. She snubbed out her cigarette before Maruchi continued. "Go on back, I'll introduce you." he said quietly and nodded his head toward the Kitchen. Gine would work there for a few hours and make enough money to buy food for dinner!

The next day, Gine woke up late, even later than usual. She was still somewhat sore after that last 'adventure' she had. A lot of things still in her mind. The 'local' machine shop revealed to only supply motion systems for machines, such as wheels, mech legs, and so forth. It didn't help that she didn't have the money on her when she got there, so she couldn't get them right away. Gine pondered what to do today. Gine looked around. her room seemed quite.empty. All that was there was her bed, a desk, and some 'drawing equipment', that is, pencils and paper. "Maybe I should find something to help me in my training, so something like THAT doesn't happen again." Gine said, "At the very least, something I can smack with a weapon so that I can handle it better."

Gine looked at the few papers with writing on them. A couple of plans, one for a suit of armor, and one for something that looked like a motorcycle of some sort, and a list of various items. Gine looked at the motorcycle plans, and said to herself, "Okay, so there are four different grades of wheel at the shop. Should I go with the second level, or kick it up with a third level set? And I still don't know where to get the rest of the parts. I know there isn't anywhere open to the public in Dawn, but there has to be one somewhere in the world."

After thinking about it for a few seconds, Gine packed her equipment and headed out. "Now.where to go, where to go, where to go to find someone needing any sort of assistance." Gine mused, "Jeeze, it's hard to be an independent start-up business owner here. I'm going to need to find some way to establish myself. Perhaps where a bunch of people hang out." Gine headed to the town square at the bottom of the sector.

When she got there, she saw that it was about as busy and populated as it should be for this particular time of day. Gine decided to start asking around, to see if anyone needed some help, even with odd jobs. She just wanted to buy a motorcycle type transport and get Bardock to want her harder! Any honorable method of getting money will do at this point. Fortunately for her, she found that a couple of the people in the square did have a few requests she could fulfill, and most of them involved 'bring this item to this location', with the rest of them being 'I lost this item somewhere around here'.

Gine performed each of the requests as quickly as she could, and received the thanks and a small payment from each person for her work. Once she was done, she checked her cell phone to see what time it was. It was barely two in the afternoon, meaning she still had a lot of time left for the day. "Okay, everyone over there is satisfied for the day. Now what?" Gine wondered to herself. Gine looked at the money she was given for her efforts. "Hmm.It might be enough for some basic wheels, but." Gine said to herself, "I want something better. Something that lets me go places quickly. However, I might want to be careful not to go overboard, I don't want it to become prohibitively expensive." Gine pocketed her change and continued her search for some work to do. Gine decided to go back to square to see if anyone else needed help. Gine managed to find one more request that she could fulfill. It was another quick delivery.

Gine got the job done and was paid suitably. Afterwards, Gine checked to see if anyone else came up with a request of some sort. Nobody did. Gine checked the time. Quarter past two, and Gine was feeling worn down a bit. Normally, Gine wouldn't have worn out that quickly, but she figured it was because she was still recovering from yesterday's episode. "Yeah, now I have to keep an eye on avoid another way to overdo it in any sense." Gine said as she started making her way home, "But it's too soon to pack it up for the day. What to do, what to do."

In the end, she decided to head home and take a nap. When she got there, she set her cell phone's alarm function to wake her up in an hour. "Well, there's one advantage to working for one's self." Gine said to herself, "You go by your own schedule, and not by somebody else's potentially inhuman hours." Gine then drifted to sleep. The alarm went off as scheduled, and Gine was able to get up when it did. "Ah, that was refreshing." Gine said as she got out of bed. Once she was fully awake, Gine packed up and headed out once more. Maybe she would find some more things to do now. Gine was ready for whatever needed to be done, whether it was of business, or whatever else.

Once more Gine headed to the Town Square to see if anyone needed help now. It was somewhat busy, with the standard working hours coming to a close. Gine asked around once more, and managed to find several more requests that she could fulfill. Once again, Gine made another run around the area, bringing at least a little bit more joy to the masses, and a few more zeni to her pockets. When she was done, she dusted off her hands as soon as she got out of sight of the crowds and said, "Well, that was a good day here. That should bring me a bit closer to my own goals."

Gine checked her cell phone for the time. It was closing in on seven o'clock. "Now, what to do, what to do." Gine said, "Maybe I should find a slightly more 'local' place to hang out for the night. It's too late to do much else." Gine then made her way upwards and looked around for a good hangout spot. After finding such an establishment, she hung out for a few hours, then headed back home afterwards. "A good day, indeed." Gine said to herself as she prepared herself for sleep after a very productive day, especially compared to the past couple of weeks or so.

Waking up extra early, Gine walked down the stairs and read up on The heal technique. She thought, After work I will practice this move. The doctor, Shinai Tonak, came up to his guest room room and walked in to wake her up. Surprised to see her up so early for the second day, he asked, “Now seriously, today isn't going to be easy, did you sleep at all? “Gine replied true fully saying, “Yes, I got sleep. I just wake up early, plus I wanted to read up on healing wounds. “The Tonak smiled at her and told Gine it was time for breakfast.

Gine put her dark hood on and smiled thinking, It's so nice to actually have someone care for you. I never thought I'd miss having a home so much. Good thing I got in that fight, I highly doubt this never would have happened otherwise. Gine was referring to her fight that happened a few days ago, with the master. Gine walked into her tiled bathroom and washed her face with a green soap bar. She then walked down the carpeted stairs, and she came into the kitchen. The doctor's wife, Karen, said, “Good morning, Gine, we were just talking about you. “Tonak said, “Yes, yes, yes we were come, and sit, we have something to tell you. “Gine sat on the wooden chair and stared at them, wondering, What could they be wanting to tell me?.

As Gine left the house following the doctor she said, “You guys are sure about this, this isn't going to cause no trouble right? “Tonak laughed and said, “I know we aren't your real parents Gine, but seriously, we would love to teach you heal if you want to learn. Great, now she had a new set of teachers! Gine examined the her surroundings. She saw a kid running down the street, with a man chasing her. Gine ignored them and continued with the doctor to the hospital. They reached the giant white building, and Tonak walked to the front desk. She nodded at Gine and she talked to the woman sitting there. Then Tonak walked up to Gine and said, “Now you listen to any of the doctors, or nurses, I told them to put you to work. You can leave by 3:00 and you can do what you like after."

Gine had begun to look around and she walked up to a man who was sitting down. The man was holding his arm, and Gine noticed a giant slash along his elbow, that reached to his wrist. The man said, “I got in a fight, do you know any doctors that can help me, I can't move my fingers for I am losing to much blood. I can't stop the bleeding. “Gine nodded and looked to a man moving a cart that had an empty bowl on it. She grabbed the bowl and focused her ki on it. The blue bowl began to fill with pure water. The man sitting down was amazed. She said, “How did you do that? “Gine paid little attention and focused more of her ki on the water. She then dipped her hand in the water.

The man asked what she was going to do with that. Gine simply asked the man to stand up. The man did what she was told and Gine grabbed a towel, off the chair by the man. She set the towel spread out right before the man's feet. The man looked at her strangely. Gine then took the bowl and dumped the water on the cut. The man jumped back, yelling at her. Gine told him to look at his cut. The cut was already begging to heal, the bleeding had stopped. The man said, “Oh my thank you, I'm sorry I yelled at you. “Gine smiled, and the man walked out of the hospital.

