Difficulty: Easy

Description:

Metro West has been terrorized by night time attacks. A monster known as "The Peetzae" is deemed responsible. A bounty has been put on the head of this monster. However, it won't be as easy as you think; the Peetzae is known to possess high speed, and even the ability to use Ki! Coupled with that, reports indicate it seems to have the ability to enter and exit any pitch-black shadow, as if they were portals, or doors.

  • ~Well now, this was definitely something Nine didn’t see every day. Ok well maybe it was in his past, but he didn’t fucking remember anyways. So as he entered the city it was a whole new experience for him so to speak. Thankfully the city still had about an hour of light left. So Nine got to see the shops all around and some people in the streets as he walked through. Kids hurried along with their parents, as shops began to lock up. Nine knew this place would turn into a ghost town soon enough as the sun began to set behind the mountains. It was also at night that a rumored strange creature came out to play.

Regardless for Nine he didn’t give a shit in doing this out of kindness alone. He simply wanted the challenge for one. Hell he had to start somewhere and well a mercenary for hire just didn’t seem that bad of a gig. He needed to keep his mind off of something else that had him rather confused to say the least. So action it was to get himself back into the game so to speak. He knew he had a few talents under his sleeve and now it was time to relearn them the harder way. He let a small smile crack over his lips as the sun began to set further. This plunged a slow darkness over the city as he kept his vigilance about him.

He got to see same of the sights but now it was time for the action. Hell he was getting antsy anyways. That Roshi character was really quite odd to him anyhow, so he needed to get out for a while. Even so, the stage was set as Nine watched the street of the city become a baron wasteland damn near. The people were definitely hiding and this only made Nine smirk a bit wider in thought. His hands moved up about stomach high before he clasped them in one another. This was only followed up by a quick popping sound as he cracked his knuckles. Nine was as ready as he could be, he hoped.

Minutes of waiting soon turned into hours though, as Nine let a slow and steady pace carry him along the streets in search for the beast. Sure Nine was patient, but yet not this patient as he growled to himself in the open air. Though, just as Nine was about to turn a corner when he paused, the sound of an explosion rang into his ears. Just before his eyes caught a glimpse of a building collapsing. With quick reaction Nine turned his form and dashed straight for the area. As soon as he got there and the dust settled he grunted softly to himself as he saw nothing soon enough. He let out a slow breath as he tilted his head half in disappointment.

Then his peripherals caught a yellow energy ball coming his way. His feet moved as his body dashed backwards avoiding the incoming blast. His eyes turned towards the ball as it exploded against another building before he turned towards its source. A large creature was already on the move, it was quick indeed and yet Nine took pride in his own speed. It let out a growl as if angry at himself for missing, as it moved towards Nine with an eager fist ready to pulverize him. Nine now grinned once again smug like, as he turned his body away from the creatures blow and allowed his own elbow to come up. He used the momentum of his own spin to ram his blow home against the creatures back hard and fast.

He knew the creature wasn’t expecting some sort of fight, since he had grown all too comfortable with terrorizing the weaklings of the city. Thus, with the balance of the creature off with the blow, Nine followed up when his body pushed low to the ground. This allowed his leg to sweep out knocking the larger form to the ground on his face. Now this was something that Nine needed, someone to improve himself on, someone to take out his pent up anger on. So as he moved back and got into a defensive stance, the creature was already pushing himself to stand and face Nine with a roar of rage.

Nine knew this would be where the fun truly started as he braced himself. The creature though was holding back as he then dashed faster than before. Nine’s eyes widened as he could barely keep up with its movements now. His calculations ran in his mind and his eyes as he scanned to keep up. Then suddenly the creature was right in front of him with his fist slammed into Nine’s gut. In a gasp as if for air Nine’s mouth gaped. This just before an energy ball enveloped around the creatures hand in his gut. Which sent both it and Nine flying back into the nearest building with a strong explosion.

The creature simply laughed as Nine grunted to find himself. His eyes closed for a mere moment as he pushed part of a brick wall off of himself and stood up. This is where Nine could thank whomever for his upgrades as his outer shell seemed rather unscathed still. To the creatures amazement Nine was up and rolling his shoulders. As if to stretch off the blow caused to him. Of course Nine had his own secrets as well since he too was holding back some. So with another sly yet smug grin, Nine pushed off with his right foot faster than before. He dashed straight to the creature before he made a quick pivot jumping to its right side. To go with his little strafe his right foot pushed up into the creature’s side with a force that sent it airborne into the streets concrete.

He kept the smug look upon his face as the creature stood up soon after and took to the attack. The clash between the two started for sure as the creature went in head on. He even started to throw fist after fist in anger. Yet, Nine kept his smug resolve as his forearms managed to block the reckless swings of the creature. Those blocks were even accompanied with his own counters of kicks and punches himself. An yet seemingly even matched the two stayed locked in a swift resolve of counters and blocks. Neither combatant seemed to want to give an inch to their opponent. They both held the speed and this was fact since both followed each other with eager eyes for openings.

