The Avatar of War
|
After the Avatar of War realized he didn’t know if it was wise for him to continue using the Daedalus, he decided to fish around for a new ship. He however, couldn’t find any place on Kelioux for him to buy one. Thinking that he would have better luck in space, he headed for the control room to head out. While he did so, he wondered if anyone was currently on the ship with him… “Who am I kidding,” he muttered out loud, “It’s not like I’ll get in any trouble.” On that note, he pressed the button to start the ship and placed his legs on the steering wheel as it took off. It shook rapidly for a minute which caused Walid to see what was wrong. Apparently he forgot to send the vessel in auto pilot first. “Well,” he said, “If anyone is onboard, at least I know they’ll be heading this way soon now…” It was still pretty early in the day, but the Avatar of War hoped that no one was sleeping. He’d hate to have interrupted one of his comrade’s slumber. WC: 186 |

The ship started to shake vigorously. Tossing and throwing everything that Raphael had set up in his small room. Various Keliouxian plant life and miscellaneous goods once perched neatly on a shelf, now scattered around. "Damnit" A single word escaped the tired Zaunite's lips as he tossed aside his cover and fought to his feet. Shards of various glass and clay greeted his feet and he began to angrily and sleepily walk off to find out just what the hell was going on. "Walid? What the hell, man? Can you give some kind of warning when you're going to start this up and take off? Seriously! I thought we had a few more weeks of just lying dormant before we left." Raphael's anger started to blaze at the sight of the relaxed avatar in the captain's chair. WC: 147 |

When the rapid sound of footsteps reached Walid’s ears, he suddenly felt like he was indeed wrong about no one being on board the ship. Instead of turning around to see who it was, he decided to sit still like he was asleep. Maybe if he didn’t do anything, he could place blame on his student Mauzu. His ears started to ring as he heard Raphael’s rant and then felt a violent shake from the Daedalus. “SEE IT WASN’T MY FAULT! IT JUST MOVED ON IT’S OWN,” he responded back, but what bothered him was that he didn’t cause the second one… Did they hit something? Before he could even look outside to see what it was, he saw an energy blast sailing a few inches from his head. “WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA---,” he said, thinking that it was his comrade’s attempt to get back at him, “Um who are you.” Apparently they had guest and by the looks of their appearance, they were space pirates looking for easy prey. Knowing that it would be troublesome to fire a counter attack with things being cramped, the Avatar of War decided on another approach. First his body vanished away into a blur, and then he was right behind one of them. As quickly as he could he swung his leg at full speed to send one of them flying. Another one then pulled out an energy blade of some kind in which Walid responded by drawing his Axe to catch it before he could get sliced. Sparks flew as it did so. WC: 262 TWC: 448 |

"I'm sure it was mostly your fault," Raphael spoke as his palm met his forehead. He wasn't quite entertained at the arrival of these "pirates" nor Walid using them as an excuse for leaving Kelioux's surface. Dropping his hand from his face, Raphael replaced his focus on the intruders. Still a bit groggy from just awakening he tried his damnedest to rush forward. Hoovering just slightly above the floor of the ship to avoid placing pressure on his injured feet. His right arm extended in an attempt of launching a right hook into the cheek of the bigger pirate. Once it connected he would retract and realign for a series of short jabs and ending with a right uppercut. A combination that he had learned in their time on Kelioux that was meant for a swift KO, and just as it was purposed to do, the pirate dropped to the floor. "Tis too early for this." The avatar spoke out awaiting Walid's intervention in the matter. "You deal with this other guy, He looks like he'd be a good waste of three minutes if that. I'll return shortly." He added as he faded into pure evergreen energy. His body entering an astral state cleansing the small scraps and deep cuts in the pads of his feet. Rarely did he have to use this method of healing, but this was a special case. The need to get back into fighting form was met, and time was of the essence. It wasn't quite an emergency, but being healthy would aid in the swift dealing of these intruders. WC: 280 TWC: 427 |

The Avatar of War was impressed by how well of a fighter his comrade progressed into. He had to admit, he heard that people in his area were peaceful beings. In the universe, there always came a time when you had to be vicious and ruthless. He was however disappointed with Raphael decided to walk off to leave him to deal with the remaining pirate. “All well, you did manage to take out one of them,” he said, fighting back the other pirate’s energy surging blade, “This guy won’t take long.” First Walid let out a grunt, and then pushed to send his opponent’s weapon away. When it was gone, he made a series of swift cuts at his torso. The pirate wasn’t dead, but the Zaunite was sure he wouldn’t be up for a while. Once that was finished, all that was left was to continue on with his travel. Before he had a chance though, the scouter on the dashboard started to beep. He took a look and when he did, he noticed not one, but a group of people heading for them. Did those pirate set off some kind of distress signal? His question was quickly answered once he heard something dropping onto the roof of the Daedalus. Before the avatar could investigate, he watched as they randomly appeared as if by magic. What the hell are these guys? WC: 231 TWC: 679 |