An hour later, Gine was going around helping nurses stop the bleeding on most patients. She was covered in blood from holding peoples bleeding parts while she applied the healing water. She was getting pretty tired, it took ki to do it. She decided to use less ki, and use the same water for more patients. It was working and then she saw Tonak. She was in a hurry, so Gine followed, to see what was up. She followed her into a room. Gine enterered after Tonak. There seemed to be something diffrent about this room. It felt lifeless, yet Gine has been in many rooms before. Then she saw her, or her, or whatever the person was.

Or she thought it was a person. She couldn't tell. It was very difficult to tell, for the person was mutilated on such a bad way. Doctor Tonak said, “We are going to lose her in a matter of minutes if we don't get someone to stop the bleeding. “Gine looked at the body. The man had lost her whole lower torso, just above the legs. Blood was constantly flowing, and then Gine realized, I have to help, I can stop the bleeding. I'm sure I can, but it will take a lot. She immediatley said, “I'll do it. I just need a tub. “Tonak looked at her with a dead serious face and said, “We can't have any mistakes Gine, the water can't be infected as well, so one screw up and this man is dead.”

Gine nodded in reassurance and the doctors picked up the body, while a nurse showed her the way to a tub. She asked the nurse what the cleanest part of her was, she said her elbow, with a strange look at her. She immediately focused her ki on the tub. The air began to turn to the purest water there ever was. Pure H2O unhampered and then Gine focused all of her ki on the water. The power of ki could be shown rising from the tub's water, and then calmly Gine dipped her elbow into the water. This happened right when the doctors came in with the body. The slowly put the body in the water with the head resting on the edge of the tub. Blood turned the water dark red. They waited a few minutes, and then lifted the body again, though wounds were still there, but the bleeding stopped. Everyone let out a sigh of relief, and so did Gine, who just realized she was holding her breath. Everyone patted her on the back while they took the body away. Doctor Tonak said, “You know Gine, I'm impressed, take the rest of the day off. "

Gine woke up in her bed, it was Three O' clock and Gine felt filled with energy. Now is the time to go train. thought Gine. She ran to the cleared area she found yesterday. She decided that she would run some laps first, then she would do some push ups and sit ups, and after practice the heal technique. She was running her laps when she remembered that she needed something to practice with. She continued running around the cleared area. She did this for about an hour. Sweat poured from every pore in her body. She was pretty tired, but she then started lifting heavy branches. Gine had to break the branches off the tree. It was hard work but she did it. By now Gine's clothes were soaked, it was almost as if she had jumped in a lake. She then took a fifteen minute rest.

She awoke under the shade of a tree, but she could tell she didn't sleep too long. The sun had barely moved. She sighed and got into a push-up position. She started to do the push ups. It was thirty minutes before she stopped, and she had lost count of the push ups. her arms were sore, and sweat once again was pouring. She got into sit-up position, with hands placed on chest and feet flat on the ground, she started. It was another thirty minutes before she was done. her stomach ached, so she made herself some water to drink. She had brought a water bottle with her so she put water in it. She thought, “As tired as I am, I have to continue.”

Gine was wrestling with another gopher. She kept jumping at it, but she couldn't catch it. Finally, with one of the holes in the ground, she made the hole fill with water. The gopher ran straight into her. She grabbed it and she opened up her book. The fury thing continued to scratch and squeal, but Gine paid little attention. She read up on the heal technique in the medical books she had been given, and then quickly skimmed through the actual move. She wanted to make sure she could fix the bone, so that the creature wouldn't suffer long. She sighed and looked at the animal. The animal went crazy when Gine looked at her. “It's almost as if she knows I'm going to hurt him. “said Gine, but she had to try. So she grabbed the foot of the gopher and snapped in an instant.

The gopher went completely nuts, and was squealing so loud that it was giving Gine a head ache. "It worked!" thought Gine. “But I have to do it one more time, sorry buddy. “Gine said aloud. She grimaced and took a different leg in her hands. She snapped it with a quick move of her hands, and followed with the procedure again. This time it was faster though and couldn't help, but feel relieved that she had done it right. She let the gopher go once the leg was back to normal saying, “Now don't do to much on those legs now, you need to rest. “Smiling with satisfaction that she did what she set out to do, she head back home as the sun set in the distance.

“Why are we here again, Kiko?” Gine asked as she walked into the soup house. She looked around the room; it must have been a slow day for soup as only two tables in the entire restaurant had anyone at them. There was a girl of about seventeen at a table near the window trying to avoid staring at her. Off at the corner table was a group of three men who did not seem to notice her and seemed to be discussing matters that she really didn’t care about. “We have more important things we need to be doing.”

Kiko sighed making for a fairly odd sound. “We’re here because you need to eat something. Yesterday all you did was wake up, heal shit, then went back to bed. You need food to live, I cannot stress that enough.” Upon hearing the talking Kiko, the girl went into full staring mode. “Now pick a table and sit there. I shouldn’t even have to remind you that you need to eat.”

Gine stared around for a bit before finally deciding on the opposite corner of the three men. She put her weapon on the table and took her bag off and put it on the seat next to her. She then put Kiko on the table. “I suppose you’re right. It does get hard to dig after a while with out food. You always look out for me.” A waitress came by carrying a menu, really looking like she was desperately trying to avoid doing so. “Hi, and welcome to.” she cut herself off as the sudden stench of death caught her nose. “Umm.” she backed off a bit. “Here’s a menu, let me know when you’re ready to order.” She practically tossed the menu at her and quickly scampered away to the safety that was not near her.

Gine picked up the menu. “So this is their food list here, huh, Kiko? she opened it up and started looking through it. An upset look came upon her face and she turned another page. She turned another page and soon was through the whole menu. “I don’t know what anyone these are! How am I supposed to know what’s good?

Kiko groaned. “Here, let me see. I’ve eaten a lot in life so I’ve got a pretty good idea of what’s good and what’s not.” Gine took Kiko and turned the menu back to the first page. “Okay, what else they got?” Gine turned the menu pages and soon Kiko had browsed the whole menu. “Okay, this place seems to be pretty nice so most anything will work but I would suggest the special.” Kiko then spoke up, “Oh miss,” she shouted, “we are ready to order!”

The waitress was in a bit of a shock as she was being addressed by a talking Kiko. She cautiously came back to the table. She held her breath to avoid the death smell as she drew near. “Okay, he’ll have the Noodle Special with Chicken and a side order of dumplings and an order of water.” The waitress slowly jotted this down, keeping her gaze affixed to the strange customer. Kiko noticed this. “Nothing for me, thanks. It’s not like I could eat it anyway.” She looked as if she was about to say something, but then stopped herself and just nodded and walked away.
Gine looked at Kiko and gave her a look as if to say, “Are you sure about this?” Kiko stared back as only Kikos can. “You can quit with the look, trust me on this one.” Gine continued with staring. Kiko sighed again, “Look, when have I ever steered you wrong, huh? Never, that’s when.”

Gine though for a moment, “Well, there was that time you told me that puppy was filled with candy and it wasn’t a few months ago. I’ve never seen a little girl get so angry.” “That wasn’t me!” Kiko shouted back. “I’ve only known you for two weeks!” “Don’t be silly, Kiko.” Gine responded, “I’ve known you for years. Why do you always pretend you don’t know these things, Kiko? Kiko had no answer to that. “There, see? That’s one time.” Kiko was silent for a moment. “Just trust me on this one, okay?”

The waitress came back shortly after this exchange, more confused now, having heard the whole exchange, but still quite nervous. “Here’s your meal, uh.” the waitress stopped herself, and went with her gut, “Creepy guy.” She closed her eyes and braced herself for whatever may come her way after that, yet nothing came. She opened them to see Gine attempting to work the chopsticks with the Kiko constantly giving instructions. She slowly backed away to a barrage of, “No, you need to.” “Hold it between your fingers like.” “You’re doing it all wrong!” “Argh! My eye!” as the Kiko attempted to instruct by vocalizing the finer points using chopsticks.