Though, with a good blow to the creatures chin with a swiftly placed hard uppercut the lock ended. It felt like hours though since the two met up. It was unfortunate though for Nine as the creature landed on its back, that he still held one more card up its sleeve. The creature growled once more at Nine, but then instead of attacking it moved off towards a shadowed alleyway corner. This was where it simply seemed to fade into the night out of his sight and Nine blinked a moment. His stance unwavering as he glanced about as if the creature played some sort of parlor trick. Did it really just disappear into the shadows? If it could move that fast simply using shadows, how in the hell was he going to beat it now?~

  • ~Great, with this new development Nine now had to make a choice for himself. Ok more than just one simple choice. Of course one answer was to simply run away and avoid this shit all together. Though, Nine wasn’t simply someone to back down. The next question then, would have to be how did he fight against a creature that seemed to teleport through shadows? He knew now he had to be extremely vigilant. And also try and find a way to predict it’s movements before it could do too much damage. His gaze frantically roamed about as Nine wanted to find the creature now more than ever. He didn’t want to play the hide and seek game damnit.

Nine wanted this battle to be stand up and man to well beast. He didn’t get that pleasure though as he soon felt a large hand grasp his ankle. A grunt left Nine as he tried to turn his form and kick the creatures head as he emerged from the shadow. It was too bad that the creature expected this and blocked the kick with his other hand. This was just before he stood up and ripped Nine literally off of the ground. With its strength the creature flailed Nine’s form in the air before he brought him down against the street, with a slam. The creature wasn’t done though as he swung him up once more and slammed him onto the other side of the street. Just before it started to kick his chest and head.

Nine was dazed for sure now as he felt both impacts and let out a gasp trying to refocus himself. His hands even brought themselves up to his face as he blocked a few of the hard kicks. He knew he had to act, thus Nine finally mustered up his energy and focus an launched a knee into the creatures gut with his free leg. This caused a pause in the beating that Nine took advantage off. His leg then swung up and landed against the creatures head hard. His leg was finally dropped as the creature went reeling back against a wall before it once again disappeared.

There was no time to waste as Nine jumped up onto his feet and glared. Once again his gaze roamed about as he tried to regain his composure. The beast was gone again but not for long as he popped its torso up from a shadow like a goffer. There was little time to react as an energy blast was sent Nine’s way. Fortunately Nine had enough time to spot the thing and dash aside from the blast. Just like that though, the beast was gone again. Another shot came Nine’s way, followed by another. He had no time now as he played dodge the blasts while the beast stayed strafing from shadow to shadow. Nine could only jump, dash, and dodge from each beam as it came his way.

Nine now wondered just who the true goffer was, the creature popping half out of shadows, or himself as he dipped, ducked, dodged, and dipped again out of the way. He knew neither of them could simply keep this up all night long could they? Nine just didn’t know thus he reacted on basic instinct to survive. Just as the creature was about to leave its current shadow Nine sent out his quick Mesposo beam and gave the thing a haircut. The beast yelped sharply but was gone the next moment, though this also caused a pause from the creature’s blasts. Thus, Nine regained his balance.

The tactics had changed once again as the beast was more pissed than ever now. He emerged from Nine’s shadow once again but this time he expected that. It was a quick turn and Nine sent his punches fast against the creatures chest. This was followed by both hands clasped and coming down upon its head. Nine didn’t let up yet either as he brought both hands back up into the beasts chin using the momentum. After this a spinning right kick was landed against its side. It hit the wall and growled deeply, as he could tell it weakened itself. Of course Nine wasn’t in the best of shape either. Another change in the program swiftly followed as the creature caught scent of another.

A man was trying to escape his shop he closed entirely too late and get home. Of course the creature gave chase in hopes that Nine would sacrifice himself to save the man. Just too bad, since Nine gave a shit less about the guy as the creature quickly caught up to him. This was the mistake that would cost the beast its life, and sadly the man too. Nine took the opening and sent out beam after beam of his Mesposo. Five beams in quick succession hit the beast and even the man in front of it. The creature’s body was destroyed until only its head was left. The explosions even happily blasted the head right at Nine’s feet as he chuckled softly.

Nine had found his opening and exploited it, but at a civilians life as cost. He gave no second thought to this as he picked up the head and went straight towards the employers place. The head was dropped onto a desk and Nine stood behind it with his arms crossed and grinned. “Time to pay up…Or ya could join em for not delivering…I’d rather have the money though.” Of course Nine didn’t really care about taking this guy’s life, but he simply wanted what was promised for the disposal of the creature.~