It took about twenty minutes for Gine to finally get the hang of it, and another fifteen for her to finish the meal. “You were right Kiko,” Gine said, “This was really good. We should do this more often.” she looked at Kiko, “But are you sure you didn’t want any?” Kiko attempted to give her a look. “What part of ‘Not alive, Can’t eat’ didn’t you get? It would have been cruel to offer. Would you do that to your friend?” Gine thought for a second, “I suppose you’re right. But do you want anything?” Kiko responded, “Just keep me around, having something of a life back after so long is actually quite nice.” Gine was about to respond when the waitress returned with a slip of paper.

Gine stared at the waitress as she attempted to hand her the paper. “Kiko,” Gine said, “What’s she doing?” Kiko looked for a second, “She’s handing you the bill. You now have to repay them for the food they gave you.” Gine gave the bill a confused look. “Repay? I thought that they were supposed to do this? You said this was their job, Kiko!” Gine grabbed her weapon, preparing to end her friend as the waitress slowly backed away, not wanting to get involved. “Yes, it is their job to do this, but the need compensation of valuable to continue doing their job!” Kiko shot back, fearing for what little of her life she could call it.

Gine stopped, “So they just need valuables? That makes sense, I suppose” she put her weapon back down, and looked at the waitress, who was still slightly shaken. “If you need valuable then look no further.” Gine then pulled her large bag onto the table and opened it up. The waitress audibly gasped as she saw the large bag full of bones. “Go ahead, take your pick,” Gine said as she pulled out an entire spinal column and a femur, “They’re all good.”

The waitress slowly looked into the large bag. As far as she could tell, the entire thing was full of all different kinds of bones, running the gauntlet from leg bones to pelvic bones to finger bones. She even saw a few Kikos in the bag and began silently hoping they those Kikos wouldn’t start talking as well. After staring in horror at the bag for what seemed like a nightmarish eternity, she heard a “Well, see any you like?” She slowly turned her head and looked at her. She had a large grin, like a child proud of a collection, and she had a face of pure horror. “Umm.” she started, “This is quite the impressive collection and are very nice, um, bones.” she stopped and looked as she nodded in agreement, “But I really don’t, um, see anything that I like.”

The smile ran from Gine face. “Not see any that you like? How could you not like any of them? she pulled out a kneecap from the bag and waved it in front of her. “Are you blind woman? How can you not see the exquisite quality of.” she stopped for a second. The waitress closed her eyes and braced herself again, certain this time that she would feel the blade of her weapon, but again, nothing. She opened one eye and saw that she was chuckling to herself. Now very confused, she hazarded a question, “Um, what is so funny?” Gine, now attempting to curtail her laughter, replied to her, “I should have known when I first saw you; I’m usually good at this.” she broke into laughter again.

The waitress, now slightly annoyed, responded, “And what should you have known about me?” Gine’s laughter died down a bit. “That you are crazy. I should have seen it the moment I saw you. It’s the only explanation for your not finding any good bones in there.” The waitress was now completely offended and was about to slap her, damn the consequences. She was about to go through with it when the Gine responded, “So I guess then you’ll want to see the junk bones. The crazies always want those.” she pulled a smaller bag from out of her cloak, opened it up, and reached inside.

When Gines hand emerged from the bag, she was holding about four finger bones. That wasn’t the first thing the waitress noticed, the first thing she noticed was the ruby on one of the rings on the finger. Her eyes next caught the cut diamond on the second finger, which led her to the sapphire on the third, and finally to the small pearl on the fourth ring on a fourth finger. Noticing her gawk, Gine told Kiko, “See I knew she was crazy, look at her face over these junk bones. The waitress looked right at her face, “Why are these junk bones? I.I.” She stopped herself, having lost her voice. Gine gave her a confused look.

“Can’t you tell? These bones are okay, but they have these useless shining things stuck on them. If I could get those off, they wouldn’t be junk, but they’re stuck on really good and I can’t get them off, at least without damaging them. So I keep them around in case I find a way to get them off at some point.” The waitress nodded, as if for a split second everything in the world made sense to her. She picked up the finger bones with the ruby and sapphire ring. “These,” she gasped, “These should cover the bill.”

Gine had been walking for about thirty seconds when she heard a voice shout out to her, “Hey bone guy!” she turned around and saw the three men from the restaurant standing there. The one on the left was a short round man wearing sunglasses. The one on the right was skinnier and slightly taller than the one on the left, but was completely bald. The one in the middle was the tallest one and had a greasy look and feel about her. “What do you want? Gine responded, “I’ve got things to do.” The three men started walking towards her.

“Oh, nothing much,” The one in the middle replied, “We just want your junk bones, that’s all.” she gave a greasy grin that soon faded as she caught the death smell coming from Gine. “So make like a good creepy guy and give them to us. Or else.” Gine frowned. “I usually don’t just give any of my bones away, even the junk ones. The only reason I gave her some was for an exchange for services.” The one on the right smiled, “That’s good, you see, that’s what we’re offering you. You give us that bag, and we don’t slice you to ribbons.” The three men then pulled out knives from their pockets and lunged for Gine.

Gine quickly dodged to the left and was now off the path, facing the bandits with the restaurant behind them. The three robbers made another lunge at Gine. Gine jumped backwards and swung her weapon at them, barely missing them. “Careful guys,” The short, one said, “This one is serious!” Gine then began laughing and the three bandits stopped lunging. “Hey, what’s so funny creepy?” The one wearing sunglasses said, “Are we amusing you?” Gine looked up with a very sinister smile, “Oh no, it’s just that you think this so far is serious. I’ll show you serious.”

Gine dropped her weapon and quickly performed a flurry of ki blasts” Gine said. Immediately, Gine shot balls of energy out of her hands , catching the bandits and shooting them into the restaurant wall behind them. “What? What is this stuff?” The short one said as he struggled in vain to break free of the powerful attack. “Oh, Hell,” The one in sunglasses replied, “This nutcase is a warrior, boss!” Gine picked up her weapon.

“Haha.” Gine started laughing, “They just figured that out Kiko.” Kiko gave a sinister laugh as well. “Please,” The greasy one said, “Don’t do what I think you’re going to do.” Gine ignored her plea and moved toward her trapped victims. “Now, as I said, I don’t just give my bones away to anyone.” she said with malice in her voice, “However, I may be willing to trade some of my bones for yours.” The three trapped bandit’s eyes went wide. “Now,” Gine said, “I’ll see if you have any worth trading for first.” she raised her weapon to the first bandit and then brought it down.

Two hours later, Gine continued down the path she had begun on. her weapon blade was covered in blood as were her arms. “Well, Kiko.” she said, “That wasn’t a very good haul from those guys. All they had for trade was that guy in sunglasses spine and pelvis.” Kiko replied, “Yeah, that fat one was completely worthless.” “And that tall one, can you believe he said he didn’t like bones? Even after showing him his friend’s spine? Gine continued, “Well, you know what I say, ‘If you don’t like bones, then you don’t deserve yours.’ Isn’t that right, Kiko?” “I couldn’t agree more,”

Kiko replied, “By the way, aren’t you going to clean up? You’re covered in blood and so is your weapon.” Gine sighed, “Going on that again, are you Kiko? You know I find cleaning up afterwards pointless sense we’re just going to go digging again. Besides, you know that the blood comes off once the skin dies.” Kiko shot back, “Again, that wasn’t me. And at least clean your weapon, otherwise it’ll rust.” “Fine, next place we get to I’ll clean the weapon.” Gine replied, as they continued down the path.

Shortly thereafter, the waitress was leaving the restaurant. As she began down the path, she happened to glance at the side of the building. She screamed as she saw the three men, cut open. The fat one was full of slices, but still had a full skeleton. The second one was almost completely bent over, his spine and pelvis removed. The third one lay in a heap, having no bones left in his remains. She screamed loudly until she noticed two bony fingers with rings stuck tight on them in the hand of the second man. She looked to the left, saw no one. She looked to the right, saw no one. Quickly grabbed the fingers and headed home. “Hehehehe,” She thought, “Come back any time creepy guy.”

The next day, Gine walked along the beach, picking up various stones and sticks and the occasional seashell to decorate the shabby little shack that she had found. She brushed some sand out of a clam shell and blew into it before looking it over and adding it to the plastic bag she had found. A light sea breeze blew her cloak out behind her, giving glimpses of the shiny black exoskeleton she was hiding beneath it. She adjusted her hood to hide her extra eyes better before continuing. It wasn’t that bad of a problem though. This was too small of an island to be inhabited by normal people, she had walked around it and through it and explored it all within the matter of a three and a half days.

The shack she had found had probably belonged to a child, now fully grown, who had used it as a secret hiding place. Now it was forgotten, except by Gine who had found it and was now using it as a temporary home. It was amazing what kinds of places humans could livei n and she liked to try the different styles. She liked it, it was away from the people, no one would accidentally see her mutations and freak out on her, and she could live there for the rest of her life, away from Yaid for the most part. She picked up a spiral shell that was white on the outside, but on the inside was a metallic gold color. She admired it for a moment before putting it in the bag and looking up. She froze, moving her hand up reflexively and pulling her hood forward over her forehead. The action was pointless, for it seemed that the person she was looking at was unconscious. She hesitated for a moment before walking over to her and bending down beside her. She set the bag down and she reached for her, hesitating at the sight of her tail, then gingerly she flipped her over and put her ear to her chest. her heart was still beating, and she was still breathing.

She looked up and around before she ran over to two driftwood poles. Her long legs appeared from beneath her cloak and she began to pull out a thin blanket. She ran back over to the young man, hiding his legs again. She carefully lifted her onto the makeshift sled then picked up her bag and dragged her back to the shack. She dragged her inside and gently set her down, then she grabbed her bottle of water and put some on his lips. Spinning. So much spinning. It was hard to see, but at times it looked like there was rocks and earth below her, at other times a hazy mirror reflecting herself. The young man couldn't understand that he was underwater. All the spinning had shut down his mind from logical reasoning. Looking at the reflection on himself from the surface of the water all he could really make out was a blurry black upper body made up of her shirt and a wavy blue lower body made up of his jeans. Where a normal mind might have been more focused on getting out of the water, the only thing that was going through the young man's mind was a disappointment in not being able to see his reflection more clearly.

The reflection would get closer occasionally, and broken by a shimmering circle that peered out to the sky like a porthole on a ship. And then with a splash, the young man could see the world outside the water again for a moment. While his mind was far gone, his body did its best to preserve itself, forcing her to breath as best she could now that she was given the chance, and then hold her breath again when her body felt itself getting pulled back underwater again. The young man really wished the spinning would just stop. And before her mind could know it, she would get her wish. The water had become salty. But at least the spinning stopped. These salty waters felt a lot calmer, and it was easier to float in them, the young man just lying back in the water with her legs and arms spread out, making her look like a human asterisk in the water. But he was still being carried off, the tide taking him somewhere. The young man smacked his lips a few times, tasting the salt on them.

"Uh oh. You don't want to drink this water. Salt water is bad for drinking," the young man said out loud. But no one else was there but him. She didn't seem to notice, and just smiled gently as she drifted along. "Sure is bright, though. I wish they could control the weather on this planet," the young man complained, initially squinting her eyes against the sun, though inevitably giving up and closing his eyes completely. The heat, the gently rocking of the water's movement on her, the relaxing sounds the water made, and just the young man's general delirium eventually took their toll. With her eyes closed, he couldn't help but pass out. Even her body had been more tired from trying to keep him alive. It made the remainder of her trip pass by quickly for her at least. He would have no idea how long he would have been waterlogged before finally washing up on the isle.

Unconscious as Gine came to her aid, she didn't stir or move any. her body felt the earth beneath her, but her mind didn't register it. her body exhausted from straining itself to keep afloat, it just went limp now as Gine moved her around. But then she felt the water against her lips and could taste the salt being removed from her tongue. And with this little change, her mind snapped back on. Greedily drinking the water down, his body started moving again. His eyes still closed, he lifted himself up a bit up off the sled Gine had made. Finally opening his eyes slowly, he looked around, trying to get a sense of his surroundings. But her vision was still recovering, and would take a moment. Turning to see Gine's half-hooded face, the young man looked very confused and weary. "Is that you,?" he finally asked.

As the young man began to sit up, Gine stepped back, pulling on her hood to make sure the extra eyes could not be seen. When the young man turned to her and asked her if she was someone else she shook her head, “no,” she said quietly, “I’m Gine,” she reached forward and handed the bottle over to the young man so that she could drink at her leisure, “I found you on the beach,” she said looking out the window at the beach. She was unsure of what to say next and she looked at the ground, “I guess you got into some trouble. Did your ship sink?” she asked sitting on the ground and pulling the cloak tighter around him, “should I go look for others?”

Gine stood up and pushed a cloth over a basket and brought it down for the young man, “here, have some bread, and don’t mind this damned cat, she only eats birds,” he wrapped her arms around her knees and looked at the bread as the named walked up. The pet settled next to Gine’s foot and remained stationary, looking at the young man out of its many eyes as if determining if she was a threat or not. After a moment Kitten scuttled away to the crevice that she had claimed as her and settled down into it, hidden by the shadows for the most part. “I guess she likes you,” said Gine, looking over at the stupid animal. She changed out pets like socks; she could never get too attached to just one. She then looked back at the young man and pushed the basket a little closer to her, “you should eat some,” she said before remembering formalities and added, “by the way, what is your name?” Kitten hissed slightly and Gine looked over, but the long was gone, probably gone outside to find a bird to eat or some other food of some sort.

"Gine?" the young man asked, still looking confused, but then she smiled to her. "Nice to meet you Gine. I'm sorry, someone I know wears a cloak and hood much in the same fashion as you. But hers is red. Red riding. And a wolf? Hm. never mind," the young man waved off of words as they started seeming to get random. As she offered her the bottle he happily drank without thinking. "Ship? No. I had a ship once. But not this time," she shook her head. When asking about others, it forced the young man's mind to focus a little more, "I fell into a river. I was going after. oh." the young man came to the self-shocking realization that she had been chasing a hallucination, "No others would have been with me. I was alone."

As Gine offered her the bread she went back to smiling her friendly smile and took some up to eat. her vision had cleared up by now, and she idly looked around again, about to compliment the little shack when Kitten came up. Waving to the cat, the young man smiled to her, too, "Hello Kitten. Nice to meet you, too." she greeted the long cheerfully, not seeming to mind her at all. "Oh. See ya later Kitten," she added as the giant long cat skittered away. "I like her, too," she said happily to Gine. Taking another bite of bread, and another drink of water, all without thinking, the young man started to look guilty. "Oh no. I'm drinking all your water. and eating all your bread. I'm sorry. Is there some way I could repay you?" she asked. But she blinked and was distracted when Gine asked her name. "Oh! I'm sorry! I always forget. My name is Amadis Anguiano. It's nice to meet you," he said smiling again, lifting his hand to Gine to offer a handshake.

Gine nodded and smiled a bit but as she extended her hand she withdrew, bringing her hands into her cloak, she didn’t want him to see her tail. At least not yet, “oh, um,” she said quietly before shaking her head, “it’s alright, you don’t need to pay me anything, I can buy it myself from the island,” she turned and pointed in the direction of the man island, “I have a small boat to go there, but I don’t think it’s big enough to take you anywhere beyond the islands.” She thought about how she said that he had fallen into a river. That meant that he has floated all the way to the island. That would have taken a long time, days maybe. With this thought she stood up and began searching around for something. When she didn’t find it, she pinched her chin in thought before sitting back down and said, “I don’t really have much food, the only thing to eat around here is fish and oysters, would you like me to get you some? It’s a good idea if you eat after being out so long on the water.”

She stood up then looked down at her bag and murmured an “oh,” before she bent down and lifted it up. She turned it over and dumped it on the ground, knocking out all the sand before turning it back over. She could use this to hold the food that she caught, “I might be able to catch a crab if you want, “she said turning around to face the young man. her name was hard to pronounce. She wondered if she would be bothered if she gave her a nickname. When Gine withdrew Amadis just put his hand back down naturally, still smiling, not being bothered by Gine not wanting to shake his hand. He didn't even seem to notice that she didn't. "That wouldn't be fair of me," he said, then started patting her pockets, as if searching for something that might be in them, "Lets see. I have a little bit of zeni Did you say islands?" he interrupted himself.

Gently standing up, she looked out the window Gine had been looking out through before. "Oh, wow! A beach! Beach side property. That's rare. Where are we?" she asked. As she did she had turned to look back to Gine again, watching her as she searched around. "Oh, if you don't have much food I couldn't take what you have. What about you? Are you hungry?" she asked. "Crab's usually expensive. I once caught crab, though. I know! I'll help you catch some stuff! Then we can eat together. Does Kitten like seafood, too? Or only birds?" she asked, taking a step towards the door. But her legs wobbled underneath her. While her spirits were up, her body was not. Falling to one knee, she managed to keep herself up a little and not completely fall over. "Woah. Haha. okay, maybe I can't help you gather. But I can cook if you want. Unless you like to cook. I could still help you, though. I make a pretty good prep cook," Amadis said, looking up to Gine from her shaky kneeling position.

He didn't seem the type to be offended by being given a nickname. Gine jumped forward to catch the young man but she caught herself, “see?” she said, “you need to eat,’ she looked around again, then took out the silk blanket that she had made and laid it down on the floor of the shack, “this is my home,” she said softly, “I found it, I’ve been fixing it up a bit, it was really run down, but it’s a nice place to be now.” She walked over and helped the young man to sit on the blanket, “here, you can sit here and,’ she grabbed the basket, “eat some more bread. Bread is good for you,” she looked at the little crevice but Kitten had not returned, “I don’t know if Kitten likes anything but birds, but, that’s not important right now. I’ll be right back,” she said turning and going out the door. She ran around the island to where there were a lot of rocks and she kicked off her boots and began to climb them. Her legs unfurled from under her cloak and helped her navigate across them so that she didn’t fall down.

She turned over a rock and saw a few oysters dig themselves into the shallow sand. Gine snatched at them, digging into the sand and finally picking two out and putting them into the bag. She turned over another rock and caught a few more. Four rocks later she counted how many she had. Six, six was a good number right? She shook her head and then she began wading out into the shallows. There were a few tiny fish in schools that shimmered in the light, but they were too small to eat. Humming in thought she reached behind her and pulled out some silk. She bent down and quickly caught one of the tiny fishes. She tied one end of the silk around the tail of the fish then she threw the fish towards deeper water. She wrapped the other end around her wrist and waited. Keeping the bag in the water so that the oysters would stay alive.
Amadis let Gine lead him to the blanket, coming to sit down on it as she suggested him to. He looked to the bread, and was trying to fight the urge to eat. But his body won out. His body's need to survive would often overpower his illogical mind. Picking up some of the bread, he started eating it, smiling to Gine as if showing her that she was accepting her kindness. "Bread is good. I like bread," he nodded.

As Gine left, Amadis leaned over a little. His leaning would eventually turn to lying back down. He was tired, but he didn't seem to understand why. In between gulps of bread, he talked to himself. "Wasn't I just asleep? Shouldn't I be rested, then?" he asked himself. No answers coming, he turned over onto her stomach, finding this a more comfortable position. He then started to wonder about Gine. "Gine's voice sounds young, maybe in the twenties. Does she seem kinda small? I wonder how old she is. Old enough to be taking care of herself? This is a nice home, though. She did a good job fixing it up. I hope I'm not messing it up," he kept talking, then looked down at the silk blanket, worrying he was getting it soaked, "Wet clothes. Bad clothes. I hope you dry up soon," he said to his clothes. His eyes fluttered as her active mind was fighting with his tired body. His body would win out, though, and his eyes would shut again. He would rest until Gine came back. Even in his sleep, though, he was still trying to figure out ways to help Gine somehow. He under a compulsion to help her. She had given her food and water after.

Gine was sitting on the shore of an ocean, trying to eat some lunch. She caught a couple large fish with her makeshift fishing line. She figured that one fish each was enough for them. She dropped her silk in the water and cut it from her back before looking around for a crab she went back onto the beach and pounced on a crab and picked it up. It was a hermit crab. She set it on the end of one of her legs and the crab pinched the tip, but the exoskeleton kept her from feeling any pain. It was too small to eat and she looked around for something bigger. There was nothing and she rubbed her head in frustration. She then took her bag and put her boots back on.

She walked back to the shack and looked in through the single window and saw that the young man was asleep. She put her hand over his mouth and but on his thumb before she cleared out some sand in front of the shack. She dug a small hole there and then ran around gathered a few stones to put around it. She then ran about gathering more driftwood and dry grass. She tossed these into the pit, then quietly she snuck into the shack and got two rocks. She paused, looking down at the young man, bending down slightly before going back outside. She hit the two rocks together until she got a spark and caught the grass on fire.

She gently blew on it until the flame could sustain itself. She ran to the inner island and got two sticks, sharpening one of each end to a point with her tail. She then speared the two fish on them and put them over the fire to cook. She then took out the oysters and began to take the sand off of them, setting them down on a large leaf. The young man's eyes sprung open when his ears caught the sounds of the sparking rocks. Trying to push himself up, his body struggled under her own weight. "Come on body. You can do it," he said to himself as he gradually got himself back up onto his knees. Taking a good moment to rest still, he remained sitting on his knees to test how well she could stay up. It would be a while before he would be confident in standing up.

As time passed, she heard Gine come back. Taking a deep breath, Amadis got himself up off the floor and steadily but slowly walked out to the fire Gine had made. "Good morning," she said with a smile and wave as she came to sit next to the fire, "Or afternoon?" she asked, showing she wasn't sure what time it was. "That's quite a catch you made!" Amadis noted the two fish. Seeing as she already started cooking, Amadis let Gine take care of the meal, unless she showed any indication that she wanted her to do something.

Looking around again, she took note of her shack once more. "You sure know how to do a lot. How long have you been living here?" he asked. "Is it just you and Kitten here?" he pondered. He scooted a little closer to the fire. The sun was warm, but couldn't beat the fire. Amadis liked the heat. And the flames seemed to keep her attention, her eyes entranced by the glow. Gine paused and looked at the young man, pulling at her hood again as she looked up at the sky and said, “it’s about four o’clock,” she said before getting back to cleaning the oysters, “I’ve been here for about a week,” she said, laying the oysters out on the leaf and arranging them first one way, then the other, trying to find a design that looked nice.

“Yeah, it’s just me and Kitten here, the islands a little too small for other people I think, that’s why no one is here. But you can see the other islands from here. I don’t actually live here. I sort of move around the world to see what there is to see. I’ve taken a liking to this place though,” she looked up, finally arranging the oysters in a spiral design and noticed that the young man was looking into the fire. She had a feeling that she was a bit odd, but she wouldn’t say anything about it, merely tugged at her hood and checked the sticks to make sure they weren’t burning. She didn’t want the fish to fall into the fire.

“I hope you’re fine with sushi,” she said, setting the leaf closer to her. She picked up one of the oysters and used her claw to open it up. She then scooped the oyster off the shell and tilted her head and let it slip down her throat. She grimaced a bit and shivered. She had never liked fish or any other sort of seafood for that matter, but she would eat them to survive, it was about the only thing to eat. She moved the sticks again and then sat down on the sand before standing up and grabbing the blanket from the shack and bringing it out. She set it down for the young man to sit on, because it would not be nice to have her sit there and let the sand stick to her all over.

"Only a week? Hm, that's a pretty short time," Amadis said, though then gave a little laugh, "Not that I'm one to talk. A week is longer than I usually live in one place. But, where did you live before coming here? The other islands?" Amadis asked as he looked up, trying to get a view of them. Tropical islands it seemed. Or at least with palm trees. In the back of her mind the question of what islands they were on lingered, but didn't quite surface. "Sure I like sushi," she said. She had given up on fighting her offers for food, as that would be rude at this point. He picked up one of the oysters and a nearby rock, using the rock to pry open the oyster. Basically drinking down the oyster, he smiled, "Mm, yummy." But he noticed Gine's reaction to her own oyster. "Uh oh. Not a fan of oysters? Or just got a bad one?" he asked concerned.

Watching Gine sit and stand up again, she tilted her head in observation, following her with her eyes as she went into the shack and then back out. Seeing her offer her the blanket, Amadis smiled and nodded. Standing up for a moment, the sand had stuck onto her pants pretty good. She didn't want to get the blanket dirty, so she did her best to brush and scrape off the muddy sediment. Once she did her best to make her pants clean, she sat down on the blanket. "You're a very kind young lady. You've been so nice to me. It warms my heart to have met you Gine. I hope I'm not taking you too far out of your way in trying to care for me," Amadis said.

Gine smiled up at her before sitting down on the other end of the blanket and put the oysters between them. She opened another and forced it down her throat before she put the shell to the side. She would find a use fore them, “I lived in Dawn for a while,” she said calmly checking the fish to see if they were done, “but uh. some stuff happened and I moved here. And don’t worry, you’re not making me do anything I don’t normally do anyway.” She took the fish away from the fire and she pulled them off the sticks, hissing slightly as they began to burn her fingers and she dropped it on a leaf. She then peeled the skin off of it and put the leaf in front of the young man, “I don’t have any utensils so. you’re okay with using your fingers? If not I can make something like a fork,” she began looking around for a stick that would suffice for a utensil for now, finding none, and deciding that she would wait for her answer she got to work on peeling the skin off of her fish.

She hummed a small tune as she did so and then also set the skins of the fish to the side. She could use it for bait to catch more fish later, maybe even some crabs. She picked some meat off the bone of her fish and ate it, looking up at the young man before tugging at her hood and eating a little more. Fish was better than oysters in her opinion, so she would let her have the rest of the oysters. "Banora? They made juice there," she commented. Speaking in the past tense, she acknowledged some knowledge of what had happened to Banora. But she didn't bring it up any further since Gine didn't seem to want to talk about it. Changing the subject, he asked, "Hey, what kinds of things do you like to eat? I don't mean to boast, but I'm a pretty good cook. If I can get the ingredients I could make you whatever you'd like. It would be nice to have a dinner with you and me-"

"Oh! Be careful!" she said gently as she hissed from fish being too hot. But she seemed okay. Nodding as she handed her the fish, she then shook her head, "Using my fingers is perfectly fine. Don't worry yourself," she said, not wanting her to bother with crafting anything. She carefully picked at the meat on the fish, separating it from the bones and anything else that shouldn't be eaten. She happily at down the fish, watching as Gine ate hers, too. She was glad to see her eating as well. He then noticed her tug at her hood again, which made her smile a little more. "It's funny. You really are very much like someone I know. She really liked her hood, too. Always had it covering her eyes. She said the world was too bright or something," she said as she cracked open another oyster.

“Hmm?” she asked as she ate some more meat. She was curious as to who all these people were, the young man must have been very popular. She was also curious about the Kay person. Was she like her? Mutated? She hummed in thought and looked at the fish, “I don’t really know. My father always told me to never be picky, because if I’m picky and there’s only one type of food around, then I’ll starve.”

She looked up at the sun again before looking down at the fish. She reached over and took the young man’s from the leaf and put it with the other things that could be useful later and got back to eating her fish. She picked it up and looked it over before setting it down again, “seafood isn’t so bad I guess,” she murmured before looking up at the man. “Are you feeling better?” she asked noting that she seemed to be doing better, “do you need more water or some more to eat?” as she said this she stood up and walked back into the shack and came out with the bread and set the basket down between them. She took some and put some fish on it and then another piece of bread on top of that and ate it like a sandwich. It tasted a little better that way.

Amadis nodded, "My daughter," he answered before she swallowed down the oyster and ate some more fish. He chuckled a little at what Gine said, "Your father sounds like a smart man. But you don't have to worry too much about that. When you're really, really hungry, everything tastes yummy. Your body won't let you starve." she watched as she gathered up the remains of their meal. She smiled a little as she said that seafood wasn't so bad, figuring she really would rather have something different.

"I am feeling much better, thank you. I have a pretty fast metabolism, so just getting the food into my belly is doing me a world of good," she nodded. Once again she shook her head right after, though, but she had already gotten up to go to the shack and back. Watching her make a fish sandwich, Amadis looked at the bread. He liked bread himself. And Gine seemed to like the bread. He wondered if she might like other grains.

"Do you like spaghetti? I can make pretty good spaghetti and meatballs in a tomato sauce," he offered, assuming she could get these ingredients one way or another. She then seemed to get lost in thought, though. How would get get the ingredients? He hadn't remembered trying to shop in a long time. Someone else had shopped for her? "Hm. wait. Wasn’t she just a hallucination?" she randomly said out loud to herself. His mind was getting confused again. When she realized that one thing was a hallucination, he forgot that another thing was real. At least partially.

He seemed troubled. "Wait. didn't she." he mumbled to herself again. Frowning for a second, he then shook his head, "No, that was in another life time," he said, the smiled back to Gine again. "She’s a much better person now," she said, starting to go into a random story seemingly without provocation, "She was created to be a weapon. Poor little thing was made as something pretty terrible. But eventually she got free. She was a curious little thing. Part werewolf, part scorpion, or tarantula, I'm not really sure. But even still, when she regained herself she was just an adorable little girl. She dressed up like Red Riding Hood. Always found it funny because she could play both Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood at the same time. But she's a vegetarian now," Amadis rambled this random amalgamation of words.

“Gine looked up at her as she spoke, chewing slowly before swallowing and asking, “what is spaghetti?” she then listened intently to what she said next, though it made little sense at the beginning, it enraptured her afterwards. She stared at her, listening to the part about being made for a weapon, and disregarded the last little bit. She pulled her cloak a little tighter around herself as she looked at the ground in thought. Someone else had been made to be used for dangerous reasons, and had escaped, and was now living an apparently normal life, could she live one as well?

She bit her lower lip, then tugged at her hood and looked at the sand before absent-mindedly beginning to eat again. She reached over and took up some of the oyster shells and looked at them for a moment wondering what they could be used for, “I know!” she said and she set them down, “I can make the shells into spoons, and the fishbones into forks.” Gine smiled, she enjoyed being resourceful and useful. She crossed her legs and grabbed a stick of driftwood and held the shell to the top. She could make little dents in the sides and tie it to the stick. That would work perfectly, and she could do the same to the bones, tying three together on a stick with a broken one between each one.

Amadis blinked as Gine called out her eureka. Looking at her, she listened to her plan with a smile. "They would make very pretty spoons. I can also make meatball soup. Those are the two meatball recipes I know. It is surprising you don't know what spaghetti is, though. It's a kind of bundle of strings made of dough. Like bread. But a very different texture. We'll definitely have to get you some to try. You could use the new forks you'll make to eat it. You twirl a fork on spaghetti to eat it," she explained, gesturing the twirling motion with one of her hands.

Taking a deep breath, she stood up and stretched, her body having regained some of its vigor. "That's what we should do. Lets get you some more stuff to eat. You said town is nearby? Where you can buy things? Is it one one of the other islands? Oh, wait. Before we get going. Is there anything you need help with around here? I've done a bit of carpentering, if you want any help with your home," she offered, looking back to her shack. “I don’t know if I like meatballs anymore,” Gine admitted a little sheepishly, She looked down at the beginnings of her silverware collection before gathering them up and moving them to the shack She came back out and tended t the fire before looking up as the young man stood and stretched and began talking again. He listened then began to put sand over the fire. He shouldn’t leave it burning if they were going to leave.

“It’s on another one of the islands,” she said, pointing in the direction of the main island, “I don’t like going there, there are too many people,” she looked over at her shack and thought of the things that she needed to do with it but didn’t see how the young man could help in any way. She bit her lower lip and got back to putting out the fire before she stood up. “How are we going to buy food is you only have a little bit of zeni and I don’t have any?” she asked looking up at the young man, “I sometimes do odd jobs and go on quests. You really have caught me at a bad time. I’m not always living like a hermit out here! I’m usually out doing exciting things!”

Gine untied the boat from the tree and put the rope inside then began to push it across the sand towards the water. On the horizon could be seen the main island of Din, “it’s actually a bad idea, I think, for you to stay here too long,” she murmured as the boat contacted the water, “there’s a lot of ki around these areas. Normal people get sick often.”"Some? You sure are awful young. Impressive that you can take care of yourself do well," Amadis said as she followed after her along the beach. "Din? Wow. People usually can only head there for vacation. Famous hot springs. Those would be nice to visit. Probably costs a lot more than two-hundred zeni, though," she said and gave a chuckle. " Condor? That might be nice to see. I haven't been to the East in. longer than I can remember! That's a good idea! We Should head there next!" Amadis said excitedly, curiously using the word "we."

Amadis went to go help Gine push her boat through the sand and into the water. She was about to look out to the main island to enjoy the sight, but Gine's words caught her again. She smiled and went to place a hand gently on Gine's hooded head. "Thank you for the concern. But you don't need to worry about me. I'm not exactly normal. ki hopefully shouldn't be a problem. I've never tried to go swimming in it, mind you. But I have a feeling I'd be-" He interrupted himself, turning his head curiously, "Wait, what about you? You shouldn't stay here long, either then. Younger people are more susceptible to getting sick," she said as she got into the water with the boat to hold it steady so Gine could get in. "Wouldn't it be a bad idea for you to stay here too long, too, then? You've already been here for two weeks," she said concerned.

This this speech might give away that she wasn't talking about Gine and her going to Condor before when she said "we." Though now she might be considering it. Gine lowered her head slightly before hopping into the dingy and taking up the two oars, “I’m uh. I’m not normal,” she said quietly as she waited for her to get in. She looked over at the shiny black tail that were her fingernails and bit her lip again before tugging on her hood to better hide her face, “I’ve already fallen into a pit of despair as of late, so I’m kind of used to it, I guess.”

She took the oars up again and began to row the two of them towards the main island. She looked over the side of the boat into the blue-green of the ocean, slowly fading to a dark blue, maybe she should go fishing in the deeper waters, she would probably find bigger fish out there. He turned her gaze back to the inside of the boat and looked at the rope and then back at her. He had asked her how old she was and said that people had a hard time guessing his age. He had a daughter, so she had to be at least twenty, but she acted really young, so she wouldn’t put her older than twenty five.

“Are you twenty-two?” he asked, taking a guess at her age to see if she could get it right. It was probably off, but at least she could give it a try, and it was something to do while rowing. She would have to take a break in a little bit, she was young and not very physically strong.
Amadis hopped into the boat after Gine got in, but she had beaten her to the oars. She let her row for now, since she had already done so many nice things for her so far. She had rather given up on trying to get her to stop doing all the work. At least directly. She bid her time for now, occasionally glancing at the oars. "Nothing wrong with not being normal. All that really matters is you make the best you can out of your life," she started saying, but then was quite for a moment as she said she had fallen into a pit of dispair. "Oh dear. I'm sorry to hear that. You seem alright now. Were the doctors able to heal you up?" he asked.

He seemed lost in thought as he stared out into the waters. He let her think, though her own mind was going a mile a minute trying to figure out what she was thinking about. But his curiosity would be answered soon enough. Guessing at twenty-two made Gine give a nice hearty laugh and slap her knee, "Hahaha! I sure look that young, don't I? Nope. I actually have no idea. I came to this time through a time portal! It distorted my age and I haven’t aged a bit since I got here" she boasted proudly and brightly, as if her claimed age was in any way believable. Perhaps this would confirm Amadis’ earlier notion that there was something odd about Gine, mentally at least.

When Gine let go of the oars to take a break, Amadis quickly went to take hold of them himself. He smiled a friendly and gentle smile as he started rowing for her, heading them still towards Din's main island. He wasn't as good at rowing as Gine was, showing he had little experience in doing so. But he sure had a lot of stamina, and kept at it, rowing them as best he could. It seemed like now that he had eaten something his body had caught up to her mind in terms of energy. “That’s. really old,” said Gine looking up at the man, she protested slightly when she took the oars but settled down. He didn’t want to rock the boat, he didn’t know how to swim. He looked at the interior of the dingy again with her thoughts at how old the man was, and her talk of not being ashamed of being different. She tugged at her hood again and closed her eyes. She couldn’t understand how he was different.

She rested her hands in her lap and remained quiet for the rest of the trip. As they reached the dock Gine stood up with the rope in her hand. She jumped up on the dock and tied it to the pier then turned and looked at the island with a sigh. She really didn’t like being there, there were far too many people, a lot of them worked for Yaid. But they needed food. She dug into her pocket and filched out a few zeni before turning and handing it to the man, “here, it’s not much, but you should probably spend your money on getting back to the mainlands, otherwise you’ll be stuck here, and your daughter will be lost and alone for a really long time.”

Amadis noted that Gine got really quiet. Once again she tugged on her hood. She couldn't help but feel that she was sad. Things just weren't sounding good to Amadis. Some years old. All alone if you didn't count her random ass pets that she took from time to time. From a destroyed town. Fell into dispair. Doesn't like socializing with humans that much. Seemed sad, to Amadis at least. Individually these factors wouldn't have given Amadis pause, but they were building up. He watched Gine as she got out and tied her boat to the pier. her concern grew as she sighed. About then she realized she was still in the boat, so she hopped out. When she reached into her pocket and handed her some zeni her eyes went wide. She quickly shook her head, going to gently clasp his hands around her hands so that she couldn't hand over the zeni.

"Oh no no no. This really is too much. You gave me a nice place to rest. You hunted for me and fed me. You've already done way too much for me. You said you didn't have much zeni. I couldn't take what little you have," she protested. Gine's words started sinking in to Amadis' mind, though. Triggering what little logical center in her brain was left, Amadis' mouth went agape. Falling to his knees, a rush of memories came to him. "My daughter. She is real. And I left her all alone. How long have I been gone? She's back in the desert. How will I get back there? She's not human. She's afraid of humans. What will she do without me?" he shuttered, looking like he was about to mentally break down.

Gine looked at her hand as the old man, closed her around it, keeping her from giving him the money. She looked up at her for a moment before her gaze dropped with her and she began talking to herself in a panicked voice. Gine tried to take in all that she said and began to understand her position, and also began to feel a bit awkward. After a moment she rested her hands on her shoulders and bent down on one knee in front of him and began to console him.

“Hey, it’s okay, please calm down,” she said before trying to get her to look into her eyes, “you can take the boat to Condor, then you can go to Dawn and take the ship that goes to There, then you can go down to the desert, it won’t take you very long, only about a day, it’s alright.” She bit her lip slightly then stood up and tried to get her to stand, “come on, let’s go to the boat before it leaves,” she tugged on her slightly, “come on we have to hurry,” she let her go and began to lead the way, running slowly so that she would not lose the man, her cloak fluttering behind her, and she had to hold onto the edge of her hood in order to keep it from flying back and possibly letting her tail show from within the robe.

She wove carefully through the crowd and caught sight of the raft, she turned back around and called out to the man, "it's still here hurry!" she then ran into someone and fell backwards onto the ground. Gine's hands coming down onto Amadis' shoulders would cause her to jolt a little as the contact surprised her due to her being lost in her own mind. her pupils shrunk as she was pulled back to reality by Gine's calming words. But as her eyes dilated back to normal size, so did her smile. She was back to her cheerful self again. But this form of her wasn't any more attached to reality as his panicked state had been. He had just traded one craziness for another.

Blinking as Gine tried to get her to stand, which was a pretty easy thing to do, she stumbled forward as she tugged on her. She happily ran along behind Gine, doing her best to keep pace with her. Dodging and spinning through the crowd to try to stay close to Gine as she wove through the people, she almost looked like she was dancing through the crowd. She seemed amused and happy, giving a hearty chuckle as she bobbed and twirled passed the people. His eyes sparkled a bit as Gine turned around to point out that the boat was still there.

"Uh oh!" Amadis called out, though, as the hooded girl took a tumble backwards. She quickly went to gently catch the young girl before she hit the ground, carefully trying to make a frame with her arms so she could safely cushion herself against her body. "Are you okay Gine?" he asked in a worried but hopeful tone, hoping that no harm would have happened to the girl. Amadis also looked up to make sure the person she ran into knew it was just an accident. Gine looked up at the man as she caught her, then panicked slightly. With how close she was and with his arms around her was making her uncomfortable. She already had a man. She caught her breath in her throat and pushed the man away from her before gasping in a breath and pulling her cloak tighter around her. She turned to look at the person she had run into but they seemed to be unfazed, they hadn’t even fallen down. He was a tall man in a dark suit, with long dark hair kept in a ponytail.

“I’m sorry,” she said hastily before reaching back and taking the man’s hand and pulling her towards the raft, “hurry,” he said to her, “it’s going to leave!” she stopped at the raft and the man who was in charge of ferrying it to Condor and back and gasped out of breath, “how much is it to board?” The man looked her up and down before looking at the man and looking her up and down as well before answering in a gruff voice, “40 zeni,” Gine sighed in relief. The man had enough to pay for the raft and still have some left over. She turned around to him and said, “you should hurry.”

If Amadis felt Gine's extra arms, she showed know sign of it. Logically he would have felt her hesitation. But he gave no reaction to them. Maybe she didn't notice. Or maybe it didn't occur to her what they were. Or maybe she didn't mind that she had someone else. Whatever the reasoning, she gave no reaction either way. her hold was as loose as it could have been on Gine. She was just trying to catch her, not hug her, so Gine could easily push away from him. Straightening herself out, Amadis didn't find much time to stand before Gine pulled her along again to the gruff sounding man. 40 zeni. That wasn't bad. Amadis smiled and reached into his pockets, pulling out 80 zeni, and then went to hand it over to Gine. To Gine, and not the man in charge of the ferry. He smiled a gentle and friendly smile to Gine.

"Why don't you come with me? It sounds like you know your way around the world. But at the same time it sounds like there's so many things you haven't experience. My daughter would love to meet you. You shouldn't stay on that little island all alone. My daughter is holding most of our money, so if you do want to come back here we can easily help you get back. And there are so many yummy foods out there to try," Amadis tried. Gine looked at the man before looking down at the money he was giving her. She then looked up with a sad and somewhat scared expression and shook her head, “I can’t, I have to stay here alone for a while. I’m safe here, really I’m a motherfucking super powered bitch, probably thinking that a girl my age couldn’t get here alone,” she bit her lip, realizing that she had revealed that she was more than a helpless girl. She looked at the ground before looking up, “if I stay with you, I’ll probably blow you up when I get mad.”

She tugged on her hood and looked around before looking back at the man, “it was nice to meet you Mr. Amidas, I really enjoyed your company, but I have to stay here. Fish isn’t so bad.” She bowed at the waist and then turned around, making her way back towards the docks. She carefully hopped into the dingy and began to untie herself from the post. Amadis looked a little sad when Gine walked away. Putting his zeni back in his pocket, he let out a little sigh. "Poor little thing. I hope she'll be alright. Hm. Amidas. That's a new one. I'll have to write that one down," she talked to herself. She didn't like the sound of people being after Gine. But she had already gone away, Amadis having turned around to watch her get into her little boat. There was a loud thumping sound, though, that interrupted any further thoughts Amadis might have had. Even louder for her, as the sound echoed through her head. "Ow," he let out. And then everything went black for him. Something had hit the young man hard enough to knock him out. His mind turned out like a light, her body went limp shortly after. Amadis wasn't aware of it, but he was being carried away. His time on the Din Islands would be shortly over.

Gine dropped the roped into the boat and picked up the oars. She rowed herself quickly away from the island towards the smaller one that she lived on. Halfway there, her arms threatened to fall off so she pulled in the oars and rested, looking at the bottom of the boat. She didn’t want to be alone, it was just what was best. After a moment she leaned over the side of the boat and looked at her reflection in the water. Slowly she pulled back her hood and looked at the six pairs of small jewel eyes that were set in her forehead.

She stared at her reflection for a long time, letting the waves rock her boat gently from side to side. She slowly rested her chin against the side of the boat, blinking once before she picked the oars up and continued on her way to her island. She dragged the boat up the beach and tied it to a tree, then made her way to the shack. She picked up the shells and bones from the meal that she had with the man. She picked up the blanket last and walked inside the shack, shutting the door behind her. She really needed to get out of this island more often. Perhaps it was time for another adventure!

Welp Gine sat around for a little while and got utterly bored with what she had been doing for the past few days. Living like a hermit. This was definitely a low point in her time here on earth. She cursed herself for even trying to live like this. She had just helped some old guy for no reason other than having absolutely nothing better to do with her time. Would she rather sit here like an idiot for a few years? Or did she want to go out and do some exciting stuff like blowing shit up? She decided on the later and headed off towards the city, blasting off into the sky as she made her decision.

Gine yawned for a few moments as she slowly started waking up in the hotel that other Saiyans were staying at. She still regretted helping that old man even though it was the right thing to do. It was the reason why Gine had been so tired, as she exerted herself quite a lot that day. The details were history, and anyone who wanted to relive the story of what happened that day, well then they would just have to go. Gine slept well that night and most of the morning too. It was already 11:30 A.M when she finally awoke from her sleep. Gine stretched her jaw a bit after the massive yawn and smacked her lips together a few times. She then scratched her side, then her head, and then her polearm before she finally flapped her arms a few times and floated out of the bed she was sleeping in before landing on the floor.
